Superb if the breakfast is anything to go by!

By Angela1011 |

We stayed in the Conrad Hotel and had breakfast at Atrio every morning. Which we had been there for an extra couple of days so that we couple make our way through the entire breakfast menu! Wonderful food!

Great breakfast

Good and varied breakfast offerings, well-prepared but pricey. Some servers mot very friendly, needs management attention.

Hotel Food?? Yesiree!

By memphismickey |

We are staying at the Conrad Hotel and after a long and tedious trip, decided to just have dinner at the hotel. I say "just" because usually a hotel dining room is the default because a) it is raining b) you are too lazy or tired to go out. The dining room is called Atrio and is ifar from a default. Good wine list, great food, including charred brussels sprouts, and a very interesting dessert menu. Try the "Salty Peanut Gelato". I kid you not. My wife thought it was the best dessert she has ever had and it was certainly in my top 5.

Over priced food with terrible service

By StefaniLeo |

So everything in NYC is over priced but when your service is terrible too, it's just annoying. There was a 15 minute wait for a table. Once we were seated, we were given water right away but that's the only thing that was quick. It ended up being an almost 2 hour breakfast which is not ideal for 2 adults with 3 children aged 5 and under. We asked for toast 3 times before we got it. And we asked for drinks for the kids 3 times too. The food was good, which is the only thing keeping me from giving this restaurant a lower rating. We only ate here because we were staying at this hotel and wanted a quick bite before we left for the day. I recommend just grabbing a bagel at the Pick a Bagel just outside the back door of the hotel instead. It won't taste as good but it won't cost over an hour of your life.

Nice selection of dishes for fine dining

By Guildev-Paris |

Atrio offers a nice selection of dishes for fine dining with an excellent wine list. I enjoyed their Argentinian red wine (Malbec). I recommand the grilled octopus and the sea food paella. They have an excellent pistachio creme brulée.

Atrio is in the Conrad Hotel

By nycmom22 |

The soaring atrium of this hotel is beautiful. Stunning, May have great weekend rates. Atrio is their restaurant. So all I've had there is coffee and berries. Definitely business-priced. Not bargain or tourist priced. Handy to know about both. In Battery Park next to Goldman Sachs. Lovely service.

Good brunch

By Aaron W |

Had brunch here and food was exceptional. My wife had eggs benedict, an average dish, but this was far above average taste. I went healthy with the white egg asparagus fritatta and helped myself to some break with olive tapenade. The food was good, service exceptional (although it was a slow Sunday). Prices a little high even for NYC, but this is a high end hotel so that's to be expected.

Beautiful restaurant with very good food in my neighborhood

By DANIELA M |

Loved when the Embassy Suites transformed into the gorgeous Conrad Hotel in Battery Park City. Atrio is the Hotel's restaurant and is a wonderful addition to the restaurants we now enjoy in Lower Manhattan. It's great for a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner or just for drinks and open all day long into the night. I would highly recommend Atrio and of course The Conrad Hotel. See also the cute hotel gift shop right next to Atrio.....wonderful NYC little treasures.

Great ambience, delicious food and great staff

By aclark100 |

We had the pleasure of dining at the bar and it was a lovely evening. Viktor and Jhon Carlos were friendly and kind and took such great care of us. They really made the evening such a pleasure and it's definitely credit to the management to have employees with tenure of 10+ years and who are so happy in their jobs. The burger sliders were delicious and so was the chicken. Their wine selection is top notch and I would hands down recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Surprisingly Good for a Hotel Restaurant

By 973B |

The food is delicious which is very unexpected for a restaurant in a the hotel. I have eaten there several times and had the bronzino, the chicken paillard and the spaghetti--all were memorable. Because the waitstaff is union its not cheap, but the portions are a good size. The room is bland, but thats OK because the food really is the star.

Quiet and Relaxing

By ronk1000 |

Perfect place to unwind, have a drink and enjoy some light fare after a busy day of museums, tours and shopping. Small cheese and meat food plates were perfect as were the little sofas we sat on with our friends. Very cozy vs the loud, frenzy at Loopys 16 floors up.

Fine Breakfast Choice

By Mark P |

Atrio is in the Conrad Hotel. I had a very good breakfast there. Service was friendly and quick, and the setting is nice. Prices were reasonable, at least by the standards of high end New York hotels.

amazing food and fantasic service

By Davey B |

we ate breakfast 3 times and every time was a fantastic experience. The chef is amazing and the food and deserts are tops

Breakfast of champions

By Vibha R |

Stayed at the Conrad. The breakfast at Atrios was bustling and we had to wait a while for a table. However the avocado toast was outstanding and the server remembered I like green tea :-)

Delicious food and lovely setting

By Rose Penelope Y |

Breakfast is cooked to order and my favorite is the corned beef which I liked so much, I ordered it twice in a row! We also had dinner there and the grilled octopus appetizer is a must try. The fried squash blossoms were battered and fried just right - it was not at all greasy. The veal and pork meatballs were tender and tasty. The prosciutto flatbread was thin and crispy. These 4 dishes that my husband and I shared was more than enough for the two of us.

Good dinner

By Carol0910 |

We had a late dinner in the Atrio. Our paella was tasty with coucous instead of rice. The portions were large and the waiter pleasant. Pretty pricey but in line with much of NYC

Excellent Rood and Service

By Harris H |

Located in the Comrad New York Hotel. We stayed in the hotel and really enjoyed our breakfast each morning. Upon arrival, we ate dinner and the pizza was delicious. Price are not over the top, especially for a NYC hotel. The wait tag was outstanding.

Go ahead, have the lobster and corn risotto. You wont regret it!

By csfbrooks |

My family and I stayed at the Conrad for a weekend trip and there are so many fantastic food options in NYC, you wouldnt necessarily opt for the hotel restaurant. But we needed to stay close and it was the easiest option. A trio did not disappoint. We were a group so were able to try lot of options. The stand out by far was the lobster & corn risotto. Service was really nice and the wine list was great (it IS a wine bar afterall). I heard when I was there that the bar is a bit of a scene during the week, but on the weekend we were there, it was not crowded at all. Looking forward to my next trip to have more of that delicious carb loading!!

Good hotel restaurant

By Frederic H |

Amazing food - breakfast and dinner. Service was more than perfect, prices are decent, overall everything was very good.

Nice vibe

By harvardmom2 |

Went for a late lunch today with a group of 8 others to celebrate my birthday and two of my friends' birthdays. Beautiful ambience. It was a nice place to watch the crazy rainstorm that was happening outside. Very friendly, warm welcome upon our arrival. The service was efficient. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. Bread baskets were served with an interesting dipping spread that was hummus(?) with an olive oil drizzle. My friend got the burrata; he loved its creaminess and that it was served with thin slices of prosciutto - sitting on top of pesto. I had a glass of Pinot Noir which was smooth and delicious. It was a nice sized pour. I didn't see the bill, and am not even sure which wine I had or how much it cost. I had the flatbread without the prosciutto. It was supposed to have zucchini squash blossoms... Didn't see even one. It was very tasty nonetheless and served hot right out of the stone fired oven. Coffee ( decaf) was way too strong... No matter how much cream I added it was still very dark and bitter. The salted Carmel and peanut butter galette dessert was crunchy ( not sure if it was supposed to be or was it over cooked?). Couldn't detect any peanut butter or fleur de sel. I split it with a friend and she felt the same but we both managed to eat every morsel so it was ultimately good. I would go back and perhaps try the $18 lunch special. My flatbread was rather pricey at $22. If you're driving, use Spothero to help find a very reasonably priced valet parking spot. $25 for 7 hours ( we were at the 9/11 Memorial Museum from 10 am- 2 pm and arrived at Atrio for lunch at 2:30.

