I was a little hesitant at first but within the first 10 mins, this was rating as one of my favorite eating experiences. Nickki was a great hostess, fun, engaging and entertaining which made the experience very enjoyable. The food was delicious knowing we were being served vegan options. They paid special attention to my wife's food allergies which was refreshing. Be sure you go with someone you truly enjoy talking to rather than being so self absorbed by your phone. This is well worth your time and money to enjoy.

This is definitely the most crazy experience and I did not realize how much anxiety a dark room would give me much less eating food I coukd not see and know what they were. It took several hours and the food was very expensive. As ming as you know what you are getting into it should be enjoyable for most wanting a different type of dining experience.

This was fantastic! My son and I went and we had a great time. Carlos had such great energy and the food was so good! This is a vegan restaurant, but us carnivores really enjoyed it!

Ok, first the negative.....booked this trip for Thursday 23rd November being a Brit we thought you'd be open Thanksgiving Night, even the tour company I booked it through (VIATOR.COM) told me you would be, we walked from the Paris hotel to the restaurant to find it CLOSED, agghhhhhh. We came back on 25th November, and you very kindly honoured our booking and what a fabulous experience we had. Our server, Anna was so friendly, helpful and jolly, she really got into the spirit of the occasion and made us both feel at ease. The food was amazing, the tastebuds go into overdrive trying to decipher exactly what you're eating, and all 7 courses were delicious. It takes a while for the eyes to adjust to TOTAL DARKNESS, but we both had enormous fun and haven't stopped telling our friends and families about this amazing experience in Las Vegas, we've even looked for a similar experience in London ! Thankyou Blackout people for honouring our reservation for 23rd November, a totally mind blowing, taste sensation, eye popping, journey into eating blind, we LOVED IT !

My husband wanted to go try this out so our son took him for his birthday present. The 4 of us had a great waiter Regan-she was very attentive and helpful. I was leery of trying this but it was better than I expected. Food very good & menu changes from time to time. They tell you what you had at the end of the meal. Can't take pictures of the menu so can't share. Try it--certainly a unique experience! Can't take photos inside.

We ate at Blackout dining last week when we were in Vegas. We were looking for something different to do in Vegas and this was absolutely a highlight! We were lucky enough to have Zee as our waiter. We had to pick up anything that may make light prior to going into the dining area. They allow you Elton acclimate to the darkness prior to putting your group in a Congo line to get you to your table. Zee was Awesome! He kept us informed on what was going on, and he was super stealthy! It was such an intriguing experience having my party’s voices coming out of nowhere while we laughed and talked about the experience. The food was good. There wasn’t massive amounts of it per course, which I personally liked, as it allowed me to eat all 7!courses. We had some big guys in our party and they all thought portion sizes were just right as well. It was awesome talking about what we each thought we were eating as well, as there were many different guesses. I e got to find out at the very end of the dinner. Overall it was a highly enjoyable experience and I would do it again!!

My husband is a former chef and we went for his birthday. Eating in pitch black darkness is hard to explain. Trusting the process (with deep breaths) got me through it after about 5 minutes of being there. We each ordered a cocktail which was made very well and soon our first entree was delivered. The food was very very good. My only complaint was 2 of the dishes had very similar textures. All the food was great but making each one vastly unique would have been a 5 star review for me. I’m so glad we went and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special experience!

When I tell you this is something EVERYONE should experience! The sensory stimulation you get from this place is outstanding. You have to experience it. I don't want to give away the concept but it's definitely worth it.

We absolutely LOVED this restaurant! A quick uber from our hotel landed us at the coolest adventure dining experience!! My first time was 2 years ago and I could not wait to go back!. We ate at Blackout on Friday, March 18th. Out server was the best, she was happy and fun and called us by our names and gave my daughter "a special birthday treat". YES, it is pitch black ! NO, you can not see anything. Staring at blackness is definitely an experience, Eyes open or Eyes closed???? The menu is Vegan and low allergy (& they do accommodate). We had a 7 course meal and there was SOOOO much food, you better come hungry!. We tried everything, it was all good, some I wanted seconds on! There is no menu, so it is fun to try to guess what you are eating. 5 stars to the Chef for such a creative menu. (you will get to see the menu when you leave). They offer free lockers to put your belongings in and they do offer a bar menu. So go and have a great time !!!

This was a fun experience. I had fears that it would be terribly difficult to eat in the dark with my food sliding all over as I tried to eat, but it turned out to be fine. I think this was helped by the plate having a rim. The server also gives a little description of the food item such as it's shaped like a taco. I would say the food is more like a 4 than 5, but it's 5 for the overall experience. It is totally dark and you might see just a tiny light coming from each server's night vision goggles occasionally. Those lights in no way provide any illumination. After the meal, we were escorted back into the lobby where we were able to see the secret menu, which confirmed some of our guesses as to the ingredients of the dishes.

Horrible food and overpriced. Vegan only menu...We tried to request what the menu would be , what type of meat vs seafood but got no response and now we know why. It’s almost a bait and switch. . Save your money!

We tried this restaurant out for a different experience, and that it was. It was so fun. So dark you couldn't see anything. Our server Adam made us feel comfortable and used his humor to make it that much better. Before going, we were skeptical of eating in the dark and not knowing what we were going to be eating. It all worked out great. Food and drinks were great. Cons: Quite pricey. The $89/person advertised price is only a fraction of the total after a few bar drinks. As expected of course, but I did not expect each drink to cost SO much. After dinner, we were expecting to actually see the dishes that were prepared for us. At the end we were shown the menu, but seeing the actual food (or a photo) of the actual plates would have allowed us to put the real image with our imagined image.

While people have been giving one star reviews because they weren’t told what was on the menu, my friends and I had a great time sitting in the dark talking and trying to figure out what it was. The staff was amazing and the food was even better. Honestly didn’t even know it was plant based until we saw the menu at the end and we weren’t even mad. For a seven course meal that good I’ll pay 90$ any day Ps the plant based food HELPED my stomach even though I have Chrons disease

Definitely an experience worth trying. The food that was served was something I would've never tried if I could see it. But surprisingly 1 of the best meals I've ever had. Our waitress Rebecca was the best and kept us entertained and informed on our food placement. My fiance and I are definitely going back everytime we're in Vegas.

This was so much fun! Went with group of 5 and laughed almost the whole time. Such an awesome concept and fun experience. The food was delicious, too!

We made our reservation after researching BLACKOUT. We had never dined in the dark before. I have food allergies so knowing that the food was plant based and they have a gluten free menu really put me at ease. We arrived and were greeted by a friendly young lady. She checked us in and gave us our locker for personal belongings. Our server, Kory came out and introduced himself to us. He was an absolute delight all evening. He relieved the nervous feelings we had through humor and by providing an all around positive vibe. He escorted us into the dark. It really is pitch black. He was attentive, humorous, and professional. We savored 7 courses of delicious mystery food. We both enjoyed everything. It was really fun to experience food without being able to see. They knew we were there for a special occasion, so they helped my fiancé surprise me by providing him with a rose to give me. After our incredible dining experience ended, we gradually went back into the light. We got to see our menu (which was creative, diverse, and as we already knew delicious). The hostess took pictures of us and we were on our way. I highly recommend trying BLACKOUT Dining in the Dark and suggest going in hungry because they do not shy away from portion size! We would love to have one of these open in the Seattle area.

By far one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. It was something that I will never forget. Our server, Cheyanne made the experience so amazing and memorable. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Las Vegas Vegas - do not miss it!

I wasn't sure what to expect of the meal or of my ability to identify what I was eating. The food was excellent, my ability to identify it all was shaky at best. I would suggest that you go as a group. We went as a couple and had a lot of fun but I think a group setting is more appropriate for this. I had fun but the whole meal takes 60 to 90 minutes and by the end, I was getting a little frustrated and impatient with the process. Seeing is as much a part of eating as the actual chewing and eating and I wanted to see what was in front of me. We would go again with a group. It was thoroughly enjoyable.

Went solo tonight for dinner while my husband was in meetings. I thought it would be awkward but I had the best server who made it lots of fun! Liam was so nice and made the evening awesome (how often do you give your server a hug after dinner?). The whole experience begins when you walk in the door. The food was very good and I felt confident that I wouldn’t be eating anything “weird!” I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something a bit different to do! All of the servers were funny and engaging, even in total darkness! I’d definitely go again. If you happen to be in Vegas, include this in your plans and ask for Liam!

My husband and I came for our anniversary and had a way better time than we expected. It truly is PITCH BLACK DARK. I had assumed your eyes would eventually adjust to the dark but it's a totally different experience. It's so fun trying all of the different foods with each course and trying to guess what they are. I will say there wasn't that much food though, very small portions. Definitely a fun experience!

Went as a family, not sure if we’d enjoy. We all felt quite odd for the first 10mins but after that the whole experience was worth it. Food was delicious and wine taster menu was great. Best bit of the evening was being served by Anthony who made the evening so much fun. Thank you :)

So I always try something new when we come to Vegas. So the first thing everyone needs to know is this is a vegan menu, big surprise to me. But, the chef was incredible. Food was surprisingly good. It was a crazy experience eating in the dark. A little disorienting to begin with, but you used to it quickly. A big shout out to our waiter "Z", he was awesome and made the experience even better!

