Deliberately overcharged

By Sam B |

Went in for a late breakfast and the food seemed expensive but it's midtown. Three of us ordered and when paying for all three meals I watched the amounts being put in the till which seemed high. I sat down with the other two and we worked it out-we'd been overcharged over $20 ($65 instead of $43). After a lot of pretend misunderstanding behind the counter the manager came, re added up and agreed we'd been overcharged and blamed it on the till man not clearing the till and adding us to the previous transaction. I witnessed the amounts being put in and it was nothing to do with the previous transaction, and the kerfuffle to be refunded (took about 10 mins of discussion) was disappointing. Tourists beware!

Lovely Del!

By E M |

Excellent dishes. Tried several ones on several days, were never disappointed. Pasta, meat, veggies. Good choice of beverages. Super friendly service. Definitely a go to tipp.

Disappointed

By Melty Critic |

Upon recommendation, we decided to try 810 Deli, especially since they are celebrating a milestone anniversary this year! When we arrived we were greeted, but was then yelled at rather rudely for blocking the line as we were struggling to get past another customer refusing to move so we could get to our seat. The staff were not friendly in the slightest, no smiles, all bluster and yelling at customers. They even mocked wanting to order a full English breakfast from their menu, which I thought was ridiculous. Why mock your customers, or even have it on the menu if you resent it? The food was average. I ordered the bacon and eggs which was served with a basic hash as always. The bacon was so hard I was having to stab it with my knife to shatter it, yet the eggs were underdone to the point of being snotty. The only thing I really enjoyed was their orange juice which they served in their own little cups with their logo on. All in all, it was definitely not a pleasant experience. The staff have no patience, are rude (unless you're a regular it seems) and the food wasn't the best. If visiting, I recommend sticking to their sandwiches and desserts for takeout, sitting in seems like too much trouble.

Good Pastrami Sandwich

By Randy O |

This Deli had the little buffet in the back and sold sandwich as a deli would. I have a little hard time paying the price they wanted for a sandwich but I whip out two $20 and sat down with my sandwich which I split with my wife. Add a beer and ginger ale, we had dinner.

Overpriced small sandwich

By JaxBoca |

Overpriced for what it is, ordered a pastrami sandwich and a soda for $37. The sandwich was fine but small, was expecting much bigger for that price.

Sandwiches big enough to share

By Mike G |

We (3 of us) stopped in for lunch. I had the Rueben. It was fabulous! Typical Jewish Deli Rueben done perfectly! Service was quick. We paid at the counter and sat down with out food. The staff preparing food was good. There was a large choice of menu items. If you are in that neighborhood, I highly recommend it. One guest ordered a spinach quiche and the other a spiced turkey sandwich. Both were delicious, but too big! Plan to take half of your food home with you.

Typical New York Deli

By Stuart Howarth |

Called in here for a late night coffee & cake and had a couple of breakfasts as well. great choice of food on show.

Tasty breakfast

By Lucy C |

Lots on offer: it doesn't look like much on first impressions (and it was our first morning in New York so we had nothing to compare it to and no real clue about where to go at this point--we just needed breakfast!) but the food was of surprisingly good quality. Would have liked proper cutlery as opposed to plastic knives and forks.

I guess I'm not so hungry anymore

By Ibreakplanes |

We ordered lasagna and a gyro. Both were okay but neither was worth the price. The prices were normal for the area - just would have like better quality. Staff was decent although a little hard to understand. Would not recommend unless you are in a pinch.

Real New York for Sure!

By Mary J |

I cannot NOT recommend this place to everyone. Every image I had of a New York Deli is this one. An unimaginable variety of food and bakery along with proprietors who fit the image perfectly. If/when you get to Times Square, you must stop here...at 53rd and 7th Avenue. You will feel like you found New York!

GREAT DELI ON WAY TO THEATRE DISTRICT

By John G |

We stopped at this deli because it looked like the real deal, and it was. Great Pastrami or Corned beef on Rye. Great quality meet and the fresh rye bread was incredible. Fast service from order at counter to table. Don't miss the cheese cakes.

Fast and Good!

By Happiness4Us |

Great breakfast! We had bacon and eggs, bagels and cream cheese. Reasonable price and very fast! Close to our hotel and nice staff also - thank you!

what I'd expect for a good deli in NYC

By mjuliennow |

Although I only ate breakfast here the service was good (great once I tipped them!). Conveniently located across the street from the Sheraton Times Square.

Lunch in NYC

By RedHeels24 |

The Monte Cristo Panini was ok. Very diverse menu. Staff was friendly. Prices a little high but it is NYC.

Filling Breakfast

By Terry B |

Very good portions for the money. Food was good and hot. Service good, price reasonable. Seating hard to find at times.

Great Deli

By WSBird |

Large selection of food and beverages. Breakfast was delicious and served fast. Staff super friendly and helpful.

Excellent Jewish Deli

By Arvi G |

It’s very popular so seating is at a premium. Ordering was a little slow but it was worth waiting for. The pastrami on rye was generous and tasty. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to eating there again on my next trip to NYC

Great Food

By Chriscannock |

Used the 810 recently for Breakfast every day on our recent visit to New York City 17th-21st December 2018. The Food was very good although a bit pricey, but hey this is Man Hatton, is anywhere on Man Hatton cheap? The Fellas that work here are friendly enough, and what we ordered was what we got, no mistakes with our orders. The Food was prepared in a clean environment in a very hygienic way, gloves worn at all times when food was being handled. Would I personally recommend the 810?.....yes definition.

Great food and service

By Diana S |

If you want to find a variety of food (burgers, pasta, mashed potatoes, sandwiches, fruits, youghurt, coffee) definitely the best place to go.

Lovely fresh food.

By Matt S |

This restaurant is located in front of the Sheraton, Times Square. Ate here a few times when on holiday in NYC. Given the location, the food is incredibly well-priced, and offers great value for money. The sandwiches and subs are delicious, and the coffee is lovely. Found the owner to be such a friendly man, who always took time to talk to me. Some reviewers complain about pricing. Some of the nearby eateries, including so-called 'bars', charge double the price. If I visit again, I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Good Deli - Convenient Location - Expensive

By Douglas B |

We were in NYC for the marathon and were staying at the Sheraton across the street, so this was an easy choice for breakfast. We had an egg wrap, French toast & sausage, coffee, etc. Egg wrap was good, French toast, sausage, and coffee only ok. They had pre-made subs in the deli case that looked awesome but we didn't try them. They also have dinners. This is counter service but there are tables to sit at. I came back later in the evening and got a slice of cheesecake (dry, was hoping for better), a macaroon, 2 litre bottles of soda, and a coffee and that came to over $35! Yes, it's Manhattan but come on. They do a good business, good location next to hotels, just be prepared to pay a premium.