WORST SERVICE IN NYC. Food is average at best.

By foodist08 |

Stayed at the CONRAD. A hotel with great potential but service is a missing factor. Atrio is probably the symbolic factor of how poor their service is. The waiters are probably waiting for training school.

Good Brunch - Special Treatment

By meb3qq |

I was in town for my daughter’s birthday and we had brunch at Atrio one morning. My daughter told the staff it was her birthday and the host treated her like royalty. The host advised the chef and he put together an unbelievable dish of ice cream, cake, truffles and happy birthday chocolates on the house. The chef even came out to shake her hand and wish her a happy birthday. They really went the extra mile and it was very special. In addition, the pancakes and bacon were great. It was a pleasant experience and a great way to start the day.

Good kids menu

By Echologist |

We stayed at the Conrad and had a kids meal for a small snack. The size was quite big and the food tasted great. Great atmosphere with the open kitchen.

POSSIBLY MY BEST HOTEL MEAL EVER

By Stephen W |

You know when you are in a strange city and you feel that you should really eat in the hotel restaurant? But, at the same time, deep down, you know it will be a disappointment? Because hotel restaurants aren't really restaurants are they? And the food's a bit insipid and probably dried up. A bit like glorified school meals at fancy dan prices? Well Atrio blew me and my family away. The Conrad Hotel is a fabulous new addition to New York's myriad offering and the restaurant planners and designers seem to have realised what to do right to avoid the usual disappointing experience. The restaurant itself is not the usual rectangular office style room - the open kitchen immediately hits you as you walk in with a clear view of dishes being prepared and served. Seating is mixed - a combo of standard tables, round tables and low sofa style seating. The menu is not cheap and wines start at $40 and keep going upward but the food is divine. We had steak, pasta, scallops. Some great starters also. Even the kids Chicken dippers were the best nuggets/strips I ever nibbled. Not wanting to pick the cheapest wine on the menu ($39) I plumped for the cheapest Bordeaux at $51. I was surprised to see a screw top arrive as almost all good French reds still come with corks. However wine was good. Service was excellent and food arrived quickly. Really could not fault it and, in four days of wall-to-wall New York eating, we rate this as our best meal of the whole trip!

Stylish decor and food

By Jame C |

I wanted a quick early solo dinner and Atrio took care of me. One glass of Syrah blend was a perfect compliment to the Moroccan roasted half chicken served along with petite vegetables in a creamy yogurt sauce. The bread service is outstanding with fresh tapenade. Décor is stark modern and the dining area is separated by the open kitchen area from the beautiful wine bar and its noise.

Drinks with a partial water view

By BML111 |

The Conrad Hotel lobby was very modern and cutting edge. The bar is just off the lobby. Some of the seats have a water view but most seats have just a partial view. The drinks were typical and the service nothing special.

Nice Place

By Mark P |

I had drinks in the bar and breakfast the following morning. The bar is nice, though loud. Breakfast was quite good, though service was a bit slow.

Mediocre food and lousy service

By LML4400 |

Amazing how a restaurant in NYC can have such great potential but fail to deliver on such a grand scale. Food here is good but spotty. Some dishes try too hard to be unique and fail to succeed. The service here is really bad. It isn't that they don't know what they're doing or that they are rude, they just don't care. Been here a few times as I live in the neighborhood and each time I see the same level of service. Shame on Hilton and shame on Goldman Sachs for putting up with it.

Great steak

By Cheerios |

Excellent food with great service and presentation although the menu was limited, it was very competatively priced against a steakhouse on the same block.

Below average and over priced.

By dd |

The ambience and dining room is great. Loved how you can see them preparing the food. BUT…in the end the food matters. We found their food to be below average and even bad. It’s just not a good place to eat. Plenty of better choices nearby.

Average food and uptight staff

By Forbidden_apple |

Was a resident at hotel. One evening was like late by a minute and was told will not be served. Uhhhh....another time was taken in and then was wedged into a pillar and table, just had a drink and got out. Trust me the Grill place, Shake Shack and Wei West outside are better optins for residents.

Exquisite food, chic and inviting space

By Sylvie S |

This is a fantastic restaurant in a dream hotel. The decor is minimalist yet uplifting, spacious yet intimate. And the food, well, the food is exquisite. From unique appetizers to gems like lobster risotto, Atrio offers an experience to remember. And if you get there when the sun sets, you get treated to the most magnificent view!

First and Last Courses Mediocre

By jknows |

The Pata Negra Iberico Appetizer ($32) and Apple Tart Dessert ruined two excellent entrees. The Pata Negra that I was served was hacked to pieces (needed someone who knew how to slice a very expensive ham) and was without flavor (the saran wrap). The Apple Tart needed a baker to make it a real dessert.

good for drinks

By LABROS C |

Went there because Loopy-Doopy Bar was full (as usual) Very friendly staff, good drinks, can get noisy. The waiter from Bulgaria is a gem

Great food.

By YWC3238 |

Had dinner several times at this restaurant. Great food with good portion size. Very convenient place to have dinner after long hours of work and go straight up back to my room!

very nice modern bar area and display kitchen.

By Randy J |

good service and modern bar area. Reasonable prices for NY City. Nice display kitchen area. Chef was friendly and client aware.

Nice ambiance

By Millie J |

Beautiful bar area. Went for a happy hour. The drinks were a little strong for being cocktails and the appetizers were just ok. You pay for the ambiance.

A great option that makes bad choices

By Intheeventof |

I think somewhere I might have given ATRIO a harsh review, the problem was they do not staff for the surges that they get at night at the bar and leave customers high and literally dry. And why close at 12, last call at 11 or 1130, when there is a bar downstairs open till 2? Just be aware. The do make a mean old fashioned, guess the secret ingredient. Other than that it is a great place for breakfast - awesome menu and food is perfect to start the day. The real surprise is the bar food. Try the meatballs and also the mac&cheese.

Quick Lunch Spot

By photog81 |

Positive lunch experience. Host and service was prompt and friendly. Food and presentation was good, nothing especially unique or spectacular about the menu.

Awful

By Max D |

So this is in a 5-star hotel, I checked, so there is no excuse why the service is not impeccable, no excuse at all. Bartender could care less if you're not dressed up which is a horrible mistake these days. The hipster guy with a beard who looks homeless could easily be a billionaire. So I asked if kitchen is open for obvious reasons and the bartender says yes so I ordered my drink. Then he tells me it's closed. No excuse to why he doesn't know when the kitchen closes...ridiculous. And why is a hotel kitchen closed so early (10pm)? They literally have entire floors of customers under their noses. So now I can only order from the bar menu which I might as well since I got my drink already. And it's hard to order because they're somewhere else since its a 360 degrees bar. Got my food, and first dish was very average but 2nd one made me want to vomit. Absolutely gross. I seriously not exaggerating when I say McDonald's is better than the food here. Don't be fooled by the ambiance. I know it looks like a 5-star restaurant but it's really zero stars. And by the way, bartender did not ask at all if everything is ok perhaps they already know the food is bad. Asked for the bill and it was like $80 for 2 appetizers and 2 beer. What?! If you're staying at the hotel, here is a tip. Walk outside and around the block. So on the same block, there are literally a bunch of really good places to eat and cheaper, too! Even Harry's which is worst on this block is at least cheaper if its food is no better. Personally, if I stayed at the hotel and there was a blizzard outside, I would still walk out for better food and lower prices. In summary, lousy service, disgusting food that I would even feed to my dog, and extremely overpriced menu. Don't get me wrong, NYC is expensive and I easily spend over $100 at Morton's, but the quality of food and service is so much better it's almost worth it.

