This is simple to write, a total rip off. From the price of pizza, beer and wine, just mental. The staff, dealt with 2 girls and a fella. One of the girls at the welcome desk and she was on Instagram or Facebook didn't give 2 fiddlers, the other younger girl took the order and then disappeared into thin air until she arrived back with the bill adding her own tip of 20%. I was that tried I hadn't the energy to argue. As for the fellow his job was to stand over you, wait till your plate was empty and off to the dishwasher, basically your finished now get out. So I won't be going back and for anyone reading this there's alot more better and friendlier places TO eat in NY. If I could of given this a zero star rating I would of.

We were looking for a quick dinner and was looking for Pizza. We took the green salad with beet and goat cheese, pizza with pepperoni and penne carbonara. All was delicious. Most of guest looks like local. Service was great

Coal oven pizza! We dropped in for a quick bite….small pizza and Caesar salad. Both were excellent! Pizza was Crispy & Delicious! We’ll loved the flavors and the big full leafs of fresh basil! Sausage crumbles Were full of flavor too. Caesar salad was perfection! Properly dressed and loved the full slices of Parmesan cheese.

Three of us stopped in for lunch around noon on a Thursday. It was fairly empty but by the time we left around 1pm, it was packed, so I guess we got there at the perfect time. The food was just OK, not great but not terrible. I ordered the meatball hero and had to ask for mozzarella cheese to be added. It was just average, with way too much sauce for my liking and not enough meatballs. My wife had a panini which she enjoyed and our friend who we met there ordered a pasta dish. If I had to do it over again, I would have ordered a pasta dish. Maybe we’ll be back, but probably not.

Rolled in on a Monday about 3PM. Thought it was closed, didn’t see another diner. Walked in and they were open. Sat outside on a glorious fall day. Ordered the pizza with meatball and sun dried tomato. Pizza came out and looked fabulous. Had some full basil leaves on it. Passed the first tesr: first bite blistered the skin on the roof of my mouth. Crispy, semi-sweet tomato sauce and the basil was spot on. I pounded half of it in about 4 minutes but had to get going as Giants-Cowboys game was nearing and had to get going. Got to the hotel after a very disappointing Giants loss but happily drowned my sorrows in 1/2 of the remaining pizza cold. Took the sting out of that terrible loss. Woke up and finished the rest of the pie. Was it the best breakfast I ever had?…Possibly but definitely in the conversation. I highly recommend this place if you’re on the east side of town and Jonesing for some terrific pizza.

We dined at Angelo's twice whilst we were in New York. Great Staff and Great Food. Highly Recommended

Not an in expensive, but not over priced. I had an amazing salad, big enough 4 2 and the pizza with roasted peppers . Big enoght for 2 and very fresh. I was worried it would be 'touristy' but the service was awesome, food fresh and good.

The service was very friendly and efficient. Neither the chicken piccata or the eggplant parmesan were particularly good (though they were not bad either.

Great pizza, friendly staff in a very pleasing and welcoming environment. A nice find and one that we were happy with and would recommend.

This place was just across the road from our hotel and it was recommended to us. When we arrived it was very busy but were seated immediately, the waitress brought water straight away then returned after seeing that we had our menus down as we had decided what to eat. Had the calamari to start which was delicious. Then shared a large pizza which was very pleasant indeed. Just the right amount of toppings and sauce which tasted amazing. Very impressed with everything, not a cheap place to eat but in NY there aren’t any places that are. Can highly recommend and would definitely visit again

The moment we walked in someone was there to greet and seat us. Waiter came immediately to see if we wanted a drink. He gave us ample time to view the menu and decide. The. Restaurant was clean and decorated very nicely. All the staff was helpful and friendly. Food was excellent.

Angelo's was the first place we went in New York because it was right next to our hotel. It was such a great experience. The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome immediately. The pizza, pasta, and dessert were all excellent. We were in New York for 4 days, and Angelo's ended up being our first meal and last meal in town. We loved everything about it and we hope to be back someday.

We stopped by for a very early dinner after walking from the Met. It was busy, even at 4:30, but they seated us almost right away. Great, attentive service. Everything that we saw come out of the kitchen was plated beautifully and looked delicious. We ordered the insalada mista and the 17” pizza. Both were very good. We would recommend this place!

We went to this restaurant before the pandemic, and this was our first trip back to New York City. we were looking forward to this pizza. Something has happened! The pizza price has almost doubled, OK. But, the pizza was so disappointing. First of all no pizza should be served lukewarm! And secondly, the pizza should not taste like it’s been sitting around for a while. The service was good. The salad was good, but I came for the pizza….not good. Sad, but I bid farewell to Angelo’s!

My family had an incredible authentic Italian pizza near Times Square and the Theatre District. You can’t visit NYC and not get pizza. The crust is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. There are many great pizza places in NYC however my favorite is Angelo’s.

We had a wonderful brick oven pizza. The individual pizza was way more than my wife and I could eat. We should’ve just split one.

excellent customer service, excellent food and excellent facilities 10/10. 100% recommended to come as a family or as a couple.

We visited tonight as it was close by to our hotel. There was a small queue on arriving but we didn’t have to wait long. Service was friendly and generally prompt. We ordered family ravioli which was nice but they said they do it without a spicy sauce but when it arrived it was spicy. Pepperoni pizza was nice too. Reasonably priced for decent food but the restaurant was a little tired, was cold inside and toilets needed some attention. But other than that it was fine.

Great pizza- our 2nd visit! The pizza is delicious and the Caesar salad was great as well. Staff is very friendly and super accommodating to refill waters etc. This is definitely our “go to” pizza place while we’re visiting NYC!