I was curious about the idea, but unsure if I really would enjoy it. Turns out, it was so much fun! We did the dinner, and got there with a quick and inexpensive Uber ride from the Strip. The staff there is super helpful. They have you sign a waiver, wash your hands and lock up your valuables and anything that emits light (like your phone). I thought they’d have everyone in one big group, but they actually sat us in our party like you would anywhere else, ie there were only two of us in our party so we were sat at a table for two. We were assigned a waiter, Kory, who was awesome. He led us through the dark to our table and got us oriented. It takes some getting used to, but if you have an open mind it is really fun and you’ll just laugh at yourself a lot. There were times I would raise my fork to my mouth, and nothing was on it because I hadn’t successfully gotten my food on the fork. So we just used our hands instead! Your waiter comes to clear your plates in between courses and then gives you the next one with enough instruction to know how to eat the current course, but without telling you what it is. The food was a mix of hot and cold, and it’s all vegan. I’m a picky eater, but not seeing the food made me try foods I probably would have skipped normally if I’d seen them on the table. And everything was delicious and extremely filling. You also lose sense of time. We thought we’d been in there for 45-60 minutes but it was actually two hours. You’ll have a blast. Just go into it with an open mind and a willingness to roll with it and laugh at yourself. It’s definitely a unique experience worth trying!

The premise here is extraordinary. A little gimmicky, sure, but it is something I had never contemplated before, and seeing your food (or NOT seeing it as the case may be) really does change the way you eat. in a city full of experiences on offer, this one holds its own. Dining in the dark was disarming, revelatory, and sometimes hilarious as we bumbled our way through seven "mystery courses". It's the food equivalent of a trust fall, and fortunately, we were well-caught. It's hard to talk about the food here in too much detail without giving away spoilers, as the mystery of what you are eating is part of the pleasure. Suffice it to say that it is delicious, complex, well-prepared, and satisfying. A special shout-out must go to the staff, who aren't only waitstaff, but also directors, guides, MCs, confidantes to our insecurities, and sometimes even fill-in therapists. In a situation like this, the staff are a "make it or break it" component: if diners trust their server, they will relax and have fun. Many thanks to Willy and Christina, who allowed us to relax and have fun, and who all in all crafted an extraordinary experience for our group.

You can’t see the menu before as its part of the experience. You can not see the food. Only the server has night googles and can see. They describe the plate and describe the dish in general terms. Trying to figure out what you are eating (and guessing the wine if you get the pairing) is a lot of the fun. You can see a menu after (but can’t copy or photograph). Very interesting and definitely worth a visit.

This is an experience not to be missed! - it was such a strange assault on the senses, the food and the service was fantastic, my only complaint would be that the other tables were not following the rules about talking quietly - so I found that I couldnt hear my husband talking to me over all the noise ( some might say thats a blessing!) ....well worth a visit!

At first I was a little apprehensive but it was an amazing experience. It made you think, feel and be in the moment. I would recommend it highly!!!

This was so much fun! I was a bit skeptical going in because I can be a picky eater, but the food was amazing. There were a couple of items in one or two of the courses that I normally wouldn't like, but with the way they were prepared, I had no idea what I was eating and was pleasantly surprised when I found out at the end of the meal. Trying to figure out what we were eating during the meal was amusing. Staff was friendly and fun and guided us through the meal perfectly.

Loved this !! I am whole food, plant-based and my travel mate wanted to try a vegan restaurant - and found this. If you partake - KEEP AN OPEN MIND !!! This is not the place for picky eaters, those with food allergies, or control freaks. You are paying for an experience and a meal, and you won't be disappointed. It might not meet everyone's price point, so ask before making reservations. We had an amazing time and laughed so hard at how vulnerable we were......and also spent time talking about how those without sight maneuver through a meal. A great experience and well run establishment !!!

Spectacular. It was a bit unnerving at first, but after a few minutes you settle in. The trip to the table is a bit tricky, but we made it without any bumps or bruises. The food was outstanding. Just enough to get full, but not enough to overeat. We all ate our menu items together and debated what it was we were eating. We were so very very wrong (they show you the menu at the end). Above it all was our waiter, Josh. He was joking around with us, telling us stories. and even accepted our crude humor. Plus, we are both lefties, so that automatically puts us in the cool kids club. On top of his personality he was also very attentive, gave us clear instructions on how to find and eat our next time. And most impressively, made sure our drinks were filled which cannot be easy with night vision goggles. Highly recommend to anyone in the Vegas area. Also need to shoutout the waitress i dubbed "terminator" who knocked over the chair. It was all good though, we blamed it on Josh.

Very different. Couldn't imagine how this was going to work out. I managed not to soil my shirt while eating. Would have happened for sure had the lights been on. 7 courses in complete darkness! The staff was great. Your escorted in very carefully and seated. Given some quick instructions from the waitress and told when you can begin eating. A great, great experience. Everyone should eat in the dark at least once. Not only was the food delicious but it was fun trying to figure out what exactly you were eating. This experience helps to put things that are taken for granted into perspective. Try it.

This was the COOLEST food experience I've ever had!!! You sit down to eat in a pitch dark room (like can't see your hand in front of your face dark). They have a mystery prix-fixe menu, so you have to figure out what you're eating using your other senses. It's all plant based food, and every single course (including the meat substitutes) was AMAZING (and this is coming from a mega carnivore). 10/10 would definitely recommend. 💯 Everyone was super friendly, and Z was an awesome waiter!! I'll definitely be going back during future trips to Vegas!!

Great fun experience of eating totally in the dark. The staff were excellent and guided you both to your table and the food courses. The food itself was ok but not great. I can understand that they are catering to the masses and therefore cant take any chances with flavors or spice etc. Definitely go for the experience but don't expect gourmet food.

My husband and I are pretty adventurous by nature so this kind of experience was right up our alley! We had a blast! It is literally pitch black in there!!! No distractions, no expectations (we had no idea what we would get, etc) and the staff makes it so fun. We left there having extremely full bellies, laughing having had such a fun unique experience and feeling like we just had the best date night ever. You won't regret this cool place!!!

We had such a great time dining here. Our server, Anna, was fun and friendly and we loved her humor. The food was surprisingly excellent! Not everyone loved every dish but there is much variety and we at least liked most of it. Such a great experience to do as a family!

When they say blackout, they mean it. You are lead in hand on shoulder guided by your server. We had George and he made the experience one of a kind. Precise directions to find silverware, water glass, and a cocktail. As the first plates of the seven course meal start to arrive, your nose and ears and fingers are the only tell you have as to what you are about to taste. Flavor, texture, temperature is all you have to go by. You can guess all you want and pick out components like we did but we're still surprised in the end. Definitely would recommend and if you have an extra seat I would gladly accompany you on your adventure. Book your reservation before you go. Enjoy a one of a kind experience.

Complete and utter disappointment, took wife and mother-in-law to this place for a crazy dining experience. Turns out their food was absolutely disgusting. Even after asking before booking the reservation any details they can give on the type of food, they never mentioned that they were a vegan restaurant! I may have been fine with the fact that it was basically nothing but vegetables for the entire meal if the vegetables were actually good! If you want blah, bland, unflavored, disgustingly nasty food in the pitch black dark and then be ripped off with an outrageously high bill for that garbage, this is the place for you! If not I highly suggest going for a different type of crazy dining experience that might have flavorful food with some substance! After spending pretty much $100 a person, we all had to go find food to eat after leaving because we were still starving hungry! What a horrible way for my wife and mother-in-law to spend their birthdays!!! I feel like I have been ripped off beyond measure!! Though the guy Cory was nice we didn't come there just for a guy to be nice and spend $100 a person!!! Then I call to let them know how awful the experience was and they don't even care!!! I am so upset about this. Never in my life have I felt so ripped off by a restaurant. Like I said unless you are a vegan that enjoys food that has absolutely no flavor, maybe even make you throw up later like I did. DO NOT DARE GO HERE!!!

My wife and I stayed in Las Vegas as it's a must on our roadtrip before we head back on the road to Canada. We wanted something unique and this came up on our TIX4TONIGHT discount card. We absolutely had no idea except that it was gonna be literally eating in the dark. We decided on a whim, prices are really reasonable (for Las Vegas) and we were tired of fast food at this point. We came in, the hostess greeted us and was very friendly. The waiter gave off a very welcoming way, genuine and delightful to chat and guided us through the process. No tricks in the food, no tricks during dining, night vision cameras to make sure we're safe and the food was absolutely delicious. It will say plant based food so that deterred me in the beginning (I simply enjoy meat too much) but it was 110% filling, tasty, satisfying and amazing!! The drinks were delicious as well. Waiters knew us by our name, personal experience, trying food that I wouldn't regularly order was bonkers but, in the end, I loved it all! I highly recommend it to anyone who would enjoy a unique dining experience and who would love to try new food.

We did not know what to expect and were overwhelmed by how cool the experience was. The food was amazing (although too much garlic for one of our party). Be prepared to eat with your hands and do not wear your best clothes because it can be a bit messy. Also don't take any mischief makers - they will steal your beer!!! Too fun!!!!

