Been at this trendy restaurant couple times in the last six months. Food quality is very good, ambiance is cozy and seating is too close for comfort, service is as expected, bills are definitely upscale!

If only the bathroom wasn't so dirty. It would be a 5, but honestly a shame. A bin full of papers, dirty, very bad looking. The rest is good, good food, good service. High price but it is in an expensive area.

We were invited for dinner by family. Italian at its best. My tuna tartare & veal Milanese was excellent. My partners bisteca was also good but a little more fat than we are used to. Service was efficient @ not to busy.

Cool place to meet up for a lite meal or just an espresso, I believe I ate the octopus salad while meeting a date there. Not bad. No rush service, just like Italy..sit and relax and have some fun

This is our favorite Italian restaurant in the city. Everything is delicious, I can't narrow it down, it just depends on what you're in the mood for.

Chose Bar Italian based on other reviewers. The food was quite a disappointment... Pasta was cooked well, but bland and no taste - not what I'd expect from a 25-35$ plate of refined wheat. Making matters worse is that later the same day we took a flight returning to Paris and Delta served a pasta that was better... In Economy! This is such a pity as the service was impeccable and waitstaff were attentive without being oppressive. Fire the chef and give these waitstaff some food to serve they can be proud of!

A pasta that would be a good logo for this restaurant would be linguine with squid ink--which is a black and white dish. I say that because the walls of the restaurant are painted white and the paintings on the wall are black and white. All the waiters wear black pants with white shirts. The two TV sets are tuned to TCM with black and white movies showing (the sound is off). When a color movie is being shown, they adjust the TV to make it, you guessed it, black and white. Now, in regards to the food, it is good (there is no rating ball to fill in above that represents "good," just "average" or "very good"). In all of my 50+ years of dining out, I don't think that I have ever had a better grilled octopus than the one I had here as an appetizer. It was served over a bland hummus, which served to moisten the octopus a little. The waiter was very enthusiastic about the Bucatini Amatriciana. Although I thought it was good, I have to say that I have had much better versions of it. I like a pasta that has a lot of extra sauce in the bowl. In their version, there is just the smallest amount of extra sauce. For some of the dishes, the prices are above what I think is reasonable for a Madison Avenue restaurant. For example, $48 for an order of short ribs for one person.

This Upper East side place was just okay. The waitress persuaded me to choose a bolognese sauce on my side of pasta, rather than the marinara I requested. I should have insisted because the bolognese tasted like school cafeteria fare. Bonus: Woody Allen was at the table next to ours and he actually spoke to us!

This could be our new favorite restaurant in NYC!! The trattoria tmosphere is casual, energetic and the Italian speaking staff is most welcoming & very attentive. The food was some of the most wonderfully prepared and genuine Italian fare that I've had this side of the Atlantic! My main course was a perfectly cooked tagliatelle ai fungi that was bursting with flavor! Two in our party are gluten-free eaters and they were raving about their GF pizza main course & the GF table bread. Apps included a menu special of cauliflower soup which was light & flavorful, and a fantastic burrata caprese. For dessert my friends had house-made gelato and they were loving it! I recently spent two weeks in the Veneto Region where tiramisu comes from, so I thought I'd give it a try for my dessert at Bar Italia... you know... to see how it compares. I was NOT disappointed!! Dare I say, this light melt-on-your-fork version was the BEST I ever had... Anywhere!!! Add to that great coffee and I was in heaven! Can't say enough about this place and I can't wait to go back!

Really nice restaurant. We tried a couple of appetizers and also a bean soup, and everything was delicious. Just the restroom wasn't clean enough.

I have been here 2 times for lunch. Food is good, service is good. If you manage to get a table on the sidewalk on a sunny day even better. I recommend this place.

