A taste of Italy

By SueCQMIA |

There is nothing like going to a restaurant and feeling at home. The staff is warm and friendly but the real draw is the food. Reasonable prices, huge portions and something for everyone on the menu. We eat there regularly and have never had a bad meal.

Always a great meal!

By Idalmen13 |

I have been going to Amici's for over 20 years and I have yet to have a bad meal. We have literally had every item on the menu and they have all been equally excellent. From the amazing pizza, to my ultimate favorite; Lobster Ravioli, all of the dishes here are truly great and fresh. Don't miss out and make sure to bring your appetite because the portions are a healthy serving.

Awesome

By Noely0216 |

I love coming here any chance I get. It's authentic Italian food and the service is always good. The best around! I have been a loyal customer for 17 years. Since I moved from New York.

New to Miramar!

By crhon9 |

I'm from New York and was having a hard time finding a pizzeria to sell me just one or two slices of pizza. Florida wants to sell one the whole pie! I'm just one person and sometimes just want one slice. Enter - Amici in MIRAMAR. I've never been to the one on Hammocks Blvd. but, there's one on Miramar Parkway now and I am soooo happy. We tried the pizza. It came to the table warm - ugh. It was tasty though. It did remind me of NY pizza. We tried the garlic knots. YUM. We tried the salmon with mashed potatoes and spinach. Yum but, spinach was too watery. Its juices spilled around the taters and did not look nice.

Our favorite Italian restaurant

By Penny D |

This has become our go-to Italian restaurant. There are others nearby but none have such a varied menu where everything on it is delicious. Great prices too!

Very good, every time

By Gerardo P |

Good old reliable in this neighborhood. Haven't had a bad meals there in about 6 to 8 trips. Priced fairly but the quality is consistent...very, very good. The salads, pizza, and pasta dishes never disappoint. My son ordered a white pizza, when it came to the table it was covered in herbs. They gladly made him another in 5 minutes. Will be back.

Very good food!

By Dreadrea |

I've been coming to this place since I was a little girl, they have delicious dishes. My favorite dish here is the Amici Ziti and Tortellini in marinara sauce (they offer more sauces and they're absolutely great too). They also offer pizza and their slices are HUGE & thin.

Super food and service, we even went back the next night.

By Heff17 |

We went on the advice of Tripadvisor and enjoyed all our meals (pastas and veal Francese). Great service, too. We decided to go back for a late night pizza the next night and enjoyed that as well.

Great pizza!!

By Maritza C |

Love their pizza, this is my #1 place to order pizza in Kendall. Their delivery service is generally on time, I totally recommend this place.

My husband and I enjoy eating lunch and dinner here. We have been going here for several years and are never disappointed. The servers are friendly and professional. The meals are enjoyable. The ambiance is good. I recommend this place for couples

Our "Go To" Italian Restaurant

By Edmund438 |

I am an Italian cook and when we want to eat out Italian; Amici's is the only place we feel is authentic in Miami. Easy location in West Kendall, plenty of parking, nice atmosphere and excellent service. Great cooking, authentic Southern Italian style; delicious and plentiful at a very reasonable price.

Very Nice Italian Neighborhood Restaurant

By OPSilver |

The food was pretty decent and the service was not excellent but it was acceptable. The Fried Calamari looked very promising when it was brought to the table but unfortunately was absolutely bland. It was tender but the sauces did not help at all. They serve good portions; but the food is not spectacular. Then again this is just a neighborhood restaurant and the expectations must be real. What really surprised me - in a good way - was the fact that on Saturday nights - beginning at 8:30 pm - they have a singer that performs all of Sinatra's greatest hits. The guy can really sing and he makes the dining experience so much better. If you are in the area and want to avoid the same chain Italian restaurants that we all know, then, give this place a chance; and if you go on a Saturday night you can have dinner and entertainment in one.

Italian Night Delight

By classact007B |

We have been going to Amici's for over 20 years. The food has always been great and the service prompt. The fine ambiance reminds of an upscale New York Italian restaurant. If you want Italian food in Kendall...this is the place to go.

Great Italian restaurant in the Hammocks

By Alexis N |

Found this place through my parents and has become our go to Italian restaurant. The kids love the large portions, service and quality of the food. Prices are reasonable and they make it very difficult to finish your dish....too much food! But on weekends it gets real busy so get there early.

Great place! Worth the price!

By cato7719 |

My wife and I visited Amici's in a Friday night. We had read other reviews and decides to check it out. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was very tasty and big portions. The staff was nice and attentive as well. It seems they remodeled and they did an excellent job. I already started recommending this place to friends. It's not high end pricing but a quaint place with a cool, modern decor.