Great Choice Downtown

By James C |

We had three consecutive breakfasts here (we recommend the bruscetta with eggs or the oatmeal). The food is great. We also had a nighttime snack here and the pizzas were very good.

Crazy Great Time!

By Malia R |

Thank you to Lucas (spelling) for making our daughter's 21st birthday so awesome. We had a bottle of sparkling wine, and Lucas treated us as a VIP x 1,000. He was so engaging and friendly that we actually felt bad we couldn't sit in his section all night long! We loved this place so much we couldn't wait to go back to have breakfast...And whoa, the salmon and bagel did not disappoint in the AM! Come hungry!

Try the meatballs!

By ProfPayne |

I ate at Atrio while staying in the Conrad hotel, and the food was really quite good - definitely better than most hotel restaurants. Try the meatballs! Atrio has some snack foods in addition to their main entrees, which I love because it's fun to try several small things. They also have that crazy delicious Spanish patra negra ham (those are the pigs that only eat acorns)!

Average

By Truetimerelease13 |

Nothing special. In the Conrad and service was average. Food also average. If you are staying at the hotel and need a meal and don't want to leave, it's a nice option.

Mixed review

By John S |

We ate breakfast here several times and the food was quite good but the service can leave something to be desired. It's clear the food standard is high but it seems the staffing level is suboptimal and poorly managed. One day they told us 30 minutes and it was an hour, when we finally got in, half the tables were dirty. We saw a table for four near the entrance sit empty with dirty dishes sit that way for 30 minutes, I don't understand where the manager was, that's money and it's part of an otherwise wonderful hotel. I rate the food very good and the management poor.

Very good

By MWJFC |

We were tired one night so decided just to eat at the hotel. I was concerned we were "wasting" a NYC meal but, no so! The good was quite good, service was excellent and we had a lovely view.

$28 brunch

By battgirl3 |

Food is fresh, mostly hotel guests. They continue to replenish food even toward the end of the dining time.

Really nice restaurant

By Quality First |

So seldom do you find a nice restaurant within a city hotel. Atrio is an exception. A modern feel with very nice service skills. The food and wines were excellent. The staff was attentive yet reserved and Florenzo made the mode feel special. Nice views and worth a trip

Great Vibe, Great Food&Drinks

By Trinhception |

Food was incredible for breakfast and for dinner. I highly suggest this place, great vibe as well whether its in the morning or at night.

Average

By Sharaz K |

I visited Atrio restaurant at the Conrad hotel whilst as a guest. On the evening I attended the bar was very busy due to an event earlier in the day at the hotel. After a short wait I was allocated a high table. The menu is rather limited and does not have a great choice. I ordered the roasted salmon dish and my partner ordered the bucatini pomodoro. There was an extended delay in the dishes being served due to the demands on the kitchen from the bar as well. However the waiter provided complimentary drinks for the delay. The roasted salmon dish was served with broth , however overall I was not impressed with the dish as it was rather bland tasting. The broth added no real flavour or accompaniment which a nice sauce could have provided. The bucatini pomodoro dish was well cooked and nicely seasoned. It was however a large serving of the dish. Overall , ambience in the restaurant was hampered by the vocal crowd over spilling from the bar. Food was average and not great in keeping with the hotel .

Relaxing vibe

By uostatechef |

We had a super experience at Atrio. The unlimited mimosas were a great value for $22 each. You only need to have two for it to be worth it. We all had the lobster risotto which was fabulous and a very generous portion for a reasonable $32 - they didn't skimp on the lobster. We were wedding dress shopping that weekend and we were in no rush at brunch. The menu was small but we like that, and there were plenty of choices for everyone to find something they wanted. Service was perfect - someone always right there when we needed them, but unobtrusive and not rushed at all. The restaurant is very clean and cozy. Many seats were long sofas that were actually comfy to sit at and eat. There seemed to be a high ratio of staff to guests. Tables were a good distance from each other. We would definitely go again.

Quick bite after a long day

By Angus L |

We visited the restaurant for breakfast and dinner when stayed at the Hilton Conrad. It's located at lobby level , just right across from the front desk counter. It's an open kitchen concept and you can see the chef is right there preparing every order. Restaurant is open and roomy. However, the 2/4 seating tables right next to each other might feel a bit less privacy. For breakfast , there is continental buffet or a la cart to choose from. Food is served hot and tastes good. For dinner, the menu is simple but still offer great choices. Service is friendly and quick. If you have a long day either after work or shopping, this'd be the restaurant that offers you a quiet environment to rewind and relax .

Long wait for average food

By Djrbikes |

Long waits, poorly managed and organized. It seemed like the managers were overwhelmed. The food was average. Breakfast was included in my package, but the prices appeared to be high for the quality.

Ok place for quick drink

By Krpr |

Ok place for quick drink and some food to nibble on. It is a bit on the expensive side regarding the offering.

Noisy, really noisy

By MacJ |

Place for a Breakfast business meeting was not ideal. It is really noisy, american shout and others shout...breakfast itself was nice, staff friendly enough. For a normal breakfast without anything serious to discuss, then ok.

Good bistro food

By Barbara |

I had one of the best pizzas I have ever had in this restaurant. The Apple Tart Tartin is not to bad either.

Delicious breakfast menu

By addies |

Ate there with breakfast vouchers. Everything we ordered there was really good except the sausage stone oven baked eggs. Way too salty. Could have used some tomato sauce and some spice. and the pastries is waste of money. nothing special for $14! I would recommend: The corned beef, belgian waffle from the regular menu. and from the kids menu we had the 2 eggs (the potatoes were really good), the ricotta lemon pancakes, french toast. everything was really god. on the healthier side: organic yogurt is good. steel cut oatmeal. But very pricey. And if you are in NYC for vacation, why would you want to go to an expensive hotel restaurant? I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. But if you are on business travel and time is of the essence, I would definitely eat here and expense it. I couldn't have imagined food from anywhere being any better but i think i'm just saying it doesn't have the ambience if you are traveling from afar. Would not go there if I had to pay out of my own pocket.

Hotel fare with good choices.

By Frank G |

Hotel dining can be hit or miss. You often go to places like this as it's easy to grab a meal. We came here for diner after we just landed so did not want to explore. My dish was a seafood stew and was handled ok with decent amounts of claims. and other seafood. My wife's chicken was bland. Again, quality was acceptable for what we needed but this was not a destination restaurant

Conrad Hotel Ripoff

By BayRidgeGal |

I had Sunday brunch here before attending a movie upstairs. The Spanish eggwhite frittata was tasty with fresh vegetables, cheese and choriso, but included no side, drink, or coffee, which were all extras. With a small side of potatoes, muddy French-pressed coffee which I had to send back, and no cocktail, my bill was close to $50 with tax and tip for one person. The place was empty except for a family at another table. There was a three-piece combo with live singer until 3PM. If you can't even get the coffee right, forget it. Tourists staying at this hotel should eat out. Although I am a HiltonHonors member, the waiter said I could not get points for the meal because I wasn't staying at the hotel.

Breakfast!

