Lately, whenever I feel stressed, I just want to run into the mountains.
This time, I chose the Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area in Henan.
The moment I stood in front of the Hongshi Gorge waterfall, all my worries were washed away by the flowing water.
Bailong Waterfall and Qinglong Pool are truly a paradise on earth😍
🌟Must-visit spots:
📍Hongshi Gorge
This red sandstone canyon is absolutely stunning.
I recommend going early to avoid the crowds.
The best time for photos is between 9-11 AM.
📍Zhuyu Peak
At an altitude of 1308 meters, you can see the sea of clouds after reaching the summit.
Remember to wear comfortable sports shoes; it’s been raining lately and it’s a bit slippery.
📍Tanpu Gorge
A waterfall every three steps and a pool every five steps, the scenery along the way is breathtaking.
It’s said the negative ion content here is 200 times that of the city.
Breathing feels especially refreshing.
📍Mihou Valley
You can interact with wild macaques here.
But be sure to keep your belongings safe—they are very clever and will rummage through your bags🤣
🍴Food recommendations:
The farmhouse restaurants at the entrance of the scenic area are super authentic.
I recommend trying the local huimian noodles and Jiaozuo’s specialty, iron stick yam.
About 50 RMB per person, very satisfying.
📌Practical tips:
1. Be sure to bring an umbrella! The mountain weather is changeable.
2. Wearing non-slip hiking shoes is very important.
3. The scenic area shuttle bus is very convenient, and the ticket includes it.
4. Bring a jacket; the temperature difference between morning and evening is large.