Rip-off expensive

By Geoffrey P |

2 eggs and smoked salmon, 1 corned beef on rye, (so stringy it was inedible) 2 coffees £42. Plastic knives and forks. Keep well away.

Great food!

By shona1980 |

We ate here twice for breakfast when staying across the road. The food and service were fantastic as was the coffee and all reasonably priced. We had omelettes and I had a sandwich one morning and it was all to a very high standard. The only thing that stopped me giving the place 5 stars is the wind that howls in every time the door opened which made your food and you get cold very quickly. But it wouldn’t stop me going back again.

Stay away

By Ren L |

Rushed Our order with nobody behind us. Charged $90 For three things. Stay away. Tourist trap. Rude staff. Quick talking scammers.

Out of date drinks - not a single care given

By CovKid1 |

Stopped by here during a trip to New York for some Cheesecake and drinks, based on looking at Tripadvisor. Hopefully our visit experience was a one off but it was terrible. 4 small pieces of cake and 3 drinks were almost $60. My wife noticed a strange “tang” to her drink and when she checked the best before date on the base of her can, it was over 12 months previous. When we raised this with the person behind the counter he wasn’t interested at all, citing that as it wasn’t dairy it was no big deal and tried to “BS” that it was the manufacture date and not the expiry one. When I showed the base of the other can that I was drinking had a July 2019 date and that this was clearly a best before date, the guy just said it won’t hurt us. Really appalling customer service and the only example in our whole 2 week trip to the USA. We didn’t have any sandwiches and these did look ok to be fair but our cakes were a little dry as if they’d been sat for a while. Can’t recommend and would just suggest you double check dates on things potentially.

Great food and reasonable prices

By josephine s |

We've been staying at the Sheraton and spotted this place across the way on our second morning, after paying over the odds the day before at a more 'famous' diner for a rather mediocre breakfast, we thought we'd give it a go. We've been back again today and intend our final visit tomorrow. Great food, reasonably priced by New York standards and fast, efficient, friendly staff. Would recommend. ( The English muffins are delicious)

Awesome lunch!

By nataliems3 |

Stopped in while waiting for our car service to the airport, based on recommendation from the Hotel bellman. Smells amazing inside, banana blueberry muffin was so sweet and delicious! We also orders 2 simple sandwiches, and they were awesome! Simple, but perfect and fast!

810 Deli

By Erin G |

Ordered here 2x while visiting Times Sq area. Matzo ball soup, spinach quiche (good portion) & breaded chicken panini all very good.

Good service

By MrsWYN-R |

We ate here on a number of occasions as it was convenient for our hotel The Manhattan. Good choice of items to buy and take out and we enjoyed a good English breakfast here one morning - honest price, filling and plenty on the plate. We did notice that the prices varied on some items purchased on a daily basis. Eg we bought chocolate covered pretzels that we ate in with a cuppa and they were $2 each, we bought a large amount to take away and they were $2.25?? Service is friendly and efficient. Don't sit near the door in the cold weather as this is a popular place and there is a freezing draft each time a customer enters and leaves. Sit with your coat on!

Tasty food

Very good food - a little pricey for a small deli, but good food. And nice big plates. They also have liquor

Great freshly made food

Right down the street from the park and a nice inexpensive meal can be had. Nice fresh sandwiches and any drinks you could want in a simple atmosphere... my #2 spot for a quick meal

Super Sandwiches and Great Service

By OnHoliday23 |

We stopped here briefly en-route from the hotel to visit the Met. We realised we had yet to sample New York cheesecake in NY, whilst on our holiday, and noticed that they referenced this dish on their window, so in we went. We had coffee, cheesecake and a lobster tail; both were good if a little rich for our breakfast choice! The Deli staff were friendly so we also decided to stop by on our way back for a sandwich. In the morning we could see these stacked in the glass counter and they looked amazing. On our return the staff were helpful in suggesting good choices. We had a pastrami sandwich and an Americano sub sandwich. We shared between four of us and the staff cut them in two and were quick to notice we needed extra plates. Both sandwiches were delicious. Even picky teenagers who don't often eat strange sounding things (pastrami) were impressed and ate everything up! A great NYC Deli.

ED/DEB @ 810 Deli.

By Ed N |

Our 1st morning in New York. We had to have breafast @ A New York Deli. Walking to Times Square we came upon 810 Deli. Great breakfast choices. A bit expensive but all fresh & tastful. You order at the counter & pick up your order at the corner. Great Deli to sit by the window, eat & people watch.

Great Deli - Good for breakfast

By aggy73 |

Ate here 3 out of our 4 days in NYC - great for a breakfast, staff nice with a great NYC attitude. Would def go back to this place

A Great Place to Experience a True New York City Deli!

By ThomasTCat |

This deli was located right across the street from our hotel, so because we were hungry and it was late, we decided to give it a try. I had a wrap and my husband had a sandwich, and they were served quickly and were excellent, and the price was very reasonable. We decided to go back for breakfast, and this time my husband got the fruit topped waffles and I got an egg white omelet - both of which were delicious and the portions were plentiful. The only problem was that on check out, the cashier accidentally put $330 on our credit card instead of $30, and he didn't know how to credit the mistake back and neither did anyone else who was working there. He said we could come back later (not that I would even consider doing that) or wait for the manager to arrive in about a half hour. We waited and waited, and after about 45 minutes, we told him he had to do something because the manager was nowhere in sight. Finally the manager got on the phone and explained how to credit the money back to our credit card to one of the employees and we were on our way. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but be sure to look at your receipt before you sign and walk out the door.

Foods ok wait wait wait.

By M P |

The food at this place it’s pretty decent, but for a place in Midtown Manhattan they can draw large crowd with the hotel across the street as well, their service is on par with Cerberus you found in the self over USA. Friendly people but slow slow slow.

Over Priced bad food deli .

By Javon B |

Don’t eat from here! Even in a emergency ! Not a genuine ny deli. Food terrible. 2 strips of lettuce on my sandwich one was wilted. I wish I took a picture before throwing it away . Avoid at all cost stick to the drinks if needed

Great Food and friendly service

Stopped off here for a light bite and was treated to possibly the best Reuben I have ever had. Portion sizes are big and great value for money.

excellent

By melaniextwo |

Great staff. Amazing food. Reasonably priced. Very close to times square. Definitely our go to in NYC.

Great selection of sandwiches

By Jan L |

We went to this deli and had a variety of sandwiches. It must be known because when we were there a TV station was interviewing the owner.

