My absolute favorite KBBQ spot on both the west and east coast!! They have the best, flavorful cuts of meat and super tasty banchan! It's really pretty inside and out. The staff are very lovely and welcoming. I will 1000% be visiting whenever I am in NYC + sure to bring friends~ [ fun fact for STAY - SKZ filmed here :) ]

Best korean bbq in nyc!!! I LOVE this place and try to come every time in town. It was a very solid 10/10. The food and service were outstanding!!!

It was very delicious, and I’ll definitely be back. The interior was beautifully designed, and the staff were friendly as well. Since I read Korean, I had no trouble with the menu, but I noticed that for people who aren't very familiar with gopchang or Korean BBQ, it might be helpful to have pictures of the different meat cuts. The banchan (side dishes) were tasty, the meat was delicious, and the fried rice at the end was also incredibly good!

I have had lots of KBBQ, and this is the best in all of NYC! The marinated short rib is to die for. Could not recommend this place enough!!!

Came here for a friend's birthday dinner on a Saturday with a 6:30 reservation for 5 people. When you walk in, there is no hostess to greet you. So two of us walked upstairs thinking that's where the hostess was. That's when they told us to go back downstairs to check in. We were seated promptly, and everything came out quickly. We ordered the Seafood Pancake, Japchae, Sweet Corn Plate, Ahgassi Combo of Beef and Pork (brisket, pork belly, pork jowl, and marinated short rib). Everything was really good - I don't really have any complaints. They cook the meat for you, and change the grill often, ensuring that the meats don't become grisly. The banchan dishes were great too (especially the tofu). Though I feel like they could have been more attentive in re-filling them. It took us a while to flag down anyone each time we wanted more of something. Overall, still a good KBBQ experience.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant!!! Food was superb, and as for the service it was second to none! Huge thanks to the lovely Yoyo who served and cooked our food for us!! Highly recommend and very reasonably priced.

Looks very new. They renovated this restaurant in February 2024. As you walk into it, the place feels different from other Korean BBQ restaurants. The vents are above each stove on each table. They are very efficient, no lingering smell. Very fast and efficient service. The waiters cook meets for you in front of you. We were very pleased with the expense today. In the highly competitive Korean town, this place stands out. We recommend this place.

The best Korean BBQ in NYC! We order a large beef combo (10/10). It was amazing! Will be back for their pork combo next time :)

Ahgassi Gopchang is a hidden gem in K-Town, offering high-quality meats that truly stand out. The marinade is light, allowing the natural flavor of the meat to shine. The beef set is a must-try, with brisket, skirt steak, and short rib that are simply divine. The seafood pajeon is a crispy and flavorful delight. While the sundubu is a decent palate cleanser, the real stars of the show are the meats. The price point may seem high, but the quality and quantity make it a worthwhile investment for a truly satisfying meal. Highly recommend!

Needed a casual kbbq spot to take some friends but was looking for high quality meats; this was perfect. We got the boneless short rib (kalbi was probably some of the best I’ve had in the city) and iberico pork collar that were cooked by the staff perfectly. Also the side dishes remind me of what I usually get back at home 🥹 Also their sauces and marinades.. I hope they sell them some day cause I need them.. The interior was really colorful and inviting - very picture worthy! Definitely coming back here for a casual date or to bring more friends out. Good Luck with your opening year!

Came here on a weekday and had a great meal. Service was excellent and the cuts of meat were 👌. Would deff recommend anyone coming to visit nyc to stop by here. Personally its the best kbbq place in nyc.
