Best pizza I’ve eaten outside Italy

By Lynn M |

Yummy food, great service, cool vibe and good value for money this is a great place to go if you enjoy pizza. It’s small and you can’t book but we were lucky enough to get a table straight away as it was a Monday evening.

Pizza and wine in a casual setting

By Mo H |

This place is comfortable and has some seats overlooking the street so it’s a great people-watching spot. Service was very efficient and the pizza was authentic. It was much nicer and quieter than some of the more touristy type places.

Great pizza and a bit different

By Samantha |

This cozy little pizzeria is a little piece of heaven. The pizza's have thin crust and are regular European sice (not the gigantic pizza's they sell on the streets of NYC). The toppings are different than what I was used to from the Netherlands, lots of meat and I'm a meat-o-saurus so.... great!!!! Service was good and we were lucky to have the last table when we entered. They placed us by the window which was very cold. I think the didn't have double windows. You could feel the wind as you sat at the bar. It didn't diminish the taste of the pizza though! a must go for a nice pizza!

Delicious pizza

By Hannah J |

Delicious pizza with a very New York feel t it. There were many locals dining and the waiters were lovely. Would recommend 100%

Top pizzas

By Stefano W |

Magnificent discovery. Absolutely magical dough, excellent pizzas. Atypical pizzeria, very friendly welcome. Top quality and very reasonable price. A sure value

Brick Oven Pizza

By @atracks |

Went for dinner. Very good service. They don’t have a ton of seeds. Probably about 72 total between inside and outside. My food radiance below. DF- 7.9/10 Mr White: 8.4/10

Bland pizza, I suggest going somewhere else.

By Steves_Rickshaw |

The pizza, the meatpacker, although loaded with toppings was pretty bland. The black kale salad was delicious. But at a pizza restaurant I expect the pizza to be the star. Staff was friendly and great. But I’d give B Side a pass

Great pizza, nice waiters

By Lia |

Went here with my husband for a quick bite after arriving in New York. Service was fast and friendly. Pizzas were delicious (also had options without tomatoes which was great!), we had the carbonara and the meatball pizzas. Wine was nice. We arrived around 6pm on a Friday and easily got a table, when we left people were queueing out the door!

Feeling Young and Very Satisfied

By Lumbar2 |

OK, everyone at B Side seemed 30-40 years younger than my wife and I but It was fun, the food was terrific as was the service and atmosphere. We sat at the bar with a pizza, an appetizer and a bottle of wine. We watched pies being carefully made and servers quickly doing their job. Great fun.

Good lunch for solo dining and people watching

By Lauren G |

Grabbed a quick lunch here while on a business trip. Eggplant Parmesan was lovely. Sat at the window and got a chance to watch the world go by.

Best pizza ever

By GrantD613 |

Awesome atmosphere, services and best pizza. May have a small waiting time to get seated but very worth it

Great food and service

By GTGal |

We stopped by here on our last day before heading to the airport. The inside is cozy, with bar seating as well as window-bar seating, and tables in the middle. There was one person working the bar and tables, and we were very impressed. He was friendly, quick, and attentive to everyone there. The pizza and roasted broccoli were delicious. I was happy to see a hometown favorite beer on tap (Sweetwater 420). Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely go back!

Lovely place

By Adam |

Me and my partner at a lovely evening there. The place was great, the service was just as good and most of all the pizza’s were amazing. Would definitely come again when visiting NYC

Omg. THE BEST pizza and service.

By Mike S |

Omg. THE BEST pizza and service. We are from the West Coast and researched where to go and we were not disappointed. The honey bee pizza is to die for!!!!!!!! And everything else looked amazing but because mine was so good I ate the whole darn thing with no room for more. We were so lucky to meet the owner who happened in and welcomed us to take a tour of how they do it and their other restaurants on the corner. What a treat and true hospitality. Five stars!!!!!!!!!

A pizzeria worth visiting

By o2_e |

It is said that when in NYC you should have some pizza. If you are wondering where to go, B Side Pizzeria is the answer. It is a small but, very nice restaurant. Most important is that the pizza is amazing.

Great pizza. And save room for dessert.

By heartlesspwg |

We were looking for a comfortable non-touristy dinner, and wow — we found it. B-side is definitely a neighborhood kind of place, with many regulars and friendly and welcoming for the rest of us too ! Not a huge expansive menu, but if you are looking for a pizza bar, this is the one. Daughter and I split a salad and a pizza, and were quite satisfied. This is one place to *absolutely* save room for dessert. On the advice of our server, we ordered the budino, which is a dense dark chocolate italian pudding with a light touch of olive oil and sea salt. Life-changing.

Great pizza!

By MARTYN S |

Wonderful pizza. Good service. Probably one of the nicest places in NY to eat a decent pizza... We sat outside in the street covered area, which was cool.

Nice meal

By Daniel |

Enjoyed our meal here, lovely pizza including vegetarian options. Nice atmosphere and friendly, welcoming staff. Nice area too, so much calmer than the tourist trap madness of Times Square just a block or two away.

After theater gem!

By AZ_Margie |

A former NYC resident recommended this place to us. After a day at the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island and seeing Waitress, we walked the few extra blocks to find this amazing pizza restaurant. Delicious crust with bits of char, generous toppings, good wine, fast service! It was Monday night so they weren't very busy and the staff was very attentive. Prices are reasonable for this quality in NYC.

Great pizza and staff

By Deaksy |

We decided to try here after reading reviews on TripAdvisor, when we arrived the restaurant was absolutely packed out on a Sunday Evening but they managed to find us a table for two. The pizzas were cooked and arrived promptly, the pizzas were absolutely fantastic, very well cooked and great quality ingredients. Fantastic friendly service would happily recommend visiting here.

What a great find!

By mikegcomer |

We searched Trip Advisor and discovered this restaurant. Would definitely visit again. The pizza was amazing with a great atmosphere in a quaint section of town. Highly recommend.