Awesome awesome awesome. Living in Boston, I am spoiled with the north end and some amazing Italian food. But I must say that I had the best cheese pizza and a side order of meatballs I’ve ever had at Angelo’s. Restaurant was very welcoming, servers were excellent. It was busy, but even with that our order came out very quickly, piping hot, fresh ingredients, perfect food. Cannot wait to go back!

Had just arrived in NYC, and found Angelo's near our hotel. Staff was great and provided friendly service.

Hotel told us about this and a good suggestion. Felt like pizza prior to shows. We were in & out ready to head to the theaters. The meatballs were awesome & the pizza was a fresh crust taste. A return on next visit.

Great traditional NY pizza place. Super friendly service. Excellent pizza and great atmosphere. Very reasonable prices and just a block from Central Park. Totally recommend for a quick good quality lunch.

Best pizza we had in NYC. The sauce and crust is amazing. The service is average but they are really busy too. I recommend getting their early for lunch.

Quick service, we shared a large pepperoni pizza which was lovely and our daughter had spaghetti. Bolognese which got a thumbs up. The Cabernet was ok too.

What a great place!! Food is awesome. Pasta and pizza both my new favorite! George was awesome. Thanks for the service!!!

Fabulous Italian restaurant. This is a great place. Very busy (so read popular), but worth the queuing. Excellent food and service. Well worth a visit

Bolognese pasta with parmesano is a five star dish , also ordered a 13” pizza 👌👌 No picture taken 🤷♂️ Seating availability was right away even though they had several tables. Food came out fairly quick.

We loved this place so much we ate there twice in three days. The pizza is oven fired to perfection. The salads are filled with flavor.

I first discovered Angelo's on 57th in 2010. Every time I am in the city, I stop in and always order the pepperoni pizza with black olives. It's simple and delicious. My favorite spot for pizza in all of NYC.

The food was tasty, but the portions were small for Italian food. The service was mediocre, even though the restaurant was not crowded. You can find better places, even late at night.

We arrived in town in the late afternoon and had a craving for pizza. We wanted casual and found Angelo's on Yelp and saw that it was close by. When we arrived, we were promptly seated. The din8 g room downstairs is a little crowded, a little noisy and very busy, but all in a welcoming way. Our server came over quickly and offered is water and took our drink orders. When she returned with our drinks, we ordered salads (hubby the house salad and me the Caesar's salad) and a large sausage and onion pie. Our salads came quickly and we were shocked....they were both huge! We probably would've shared one had we realized that. BUT...it was okay...both of us loved our salads....both fresh and nicely dressed, we killed them. But of course, we still had a pizza to eat. That came shortly after and boy was it good. It was nice and thin and crispy on the bottom, the sauce had just a little sweetness and the sausage they used was outstanding, we couldn't finish the pizza (though we tried!) and our server offered us a box, but we declined since we were in a hotel. My husband had asked earlier in the meal if they had cannoli and they said yes. By the time we ate, he was too full to eat it. So before she brought the checked, she asked if he still wanted it. When he said he was too full, she talked him into taking one back to the hotel with him. She should be in sales! He took one to go and when he ate it later, he was very happy he had. From the service to the ambiance to the food, this was a hit....we would definitely return!

Had dinner before show. Fast service and congenial server. Pizza was a bit cold but good. Overall good experience but likely better pizza in NYC.

We try to eat here every time we are in NYC. While there are a lot of pizza and pasta restaurants, Angelo's always delivers a perfect meal with outstanding service! The atmosphere is a fun vibe since it's always so busy, (it can get kind of loud) but it's very lively! While we have never had the pizza (it looks superb when it's delivered to the tables around us), the pasta dishes have always been delicious! Even my very picky niece loved the fettuccine alfredo here! And we always find the prices to be great, especially for NYC!

We wanted somewhere close to the theatre but also tasty and this was the perfect place. We reserved a table online. We shared a pizza and salad and both were delicious. The pizza was nice and crispy with good amount of toppings. Really flavoursome. Busy place, I recommend reserving a table

This was our favorite meal while we were in NYC! They have Joe’s Pizza beat my a mile, IMO. Delicious pizza and great service!

We normally don't make reservations for our arrival night and jus t"find something." We have not been to Angelo's in a while so decided to return. Good decision! We were seated immediately and our server Vilma greeted us quickly. In the past we have had pizza which was consistantly good. This evening we split the Chicken Marsala which was delicious. Vilma was very pleasant, attentive and knowledgable. It was a very nice evening and we look forward to returning.

Excellent restaurant with very nice menu. The food is well prepared, fresh , ample portions, very tasty and fresh. Service is great. The pizza is delicious

Good pizza, nice place upstairs, prices are honest and the place is clean. You can take large pizzas and, if you do it in several families like us, it's convenient because they bring them on a double cutting board with shelves.

A tour guide recommended Angelo's to us. It's a great restaurant. We walked in and did not need a reservation. They have seating on the first and second floor. The food was delicious and fresh tasting. We had Linguini with sea food and the Branzino fish with spinach. Our appetizer was Angelo's chips which are eggplant and zucchini chips that come with a dipping sauce. I never had anything like them. They were very tasty! I could eat a basket full of them. Our waitress was Velma. She was fabulous. She answered all our questions and very pleasant to talk to. All the staff was good. They were quick to refill our water and take away plates no longer needed. Their Tiramisu was also great and homemade. There were many orders for their pizza. It looked and smelled delicious. Too bad I was too stuffed to try some,

Authentic Italian food. Very friendly service and welcoming. Food arrived within a reasonable time. We were sat near the kitchen and could see the pizzas being freshly prepared. Lovely dinner of pizza and pasta - if you like garlic then you’ll love the pasta with clams. So yummy!