I was a little freaked out about eating in the dark, but the staff was great and that really put me at ease right from the beginning. Our server had us laughing from the moment we stepped into the dark and we had a great time with him trying to figure out everything we were eating. I still can't believe just how dark it was, so prepare yourself, you won't see a thing. The food was good and I was surprised to hear that our meal was plant-based. It's definitely an experience I recommend trying once!

Was a bit apprehensive at first but this turned out to be one of our major highlights of the trip. Rebecca was our host and SHE WAS AMAZING!!! I cannot ever recall having so much fun at a dinner venue. The food was really good too and the total blackness of the night allowed the taste sensations to take over completely. This venue is highly recommended and we will do it again in August. Oh yes, and whatever you're paying Rebecca - IT'S NOT ENOUGH! :-)

We came for our anniversary. It was an incredible experience. Our server Bree was so sweet and explained everything really well. There were a couple of large (8 people)parties, but it didn’t take away from the experience. You do for sure want to not ruin the experience for others by bringing in light sources, or being obnoxiously loud. It felt really great to be “unplugged” and enjoy the company of my husband. We had a great time trying to guess the flavors.

Was really looking forward to the experience and it didn't disappoint. Had to lock up phones, watches and anything else that might create ambient light. 7 course menu was a mystery until you are on your way out. Super fun trying to identify the spices, flavors and ingredients in each dish. Conversation, even with our teenage son, was great because there were no phones or other distractions. Great experience and I'd like to do it again. Only downsides were that the food was a little pedestrian. Would like to try something with a little more culinary flare. Also at $100 a head, I didn't find it a great food value. Not sure I'd go back to this location but would definitely like to repeat the experience.

Very fun night. The server was a great host and narrator. They have a good script and it was wonderful! Food was good (a lot of it!) Mostly eaten with your hands, so be aware of that. Was a little pricey, but I believe it was with it for the experience alone.

Our server was great; we felt quite comfortable in the complete darkness. The food was exceptional and the experience was AMAZING!

After a very long and scenic drive from LA, we needed a second to regroup once we arrived in Vegas. We kicked off our shoes took in the scenery and did my favorite past time... take a nap. Once we woke up it was time to get dressed and ready for our night. While Vegas boasts some of the highest rated restaurants in the country, we wanted to go off the beaten path a bit. I found the Black Out - Dining in the Dark experience and knew that was the one for us. The name of the experience pretty much sums up the concept but just in case. Yes there is food and yes you eat it a pitch dark room. Once we locked our belongings in the provided locker room, we were escorted by our server, Ken into a holding room where he asked if we had any allergies and to get us ready for the experience. He was such a delight that he immediately made you comfortable about the experience. Once we followed him into the pitch black room, in true ducks in a line fashion, our senses heightened. As Ken sat us down to further explain the dining experience and take our drink orders (of course!), it all settled in. Over the 6 courses of all plant based foods, we found ourselves relaxing more into the experience. Using our hands1 and our taste buds to try and figure out what we were eating. Jai and I were able to have intimate free conversation that was refreshing and fun. I will say that I have had meals where the food itself was better, but the experience was definitely one for the record books.

The main course was horrible. We couldnt eat more than 3 bites of it. Smelled bad too. So the service was top class, the blackout dining experience interesting but what matters the most, the food and esp the main course makes me not able to recommend it. Honestly, you could do this at home for 1/10 the price using eye covers and have it taste much better!

Fun and different way to have dinner. It is as they say, dark, very dark, pitch black! We were given small clues as to what our meal was....ie: You have a bowl of this when it's cold. Never told what we were eating and it was more challenging than I thought to figure out what we had. You are shown the menu at the end, but pictures of the dishes would have been appreciated. Make sure you wash your hands - you will eat some dishes without utensils. (you don't have to, but it's suggested for one or two of the courses. I ordered the wine flight, 7 glasses to pair with the 7 courses. Glad I tried it. Have fun if you go, that's what it's there for!

This is a truly unique experience. If you’re a foodie, like taking risks and trying new things then this is the place for you. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and experience. I went to culinary school so it was fun talking amongst ourselves trying to figure out what the dishes were. My friends who we dined with own a restaurant and loved the food as well except for the main course. It was the only dish we all got wrong.

I can't express how much I've needed a place like this in my life. I went here with my boyfriend on our most recent trip. When you arrive you are greeted, sign a waiver, and place your items in a locker. Your waiter will put on night vision goggles and lead you conga style to your private table in pitch black. They will help you feel where things are and guide your experience. This place truly allows you time with the person your with to talk and share. There are no distractions like your phone or TV's. Most of the food is finger foods. It is not about getting full or a hearty meal. It is a tasting experience. The portions are tiny but focus your senses on flavors. You will try things you never knew you liked. You will try things and maybe not like it. This place is vegan/vegitarian. Don't let that put you off. It is all about the tasting expreience and some of the most allergy friendly food. The chef is amazing and you will get amazing creations you've never tried before. If you have allergies just tell the hostess with you check in and they will make sure you are accommodated. The hostess says the menu changes every three months.

What a fascinating experience. Guests eat in pitch black room. No light. 7 course meal you can't see. You don't know what it is until you're leaving. Food was delicious. Service was wonderful. Got to be open minded to try something very different.

No, this is not fine dining. I hate to leave a bad review for anyone's business, but we feel like suckers. $250 for a meal that probably cost $1.50 in cheap freezer bag ingredients. Everything was deep fried mush with fake meat and no interesting texture or flavor. We could have had a really decent meal anywhere on the strip for less. A lot less. And not left completely grossed out.

This was a date night for my birthday and it was a very unique experience. The food was ok drinks amazing and overall a good time.

We have just had the 5 course lunch and it was such a good experience. Our server made the experience great. It was bizarre to sit in total darkness. The food tasted so good and it was fun to try and guess what you were eating. At the end we got to see what we’d had and see what we got right. I recommend this to do.

This was certainly a unique experience. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and it was absolutely PITCH BLACK. We had a member of our group who frequently sees flashes of light and we were concerned this experience would not be pleasurable for him, but it was all okay! Chris was our server and he did a wonderful job guiding us through our meal and the dining room and made us laugh. The food was good, but not so robust in flavor. I was really expecting to wow my palate with deliciousness, but the food did not live up to my high expectations based on previous reviews I had read. My husband, the carnivore, was not thrilled in anticipating an all plant based meal, but he did not feel as though anything was missing and enjoyed the meal after all. The experience of the darkness was the highlight for sure. It lead to great conversations among our group and the mystery of the meal and guessing the flavors was thrilling. We would do this again, but hopefully catch a change in the seasonal menu.

Was hesitant because of the price, but it was so worth it! Went with my husband a and another couple and it was a blast. Would go again!

Restaurant was awesome and our waiter was top notch! Celebrated my birthday it was a 10 ladies we had a blast. Your other senses are definitely heightened. We made it fun trying to guess the ingredients, etc. Drinks were great and not watered down. Everyone said they have to come back with their families as they want them to experience this as well. Dining in the dark definitely takes you out of your comfort zone which is what I wanted to experience on my special day. I highly recommend this venue. Be ok with being uncomfortable and leaving your comfort zone. Looking for something fun and exciting to do this is your place. BTW the meal was quite filling. Enjoy! You will not be disappointed.

We finally tried dining in the dark, and it was amazing. We were asked not to mention too much about menu, but the food was great. We bought the wine pairing selection and it certainly added to the total experience. Our server was great. Wearing night goggles, she lead us to our table and explained where dishes, utensils and water were located. We managed really well in the very, very dark and enjoyed the enhanced smells and tastes of this unique dining experience.

I made my reservation for this unique dining experience several days in advance with a special note that one of the people in my party had a nut allergy. The menu is a mystery because you’re supposed to use your senses to figure out what you’re eating in the dark. I flew out to Vegas and got a Lyft over to the restaurant. Upon arrival, we were told that they saw our note in the reservation but were unable to serve anyone with a nut allergy due to one dish having pistachio. No accommodations could be made, and that was that. I found the whole ordeal to be pretty unprofessional and really the biggest disappointment of the trip. We wasted time, energy, and money on a cab to be turned away when they could have called me ahead of time to let me know they would not be serving us. You’d think that for $75+ per person that they’d want to do anything possible to keep the business. While I did not get the opportunity to dine here, there would have been no photos anyway as the dining room is pitch black.

As one might expect, this is indeed a unique way to have dinner. The serving staff is impeccably trained, and definitely makes the evening a lot of fun. The food, for me, was hit and miss. However, because there are seven courses (smaller dishes), if you don't like one course, the next one may be more up your alley. As the menu isn't revealed until after you're finished, it really does make for a fun dining experience... And great table conversation, even if you can't see who you're talking to. Our server, Willie, was especially entertaining. They were very conscious of our tables dietary restrictions (one person (me) had a peanut allergy, and one person was gluten intolerant). They don't use peanuts in any recipes, and the gluten-free substitutions were good. The thing that keeps me from giving Blackout 4 or 5 stars was the time it took. On the website, it states that a meal takes one and a half hours. We had a reservation at 6:45, and show tickets for 9:30, giving us plenty of buffer time to go from dinner to the show. However, we didn't get out of the dining room until 9:40. As there's no way to check the time while you're eating (no phones are allowed, naturally, and you can't see your watch), you would expect that the length of the meal would be close to the time frame explicitly stated on the website. Also, to be honest, being in the dark does affect your sense of time. When we realized this (after the dinner was over) the hostess only offered a polite apology, and no type of makegood was offered... And, as we would already be missing the first half of our show due to the slow delivery of food, we didn't have much time to belabour the issue. We did get to see about half the show (O, by Cirque du Soleil, which was good (from what we saw.)) But if a timeframe for an experience like this is listed on the website, they actual experience should be somewhat close to it (as opposed to twice as long.)

