The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taipei was built in honor of former President Chiang Kai-shek of the Republic of China and was completed in 1980. The main structure features a classical design with alternating blue and white colors, highlighted by its majestic sapphire blue glazed tiles and white marble walls. It is situated in the expansive Liberty Square. The complex also includes the National Theater and National Concert Hall, making it a key cultural and artistic hub in Taipei. The hourly changing of the guard ceremony is a popular attraction, showcasing precise rifle drills. The site has since been transformed into a space commemorating democracy, frequently hosting exhibitions and events, blending historical significance with cultural vibrancy.
