In the small fishing village of Sanliaowan, there stands a seven-story building that looks like a palace - Donglong Cultural Center. It is not only an auxiliary space of the temple, but also a treasure house of folk culture. The center is adjacent to the Donglong Temple in Sanliaowan. With "Wangye Faith" as the core, it connects folk customs, art, faith, stories and community memories.
🏛️ Architecture and space: Classical palace style × modern cultural sense
This cultural center, which covers an area of 292 square meters, has seven floors above ground and one floor underground, combines the northern palace form with the color design of southern Fujian. Vermilion columns, dragon and phoenix paintings, and golden glazed tiles form a solemn scene. The interior is equipped with elevators and central air conditioning, combining ancient style and modern functions .
• Underground floor: The large restaurant is used as a gathering space for believers on weekdays, and hundreds of tables can be set up for celebrations during festivals; it also has a shelter function .
• First floor: Exhibition window and Songjiang Pavilion, which exhibit calligraphy, pottery, photos and local stories from time to time.
• Second floor: The performance hall is equipped with professional stage and sound system, and regularly hosts performances, lectures and community activities.
🎭 Third floor to fifth floor: In-depth experience of cultural exhibitions
• Third floor Wangye Faith Museum: The only Wangye Faith Theme Museum in Taiwan, it displays models of ritual formations such as the incense-cutting ceremony, Songjiang formation, centipede formation, card class, sedan chair, and horse messenger, as well as exquisite camphor wood sculptures, recreating the lively scene of welcoming the gods. It is the best entrance to understand the "Wangye Culture".
• Fourth floor Water Margin Heroes Museum + Customs Museum: The Water Margin Heroes Museum collects Shiwan works and Liangshanpo 108 heroes Jiaozhi pottery statues, showing the spirit of helping the weak and the poor; the Customs Museum displays gold and silver paper, sacrificial utensils, and birthday supplies, allowing people to understand the cultural connotations behind the ceremony.
• Fifth floor Sanliaowan Humanities Story Museum: Focusing on local people, life, production and village memories, the community stories are systematically presented.
🌟 Cultural highlights: Wangye faith × Water Margin heroes × community stories
• The entire museum connects the venue, display and art functions of the welcoming ceremony, and is an experimental field for scientifically reproducing folk belief phenomena.
• In particular, the 108 statues of Shiwan pottery are exquisitely crafted, and the number and texture are unique in Taiwan .
• It is recommended to make an appointment for a guided tour, so that you can have a deeper understanding of Wangye culture and folk art through the tour guide's explanation ().

1. After visiting the cultural center, take a walk to Luzhugou to enjoy the sunset;
2. Then go to Beimen Lagoon and Jingzijiao Wapan Salt Field to take photos;
3. In the afternoon, you can go to the nearby Donglong Temple to experience the atmosphere of the incense-cutting procession;
4. Or go to the Black-faced Spoonbill Exhibition Hall to appreciate the natural ecology of wetland birds.
