Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden

#tokyospots

Shinjuku Gyoen quickly became one of my favorite places in the city. The sheer size and variety are incredible—it’s a mix of Japanese, English, and French gardens all in one. In spring, the cherry blossoms here are absolutely stunning, with over a thousand trees painting the whole area pink. I spent hours wandering, from neatly kept lawns to tranquil ponds with koi fish. What I loved most was the peacefulness despite being so close to Shinjuku’s buzzing skyscraper district. It felt like a secret oasis where time slowed down. Definitely a must-visit if you need a break from Tokyo’s hustle.