By nutmegger31 |

Was staying at the Conrad and had breakfast at ATRIO. The scrambled egg bruschetta was awesome! Table with a view of the river. Prices are very high and this is primarily a business hotel, but Hilton Honors Diamond and Platinum members eat free.

Perfect business lunch or causal dinner spot

By Christopher M |

The Conrad is a great hotel in a great area. Had a few meals here during a recent stay and found it fast, friendly and fresh. Good wine list and great bar area. Nice views.

Stylish and Contemporary

By R55DRG |

We stayed at the Conrad the last week in May and ate in the restaurant a couple of times and also used the bar on a few occasions both during the day and late evening. On each occasion, we found the staff to be pleasant, helpful and engaging. Evening visits usually entailed a beer or wine before going back to our suite. The bar varied between empty and full during our visits and therefore the atmosphere could be lively or peaceful. The unusual shape of the bar lends itself to social chat (you'll have to visit to know what I mean). Alternatively, you may wish to use the comfortable seating areas away from the serving area of the bar. It's obvious that the hotel does host conferences and this usually attracts the late night revellers however, unlike hotels in the UK the bar closes before midnight which is a good thing in my opinion. Prices in the bar could be viewed as expensive but this is a five star hotel and therefore to be expected and this is not a problem in my view. We were a party of four and ate twice in the restaurant, once in the evening and once at lunch. In the evening, our requirements were mixed - my partner just wanted soup and the waiter was happy to arrange for chicken noodle from an alternative menu and this was declared delicious! I ordered the Prosciutto pizza and I have to say this is probably one of the best pizzas I have had other than our favourite pizza place in the UK (high praise indeed!). The other two members of our party shared a pizza and again, this was declared to be delicious. The second time we ate was on the day of our departure and we all opted for the $25 'three course' option. This wasn't quite what we expected (picture enclosed) but the soup was very tasty and the sandwiches similarly so. If I'm being pedantic, the 'something sweet' (two macaroons) did disappoint slightly since we were expecting something a little more....substantial? Stylish and contemporary is my title and the bar fits in nicely with the whole ethos of the Conrad. It's a nice place to relax, have a drink and a generally pleasant time. The open kitchen is a great feature and adds to the atmosphere. If you are looking for a full meal this is probably not the place for you but then again, New York is hardly short of places if that is your want.

Overpriced and charmless

By Pro-Flyer |

$20 for a Margarita Pizza, really? No welcome, please wait upon arrival when someone else was in front of us. It's a clean place with open kitchen, but the prices are too high in my opinion. Staff lacks any warmth and the place has no charm. Would never return.

Good drinks, spotty service

By Anne C |

We stopped in here for a drink mid-afternoon while waiting for a friend, and before our room was ready. At first things were looking good -- we got seated at a nice comfy high top table near the open kitchen and just steps from the bar. We ordered a couple of drinks (one alcoholic and one alcoholic) plus some water and waited. There were maybe at most four other customers and we were not in a particular hurry, but still it took a long time. Long enough, clearly, that the waiter came and brought us two glasses of sparkling wine "on him" because our order was taking so long! This was an appreciated gesture but my hubby cannot have alcohol, which the waiter did acknowledge, but we saved his glass of bubbly for our friend who was stuck in traffic. Finally after maybe a half hour somebody brought two drinks to us, but only one was correct (my hubby's non-alcoholic drink, the Pomegranate Nojito). So I told the waiter who was about to put them on our table what I had ordered and he took the incorrect one back and then we waited some more. Finally my correct drink (The Brooklyn Beauty, which was gin, St. Germain, lemon and prosecco -- shouldn't have taken a long time) arrived right before our friend joined us. The drinks were delicious. I had to call our original waiter over, however, just to get a napkin (not even a paper cocktail napkin was on the table). This was an unnecessarily long and arduous process for what should have been a simple relaxing drink in a setting where staff pretty much outnumbered patrons at the time we were there.

Good food with perfect service

By Jonathan C |

I had dinner at Atrio with my wife to celebrate our valentine's day last night, the food was really good, i really recommend the hanger steak and the Burrata. It was delicious. I have to say that we had a perfect service, Thank you Lucas for you friendly service, you made us feel special. We will be back for sure.

HOTEL BAR & RESAURANT PLUS

By Errol M |

I stayed at the Conrad Hotel because I was installing an event, MISSING LINK promo, and had breakfast & dinner at this restaurant & bar. Bar was very nice and the restaurant had high top tables with nice views. I felt the food was above average and the service was attentive. Drinks were also very good.It would be worth it even for a drink. P.S.-rooms were exceptional, but ask for a Hudson view.

Breakfast every morning

By stephenday50 |

Having a fresh cooked breakfast was important. Good hotel choice but stuck with a typical egg, toast, bacon, sausage combo every day.

Amazing location if you're beautiful enough

By LokiLab |

Came here with some colleagues. We were impressed by the atrium as we came in, noticed all the beautiful people at the bar, and duly followed the host to our table, hidden away behind a pilllar near the service area. We clearly did not pass the test to be on display. The food was good, but despite the fact that we were not eating late (7.30pm) and the restaurant was nowhere near full, three items were not available on the not particularly extensive menu. Service was not particularly good - hidden away as we were, it was hard to catch the waiter's eye. If you are beautiful and well-heeled, enjoy!

Very nice

By Tom P |

The food is very good and the staff is very attentive .Although we only ate breakfast at Atrio everything we ate was excellent.

Best Coffee - French Press

By SPGal |

Loved the coffee! WIll buy french press when return home. Food is very very good. Great chef. Will return here with spouse for sure! Service is so-so.

Great breakfast but pricey

By Mark B |

Plenty of staff. Only had breakfast but great service , food was good quality but pricey but you could get ala carte or buffet.

Very Swanky

By Wojo1490 |

Went for breakfast. The menu was on the gourmet side of things. Not the best option for someone on the go, or wanting a quick traditional breakfast. Food was good though.

NY Breakfast

By Beth S |

Was staying at the hotel, so it was super convenient to come down for breakfast. I ate steel cut oats which came with agave syrup and fruit. Delicious but expensive at $25!

Breakfast with friends

This was our saturday morning breakfast choice as it was in the middle between the hotels where our friends and us were staying. We had a 10am breakfast and were seated in the back area of the main room. I think potentially our server wasn't having a good day that might've contributed to the "average" rating. The service was really bad but food was ok, and really nothing that would stand out. We had waffles, baked eggs, eggs Benedict and ricotta pancakes. Baked eggs were overdone and were like eating hard boiled eggs that were sitting out there for a while, so I wouldn't recommend that dish unless it was a one off experience. Pancakes on other hand were very good and fluffy. Coffee was mediocre and was served in a tea pot?! Overall mixed experience, and I wouldn't select this spot again with so many other breakfast options in NYC.

nice but expensive

By travellingangie |

we stayed at the conrad and were given free breakfast vouchers to eat, so we had breakfast. It was an excellent meal. The wait staff was great and we ordered the bruschetta scrambled eggs, which were crazy filling and tasty.