Late Lunch

By Peter G |

Our SatNav guided us here after I selected any pizza place on it. A good find! My wife had the lasagna and I had a small pizza which actually was quite large. The food was cooked fresh and was really good and good value. Our server Gloria was very good and attentive.

Amici's authentic Italian food

By Paul B |

As a neighborhood restaurant in the West Kendall area of Miami, Amici's has really grown over the years, mostly because of the high-quality food dished out in large proportions and at reasonable prices. I've never had a friend I have recommended it to come back with anything but raves for the food. Amici's started as a very small, hole-in-the-wall place in the Hammocks Shopping Center with probably a half-dozen tables, if that. A few years later, it moved a few doors away and doubled in size, but retained a homey atmosphere. This fall it moved next door and went more upscale. The interior has the feel of a Miami Beach nightclub. But the good thing is, Tony, the owner, has kept the quality of the food at the same high standards, though it is a bit pricier. We also encountered some service delays on our recent visit, mostly because the place was packed on the Sunday night before Christmas. Thus my wife and daughter-in-law were served their entrees (lasagna and penne vodka) first and were nearly through eating before my son and I got the pizza we had ordered. Of course, my wife had warned me that the pizza was going to take a while, Still, the service wasn't up to its usual high standards. Not overly slow, just not quite as efficient as had been the case in the past. No doubt, one factor is that with the larger facility Tony has had to increase his staff and it may take a while for the newcomers to catch up. But the main thing is the food. We all took leftovers home with us and were able to enjoy the meal a second time.

No impressed this time

By Canesbiggdogg |

We have been here over 10 times. This time the service was not good. We had the garlic rolls to start like we always do and they were a bit on the burnt side. We ordered the chicken lasagna (which was very good) and the white pizza. To start off the pizza came out 15 minutes after the lasagna which goes to tell me that the waiter forgot to put the pizza order in. When we asked to get the ceasar salad instead of the house salad the waiter told us they dont have caesar sald, whuch we have had there on several occassions. I will chalk this up to a bad night at the restauarant.

Bigger amici's but not better food.

By Skycop |

We have been going to this restaurant for a long time. The new place is very nice. We always bring friends to eat here and they love it. Yesterday (Saturday) We went to have a nice dinner, the place was not that busy so we thought great ! we are going to have a great time. Well, the service was really good, but the food was not as good. We ordered Oyster Rockefeller, they came warm not cook, some were even cold in the inside. The sea food lasagna was overcook, the fish and the shrimps were rubbery. My daughter ordered the chicken Fracaise with bake Ziti. The ziti came without being Baked. Had to go back. We didn't made a big deal about the meal, but let the waitress know about the problem. We love this restaurant and hope the quality of the food doesn't suffer at the new location. (We ordered Wine and it took a long time to come. ) perhaps it was a new cook??? We will be back and will report here the findings. Management please keep your eyes in the kitchen!

Inexpensive Italian lunch

By ExtraUnderwear |

PROS *Lunch deal is super cheap and includes salad and two garlic bread rolls. *Lunch menu has some enticing options such as baked ziti, stuffed shells and fried calamari. *Portions are a good size. *Good place to take parents who want something inexpensive and simple. We’ll probably be back. CONS *Baked ziti was OK. Nothing special. And the lasagna was kind of weird. But hey, at $8.95 per meal, I wasn’t too disappointed.

GARLIC ROLSS GARLIC ROLLS GARLIC ROLLS

By Canesbiggdogg |

Went for dinner with the family. As always we start with the garlic rolls and they are best I have had. My kids had the fettucini alfredo with shrimp and it was great. I had the calzone and it was delicious as always. The negative is the server was horrible. We have had him before and that is a shame. It was Friday night and there was a guy playing sax which was good but a bit loud. All in all the food here is what keeps us coming back

The Best!

By Sapic001 |

This is the best Italian food you can get in Miami! I have been going there for years and I love it, everything on the menu is excellent and the staff is wonderful. Try it, you won't be sorry.

Our Go-to Italian Restaurant

By viridis |

We've been going to Amici's for years and have always loved it. My usual meal is penne crabmeat (which I think is no longer listed on the menu, but you can still ask for it). It never disappoints. Whenever I try other items on the menu, they are all delicious as well. Tip: if you like vegetables, order a side of sauteed vegetables - they're incredible. Also, if you like Sinatra music, they have an excellent Sinatra impersonator/singer on Saturday nights. Service is always fast and friendly.

Really Like This Place!

By JaneRichard |

Have eaten there on several occasion. The food and service never disappoints. I had the chicken francese, which was well prepared and very flavorful. You can't go wrong here.

