Experience Blue Moon Valley After a Heavy Snowfall in March

I went to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain on March 20. Due to heavy snow and cable car maintenance, the main cable car to Glacier Park and the mid-level cable car to Yak Meadow were closed. Only the small cable car to Spruce Meadow and Blue Moon Valley were open. We went to Spruce Meadow first in the morning, and after taking the cable car down at noon, we took the shuttle bus to Water Moon Pavilion. There are several restaurants at Water Moon Pavilion, offering more choices than at the cable car station, and the prices are not very expensive. Blue Moon Valley is one of the most famous scenic spots in the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain area. Its unique natural scenery and crystal-clear lake water attract countless tourists, and it is known as the "Sapphire at the Foot of the Snow Mountain." Blue Moon Valley is mainly composed of four lakes, each with its own characteristics:
Jade Liquid Lake: The lake water is as blue as jade, reflecting the snow-capped mountains, with a wide view.
Mirror Lake: The water surface is as calm as a mirror, surrounded by dense forests, quiet and mysterious.
Blue Moon Lake: The core lake area, with the richest lake water color, is a holy place for taking photos.
Listening to the Waves Lake: Close to the Baishuitai Waterfall, the sound of the water flow is like a natural movement.
It takes one or two hours to walk through these four lakes. If you don't want to walk too much, you can buy a ticket for the Blue Moon Valley sightseeing electric car at the Spruce Meadow cable car station. There are pick-up and drop-off points at each lake.
Tickets: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain entrance ticket + shuttle bus ticket to Blue Moon Valley: 100.
Transportation: Take the No. 101 Jade Dragon Snow Mountain special line bus from Lijiang Ancient City. The journey takes 1 hour. Please note that this is a tourist bus with only seats and no standing. Although there are stops along the way for passengers to get on and off, it will not stop if it is full, so it is recommended to take the bus from the main station, Zhongyi Market. The final stop at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is Parking Lot 3. The fare is 15 yuan.