A very unique experience. The service was top notch. The food was excellent. It was interesting how your taste buds wake up and the different food textures become so important. I really enjoyed the whole experience and would definitely do it again! The drink "Onyx" was over the top! The chef was amazing and they have a great bartender too! Would highly recommend!

I went here 3 months ago with my family. I’m not going to lie, eating in pitch black was a bit unsettling at first. We did get used to it. However, it wasn’t so much the experience as it was the food. 3 months later we are still talking about this meal. Without a doubt one of the bests meals I’ve ever had. And we even went to Gordon Ramsey steak while in Vegas. This place was way better. It is without a doubt worth going to. Oh and the service was excellent.

Ok, it was interesting what your mind does when you cant see your hand in front of your face while eating a multi course mystery meal. We did not enjoy the meal itself at all but the experience was fun.

Short abs simple, this was an amazing experience. Anna did an amazing job creating the experience and deserves kudos!

Experience, food & service amazing! Out of 7 dishes I didn’t care for 1 item but I was full and super happy! Definitely will be back with friends!

My adult son & I were dining at your restaurant a few months ago. While we were being led to our table (I was following behind my son w/my hand on his back/shoulder area as directed) a server came up and literally slapped my hand off of my son’s back! Twice! I was appalled! Of course I could not see who it was but I did see the small red lit night vision lights, so I know it was a server. I couldn’t believe it. We will not be dining in this place ever again.

Blackout dining was a blast! No idea what you are eating ahead of time, 7 course meal, all in the dark. The experience was great, definitely unique and the food was delicious. The servers and staff are funny and part of the experience for sure. Go and enjoy, you won't be sorry!

My server Anthony help keep me calm with knowing I wont be able to see my food. Once seated and the food started coming...it was wonderful, I enjoyed every bit I cant wait to go back with more friends and see their reaction. This was really nice you have to go in with an open mind and try something different

Being in total blackness bothered our eyes as we were constantly trying to see. I closed mine to avoid the headaches our friends got. The food was good but not at the level you expect for what works out to $75 pp with the tip. Our waiter, Ken, was nice. Water refills did not arrive for some of us after being requested, but having to serve, explain how to eat, etc took a lot of time so I do not blame the waiter. Even in restaurants where you do not need instruction, there are usually others who are filling waters and here he probably could not see our glasses were empty so had no reminder once he forgot. Black out had one guy doing everything.

We did not know what to expect but we are so glad we experienced this. It is truly like no other experience you will ever have. The staff was really nice and super helpful. Z was our waiter and he was perfect! The food was good and worth it. My one complaint is the smell of the lobby, lets just say you can tell the restrooms are near by.

Everything is plant based which suited our dietary requirements well. Willy our server was a fabulous. They are not kidding when they say it's dining in the dark, you can't see anything. Fun experience :)

The experience was very interesting and very fun. The people that work there including our server were very accommodating and made us feel comfortable in vulnerable circumstances. The food however, was to say the least, awful. After a tasty first course we thought we were in for a treat however the courses that followed were cheap, mostly cold finger food and extremely tasteless. I wont describe the food and spoil it for others however the way it was written on the menu afterwards was like you had just eaten from a 5 star restaurant and the price...WOW, 3 couples eating together with 2 drinks each and a round of shots came to €270 per couple which was just unbelievable. As an experience, it was great but the food quality and price really let this place down.

Dining in the dark was an amazing experience! The food was great. I enjoyed relaying on my other senses to figure out what we were eating, although my guesses weren't right. The dining area was really dark and yet somehow it was still cozy and relaxing. Our waiter, Rosco, was fantastic. He had us relaxed and laughing the entire night. Definitely an experience unlike any other

So my girlfriend surprised me with this for my birthday, so I had no time to prepare myself for eating in the pitch black. I also didn’t realize when they say blackout they mean pitch black you might as well just keep your eyes closed because you will not be able to see anything. At all. Nothing. I will say it was a bit overwhelming at first but our server Nicky was amazing. She even led me safely to the bathroom when I had to go and gave us a rose at the end. We were also on a time crunch and she got us out of there right on time and kept making sure to check on us to make sure we made it to our show on time! She was amazing! The food was fantastic and the fact that it was vegetarian was amazing! I’m not vegetarian or anything but I was extremely impressed. The drinks were also amazing! I had the Rachel Collins and it alone gets fives stars. Definitely think everyone should do it once! Just be prepared to have no sight what so ever and you have to eat with your hands so make sure you wash them before you go in! Oh and you have to put all your things in a locker before you go in!

Read about this and decided to try it out. There was about 8 people starting out. Had to hold onto the person in front of you shoulders. Met new people for sure. It was fun, trying to figure out what food was what and where everything is. It did take about 2 hours for lunch. I won’t reveal what we had but it was fun. I would go again.

This was definitely an EXPERIENCE! I love trying new things, and this was a lot of fun...after I calmed down from being in total blackness. I'd looked forward to lunch here all week, could not contain my excitement, but then almost had an anxiety attack once I was in total darkness. Not sure where that fear came from, but I was unnerved, to say the least. It gives me great respect for blind people. BUT, I am so glad I was able to work through it and had the best time ever! Our server/guide, Mike, was awesome! He was very kind to me when I first started freaking out and helped me through it. He had a great sense of humor and was good at helping me and my friend figure out this sightless dining experience. The food was good, and we had the best time trying to guess what we were eating! We chose a lunch reservation to save a little money and had plenty of food to eat. We were the first diners of the day, so it was nice to not have to wait or eat in a noisy room because our other senses were already heightened due to lack of sight. I would highly recommend this dining experience to anyone who wants to try something different.

This was a different experience for sure but something I'm glad we did. I'm not a vegetarian but the food was great and we got plenty. Rebecca was a fantastic sever and the staff did a great job accommodating my wife's allergies.

We loved dining in the dark. The experience was unbelievable. The menu was different but very elegant. I would recommend going there on your next date night!

At first I thought, what a stupid idea, however this turned out to be a super fun and interesting dining experience! It is pitch black in there, you literally can not see a thing! So go with peeps you're comfortable with and good conversationalists. The staff is wonderful and cheeky! Mickie our waitress was fantastic! Highly recommend!

1) it’s Vegetarian only. They do not advertise this enough 2) Crazy loud if there’s a big party there. 3) food sucked 4) 1) I never want my sight taken away. It’s no fu to pretend you’re at everyone’s mercy. God bless those people. I’d end it. No way. 5) I’d post a pick but I can’t. Don’t go here

I looked forward to trying one of these type of meals where you cannot see your food. This experience was exactly what I hoped for overall. We had a great server who had a sense of humor and played with us as we worked our way through getting used to not seeing, choosing whether to eat with utensils or our hands, etc. The soup was very nice, but I couldn't quite guess the flavors (and we don't want to ruin the surprise). The next courses and dishes all had wonderful surprises between things you definitely recognize and things you are still guessing at. The odd thing was that with the light gone, you become far more focused on sounds, and the noises of the other diners comes through a lot louder. I would say each new group that came in was loud as they had to adjust to the darkness while talking their way through it. I thought it was a great experience, but my wife thought the food was a bit basic for the price. Overall, it was certainly a wonderful opportunity.

This restaurant is all about the experience. The food was great but allowing all of your non sight senses to work really added to the experience. The waiters did a great job making you feel safe and comfortable and enhancing the evening. Our waiter, Colin, was an excellent guide with just enough information provided with a touch of humor. My dining companion eats gluten and dairy free and there was no problem adapting the menu for her.

Awesome!!! This was just crazy enough to make it an awesome adventure. Eating in the dark, and I mean dark. It was impossible to see anything. The folks at Blackout do everything in their power to put you at ease and make this very enjoyable. The meal was interesting, exciting, and very tasty. I promised not to say anything about what you eat but it was very well put together. You will be very full when finished. A very worthwhile bucket list item for your vacation in Vegas.

My husband and I went here the other night while on vacation and LOVED it! We weren't sure what to expect but in simple terms - it's a high end, 7 course dining experience in pitch black darkness. They dont tell you what they are serving you (of course they ask about food allergies) but describe what you are feeling and a little of the taste. We loved all the food but weren't aware that we would be enjoying 7 courses so we couldn't finish our food. Ken (kenneth) was our waiter and he was great! Super friendly staff....and they're funny too! Highly recommend trying this place out!

This was so much fun! My daughter and I loved eating in the dark. It really encourages conversation as you can't see anything. It's all about touch! The food was awesome! You are not told what each course is. So it's a mystery until dinner over. Service staff was awesome! They really took care of us. The only thing is it's really pricey. The tickets only pay for meal and experience. Drinks are extra. By the time I paid and I had to alcoholic drinks and daughter had soda it was over two hundred with tip. Still an amazing experience we wont forget!