During a Christmas week visit we decided we wanted pizza for lunch. We selected Angelo’s on 57th Street, near Central Park. There was a very long line but we persevered and 7 of us were seated. The service very prompt courteous and helpful. The salads and pizzas were very good. Definitely a good place for casual meals with enjoyable staff

We stopped in after seeing The Lion King . Had heard of it many times watching David Letterman show - so why not! Was so so good! We got Pizza, Lazangna and Spaghetti - so good. Staff was great ! Prices were very good - will go again. Nice family place

Absolutely lovely spot! Gracious service, fair pricing, excellent food. We had a small pre wedding party in the upstairs room. They could not have been more accommodating. No hassle! The pizza, thin crust, reminded me of the “slices” we used to get in the Bronx. To a person the staff is hospitable and welcoming. My son, the groom, wanted a pizza party….we struck a very lucky choice! Thank you!

Very close to our hotel in Times Square is a 1970s pizzeria with a few restaurant dishes. Pizza can be ordered small or large, it's not bad but I honestly don't understand all these references to Italy when there is no one in here Italian. We also had a caprese and a mixed appetizer Angelo's. Account : 2 large margherite pizzas, a caprese, a mixed Angelo's appetizer (a 1950s thing), 2 San Pellegrino , 1 coke 0 and 2 coffee € 130 plus 20% tax 156 euro

We got a 17” pizza and thought we would have some left over for two people. It was so good we ate it all. The price was very reasonable and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very enjoyable.

Our last night in town after 4 days and we were winding down and this place was literally right across the street from our hotel! Really tasty pizza, good cold beer and good NYC ambiance. Nice casual way to end our trip with some authentic NYC pizza.

Located next to our hotel, we saw that it had good reviews and therefore, we tested The starters are original and very good The pizzas are xxl, to share Good address

The service is good and the staff are friendly. The pizzas are delicious and big enough. We loved the spaghetti and their thin slice pizzas. No free refills on drinks though.

Just a jewel - the pizza is wonderful - crust is dreamy - toppings are varied just need to put more of them on the pie - service is excellent - the restaurant area is very clean and staff seem to care about their diners - best thing is their pasta and salads and deserts - it’s a gem

My family and I ate here twice during a recent stay at The Plaza which is a short walk away. The kids absolutely had to have pizza while in NYC and I found this place on Google. The food was delicious and the service was great. Don't be surprised if you have to queue to get in though - I never mind as that is always a good sign that the food is good!

During the crazy, fun NYC holiday season, we came back to Angelo’s. Every person on the staff does all they can to handle the crowds with warm personal attention. Always smiling, always friendly. The pizza is SUPERB. And we had one of the best salads ever. We canceled a reservation at a high-end restaurant because we just weren’t in the mood and circled back to Angelo’s. Believe me, this was a much better choice. Thank you to all the staff at Angelo’s.

Good service with prompt ordering and quick delivery of food. We got family style and portions were excellent.

Great place to eat off the beaten path. We ordered pizza and it was excellent! So glad we had this restaurant recommended to us. The crust was nice and crispy. The sauce had the best flavor. The wait staff was very attentive and kept our glasses full. Definitely recommend!

Had a nice lunch here recently as part of a large group. A good variety on the meal however all of us went for the pizza, which was recommended by a local resident. The food was great, small individual pizzas and larger sharing pizzas (18') came quickly. Fresh, hot and tasty it was just what was required. Staff were quick to please and we had a great time. Recommended.

One of the pizza landmarks of NY.!! and worth every bit of its reputation. Fresh ingredients masterfully prepared and served efficiently by courteous staff. A MUST VISIT for pizza lovers.

We have been here before, but missed it last time in NYC due to construction. It's not hard to miss because it is narrow and quite small, though it does have two floors. As usual, the food and service were excellent. We ate here twice this week. Because the eggplant parm was so delicious, we ordered it both nights. Prices are reasonable. The place is full of locals, young and old. Many come for the pizza, but their other Italian food is just as good!

I love pizza! Nobody comes close to Angelo’s. The best… I think in the world. I have been coming for 20 years. Every time, it is extraordinary. I have to go multiple times each trip. My favorite, pepperoni and garlic… yes garlic… full cloves. Once you come here, you will never go anywhere else for pizza.

Warm and cozy spot near central park. The margherita pizza is the very best! Attentive and friendly service.

Good pizza, nice atmosphere and the food arrived very quickly. Really good vibe and would definitely come again next time I’m in town.

Nice authentic Italian restaurant which we used both sitting in and taking out on our visits. The welcome wasn’t effusive and the staff not over smiley but efficient enough. The food was very good though, both the pasta dishes and the pizza. Prices were reasonable considering the unbelievable prices in done NY restaurants.

Cozy place, friendly and well-organised staff and good pizza. Pizza cooked very well, soft dough, they have a basic pizza in two sizes (the large one is enough for 4 people if you are not hungry) then for a fee you can choose the topping. The only thing I would improve is the mozzarella on the pizza (it could still be improved) We, coming from a busy lunch, had two appetizers: super soft meatballs with sauce and a portion of arancini (in reality they were mini arancini, I would change the type of rice) but still tasty and good, the dimensions are those of Ascoli olives. To drink two Coca-Colas, 2 bottles of San Pellegrino and a non-alcoholic beer, everything arrived quickly, but they didn't rush us (it often happens when they serve free tables) the waiter was attentive and professional, pleasant enough, the others knew too their thing. So congratulations to everyone! Looking around the tables I only saw satisfied people and even though the place was crowded the atmosphere was very pleasant accompanied by background music. Furthermore, it is the first time that in New York we eat for less than 200 dollars (for pizza) so a nice alternative, pizza in the center of the table is a strategic choice for them too because it takes up less space, and is not cumbersome either in serving or in eating. Well done, congratulations. I will come back to try the pasta, ps we paid 96 dollars

Pizza was terrible - ordered a large pepperoni, crust was over cooked, almost burnt….see pic below. Bottom crust was hard to chew it was so overdone. Service staff overworked, server just too rushed waiting other tables. Sad to see.