An Emphatic 'Eh'

By pookala |

Hotel dining fare is typically middle-of-the road, sometimes you get lucky and get nice atmosphere with decent food. But it's inevitably more expensive in a 4-5 star hotel; you are paying for the convenience. Unfortunately, for us, Atrio was a bad choice for the last breakfast of our vacation. The room is fine - it's generic modern with lots of windows and light which is pleasant. The coffee is good & we should know. Because we drank enough of it while waiting for our food, which took 40 minutes to reach the table. It may have taken longer had we not spoken up to the manager regarding the delay. So any convenience was negated by this extraordinary wait. Which I must add, for further clarity, was unreasonable considering the low amount of diners in the restaurant at 10:30 am. On to the food, Eggs Benedict (eggs over cooked) Egg White Frittata with Mushrooms, tomatoes and asparagus (one grape tomato, and none incorporated into the actual frittata), bruschetta scrambled eggs (missing so many ingredients we had it taken off the bill) and our only successful pick: scottish salmon flatbread. No salt on table, we grabbed one off another table. This was not a good last impression, especially since the rest of our stay at The Conrad had been so delightful (see review).

Great Sunday breakfast

By cat, no rat |

Strong coffee and scrambled eggs cooked perfectly-what more could I ask for on a Sunday morning in the beautiful Conrad Hilton, Battery Park. It was pretty busy and service could have been a bit faster, but, we were leaving after breakfast to catch a plane home, so maybe I was a bit edgy as a result. Would definitely eat there again.

Great breakfast!

By Tryitoutnow |

Expensive but very good and creatively presented food, with generous portions. We received a discount on the bill which made it more affordable.

Our 2nd time, good food, but avoid the 'A la carte' option

By RGSOUNDF |

Our second time at Atrio. Good food and accommodating interior, overall nice ambiance, but please don't repeat our mistake by choosing 'A la carte' option. First and foremost, the 'A la carte' option is severely more limited than their buffet option, we would estimate featuring 60% or 70% less food varieties than the buffet. And then it is just a lose-lose option money-wise. Our Vegetable Frittata with chicken apple sausage was priced at $20 and $7 respectively, just one course, while the all-inclusive buffet would cost us the same, with so many more choices. However, it is still the hotel prices we are talking about. Many cheaper options are available right in the neighborhood. Choose wisely.

Good little bar in the Conrad

By Dolla Yo |

This is a trendy little bar/restaurant at the Conrad where I stayed. Good drinks. Good breakfast the next morning.

Perfect NYC Dinner

By Mai M |

After a full day of NYC holiday sightseeing we were absolutely starving & in desperate need of a break. An early dinner at Atrio was the perfect respite from the crowd & noise. We started with light fares from the bar menu: salt & pepper calamari, salt cod & potato croquet, & tuna tartare which were all very tasty! Then followed with the amazing Lobster pot pie filled with succulent lobster bites & topped with a wonderful flaky crust - really big enough to eat as an entree. The Long Island Rohan Duck was paired nicely with a pumpkin, apple, bacon hash. The potato truffle pizza was a pleasant surprise, generous enough for two to share. The overall atmosphere & services was great. We were able to have pleasant dinner conversation without shouting (ask for the corner table toward the back).

Invisible Guests

By Ama C |

Should have taken it as a sign when there was no hostess, server eventually came to seat us, seeing how it was 2pm I wouldn't imagine it being hard to get lunch in NYC. We sat at the table for 10mins+ before asking if we could order. I ordered a burger, he ordered the scallops. Wine was ordered when we ordered our meal. Good thing the food was was worth the wait as we almost left before ordering.

Consistently good

By Jr43528 |

I've been to Atrio a number of times and it never disappoints! The menu is interesting, food is fresh and tasty, and the bar staff very convivial! Highly recommend Atrio if you're staying in Battery Park - although it's a hotel restaurant and bar, service and cuisine are first rate!

Great Hotel Restaurant

By Josh K |

Good place for lunch or breakfast. We ate here several times and the food was always good. Sometimes the staff was a little slow. Most of the time they were attentive and helpful. Also a good place to get a drink, if the rooftop bar is closed.

Great Bar Staff

By Mo C |

The bar was well stocked with all domestic and international beers and liquors. The staff were polite, attentive and friendly. They welcomed us back each evening and made the time we spent there very pleasant Great for such a large hotel.

Another mixed review - great food, poor service

By Feetonforeignlands |

Atrio is the restaurant in the lobby of The Conrad New York hotel, which was where we stayed for the second half of our New York visit, and as our room rate included breakfast, this was where we ate each morning. Our vouchers entitled us to a short 'Hilton Honors' selection of menu items plus tea/coffee or juice or we could chose from the full menu and be given a $20 credit each against what we chose. Our favourites among the items we chose over the five days? Bruschetta scrambled eggs with vine ripe tomatoes and local mozzarella ($17), ricotta hotcakes with Meyer lemon curd and raspberries ($16.75), market fresh fruit and berries with gingered carrot bread ($17), and the almond and red quinoa granola with organic Greek yoghurt and berries ($12.75). Maple syrup to accompany dishes (as appropriate) came to the table in cute individual bottles. We all commented that the berries in various dishes were the biggest, juiciest berries we've tasted. The food at Atrio was fabulous. The service however was disappointing. Big delays in seating tables at breakfast time, despite there being free tables inside. A 'ten minute' wait in the hotel lobby for a table to be ready became close to half an hour. They ran out of teapots every morning and tried to serve tea in coffee plungers (which, as any tea-drinker knows, is just plain disgusting...). Dishes were brought to the table erratically, and on one occasion three of us had completely finished our meals, and my husband ended up having to go to the pass himself to seek the fourth meal. We did make the manager aware of our concerns, and to his credit he made a big effort to follow up and try to rectify the issues. Small niggles in the big picture, but unfortunate as they took away from what was a great menu and beautifully executed food.

Nice Breakfast, Poor Service

By Mark P |

A trio is in the Conrad Hotel. The setting is nice, and our breakfast was quite good. Service was friendly, but almost comically disorganized and slow. If you are not in a rush, this is a fine option.

Hotel breakfast

By bcheong |

Stayed at the Conrad and this is the breakfast restaurant. Decor is beautiful and airy like the rest of the hotel. Breakfast is not a buffet, but a la carte, which is classier. I got the egg Benedict, which was good. You can watch the action in the open kitchen. Overall good, except for the grouchy waitress that delivered the eggs

Delicious

By A H |

I came here for lunch for Restaurant Week Winter 2015. Everything was absolutely delicious! I started my sharing the burrata & meatballs with my friend. The burrata was very refreshing and the meatballs very comforting. We then both had the oxtail ragu & it was delicious! I then had the red velvet cake, and eve though I was full by this time, I wiped my plate clean. My only negative comment was that the service was a little slow at the end when we were waiting for our check. Overall I would highly recommend it!

Very Good Breakfast Choice

By Mark P |

This is a nice restaurant in the atrium of the Conrad Hotel.we had breakfast and it was very good, though service was on the slow side.

Lovely, lovely service in a lovely space

By nycmom22 |

This restaurant is in the fairly new Conrad Hotel in Battery Park City, NYC. It is close ot the HQ for Goldman Sachs. The hotel is amazingly spacious in the public areas. I was there but for breakfast. and the service was impressive.

A staff attentive to gluten-free needs of Celiacs, with great selection

By quiinc |

I ate breakfast here, had cocktail hour snacks and several drinks at different times, and every time, the staff was could not have been more helpful seeing to gluten-free needs. Companions had ordered a charcuterie plate before I arrived, and when I inquired as to whether it was gluten free, the waiter quickly obtained confirmation from the chef. And five minutes later, unbidden, he returned with a plate of gluten-free toast. I was staying at the Conrad, so this was convenient. The service surpassed all expectations.