Short story: they refused to let me eat at their establishment because I have a gluten allergy, even though they advertise a gluten free menu and make you sign waivers if you have an allergy and I was willing to accept risk of cross contamination (I do every time I eat out). Long story: I have been wanting to experience this concept for years, since I heard about it on a news report. I am not a gambler, so it was the number one thing that I was looking forward to on my trip to Vegas with some family. I did my research and found that they have a gluten free menu which is great because I have an allergy. I read several other reviews about how well they were able to accommodate the food allergies of others that made me comfortable enough eating with them. When I made my reservation for four a few days ahead of time, I noted my gluten allergy in the reservation per their instructions. I received my confirmation of the reservation the day before. My family and I planned our day around this event and were really looking forward to it. I notified the hostess upon arrival of my gluten allergy (also per their guidelines). She left to speak with the chef and returned to inform me that they would not be able to serve me because of my allergy even though the allergy isn't life threatening (gastrointestinal inflammation and distress.) She said that everything was cross contaminated in the kitchen as they don't change gloves between types of meals during meal prep. I was furious. Why bother stating on your website that you can accommodate allergies if you don't put forth any effort to keep things segregated? Why are you taking the choice from me instead of informing me of the risk? Why don't you just say on your website that you DON'T serve people with allergies? Our evening was ruined. It is nearly impossible to get same-day reservations at a good restaurant in Vegas. If they could not accommodate my allergy, they should have informed me instead of confirming my reservation. I later spoke with the manager/chef to make sure I would receive a refund for the $20/person reservation fee. She offered to let us eat there (still paying full price of course) as an exception to the rule because we were upset. She assured me that they did indeed change gloves, use separate oil and do their best to segregate things despite what the hostess said, they just don't like to serve people with allergies because they could not be 100% sure as they only have one kitchen. It was too late at this point and I had lost all faith in them. The concept of accommodating allergies unless your customer has the allergy still boggles my mind. Why bother?

Wow.....what a unique experience The food was good, the service and staff were friendly and added to the whole experience One of the most memorable experiences I have ever had , not the greatest meal, no idea what the presentation was like, visually.....but still amazing Tactile and tasty!!! Cocktails were good, would have been nice to have some better wines Go there and experience it.......fantastic!!!!

We had a great time and enjoyed the unique cuisine!! It was well designed for date night and an easy Uber drive from our downtown hotel. Well organized place and clearly experienced wait staff helped guide us in the dark and gave us good descriptions of our food. Have already recommended this place to multiple friends/family!!!

Had seen video’s on YouTube and wanted a non traditional experience while visiting Las Vegas. I booked our reservation a few days in advance, which I highly suggest. Our reservation was at 4:30 pm on a Thursday evening. All indications say they don’t open until 5 pm but that was not the case. You walk in and are greeted, sign a few legal waivers, and are given a lock for a locker located near the restrooms. I suggest you use the restroom at this time. Just before entering they show you an alcohol menu and at this time you meet your server. Our server was fantastic. Added the right about of verbal humor to go along with the experience. The first 30 seconds that they lead you into the darkened dining room might get you at first. They safely lead you to your table/seat and drinks follow soon after. Once you are seated the real fun begins. You can’t see a thing, but the music playing relaxes you as you wait for your seven course meal to arrive. Everything served is plant based and at the very beginning they ask about potential food allergies. The whole experience lasts 60-90 minutes depending on your number of guests involved. For two of us to dine it was right at $200 before gratuity. It’s not cheap but it was well worth the laughs we shared. I can highly suggest trying it if you are looking for a unique experience in Las Vegas.

This experience really makes you test your pallets. Didn’t know what to expect but it reaaaally was pitch black which was awesome! I expected way more food-wise without revealing the menu. My partner enjoyed it even more than I did though, maybe because she didn’t have to look at me :-)

My other half and I went here for the evening and it was amazing! I was a little nervous what to expect but it was a great experience. Prepare yourself, it Is a little strange at first getting used to seeing absolutely nothing with your eyes open, but you soon adjust. Travis was our waiter and he was great!! I’d say he made the evening for us. He explained everything brilliantly whilst having a laugh with us. He even went as far as managing to get my other half to take a rose from him to give to me. The food is delicious and we were really surprised at what we ate. Overall I’d really recommend this place for something totally different.

Upon entering the dining room its pitch dark, you can't see your hand in front of your face. Our server was great and made this 7 course mystery meal fun and the food was amazing I might add. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking to try something different

Fun concept BUT slow service and culinary disappointment!! Won’t recommend to friends!! Won’t be back

The four of us went for dinner there earlier this week.. We had a tremendous time there. It really is dark in there. We had the seven course dinner with wine pairings. Food was quite good, not gourmet and the pairings were really quite good. Our server (Anna) was great and fun. Not for the faint of heart if you are afraid of the dark. We can now tick the box....been there done that

Me and my friend went here. We were both a bit nervous but it turned out to be a great experience. I would totally recommend this to everyone. The staff was so amazing. Our waiter had us laughing in the dark. You can’t see anything. You have to rely on all your senses. So live a little and go here on your next trip to Vegas. Well worth the price. Can’t post pics for obvious reasons. It’s DARK!!

I'm normally a budget eater, but this was TOTALLY worth the money. The entire experience was so much fun. Going in, you don't know what to expect, but my friends and I had never laughed so hard and had so much fun in a restaurant. All the food was delicious, and it's a 7 course meal, so you will definitely leave here full and fully satisfied!

When I booked this I was highly skeptical. I booked this as a surprise to my wife. When we pulled up she said, "what are you taking me to, I'm not eating in the dark." Luckily, the experience was AMAZING. Our server Willy was incredible, try to request him, he truly lobes his job and it shows. You dine in pitch black, which is odd at first, but the experience is great. I thought it wad going to be a fun experience with average food, boy was I wrong. We dined at Cut and SW Steakhouse the last few nights and the food here was nearly equal, even though we didn't know what we were eating. I was truly shocked how good the food and service was, on top of the amazing experience. You're im Vegas, just try it. It will be worth it!!!

We had a great experience, left full and with a great story to tell. JP checked us in and Anthony was our server. They both were terrific. We were nervous before going, but everything was easy and LOTs of fun to try to guess what each dish was. The food was delicious. Every course better than the last. We walked over to the Rio afterward for some gambling and a show, awesome night. Recommended!

LATE ENTRY: I am so psyched that we got to eat here! Went here over New Year's weekend with a group of friends and we had an absolute blast! The vegan food was incredible (and it was even more fun trying to figure out what weqere eating - when compared to seeing the menu at the end), and our server was amazingly fun! Although it was definitely a bit unsettling of an experience to eat without being able to see, your other senses (smell and taste in particular) were definitely heightened! I really enjoyed the drinks as well. I can't wait to dine here again!

....and fans of Ratatouille! What an amazing experience! A fun, albeit dark, atmosphere, animated and entertaining staff, unique and flavorful dishes. With 6 courses, one is inclined to think that serving sizes will be microscopic, but one would be very wrong. We were nearly stuffed by course 4! My only complaint: it is extremely pricey. Base price is $40 for just walking through the dark hallway to reach the dining room. However, I still HIGHLY recommend it for a special occasion-or just for something different!

We were a little nervous coming into it. The experience was exceptional and the staff was friendly and really enhanced the experience.

This was a truly unique experience, at least for us! We left our phones and watches (anything that glows) in a locker and entered a pitch black room. It really opens up your other senses as you smell the food and hear the other diners. The food was varied and delicious, and left us trying to guess what was in it. The conversation was great as our teenage boys had no access to their phone. Highly recommended!

The food was horrible, we did not like anything and we left right after the main entree, which was some nasty shepherds pie. I called and requested a refund and was told no. Don’t waste your money or time!! If I could give a million zeros I would!

It was a really fun experience and I'm glad we chose this place. The food was great and we had a lot of fun guessing each course. You wouldn't even know their entire menu is plant-based. Amazing!

Music was great. Dining experience terrible Food terrible. Shepard’s pie on Valentine’s Day not to mention it was 200$... I would never go there again horrible Worst meal I have ever had

Would totally recommend. I went with a group of friends and we were trying to guess the food while we tasted in the dark. It was super fun. Our waitress Anna (Banana) was extremely fun and tried a couple of pranks on us. The place is plant based and they accommodate all dietary restrictions. Try it out. PS: ask your waiter/ waitress about the weirdest things that customers do in the dark. You will be surprised.😝

We had lunch at Blackout Dining Las Vegas and had a great time. The staff was awesome and our waiter Corey was fantastic. He will guide you and explain everything as you go, telling you just enough, hmm interesting! He kept us guessing and kept us laughing. Thanks Corey for making this such a memorable night. Thanks to the chef, the food was perfect, we loved it all! Highly recommend to all!!!!