Great pizza

By Krantyp |

Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Perfect crust and spectacular flavor combination on the ‘Meat Packer’.

Great pizza

By Gadi L |

We ordered two pizzas, plain and with meat for three people, was delicious. We definitely recommend it.

Busy and trendy pizza place.

By Kathy S |

Yummy pizza! Friendly staff and fellow patrons. No individual slices here, bring a friend to share a pizza pie.

Excellent service, pizza and beer!

By Felipe Vargas Monardes |

Everything went excellent. The pizza was very good. I would totally recommend The Italian Stallion! And the Other Half American IPA beer.

Great wee find

By Cormack 101 |

Tucked away from the bright lights, this was a great find. Friendly service, buzzy atmosphere and fantastic pizza. Great choices and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.

Quiet, Friendly and Tasty

By scbcme |

A few blocks away from the noise and crowds of Times Square, B-sides offers some amazing oven fired pizza and fast friendly service. It’s a bit off the main areas but still gets busy as dinner rolls around. An excellent choice though if looking to get away from the crowds.

Fantastic Food and Service

By Joan88 |

Ahhhh...great choices. My husband and I split the eggplant parmigiana and a wonderful pizza with caramelized onions. Brilliantly, the server (also an actor, and so very dear), brought each dish separately so neither got cold! We didn’t even think to ask! Incredible tastes. Loved each bite and had a slice leftover! Convenient to Broadway! No reservations but we happily got a table for 2 at lunch. Definitely recommend!

Quirky and delicious

By Jen H |

We had a fantastic meal here. The wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable about their menu, it was reasonably priced and had a great atmosphere. Definitely happy we avoided the expensive tourist traps and found this little gem.

Great Pizza

By Jackfish28 |

We had the don hoe and a salad and the pizza was outstanding. Our tab with wine and drinks was 50 bucks. Would highly recommend

Fantastic

By Glen G |

I can’t say that it was the best pizza I ever had but it was pretty good and I would definitely return. Very busy but the staff was great and the food came fast.

Nice overall

By adriansandu1990 |

Visited in January for lunch. Nice location, good choice of pizzas. The pizza i ordered was somewhat oily and it felt heavy but i am sure it’s not usually the case judging by the number of positive reviews. One other thing, it would be useful if they could insulate the windows ( i was sat facing the street and wind could actually blow through a small gap in the window frame).

Quick, helpful, and friendly

By TheMedlWaffle |

Great little restaurant, I ordered a pizza on the phone was able to make a substitution on a complex pizza and it came out great. Pizza was ready right when said it would be and was hot. Tasted delicious with a nice crunch and lots of rich flavors.

Hidden away a little, but worth it

By David R |

Great Pizza, and an excellent beer selection. I had a day solo in NY after some friends had to leave a day early, and so ran across this place pretty much by accident wandering around. Food and beer were excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming

Reliably Delicious Salads and Pizza!!

By Carinmaine |

On our first night In NYC to see a couple of Broadway shows, I took friends to B Side Pizza in Hell's Kitchen for what is a reliably delicious place for dinner! Four of us shared the Arugula Salad and Black Kale Salad and the greens were fresh and the flavors were spot on. We shared a large Marge pizza and the crust was thick on the sides, thin in the middle, and enough for everyone to have a few pieces! Oh!! I almost forgot to mention that the prices are very reasonable! My friend from California raved about B Side the rest of our visit together!

Amazing

By My2020 |

I enjoying everything is great food i get slice pitza and the pasta i am . I am sure i am back the bagel was amazong

Amazing !!!!

By Gaby629 |

Absolutely Amazing!!! Awesome service , and amazing food ! The killer be is phenomenal! Very small place very clean very a must do when in the city I would absolutely recommend to anyone who loves quality food and service , a bit pricey but I never mind paying for an amazing experience and amazing food

Quick bite before the theater

By FinGin79 |

My son and I were in Manhattan for a quick visit and were in walking distance of the Gershwin Theater so we checked TripAdvisor for a place to pop in on the way for a lite dinner. What a great choice we made. B Side is small and tucked in on 51st just off 9th Avenue but the atmosphere was inviting and the staff was very friendly. And that’s not the best part. Delivered within minutes, hot from the oven, was a wonderful, crispy pizza that, I believe, was called a Frank White. Accompanied by a pint of ale or glass of wine , both red, it was a perfect and fast meal. Two blocks later we were at the theater. We would go back even if we didn’t have later plans.

Great food and great value

By EileenStewart |

Thought we were going to the restaurant next door but glad we ended up here. Food was delicious and pretty good value. Great service.

Believe the great reviews

By fuzzy09 |

We loved our visit. The Killer Bee Pizza is great and so is Marge. We also enjoyed the eggplant Parmesan. If anything could be better it would be the seating arrangement. In any case, we will certainly be back.

Excellent & interesting pizzas

By TreeDeeTraveler |

First time in NYC since 2020 and had to return to B Side. Everything still as good as we remembered with healthy starters and a pizza list that is difficult to chose from - have been partial to the Killer Bee but will have to chose another next time... Nice beer and wine selection as well.

Great food, service and ambience

By anikoPrincetonusa |

On our way to the theater, timing along great food and a drink was essential. The restaurant delivered. Friendly staff in a great setting. The pasta was cooked al dente with a tasty sauce along with a delicious glasses of wine. We will return.

To recommend without hesitation

By LesDEMANGE |

We went to eat pizza around 9:30 p.m. after a musical and the welcome was perfect. The pizzas are excellent and the waiter is adorable.

Small place... food was INCREDIBLE

By Danielle B |

Small place... food was INCREDIBLE Staff super friendly. Worth the walk! Meat packing pizza = incredible

Quaint and tasty!

