A Summer Journey Full of Passion and Heat

A midsummer trip to Taiwan under the blazing sun
Though sweat poured down, the local atmosphere and the vibrant energy unique to summer were truly captivating.

On the first afternoon, I arrived at Taoyuan Airport and took the MRT to downtown Taipei. After checking into my accommodation, I headed straight to Ximending Street. Without a moment to feel tired from the heat, I grabbed a bubble tea and explored local shops. I hopped between air-conditioned malls and cafes, escaping the heat while indulging in some shopping.

At night, I visited Ningxia Night Market. Armed with fried chicken cutlets, mango shaved ice, and cold Taiwan beer, I fully immersed myself in the summer night vibes of Taiwan.

The next day was dedicated to the "Yehliu, Shifen, Jiufen, and Jinguashi" tour. At Yehliu, I marveled at the dazzling sea and rock formations. In Shifen, I released sky lanterns under the scorching midday sun. Jinguashi offered a welcome respite with its slightly cooler air, and Jiufen left a lasting impression with its red lanterns glowing amidst an afternoon shower.

Despite the high humidity and heat, Taiwan in summer felt more intense and vivid. Portable fans, wet wipes, and sunscreen were essential, but along with the heat, I brought back passionate memories and unforgettable experiences.
