The newly unveiled MGM Huafu Hotel at Xiangshan State Guesthouse in Zhuhai is my ideal embodiment of a perfect urban staycation.

Nestled at the foothills of the winding Phoenix Mountain range and backed by Xiangshan Lake Park, the hotel is enveloped in lush Lingnan-style gardens.
