Make a wish at Tokyo's Sensoji, where tradition and modernity coexist!

This time, I want to recommend a kimono rental shop located in Asakusa, Tokyo. For those renting a kimono for the first time, I highly recommend going to a shop with Chinese-speaking staff because there are many types of kimonos, and it’s much easier to communicate when choosing the kimono and hairstyle.
This kimono shop has a huge selection of kimonos. This time, I wore a houmongi kimono for JPY ¥15,000, about HKD $800. My boyfriend wore a basic men's kimono for JPY ¥5,000, about HKD $300. The price for women includes hairstyle, hair accessories, wooden clogs, bag, and props.
We also hired a photographer for 60 minutes who spoke Chinese. You get all the raw photos and a few retouched ones. For couples wanting to wear kimonos together, I highly recommend hiring a photographer who can guide poses 🥰.
They also offer makeup services, but I did my own makeup. I highly recommend everyone to visit when in Tokyo!!
📍 Address: Sei Kimono Photo Studio
🕰️ Business Hours: 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Return kimonos by 5:00 PM)
I suggest booking the earliest time possible and arriving a bit early to check out the styles to avoid most styles being taken if you come too late 😳.