Great place

By Siōbhán M |

Great little find next to our hotel. Came for breakfast 3 days and wished we'd found it a day sooner! Cheap prices compared to other delis close by and great food!

Over priced and average food.

By Jade H |

Me and my partner came here as we were staying in a hotel near by and wanted to have a brunch here. The service was average and the food over priced. We had a toasted bagel with brisket beef as a filling each and a coffee. When it came to paying we were charged $42. We couldn't believed that a bagel each was $14. When it was served, it looked quite presentable and was served with a cup of gravy to dip the bagel in. The gravy was ok nothing special. I still thought this wasn't worth the price. This cafe would do a lot better if they dropped there prices a bit. We won't be going back, sorry.

Breakfast Place

By CoachLDFB |

Great place for a bagel sandwich. Good coffee and good servive. Loved the food. Have eaten breakfast here often and never been disappointed.

Must visit place

By Klaus_Jensen1 |

Had a really nice breakforst. Real authentic american. especially if you come from overseas. I would do it again!

Really good food!

By bhampat |

We ate here for breakfast and lunch on Thanksgiving day, with the parade viewing. Good food, fast service, and very friendly staff. They also have good bakery items. The eating area is small, and was cold when the door opened since it was so cold outside. That wind can blow!

Expensive for what you get

By ShropshireBlade |

Huge choice. Fairly miserable straight faced staff behind the deli bar. Croque Monsieur was cold in the middle. $65 for 4 sandwiches served on polystyrene plates and 4 bottles of drink, no glasses provided.

Amazing food!!

By Sparkster74 |

You have to try the bagels!! Amazing food and really fast service. Can’t fault it and you really need to try US corned beef, so much better than the UK version. Reasonably priced and well worth a visit if you’re going past!!

Hidden Gem

By ELS |

I had an incredible experience at 810 Deli and Cafe! Jerry, the owner, was incredibly personable and made us feel right at home. The food was phenomenal, we had a made-to-order breakfast that was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh and prepared perfectly. The shop itself is a treasure trove, offering everything from beer and wine to candy, baked goods, and hearty breakfast sandwiches. You could stop in for a quick bite or stock up on a variety of goodies. We found this gem thanks to a recommendation from Jimmy at the Sheraton Hotel, and we’re so glad we did. Meeting Jerry and enjoying our meal on a beautiful morning made the experience even more special. Highly recommend. The prices were in line with everything else in NYC, HIGH! But we'll definitely be back!

Authentic Italian deli and snack shops located across from Sheraton Hotel 7th Avenue

By Kathryn M |

While staying a week at the Sheraton Hotel NY Times Square this Deli served great hot meals, Hot and Cold sandwiches, beverages and snacks like nuts, crackers, and fresh Italian bakery goods!

NO SURPRISES HERE

By Fred |

The 810 Deli is a nondescript New York Deli with good food and friendly service. This is basically a place for locals. Most tourists would no be attracted to it because of its mundane appearance. For sure, it's not fancy or impressive. But the salads and sandwiched are good and just what you would expect. If you're in the area, stop in for a bite. You'll be glad you did.

Lots of places around why here?

By ManuelBK |

Awfull Coffee burn , and since the beggining the Owner start to scream to the staff so you cant even rest and drink your bad coffee at all

Good food but a bit pricey.

By BlakeSteele |

Good food.....fresh and wholesome. We enjoyed our meal here but at $86 for 4 people it seemed a bit high for “non-table service” eating. Granted it was Thanksgiving and I had the turkey plate....but another just had the lasagna, the other a veggie plate and the fourth had soup. Plus we all had bottles of water. I’d say if you just grabbed a sandwich you’d find a good value. But for a hot plate I’d either go to a sit down restaurant or find another deli. Food was good....just too much money.

Very expensive...beware we were overcharged!

By Mandy B |

On our first morning it was pouring with rain and we needed to find somewhere to buy some take out breakfast to eat at the hotel opposite. We were offered salmon and cream cheese bagels. Nice chatty staff.....when I got to the till it cost me $50 for 2 salmon and cheese and 1 bacon and cheese bagels and some juice. The bagels were $15.95 each. Just checked menu and they were advertised at $11.95....beware we were ripped off. Didn't go back but used Pret a Manger instead!! Felt disappointed as he saw us coming!

Stay clear, they target tourists

By Jim H |

We stopped here after walking past over a few days. We didn't want much, just something to take back to our hotel to have with a coffee. We settled on a cannolli each as we'd had a few from other bakeries during out time here and had got a bit of a taste for them. The stacked up shelf looked very fresh and inviting so we asked for 2 then waited as they fumbled around for a bit. 2 cannollis then appeared and we were charged just over $11. Quite a lot of money but by NY standards I guess maybe average. We got back to the hotel and after the first bite it was apparent that this wasnt the same fresh looking example that was in the display. The cream was heavy and dry and had an aged taste to it, on closer inspection it also had small cracks, a sign of sitting around for a time and drying out. The actual pastry was soggy and inedible. I'm not a fussy water by any means but was so disappointed it went into the bin, my wife's followed shortly after without even being tasted. This shop needs to be closed down, they don't deserve to have customers.

Good breakfast!

By Hokiefour |

My sons and I had breakfast here one morning. We were a little before the time they opened, so when we realized this, we started to leave to hunt another place. The guys inside had seen us peering inside, so they called out and opened early for us. Both teens had Belgian waffles which they said were wonderful. I had eggs, bacon, and toast. The gentlemen running it were very nice. It looked clean. We enjoyed it and would eat there again if we ever travel to NYC again.

Gem

By Notchopp |

Little gem of a place. Great service. Generous servings. Clean interior. We went a few times for breakfast on a family Holiday. Will return for sure.

Excellent Pastrami!

By steelerfans |

We have usually visited the more famous and larger deli restaurants in the area but we found this place of equal quality with better prices and greater convenience – highly recommended.

Great Late Night Sandwich

By mrstever1 |

I came here after 10pm and was able to get a custom made sandwich. It was fantastic and service was excellent!

Happy Aussies in New York

By Elleanor B |

We visited this place as our hotel was right next door, I had pre-sussed out the menu and was planning on ordering pancakes or French toast for lunch, when the chef asked if we'd like to sample the brisket. It was mouthwatering and we never looked back. Staff were friendly, plenty of food options, great location and open until 2am. We found the prices a little expensive considering you are eating off of a plastic plate with plastic cutlery, however it is comparable to other New York eats price wise so we weren't complaining.

Best Bagel Sandwich in NYC !!

