A must-see for anyone coming from afar!
It's a historic street in Suzhou. During the Song and Yuan dynasties, Suzhou was also known as Pingjiang, hence the name of the street. The river and street are both narrow; the river is traversed by rowboats, and only rickshaws can pass on the street. Therefore, on the same street, "water and land travel side by side, river and street adjacent," a typical characteristic of a water town.
