Address - Around 10 km north of Lijiang Old Town
Highlights - Old murals, quiet streets, and a slow village vibe. There’s barely any crowd, just locals and a few travelers.

Feels like Lijiang before the tourists came. Cheap noodles, friendly people, mountain backdrop. You’ll want to linger.

Puji Temple (Puji Si)
Address - Tucked in the mountains northwest of Lijiang
Highlights - Small Tibetan Buddhist temple with very few visitors. Pine forests, prayer flags, and clean mountain air.
Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You’ll probably be alone up there. Super quiet and calming. Worth the short hike.

Wenhai Village & Wenhai Lake
Address - Higher up near Jade Dragon Snow Mountain
Highlights - Hidden alpine valley with seasonal lake views and a Naxi minority village.
Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you’re into hiking, nature, or cultural stays, this is a gem. No tourist shops — just you, the mountains, and maybe a yak.

Yuhu Village (Joseph Rock’s House)
Address - At the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain
Highlights - Home of Austrian-American explorer Joseph Rock, with a small museum and local life still happening all around.
Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Mix of history and mountain village calm. Great biking route from Shuhe or Baisha.

Qingxi Reservoir
Address - Northeast of the Old Town, hidden away
Highlights - Locals go here to chill, not tourists. Clear water, ducks, and zero noise.
Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Perfect if you need a break from all the old town buzz. Pack snacks and take it slow.
