Tokyo Shibuya Night Dining & Stroll Course 🌙
Fill up on gyukatsu, then feed your soul with a nighttime walk

A neighborhood you can’t miss on a Tokyo trip is Shibuya. Packed with countless restaurants and shops, this area is even more charming at night than during the day. This time, we introduce a perfect course where you can enjoy a hearty dinner of gyukatsu in Shibuya and a soulful night stroll.

🍽️ Gyukatsu Motomura Shibuya Main Store – The temptation of crispy and rare meat
Location: 2-29-11 Dogenzaka, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo
Hours: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM (Last order 9:30 PM)
Recommended menu: Gyukatsu set meal, wasabi soy sauce, draft beer

Gyukatsu is one of the must-try dishes when you visit Tokyo. The most famous place in Shibuya is undoubtedly "Gyukatsu Motomura." Thick slices of beef are fried rare, creating a crispy outside and tender inside texture that’s exquisite. Each table has a mini charcoal grill where you can lightly grill the meat yourself for extra fun.

You can enjoy it in various ways with wasabi soy sauce, sansho salt, and special sauce, so the taste never gets boring from the first bite to the last. The line can be long, but it moves quickly, so if you go a little earlier in the evening, the wait is manageable.

🚶 Shibuya Scramble Crossing – Tokyo’s symbol, walking amid lively lights
Just a 3-minute walk after your meal. The Shibuya Scramble Crossing, one of the busiest intersections in the world, truly shines at night. Walking among the pouring neon signs and bustling crowds feels like you’re the star of a movie.

We also recommend sitting on the 2nd floor of Starbucks Shibuya Tsutaya to look down at the scene. You can enjoy the rhythm of the moving city with a cup of coffee.

🌃 Shibuya Sky – Tokyo’s ultimate night view, a romantic finish
Location: 47th floor, Shibuya Scramble Square
Hours: 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM (Last admission 9:20 PM)
Admission: About 2,000 yen (online reservation recommended)

If you want to end your Shibuya night emotionally, Shibuya Sky is a must-visit. The 360-degree panoramic night view of Tokyo from 230 meters high is overwhelming. You can see Tokyo Tower, Skytree, and even Yokohama in the distance all at once.

When you step onto the outdoor rooftop and feel the city lights and breeze all around you, the fatigue of travel will melt away.
