ภูเขาหิมะมังกรหยก (Jade Dragon Snow Mountain)

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

This 5A-rated tourist attraction in China has undulating ridges resembling a flying dragon, hence its name.

The summit is covered in snow year-round.

I visited in late March, and I was anxious to see it, as it's closed on heavy snow or high winds.

I was lucky enough to be able to go up, but the sky wasn't clear. It was snowing constantly, the wind was strong, and it was very cold. Everything looked white everywhere.

I only managed to see the summit at 4,506 meters. The higher elevations were closed, and during the particularly strong winds, the cable car was closed, so we had to wait until the cable car opened before we could descend.

I recommend carrying oxygen cans and wearing warm clothing. Warm sandbags are a great help.

If I have the chance, I'd love to go back again. The cable car ride up was truly beautiful.

Location: Lijiang, Yunnan Province, China

Opening Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Park entrance fee: 100 yuan, park bus fare: 20 yuan, and cable car fare: 120 yuan.

For those wanting to see fluffy snow, December-February is recommended.