Happened to wander into this restaurant while walking along Madison Avenue. Beautiful neighborhood spot. Outdoor tables. Perfect weather. Large menu with all the usual Italian favorites. I opted for 2 appetizers: caprese salad and prosciutto and melon. Both delicious. Sat at bar and served by a very friendly lady bartender. Homemade gellato for dessert. Will return next time in NYC

Hey it was super. Obviously a place to go as so busy. Despite a booking we had to wait. Staff very accommodating and polite. Our waiter from Argentina was sooo good. The wine was from NZ. The food was superb and they tried so hard to make it perfect . No complaint even though we sat in the street as people hadn't vacated our table. Got a bit cold but they continually offered to move us inside. Preferred the cold to the noise! 😀

We had the restaurant in good memory from the last time and therefore we booked it again. Nice atmosphere, delicious pasta, fast service, reasonable prices. If the weather had been nicer, we could have sat outside.

I met friends at Bar Italia yesterday....here are my thoughts: Ambiance: Very classy and clean. It reminded me of my favorite Beverly Hills Italian place, which is one of the few things I miss about living in L.A. Service: Excellent. Servers are friendly and helpful, patient and quick. Food: Here is where Bar Italia strikes out. -- Crab Salad - I ordered this expecting fresh crab on a lettuce with nicely sliced grapefruit and avocado. What I received was a lump of mayo with a bit of crab in it, "garnished" with limp pieces of grapefruit. I ate one bite and had to send it back - it was just nauseating. And for $32 I couldn't politely force this dish down. -- Tuna Salad - Servers were gracious enough to replace my dish with the Tuna salad (avocado, tuna chunks, capers, asparagus). This was marginally better but to be honest the tuna appeared to be canned and for $20+ I thought this was disappointing. -- Chicken Salad - My friend had this and was happy with it. She's a regular and only eats chicken salad in most restaurants. It looked decent. -- Corn Salad - Another friend ate this and appeared satisfied, although it was super simple and also overpriced. Pricing: Here is where Bar Italia loses another star. I paid $36 for just my portion (the only additions to the above was one coffee and a side of asparagus). I understand supplementing the Madison Ave rent costs but I left the restaurant hungry and unsatisfied. Overall: Maybe the pastas are good and that's what I should have ordered? Not sure if I'm an anomaly since reviews are decent for Bar Italia. Still, I don't think I'll be returning.

recommended by Italian friends; great welcome, familiar environment, excellent quality of food; excellent Trentino bubbles that I did not know, and I come from Trento... there will remain in the heart and palate!

We eat often at Bar Italia for both lunch and dinner. Not only is its Italian food scrumptious but it is also a mere few blocks from our house. It is pricey but I highly recommend the restaurant.

Lovely restaurant on Madison Good , friendly service and nice ambiance It has a small bar area as you enter , good for a wee drink before or after dinner Nice food , would I go back.........yes ! Only thing I DIDNT like was they added the gratuity to the bill , this is wrong. You should be able to add what you feel they deserve at the point of paying

We popped in here to escape the rain - and were mesmerised. We already had lunch reservations for that day but made a resolve to go back another day. Oh - how glad we were to go back. The food is INCREDIBLE. Fast, efficient and friendly service, coupled with amazing pasta dishes made this a real meal to remember. If you're visiting NYC (or even if you're a local) make an effort to get yourself down to this hip and fabulous restaurant.

Excellent service, pizza good crust but expensive, nice setting and crowd watching. Try the gelato excellent and toucan get one scoop :)

Another fine dining experience at Bar Italia. Good drinks... friendly service... great pasta. Upper East Side prices, but worth the price. Very nice atmosphere. Professional service.

On my morning walk on a recent Saturday, I stopped for lunch on Madison Avenue -- the restaurant looked modern and beautiful and there were at least 10 wait staff in attendance in this relatively small restaurant. Absolutely beautiful, and very attentive service. Over the next hour, another 20 or so people joined us -- this is a restaurant for beautiful people watching. The food -- not so much. The Minestrone soup was relatively tasteless and none of the vegetables had any character. Fried calamari featured very fresh squid, but a tasteless coating and much too much oil. The bread was a bit dry and perhaps even a little stale. $50 for a light lunch -- service and venue fantastic -- but the food really should be better at this price point.

Simple but amazing food and wine. Good ambience coupled with very pleasant and helpful staff! Great experience overall!

Excellent place to stop for lunch on Madison. Fresh salads, authentic veal bolognese, rich and flavorful carbonara, professional and prompt service. Very welcoming place on a street not famous for friendly service.