Fantastic Lunch Atrio

Lunch in Atrio Restaurant was fantastic! The presentation and quality of the food was amazing, the staff was very attentive and professional and the restaurant was spotless.

Excellent Breakfast

We had an excellent breakfast in this Hugh end hotel restaurant. The food and coffee were good, the setting is quiet and very nice, and service was quick, friendly and attentive.

New Years Eve

We had the 5 course dinner at Atrio on New Years Eve. The best food we had in New York. Service was exceptional.

Good breakfast a la carte, decent prices

By RGSOUNDF |

Staying at Conrad we decided not to venture outside on a rainy October morning, taking advantage at the same time of the opportunity to earn additional HH Honors points. The interior is excellent, the seats featuring soft cushions and throw pillows are extremely comfortable and cozy. We opted for the 'à la carte' option, not being fond of the buffet concept, and both our choices were good, the Vegetable Frittata (Egg Whites, Asparagus, Mushrooms, Tomato and Herbs/$20) and the Amaretto French Toast (Brioche, Vanilla Custard, Toasted Almond Butter, Blueberry Maple Compote/$22). For some reason the choice of the 'Two Eggs Any Style with Breakfast Potatoes' featured in Atrio's online menu was missing on that day. For those accustomed to hotel eateries' exorbitant prices, Atrio would feel as budget friendly. Recommended.

Great hotel restaurant

By Gail G |

This is a wonderful restaurant. The breakfasts are outstanding and plentiful. Dinners were exceptional. The wait staff is informative and very pleasant. We were fortunate to have had Carlos waiting on us. He was very helpful and attentive.

Very nice breakfast

By avvpine |

I had the complimentary continental breakfast being HHonors and was a BIG plate of fresh fruits and fresh pressed grapefruit juice. Also had the egg white frittata with asparagus and was great.

NY visit

By Roger R |

There were three of us for dinner. We shared Mushroom Risotto with black truffle shavings, Paella and Halibut. Everything was delicious.

Wonderful Cocktail

By RBD930 |

We came for drinks one evening and had a fabulous cocktail. It was called "The Battery" and ingredients were Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Mixed Berry Jam, Mint, Orgeat, Lemon, and Club Soda. It was so good, it could sneak up on you if you had too many. The bartender said it was his invention, and he gave us tips on how to make it at home.

Restaurant Week Visit

By DorothyZm |

Nice atmosphere, portions were a bit light but enjoyable. Enjoyed the restaurant week selections. Great service and atmosphere. My only complaint would be that a bottle of wine is not offered for sale -- only a small carafe (2.5-3 glasses). Would definitely return.

Conrad

By Ed R |

We were staying close by and came here for a drink. They checked our vax cards and we were in. We had a seat at the bar, like we always do, where we met the bar tender Danny. What an awesome guys and waiter/ bartender. We decided to have dinner there just because of him. We had the steak and the bolognese. Both dishes were good with good flavors. The servings were a good size. The staff was very professional and took really good care of us. The restaurant is on the second floor, inside the Conrad. What a nice place. Again, the food was also good so I can recommend this place. Great for a date night.

Hilton Honors Members Visit

By ExploringFamilyFun |

The Atrio restaurant is inside the Conrad. Whether a guest at the Conrad or a customer from the city, the Atrio has very friendly staff and splendid food. If you are a guest at the Conrad and are staying as a Hilton Honors member and receive the breakfast vouchers for two people per day and are staying for several days, you can combine the vouchers for a family of more than two to use on the day of your choosing, making selections from specific choices or exchanging the value (at the time of our visit $20 which almost covers most menu items) for a regular menu item. Hint: if you're staying at the Conrad during a busy season, reserve a breakfast table for a specific time so that your wait time is minimal, but even if you have to wait, it's worth the wait. Great place with great food and great staff.

Nice breakfast

By veegeenj |

Beautiful, open restaurant with open, airy feel and clear view to kitchen. Modern but not cold. Great service, pleasant staff, comfortable seating.

Autumn Risotto and Diver scallops is a MUST!

By We❤️2Travel |

We stayed at the Conrad Downtown hotel for three nights between Christmas and NYE! We thoroughly enjoyed the Atrio restaurant every night for dinner! Kyle is an incredible individual who has the highest levels of customer service! Really shines!! Our vegetarian daughter loved the Beyond Burger and how it was prepared! We recommend the Autumn Risotto- beautiful creaminess, truffle flavor and squash cooked perfectly!! We also enjoyed the Diver Scallops with the cauliflower! The pizzas are shareable sizes if you’re not too hungry. Don’t expect floppy oily NYC pizza slices- these pizzas are made with fresh ingredients and San Marzano tomatoes! A bit too heavy on the cheese (but that’s just my opinion). We loved the little things about Atrio such as the evening complimentary warm spiced apple cider and hot cocoa. Both tasted amazing and were a perfect touch coming back in from the cold! Every morning the staff was kind enough to get my daughter Almond milk so that she could make her own cold coffee in the room! As Hilton Diamond members we received a $50 F&B credit every day and it covered quite a bit of the costs for the food. Really recommend Atrio! Delicious food and great service!

Great breakfast and Lunch Venue

By journeymaid48 |

WE had breakfast and lunch here during our stay at the Conrad. The service was excellent. The food was very good, and everyone was so pleasant to us. We will definitely eat here again.

Ok for a hotel restaurant

By twhite4809 |

I would not eat here unless I just could not get away from the hotel. Nothing terrible, just so so location (off the lobby) and so so wine prices/quality at the bar.

Lovely decor - slow and inattentive service

By dotgar |

While staying at the Conrad we had occasion to eat breakfast here twice and had cocktails once. Our drinks went unfilled and we practically had to jump up and down to flag our waiter. The food was quite good at breakfast, but the service was again very slow and scattered. Would not go here if not for our Hilton Honors vouchers.

execellent

By venky |

i cant tell one thing is good, i tasted different items, everything is excellent and presentation is beutiful

Nice place

By lisab362howellnj |

This is where we landed each night. The service was slow at times, but they were busy, and we really didn't mind. We only had drinks, no food, so the drinks were made to order.

Big City Hotel Restaurant

By EJW3 |

Atrio Restaurant is located within the Hilton Conrad Hotel. We had a dinner and a breakfast there while staying at the hotel. Dinner was good. The service was adequate but not great. The food was mostly very good but several items on the menu were not available. The prices were high. Breakfast was very good. It was a typical hotel buffet with the usual fruits, breads, yogurt, cereals, etc. and a lot of hot dishes. There was also an al carte menu, but just about every entree cost the same as the full buffet. If breakfast isn’t included in your stay, it will be a very expensive meal. Finally, expect the restaurant to be very crowded in the morning.

Good Food, but Slow and Expensive

By MarkBCharlotte |

This restaurant, located inside the Conrad hotel, served good tasting food. The quality of the food was diminished by the slowness of the service which resulted in my having to eat far too fast, only to have to wait 10 minutes for the waiter to come by so I could get a check. I should also mention that the price for breakfast is expensive, even by most hotel standards. I might not have minded the price as much if the service had been impeccable.

Very Good Hotel Restaurant

By Zamalama |

The food is very tasty here; prepared and presented well. Service is another matter; bit rushed and not polished enough. Would not go out of my way necessarily to eat here but since I was not staying at the Conrad it was an easy choice; perhaps the only such choice in the area. For breakfast, definitely order the fresh squeezed orange juice and french-press coffee. All the dishes are nicely done.

