Excellent Italian restaurant on Fifth Avenue. Very attentive staff. Delicious pastas and unmissable desserts. We will return to this place.

We had a great breakfast and amazing service at Le Meridien! Everyone was so friendly and the food was delicious.

Love their first location and LOVE this new one! Food is exceptional- probably one of the best porterhouse's in the city! Staff is super friendly and always ensure you have a great time. Excellent wine selection. Deff a go to spot for me!

Fantastic experience great service and wonderful food

By Kristian H |

I went to a Allora for lunch. It was my birthday and I wanted to have a special lunch. There's an old adage that says if you don't love yourself, how to hell can you love anybody else? That's the reason I was eating solo. From the very beginning, it was a special event. The head host noticed me looking at the menu outside and took a special interest to take my reservation for lunch, asked me what was the occasion, and made a note that it was my Birthday. The wait staff was absolutely fantastic. I was waited on by Abishek and Denisa both of them provided excellent service and brought me slice of cake and sang Happy Birthday at the end of my meal. The food was top-notch. I had the seared pad fried steak along with asparagus and it was totally delicious. I highly recommend Allora for any meal.! I cannot wait to take my wife there for our Anniversary next month.

A GEM!!

My friends and I cannot stop raving about our dinner at Allora. I will be dreaming about that chicken parm for a long time. 10/10 food & amazing service. I recommend ordering one of every pasta if you’re going with a group (thank me later). Will definitely be back!

Will be go back again !!

Fun and friendly staff, Amazing food

By Andzelika |

Allora has always been a go-to spot for me and my friends, and when this new location opened, we knew we had to go! It absolutely did not disappoint, and in fact exceeded all our expectations! The staff are friendly, kind, and also fun, making the experience of dining at Allora a fantastic one. The food is unbelievably good - the porterhouse steak is the best I've had in NYC hands down. Amazing wine list, and an impressive cocktail menu, but if you are craving something in particular, the bartender can make it happen. Can't wait to return!

Good food

We chose this restaurant for our first dinner in NYC. We ordered two first courses (rigatoni bolognese and tagliatelle verde); all very good. Nice atmosphere. Impeccable service and normal prices for a restaurant of this level

Allora Ristorante - Superb NYC Italian/Mediterranean

By Brother Che |

Allora has a classic Italian/Mediterranean menu and a very refined wine list. The servers are very knowledgeable, attentive, and professional. We ordered the Tuscan baby kale salad and the mozzarella and tomato with basil. Both were excellent and melted on the tongue with very subtle delicious flavors in the dressings. Main courses were the on the bone veal chop which was hot and perfectly seasoned and grilled, and the Mediterranean red snapper with baby shrimps, scallions cooked in a classic Italian white wine and lemon sauce! Sides were the garlic sautéed spinach and the mashed potatoes. Excellent! I loved it, 2nd time in a year we have dined here both times it was superb! It is now on our NYC favorites list! When you walk in tell the Maitre D that Che sent you! 6 stars from me!

Elegant service and delicious food

Amazing service and food , highly recommend for date night or birthday dinner. Located in Le Meredian hotel the ambiance is perfect

Lousy service.

By juan z |

The food is delicious but the service the waiter gave us is the worst.. they give you a discount voucher of 20 dollars at the hotel and without asking anything when you apply it includes 20% service. Additional if you didn't order what he wanted, he looked ugly at you.

Good food and excellent service!

The food was great, especially the complimentary appetizer we were offered, and the gnocchi pesto was good! Salmon was very tender but the sauce was just decent to me. Service was great!

Italian cuisine as it should be

By Paul |

Somewhat upper-class version of an Italian restaurant. No pizzas, but different types of pasta, and various "secondi" such as veal, fish, chicken and steaks, each with an Italian touch. The restaurant is located on 5th avenue and is located in the Méridien hotel. The tables are nicely cared for, with linen. For lunch we had 2 pastas (the seafood is highly recommended!) and 1 meat and 1 fish dish, with 1 glass of wine and only water (bottle, no tap). The bill including tax and tips (20%) was $237, which is reasonable for this class of restaurant, especially if located near 5th av. 200 m. from the Empire State Building. The food was excellent, the service was ordinary and our waiter showed little interest.

