Visiting Thermal Valley in Beitou truly felt like entering another world. As soon as I arrived, I was surrounded by thick clouds of steam rising from the glowing emerald-green hot spring—it looked like something out of a fantasy film! The scent of sulfur was strong, but instead of being unpleasant, it actually made the whole experience feel more authentic and unique.

I took my time strolling along the wooden walkways, reading about the natural features of the spring. It was amazing to learn that the water can reach up to 100°C! Although it’s far too hot for soaking, just watching the swirling mist was so calming. And of course, I had to try their must-eat hot spring egg. Soft-boiled to perfection with a creamy yolk, it was simple but delicious—and made the visit even more memorable. Highly recommended it.