Great Tables and very good menu

By Shamus01 |

Had a great dinner on Friday night. Service was slow at the start - but once we got started all was good. The apps were great. The fish really good! The tables for 4 have this great slanted corners - great for conversation. Something we have not seen before. Getting on the rooftop bar after dinner was easy (wait is about 2 hours). The rooftop is not the greatest - would not do that part again!

World Class!

By benfen6293 |

Beyond normal. Tasty. Delicious. Professional. Worth the visit. Delicious. Exceptional setting with greatest staff!

Drinks and dinner meeting

By Felice B |

Met colleagues from London for drinks at the bar and dinner. The service was a bit slow, and the drinks were pricey, but very good and strong. We shared several appetizers, and were able to linger for hours. Since Amada closed, this is another good choice for a more elegant place for drinks and dinner.

Shame about the poor management...

By MarkHippo |

The food is pretty good actually; if you can get to sit down. It serves the 400 plus room Conrad hotel and its just too small to cope with the demand, especially at breakfast. Conrad guests can wait over 30 minutes for a table, often more. Whilst off the street you can book in ahead using Opentable. So they have tables free and a massive queue of guests. The maître d, and her manager are too young and inexperienced to adequately cope with the daily line of complaints and tell customers to contact Conrad and tell them its too small. It probably is but its also badly run. Avoid, or make a booking and vex those 5* clients standing in line.

Delicious food, upscale atmosphere

By travelwriter |

While staying at this hotel, we enjoyed breakfast one morning, brunch the next, and cocktails one evening. We enjoyed everything that we ate, from the goat milk yogurt parfait to baked eggs to a salad. There was a great variety of unique options to choose from. I have many food allergies, and eating in restaurants is not always easy. I was delighted to find a variety of foods I could safely eat. And the staff was exceptionally attentive about my dietary concerns. Since we had HHonors vouchers for $20 towards the cost of breakfast and brunch, we found it quite affordable, but without that some might not find it so affordable. However, this is the Conrad in the Financial District... it is not going to have corner diner prices. The jazz trio at Sunday brunch was a lovely added touch.

Horrible restaurant

By Jolie A |

We wanted to enjoy a family dinner. It happens to be Christmas so they have what looked like a lovely prix- fix! we all ordered because everyone must at the table. Nobody ever brought bread or water! Appetizers come so does bread as I asked for it. We ordered Beef tenderloins all of us. It arrives and it was cold all of them. We tell the waiter he doesn't say anything just takes the plates. I walked up to the manager to complain. They offered us drinks. They did remake the meal which wasn't great. They weren't packed. I found the service very unprofessional and will never return. We didn't complain so much as it was a holiday and we didn't feel like ruining our family time. You would be better off grabbing a burger from shake shack they treat you much better than this restaurant!

Back up

By Jaelovestravel |

This is a good place if you are having friends meet you at the hotel. I did not eat a seat down breakfast but our friends did and they siad the baked eggs were really good. I did have the lamb pizza here and it was fantastic! It had a little kick which made it interesting. If you are staying at the Conrad this is a good choice for a meal, if you want to stay in.

For a 5 star hotel, dissapointing

By lieke a |

To start with, and for me this is important; fresh jus: no fresh jus, only fabricated jus! Big no! Then the healthy choice; do they know what healthy is?? No! Big plate full of sugar coated fruits and cereals. So.. i ask for green tea. Got lavender because; couldn't find the green tea!! What?!?!? So you decided i'd like lavender instead? So.. ten the wine part.. seems to be a hard thing to sell good!! Wines.. not cheap wines you overprice.. thats not good wine.. So, i wasn't blown away and i think, being the restaurant of a 5 star hotel brings obligations.. wich they certainly not made true for me. Another thing.. they are not always open, so a coffee when you need one because you are jetlaged is not always possible.. so you have to leave the hotel.. no good

Unexpectedly Disappointing

By TravellingBell |

Currently, staying at the Conrad Hotel New York again and I am disappointed by the notably indifferent service at the Atrio Bar & Restaurant. The attention to detail and hospitality I remember from my last visit seem to have vanished. I had to ask for my set table to be wiped down again to remove the honey and jam stuck to the table. Has there been a change in management? The staff are more interested in talking to each other than checking on their customers. The food presentation feels like I am at a local cafe not a 5 star hotel. See photo of my breakfast below. The level of service last night was also poor. They did not even bother to check to see if we had made a reservation with special requests. Overall disappointing.

Burnt chicken sandwich

By treierts |

Had lunch here the final day of my stay at the Conrad New York which hosts this restaurant in it´s lobby. I ordered the Chicken Club Sandwich. Unfortunately it was not really any good as the bread was burnt and left a very burnt aftertaste to the sandwich. Maybe I was just unlucky, as the sandwich would probable be fine if it was not burnt. Service was great.

Had breakfast and Lunch - Both great.

By aks120LasVegas |

I was staying in the Conrad and had breakfast and lunch in this restaurant. The breakfast egg bruschetta was one of the best things I have eaten for breakfast - it was a clever and new take on a staple breakfast item. I also had a Cobb salad for lunch - again it was refined and took a normal salad up a notch. The Bellini was the only thing that let the side down. Overall the restaurant had a nice layout, modern and tasteful cutlery and crockery and really friendly staff. I will definitely return.

Superior quality and style in food

By Mark B |

A friend and I occasionally eat dinner here -- they change the menu week to week, and there's usually something we both want, but not always. What is consistent is the friendly welcome and polite service. The tables are places in a very well designed area so that you can here each other speak and not be drowned out by music, but you can't necessarily hear the people next to you, which I like. The food is always high quality, and a serving of veg isn't just carrots, its buttered heirloom carrots. The prices are steeper than elsewhere, but you get a distinctly premier experience. A favourite of mine is when the chef prepares short ribs -- very yummy. I can also recommend their French-press coffee to round off your meal.

Great food and service, although very noisy during the cocktail hour for nearby workers

By TravelWarrior200 |

I was staying at the hotel and it was easiest to meet four others for dinner here instead of heading elsewhere. The food was truly outstanding (I had the chicken, others had the encrusted tuna which I plan to order next time I'm here, and another had the ravioli). I also had breakfast here the next morning, and again, truly outstanding. The only downsides: This is a very popular wine bar for the nearby workers and thus can be quite noisy until they largely clear our around 7:30. Also, I had made a reservation days ahead of time but the table for five or more was occupied by some office workers and they instead wanted us to sit at one of the high tables right in the middle of the noise. When I said I was unhappy, they provided us a table in the adjacent room, which they should have done at the outset. But that's a minor glitch, and I would readily come back here.

Just ok

By drfalemany |

The pizza is Excellent.!! The New York strip was over cooked, but still edible. Wait time for drinks refill was too long even though the restaurant wasn't busy.

Nice hotel restaurant to have a meal at

By Sanja A |

I prefer to dine outside of hotels, but since we were busy, this place had a good food to offer, just a bit expensive.

Great seabass, bland desert and excellent service

By andal03 |

Business dinner with private room - overall good food, although the desert wasn't innovative at all and fairly tasteless. Everybody loved the steak, however I had the fish option which was really good as well. Would go back for business meetings, but not for personal as this still felt like a hotel restaurant (which it obviously is)...

Lemon ricotta pancakes!

By Ester E |

Scrumptious treat in a lounge atmosphere. The service was very attentive despite being an extremely busy Saturday before Easter.