By johnnyfrank66 |

Great breakfast bagel sandwiches ever !! Just ate there this morning with family !! Excellent. And reasonably priced !!!!

Great for breakfast

By Debbie R |

We had a bite to eat here and it was great. Very clean yummy food good service. Located not far from Times Square. Always busy but worth the wait

Rip Off Merchants

By muja62 |

First time we went they overcharged must have known we were tourists bought $20 worth of goods and they changed us US $40. We thought perhaps they made a mistake, went back the next night for the roasts which we found out later have sat in the warmer for a couple of days and they had to reheat in the microwave, we were told $14.95 each we bought two and got slugged $39.00 at checkout when I complained he would not listen. Then watched him serve another customer and she also questioned the bill and he just mumbled something as he did with us. Do not go there!,m

Great food to go and great friendly staff

By Gwespyr |

We were staying very close to this deli so being in NYC we wanted to sample the delights of one their famous delis of the city. I must admit to being a little apprehensive given the stereotype of a New Yorker being given to being brash and rather rude ...... I needn't have worried! Having been totally overwhelmed by the range of ingredients, the staff were very helpful and made constructive suggestions with the result that we left with bulging sandwiches that were delicious! In fact, we were so impressed by the quality of the food and the great service we went back three more times! Not on the same day I hasten to add! We also had breakfast there as well and we found that to be just as good.

Great service

By tigger2594 |

Came in here on spec to get some bagels and was given fantastic service. Needed to take my order back to hotel and it was all packaged up which made the transport so much easier. Tables to eat in and restrooms.

Breakdast

By Journey man |

Stayed at Sheraton and This café was just beside the hotel and i decided to take a breakfast there , ok place in NY there are so many other places but ok IT was early morning and raining so not in the best mood

The best place to eat....Deli to help my belly..

By Bak A |

My family is so fussy, but these guys sell everything. All day breakfast, Chinese food, pasta, cakes everything cooked really well. A place to eat or take away to the hotel... So friendly and happy.. love it...

Overpriced and unfriendly

By Susan B |

My husband and I stopped in the deli to grab sandwiches. They were not friendly at all and it was $24 for two sandwiches. The bathroom is disgusting.

Tasteless breakfast in an unpleasant environment

By Mark R |

After a few days in NYC we knew just how crazy the cost cost of food was. Having passed this place a few times, we noted that the prices here were a little lower than everywhere else in the immediate midtown area. For our last day we decided to chance a breakfast and ordered at the til. At no point was the guy behind the til in anyway friendly or vaguely co-operative. The rest of the staff shouted at each other behind the counter making for a rather uneasy vibe. We sat down and soaked in our atmosphere-less mistake whilst waiting for the food. Seems the food was ‘cooked’ immediately and was sat at the till area for us to retrieve. No-one told us it was ready and they sure as hell weren’t going to demean themselves by prompting us or, heaven forbid, bring it over to us (it was very quiet in there with few people sat down). After grabbing the bendy paper plates with unappetizing food plopped on top, we sat down. You could just tell the food wasn’t going to be great. It looked dry and reheated rather than freshly cooked. The speed at which it had been prepared would back this up. Sipped my coffee which was literally tasteless. No body to it whatsoever. Didn’t touch it again. The breakfast potatoes were unseasoned, reheated and disappointing. The bacon was dry and without any of the usual bacon flavor. First time I’ve had baconless- bacon. My son had sausages which he cut and I could immediately see were of very poor quality. Even he turned his nose up and he will eat almost any sausages. Scrambled egg was more a rubbery omelette. Nothing here was good. For 4 people we paid $77. Wasted money. I don’t know if the deli counter is any better but I cannot recommend the breakfast. We ended up eating again shortly after somewhere else. Easily the worst food during our 5 day stay.

Great NYC deli experience

By Baca-Osborne |

First stop in NYC ... set us up for a great NYC experience. Great late night sandwiches. David was great and gave us NYC service (short directness ... “just tell me what you want” ... with friendliness all in NewYork style)! Great lamb gyro, BLT, and pastrami sandwich. Only problem ... we were not here long enough to return.

Great Breakfast

By David M |

We stayed across the road at the Sheraton and had breakfast here a couple of times the service was great and very friendly I never saw anything about a minimum charge as mentioned in in previous reviews. Would recommend the hash and the sandwiches looked fantastic not the cheapest but great place

A solid and safe choice for a decent breakfast

By Jokerman |

Came here for a decent, larger last day breakfast before moving on and it delivered just that. We all chose omelette, of which there was a large choice, though, if the truth be told, you could have had any desired combination of the wide range of fillings on offer. Service was warm and friendly, we had soft drinks and ate in the seating area. Food arrived accompanied by potatoes, which I wasn't expecting, all tasted good. A solid and safe choice. Looking around, there was a much wider choice, but we weren't tempted.

Very Good Food And Service

By Amorak66 |

We were staying at the Sheraton across the street, and the restaurant opened and closed at untimely hours- so we went to the 810 Deli: Very good tasting food, good price and we even phoned in a take out order once and it was really quick, friendly service and they enclosed napkins, utensils, condiments int he bag: We will eat there again when we visit NYC :

What! $70dollars!

By elizabeth d |

The food is very good no doubt! To eat what I want 😋 I have to pay. Charge it! *Italian Supreme w/half pickle included *Chicken Rice Soup *Custom Salad *3 non alcoholic beverages *Cake slice *Banana *M&M candies *Chips

Don't come here!

By Carolina G |

Cashier rude man. Extremely expensive for distasteful sweets, coffee and ambience. Others also were complaining about quality. 0 stars!

What a gem

By cas65 |

Stumbled on this place, late one night on the last trip to NYC 5 years. Went back to it on this trip and it is worth it. To me it is what an American diner would be like (for an Australian). The staff friendly and entertaining. We ordered 2 burgers. As the cook was bringing to the counter he dropped mine. It was entertaining to watch the events unfold. I couldn’t be upset about it. They apologized and soon the freshly cooked meal was out with more apologies. The food is great and plentiful and reasonably priced. The fries are excellent.

Never again

By sallymharwood |

I would not recommend eating here. We found the staff rude and unhelpful. You have to order your food at one end and pay at the other end. How any staff member knows what you have ordered is a mystery. You cannot use the toilet unless you order something, this also applies to young children. When we were there a mother asked if she could take her two year old child to use the toilet before ordering and was told no by the staff as she would have to order first. As a party of mothers we found this attitude appalling. Needless to say we never returned.

