Starting with the delicious bread and dipping oil you can make a meal out of that. We ordered the Mulberry Street style fried calamari and it didn’t disappoint with the hot peppers. For entrees we had the spicy rigatoni alla vodka and the chicken parm alla vodka. The food was excellent and we will be back.

This place certainly lives up to the hype! Saw it on IG, then Tik Tok, at this point I knew it was meant to be! Ok, so this place always seems like there’s a moment that it’s slow. You certainly need reservations. My only con is the hostess, wasn’t very friendly or clear when she spoke with us. We had 7:30 reservations. We arrived at 7:28, and still had one person in our party. They told us to step to the side until they showed up. At 7:29- our final person in our party of 3 arrived. We had to then wait -17 minutes. Finally we sat, and the fun began. Our waiter, Lirim took a moment to tend to us. He had a lot of tables, but once he was free to wait on our table, he was amazing, funny and informative. Since it was our first time there- he led us through the menu- and everything was a hit. The mulberry street style calamari- outstanding!!!! Addictive! The spicy rigatoni alla vidka- i can eat this all day, everyday. Amazing! Meatballs- tender and tasty! He recommended the Luca Brasi - it was perfect!!! The house bread- was a little hard, didn’t taste fresh, but the dip was delicious. Chicken alla vodka- crazy good!! Baked Clams- worth every bite! Flavorful! This is a definite spot to come to often as a local or when visiting!

Fabulous cuisine, beautiful atmosphere and incredible service. Felt like family! Very welcoming and accommodating.

Really amazing old style Italian joint. Portions are humongous so perfect for sharing. No nonsense and friendly service. The Caesar salad is perfect - so fresh and the sauce is not heavy at all. The chicken parmigiana is juicy and the sauce is great. The rigatoni vodka is very alcoholic and a bit heavy but tasty. The pistachio ice cream is amazing.

Not-interested waitress forgot to mention that the portions are huge, and enough for two.So we ordered two plates, and needed to waste food this way. The prices are high and not in line with the service. No recommendation.

Excellent. Very old school Italian. Good service. Very tasty food. The portions are massive though. Had to take home a doggy bag.

Was looking forward to eating at our neighbor restaurant Arthur & Sons (Westvillage). We walked in at 6:15pm, only 3 tables were occupied. And yet, host sat us at the absolute worst table by the wait-station, also the attitude of the host was noticably uncaring. We got up and left, after 5 minutes of being ignored and listening to the bustle of take-out, etc. at the station almost touching our table. We went next door to Italian American Club, sister restaurant. Better customer experience, and oddly zero tables filled. Service was excellent. Food was good. Music at 76-80db seemed odd when only one table filled, and trying to chat. Would go back because of service, but never to Arthur & Sons, because this was our 2nd time there with the same lack of customer service and attitude.

We went for lunch for our last day in New York. It definitely looks better than it tastes - not to say it was awful but most definitely over priced. They charged us 5 dollars for a topping of mozzarella. Not to mention the service was rather slow and by the time the main courses came out, the sides had gone cold. I did see another review saying that they mask the bad taste of their food with cheese and to be honest I can most definitely agree here. I wouldn’t 100% avoid this place but there’s probably nicer Italian places you can spend your hard earned money on in New York.

Went here for dinner with my brother and sister , it was my second time, their first. My first experience wasnt bad so I had been raving about it for about a year. Wow- the service and standard has went down in the last year !! the host told me I’d have to wait an hour and 30 minutes for a table. Obv not what you wanna hear but I agreed to it. Drove about mile out, while I waited. ( in Manhattan iykyk) 15 mins later, got a text that the table is ready. Took me 25 mins to get back. As a host, you know should have an idea of wait time etc. unless she was just wanting me to sit outside..anyways the calamari was good, as a I remembered.I had to ask the server for bread… it was cold and hard. For dinner, l I ordered the spicy rigatoni and the shrimp fantasia (fancy shrimp Alfredo) both dishes 3/10. The spicy rigatoni was not as good as I remembered, had a burnt flavor, the vodka wasn’t cooked out at all, also head ups they use a PROSCIUTTO based sauce for this pasta. This is something they should mention on their menu. I specifically told the server I have special allergy. The Second pasta was sweet because of the peas.. I’ve never had sweet Alfredo…. I don’t know. Just don’t get it. Anyways- for the price (150$) you can go eat at carbone. Don’t really recommend. They may have been good in the past or maybe you’ll love it if you love mid- food. However, plenty of other spots you can try.

Loud!!!!! I mean loud! You cannot hear a person 2 feet from you. You are having to shout just to carry on conversation. I will not return. I asked the waiter to please turn the disco and hip hop down some. Not sure if he did, but all I can say is the volume was unchanged. The food is good. Nothing great, but certainly above average. Had I known I’d be eating at a night club I’d of chosen Pizza Hut.

As usual a great casual experience. The Caesar salad was great and the chicken parm was delicious. We also loved the rigatoni bolognese. A great place to go for a casual and authentic Italian dinner.

The service was absolutely horrible. The music is too loud for any semblance of a conversation. We had two appetizers: meatballs and the other was artichokes. Meatballs were good, artichoked inedible. Still waiting for main course as I write this. It may never arrive. Too bad, we had high hopes for this place but so disappointed. Do not recommend at all!

