🎄✨ Since the organizers just announced details of this year's Christmas market, we wanted to review last year's event as a guide for those looking to enjoy Christmas in Tokyo~ 🎅🏻❄️
🎡 The Christmas market we visited was at Meiji Jingu Gaien, a large plaza near the train station, accessible from both Shibuya and Shinjuku. 🎟️ The admission fee is approximately 1,000 yen, depending on the day of your visit. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. It's open from evening until 9:30 PM. We recommend arriving early to enjoy the evening light, as it's less crowded and the evening lighting is beautiful. 🌄
🛍️ The central plaza is lined with shops selling Christmas tree decorations, glassware, and handmade items. 🍽️ Food and drink vendors line the perimeter. The food is mostly European, with sausages and French fries as a side dish. 🌭🥨 The drinks range from hot chocolate ☕️ to alcoholic drinks 🥂. Choose your favorite! (Whispering) The hot chocolate paired with churros is absolutely delicious!
🎁 Forget about the entrance! 😅 After getting your ID, you'll be greeted by a large map and a backdrop filled with award-winning Christmas wreaths 💐 for check-in photos. Each one is beautiful, cute, and unique. I'm totally in love with it! 💖💕
🌟 In conclusion... If you've never been to a Christmas market before, I highly recommend this one: < Tokyo Christmas Market at Meiji Jingu Gaien >. The venue is clean and well-organized, and the air is cool. But if you're feeling chilly, there are fireplaces at the venue! 🔥 It's a truly wintery experience! And most importantly, it's crowded but not crowded! We went on a weekday, so it was easy to walk around. The lines at shops and restaurants aren't long. I love it so much! 💝
