Tiger Hill Scenic Area
I visited this place without much expectation, but it turned out to be quite impressive. I went there to see a single tower, and that tower was surprisingly striking. Despite its tilt, it stands with an odd sense of confidence. Its resilient posture makes you want to take another look.
The paths are well-maintained and easy to walk on. Even with stairs, it’s not exhausting, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll. As you walk without much thought, the trees and stone paths quietly accompany you, and the breeze gently brushes against the emptiness within.
There weren’t as many people as I expected. Without the bustling atmosphere of a typical tourist spot, everyone seemed to quietly observe and feel the surroundings. This kind of experience tends to linger in your memory longer. Whether you take photos or not, simply seeing it with your own eyes feels more rewarding. The scenery, moderately aged yet alive, was truly captivating.
It’s not meticulously groomed like a garden, but that’s what makes it more endearing. The word "serene" naturally comes to mind. It’s rare for a single tower to harmonize so well with its surrounding landscape, but this place is different.
Even amidst Suzhou’s tranquil atmosphere, experiencing the weighty charm of a place like this feels worthwhile. There’s a reason it has stood the test of time.