Finished walking central park and wanted to experience New York pizza. Google searched and found this place on our route so went in to try it. Six people in our group were seated immediately and cold beers were in hand within minutes! We split a large pizza and "family sized" plate of spaghetti. The pizza was good and spaghetti was outstanding! We left this restaurant full and very satisfied.

If there is a better pizza place in NYC, I haven't found it...but that doesn't mean I'll quite searching. Everything about the pie was exceptional, there isn't much else to say, just looking at the picture tells you everything. Great location right by Central park, and good prices for the quality.

We had a very early lunch here today - on a cold and windy day in Manhattan. We were served a pizza that had hardly been in the oven - it was not cooked adequately, more or less raw...... After having finished we felt uncomfortable and we can only hope that we have not been food-poisoned, the pizza made us feel sick. It seems for us incredible that this restaurant has been rated relatively high.

Really enjoyed the pizza and meatballs! Well worth a visit for the food but.... Let down by poor service - front of house probably still in high school & more interested in their phones than customer service and seemed to be laughing at customers between themselves (we sat downstairs & watched them throughout our meal) And our waiter was just rude! Service is included at higher rate - no prob with that in this part of NYC despite comments above - but watch out as then try & charge further tip at point of payment. Just play it straight & don’t treat customers as fools!!! Would return for food, but with lower expectations on service. Could be so much better....

Perfect stop uptown to have some pizza after a show. Ordered the large Margherita pizza for the two of us and enjoyed the pizza and the restaurant. The crust was thin and crispy, but not dried out. The sauce was very good, just the right amount of spice, and the cheese was fresh. Overall, the pizza was great and our service was such a nice guy and never pushy. Sometimes it can be a challenge to find tasty pizza in NYC at an Italian restaurant, this was decent pizza. Worth a stop after a show for a quick meal.

bad service. we had asked for the appetizer first and then the main course but they brought everything together. bad food. the pizza does not even remotely resemble the Italian one. rude waiters

The best margherita pizza and pasta fagioli I’ve ever had in my life. Would love to come back the next time I’m here.

our go to pizza place when we are in the city. This time for lunch we had the meatball sandwich that was just incredible. This place never disappoints.. All the pizzas and spectacular and there is a reason this place is busy around the clock. Servers are friendly and efficient and we can't wait to return

Looked fir a spot to eat lunch near the broadway theatre, this was it. Next block on broadway from the broadway theater it offered a possibility of an Americanized Italian meal. I chose grilled chicken plate. The chicken was fine but the mushrooms were vinegered and the salad was limp. They gave pasta and pizza and a large area upstairs. so food was average as was just about everything else but it has a good location and it is a sit down. They apparently do a large takeout business as I observed a lot of pick ups . Ok in a pinch

Fantastic pizza and penne bolognese. Ordered a large pizza with pepperoni, and although I did not personally like the type of pepperoni they used, the pizza itself (with pep removed) was nothing short of fantastic. You need to visit this place if you are nearby and want some high quality pizza. The bolognese as well was delicious and zesty like they describe it, and a fairly large portion indeed. Only downsides of the place is that it doesn’t do slices, which would have been easier for us since we werent too hungry, and that it is more pricey than the cheaper pizza places. But, it is very much worth it!

This was a great find for lunch on the way to Central Park and the museums. We stumbled upon it and were happy we did. 15 minute wait and we were seated and happy! Had a great half pepperoni, half margarita pizza, the best of both worlds! Pricing was reasonable and service was friendly!

We were just there on Tuesday and the food was excellent. My husband said it was the best pizza ever!

Excellent, authentic pizza! Our family totally loved our dinner at Angelo's. The pizza was delicious, so full of flavor, with a bit of charring here and there, adding to the taste. I really liked the crumbled sausage on one of our pizzas too. For dessert, the tartufo was a very good pick, and the decaf cappuccino topped off the meal. The wait wasn't too long either, even though the place seemed packed.

I went with my mom to have lunch. The food and service was great!!! The food was amazing!!! Definitely coming back to eat, when I visit NY again.

Had a few drinks and pizza here. Pizza was excellent. Service was good. Our only recommendation is I would prefer if they had some signature pizzas. All the pizzas were made to order which was great but would like the option to try some of their favourites.

Huge pizzas at Angelo’s, on 57th Street in New York so much so that we ate two in four and fed ourselves! Enjoy one with sausage and one with ham, good! With beers and soft drinks, in addition to service, you are charged $26 per person.

The ravioli was salty and it served 5-6” for $50 two light eaters finish it. The lasagna was good but $22. Too many great place to eat I wouldn’t eat here again

Holy moly, great pizza. We had a meatball and roasted pepper pie and it was outrageously good. So fresh and the crust was heaven. Service was quick and friendly. We also had the beet and goat cheese salad and loved it. Would definitely return.

We loved this place was a bit off the main drag where foot traffic tends to bottleneck. The place is adorable and just what you’d hope for your NYC pizza experience. We were able to leave our stroller up front and were provided a high chair for our daughter. I didn’t get a picture of the pizza but it didn’t disappoint. The appetizer and pizza came up much quicker than expected so that was a pleasant surprise. The pizza is certainly priced high but were able to share the small and had some to take home even. We had to leave out quickly because our daughter started getting fussy, the staff were super quick to pack us up and get us our check which we greatly appreciated.