By Sherry M |

After walking the busy streets around Times Square, this place was an oasis. Quaint little restaurant that serves up some of the best pizza I’ve tasted. The ambiance was quiet and the service excellent. We had the kale salad and the Killer Bee. The perfect pre-show dinner for two.

Excellent traditional thin crust pizza!

By Mary-LuciaB |

It was fabulous we loved the service and the wine but the real show stopper was the food….loved the burrata and figs and the meat packer pizza to share. Delicious and casual, perfect for our first night in NY!

The place to go for pizza

By FIG |

Small restaurant as many are in NYC. We got lucky to be seated immediately for dinner, and there was a 30-45 minute wait for those arriving after us. Try to sit where you can see the brick oven since it was a treat just to watch them make and bake the pizzas. We enjoyed a Marge and a You Got a Lot of Balls.

Better than most Italian pizzas we know

By htc32 |

went there late after USopen tennis final. The waitress was really sweet, let us in although it was just about too late. We have a house in Toscany and know about pizzas, but we have to confess that the pizzas here were better than most pizzerias we know in Italy. A really good experience.

Food was just okay

By Timo |

A nice, small, much recommended restaurant. The interior was stylish and urban. Staff was friendly and helpfull. But the pizzas were tasteless and a bit too crispy/burnt. We had The Meat Packing and Killer Bee pizza’s.

Yummo pizza!

By mishmosh_1 |

Yummo pizza! This was just the right spot we were looking for after a long day and we were waaay to hungry to function! High quality everything and casual cool vibe. Not touristy or too loud. We got a carbonara pizza and one killer bee and ate the leftovers for b-fast the next day. Chocolate pudding dessert was nice too!

Quick delicious lunch

By Schspa |

We stopped by before catching a play and were seated quickly. Delicious pizza. Would go again for sure

Great food!

By Inbal Y |

Small but worth a visit. Very good pizza, and the best grilled avocado I ever had! The place is a bit dark, but we had a great family dinner.

Highly recommend!

By abbieNEW |

Lovely service and even better food! The pizza and pasta were so tasty, and served quickly. Nice little dinner stop with my daughter during our trip to NY. Would definitely visit again!

Exceeded expectations

By Stuart S |

Visiting and took TA'S reviewer advice. The best pizza ever for the four of us. It is very popular so get there early and be prepared for quite tight seating. The Tiramasu was terrific too. 2 should share.

Fresh, unique wood burning pizza

By Crash309 |

Cozy nook for good pizza - highly recommend; I'll return for sure. Counter or high top table seating.

Love it! We ate this 2x

By mishmosh_1 |

Love it! We ate this 2x on our trip. Killer bee pizza, carbonara pizza, oscar the grouch pizza, kale salad, rich chocolate pudding dessert are faves. Delicious! Fresh! Friendly service too. Cozy laid back neighborhood place vibes. (Currently they have only beer and wine at the bar.)

Great Pizza

By neenMaroochydore |

A great pizza restaurant in Hell's Kitchen. We decided to try this restaurant based on other trip advisor reviews and it was very good. We went at lunch time and didn't have to wait for a seat. The pizza was delicious. The service was excellent.

Pre-Broadway pizza

By Kfpkaufmann |

My daughter and I enjoyed a relaxed and timely dinner before a show. Delicious pasta, exceptional kale salad, and tiramisu that was over the top. Don't miss this gem of a spot near BRoadway!

Pizza on the edge of midtown!

By cglynn724 |

Excellent pizza close to midtown! The salads and pies were delicious, service was attentive and atmosphere was lively. Will be back!

Small place but delicious!!!!

By Genevieve61 |

Just amazing pizza and salad at this whole in the wall kind of place! Great for reasonable priced dinner! Lgbtq friendly although I did not feel out of place at all.

Unbelievably great

By Ron R |

Unbelievably great, in a town of good pies. The imaginative menu provides a new world of pizza toppings. They also have small plates that look great and I cannot wait to try next time. There will be a next time. Quality ingredients. Great service.

refused because of the stroller

By Petrit07 |

We walked 30 minutes to go to this restaurant because we saw the good comments, but we were disappointed because the waitress refuse us to eat inside because of the stroller, even there were nobody inside and they had enough place inside. I am very disappointed.

smelled and looked like poo

By HAYLEE C |

the building looked like poo and smelled like it and the food was GROSS it has a hair in a like a big ball of hair and it smelled like throw up i hated it and i dont recommend it to anyone ITS GROSSSSSS

Really cool place - just great

By Jeremy R |

This is well worth visiting - really excellent pizza, great atmosphere, super-imaginative side dishes/starters and a very cool atmosphere. Service is very good, yet laid back and unpushy, drinks are great and we loved it. We queued for a few minutes (sitting on the benches outside) and waiting was absolutely the right thing to do. Recommended without qualification

Traditional

By s0x |

Lovely little pizza restaurant away from the hustle and bustle. Very friendly staff and lovely pizzas.

Best Pizza in NYC

By George |

Went with my wife for a quick bite, great food and really quick service. I can highly recommend the 'You Got a Lot a' Balls' (great name) and my wife loved the Carbonara pizza.

Fantastic pizza at a great price

By Ash S |

Ate here last week after reading all the positive reviews on here and it’s brilliant. Didn’t have a starter as from an Englishman’s point of view, Brussels sprouts aren’t up there with my favourite starters, however the pizzas are great! Everything you could want from a pizza and at an affordable price. Definitely give it a go if you’re in the area!

Definitely don’t deserve to be on top 100

By Bahadir M |

Their menu is simple just like the taste of their pizza. I had way better pizzas then theirs. I am shocked to see them rank this high on here. Save your money and get a real good old NYC pizza some other place!

YUM! And quick!

By Stacey E |

Delicious pizza, salad and friendly staff! We were starving and food came out quickly. Service was good.