Brilliant Food and service

By Kevin M |

My wife and I went to New York for my 65th Birthday staying at The Sheraton Timeds Square on 7th Avenue. We were directed to the 8-10 by one of the Shereaton door staff who said that the 8-10 was Value for money and wholesome good food, everything from bagels to eggs,French toast ,bacon and potatoes for breakfast.plus pancakes if wanted.Briiliant coffee, and value for money .under 30$ for two of us. I also throughly recomend the cheesecake . The staff are superb really friendly to strangers ie tourists, helpful,a credit to The Big Apple. We are looking forward to returning to The Big Apple and our friends at the 8-10 diner

Delius Breakfast

It's not directly the american breakfast place that you see in the movies, but it's absolutely a very good option. The breakfast options was healthy, big and jummi!

Best food

OMG I was here in November last and I’m back here today 24th May 2018 and still a brilliant place to eat. Thanks.

Food so tasty

By Thazel1991 |

We decided to visit here for food as it was right across from our hotel and we were super tired one night and needed somewhere close to take food out. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and my brother ordered the Ruben I think it’s called. It really did not disappoint. You get so much food for your money and it was so so tasty. Just thinking about it now is making me want to go back to New York to get this again. The staff were friendly and it seemed nice and clean. Lots of different food to choose from on the menu, including cakes. Would definitely recommend.

Overcharged for average food

Think they saw us coming here. Read the reviews, if you’re a tourist go elsewhere. Average food and overcharged.

Amazing classic NY deli

Highly recommended. The Reuben and brisket sandwiches were fantastic. Classic New York deli style done right. Fast, friendly service. Reasonable prices. I highly recommend this deli.

Ringing in the New Year with Poor Customer Service

By pvf_10 |

Our family of 4 stumbled onto this Deli and Cafe shop on New Years Eve, in order to grab a quick meal. The selection of food was adequate but the service was inexcusable. To start off, the price board had been updated with price surcharges written on post-it notes. A hand-made sign announced that customers had to spend $25 per person, in order to be able to sit at one of the tables. Our quick meal was not cheap - $115 for 4! As we were assigned a table by the owner, we noted that customers with less than 4 per group, were grouped together. I was saddened to see an airline pilot enter, accompanied by his spouse. He was in uniform and she in a long gown, both soaked to the bone due to the pouring rain outside. The owner was first refusing to seat them; but changed his mind when he saw that they had purchased a wine bottle to go with their meal. But - they were made to share a table. The worst experience - after eating and drinking, many customers, my family included asked to use the bathroom. The owner refused to unlock the bathroom, citing that "it was broken". When I asked one of the other staff to use the bathroom in Spanish, he hesitated and said he had to ask the owner first. Of course, my request was denied. The owner of this establishment should be held accountable by the Tourism Board of NYC.

Late night at 810 deli

By farzad T |

What a rude server. Waste of money. The cakes have been sitting there fir days. When told the server the cake was old and wanted to switch it to one from the front, they said you can not choose. Too bad I paid cash; otherwise I would have put stop payment on the card.

Great Reuben and philly

By Viki7960437 |

Was planning on eating at Stardust but there was a huge line and it was cold. Ran across this deli by chance and so happy we did. Friendly staff and phenomenal Reuben! The philly was good too!

Great spot if you’re nearby

By Brandon |

Quality bacon egg and cheese. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. You won’t regret it. Always stop when I’m in the area.

Amazing Deli

Amazing food and amazing service! Just lovely people all around. Highly recommend enjoying anything they serve.

Rude member of staff !

By Stacey F |

Big fat zero.!! Rudest member of staff I’ve ever had the displeasure of being spoken to by! !!! Honestly don’t bother… everything seemed to be a problem even paying !

Good Breakfast

By Stephough |

We stayed just across the road at the Sheraton and found ourselves here for breakfast 3 times during our trip so that must say something. Service is speedy, although my breakfast was forgotten on 2 occasions however when asked they were quick to bring it out and apologetic. Reasonable prices for tasty food. There are tables to sit and it was always busy whilst we were there, again a good sign! The plates and cutlery are both disposable and whilst the plates are ok the cutlery could be better. My fav from the week was the pancakes and I asked for fruit too, delicious!

Great food & reasonable prices

By Karin F |

We only discovered how great this place was on our last day. Great breakfast & lunch options. Friendly staff and reasonable prices i highly recommend

Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch

By Forest S |

Okay, so it's another New York Deli! New York is filled with them. It would be a shame to spend our time in a hotel restaurant and we were excited about getting out to the street to explore. We needed a hearty breakfast, served up quickly and preferably with outstanding taste. We got all of those components. We chose their specials which we hoped were listed because they were excellent and not just because that is what the chef decided on for the day and of course, coffee, dark, rich and full-bodied. There are those coffee specialty places who cannot compete with this coffee and price. Our second morning we decided to go back again and found some of the regulars who go daily and the line chef even noted our return. It was enjoyable and filling. We would return there anytime!

Across the street from the Sheraton

I went to the 810 for convenience. After having a delicious breakfast there, I made sure to go back two additional times. It was a wonderful breakfast at a reasonable price.

Deli

By Amaury A |

Dont come to this deli !! It’s terrible the chicken is always burned Please dont come ya will regret it

Loved this place

By roj1281 |

This deli was right in front of our hotel. We tried it for breakfast one day and stopped here so many times over our week long stay. Great food, quick service, and open early. I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed.

Lovely Ruben

By JonnyFatboy |

Great food but like all things NY don’t expect to pay what’s on the display. Add the 20% tip (which is already added for your convenience…..) add the tax and then add a charge for using the credit card and then you get to see how much you pay. My Ruben Sandwich cost around £30. It was delicious, filling and fully loaded but no fries.

great pastries

By GrammaMiMi |

We stopped by twice for pastries, but were very impressed by the meal options and grab & go choices. It is clean, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The hours are perfect for early morning or late night.

It was fine.

By Folsstl |

It was good but nothing special. Good place to grab a chicken cutlet sandwich. It did not have enough marina sauce on it. but it was fine

Great Food

By rickeysouth |

We ordered from Uber Eats late night. The pastrami Ruben was excellent, as well as the turkey club. Also very good matzo ball soup. Way better than trying to get into Katz!

My favourite place to eat

By Joe S |

I cannot stress how much I liked eating from this restaurant. The staff are friendly and I always have a laugh with them. There is a massive selection of food. I have tried most of them from burgers to my personal favourite "Philly cheese steak baguette" I was staying at the Sheraton across the road and ate from this deli most evenings, not just for the convenience but because of how amazing the food tastes. If I had any doubt on what I would order, the guys behind the counter would give me free samples of the meats to help make my mind up. There's a fantastic selection of deserts too, great place to get canollis outside of little Italy. Price is fair especially as where it's based, I would spend $40 on two massive Philly cheese steaks sticks, chips, onion rings, a bottle of wine and 6 pack of bud lights. Really worth going to folks, alot of locals eat here so that's a good sign!