Ricotta pancakes worth waiting for (and you will be)

By OOBonomist |

If these things could ever show up on time, this would be a 5-star breakfast experience assuming someone else is paying. It's not one step in the process. It's the whole thing -- from being seated to leaving. it's breakfast, for goodness sake, not The Last Supper. it should take maybe a half-hour tops, but our experience is that it can take much longer at peak times. On the other hand, we do keep going back. They are definitely worth waiting for.

Surprisingly good hotel bar food!

By MBvRossum |

Most notable on the menu were the brussel sprouts, potato wedges, and the burgers at lunch, and sliders for dinner or after hours.

A Underrated Restaurant.

By Gary851 |

I had both dinner and breakfast in this restaurant. Although, some people may be suspicious because it is a hotel restaurant and there are always tables available, the quality of a excellent restaurant are indeed present. The food was great. I had a steak and my wife have a wonderful pizza. The service was impeccable. My compliments to the Conrad for hiring such a wonderful staff.

????

By TravelersChoiceGirl |

I am not sure what this bar / resto is trying to accomplish but they are missing the mark. Service is terrible and so is the food. This seems to be the whole theme of the Conrad hotel. Too many restaurants in New York to waste your time here.

Good food ... if you wait long enough

By Daniel S |

We were guests at the Conrad and ate at Atrio for breakfast on two mornings and again for light fare and drinks one afternoon while entertaining a visitor. The space (like the hotel it resides in) is a marvelous vamp on modernism, but comfortable and warm. The food we enjoyed featured fresh ingredients that were skillfully prepared and presented, but the wait for service was unacceptable. Each time we were there the restaurant was not busy (in terms of the number of customers) but it took far too long to get served. Once the orders were placed, the food arrived in decent time, but to begin ordering, that was a different story. The wait staff seemed to be hustling, but perhaps there were just not enough of them to cover the half empty Atrio.

Really enjoyed breakfast

By bjhotel |

Had breakfast. The host told me that they offer a buffet on the weekend, but on weekdays, they just have "ala cart" options from the menu. Prices are high. But the food was delicious and the service was very good.

Hotel breakfast

Had breakfast here when staying at the Conrad hotel. There is no buffet just table service which is fine. The food is okay but pricey. $4 plus tax and tip for 2 slices of toast. Staff were helpful and attentive.

Yuk

By Max D |

First off, if you’re a tourist eating here then shame on you. Get off your butt and really travel instead of eating at the hotel. Is there any hotel restaurant that’s actually good? I never been to one. I’m from here and so I tried the place since it’s nearby the movie theater. Prices are over the roof. Even during happy hour, beer is $6. Not so happy hour after all. I ordered all their happy hour snacks since that’s all I could afford and they were nasty. Service is non-existent whenever I want to order or get the check. It’s a big bar but there are 3 bartenders so not sure what they are doing. It’s nice, spacious ambiance if you like the all white minimalist dystopian future look and really only good for a drink or two during happy hour if you must come here.

After a long day walk...

By JACK2011 |

If you stay at Conrad hotel and you feel tired after a long day walk in NYC (lile us!), try the Atrio. Food is great and price reasonable for an hotel restaurant. Top level service , good atmosphere

Amazing cocktails

By Stephanie M |

We stayed at the Conrad and visited Atrio several times. The wine list was nice and I had several glasses of a Malbec. My husband had the house Manhattan which he enjoyed. Don't go here for the value, super expensive but it was our anniversary so we felt like splurging. Ordered an espresso martini one night and it was amazing!

Cosy respite from the rain

By gwegwy |

Following a morning at the 9/11 memorial and museum, we had intended to wander about along the Hudson River for a while but it was cold and very windy so we arrived about 45 minutes earlier than our lunch reservation time. Not a problem, the restaurant was almost deserted and it remained fairly quiet throughout our lunch. Typical of a hotel restaurant, it was overstaffed which meant that we were spoiled for attention. The Conrad is a relatively new reworking of the former Embassy Suites hotel and has a very modern, light and spacious appearance with a vibrant atmosphere. Talking to our waiter, Luis, it sounded like a very good alternative to our usual NYC hotel, the Marriott Marquis. We started with a margarita and martini and, still struggling after a hefty period of overindulgence in Waikiki and Las Vegas, we decided to just have a main course, both choosing the lobster and sweet corn risotto. However, the bread basket which was presented to us with a lovely tomato tapenadey sort of spread brought that restraint to an end rather quickly. The risotto was an enormous serving and what we had expected to be a smattering of lobster turned out to be virtually a whole lobster between us. A bottle of Eric Kent pinot noir confirmed for us that the Russian River area is the place for good pinots and it was almost as good as the bottle of Etude we'd enjoyed at Prime Steakhouse a few nights earlier at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. By this stage, we were full but the restaurant surprised us with a complementary desert for our combined birthday/anniversary so we ordered 2 glasses of champagne to help us wash it down. The bill came to $240 including $170 for drinks. Rather generously, we weren't charged for the champagne either. In a modern, light and bright setting with good food and friendly, attentive service, we had a great lunch and will return on future visits to NYC. It was still cold, windy and wet when we left so we decided against getting the subway back to our hotel and took a cab back instead. It was an uncharacteristically pleasant cab ride and we both snoozed for most of the trip.

Great Pizza

By David S |

Nice ambience and relaxed atmosphere just off the atrium lobby at the impressive Conrad New York...venue for our very good breakfast in the morning. Return for dinner after drinks in the loopy doopy bar on the roof where we thought we might get snacks with our drinks. Place was too crowded, great views but not comfortable so headed back to Atrio...nice choices on the menu and went for the prosciutto pizza while the wife chose the fried zucchini squash blossoms. Great choices, pizza was excellent and enough for two so I struggled to finish! Meat was excellent, base spot on, wife more than happy with her choice. Really good dining experience, friendly attentive staff and a bonus watching the chefs in the open kitchen...excellent choice for breakfast too...

NOW WE ARE TALKING!

This place just rocks. We have been dining here for several years and Aura is our go-to server. She is friendly and efficient and remembers us. The food is high-end and tasty (but why did you get rid of the corned beef hash?!). We have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here and been pleased with the food and service. This is our must-do spot when we are tired from a day of 401k client meetings.

A Nice Coffee shop

In the lobby of the Conrad, this doubles as the coffee shop and lobby bar. We had breakfast, ok, nothing special, two omelets, $60. I know it'$ Manhattan, smile and take it.

Insane prices

We visited for dinner and drinks. The ambiance is very minimal. The entire restaurant is bare white. I understand that was the whole point when designing the hotel but I felt as though I was in an airport restaurant or cafeteria. Ok so the bar - they recently changed the cocktails on the drink menu. The cocktails were expensive but really good and the bartenders are very nice. Then after some drinks we sat down for dinner. Service was very good. The food was very good EXCEPT the pizza! I was so confused how they cooked everything else wonderfully except when the pizza came it was awful. I mean awful! It was pretty weird considering the menu had an entire section for different pizzas. Omg I can't say enough how bad the pizza was. Very strange. Rest of the food was good.

Spectacular service and atmosphere

I visited NYC with some friends and we decided to have a few drinks and dinner. The service was fantastic and the food was excellent. A special thank you to "Julia", a waitress, who made the experience extra special. This restaurant/bar is centrally located, with a great view of the city and close proximity to night life. If you ever stay in NYC at the Conrad, make sure to pay a visit to the ATRIO. Exceeded expectation and experience!

Great place to relax

The bartenders are anxious to please and the mixed drinks are interesting. The food is good but pricey. Service was excellent.