Great night out

By Catherine T |

Our group had penne with vodka sauce, cheese pizza and ziti. All were really good. They had live music and he was excellent-sounded like Sinatra. Crime brûlée was nice, cheesecake was still frozen. Best of all-garlic knots -amazing!!

Food is fresh as always

By Canesbiggdogg |

Been a bit since we had not been here. We of course start with the garlic rolls which were amazing. We also ordered some calamari and they were very good as well. For dinner I had the sausage calzone and it was cooked to order. My GF had the chicken francase and my daughter the cheese ravioli and they of course were excellent

Great place

By Josean C |

I can come back everyday to this restaurant. Nice decoration, our server had a very good service and all the plates we ate were delicious. I highly recommend it.

Good pizza!

By 2005HappyRetiree |

The food, the service and the atmosphere were very good. The pizza was really excellent. I plan to return.

Pizza, Pizza, and Pasta

By Hernan R |

If you are from New York then Italian food has a special place in your heart. Going to Amici's is the closest i will ever get to being back in the big apple. For starters they have the best Pizza in Miami. The pasta is amazing from the ravioli to the lasagna everything is very delicious. My personal favorite is the chicken parm. The bar is cozy and the pricing per drink is unbeatable. If you like beer I highly recommend ordering Angelo's which is imported from Italy. It has a great taste and is only $3!!!

Delicious!

By Jen S |

We have been to Amici's a number of times in the past couple years and they never disappoint! We haven't found food that we didn't like. I love their spaghetti carbonara & my husband loves their garlic rolls! Cant wait to go back!

One of the best restaurant in Miami

By alfredomeola |

Great food and friendly staff for this italian restaurant managed by Antonio Apicella from Cava de' Tirreni (SA) - Italy...! You can find real italian flavors and a very good Pizza. We have been going there since we moved from Italy in 2008... Try Stuffed Portabella... ;)

On a recommendation

By Robak2018p |

We were seated right away and our waitress was very nice and checked on us multiple times throughout the meal. The salad was fresh with great taste. Entree was eggplant Parmesan a nice melt on the cheese and a decent portion. The side of spaghetti had the right amount of sauce the only downfall was the water in the pasta was a bit much. Otherwise this would of been excellent! The bread was coated in olive oil and fresh garlic minced. Definitely would return. This is in a strip mall center off the roadway.

Train your Stuff

By Alex1015 |

We have been going to this Restaurant for a long time at the old building, were food and service was excellent. Last knight (Wednesday) I went with my wife, the place looks like a Million really nice, we step in and the Hostess (Male) was chit chatting with one of the waitresses, waited to be seated but I guess the chat in between then was more important than a customer waiting, I interrupt with a table for 2 sign . Once seated we waited for 12 minutes and nobody ever showed up. I go to the front and tell the Host to move me to an area of the Restaurant were waiters are working. He agree to move me instead of getting a waiter to take care of business. 3 more minutes and a Waiter show up . We order a Pizza and 2 "Cans" of Coke they bring 2 glasses of Coke instead. We waited for another 20 minutes for the Pizza. The waiter was never on site, it looks that the only Waitress working the floor was a blond girl with a Santa s hat taking care of her customers in a very Professional way. It looks like the restaurant its run by Clowns and the owner of the Circus is not around. This waiters and Bus Boys they suffer of Lack of Training, they have no clue how to sell. I was never ask if I wanted an appetizer, a bottle of wine or nothing that will bring more Revenue to the Restaurant on more money for the Tips. Food is Good Service Sucks big time, starting at the door.

Good Italian food

By G T |

Great veal parmigiano! Good food nice ambiance for a neighborhood restaurant. Great selection and good friendly service.

Great garlic rolls...again!!

By Canesbiggdogg |

We went for dinner and of course started with the garlic rolls which were AMAZING!!!!. I had the sausage and pasta plate. The sausage was almost creay. It was one of the best sausages I have ever had. My GF had the fettucini with shrimp. The shrimp were very big and the pasta was excellent.

Excellent food

By Renee L |

We visited this restaurant with my in laws while staying in Miami recently. It was really good. The portions are huge. The marinara sauce was the best I have ever had. My son raved over and over about the pizza he had. The prices are not bad. The only complaint I could say was that we ordered 3 cannolis to go and did not see the price until we paid. They were almost $7 each and my husband & in laws said that they were just okay. Other than that, the service was excellent as was the ambiance.Highly recommended!

Once again Garlic rolls are awesome

By Canesbiggdogg |

Great dinner experience once again. Started with the amazing garlic rolls. We had the made to order calzone which was great as always and the lobster ravioli which was also very good. We decided to have the new york style cheescake for dessert and it was great!!! This place is a must go to italian restaurant

Good Italian Food

By Canesbiggdogg |

Went these for the first time on a Monday night and the place was packed. This says alot. I ordered the calzone and my GF ordered the spaghetti carbonara. They were both very good. The calzone I ordered was made when I ordered it. The food and atmosphere was very good but the service was a bit lacking. Will return again.