We arrived without a reservation, and we received a very friendly welcome. I had salmon which was a generous portion. I had mashed potatoes as a side which was very fluffy. For dessert I had chocolate cake which melted in my mouth! Everything was really tasty! The service was excellent! We wil be very happy to return, and we noticed that many of the other guests were regular guests here.

I met a client here for a business lunch. The chicken salad was fine - the chicken was freshly prepared and was tasty. I arrived right at opening at 11:30 - I thought it was odd that they were setting the tables outside on the street as it was 53 degrees...but then after I was seated they opened the french doors to make this an indoor-outdoor. Seriously?! - it was 53 degrees outside on a mid-November day. I asked to be reseated further to the back as it was uncomfortable - I was reseated ...but it was still uncomfortably cold. The lack of good judgment in choosing the ambience over comfort has me question everything about this place and I will not choose it again.

Do not go to this restaurant. Rude and impolite. Too bad as the food is good but being a New Yorker, I have many choices and there is no reason that one should be treated like I was.

First experience on a Saturday night after hearing so many rave reviews. I purposely did not read anything before going to ensure no bias. Four of us celebrating a family event. At first glance, the menu is ridiculously expensive for what it is. Seriously ... $30 bucks for a small bowl of pasta is simply a reflection of a NYC address. Anywhere else in the pasta eating world in an amazing Trattoria these dishes would be $19 to $21 at BEST. Appetizers: Capresse follows same theme of overpriced and small serving. $16 for that Capresse is absurd. Polenta... we expected more of a baked "cake" rather than scrambled mush with mushrooms. The taste was there but the execution is not. Service was choppy and clunky.. borderline frustrating. There are like 10 guys bouncing into one another in what appears be a symphony of forgetfullness. A good example is that we never even heard any specials or similar overtures before ordering. And the primary courses are all about $50. I can well afford the price .. but the value is not there. Too many other AMAZING places. Having eaten Italian everywhere, including Italy, we are going to score this a 2.8 out of 5. If you like to follow a crowd to be able to say ME TOO.. then go. Just have a sense of humor about the price for the value.

Average food but poor service. Our server doted on the other tables but neglected us throughout. She forgot to bring my wine until we were halfway through our dinner. She offered the other tables more bread and extra drinks but rushed us out. When she brought the payment reader out she held it at an angle so she could watch me enter the tip. Extremely rude. This place is a few blocks from our apartment but we will not return.

My daughter and I were shopping on Madison Ave (sigh) and found this through app urbanspoon, which has a 'nearest' on its front page, and ratings. Table for 2 available. It's a local not a tourist. Full. Buzzing. Black and white decor. Diners mostly in black and white. Long narrow space, tables close together, seated quickly. Lots of waiters. The menu was very appealing but the tagliatelli al tartufo jumped out at us, not cheap at $66 (forget if that was me converting to Aussie$ or not). Black truffles. When we spoke to the waiter, he said they had white truffles in especially for NYE that night as well, not on lunch menu. Twice the price. We had a full black truffle plate and a half plate white truffle. Plus glass bubble each. One mouthful and time stood still. Can't begin to describe. Great restaurant, great taste experience.

Amazing restaurant, perfect for both Lunch and Dinner. Romantic for couples and quite enough for a business meeting. White decor and tasty food! Highly recommend

Dennis and his team makes this Resturant consistency great. The team is always on to alert make sure that everything goes well. This is one of our favorite restaurant in NYC. Well worth the visit.

The location is terrific and with the weather mild, you can really enjoy your pasta or carpaccio or salad on Madison Avenue. My problem with Bar Italia is - it doesn't spoil me. There is no follow up on my meal - no second glass of wine, no special feeling. The food is fresh and good and the prices are solid - but I need to be welcomed and it seems that they are doing me a favor by serving me. I am usually well dressed and smiling - so maybe I'm just not fabulous enough?

The covid slowdown has enhanced leisurely sidewalk lunches on Madison Ave. Bar Italia does it well with attentive service, great drinks & sublime food. My wife was relieved to see tables well spaced. Food was excellent. Of note, carpaccio de manzo, grilled octopus , cetrioli salad were just right for sunny breezy summer afternoon. We all enjoyed it.