The experience is nice. It was really pitch black and I could not see the chair, table, glasses, the edge of the table, any of the other patrons, the size of the room, etc. The most you can see sometimes is a tiny infrared? light that the servers wear, but it is not enough to see anything. However, I did not like 3 of the 7 courses, which downgraded the experience. I went with a friend and we both found the main course, #5, to taste really weird. #6 and #7 were so sweet as to be inedible for me; I could not handle more than a couple bites of each. Had I had the ability to order to choose items, I would never had chosen anything that sweet. I haven't had anything that sweet in years. Some of the beginning courses were outstanding, though. It was a very tactile experience and I strangely noticed one item that I could not identify by eating, but once I touched it I immediately knew what it was. I used my hands on almost everything, even when it was not recommended, and it was a great experience. If you don't have a sweet tooth or eat generally very healthy, I would recommend this place only hesitantly or not at all (given the price). I do not plan on coming back as there is too much risk in whether the courses will be good. Also there was a strange lengthy waiver that one has to sign in the beginning with info such as address, phone number, and so on, not something I usually give to a restaurant. Not sure what the purpose would be unless they plan on suing a patron over something?

What a great experience! Having dinner in pitch black allowed for my other senses to take over. Our group was really enjoying this. Our waitress wore night vision goggles and was attentive. I felt safe the entire time. The food was fun to try and eat without seeing it ~ and as usual, I had no issues stuffing my face. Friendly atmosphere. Delicious food and it wasn't creepy stuff, just normal food but they don't tell you what you're eating until after. It's funny how eating in the dark, "opened up my eyes into seeing" how my other senses work. I will go back!

This dinner was like no other. First, it was pitch black and you had no idea what food would be served! It turns out that you have heightened senses when it is so dark. Having a mystery dinner was fun. All the food was tasty! It was a fun dining experience.

Amazing experience and fantastic food!! The whole experience is so fun and safe! I’m not the adventurous one in our relationship and very hesitantly said “yes” for my guy. So glad I did. Great greeter/host. Fantastic waiter (Ken... Kody was also hilarious). Off the charts flavors and wine pairings. The chef rivals any of the fine dining establishments in Vegas! Don’t miss this because it’s not on the Strip.

The food was delicious. They don't even let you know what you are eating until you are finished. (The menu is vegan and the will allow for any dietary restrictions.) It is weird how everything tasted familiar but I couldn't figure out what it was because I didn't already know what it was. Such a unique experience.

This experience was AMAZING!! I highly recommend. I can't really rate the ambiance , lol since it was dark. It was a blast. Ask for Joshua as your server. Just go!!

I have to admit to some trepidation about not knowing what I'd be served, but I decided to give it a try and I was thrilled with the results. Almost every bite had a wonderful combination of tastes, smells, or textures. Since no one could see me, I decided to get the full aroma of each dish by lowering my nose over my plate and sniffing like a dog. Because I was really focusing on the food, each dish was really seared into my mind. My only complaint is that we needed the wait staff to get us out by a certain time so that we could get to a show afterwards, and they failed to do so and we missed part of the show. Since we needed to leave our phones in a locker, we couldn't tell the time on our own. The Blackout management was apologetic about this and addressed our complaint to our satisfaction.

What an experience!! Don’t be shied away by price as it is definitely worth the cost and you will not leave unsatisfied or not full. Dining in the complete dark was really fun and the mystery menu made it even better to try and guess all the food and see how wrong or right you were. To top it off the food was absolutely delicious and the waiter is very helpful with describing where all the food was on the plate. A must do if in Vegas!!

The concept is intriguing!! Eating in total...and I mean TOTAL...darkness. Your senses become heightened. Everything seems louder. You are led to your table and the waiter gives you a geographic description the the table. You and your companion are then left in total darkness. You can hear the other customers talking - often discussing what the dickens they are eating (the menu is secret until you finish). The waiter brings plates and describes the geographic arrangement of the food on the plate. ("on the right are little round things in a sauce and on the left are long cylinder things in a different sauce). Utensils are provided, but I encourage you to just use your fingers. It enhances the exploration of the food. This is a way to experience food with just texture and taste. It is quite the experience. There are other things that can happen in the dark...it is Las Vegas after all. But don't get too carried away. Also, I noticed all sorts of geometric shapes in my vision as I looked into the blackness. Odd signals from my retinas (which continually produce signals) that my brain tried to interpret. The other thing that happens is the conversation with my wife got very deep and I mean DEEP. It is a wonderful way to get to know someone (if you dare) or deepen an existing relationship. She still loves me this morning, so I guess it went well... Gluten-free note - without revealing the menu (the secret is part of the fun), they can do gluten-free but many of the dishes contain fried things. They were great about excluding garlic from my dishes.

I visited here last week on a girly trip and we were all very excited about it We were sat down at our table fine Then we were given our first course FINGERS ONLY what a joke when your putting your hands in sludge and god knows what There was only a napkin and I asked for a fork to be told that it was part of the experience to you my hands I ended up using my water glass to wash my hands disgusting After about half an hour and another few courses my sister felt ill I asked the server to take my sister out because she felt ill only to be told that he was serving DESSERT I said she couldn’t wait and he finally took her out She was violently ill and when she returned we had all had enough so we asked to leave Only to told to be quiet when they showed us the menU of what we had eaten while we were in there It was a horrible experience of which I will never repeat The next day the concierge in planet Hollywood asked us how it was and we told him all about what had happened he was very concerned because he obviously couldn’t recommend any where like that So we told him to try it and see what he thought Anyway I would never recommend this to anyone My sister is still nauseous and even having nightmares about the place

Absolutely brilliant experience for a date or group meal. Dining in the dark really brings out other aspects and dynamics - increased taste and smell, but also fab conversation. The staff are extremely friendly, and the food was excellent. Slightly more than we'd usually pay, but the quality and quantity of food justified the price tag. A brilliant experience - thank you so much!

Me and my partner went there is an absolute heaven for vegans but I would also recommend to anyone as the food is amazing was so much fun it’s one of that experience you can’t miss out on when you visit Vegas I would do it again and we will be back love the staff they are funny and helpful and make the whole experience great

I took my husband along to this as I had been to Dans Le Noir in Paris and really enjoyed the experience of eating in the dark. The food here was waaaaay better than Dans Le Noir - all Vegan so no worries about what we were putting into our mouths. It was expensive but I suppose you only do this the once (or twice if you want to share the experience with someone else like I did) the staff were all good. Our waitress Shay was great and enjoyed our humour with us. They serve several dishes and all of them were incredibly tasty. It was far too much food for us both though. If you have not dined in the dark before then you should definitely give it a try. It's a good experience.

there is a check-in desk where you are explained the process, fill out a form regarding allergies, put all you stuff in a locker and then wash hands; your waiter guides you to your seat by you placing both your hands on his shoulder; it's an unusual experience not being able to see what you eat; but the experience is so well worth it

We really enjoyed this experience. The food was awesome. The service was sooo good. I definitely recommend it.

Very cool experience. Very literally BLACKOUT! You can't see your hand and inch in front of your face. Food however was very subpar. Didn't realize it was a vegan restaurant until afterwards when searching through other reviews. Had we known that we probably would not have eaten here. No where did it ever say it was vegan. Felt like we were tricked into eating vegan. Made it very difficult to figure out what each course was. Unique experience ruined by gross food :(

Wonderful, our server was Shay and she made the experience even better 10X. We had never done anything like this before and wanted to try it. It was reassuring that Shay always told us what was going on and what to expect next. The only surprises were the food tastes. They worked extremely well with dietary restrictions, checking with us to make sure they didn't exceed what we needed. Great way to spend the meal. I wouldn't recommend this for children but a great choice for adults.

Phenomenal experience. Great food and amazing service. As self-certified foodies...the menu, flavors, portions, and quality were exceptional. Highly recommend...worth the time and price.

Our time at Blackout Dining was terrible. The food was so underwhelming when it is supposed to be the main focus of this experience. There was very little flavor - just multiple courses of vegetables. I was already upset with the value of the meal but it was even worse when a surprise $45 PER PERSON admission fee was added to the bill.

My husband and I decided to go while in town for business. The food was maybe a 3 at best but the location and facilities themselves rate a 1 or even a 0. They encourage you to wash your hands before entering dining room due to the finger foods they will be serving. I was happy to comply since they made us fill out a waiver on a touch screen pad that the universe had grubbed up pretty badly. The bathroom was dirty and there was a horrible smell that hits you as soon as you walk in. We almost left. The experience itself was maybe a 4 and the service was attentive so I'll give it an overall rating of 3.. but we won't be back now that we've checked the box.

We thought the food was good. Our server was great. They guide you through each course and it’s definitely different not being able to see what you’re eating. It’s something we would only do once. It was expensive. Over $250 for two with two alcoholic drinks. Ouch. It was fun and we were on vacation so all good.

The concept was very neat. Food i was not very thrilled with... fancy feel even though you couldn't see anything. Great for a laugh but i would have preferred a menu that wasn't all vegan/vegetarian. For the price, that part ruined it for me. I would only ever go back with other people if the food was different. Otherwise just something neat and different to do for dining.

This was definitely an interesting experience. Our server (Anthony) was amazing and really took care of our group. Food was good and it was fun trying to decide what you are eating. I knew going in that the menu was plant based but definitely missed having some meat. One of the dishes had a few scallops in it so that was a nice surprise. You also get utensils but won't use them much. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because two of our eight person group were unable to handle being in total darkness and left the table to sit outside. One was offered a free shot of alcohol to calm her nerves but that did not work. Aside from that, they weren't offered any food while sitting outside in the lobby despite having paid full price for the dinner. No refund was offered either which was disappointing. Honestly, I don't think you can prepare for how you will feel until you are there. Overall, a fun and "interesting" experience,. I would do it again.