Great casual pizza with a twist

By Steven N |

B Side has a great menu with really different options for pizzas and sides. Quality is excellent and a great variety of wine and drinks.

Certainly in the Top 3 Pizza's that I've had in New York City.

By Roberts69 |

You can't go to NYC and not have Pizza at least once... We ate at B-Side Pizza on West 51st Street and we really enjoyed our pizza's. Were they the best we've had in NYC... Not 100% sure but they are certainly up there in the Top 3. I had the Meat Packing ($25) and my wife had the Carbonara ($23) and both were delicious. We also had the Roasted Brussel Sprouts ($17) which were good too. Service was good as was the ambience in this small and cosy NY Pizza place.

Not NY style pizza --but fantastic little place!

By Naturelvr319 |

Quaint little place with delicious fast pizzas. Wonderful service. This is not your typical NY Style pizza but rather tasty, fresh unique pizza. We had the meatball pizza and the sauce and spicy meatballs were a great combination. Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice place in Hells Kitchen area.

Tasty wood-fired pizzas!

By Kim W |

Restaurant was small with very high tables. We were seated right away without a reservation. We ordered 2 pizzas for our group of 4. The pizzas were tasty with not an overloaded amount of toppings. The crusts were perfectly cooked. All of us enjoyed them. Would recommend them if you are staying in this area.

Cozy mid-town, fun & fine food

By Jim S |

Romantic cozy little pizza spot with window seating looking out onto busy West 51st. Perfect for us, our first evening in Manhattan this visit (we come for a few days most every year). Spicoli pizza tasty, as was the Burrata salad. Fast service, reasonable prices for excellent food. A reminder of what we love about NYC; a memorable Manhattan experience! ♡♡♡♡

Experience the atmosphere

By perrettaa |

Looking for a pizza just off Times Square then this is a must. The fact it was busy and busy with locals says it all. The service was great and importantly the food good. It's a must visit

Nice cozy casual atmosphere, good food, highly limited menu, high prices for portion size and just pizza and salad

By AMS E |

Cozy place with nice service but very limited menu with above average good food at fairly steep prices given small portion size and type of food (pasta, pizza, salads only)

Sensational!

By Nat |

This place is amazing! It was my birthday and I wanted pizza and beer - this place was perfect! Lovely little outdoor seating area heating, so cute and cosy, service was outstanding, had a couple of local beers and a pizza each - proper woodfired oven pizza that came quickly and tasted sensational - absolutely recommend the Carbonara pizza. This place is off the beaten track and not your typical tourist trap, very impressed!

Fab pizza

By LoopBond |

We found this place by accident and so glad we did. Pizza was amazing and great wine choice. Pizza was so good we went back the next evening for dinner. Really relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Can’t recommend this place enough

Small fine restaurant

By Fam. |

Good Italian pizza and very nice service. Free water. In the middle of Time Square, a small fine shop. Gladly I recommend.

A Little Slice of Delight

By Anabel W |

I came to NYC to visit a friend for a long weekend. She lives in Midtown and had come to B Side multiple times. Upon her recommendation we went together. We went on a Friday night around 7:30PM. The restaurant does not take reservations. We had a very reasonable wait time for how packed it was (20-25min). I was absolutely delighted with everything we ordered. It was some of the best pizza I have ever had. The menu is small and concise which makes ordering very easy and not overwhelming! We ordered the brussel sprouts as an appetizer (best ones I have ever ordered) and shared the Sicala pizza. Everything was bursting with flavor and mouthwatering. It was the perfect amount of food for the both of us. We were incredibly lucky to be seated facing the open windows to the street. The weather was absolutely perfect! The service was wonderful and the ambiance was cozy and lively. I absolutely recommend this wonderful little restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen!

Little better

By pascalk1600 |

We are disappointed despite glowing reviews of this restaurant. We ordered a salad and two pizzas. The salad for over $20 was just salad without any ingredients. The pizza toppings were relatively greasy. Otherwise, nothing to say about the service, the outdoor terrace is positioned along the sidewalk

Pizza before a show

By USNYTraveler |

Found this place was close proximity to Richard Rogers theatre to get pizza & wine before a show. No reservations allowed as its a small place. 7 or so 2-top tables and small bar/window bar for diners. This is not your ordinary NYC pizza. Whiles its not even close to fancy, its all spectrum pizza place where everything 8s unique. Wife got green & pear salad and I roasted Brussel sprouts to start. They were super good. Bitterness matched with some sweet tastes and panchetta.. and an egg. Pizza was the peurco loco. Gotta use a knife & fork, but its a delish pizza if you like sausage. 2 salad/starters, a pizza and 4 drinks = $100 plus tip.. but thats NYC. would recommend for quicker bite before a show thats a laid back place.

Sorry guys - not very good ...

By spangle2003 |

But good. Shame 3* is average on TA since I'd rate as good-3*. Not 4*-Very good. So apologies the rating is average for that reason alone. The intent is clearly good, brick fired oven blah blah but the pizza for me was just good. The annoying burnt bits on the edges didn't help (as another reviewer noted). I'm afraid I've been tainted by other fine pizza I have as reference yard-stick. Not that I'm saying all UK pizza is good - some are pretty crappy however for such a highly rated restaurant in NY ...

Good priced delicious gourmet pizza

By Grecia J |

I came here with two other friends on a hangout night we arrived at 11:20 more or less, the waiter attended us relatively fast, the young girl was very friendly. The drinks came right away, we ordered one pizza and only waited about 10-15 minutes for it to be on my mouth!!! Last but not least ... fresh ingredients and delicious taste! I recommend the KILLER BEE pizza

Excellent and nice!

By FM S |

Excellent pizzas (pasta too), great service, and nice terrace hut (heated) when you haven't reserved.

The Pizza Go To Spot!