Went to this charming spot on the upper east side for a late afternoon lunch. The staff was very attentive. Started with a refreshing tuna sashimi which was perfectly dressed with alight lemon-olive oil dressing topped with a tangle of arugula. Next came the truffle pasta topped with fresh black truffles. While the $49.00 dollar price tag may have seemed high the portion size was so generous I could not finish it all. This was accompanied with a perfectly chilled glass of Domaine Ott.

There is a lot to like about Bar Italia. It is beautifully designed— modern, bright and comfortable. The wait staff, all wearing red ties, is professional, very capable and not at all pretentious. The food is very good, well prepared and properly served, but unfortunately not memorable. The vibe is interesting. It is relaxed, but definitely has amore upscale, chic feel than UWS neighborhood restaurants and restaurants further east on 2d and 3d Avenues. So what is the catch. Nothing really, except Bar Italia is expensive.

Very good food. Super friendly and competent staff. Nice outdoor seating on Madison. A little "sceney".

Never have I felt so welcomed to dine in a restaurant in nyc. The service was kind, swift and well paced. Food was fantastic, fresh, current and cooked to perfection. We can’t wait to visit again.

Had lunch with my husband. The service was really good; the chef came out of the kitchen and greeted us; that was really nice! The food was good, not beyond. I ordered a tartare and my husband ordered the risotto. The ambiance and vibe of the place are really cool; everything is white with beautiful b&w pictures of Italian divas in the walls. In my opinion, the food is really expensive but we receive an excellent service from everyone in the restaurant.

Too pathetic for words. Pseudo hosts exhibiting "spray on" charm and infinite crocodile smiles. Plastic people, chattering over-loudly while reveling in the non existing ambiance. If this were not discomfiting enough the food was colorless, odorless and tasteless. Without changing an iota this could be a winner as a cameo for Saturday Night Live. The only thing absent was Nero fiddling over a flamed replica of a baked Alaska (oops -did I say Rome).

Wandered into Bar Italia yesterday to get a light bite and loved it. The setting is simple and clean in white, service excellent and the food absolutely delicious. We just wanted to sit down and have a light bite and found it to be a wonderful find. Their homemade pasta was fantastic and the service really made you feel welcomed. I am sure you can have a very nice meal at Bar Italia with a superb list of homemade pastas offered with a very adequate wine list to pair. And as said before grad service to follow suit. Delicious!

Had Dinner last night 5-10-16 , food was ok , the decor is cute , but not the waiter , very rude bad attitude and never check on us after the food arrived , in my way out we chat with the maitre d' , I din't say anything because of my friend , we tip more than 20 % , don't want the bartender and busboys to pay for the unprofessional waiter behavior.

Loved the cozy atmosphere , had small bites to grab. The staff was very accommodating, my guest had many allergies , they helped with all issues and brought an allergen free lunch. I will go back there to enjoy the great food and hospitality.

We absolutely love Bar Italia. Whenever we stay on the UES we always go to Bar Italia. We love the ambiance, the white walls with the over sized pictures of Italian movie stars. It is a very open and inviting space that manages to be cozy without being cramped (as many NYC restaurants are). As we had my 8 month old nephew with us, we were seated in a comfortable booth in the back which afforded a lovely view of the whole restaurant. We always gets the beef carpaccio to start. I had the tagliatelle bolognese, my sister had the salmon and husband had the spaghetti al pomodoro. The service is always friendly and efficient. They have a great selection of wines by the glass and bottle and they know how to pour a drink (wink, wink). We love Bar Italia and it will continue to be on our list of places to go when we are on the UES.

We were desperately looking for a place to have an early pre-concert dinner on a cold winter evening and there it was! Unassumingly elegant (all white and black décor) cozy place on Madison Ave. We (two couples) had swordfish, red snapper, stuffed crepes and carbonara - all were highly praised. Side of polenta was extraordinary! Nice glass of wine too, Not inexpensive, mind you - after all it is Madison Avenue between 65th and 66th! Staff very resolute, friendly without being overbearing and efficient. Definitively would go there again!

