🌸 Wuxi is a treasure trove of tourism! Yuantouzhu is a sparkling jewel set on the earth; Lihu Lake is like a flowing, graceful ribbon; Lingshan Grand Buddha Scenic Spot is a mystical place, otherworldly and untouched by the hustle and bustle of daily life; Nanchang Street, Qingfeng Bridge, and the ancient canal are like a gentle old woman, full of stories, quietly recounting tales of bygone years… And the vast, mirror-like Taihu Lake is simply stunning! This place isn't just about beautiful natural scenery. It's also steeped in rich humanities, history, and culture. The majestic natural scenery is infused with a delicate human touch, a perfect blend of strength and gentleness.
🌸Getting there:
Take Metro Line 4 to the "Expo Center" station and transfer to Leyou Line 1 to Chongshan Gate. If driving, navigate to "Yuantouzhu Parking Lot." Arrive before 8 a.m. on weekends, or you'll have to park 3 km away.
🌸Tickets: 90 CNY for adults (including boat trip), half price for students/seniors, free for those over 70.
🌸Navigate to "Chongshan Gate" if driving. Parking is 20 CNY/day.
🌸Three recommended cherry blossom viewing spots:
1. Yuantouzhu: Located in Wuxi, this is a prime location for cherry blossom viewing. There are several viewing spots within the scenic area, such as Chongshan Yinxiu and the Cherry Blossom Pavilion, each showcasing the unique beauty of cherry blossoms. The recommended route takes you through the entire scenic area, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of the cherry blossoms.
2. JinKui Park: A great place for free cherry blossom viewing, where the blossoms complement the classical architecture, creating a unique atmosphere.
3. Duyue Road: The cherry trees lining the road form a pink tunnel, offering a romantic experience whether you're driving or cycling.
These are all excellent choices for cherry blossom viewing. Whether you prefer natural beauty or cultural experiences, you'll find your ideal spot in these locations.
🌸Yuantouzhu Cherry Blossom Viewing Itinerary:
Starting from Chongshan Gate, you'll step into a pink wonderland. Once a private garden during the Republican era, it has been transformed into a park with scenery in all four seasons. In early spring, the early-blooming cherry blossoms on both sides are a spectacular pink waterfall.
Next, head to the Cherry Blossom Pavilion, a three-story ancient-style building that serves as a "watchtower" for the Cherry Blossom Valley. From here, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire cherry blossom forest.
Changchun Bridge, known as the "internet-famous bridge" of Yuantouzhu, is lined with cherry trees that bloom in shades of pink and white. Rowing a boat across the bridge feels like traveling through a painting.
Cherry Blossom Valley is a 200,000-square-meter pink ocean, with early- and late-blooming cherry blossoms taking turns to showcase their beauty. We recommend viewing the weeping cherry blossom waterfall in front of the Cherry Blossom Viewing Tower or experiencing the healing sight of fallen petals covering the stream at Yinggu Liufang.
Finally, the China-Japan Friendship Cherry Blossom Forest is a hidden gem, perfect for taking photos with fewer crowds. In the afternoon, sunlight filters through the petals onto the wooden walkway, making you feel like you're in a Japanese movie.