By JVedrosNewOrleans_LA |

The great reviews and location brought us here on our first night in NYC. It was a great choice. Loved the grilled avocado! Will definitely try this at home. Pizza was so yummy!!! Quaint place to dine. Highly recommend.

Good pizza

By Armando B |

Good pizza, soft and crispy dough, slightly sweet tomato. Pizzas are served, already cut, on a serving plate on two levels. The cost is quite high when compared to costs in Italy but in line with New York prices. Friendly and kind staff.

Great place, really good pizza

By parkerw2014 |

We went before a matinee and were very pleased with the choice of salads and pizza. Started with Brussels sprouts and they were tasty. Ordered Marge pizza and Carbonera pizza. The Marge was very good and light. The Carbonera was pretty heavy (included a soft boiled egg in the middle), but good. The beer on tap selection is great as well. It must be good, Trevor Noah was eating lunch there as well.

Worth the wait

By BecLaird |

We had arrived on a long haul flight and wanted something close and easy. We walked down 9th and there was a queue outside B side. Wow was the pizza worth the half hour wait. The two pizzas were fantastic! Perfect bases, toppings were out of this world, flavours were superb. Atmosphere is casual warm inviting busy. A perfect place for a great pizza out in NYC.

Wonderful pizza, outstanding staff

By Alexander Braun |

Was there with three friends, each one had different pizza, all delicious. Was served within 20 minutes, and great wine not too expensive.

fantastic pizza

By orangelollypops |

our friends who live a few blocks away took us here on a weeknight. it was packed and deservedly so. we ordered meat packers and puerco loco . they were fantastic . perfect crust, nice burnt edges like a wood burning oven creates, high quality toppings. great service and a quaint spot. must eat here.

Family dinner pre theatre

By Luke C |

Great pizza - really great - lovely atmosphere - cool decor - friendly staff - quick service. Loved it

Best ever

By pierreleg |

Best pizza I had for the last 10 years!! It’s a must !! Service is very good and ambiance is nice. Just outside the crowdy streets. I will return for sure....

Great find

By billyboyg30 |

Great spot in theater area. NY type spot, Great choice of craft beer. Friendly Staff. Terrific pizza. The best black kale salad is a must. No reservations but worth handing out

Really fantastic pizza

By Jimmy Kristensen |

Walking from 7th to 9th down 51 street the area looked more and more of the grid , finding a little restaurant, written so highly about on TripAdvisor? I really had a difficulty understanding what could be so good. But very nice waitress seating us , and ordering a good beer served ice cold and with a smile I started to think it could be good, then ordering the Carbonara pizza with an egg , yes this was the most fantastic pizza I had tasted all my life. This must be on my bucket list every visit to NYC.

Cool pizza

By Frank Hoskins |

B Side is a very super pizza place. I've been to several times, but now I'm writing a review because I need to try this place. D.F. pizza is one of the best and dessert I recommend classic tiramisu, but Budino is good too. Recommended place!

A+ for B-side

By hobbes73 |

Great pizza, friendly vibe and welcoming staff. Really enjoyed the food. Don Ho pizza was really nice. Only tiny thing, wish they did Coke Zero.

Great NY Pizza!

By dmmeador |

We arrived in NY mid day and needed a quick meal. This restaurant was a few blocks from our hotel and decided to try based on TripAdvisor reviews. As usual, we were not disappointed! The food was fantastic and the service was quick, friendly and efficient. We will definitely return on our next visit to the area.

Pizza and Kale Salad

By Michaelkasperski |

We stopped for lunch, we will return. Baked pear and kale salad, followed by pizza. What a delight. We can't wait to return, next time we will have the Killer Bee pizza. Definitely worth a visit.

Great Pizza in Hells Kitchen

By ShakkalakkaBoomBoom |

Found this little gem on our first night in NYC. It's a very busy pizzeria and worth the wait if there is a queue to get in.Every night we went past it was full so must be doing something right. A pizza is between $15-$20,we had one to share with a grilled Avocado salad, both delicious and enough for us. Most people where doing the same.

Pizza is exceptionally good (skip all other items on the menu though)

By xbxbxb |

We went with 2 kids, each wanted a different kind of pizza so we thought to just box what'll remain (our kids NEVER finish entire pizza, obviously). I was surprised when there were barely a slice left from each of the pizzas. Each of the kids finished his entire pizza. I grabbed the last bite - and indeed the pizzas were really good. Pity they don't serve coffee (at all). A high-quality espresso would be a nice addition to the taste and the atmosphere.

Worth the Wait

By AndrewShack |

Great food, wonderful staff, and a lovely meal altogether. The wait was 45 minutes+, but this is by far the best pizza we've ever had in NYC.

Delicious dinner with family of 4

By Surfcity333 |

We chose this place because it was a short walk from Times Square and because the reviews were so good. We were not disappointed! Welcoming staff, cosy atmosphere, good craft beer, outstanding pizza. I would go her again and will recommend to anyone I know who will be visiting NYC. Our two daughters ages 8 and 12 also really enjoyed themselves. They had no trouble finding a pizza they liked. We weren’t starving so split two pizzas between the four of us. Go here!

B side delight!

By natesha k |

Tasty, fresh, prompt service. Would like a few more selections of pizza, but overall great experience.

Best Pizza ever!!

By CorkGirl1974 |

Arrived with husband and 2 kids with no reservation. Quickly seated and drink order taken. Ordered 3 pizzas between us and ate every slice. They were delicious. Would highly recommend and kids enjoyed the food too.. highly recommend

Really good pizza!

By Amanda K |

From passing shops with pizza by the slice I was dubious about the New York style of pizza but B Side certainly proved me wrong. We ordered take away and it was super quick. The pizza itself, delicious. I had the DF with added egg. The hit of chilli really made it. Thank goodness, we are only visiting, otherwise I would be eating this at every opportunity.