Very clean, modern look to the place. Food very good, but seating was tight (we were a large party). Service good and prices fair.

If you're looking for a quiet place on Madison Avenue with very good food - this a place. 5 stars for everything: food, service and atmosphere!

Excellent food with a nice environment, although the tables are to close to each other. Typical European restaurant with good service and decor. Excellent pasta and salads. Will go here again. If possible and if there a good day, try to get a table at the street.

We hadn’t eaten here before but the restaurant looked inviting and we gave it a try. The tables are a little crowded but we managed. The service was excellent as was the food. We split a beet salad and each had pasta. The bolognese sauce was very good as was the mushroom sauce. Would recommend

Great Madison Ave location. Superb food. Very accommodating chef. Great for people watching as well.

We went for the second time to Bar Italia because we had such a good time the first. Ten or twelve people for a birthday party the first and just the two of us for our anniversary. We were remembered by our waiter and were offered a lovely seat in the back of the restaurant. Our dishes came out the way they were supposed to, hot and flavorful by an attentive wait staff and a concerned management. Shared the red and yellow roasted beet and goat cheese salad, and the pappardelle with mushrooms and the boned dark meat chicken in a wonderfully flavorful tomato sauce. For dessert, we shared Gelato, Come and enjoy!

Canteen quality food with upscale restaurant prices - $49 for pretty dry veal milanese with no sides seems to be on a higher side.

Another fine dining experience at Bar Italia. Good drinks... friendly service... great pasta. Upper East Side prices, but worth it. Very nice atmosphere.

Bar Italia is one of the best restaurants I have been to in all of Manhattan and as far as Italian, forget it!!! Super classy with bits of nostalgia....

Went for dinner New Years Eve - just saw this little place as we walked to Laduree. Very good selection of wine by the glass, had the Super Tuscan that was fabulous. The paparedelle with mushrooms was excellent. Pizza outstanding, gluten free penne had amazing sauce. Just like grandma makes at home....literally.... my daughters grandmas sauce is exactly like their's...totally crave worthy. Surrounding us were other patrons, speaking Italian which made it even more authentic. Wait staff were attentive and happy. A lovely NYE dinner .....highly recommend. Also note, based on the location we did not find this over priced....it's Madison Ave in New York City. Did you expect Mid west prices people!?!?

We love Italian food and I gotta say Bar Italia is one of the best we got in the city. Very clean space and food was amazing !

I want to start by saying I never write reviews I usually just don’t go back if I don’t like a place, but this was one of those experiences where I left feeling like I wasted my money, and days later it is still bothering me. My husband and I took a spur of the moment drive into the city to walk around and grab lunch. We saw Bar Italia and decided to try it because it was cute and we love Italian. Long story short the prices are outrageous for what they offer. We spend $150 for 2 glasses of wine, 2 pasta dishes that were flavorless, and a bottle of water. They offered us bread that was not fresh. It was just extremely disappointing. I make better pasta dishes at home. Also, way too many staff members constantly at you’re table. And the kicker was that one of the managers came over and physically tried moving my husband over as he sat in his chair so he wouldn’t be so close to the table next to us (they are practically on top of each other) when he could of just asked him to move over. No one ever sat next to us either so I don’t know why that was such a big deal. Will not be returning or recommending.

All white with movie theme, a "see-thru_ TV screen showing Warner Classic Movie cuts. Photos of old time Italian actors and actresses. Seating a little tight when full (luckily only half full when we sat down. Not a significant "bar" area and everyone has to pass right by so not a comfortable bar for seating. Food was great - the restaurant week desert was full sized but other courses were bite size. Wait staff friendly. Truly enjoyed our lunch.

Had a degustation dinner with my daughter it was amazing! The food was as good as it get anywhere from New York City to Italy. Grilled octopus, seared ahi tuna and pasta with white truffles were out of this world. Service was great and the pace is intimate but has a great comfortable contemporary decor that makes it very comfortable to be in. Top of the list in NYC for some thru Italian food.