Good sandwiches and fast service

By gmore_2017 |

Across the street from the Sheraton and have wonderful sandwiches and tasty. You can eat in or take out. If you take out you goodies, they are wrapped, so they are the proper temperature when you arrive at your destination. Ordered a turkey Ruben and a chicken panini and both very good and good flavor. The cheese cake is good as well!

BEST DELI/CAFE!!!!

By Lachy |

This place served me food that wasn’t on the menu!!!!! Very quick delivery!! Very good food tastes super epic

This Deli Has Great Food

By Shiniesthalo |

We stopped here for a quick supper before a show. The people are super friendly, efficient and entertaining as they prepare your food. The portions were generous and delicious! I would recommend eating here.

100 mile an hour chef

By Annette293 |

We ate breakfast here 3 days in a row, could not believe the extent of the menu, everything you could think of and good coffee, I had read good reviews and it did not disappoint , the staff were friendly and very efficient, definitely worth eating here.

Great food

By Andywhite01 |

Great food at a fraction of the cost of the Sheraton 😂 the Sheraton was a great hotel with a great location but I’m not paying $35 for a fry up These guys at 810 looked after us great every morning 👍🏽 A great place with plenty of choice

Lovely

By Konni A |

We were starving and stopped into 810 for something quick. I was literally blown away by how friendly the staff was, and by how amazing the food was! If you’re in the area stop by and see Andrew and crew- you will NOT be disappointed! Oh, and try the Greek Salad, it’s literally to die for!

DISGUST!

By matteoz z |

Too bad there's no revenue agency here. These should be locked up in prison. I know that prices in Manhattan are high but here there was a scam the size of a house! We bought two Heinekens, a one-litre bottle of water, a small Pepsi, a sandwich without very salty cheese (15 minutes to make it because the ones on display all had cheese) and one with mozzarella. Well. $53 and it doesn't end there! Because on the receipt (fake and I'll put a photo below) it shows $55!!!!

Great Food

By Wetsch |

We recently visited NYC and ate breakfast at the 810 Deli twice. Both times the food was excellent, made fresh, served fast, and very reasonable. I would recommend this little joint to anyone for any meal!

Excellent location, friendly staff, wide choice of different types of food, fair pricing

By rttraveller88 |

The location of the deli is excellent, the staff are cheerful and they can prepare all kinds of meals even if it’s a little outside the menu. The menu is already extensive. The prices are excellent. I really fun and pleasurable place to eat.

After the Parade.

By Lisa H |

Went for a sandwich stayed for the macaroons. So delicious. Great desserts. Best pumpkin pie ever, including my own. Reasonably priced, for New York City.

Delicious!

By Becky G |

This place is easily missed because it doesn't have big flashing signs outside. We spotted it because we saw lots of people dressed in suits popping in for their lunch break. It is a really great deli. The staff are friendly and they have a lot of choice of different freshly made foods. You can get sandwiches and salads, pastas, burgers and desserts. We opted for the Americano and Foccacia subs. They were toasted for us and brought to our table. Both subs were packed full of filling and were really delicious warmed up (especially on a cold day). Definitely recommend this spot! It's where the locals go for lunch and it is easy to see why!

Yummy!

By Tammy H |

We were visiting NYC. We wanted to bring our sons to Ellen stardust but their was more than an hour wait at 7:30 pm. So we wandered down 7th Ave. and happened upon this deli. Excellent service. The Boys has a BLT sandwich, hamburger (no fries) and I had eggplant parmigiana hero. Delicious. All the food was excellent. However, they didn’t give out receipts and speak broken English. So the 2 families we were with felt they were over charged and the men behind counter acted like they had no idea what they were trying to say to them. On another nite, a lady came in just as my friend was getting her food and started to choke on her water which she ended up spitting all over my friends plate!! The woman turned around & walked out!!! But the men did make her a new plate of food. So that was appreciated.

Great way to start a busy day

By Poshjojo10 |

Stayed at manhattan times square used this every morning for breakfast as it was so good and just across the road (head towards central park ) Chap making up breakfast remembered exactly what we wanted each morning. food and service was great and very friendly would definatley recommend .

Beware!

By Brian M |

A pity I didn't read Trip Advisor reviews on this place before visiting to read about the over charging! I think it happened to us too but without noticing as we were tired after a long journey. It shows the value of Trip Advisor.

Deli very nice

By f a |

A deli on 7th Avenue, between Times Square and Central Park. Adopted to palliate the pseudo Breakfast of the Inn. Order at the counter, and table service, a few tables in front of the window. Casual and multilingual service (English, Italian ..). Breakfast omelette, eggs in the flat, French bread... Also pastrami. 40€ for 2 at Breakfast (a plate of omelette type and coffee or tea).

Luke

By Luke W |

Terrible, greasy, rude staff and ABSOLUTE RIP OFF. $20 for 3 cokes. DO NOT GO HERE. Asked for a refund and refused. Would have smashed the place up if if the cops weren’t outside

Good for a Quick Stop

By PaleoGypsy |

If all you want is a bottled drink and a sandwich, stop here. There is casual seating. The prices are fair. I did not see a public bathroom. This place is in a good spot and is useful if all you want is light fare or a snack.

great food, great value

By quinn281 |

We visited this place for cake and a drink after a long day to try it out as it was near our hotel. The Strawberry cheesecake was delicious. We went back for something to eat as we didn’t know what we wanted. My wife opted for a toasted turkey sandwich and I had meatballs. Both were lovely and and the prices will not break the bank! I would happily recommend this deli to anyone.

The Concierge at the Sheraton DID NOT mention this GREAT PLACE

By David S |

When I asked the concierge where I could buy a decent bottle of wine he suggested Duane Reed. They sell Wine Beverage, whatever that is. I asked about nearby cafes, he recommended other places. I discovered this little gem the LAST NIGHT I WAS there...great selection, great bakery, breakfast available and a great selection of WINE!!! Hooray, it's open late if not 24 hours, and I love the food. I should have known the concierge was a dork, I hope the owners at this great place go and make themselves known at the concierge desk.

Breakfast

By Loulou372 |

Little gem of a place where there are plenty of options to choose from at reasonable prices. We visited for breakfast and everything was cooked fresh to order and reall good quality. We choose the pancakes and French toast along with fresh orange and coffee. The place was constantly busy which is always a good sign. If you don't mind good on a disposable plate then this place is for you.