Great Atmosphere and Food

By J B |

This is a small, lovely restaurant and our party of six went twice. Each time the servers managed to seat us after a reasonable wait. The pizzas are great , as is the service. I’d also recommend the cauliflower dish and the desserts. A little too much air-con on our second visit meant we were a little cold so bring an extra layer just in case, or B Side could turn the air-con down a little please.

Amazing!!

By Nicole B |

We visited for tea in December 2019...Best pizza I have ever tasted!! We had the Marge and the Carbonara pizza!

Very nice place Pizza’s are

Very nice place Pizza’s are different then the normal Pizza menu but so nice. Service was perfect, no stress all was organised very well. The whole restaurant is put together very cleverly. I was overlooking the kitchen and they been so professional and clean. All been prepared from scratch i did not see anything frozen. One of the chefs was making fresh meatballs (you do not see that very often anymore) not the cheapest italian in the neighbourhood but definitely one of the better ones.

The best Italian pizza

By Mark Dawson |

The best Italian pizza i've ever had, it tastes fantastic!. Wonderful service, lovely staff. Price was very acceptable for the quality of the food. Had an awesome dinner here.

Awesome pizza and peeps

By Nancy S |

ok.....let's just say the pizza was AWESOME! We got the pizza with honey...new to us from the West Coast...and now I have a jar of honey in the cabinet. The pizza is soooo good and the crust is awesome. Not only was it delicious, but they were sooo nice. The owner came in and he was so nice and took us on a tour of his restaurants all connected on the corner...who does that? An owner with pride in his business and he has earned it. Worth going to. it's not fancy or big so not a reservation type place....but worth ducking into for a slice

Pizza ok

By Fabio V |

Small place but very hospitable , persolne polite and quick , good Neapolitan pizza , great dough , perfect cooking , slightly sweet tomato , but "are tastes" .. if you want to eat a pizza like in Italy , you have found the right place

Pizza heaven 😍

By Travelling Foodies |

Delicious base full of flavour, perfect stone base from a rustic over. There is nothing more you could ask for from a pizza. the the food too quickly

Great Pizza!

By kristinn901 |

Love the pizza and location. I have been to Manhattan 3 times and have gone here every time. I would eat here every day, but want to try other food. I am a vegetarian and travel with some that are not, but we all love the vegetarian pizza options.

Fabulous Pizza

By Lisa R |

So glad we found this jewel of a restaurant for fantastic pizza. Fresh, authentic ingredients and wonderful crust. If you love pizza check this small intimate restaurant out .

Great pizza!

By surf_golf |

We really enjoyed B Side Pizzeria. The pizzas were great and the place had a cool atmosphere. The service was good as well.

Great service and good food

By Fredrik A |

Really high end pizza place. Prices though are also a bit high. $70 for a couple of pizzas and beers.

Small but Tasty

By Mark D |

A small pizzeria in the Hells Kitchen area of New York, a safe enough area although you're are starting to get off the tourist trail. Great pizza, brilliant flavours. Cost around $20 per pizza, we shared and with a drink each and top it was $45. The restaurant is tiny and you are very crammed in. Service is fast.

Excellent food and service!

By Shara |

Great food and excellent service! We were glad to stumble across this place, we ordered two pizzas and salad and everything was great.

Good pizza

By RicciF1020 |

We had come to this area to go to a different restaurant that turned out to be closed so we found this pizzeria right down the street. Had the Killer Bee and the Marge. Both were very good but not so much that we want to go out of our way to return. Service was excellent though.

Pizza ok wine great

By badrax |

The food side disappointment and early closure They do not stay open as listed and close early with kitchen shut down even before that The wine bar is pleasant great ambiance and food quality and value Extreme nice service

Fantastic thin crust pizza

By Mlbag24 |

Fantastic thin crust pizza with excellent toppings and great names for the dishes. Tiny spit, walk-ins only but friendly quick service. Will definitely return

Great visit to BSide

By redsue137 |

Found this place on the off chance when looking for somewhere to eat on a recent trip to NUC Bar staff are very friendly, pizzas are great-and a great selection of wines. Had a great evening there and would highly recommend

Great pizza with outdoor seating

By NCtravelz |

We've been coming here for years, but first time since the pandemic. The outdoor seating was excellent and the service was stellar, as always. The two of us split the Don Ho and the Brussels Sprouts and it was the perfect amount of food. Great cocktails as well. Still one of my favorite places in the neighborhood.

Do you pay students to write your reviews?

By Sylvia K |

Just got back to our hotel after visiting B2- the sister location at 47th and 9 as we wanted pasta and the original location has only pizza. The brussel sprouts came highly recommended by our server and online reviews. I couldn't get through a third of the small portion. Burnt, sour and heavy with oil. So much for a healthy option. Hubby had meatballs and finished it but scored it a 2 out of 5. Folks at surrounding tables were subjected to burnt pizza. Our server didn't even ask how the food was. Don't walk- run away.

Really good pizza

By sunnygirl1969 |

Really great pizza light base & unusual toppings. Wine, beer & cocktails served. Cool music, good atmosphere & really nice staff. Really enjoyed.

Listing is wrong there's nothing vegan

By MarkB_global |

TripAdvisor listing said they had vegan options. They don't. I don't generally expect a pizzeria to have vegan cheese, but if they say they do then they should. Simple really.

Great pizza and atmosphere

By Mayfair18 |

We make a stop at B Side Pizzeria on every visit to New York City. It’s a restaurant that has consistently good service and good. It’s a small restaurant, with some high top tables, bar seatIng and stools that face the street. In my opinion these are the best seats! In good weather the windows are open and it’s so enjoyable to be seated there especially for a couple. B Side has a variety of pizzas on their menu with unique combinations of ingredients. On our last visit we tried the Puerco Loco and it was delicious. They also have a variety of beers and wines on tap. Josh always takes excellent care of us whether we come in for a drink or a meal or both. New York has a lot of pizza options but this is one of our top picks!