Always good pizza. Meatball calzone did not have enough meat in it. Very cheesy. A bit rushed but it was a Saturday night so understandable

We're looking for a restaurant one night out of Chicago, the musical. We happen to come across the Ed Sullivan Theatre, where Angelo’s Pizza is located. One room upstairs, another on the appointment, facing the oven and pizzaiolo in full work. Two nice pizzas, one white and one red. Efficient and discreet service. A big 70€ at 2.

We really wanted to serve authentic New York pizza after our wedding in nearby Central Park. We chose Angelo’s on 57th Street and could not have been more pleased! To give our guests options, we served appetizers, salads, pizza, pasta and dessert. (Hey, I’m Italian/Sicilian and my husband is part Italian. Food is love.) The portions, served family style, were enormous! We only wished we lived closer so we could take the leftovers home. We would have meals for months! (Luckily, we were able to send some food home with guests who were local.) People raved about the food, and the service was top-notch. It’s not easy to wait on a crowd of 40+ on a bustling Saturday night, but they did it! One of our young guests had just had a birthday and Angelo’s kindly put a birthday candle in one of the desserts so we could sing “Happy Birthday.” It was a special night, and one that we won’t forget.

Duplex located between Columbus Circle and Times Square. Roman pizza specialties with many flavors. Acceptable prices for being in midtown Manhattan. The pizza was served in a short time, the staff is quick and of few words. Very clean and tidy the place. It struck me that pizza can be of various sizes and is served already cut on raised trays from the table to facilitate the sharing of pieces. Very nice place overall. I recommend it but do not think you speak Italian with the waiter!

Pizza was good but I didn’t feel particularly comfortable or at ease dining here. My server Jesus seemed unhappy that I had only order a pizza and didn’t want wine (presumably because he wanted the final bill to be higher). He was upset when I ask for the change from $40 for a $25 total bill and presented me with an booklet full of other peoples receipts showing the tips they left along with my change - I was always going to leave a tip just not a 60% tip! Found this passive aggressive attitude rude and completely different to other restaurants I have visited here. I would recommend finding another friendlier place without the attitude for dinner.

Honestly, probably the best pizza I’ve ever had. I got 1/2 pepperoni & mushroom and 1/2 margherita and both were exceptional. The pepperoni was amazing. The crust is perfect. Highly recommend this place.

I love chicken Marsala and this was the best I’ve had. The dish was loaded with mushrooms and the sauce was fantastic. To top it all off the food came out super quick! Not food related at all, but the amount of deliver and take out orders they processed was incredible. They had an assembly line just to pack orders!

We visited Angelo’s pizza at the end of December 2022. After a short wait we got a table (it was mid-afternoon, definitely a busy spot)! We shared a large cheese pizza (2 adults) = it was one of the best pizza we ever had! Typical New York style pizza, 100% recommend!!!

One Bite app gives this a 9.3 (if you visit NY, download One Bite. He goes around NY rating pizza places, highly recommend!) We give it a 10/10! Great service. Nice sit down area. Pizza is AMAZING! We had a 13 inch pepperoni & sausage & ate the entire pizza. Cannoli for dessert & we were practically licking the plate.

Terrible. On top of tourist trap, had to beg to hostess who had to beg to manager to seat us even though we arrived at 9:35 before 10:00 pm close. Not worth it.

Rude people that work here and the pizza isn’t so good. The waitress was too gentle at the beginning and then so rude

A well loved restaurant! There were many regulars there. There were several large parties and smaller groups that had met there for breakfast. It’s well staffed with experienced people.

The pizza was good. We split as 13” white pizza with mushrooms and sundried tomatoes. It was really tasty. The bottom crust was crispy without being too crispy and the sides were burnt. The Pepsi was sweet! The waitress….guess we were disrupting her, I don’t know. We received more assistance from the bus “boy” actually a man, than the waitress, so much so he got a tip! Hope you enjoy the pizza!

Great grilled octopus appetizer. However pizza, which took 40 minutes to arrive came cold. Ate a bit and finally tracked down a waiter to complain was told nothing he could do. Spoke with manager who refused to reheat the pizza. Proper answer would have to cook us a new hot one but she refused because we ate some of the cold one. Explained we had to eat some of it to find out it was cold and we’re hungry as well because of the long wait for it. She was rude and unhelpful. This place caters to tourists who will eat once and never be back. Pizza ,cold as it was, was also unremarkable and nothing special. Those who rave about it have never eaten a real New York pizza. Horrible customer service

Went on a Saturday night 15 minutes after last seating and were seated anyway. So thankful about that. Had the sausage and pepperoni pizza and it may have been the BEST pizza I’ve had anywhere. Good char on the perfect crust. Great “cupped” pepperoni. Right amount of mozzarella and tasty tangy sauce. If in NYC do not miss this place! Great staff and order came quickly. Even tho we came in late, they did not rush us out. Will definitely go back when we return.

We ordered a pizza to go, as we were staying nearby. Service was quick and efficient. The pizza was a bit soggy; certainly not near the best we’ve had.

Pizza was great! We ordered a sausage pizza and a regular cheese pizza and it was delicious. Would definitely come again.

Pizzas were lovely, service a little slow and hectic. It took a while to be seated and for our order to be taken but the food when it arrived was lovely. Make no mistake, they want you in and out but food was good value for money.

My hotel recommended this restaurant and it was great. The staff were great and the pizza was delicious. I would definitely visit again.

This was a great place to eat. Nothing bad to say. Food was very pleasant. The pizza we had was very good. Was it the best in NYC, that's subjective. Pizza crust was exceptional. Marina sauce was top-notch. Overall a great place to eat. I would eat at this establishment again without any hesitation.