When greeted you wash hands and leave phones, watches, anything with light in a locker. We had a reservation but still had to wait about 20-25 minutes past that time before we were greeted by our server wearing night vision goggles. We lined up one behind the other and we’re led to the table in complete darkness. COMPLETE DARKNESS. The server was amazing explained how to find things on the table; water above the fork on the left of the plate. Each course was explained using very descriptive terms without telling me what I’m eating. It was very fun to try to decide flavors without color or seeing it. In the end I started getting a headache because the sounds in the room were quite distracting. At times I couldn’t even hear the person I was sitting across from at my table. Although a little pricey, the food was delicious and the experience was fun. No pictures because you’re in the dark and can’t have your phone on you.

We have gone to Blackout Dining In the Dark 3 times now and we are ALWAYS amazed at the fun and quality of this experience. We have had our server Rosco each time we’ve been and he is a hoot! The food is delicious and all vegan, but even being a non vegan, it is crazy delicious! Hands down the one thing we always try and do when we come to Vegas! Highly highly recommend!

A party of 10 proceeded to BLACKOUT for dinner.... Did we have a great time? Yes, absolutely. If you're curious and want to have a good time - in the DARK....we assure you that is the experience. As a restaurant? Well....you've got to be VEGAN to enjoy the food. (That we are NOT) All thru I was asking, when does the entree come? It never did. BLACKOUT does not reveal the menu before, or after, only during the meal in pitch dark. To be honest - I felt deceived. I left hungry - direct me to the closest buffet please. Kudos for the concept.... However we felt it should be made clear it's a vegan menu up front. If you're vegan, hey, you might give it four stars or five. We wouldn't know. If we'd enjoyed a nice entree of beef, fish, or poultry along with all those greens....BLACKOUT might score a star or two more from us. Buyer beware.

Great experience. Food and service was great. 7 course dinner will last for 75 min . Cocktails are extra $ Would recommend to other though little pricey

I went here with a friend who had this as an item on her bucket list. I was nervous going in, but this was hands down the best dining experience I’ve had (and that’s saying a lot). The food was amazing, but our waiter Anthony made the evening even better! Anthony was the best server we could have asked for! Thank you Anthony, and everyone at Blackout Dining for making my friend’s dream come true, and making the evening special for both of us!

Willie made the experience great from start to finish as our waiter and entertainment for the night. Julie was also very pleasant. It was a good experience but would prefer meat. Didn’t realize it was vegan because there’s no menu to look at.

This was really a fun dining experience. The anteroom, where you first check in, smells a bit antiseptic, which isn't great for a restaurant, but don't let that fool you -- the food is really quite good, and the challenge of eating in the dark was a surprisingly fun weird thing to do.

My husband and I dined here kind of on a whim. We are so glad we did! It was by far one of the most interesting and unique dining experiences we have ever had! You can not see a thing as it is totally dark. This helps the other 4 senses become heightened. The waiter/waitress has night vision glasses. You have no idea what you are eating or drinking, which is the most intriguing part. This is absolutely a must do experience in our book! Our server, Colin, was great. He was super informative, kind, and funny. Thanks, Colin!

I have been wanting to try this place since it opened last year and finally had a date bring me there. (Great place for a 1st date ladies, you don't have to watch what you eat because he can't see how much you are eating!) I was a little disappointed that they only have 1 menu (a 7 course price fixe menu), when they opened there was a choice of 3 different menus. The servers are all great and help you along with how to eat your food since you can't see it. You don't know what you are eating, they let you try to guess but you don't find out until you pay the bill at the end of the meal. It's fun to see how much you got correct! It tends to be a little loud, I am guessing because you can't see anything your other senses are heightened. All in all it was an interesting experience, and while the food was good, it wasn't the best I ever had. I would definitely go back to share the experience with someone who hasn't been there.

Booked this months in advance. No indication for those with food allergies. We get there and the ask is and it turns out my wife can’t eat some of the food (corn allergy) for as much as this costs they could have done one of two things better. 1.) advertise ingredient lists or potential allergens in use. 2.) contacted the person booking in advance to validate allergy issues. Arriving at a destination event and being turned away was not just disappointing. There was simply no way to recover and book something elsewhere that was going to be equal or greater in experience / value.

Of course Vegas would have a restaurant like this! I took a group of vegan, vegetarian and meat eaters and everyone enjoyed it. The service was great and the portions were huge, but perhaps too big for a 7 course meal. Forget the vegan aspect of it, eating in the dark was great fun. Take my advice and don’t wear clothes that could get ruined if you accidentally spill something. Also, wash your hands before eating because you'll use your hands at some point. Be warned: you will not know what is being served so if you're picky or not adventurous with food, this isn't your place.

This was a highlight of our vegas getaway. Yes, there was a huge crowd in the lobby but we decided to wait it out since anywhere with a crowd that large has to be something special and it was! Each course was really different from the last and we were completely full before we even got the main course. We recommend this to anyone looking for something different from typical las vegas attractions. Ask for Mike as your "dining guide"!

The food was absolutely amazing. I was so excited that it was plant based so i didn't have to ask for substitutions, and my friend who is not plant based said it was the best food she had in Vegas. It was an amazing experience. There's lockers you put your belongings in, partially to keep any light emitting sources out of the room. Then the waiter with night vision goggles slowly leads you to your table and explains what's on the table and where cutlery drinks are located by feel. You're seated next to a wall so your drinks can be put there carefully and not worry about being knocked off the table. The seven courses are brought out one by one and explained how to eat. You get to see a menu of what you ate afterwards to see what you could identify purely by taste. The cocktails were extra, but worth it (we got the blackberry mystery one with gin). Overall, one of my favorite things we did in Vegas. We were absolutely stuffed afterwards. The first three courses were my favorites but all of them were tasty!

First time here will not be the last. Truly a sense-ual experience. Reserve your spot and leave 90 minutes for an unforgettable 7 course meal. All plant based but delicious, yyou Willoughby will indulge all your remaining senses in this once in a lifetime experience. Heads up, this meal isn’t cheap, but well worth it. course pleas.

My husband and I had dinner last night with a couple of our friends. No one had been there prior, so other than reading reviews, we didn't know what to expect. After signing waivers and declaring ourselves allergy free, we were met by our waiter, Gary. Gary is great, has a good sense of humor and walks you through the meal very well. You enter the room in a line and he carefully seats you. It is black, not dim, black. Your eyes will not get used to it, you will not see your entire experience. However, after awhile you do get used to it and more comfortable with navigating your utensils. The waiters are great about explaining how to eat and where your food is. It is fun trying to guess what each course is. Some we were spot on, others we were clueless. They were all quite tasty and I was amazed it was all vegan. Even my very carnivorous husband (think Fred Flintstone eating a dinosaur steak) was quite surprised and left full. No cell phones, no glowing watches, focus on your dinner companions and enjoy the meal. A great experience. Recommend for those who have a fun adventerous side. Two recommendations.. one don't go with a time constraint... enjoy the experience. The second, there are coupons on line. They MUST be printed (really it is 2019), so find a printer or you are paying full price like we did!

All excited to eat here since we ate at the superb Dark Table in Vancouver. Friendly staff, but won’t tell you what is on the menu. Looked online and it said “a unique menu” that is all theirs. We got there and they told us it was a surprise. We asked if there was any seafood and they after pressing them they said all 7 courses were plant based. That’s right campers no proteins at all. That should be upfront and not hidden in their allergies and food restrictions FAQ tab. Angry that we wasted time so we went somewhere else. Plus, we appreciated Dark Table because all the servers were blind while here everyone sees and unused night goggles. I am not not recommending this but a bit of transparency up front would be nice especially approaching 3 bills per person.

Gross restaurant. Chair full of crumbs, sticky walls( ew how!), dirty silver ware and glasses. The food was so basic and lame and someone (an employee because we only smelled it when they walked by) smelled really bad, like a mixture of cigarette smoke, body odor and alcohol. The volume was so loud and the service was just ok. We expected more and for the prices we paid to eat in the dark, I would say it isn’t worth it. Not only were we concerned about the cleanliness of the tables, the bathroom had a faint odor of raw sewage and the toilet didn’t want to flush. Also, expect to get panhandled in the parking lot as this restaurant is located in a poorly lit and unsavory strip mall littered with broken beer bottles and cigarette butts. What a colossal disappointment

That was fun! Lots of food! The tastes were quality. Fun experiment and something different to try! Highly recommend. If you do not like vegan food, you won’t even notice. My husband is a meat eater and I am not and he was shocked when we viewed the menu at the end.

Really fun eating in total darkness - no light what so ever. The food itself was not the best but the experience of feeling for your plate, drink, silverware etc in total blackout darkness was fun. Also good to know that our server Sarah (who could see us with her infrared headgear) thought we did well it not spilling food on the table or our laps. Easier than you would think to find your mouth and drinks.