Great pizza in a so so setting

By Aydin T |

Pizza is great by all means. Service is good too. It's just the seating is a bit tight and tables are small. I will go so but not as a group.

Salads and Pizza were amazing!

By Jeneric94 |

This restaurant was right around the corner from our hotel and is an easy walk from the theater district and Times Square. The kale salad was our favorite. The roasted avocados salad was also fantastic. The pizza was perfect and will now be our go-to when in the area. The staff was friendly and attentive. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the food preparation. It was an added bonus seeing that the food was all fresh and the preparation tables and cooking utensils were all clean and well maintained.

Oh ya bud a real treat

By getatChris |

Get one with not a large amount of toppings on it. The ones with more toppings don’t really cook to a crispy finish in the same way. All is good but for real do yourself a favour and get one like the honey bee one.

Lovely wood fired pizzas

By Bigliz1 |

Amazing wood oven pizzas in a vibrant cosy restaurant. Very quick and friendly service. Would highly recommend for families.

What a great place for pizza and more

By fe111 |

What a great place for pizza. What really makes it good is that they not only have a great oven for pizza but they roast other food as well. Great roasted , cauliflower, Brussel Sprouts, and pears. We even saw an avocado dish on the menu although we have not tried it yet. Fairly small place but tables seem to turn fairly quickly. We think it is a great place for a glass of wine and a Pizza , and then throw in some Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Hell's Kitchen Delight

By David T |

B Side Pizzeria is everything New York pizza should be: tasty, slightly dark on the crust, and covered with delicious toppings. We split the DF pizza. The red sauce was just noticeable and accentuated the other ingredients. Chorizo sounds odd for pizza, but works well. Not too strong. The wine complimented the food and the space is small, but friendly. We will be back.

Excellent pizza

By mrswilliamson |

Checked this place out based on reviews and we were really happy with the pizza. Good vibe, fresh ingredients and a great range of pizza to choose from. Base was light and a perfect wood fire base. This place is small so maybe you may have to wait for a table but it’s worth it. The staff and chefs were friendly and efficient. Will be back.

Great vibe

By AdventureDocs |

Terrific little pizza place in Hell’s Kitchen. Had the Bee pizza and GF and the cauliflower app. Just a good vibe and a nice spot. Will be back.

Decent pizza

By Matt T |

Been wanting to visit B Sides for a while now. Pizza: 6.7/10. I really wanted to write an outstanding review for this place but we waited 35+ minutes for two pizzas. No reason it should’ve taken that long. Be better B Sides.

The BEST pizza!

By Caryn |

This is by far one of the best gourmet pizzas I have eaten! My husband and I enjoyed the Carbonara pizza. We also had the avocado appetizer, but I do not feel I can give an honest opinion as I overlooked the fact it had anchovy sauce and it is not something I enjoy. My mistake. Service was also phenomenal!

NYC pizza!

By Luv2travel |

No reservations accepted, therefore we had to wait about 45 minutes for our party of 6 to be seated. Smaller parties were seated quicker. We ordered the Carbonara (comes with an egg in the middle), El puerco loco, Spicoli (my personal favorite), Meat Packing and the You got a lot a’ balls. We also ordered appetizers, the Bacon and beef meatballs that were amazing and the smoked prosciutto & parmesan cubes (who would of thought almonds would go so well with this dish)! We ordered a bottle of wine and craft beer. We were all very pleased with our selections. Prices were typical NYC. Pizza size is shareable for 2 but could be eaten by one person if you eat larger portions. Definitely recommend this place!

Fast, tasty and great service!

By somebodysmother |

Staying in Manhattan and wanted pizza for dinner. Chose B Side Pizzeria and so glad we did. Went early on a Sunday night and was able to be seated without a wait at one of the two vacant tables. It was quite busy (it’s a small place). We ordered a Marge pizza and the chocolate pudding with cracked sea salt, olive oil and whipped cream. Both were excellent. Friendly and fast service! Will be back.

The best pizza

By JB M |

This place serves exceptional pizza. We had a 20 minute wait at 5:45pm so come early if you don’t want to wait. Once we were seated the service was attentive and the pizza and sides arrived in just a few minutes. The waiter checked in periodically. For a side we had the roasted Brussels sprouts. They were tasty and a generous serving, enough to share. I had the Spicoli pizza ( vegetarian) and my partner the carbonara. They were excellent. The place is quite small but nicely appointed. This place did not disappoint.

Great pizza

By jack s |

Had a pizza with my family and it was great, service was good, friendly staff. the place looked nice!

Right choice in the Hell's Kitchen region!

By Marco B |

Excellent restaurant! I went to B Side after a play on Broadway and the choice was the right one. Great atmosphere, delicious food and good service. It is in an area with other restaurant options, so there is movement on the street.

A really nice pizza

By Nina S |

Really good and nice pizza with „other kind of Toppings“ like meatballs! The pizza would be also accepted in Italy! Means the pizza was nice! The service was ok but not more! A good recommendation if you have a pizza need european/italien style!

Amazing barata and pizza.

By KerrieLS |

Amazing barata and pizza. We thoroughly enjoyed stumbling on this pizzeria. The tiramisu was pretty hard to fault too

Excellent experience!

By Sandi P |

There are so many pizza places in NYC and as visitors have to guess. I used Trip Advisor to help us find great NYC pizza. B- Street had great reviews so we went with it. 9 of us! No reservations. Walking in, it was really small and all we saw was a long counter that was a possibility. But almost immediately they took us an low and behold there was a larger room downstairs. Great service. Great salads and great pizza. They are all the same size, smallish. So we ordered over 8 pizzas to accommodate the men/boys! Everything was delicious . And the ‘Pain Killer’ drink was really good too!!!