Great breakfast with characters

By Szepat |

Very family friendly and local type of cafe. They can make any way you want for your breakfast. They have characters. Totally local New Yorker in the neighborhood.

Breakfasr

By lesley b |

We stayed across the road and had breakfast everyday. Brilliant, friendly staff, great food, loved it

Great service! Super deli !

By BWinKW |

Loved the service, food and prices at this deli. The friendly staff will make your food to order. They chat with you while you wait. Steady flow of customers. There is space to be seated and enjoy your food there, or take away if you prefer. Good coffee!

Pastrami and Cheesecake

By Raeanne1982 |

We found ourselves here after a hunt for pastrami. We got a pastrami sandwich and slice of cheesecake and both were very good! Right off of Times Square. Don't let the facade scare you off, it was very good!

They have all you need

By Jarosław T |

This deli is always open and offers everything you need. Variety of food, soda, water and drinks. They also prepare burgers and hot sandwiches (I recommend Philly Cheese Steak).

Nice Place for a Quick Breakfast

By SVC1970 |

We stayed at the Sheraton New York Times Square just across the street from the 810 Deli. It was a great place to get breakfast. While not cheap in the absolute, it was relatively inexpensive compared to other options in the area. Plus, all members of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely had a NYC feel. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want a quick meal for breakfast or lunch. I wish we had discovered it earlier.

Authentic NY Deli

By Kristine B |

My friends and I cancelled our dinner plans and decided to try 810 Deli, since we had walked by it earlier in the day and I noticed they had a “gluten free” sign in their window (I have a gluten allergy). We were so glad we did! The gentlemen behind the counter were adorably funny and extremely nice to me when I asked about the gluten free options. They made me a delicious pastrami sandwich on gluten free bread. The sandwich came with coleslaw, and I added a gluten free NY cheesecake. The eating area was very clean, with an employee sweeping and pushing in chairs while we were there. My only criticism was the price - prices are rather high, but considering it’s just outside Times Square and gluten free food is usually pricy anyway, I’d still happily go back.

Delivery

By TaylorMarie M |

I always order food here for lunch, delivery is prompt. The French toast and chocolate chip pancakes are delicious! The chicken noodle soup is a favorite on a cold day. The only issue I ever had was I ordered a sandwich and lettuce was extremely wilted. The restaurant fixed the issue and replaced the sandwich.

What a Variety!

By dieterhk2015 |

You name it - they have it! Sandwiches, yummy desserts, all kinds of delicacies. Friendly atmosphere and lots of repeat customers. Won't leave here without a bag of goodies. We went to our hotel room and had a feast!

Killer food & options

By Jlawww14 |

We ordered the signature focaccia & signature baguette special which were both amazing. The prosciutto was just the right level of saltiness, pesto wasn’t overpowering, the dressing on the baguette special was delicious, the bread on both was incredible in flavor & texture, & the mozzarella & Brie were so fresh. We also ordered a latte & cappuccino which were both good, coffee beans weren’t burnt, it was very smooth. For dessert they have a great selection but we went with the chocolate almond horn which was to die for. A hole in the wall worth grabbing a bite at for sure!

Nice little deli, surprised us with options

By George R |

The food here was great. My partner and I both had the Chicken Parmesan deli sandwich which was toasted and really flavoursome. Main issue is seating area could get quite cramped on a busy day, but when we went it was absolutely fine. Ordering system was okay but some lost communication with some customers meant not getting two sandwiches but only one. Easily sorted though. Was a nice little surprise food place.

Dirty and Aweful

By KurtLS |

I was totally shocked on how disgustingly dirty this deli was. I ordered a corned beef sandwich and it was half fat. Tables were ALL dirty and we were the only ones in there. We cleaned our own table and ate. Someone finally came around and pushed chairs in but made no effort to clean the tables and chairs. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

Great sandwich

By GYNinSTL |

Our hotel was close to this location so we visited here at least once a day for drinks or black & white cookies. We decided to eat lunch one day as well. We order a few of the premade italian sandwiches in the case. Once they were prepared for us them came out toasted. The quality of the toasted bread and ingredients came together perfectly. It was one the best sandwiches I have ever had. The deli is a little pricey but everything in NY is. I highly recommend the Mortadella and Prosciutto sandwich!

great bagel sandwich for breakfast

By daxiong1 |

would rather pay for this than get the free breakfast at hotel. It is fast, fresh and clean. They handle special requests, and the food was delicious

Very good

By Alberto Gómez |

Very delicious food and very good service, fast, friendly but not cheap. Which is understandable, because when it comes to American breakfast it is very good. The location is quite good, because it is in Times Square. Cleaning very well done.

Best pastrami ever

By lovesbabies |

It’s a great place to step in a grab something before a 2pm show. Friendly fast service . Cold and hot choices with comfortable seating. Best sandwich I ever had!

good service a little over priced

By JLRendon |

the service is good and the food is regular nothing out of ordinary or great, price are a little expensive

High price

By Giuseppe |

The portions are generous but nothing compared to the bill. I understand that we are a few steps from Times Square but perhaps this is exaggerated. Also because the place is modest.

Good spot for a family to eat

By TravelLovers1234 |

This was a clean deli and market store that has something for everyone in the family. We got food to to eat and some snack for the morning. The drinks for coffee and teas were nice as it was very hot so we all wanted iced coffees.

Awesome deli

By CarlosGMF |

Has a oven-roasted turkey sandwich. It was awesome. Will go back to try other sandwiches. And it is next door to my hotel. Awesome.

Great way to start the day!

By Sam B |

Great way to start your day with lots of options of food available as well as allergen options available. With cheap expense compared to the rest of New York you get lovely food and kind, helpful staff. A place worth a visit for breakfast!

No good bacon.

By Sheri E |

Craving a good NY deli experience but close to my hotel. The bacon was a huge disappointment. Dry and tasteless. I’ve never had tasteless bacon before! Eggs and toast were good.

Breakfast

By MPH N |

Excellent Taste, Environment & Behaviour of Staffs. Will Come Again for Breakfast. The Egg Omlet was Perfectly Cooked. The Orange Juice was Fresh.

Overpriced food with plastic plates and cutlery.

By 254451 |

For the prices they charge you’d at least expect proper plates and cutlery. The food is hit and miss. We ate here a few times, the first breakfast of eggs, bacon, fries and toast was very tasty but the warm pastrami sandwich was disgusting, all fat. They put the prices up temporarily for new year with post it notes over the real prices. There’s an artic blast every time anyone opens the door.

