Taiwan Taipei Tourism: Here's the secret to sightseeing in Taipei!

Taiwan Conquest (Taipei Center)

📍Travel Destination: Taipei, Taiwan
🗓 Travel Days: 3 days (perfect for a weekend getaway)
💬 Language: Chinese (Traditional characters) is the basic language, but simple English is OK in tourist areas.
💰 Currency: New Taiwan Dollar (TWD)

✅ Recommended route for Taipei sightseeing spots

📍① Taipei 101
Taipei's landmark. From the observation deck (89th floor), you can see the whole city, and on a clear day, you can see all the way to the suburbs of Taipei. It's easier to book tickets for the observation deck online than to buy them on site.

📍② Longshan Temple
The most famous power spot. You can experience Taiwanese-style prayer. There are also fortune-telling slips, and many local people visit, so it is relatively quiet in the morning.

📍③ Yongkang Street & Din Tai Fung Main Branch
If you want to taste authentic Xiaolongbao, this is the place to go. Reservations are not accepted, so the trick is to line up before opening. There are many Taiwanese sweets and miscellaneous goods stores in the area, so it's also great for a stroll after a meal.

📍④ Jiufen
A retro town in the mountains that can be visited on a day trip from Taipei. The red lantern-lit stairs and the atmosphere of the old town create a fantastical landscape reminiscent of "Spirited Away." The general access is from MRT Zhongxiao Fuxing Station → Ruifang Station → bus or taxi. It gets crowded on weekends, so it's recommended to arrive in the morning.

📍⑤ Ningxia Night Market
A night market full of local atmosphere, with many B-grade gourmet foods such as pepper buns, braised pork rice, and douhua. It is a compact night market that is highly popular with locals and has a high level of satisfaction.

✈️ Airport & Transportation Information

📍Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (TPE)
The MRT Taoyuan Line (takes about 35-45 minutes) is convenient for getting to the city.

It's a bit of a walk from the arrival gate to the MRT station, so if you have large luggage, consider taking a taxi.

📍EasyCard
A transportation IC card that can be used on the MRT, buses, and convenience stores. It can be purchased at Taipei Station, the airport, and convenience stores. It is a rechargeable card with a deposit refund.

🍜 Taipei Cuisine

→Lu rou fan, pepper buns, etc. at Ningxia Night Market