Excellent Service, Quality, Portions and Price

By Sylvianne |

This was my third time to Amici's, this time a mom & son "date". He's a big fan of their garlic parmesan rolls, and I'm all about their Chicken Alfredo. It was a busy Saturday night, and yet, the food came quick, hot and perfect. The price is right...we'll be back for more rolls!

Awesome food, awesome ambiance!

By JA-Family |

Made reservations for a party of 12 on a Thursday night. Got there and was seated in 5 min. Very nice, romantic modern decor...service was quick and efficient and our meals were served very quickly. The food was fresh and hot, my dish, the Amici's ziti was absolutely delicious! Sampled everyone's dishes(chicken Parmesan, fettuccini & shrimp, calamari, lasagne) and they all tasted very good and portions were big...everyone was pleased, will definitely return!

GARLIC ROLLS ARE TO DIE FOR

By Canesbiggdogg |

Returned to our favorite italian restaurant in the Hammocks. Like always ordered the garlic rolls that were GREAT!!! I went with the calzone that they make from scratch when you order it. We also had the spaghetti carbonara which was also excellent!!!

Great Italian Restaurant

By Canesbiggdogg |

You walk in and the smell is wonderful. We ordered the lobster ravioli which was really good and the calzone which was made to order and really good. The garlic rolls are the best I have tasted.

Great food!

By Nancyjjj-953 |

We ate here twice and had super food. I had a veal Francese and friends had lobster ravioli and spaghetti carbonara. All were excellent, but mine was best! The next night we stopped for a great pizza.

Good Italian food

By Reyna |

Amici's a well place to eat and take out. It was an amazing experience there. Food was very delicious and awesome. I ordered lentil soup and it was hot and testy. Hawaiian flatbread was awesome. Really good place to come to test Italian food.

Great Italian

By kendallmiami |

Great food in the neighborhood. I usually get the Chicken Parmesan which is excellent. Pizza is good, but I prefer Anthony's. New location is nice.

Reliable

By Maria G |

Amici’s has reliable Italian food and is open late. The garlic bread was delicious as always. The salad fresh. The carbonara was tasteless.

The Best

By travislawn |

Have been to Amici's numerous times the food here is delicious from the Chicken Parm, the lasagna, pizza and there pink sauce. This place is always consistently great!!! I would recommend this place to everyone .

Local Favorite

By MiamiLouH |

First time I had been in to the new location. Very well done and the food was up to snuff as it usually is. Portions are large and tasty.

Impressive food!

By lymac7 |

Don't let its modest strip mall exterior deter you. The ambience inside is quite nice. Their garlic rolls are some of the best I've tried (and I've tried MANY garlic rolls). I found the pasta and sauces to be fresh. We were both very satisfied with our meals and with our overall experience here.

Wonderful Italian Restaurant

By Butterfly12321 |

Yesterday evening was our 1st time at Amici's Trattoria Italiana. Everything we experienced from start was finish was fabulous. We went with a very large group of 17 people for a teenage birthday party and boy am I glad we came here. The food was delicious, the service was one-of-a-kind where no detail was overlooked and they made sure we had everything we needed and more. Our waiter, Alberto was extremely service oriented as were all of the other welcoming employees. They all bent over backwards for us and I never heard a no or saw a sour face from anyone. The pizzas, chicken parmesan, pastas, salads, subs, breads, and even fun & festive drinks (for young & not-so-young) were magnificent. All of the food was very fairly priced and we left with great memories. Overall we highly recommend this place and will definitely return for years to come.

Great Food at a Great Price

By bmlbear |

I have been her numerous times and it is always good. The Pizza is delicious, Fish, chcken and pasta are all good. They are also one of the only places to serve subs for Diner. The Snapper Oreganato and Amici Ziti is very good. The Garlic rolls are outrageous but you better like garlic. If you get the Chicken Parmigina sub ask for the chicken not to be breaded - they will do it. Mangia!

Love the food!

By Lily Leitner |

We have been in this restaurant at least 5 times, I love the cheese Pizza, is so perfect. My other favorite is the mussels in wine sauce, they are fresh and the juices in the sauce are to die for. Have a great wine selection, I personally love their house merlot, the food is price just right and they give you plenty to eat. Is my favorite restaurant in Kendall. Restaurant is casual and perfect for families and friends.