Amazing pizza and pasta , if you’re near here swing by and see them for fast friendly service in a cosy restaurant setting. Try the ravioli in pomodoro sauce .... awesome. Good price too 👍🏻

Went there for dinner as we were to lazy to walk too far. We shared the square pizza but did not manage to eat it all. Pizza was delicious! We really enjoyed it. Service was friendly and attentive!

Here for late lunch so it wasn’t busy. Excellent food and service. Cloth tablecloth and napkins gave it an upscale feel. Had a salad and pizza. Only drawback is no refills on soft drinks.

Angelo’s pizza is a very nice restaurant on 57th and 6th. Great food and good service. Pasta is very tasty. Nice ambiance. Reasonable price.

We were sat immediately, service was excellent, pizza was the best we had while in New York. We visited twice during our trip. Definitely a must stop

Had a great family dinner here over the Christmas holiday. The place was packed and check in was a bit chaotic but once seated the service was friendly and efficient. The food - especially the pizza - was excellent. Definitely recommend!

The Angelos Pizza on 57th street is right next to the Quin hotel which we stayed. Looking from the restaurant outside, you feel that this is a quick meal stop. Alas! It is a home style restaurant, the food and variety are absolutely superb comparing with other italian restaurants around town. Pizzas and side dishes are all very delicious and excellent prices. Definitely will visit again!

Ok so my wife and friends and I from California are visiting New York befor our New England cruise up the east coast and staying at nearby hotel near Times Square we decided to visit Angelos in the recommendation from the concierge at the Sheraton. Expecting a delicious authentic Italian pizza experience we ordered a Margherita pizza which basically meant mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, thin crust pizza, and we added garlic and added pepperoni. In addition we had a Caesar salad before hand. The service was decent and fairly friendly and the ambience was just fine. The food was pretty good (nothing spectacular but fine). I was a little dissaponted with the bill believing I was being charged a little less for the house Chianti (but told that was the “happy hour” price and mine was not... apparently I misunderstood but so did one of our friends who was also charge more for his beer than he thought.... Also was charged a little more for the added meat than we thought we were going to be as well)... so, overall I give the general experience a C+

My husband and I just had our rehearsal dinner at Angelo's. It was the first place we went on a date in NYC and is very sentimental to use. The food, as always, was amazing. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Nick and his staff were super accommodating and patient, and our families cannot thank them enough!

I love this place- I have been coming here for over 13 years with my dad every time we come visit NYC for the Holidays. Its our go to place. The pizza is amazing- everyone is nice- the sauce is very light and pizza crust is think which I love- its not heavy and cheese falling all over the place like some places- love love this place ! I take all my friends here when we visit and they all love it.

Came in for the 1 bite challenge. The cheese pizza stood up like a soldier! Perfect sauce on the crust... the cheese was just right. Not too greasy and booming flavors, this pizza is a 9.0 on the first bite... but ended up a solid 9.3. The White Cheese pizza come in at a solid 8.9. If you want some of the best pizza in the US, you gotta eat at Angelo’s Coal Oven Pizzeria!

Delicious coal fire pizza and fresh , tasty salad. Friendly, attentive staff . Good location across from Carnegie hall and not far from 5th avenue . Highly recommend

Three of us arrived at about 8.50pm and in retrospect the restaurant probably did not want to serve us, but they happily seated us. We only ordered a main course and some drinks. The first two dishes turned up more than 5 minutes before my food. When it did arrive my food was hot on the top but cold in the middle. Because the others were nearly finished with their food by the time I managed to get the attention of a waiter I told him not to bother to bring me another dish. We did not receive any apology at all - not even a ‘sorry’. Another couple who turned up at about the same time as us seem to have experienced the same problem as the lady had to get up from her table and take her plate of food to one of the waiting staff to raise a query. Seriously poor service, although the two dishes that were edible were good food.

Hubby and I had a hankering for pizza and it was already late - so when we saw Angelo's was still open we ducked in. It's a bit pricey but the pizzas are really tasty - not sure how their cheese is different but it's great. Loved the thin and crispy crust. Took some home and it was just as good warmed up in the oven for a few minutes the next day.

Friendly staff, good food, the Carbonara was delicious and the Lasagna very tasty. I recommend Angelo’s to everyone, one of our favourite restaurants in NYC

Delicious food and great service. Very happy we found this restaurant. The pizza is the best we’ve ever had and the pasta Norma was very tasty!

Amazing food, large portions to share. 3 of us happily shared a large pizza and salad for our lunch. Walked in right after a walk in Central Park. Seated quickly, good service.

Service is what you expected in the area. Traditional pizza with few vegan options. We order a pizza 1/2 w/o cheese and the vegetable to be added. They charge the vegetable as they add to the whole pizza. They already add 18% to the bill. When your card slip arrives they put again 3 options for tipping base on the total already with the tips. That lack of honesty really kills a business. I'm not returning and don't recommend it to anyone.

Good Italian pizza served here and if you order a salad be ready for a serving big enough for 2. Beer, wine and cocktails served here. Good service and a cozy atmosphere.

Party of 9 and they moved and rearranged tables to squeeze us all in right away. Pizza was delicious. Service was good and the atmosphere was right. Definitely would recommend.

Driving around the city we stopped for a pizza in this nice place we took a pizza margherita dough good seasoning could do better the cheese on top was not mozzarella but I do not know what in general eatable.

We ordered 5 simple pizzas , calling them pizzas is an offense ! Very high cost for the poor Quality of food we were given! I always ate there in the area much better slices of pizza and spending much less!

Was looking for good pizza near central park, pulled up my ONE Bite app and saw Angelo's was scored a 9.3 so that was our choice. Split a large pie and it was absolutely fantastic. Cooked thin crust perfect crisp and fresh toppings. Full Bar as well which was a surprise for a pizzeria. Really enjoyed it!