Understaffed, overrated

By RinLondon |

Very bland place. Slow service. Understaffed restaurant. Not good value for money either. The main dishes were nice but the amuse bouche was inedible. All in all, a disappointing experience

Best Restaurant Experience in a Long Time

By Tom W |

Could not have asked for a better experience or food. People running this restaurant know food and how to treat customers. A great place to eat and enjoy friends and family

Good experience for dinner

By David G |

Went there with adult family on. a Sunday night. We were early for NYC and the restaurant was nearly empty. The staff was very attentive. The food was very good. The asparagus soup was delicious and the pasta dishes were very good as well. We were given an amuse bouche and biscotti and almond cookies after dinner as well as limoncello. My wife had gnocchi with pesto which was delicious but very rich. Would definitely go again.

Tasty and hearty!

By Frank M |

Great Food! I ate there 3 nights in a row while in NYC for work. Salmon - Sea Bass - Veal parmigiana - all delicious. Big hearty portions and delicious! Broccoli Al dente good! Spinach - perfect - good use of shaved garlic - but toasted and not overpowering. Salad good - ( but could use a chopped Italian salad too)
desserts great, NY Cheesecake and chocolate pie - both great. I was about to give a bad review as the order taker refused - yes refused to serve me “ice water”, would only “sell” me a bottle - I told Elio the manager and I thing addressed this with his server. I forgive that because “one bad apple doesn’t spoil the whole bunch” / and Elio was fun! Really delicious traditional Italian!

Ho hum

By psu86 |

Went over the holidays in Dec. Weird place. Food was good ( bone in veal parm) , staff were ODD and less than friendly. Place was extremely loud and I mean extremely! Took a looong time for everything except water, I’ll give them that. They were Johnny on the spot w water. I won’t be back.

Allora was spectacular

By Dawid P |

Allora is an amazing place for dinner. Loved all the food from the amazing apps, to the mains, sides and deserts. I could not have asked for a better experience!!

DELICIOUS!

By Adrienne J |

Had dinner with my fiancee here and we have not been able to stop thinking about it since. We ordered the prosciutto and melon to start and split the porterhouse with sides for our main. Everything came out super fresh and elegantly plated. If you are looking for a stand-out meal, check this place out!

PORTERHOUSE STEAK

By Claudia |

Where has this place been all my life? The bistecca ala Fiorentina is honestly my death row meal. Staff was super nice and attentive and the vibe was great. Check it out!! I'll definitely be back

Enjoyable breakfast

By Daniel D |

Good tasting breakfast, but sides are somewhat small. The restaurant looks very elegant and there’s a good amount of breakfast options.

Excellent Service For A Tired Group

By C L |

We made a last-minute reservation after finishing our Empire State Building tour. Our kids were gassed, adults were cold, and we were not dressed for a nice dinner. The maitre d’ Elio met us at the front and tossed a few jokes towards the kids, putting our edgy group at ease. Next came a couple of Shirley Temples followed by zucchini chips and a salami/cheese plate on the house. Having already performed a minor miracle, the staff followed it up by making some excellent wine and food recommendations. The entire staff was in on the act.

Ground Roll Double

By Adventurer525554 |

Note: This the new 57th Street location. Restaurant was recommended by our hotel that did not have a food & beverage options. Service was a strange mix of fine dining notes and casual overtones. A perfect example was re-silvering our table between courses. A wonderful tradition but instead of bringing over a re-silvering tray, the front waiter pulled items from adjacent table. Front server spent more time chatting at the bar than attending to our table. Sincere compliments to the back server who was extremely professional and attentive! Food was very well prepared and presented. Side dishes a bit pricy even for NYC. We did experience a common odor of cigarette smoke throughout our evening which is very odd in this day and age.

I will be your ‘regular customer

Much improved! Good food and service.

Much improved! Last time we were here it was noisy and the food arrived very late. This time, the food was delicious and well preserved and service was great. Maria the manager seemed genuinely interested in constructive feedback like making the printed menu consistent with with one online.

Overall a good breakfast with decent flavor and excellent service; a bit overpriced though

By 0504Traveller |

We were staying at the Le Méridien and since the restaurant is inside the hotel, they offered breakfast to guests so we decided to check it out. Overall food was decent but the service was excellent, especially from the male server from Albania We ordered the omelet which came with a variety of veggies and cheese included, and on the side came with potatoes and bread. We also got a side of fruit and potatoes. The side dishes were a bit expensive given the quantity but the taste was decent. The omelet was cooked well. We also got tea which was also good Overall a good breakfast with decent flavor and excellent service; a bit overpriced though