Miami meets Brooklyn

By Marime05 |

20 years already since it opened in The Hammocks, West Kendall area in Miami, FL. It has changed from a little neighborhood family restaurant to what it is today. A trendy and modern italian restaurant. It's menu has grown as well. Last nite dinner, Friday after Thanksgiving, was delish! We started with some fried Calamari, which were cooked to perfection, soft and not chewy. We continued with ricotta raviolis, baked with cheese on top, to die for. Amicis has a lot of baked pasta dishes. Try one, my favorite, Amicis Zitti!!!! I ordered a risotto with fruti di mari....exceptional. So many clams, big shrimps, so tasty and fresh. My son ordered spaghetti and meatballs. Don't hesitate for one second to order it...really home made! For my little one: pizza. The slice, huge, was already cut in short enough pieces that she could ate it still thinking it was a pizza slice. We didn't have room for dessert, but the generous glass of malbec was as good as it gets. The restaurant offers a nice bar, which is always full. Really cool place. Good and fast service. A gem in Miami suburbs!

Gross

By VivianGreen123 |

Went to dinner at this restaurant tonight. This was not my first visit but it will definitely be my lady. I was eating my salad and about 2 minutes into it, a grasshopper came from under the lettuce and started walking around my plate. It was just disgusting. The waitress was very nice and apologetic and they did only charge us for the wine, however I just can never go back to this restaurant again. An hour after I got home I still feel like throwing up. It was just a horrible experience.

No good

By Ileana V |

This place has gone downhill. Food is cold, they are very rude and don’t get the orders right. It’s use to be such a nice place to eat. Dints recommend this place at all.

Fantastic Italian restaurant

By G.T. and my better half Ira |

An unimposing strip mall restaurant hides a fantastic culinary experience. The service was above average. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. She even changed the ambient music from an oldies disco style to a more traditional Italian style upon our request....what a great attitude. The appetizer Portobello Stuffed mushrooms are to die for. The menu is a wide selection of dishes. The Fillet of Fish Francese and the Eggplant parmesan were very well prepared and piping hot. The garlic rolls were totally great....let us just say that we will not be worrying about vampires anytime soon....lol....their cortito coffee was exquisitely prepared and perfect. The decor is functional modern, but comfortable.

Awesome Italian!

By Wagner V |

Great place for Sunday brunch. I had the veal parmigiana and it was awesome. They bring you soma garlic rolls, which are really good. Also try the calamari as an appetizer.

Horrible

By pinkfairylove |

I have been going to this restaurant for 10 years. Last Sunday I went there to eat with my husband & son. Later that night we were all sick. I'm not going to go into to details, but it was horrible. I called the next day because I was in complete shock since I have been a customer for so many years & never had this happen before. What a mistake! The man that I spoke to was RUDE beyond belief calling me a liar & telling me that they never had anyone call & state that they were sick with food poisoning. Needless to say I ended the called stating I would never return to their restaurant again. Apparently they have no sense into what customer service means or just a simple apology.

This is Real Italian Food

By Edmund438 |

Home style family cooking thoroughly enjoyed by this Italian Family. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. Start with the Mussels in white wine garlic sauce (get extra bread or garlic rolls for the sauce - or drink with spoon; delicious). Generous portion for 3 or 4 people as an appetizer. Garlic rolls are delicious. My favorite is Linguini with Frutti di Mare (mixed seafood). I am a good eater and the bowl gives me enough take home for lunch the next day. Anchovy Pizza is great too. This is the only Italian Restaurant in West Kendall that does it right.

By far the best ...

By anelizps |

This is the only place where I eat pizzas! And have tried most of the pastas in the menu...everything is excellent...you have the vongole, the mussels with red sauce, shrimp vodka with pink sauce, veal marsala, chicken marsala, alfredo with chicken or shrimp, snaper francese, lasagna..You name it... Everything is good

We miss you, Amici's!

By americangirl69 |

Years ago, this was the place to go to for a great Italian meal. However, things have changed. The restaurant went through a major renovation and when the red table cloths were removed so went the small neighborhpod feeling. The food quality has also suffered. Most of the patrons from the restaurant have started to visit Two Brothers restaurant which is minutes away on Kendall.

Hidden Gem!

By KatherineP321 |

Amici's is absolutely wonderful! Not only was the service excellent on a busy Saturday evening, but the food was exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant for its quality and reasonable prices.

Consistently Excellent

By Don K |

I have been coming to this family owned gem for ten plus years and have always had a great meal and a pleasant experience. Tony and Janet own this Italian delight that has truly authentic New York roots with a touch of Argentinian influence. You'll find a wide array of traditional and creative (Amici's Ziti) dishes on the menu...along with some succulent specials (tortellacci is a favorite when available.) Plenty of pizza is available and they'll mix and match toppings to your liking. Make sure you try the white pizza too! They also sport a full bar and an engaging wine list. What do I think of their food quality and service? Well I have had Amici's host any number of significant family events at their restaurant and cater others. I have also had them cater special events for my business customers...and I am talking upwards of 300 people. I give Amici's five stars only because Trip Advisor won't let me add a sixth.