Perfect pizza, deliciously fresh salad and outstanding service! Hands down some of the best pizza we have ever had. Simple ingredients perfectly executed!

Very nice pizza but w on’t go back due to dishonest restaurant practices- adding hidden away tip onto bill and then presented with a credit card slip with 3 additional tip suggestions! Well done you got an extra $7 tonight won’t get another penny from me again. Stuff like this kills restaurants

Went here after a concert and the pizza was the best I have ever had. We had half cheese and half pepperoni and half meatball. Can't wait to return very soon.

We had two pleasant meals at Angelo's. The decor is nothing to write home about, but the food was fine, and service was very good. On one occasion, my wife and I split a small pizza and each had a "small" salad (which were actually quite large), plus a good bottle of Chianti. The second time we were in a hurry, so we each had a delicious bowl of soup and glass of wine. Staff were very friendly and efficient both times. We would definitely return to this restaurant.

We visit at least once everytime we come to NYC and are never disappointed. Our waiter George was very nice and helpful and the pizza is spectacular and a good value. Also the portions are huge so we split a salad and soup and the cannolli made in house was rich and creamy and spot on!

Good pizza. Excellent service. Would return if I am in NY again. They even let us use the bathroom before they opened which we appreciated.

Best pizza and appetizers!! Came here in 2017 and went back this year. Love the caprese and a Margherita pizza!!

Excellent food, decent prices, great location! Would definitely return. The meatballs in particular were great. The pizza was also excellent.

Pizza delicious and fresh. Casual atmosphere for a family to grab a nice dinner. The service was excellent and attentive

Great coal fired pizza!! Crisp crust, great sauce and fresh mozzarella and ricotta! Cute place in a great area. Good, fast service.

Angelo’s, WOW!!! YES!!! GREAT thin crust NY pizza. Even at 11pm on a Friday night, fast service (10 minutes) from phone call to pick up, and only a 2 minute run back to our favorite NYC Hotel, the Park Lane Hotel. Tastes great, very filling, fresh uncut basil makes it perfect. We had half pepperoni and half meatball (a.k.a. hamburger, beef). We added some Parmesan.

Angelos Pizza is without any doubt the best place in Manhattan to eat an Original New York style Pizza. The ambiance, the location and of course the Pizza’s are just the best. We eat lunch here while on a biz trip to NYK and we will be back at Angelo’s for sure.

Just a few minutes from the buzz and chaos of Times Square is this fantastic Italian. We visited mid week as a family of five. Service was really good; friendly, attentive and speedy. There was a good choice of food, from pizzas to traditional Italian favourites. We ordered a number of pizzas which were generously topped with perfect bases and crusts. Really couldn’t fault the place. Great food. Excellent service. Good price.

What excellent service at Angelo's. I brought 31 ladies here for a big pizza dinner. The manager helped me set up a group menu and then he and his staff executed the dinner perfectly. We arrived to find our tables ready and pizzas continually flowed to us until we were stuffed. Delicious pizza, fun atmosphere, and great service. Thanks Angelo's!

Fast quick service. Good selection of beer, wine, cocktails. Staff was friendly. Food was above average. Had chicken parmesan, salads pizza. Excellent. Was referred here by my New York friends. Highly recommend.

Went here because it was close to the hotel and we like Italian food. It was a mistake. The two dishes we had, chicken marsala and chicken parmigiana were large portions but tasteless and stodgy. They should think about quality rather than quantity. The service was ok but not to a high standard . The restaurant had zero ambiance reduced to a negative ambiance by the intrusive disco music. Not recommended but May be better if you eat outside and order pizza.

The pizza we eate was fantastic. The service efficient and nice. Only the sound in the restaurant was so load that we had hard to have conversation

Wow. Just wow. The pizza is hands down the best pizza I have ever had in my life. If you think Joe’s Pizza is good - that tastes like Sbarro in the mall food court compared to Angelo’s. I will come here every time I’m in NYC. You cannot skip out on this. Service is top notch as well! Pizza comes out fast and piping hot.

Got seated immediately, waitress took our order, brought drinks, and droppped/spilled milk and pepsi all over the table. Good thing my wine wasn't one but my older son got soaked with a milk/pepsi solution. No compensation offered by the restaurant. Soup was good. Salad was too. Pizza was honestly just okay. Good when red pepper flakes are sprinkled on it. Pizzeria Serio in Chicago is better, and they're not in New York. Maybe I shouldn't hold New York pizza to a higher standard for New York pizza than Chicago, but I do. It's New York. And it was just okay. If you're in the area and really want pizza, it can fit that need, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

I used to work nearby (2003-2009) and ordered their cheese pizza for lunch many times. It was super delicious and a big hit in our office. I took my family there every time we visited NYC and again it was a big favorite of ours. BUT I went there yesterday (6/8/23) after many years, the sauce has changed, a bit sweet, a bit too salty, didn't taste the same. We also ordered a fettuccini alfredo which was cold and bland. I don't know what happened to this place. Sad to bid farewell to Angelo's. I guess we all have to move on.

Very good food and great service, server was kind and was seated quickly. Kind waiter and she gave us a free extra glass of wine.

Went for an early dinner on nye tonight. Place was really busy- both take out and in house. They sat us with 2-3 min wait, and we had excellent service. Pizza and salad were great. Well done!

We haven’t tried that restaurant for a few years and glad that we did 2 nights ago. The cooking and the service improved. We ordered only a few things and everything came out yummy. Services were attentive but not bothering. The pastas were very flavorful as the salad was fresh and appetizing. Most people ordered pizza there and we will try next time. The drinks options are not the widest but this is a local casual Italian restaurant and not a romantic hang out place so it’s understandable. We will go back a few times a year.