Quality Pizza

By Gary C |

A small establishment and does not take reservations. We ate Sunday lunchtime and it was not too busy. Pizza was one of the best. Would certainly return.

One of the best pizza's ever eaten

By Fabio D |

Perfect pizza, close to a authentic italian pizza but with a small American twist. We were seated very quickly which was unexpected and the food was served fast as well. Price was very acceptible for the quality of the food. Had an awesome dinner here.

Great pizza

By clowncrasher |

Really tasty pizza. Salad with beets was delicious. I had the veggie pizza with prosciutto as an extra topping.

“B” Spacca

By Robert Z |

B spacca, e la verita daverro, top top quality. I got for take away. It’s a little less watery than pizza in Italy which makes it even better. But it’s the same thing and you have to get it right. This and numero 28 are the best in the city. If you want something better go to Chicago or the Bronx. Mediterraneo at 66/2 is similar as well.

Just Delish

By Elena Alonso |

Being from Miami and not having good pizza, we found this place coming back from the MET. i am so happy we did because it was absolutely a delight, light and full of flavor. Definetely a must if you are in the area.

Real Deal Pizza

By Michael V |

When in NY, you must have NY pizza and B Side bakes legit pizza. The crust here is devine and the crust is what makes or breaks a pizza. Also enjoyed the zucchini salad; nutritious and flavorful.

One of the best pizza in New York City

By Florian |

We quickly got a table. The service was very friendly and the pizza tastes fantastic! It was worth the visit!

The best!

Love this small, charming and special pizza place. Wonderful service, great pizza and a good beer list. Warm, cozy, will return.

Nice Place for Pizza and Brews

By Mike41157 |

Stopped in for lunch one afternoon and were treated really well by Josh, who was very knowledgeable on their wine and beer offerings. We had the burrata salad to start, then moved onto a fresh salad with a nice piece of grilled salmon for my wife and a 12" meat pizza for me --- everything was fresh, well-made, and tasted great. They had two excellent IPAs on tap that I loved while my wife tried the difference between an on-tap white wine vs a glass from a bottle. The place was neat and clean, offered plenty of seating, and prices were very fair --- we will definitely return.

Good pizzeria

By dams |

Very good pizzas! As we love them. Dough thick enough and fairly well filled with taste Welcome to the top! Quiet enough, music not too loud

Highly recommended

By Julia L |

In a one-week stay in NYC we came here three times - the food was delicious and the service was consistently extremely kind and personable. Will definitely come back when next in New York!

Lives up to the reviews

By Williseeitall-1994 |

We stayed in Hell's Kitchen during our trip to New York and i spotted this place on Tripadvisor. I was so pleased it lived up to the reviews. There was a good range of choice of pizza, the food was amazing and the service incredible. If you are travelling to New York, i would 100% grabbing a bite to eat here.

Crowded, Adorable, Delicious

By Scott S |

Tiny storefront had us waiting on the chilly street for a while before we were even able to give our names to a host (they don’t take reservations). Once inside we were packed tight along with other diners in the warm, charming, tiny pizzeria. The reason for alll this popularity began to come come into focus when our delightfully friendly and knowledgeable server arrived quite promptly. Then the scrumptious roasted avocado we had as an appetizer made everything clear. A couple squeezed up at the bar seemed to be falling in love and I couldn’t blame them given the candle-lit, Mediterranean small-town ambience and insistently thrumming electronic rock music. Our pizza, called a “meat packer,” was rustic, piping hot, and heaped with hammy/sausagey/bacony pork goodness. I could have done with less prosciutto and more cheese, but I’m old school. Thank goodness we didn’t see the dessert menu until after we’d paid the check or we would surely have been seduced by some sort of Italian chocolate pudding with cracked sea salt and olive oil.

Not your usual 'signature' 12" pizzas!

By Bob D |

We were pleasantly surprised by B Side! Small, clean and extremely fast and friendly service. Very unique pizza combos - not your usual 'signature' 12" pizzas." Drinks were well made. Two pizzas and drinks (2 beers, 2 mixed) approx $100.00 w/o the tip. It's New York - no surprises! High'y recommended!!

Expected Better

By Michael H |

Just kind of OK. Pizzas look good but lacked much taste and should be a bit crispy. Wine pours are very short. Staff is terrific though.

Spicoli and the kale salad are good here.

By NikaNumber1 |

It’s small inside, 4 booth tables, two two tops, 8 bar spots, 10 counter spots and several patio outdoor tables too. We ordered a kale salad, Spicoli 2.0 and a Killer bee pizza. $67.50. The Pizza place checked off of this trip, the most carby and cheesy meal of the week for us. Don’t do much gluten or cheese at all. The kale salad is good, one of the better kale salads I have eaten. There are outlets by the counters, a nice plus for us out of towners running low on charge while walking around in the city site seeing. Watching our pizzas being turned in the brick oven, that’s good stuff. The pies here are smaller, which is all fine. The Spicoli was the better of the two pizzas. The killer bee has big ham slices on and a rather light drizzle of honey. Could use a bit more. I only could taste it on the crust for some reason, as it must have dribbled off the pie mostly in the oven. Spicoli and the kale salad are good here. Service was good.

Delicous Pizza!

By RachelRoamsAround |

We found B-Side after researching restaurants near our hotel and it ended up being steps away. We are very happy we found B-Side. It is a small place so you can expect a wait but luckily we got a table quite quickly. I ordered the Marge and my friend ordered the Spicoli but added meat to it. I loved my pizza- awesome thin crust and it was very flavorful. We ordered lovely Portuguese wine. The staff all is very helpful and polite. Awesome find!

Excellent service and possibly the best pizza I ever ate

By Kevin C |

Went there for a late-night meal. We both ordered a different pizza and shared them. The Meat Packing was good, but the Italian Stalion was absolutely delicious! Both were extremely flavorful and cooked to perfection.