Typical italian eatery

By Art P |

Recommended by a friend and although not disappointed in the food it was average. The usual dished of pasta (oversized) loaded with tomato sauce etc. Big pizzas that you can get anywhere. Not saying its bad but I've eaten better. One time wonder. If you want to fill up the family this is the place to go but if you want some superior food than go somewhere else.

Great food but be prepared to wait despite having a reservation

By Marilyn J |

We had a 7:30 reservation that we made a week in advance and arrived 15 minutes prior to reservation time. We were a party of eight celebrating my son's birthday. We were not seated until 8:25 and then we had to wait another 40 minutes before our food arrived. We had two small children in our party and needless to say nothing was done to expedite their food. The food is good but definitely not worth the wait with a reservation. Needless to say we won't be back with our family again. We have patronized Amici's for many years and have never had this type of treatment before. Seems to me that if they cannot honor reservations they should not take them and if they do they should attempt to honor them.

Baked Ziti

By Diego A |

I had the Baker Ziti and it was good. Best Baked Ziti around Hammocks Area, The pizza and service was good also. Baked Ziti highly recommend.

Amazing food, fresh made with friendly staff.

By Julio M |

We stop by the City on family visit and saw the reviews online so we decided to stop by, wow. The place is clean and the atmosphere is fantastic. The staff we friendly and the good top of the line. I recomendación it over all. Garlic rolls were out of this world, the pizza dress and tasty you owe to yourself to visit this place

Disappointment

By Peter B |

I ordered the burrata and a pasta with shrimp and scampi/locustini. The burrata was okay but completely uninspiring. The pasta was very poor — overcooked, mushy, and stuck together. The shrimp and locustini were soft, bland, and unpleasant, with no real flavor. The atmosphere was fine — we sat in the bar area with nice music — but the seating was very uncomfortable, especially in the summer. Overall, the food was bad enough that I wouldn’t return.

Good service, awful food

By Megan |

We just had lunch at this place based on the recommendations from trip advisor. The service was very acceptable, they were friendly and eager to please. I had to ask for silverware replacement since the ones wrapped with napkins at the table were full of dried tomato sauce. The ziti was awfully presented and extremely dry and hard ( I always have my pasta Al dente) this was very uncooked. The eggplant parmigiana was soggy and mushy. It’s a place where we are not coming back.

Best Italian restaurant in Miami

By travelingjacquelined |

I've been here over ten times. Gnocchis are incredible. Seafood risotto, fugazetta pizza, eggplant parmesan, sangria, dulce de leche crepes, and every other dish I've tried here are out of this world. You won't regret coming here. Definitely affordable pricing for the food quality.

It was just.....ok.

By Michael T |

Went on a friend's recommendation. Not impressed with food or service.

Amazing food, amazing service!

By travelingjacquelined |

If you're looking for a good Italian place, this is it. I have been here over ten times in the past year. EVERYTHING on their menu is delicious. My favorite are the spinach gnocchi. Homemade gnocchis. Come on, doesn't get any better! Their red sangria is great. Their brick oven pizza is amazing. I recommend this to all of my friends and family. Prices are affordable. Service is great, staff is friendly and courteous.

One of my favorite restaurants!!

By Child374 |

I've going to Amici's since it opened - more than 10-15 years ago. Everything that I have to say about this restaurant is positive. The food is great & the portions are big - my kids love the lobster ravioli and my favorite is the baked ziti with pink sauce!!! Also, when it comes to catering - they are awesome. For example, the chicken parm is a great choice for catering. Their 1/2 pan is enough for 20 people and not 10..and the full pan is enough for 40 and not 2".. Always ask for the chicken to be cut in half. You cannot go wrong with anything you order at this restaurant.

Good Italian food.

By Merka255 |

This restaurant started many years ago in a small locale at The Hammocks in Kendall, in Miami Throughout the years it has grown to a good size full fledge Italian restaurant. It is a local dinner but is always full. Good food, cold beer and prices which are not to high. It was over two years ago that I visited last and was impressed with the new look. The only complain that I have is that it took more than 15 minutes for our server to finally take our drink order. To his defense the restaurant was full of customers.

Brooklyn Italian Native says WOW!!!!