We had to queue but it moved quickly. We visited on a Saturday night so obviously busy but quick service. We shared a large pizza and that was plenty to eat. I thought the prices were ok for NY.

Unbelievably tasty and fresh. Crunchy crust, cheese was fresh and flavorful. Sauce was not sweet, but the overall blend of taste, crust, cheese, absolutely delicious. Best pizza I’ve ever had.

Actually we went here twice because the first visit was excellent and we wanted to try their pizza. First visit was Chicken Milanese and Chicken Marsala. Milanese was delicious but a little overcooked, it did not stop us from finishing every last bit - LOL. The Chicken Marsala was a good as could be .... plenty of mushrooms, plenty of flavor and oh so moist high quality chicken. The second visit was devoted to a Pepper and Onion pizza --- just the right amount of char - a little here and there but not "burned". Tomato sauce was perfect - fresh, but not raw, cooked, but not pasty. Prices were reasonable and staff hustled ! We will return and so should you.

Amazing pizza in a friendly restaurant. We shared two of the pizza pies between 4 adults and they were amazing!! If I was back in NYC I would definitley come back here. The service was quick and the staff were friendly.

The place is beautiful and reminds me of old-school, authentic pizzerias with a modern twist. Although the pizza is pricey, it's worth your money! I cannot comment much on the service because we dined out. My group ordered pizza and walked to central park to enjoy the summer weather. Needless to say, the pizzeria is located in a very convenient, touristy location. You can decide to dine in or take out and enjoy a nice walk or central park. My friends and I ordered the margarita pizza with pepperoni and chicken. The portion was great as the slices were big NYC slices. The pizza was not overbearingly drenched with sauce. The margarita sauce is a perfect balance of sweet and tangy. They are very generous on the toppings. The dough is thin enough to not be too doughy yet thick enough to not feel burnt or too crispy. to the bite. A perfect NY slice!

We were staying across the road and, not wanting to go far, decided to give this place a try. Glad we did! Hadn’t booked but they squeezed us in on a fairly busy night. Pizza was easily enough for the two of us to share and washed down with beer was just the trick. Staff were efficient and polite. Would be happy for a return visit.

I am wholly perplexed by Angelo's - it is not NY style nor is it Italian style pizza (from any corner of Italy). The issues are: - Thick, dry crust that is a cross between stale bread and cardboard - Bland sauce - sparse toppings Tried 2 pizzas, one regular, one white. neither edible. The output is simply a shocking level of horrible. If Angelo is an actual person, he has no business being in a kitchen making making pizza. A $1 NY slice is better. Domino's is better. Frozen pizza is better. The reviews here claiming the Pizza is the "best" are deluded or lies - it is not the best, nor good, nor acceptable. On a positive note, the staff were relatively pleasant

The pizza had a wonderful aroma. Hot, right out of the oven, we had to wait for it to cool. The dough, cheese, spices/herbs, tomatoes and toppings were all cooked perfectly. It was a delicious pizza. The chocolate mousse dessert was quite good, too. Our server, Agnieszka, was very attentive and thoughtful. She gave us outstanding service. We really enjoyed our late night dinner at Angelo's Pizza.

17” inch old school round pizza with Mushrooms, mixed peppers and onions. Free Tibet parade delayed our arrival by 25 minutes. Annoying. Our mayor has lost the plot. It’s a Sunday. Let the people know you are shutting down all the avenues. Stupid stupid stupid. Pizza at least was solid. El Presidente is accurate on his score.

Horrible. La mala atención no supera a la pésima pizza. Horrible. The poor service doesn't outweigh the terrible pizza.

Some of the best pasta (spicy vodka penne and the bolognese) we've tasted! Excellent service. Good pizza. Loved the vibe and atmosphere. Very reasonably priced. Even served fresh bread. The salad was tasty (we had the one with artichoke hearts in it). All three of us were so pleased. What a pleasant surprise. We'll make this a regular spot to visit when in NYC!

I am a Brooklynite and I’ve eaten pizza all around New York and the world. I had it straight up — no toppings. Angelo’s is among the very best I’ve ever had. The sauce and cheese are perfect. The crust is quick baked Neapolitan style. It is thin and crisp and delicious. If you are in Manhattan, it is worth a trip to this outstanding pizza place.

Beautiful service, pizza and pasta. Had Margarita for oke of kids and plain pasta with sauce for other. I had large pizza woth pepperoni and meatballs and my wife had caeser salad with chicken. Big portions and staff were really nice and attentive

By far the most delicious Italian food in NY. Me and my partner walked in last min as the place was located near the hotel we were staying at. We were pleasantly surprised by the warming staff and interior, even though the restaurant was pretty full the staff went out of their way to squeeze us in which was really appreciated. We sat by the bar so we got to watch all the cocktails being made whilst eating our food which was very pleasant. The bartender was very polite and friendly and he also went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after. We ordered and antipasti board and a spicy penne vodka pasta which I must say was absolutely incredible! Would definately eat there again!

BEST PIZZA I adored this pizza. I’ve never had pizza this good. This was my first try of NYC pizza. It was also the best slice I had during my visit. We just got pepperoni. It came out hot and wonderful. Good service.

This is a good spot for a crispy thin crust style pizza. The crust and bottom can be a little charred, so if you prefer a more golden and chewey crust, this may not be a good fit. The fried calamari was delicious. Nice large rings with spicy tomato sauce. A good dinner with the kids.
Great pizza/food; fast service!
The food was excellent; old school pizza was crispy with nice sauce. Arugula Salad was great! Super fast service too so we could make a concert at Carnegie. Thanks!!
