Suzhou Cuisine – Su Bang Cai

I had Suzhou cuisine (Su Bang Cai苏帮菜) at Shen Wansan, a restaurant on Shantang Street.

Suzhou cuisine is also on the sweeter side. One of Suzhou’s most famous dishes is Squirrel Fish (Sweet & Sour Mandarin Fish松鼠桂鱼).

We ordered Squirrel Fish, Stir-Fried Yellow Beef(小炒黄牛肉), and Crab Roe Tofu(蟹粉豆腐), and everything was delicious! 😋

We got a set meal from a review platform, which included Suzhou-style rice cakes and several other dishes, plus a complimentary fruit plate.

The service was also very friendly!