I found this gem of a restaurant at a friends recommendation. She is also from NYC and said it is the closest thing to home. She was soooo right! I have never been disappointed with this restaurant. Most recently, they have expanded and renovated and it is quite trendy while keeping that family feel. My favorite entrees are as follows: Shrimp Fra Diavolo (little spicy which i love), eggplant parmigiana, and Amici's Ziti which is exactly how my Nonna (grandmother) used to make it. The tomato sauce is mixed with ricotta which is mixed in to the ziti, with strips of breaded eggplant, and smothered on top with mozzarella cheese.....

Great Italian food

By mencos1 |

The food was really good, everything tasted fresh and like real Italian cooking. We went there with extended family and had a really good meal and time. Not dive stars because of location at a not so nice strip mall, but as a restaurant you should really try it if you are in the area. Nice decor too.

wonderful overall

Great food, Peroni on tap, great service, priced right. What more could you want? They feature both pizza and pasta besides some classic Italian dishes.

Best Italian Restaurant

By anelizps |

Being coming to Amici's since it was a small 8 tables restaurant next to the gym. The first time it caught my attention that people were always waiting in line to get in and decided to give it a try. Best decision ever.... Since then (more than 20+ years) this is my favorite restaurant, my only place for pizza and pasta... And a variety to choose from. I cannot mention only one plate of the menu as all are delicious: shrimp vodka, linguini with clams, veal marsala, snapper francese, fettucini alfredo with chicken... you name it... And the homemade Carbonara pasta...It is delicious!

That Italian Impressed this Italian

By Edmund438 |

Tony is from the Salerno area and my heritage is from Calabria area. I grew up on Southern Italian Cooking and I cook that way too. This is great, authentic, delicious Italian food. Generous portions at very reasonable prices. Great attentive service. I've lived in West Kendall for 20 years and this was first visit. Great mussels, nice salad, and main course Frutti di Mare. I always finish my main course, but this was such a generous portion that I took nearly half home for another meal two days later. The prion I ate at home was heated and was just as moist and delicious as the first course in the restaurant. We will frequent Amici's often now.

The best Italian Food in Miami

By Edmund438 |

I am Italian and cook Italian and find most Italian restaurants to be so so at best. Amici sets the standard for delicious authentic home cooked Southern Italy style Italian food. This is like I had at home and in the best Italian restaurants in Boston, New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Italy. Nice atmosphere, ample parking, excellent service and large servings at reasonable prices. My wife and I each had enough of our main course to take home for dinner today. The Best.

Its in my neighborhood. Lucky me

Amici's Trattoria Italiana has been around for a long time but I recently stopped by and coud not believe the bigger/better Amici! The ambiance is very nice. They have a full bar now and their oysters & mussels appetizer are great. The staff is friendly and ready to make your stay a memorable one.

Nothing special...just standard Italian.

By Mark B |

I lived in Italy for awhile (military) so I am critical of Italian food now. I a ordered carbonara and my girlfriend ordered the spaghetti with meatballs. It is pretty standard Italian food, nothing special but not bad. Hate to sound pretentious but...it's good for America but Italian food is better in Italy.

Nice family restaurant

Great food. Nice restaurant. Has live music on Saturday. The family pizza meal is priced very reasonable. You get rolls and a pitcher of the soft drink of your choice besides the pizza. Meals are proportioned where 2 can eat from one plate. Great place.

Disappointing

By Sandy P |

We have patronized Amici's for years. This evening my husband and I were very disappointed. We waited over 7 minutes to get out drinks, had to ask for water, our food was not heated through, we had to ask for bread, which we never received. The waitress came by only after we flagged her down for the check and let her know how awful our experience was. Very disappointed, the restaurant has a beautiful ambiance, but definitely not enough staff to provide a pleasant experience. The table next to us we're having problems also. We were not the only ones but unfortunately they have lost a customer!!!!!

Excellent Everytime

I been going to Amici's for the last 14 years and has always surpassed my expectations. I order pizza at least once a week and when we go to eat there their food is excellent.

Great food at a great price

This is one of my favorite places to eat. It is in a strip mall, but is very elegant inside. The food is delicious and you get huge portions for inexpensive prices. On weekends they have live music which is very nice. They also do takeout and delivery. I can't say enough about how good the pizza and pasta are, and you get free garlic knots. Even alcohol is inexpensive with a very healthy pour of wine for less than $5.

Good Italian cuisine

If you want Authentic Italian, This is the Place!

My husband and I have been going to Amici's for over 15 years and have never been disappointed. The service and food is excellent and it shows by the wait to get seated. They have a great Sinatra impersonator on Saturday's that adds to the ambiance of the restaurant. Everything is fresh and made to order. The pizza is true New York style ( I think the bring down water from NYC). Large portions, that will definitely not put a ding in your wallet. One of my faves is the Chicken Saltimbocca and the Lasagna. We live in Key West now and go to Amici's every chance we get when we are in Miami.