TOURISTS BEWARE - TRULY SHOCKING EXPERIENCE

By dpegs1 |

SHOULD BE MINUS STARS - TOURISTS BEWARE & AVOID AT ALL COSTS - myself & my family ate here on our first day in New York on holiday. We stayed at the Sheraton Hotel opposite. The operators of this shocking establishment clearly target tourists and attempt to rip them off. Upon arrival, we were greeted enthusiastically by one of their chefs who offered us a meat to try without telling us anything else other than it was delicious - and there is no doubting that this sample was delicious. After a 10 minute wait - they provided us with 4 sandwiches (bread with the meat in - nothing else) - the meat was completely different to the sample - tough, fatty & heavily spiced. We were so hungry we ate what we could and decided to complain before leaving. The guy in charge of their till said that the bill for all 4 sandwiches was 68 dollars !!!! We refused to pay and asked to see the manager - in the time it took to get someone out who claimed to be a supervisor - the staff had hurriedly thrown all of our leftovers away. In the end, I paid 30 dollars solely due to the intimidating nature of the staff. Whilst I appreciate that they may possibly provide reasonable food & pricing to their regulars - I strongly urge any visitors to New York to steer well clear of 810 Deli.

Great food options

By 287Loges |

Frequented here for breakfast and lunch while staying across the road at the Sheraton. Quite a busy cafe. Blueberry pancakes for breakfast were good and plenty of variety to choose from for both breakfast and lunch.

Great Little Restaurant!

By Greg H |

This great little place was almost next door to our hotel, which is how we found it. It was so good that it became our breakfast place for all four days that we were in NYC. Food portions were large and very tasty. Great variety. They serve breakfast all day and the cook says “just tell me what you want…”. The staff was very friendly - always nice to be greeted by a few smiling faces first thing in the morning. While we only ate breakfast there, they have a large selection of foods for all meals - including for late night snacks. Prices, I thought, were very reasonable - especially in comparison to some of the other places we checked out. If you are in the Times Square area and hungry, check this place out. You will be very glad you did.

RIDICULOUS OVERPRICE!

By jose j |

Keep away from this tourist trap! Everything is RIDICULOUS OVERPRICE! There are a lot of good places around there! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid this place!

Great alternative

By pocahauntis |

If you want a good ol’ fashioned breakfast instead of standing in line at the Sheraton (yet again) for a huge buffet that you really don’t want, hop across the street to the 810 Deli. They have a great selection of breakfasts, sandwiches, bagels and muffins, and more. Friendly staff and quick. Omelette was very good.

Wonderful coffee and muffins

By Anke H |

We enjoyed a coffe, and an almond poppyseed muffin. It tasted excellent end the price was very reasonable. We stayed quite long because of the rain. Good venue!

Fast and friendly

By lkenn1410 |

This is across the street from the Sheraton in NYC, so it was very convenient for us. We had a great breakfast one day, a quick dinner one night and snacks another time. Excellent homemade ice tea!

Great place for a meal

By Grandmaat40 |

Stayed at the Sheraton across the street. Love the breakfast and all the choices you offer. Drooled over the dessert options. Definitely recommend

Cheap Breakfast for NYC

By Lee G |

If you are staying on 7th Avenue, this is an inexpensive alternative for a simple breakfast... but it's still more pricey than bacon and eggs would cost in the real world (outside of a NYC tourist neighborhood).

Good food but a bit more expensive than others

By Mark |

Food was good here, had breakfast one morning whilst on holiday. Was a little more expensive than other similar places though.

Deli with wide range of sandwiches and cheesecake on 7th Avenue

By fidgetykingfisher |

We called into here for a lunch to take to Central Park. We had 2 toasted sandwiches which were filling and tasty, we also had a slice of New York Cheesecake and a Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake - both of which were amazing, washed down by 2 bottles of water. We did not try any other deli's on 7th Ave so we have nothing to compare the price of our lunch to but it was $48 which we thought was expensive. There were tables in here so you could sit in to eat - not sure whether this would cost any more.

Nice Deli

By MadMike96 |

Ate at this Deli twice. Nice Italian deli but also has corned beef, pastrami, brisket, etc. The apparent owner, a very nice Italian fellow, really want you to enjoy your food and strives to make sure you get what you want. All the staff was very nice. We enjoyed out meals, but Italian sandwiches and brisket and pastrami, etc.

Extremely rude staff, disgusting and overpriced food

By evelyneb720 |

I ordered a cheeseburger. I was given a burned patty with no dressing and no cheese. I was charged $20 and was told lettuce and tomatoes are an extra dollar each! Really??? The cheeseburger comes with coleslaw, which I was not given. The staff was extremely rude when I asked for the coleslaw and told me to f.... off... Really??? I have never felt so disrespected. The cheeseburger ended up in the trash. It was inedible. Nice way to treat customers!

A good deli

By sfdann |

It is fresh, it is fast and it is a little expensive but when you need Deli food, this place will do well. Not sure what all of the shouting and anxiety was between the guys behind the counter. I thought someone had died, but it was probably just a misunderstanding about the time the pastrami was arriving. All part of the NYC experience.

Good Pastrami

By Paul D |

It's not the Carnegie but the Pastrami was hot and juicy. Their breakfast sandwiches are also fresh and good. Attitudes can be a little short. Service was otherwise efficient.

Well it's a deli

By Manusha2012 |

It was 2 minutes from Hotel Manhattan where w are staying so perfect. At 12 noon for a brunch we enjoyed the sandwiches and fries. As veggies we got what we wanted. No complaints

Unsatisfied

By Tina H |

My husband has Celiac Disease, he has to be Gluten Free for health reasons. Because of his illness I emailed the 810 Deli and explained his illness. They confirmed that they had Gluten Free Sandwiches, I wanted him to have the corned beef sandwich. When we got to the restaurant they said they did not have any Gluten Free Bread or Buns. So he did not get to have the cornedbeef. I was upset because we only came to that Deli so he could have that then they did not have a Gluten FREE OPTION. THIS was not very nice because we were visiting New York and our time was limited. Please choose another Deli I myself did get the corned beef sandwich on rye and it was not that good. 😕

Good breakfast, snacks, and coffee quick

By Nic G |

Great selection and great food made to order on the fly. Forget the bad reviews. I made this deli morning stop for the 5 days I stayed in NYC, and it didn’t disappoint. The staff work hard and are busy, but they were always friendly to me because I treated them like humans. I’ll be back next time I’m in the area.

Great place!

By Sue S |

We visited 810 deli for breakfast three times on our New York stay. The menu was wide ranging & freshly cooked to order. Friendly staff, great food & drinks. Totally recommend