I went for lunch time on a weekend and it was not packed! I ordered the spicy rigatoni alla vodka and it was well-made and very tomato-y; I make it at home using more cream and parmesan because that's my preference, but I still liked the version I ordered. The food portions are quite large so I split with my friend which was definitely the right choice. The staff were also very nice and attentive, even bringing to attention my purse that I left behind downstairs in their bathroom!

Spicy rigatoni alla vodka was really good, Caesar's salad was dull and it was overly expensive. Go just for the penne but not sure about the rest

Went with my son and daughter in law. We had excellent food and service! They bring out bread and garlic oil that was so good. Ordered the fried mozzarella as an appetizer and they were so good with some freshly grated mozzarella on top. For entrees we ordered the spocy rigatoni alla vodka and the chicken parm. That sauce on the rigatoni was so good, you kept eating it when full and the chicken parm was delicious. We split the app and two entrees and still have a ton of it for leftovers.

When I walked in around 8:00PM, I was told by the hostess that they were fully booked for the night and that I could sit at the bar if I wanted to. I sat at the bar and put my jacket and large backpack on the seat next to me. The way their bar is set up and by the size of their plates, there is no way for another person to be able to sit and eat next to me. So around thirty minutes in, whilst I was still eating my food, this guy started to hover behind my back while he talked on the phone. It was like he was examining my each bite. Around five minutes later, whilst I was still eating my food, the same guy asked me to take my stuff off the chair that was next to me so that he could sit there until he can be seated at a table. After I removed my stuff from the chair, he said that it is a stool not a place for you to put your stuff on. And when I told him that he was being rude. He started saying f**k this, and f**k that. This happened while the hostess and the manager were a few feet behind him and the bartender was a few feet in front of me. I clearly could not eat while my jacket and my large backpack was on my lap... So then I got a to go box and paid my bill... I did speak to the bartender and the manager afterwards, but I am not satisfied. Because they should have kicked him out when he started to curse at me! Therefore, go here if you would like to get harassed and verbally attacked by their customers!!!! They truly deserve their trashy customers!!!!

I took out of town guests who wanted to experience a "real" italian meal in NYC. The place charges a fortune, the service was poor (I asked for napkins, water, ect. and they just never brought it), and the food isn't even good. Everything is an up-charge and none of them are clearly marked on the menue. I left after spending carbone-like prices. Astounded they are still in business

If you are looking for a truly traditional NYC deli experience you have come to the right place. Not a cheap place to have a beigel but it was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Fresh smoked fish & a wide range of other deli products. Staff are accommodating and will make almost any filling on request! Super convenient location and a great place to stop on a lunchtime walk.

I really wish I could give a better review. We had early reservations and still was not seated in the original area. Very disappointed as I am from out of town and have waited a year to eat at this place. Food was adequate.

We made a mistake in location when making a reservation on Resy. and were unable to change it. Cancelling would invoke a charge of $45+tax per person. There is no phone to call. So we travelled to the destination and were seated early. We were charged for refills of soda. We asked for Parmesan cheese for spaghetti with white clam sauce. It was bland with few clams. When the bill came, we had a charge for &4.95. There is one single restroom for everyone which needed attention, with no option to choose another. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

The portion size have to be seen to be believed. Very generous and has a price to match tbf. This is an old school Italian place which focuses on quality cooking and ingredients. Every dish was spot on. The egg plant starter was fantastic. The chef comes out and is very friendly too. Our server Brandon was excellent. Very professional.

Went there with our family of 4. It had to be the worst Italian food I’ve ever had. Would never go back and never recommend it. Extremely overpriced. Let’s just put cheese on everything and hope it masks the taste of food. Everything had a burnt taste to it.

Excellent Italian food and plate full! Service to be desired (25 minutes to receive his spritz which arrives at the same time as the pasta dish). Award very expensive. Very good experience from a taste point of view!

Fantastic food and service in the West Village. We had Mozzarella Arturo’s Way, Spicy Rigatoni. Definitely don’t forget dessert, Spumoni my way. While enjoying our food we loved listening to old school music playing in the background. I can’t wait to return!!

Excellent experience. Authentic Italian food, generous portions and attentive service. Ambiance is classic Italian bistro including old style music. Eggplant stack appetizer is a must!
Fabulous Italian food & experience in West Village
Dinner with family on an early Sat night. Great music with Frank playing in 1/2 the place and 90s in the other section. Compact but well optioned menu. You cannot go wrong with any choice. Started with bottle of house Toscana. Great choice. Eggplant with mozz and balsamic was perfect. Caesar salad a nice choice too. Let’s talk about the bread and garlic and oil spread…. Fuggedabouddit. Entrees shared for 4 include Vodka Chicken Parm. Crispy.. tasty. Cheesy. And then Spicy Rigatoni - gotta do it! And then the standout was the truffled mushroom papperselle with Alfredo and cheese. Holy cow — normally not something I’d get but was my favorite. And the meatballs …. Just wait. Dessert… scoops of pistachio ice cream over Nutella with almond cookies. Put me in a Uber, I’m full. Everything stands out on its own and it’s all really worthy of a visit!