Can’t beat their lunches!

By Mari H |

I’ve been a fan of Amici’s since they opened their small restaurant at the Hammocks twenty some years ago. We had moved away and are now back and decided to go to lunch there a couple of weeks ago. They have a much more bigger location very nicely decorated. They have lunch specials for $8.95, which is quite incredible. They also have as a lunch special two slices of pizza with a drink for $4.95, which on this particular visit we had as an appetizer. Their pizza is huge and thin and very tasty. My husband and I both had the chicken parmagiana, which came with a starter salad and huge garlic rolls. It was a big piece of chicken perfectly cooked with what is my favorite tomato sauce. It was cheesy also. Sometimes in other restaurants you only get a smattering of cheese, I like mine cheesy and this did not disappoint. It came with a side of spaghetti. It was delicious! We were stuffed so I cannot speak about the desserts but will forego the pizza the next time so I can try a dessert. This is by far the best Italian restaurant that I’ve been to, not only in Miami but throughout my travels.

Great food for a good price.

Our family loves this place. You can not go wrong with anything in the menu. The pizza, lasagna, chicken marsala, etc always taste fresh and delicious.

Not authentic Italian at all

By 4-having-fun |

We arrived on Friday evening at 7pm and found parking just outside and were seated in 5 minutes. We got our food menus when seated but without a bar menu. When the server came back for the drink order we had to ask for the bar menu. The wine selection is on the low end of the scale but a Pinot Grigio for $5 isn't a bad price. The (2) entrees that we ordered come with a house salad which is a very basic pizzeria-type house salad. The garlic roll basket had 4 rolls for 3 of us. The bread was very basic with a light coating of butter and minced garlic, not what you'd expect for garlic rolls. A caesar salad was ordered as an appetizer with a pizza entree but it never came. Our server said he didn't put that order in. The spaghetti and meat balls tasted simple at best but the large meatballs had a gamey taste to them, not a pork or veal blend. We didn't like them at all and didn't eat them. The fresh tomato pizza had a good crust, minimal toppings but no sauce-no marinara nor white sauce. We ordered a side of marinara sauce to dip the pizza into. The only positive was the eggplant parm which was very good because of the unique layer of ricotta cheese between 2 layers of breaded eggplant then smothered with marinara and baked with mozzarella. There are several support servers and they were all friendly and attentive. The prices on all the menu items are reasonable but you really get what you pay for here.

Best Italian food in Miami!

By epic2473 |

I have been going to this restaurant for almost 15 years and I still think it ranks supreme! The restaurant is hard to find and is pretty far west but worth the travel. The pizza is excellent and the best dish that is a must try is the Amici's ziti. Won't explain it here - all you need to know is that it is very good. Also, the one time I had a problem with the place they immediately redressed my troubles by giving me a free meal for two!

After remodeling, still making a great italian food ...

Close to my job, I used to go with co-workers on Fridays chasing the italian food. Very good service, friendly, no delays, reasonable prices for the value. Definitely recommended for italian food lovers.

AMAZING DINNER

By Music305 |

Finally able to go - it was a Thursday night - about 8:00 PM - no waiting - expect to wait on a weekend. BUT - that wait is worth it!! I had the Amici Ziti and my hubby had the lasagna....both were amazing and the portions were large. The garlic rolls are soft and yummy - great drinks and cocktails. I had a bellinitini and it was pretty stiff. Nice ambiance & atmosphere - low lights - but not too dark / NYC style bricks accent the walls. Very Nice... Will be back for sure.

Great Service and food.

First time eating here. We visited with our young grandchildren and ordered veal francese, antipasto, pizza and fettucini alfredo. Everything was served hot, delicious and abundant. Servers were great and accommodating. Very family oriented. We will return!

Too cold to enjoy

By AWills |

The restaurant is too cold. The discomfort is chilling and the ambient temperature makes the food cold quickly. A few years ago I addressed this with the owner, maybe named Chris, and he did nothing to make my family want to return, and we never have. I'd like to return but it is too physically uncomfortable.

Fine dining and relaxing atmosphere

By mmat |

Every time I visit, I like to try a new dish. Their pasta is varied and delicious. They have the usual Chicken Marsala, Penne a la Vodka Sauce... etc. Their bread rolls with garlic are delicious as well as their desserts. Modern and inviting.

Good food and good service for a big party

By Bob33134 |

We came with a group of about 20 for a birthday party. We ordered a variety of entrees off the menu, had a few plates of calamari for appetizers, and went through about five bottles of Malbec. The food was very good, very tasty. Everyone ate well and had enough to take some home. The wait staff was very attentive. The owners were on site and came out to make sure all was well. And at the end -- the price was lower than we expected.