We took our entire party to this restaurant and had such a cool experience. It was so great that everyone had lock up their cell phones and actually talk to each other which I thought was really cool so everyone had everyone's undivided attention. The price was really steep but it was well worth it.

Phenomenal experience with unique food. Our family thoroughly enjoyed it! Definitely should make a reservation to go.

This reataurant is in the dark. I mean really in the DARK. You can't see anything. Your waitress or waiter has night vision glasses. You do not. You honestly CANNOT see a thing. You get a 7 course meal and you have no idea what they are serving you. That's what makes it so much fun!!! You and those you are with have to GUESS what it is that you're eating. You have no idea how big the reataurant it is. You have no idea what it looks like. You have no idea what your food looks like (presentation makes no difference) and you have NO IDEA what other people in the restaurant look like ( but you can definiyely hear them laughing and talking) I highly recommend it! The food is fabulous and the experience is once in a lifetime fun!!!

Took my mom here to experience something different, and we enjoyed our experience. Our server Collin was very humorous and helpful, which made the experience more enjoyable. The other servers were joking with us and we were laughing and having a great time! It is a bit pricey, but it’s definitely an interesting experience! The one star off was for the price.

We really did not know what to expect - but the experience would be worth repeating! My husband and I had an awesome time and pretty much ate until we could hardly move :)

Lets first start off with stating how VERY nervous I was to do this dinner! I am very picky about food textures and was extremely nervous about not knowing what I was going to eat. When we walked into the dining room, I was shocked at just how truly dark it was! I've never experienced a dark like that before and spent a lot of time just sitting there with my eyes closed. Why? Because it didn't make a difference! It's really that dark! The only light you see is the little red light from the waiter's night vision goggles. I'm stressing the darkness because there were several women that were seated with what sounded like a large group that freaked out within a few minutes of being there and begged to leave. So, if you're afraid of the dark, it's not to be taken lightly! It was easy enough to navigate the table as long as you just slid your hand to find your glass or utensils. Definitely don't just waive your hands about looking for things. We heard several glasses break during our meal. The food was pretty good but I felt like some of the courses were over-seasoned. I know that when you take one of your senses away, the others are heightened, so it was either our taste buds were extremely heightened or the food was overly seasoned. The dessert however was PERFECT and yummy! If you're also weird about textures, have whomever is with you try the course first to let you know what it's like. My husband booked the dinner and promised he'd do that for me and it worked! Overall, it's an amazing experience. I told so many people about it and will keep recommending it! Oh and, our waiter Chris was TOP NOTCH!! He really was the best!

We had reservations for 3 of us at 5pm. This being myself (woman) and 2 teen boys. We were very excited for the experience. We were staying in the Wynn and were not 100% sure how long it would take to get there via Cab/Uber and left around 4:25pm. We arrived at 4:40pm paid the driver and got out and headed for the door. The door was locked. Eeek looked around me and we were clearly out of our element in a seedy bad neighborhood with homeless people wandering around and nothing nearby at ALL!! The driver left and we were all alone. I called Blackout and they said they were busy setting up the dining area and could not let us in even after letting them know we were stranded in the extreme heat with kids. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? NO LOUNGE WAITING AREA???? So, I used my best mommy senses I could and called an Uber to pick us up and take us to a nearby gas station for a coke. Once we were let in at 5 I was EXTREMELY disappointed to see the nice waiting area with leather couch etc that was extremely separate from the dining area. They should have definitely let us in. So, things didn't start out too good. Upon walking in with my server I became somewhat anxious but was able to calm down after seating. The presentation was nice and my kids definitely enjoyed it. Food was just ok....I am a foodie so it takes a lot to impress me. Overall this was okay experience possibly a little too pricey for the way we were taken care of. Just to clarify however the server took VERY good care of us he knew we wanted a quicker experience and helped us speed up our dinner on time to get to a show. It was the hostess on the phone who could care less that we were stranded in the hot with no where to go.

Definitely an exercise in trust, our server Anthony made certain we were in care at all time - from introductions and making sure our hands were washed for the eating with hands portions to beverage fill ups and detailed explanations. Imagine your eyes closed at night... that’s how dark it is! Food was vegan, and tasty, meat eaters can always eat a burger in middle of night or for breakfast. The price and location are cons.

The food was the disappointing piece of the experience which was otherwise fun, unique and memorable. I would not repeat it but once ought be a must for those seeking novelty. Our server, “ Willie” was perhaps the best server we have EVER had. So attentive and amusing too. With no vision, you rely entirely on your server for meal assistance so these servers work harder than in any other establishment! I knew the courses were all plant based and I am pescatarian , and eat a ton of veggies and fruits so I was ready to embrace the food but sadly, every dish tasted the same!!! They have done away with the menu choices of sweet, savory or spicy , now offering a “ seasonal” menu in their place and I am wondering if we’d had a choice of say, spicy , we might have enjoyed everything more?!?!? They are generous with portions and it is 7 courses so provided you are willing to eat what might not be the best but yet palatable foods, you will feel filled! Nice touch at the end when the server gifts all of his/ her guests something to take away. Won’t share as that would ruin the surprise. A word of warning: Ths is not a “ dim lighting” dining experience but pitch dark so if that thought makes you anxious OR you have great difficulty “separating ” from your phones, this is probably not the activity for you. You are deviceless for a minimum of 90 minutes on up to 2 hours. Also, the tables for 2 are SMALL but very intimate. My hubby and I thought this a good date night option. We laughed and shared and laughed some more and and with no distractions, we were fully “ present” for each other!!!

I went this restaurant, but before I ever went in I was asked to sign a multi-page document that could only have been written by a lawyer concerned with some kind of past incident. I only eat vegetarian food when I'm in restaurants, and when I asked if I could eat a vegetarian meal, she said all their food was "plant based." Then I asked if it was vegetarian she would say no more than it was "plant-based." Well, if you go to a restaurant and it has "vegetable soup" that doesn't mean it's vegetarian; it could have a beef stock. And despite her assurances it was "plant based" the document she wanted me to sign said there could be pork and shellfish in the food! As a Jew interested in avoiding non-kosher foods, I wasn't going to sign that. In fact, their request to sign more than a simple release seemed awfully fishy, like they've been sued before for some malfeasance and want to cover their tushes. None of this was disclosed on the Web site, and I refused to sign and they refused to let me in and I left. Diner beware.

Amazing experience and friendly staff. Cheyenne was a GREAT server. Super funny and helpful. Food was amazing as well, 7 courses but small, good-quality portions. Overall it was a super fun experience HIGHLY recommend. Worth the money!

The concept really is phenomenal and the staff are excellent and truly buy into the model as well. It's an experience for foodies or non foodies alike BUT it's not without it's flaws. The facility itself was the primary shortcoming. It doesn't "seem" clean when you enter between the lobby and bathrooms which made our group nervous to enter a dark dining room where we couldn't inspect our plates silverware or glasses. The secondary shortcoming was the menu - the food is good but not great and generously portioned but *no spoilers* we were able to guess 6 of the 7 courses correctly and we're disappointed when we confirmed our suspicions of the menu AFTER eating. It's a fun time with friends but we likely won't do it again. Something just seemed missing all night! Go for the experience and find coupons online :)

Located in a seemingly seedy and rather non-descript part of LV, the first experience was not great as the check in function handled by two young staff members can best be described as rushed and curt. That thankfully changed when we were eventually seated as our server was great. The food however left a lot to be desired as very uninspired, full of carbs and certainly not gourmet. So bottom line great one off experience of eating in total darkness...but dont go there for the food alone.

If it was possible to not even give a one star rating, I would! I was definitely enthusiastic about going to this place after noticing such positive reviews. I’m not sure how they got such a high rating since the food is Terrible. Our waiter was nice but definitely not worth the price that you pay for the poor quality of food that you receive ! Don’t go here! There are so many other wonderful restaurants in Las Vegas! This is not one of them ! Please.... Blackout take note of the common complaint that most people mention that your food is terrible and the price is too high!

First off, Willie our server was the best. True professional and loves his job. The environment is certainly unique but it is something you for the experience. My fiance is Vegan and enjoyed the food a great deal. Just know that everything is vegan and plant based, so yes, try new things and experiences!
I hit the jackpot with this dining experience
Did not disappoint! I was so excited to try this restaurant in Vegas. I was searching for something different and fun. I hit the Jackpot with this place! We went there for lunch on Saturday and next time I go back I will be doing dinner (lunch = 5 course meal, dinner = 7 course meal). Each entree was exquisitely designed to entice your taste buds and your curiosity. Blackout is true to its name. The room was pitch black, the smells were enhanced, the music in the background was nice, it was fun feeling around the table for items. Corey was our waiter and he was absolutely the best waiter we had in Vegas all week. He was very calm (one lady freaked out, and that was a blessing, she was awful in the lobby), but he did really well escorting her back to the light. He was funny and entertaining. THE FOOD, you wont believe the taste of the food (you also will not know what you are eating) and that is the best part, every item sparked our imagination. My daughter and I only agreed on one item the rest was all a mystery!! and not going to lie, we CLEANED every inch of the plate! 5***** rating There is no menu (for you to see anyway) but trust me, you will love what you eat. We couldn't wait for the next course to come out. They do have a small bar menu so you can drink with dinner.
