[Yamanashi Prefecture] Chasing Mount Fuji

Lake Yamanaka in Yamanashi Prefecture, at the foot of Mt. Fuji.

I stayed overnight in Yamanashi the day before, and took a detour while driving.

There were many foreigners there.
Mt. Fuji was covered in clouds, and although the weather was good, it was a bit disappointing.

After that, we headed to Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine.
There were many foreigners here too.
It was a long way to the top, so we had to walk a bit.
It got quite hot.
The shrine, beautiful scenery, and the five-story pagoda spread out before us, and the air was fresh, so we sat down for a bit and enjoyed the view.

This shrine is famous as a photo spot for "Mt. Fuji, the five-story pagoda, and cherry blossoms," which everyone has probably seen at least once.
There are many stairs and slopes, so it may be difficult for people with disabilities, such as wheelchair users, to visit.
We visited by car, but there was a fairly large free parking lot, and there was a traffic controller at the entrance, so we were able to enter and exit smoothly. There are also toilets.

We waited a bit, but
the clouds remained over Mt. Fuji.
After this, I'll head towards Hakone.