Beautiful restaurant, in a great part of Manhattan. My fiancée had the Pappardelle ai Funghi, and adored it, saying was the nicest dish she'd ever eaten. I had the Lasagnette alla Bolognese, which was very delicious. The service was brilliant. Friendly attentive staff, where our glasses were always kept full. Will definitely visit next time we go to NYC.

Stopped by for a cocktail and dove into the menu. Service was friendly, helpful, and fun. Quaint restaurant with outdoor seating on the sidewalk. Loved everything about our experience.

Good Italian restaurant, with friendly service . A good spot near the MET when you want to rest a little.

This is an elegant little place up 65 th and Madison. The courteous service and personal attention to detail stands out in welcome contrast to a lot of restaurants which hustle and bustle, it being Manhattan. The food is also fresh and well prepared.

Bar Italia is very conveniently located if you are shopping around that area as there are not many places for lunch or a drink. It is too crowded and the seating is too tight but the place is quite nice...... the tables are so close to each other that you cannot have a confidential conversation. Food is good and service is acceptable (not outstanding).

Great food and service, convenient location. Fresh ingredients, simple classic dishes. Enjoyed the atmosphere, buzzy yet relaxed.

This was a fun restaurant for our family gathering of 8. The service was good along with the atmosphere. My meal was just ok (Branzino fish), and when it's exceptional food (it wasn't), the price doesn't matter- read between the lines here. Not much else to say, as when on vacation, only the best works.

Hidden in a residential/commercial area of Madison Ave & 66th Street, this restaurant was a total surprise discovery. Very unassuming front and interior deco, it complements with quality northern Italian food that is light, simple, fresh and savoury. Everything is good there. The space is tiny but creates a sense of eat-in kitchen and warm ambience. The best treat I had there was the summer truffle tasting menu!!! The fragrance and taste of it was good enough to tolerate the restaurant's imperfection - the dripping Air con right above my head, and the slippery waiters or bus boys.

Not even the indifferent attitude was Italian in any manner. Great location, with a little more spirit and welcoming vibe this place could work. Unfortunately our visit was totally diametrical to the weather, cold and drab. Hopefully they'll show some of the Italian flair some time soon!

The monochrome decor with large prints of Sophia Loren, Dean Martin and others is all very cool and matched with crisp white linen and smart table settings, this restaurant looks the part for Madison Avenue. We sat at the bar and had excellent service. I had a delicious tea infused mocktail - just the thing for a warm day. Foodwise the story wasn't so great. I had a simple mozzarella and tomato salad which was ok but the both ingredients were pretty tasteless. My friend had a pasta dish and he left half of it - it was a veal dish and he said it tasted awful.

Dropped in on the way back from Bemelmans and was looking for a light diner. Nothing particularly wrong with the place but service wasn't particularly attentive and seating a little cramped. Okay if you get a place outside but going into the Fall, the venue may be a bit restricted.

sent by friends, owners of travel agency... greeted with great warmth, excellent dishes of Italian tradition.

Brought here as a treat for a friend's birthday, the ambiance drove the night. Everything was white and sparkly and flickering and special. Creative drinks were available and sampled: pleasant. Our dishes were visually appetizing (mine was a spinach and ricotta stuffed ...not ravioli but pasta pretty and really delicous). The special risotto with blonde asparagus and shrimp, however, - was....too white ("congee"). I wish the bread sticks were not in plastic and that we had been offered more than one piece of bread. Chocolate cake for the birthday boy had thick chocolate frosting (delicious) but I could help feel like the cake had just been defrosted. The tiramisu was an ample piece that all four of us enjoyed. The staff was very friendly and gave us just the right amount of attention at just the right times.

We come to NYC several times a year and stay nearby. After a day of travel we want a place that is casual, reliable and consistent. Bar Italia delivers on all accounts. Good Italian food at, for NYC, reasonable prices. Also, has a terrific energy and neighborhood vibe.

The ambiance is lovely. Excellent customer service. Full of local people. To begin, we ordered the carpaccio di manzo and tuna tartar. We had a veal Milanese as main course. Very nice restaurant and tasty food. Excellent location in the heart of NYC.

Bar Italia, located at 768 Madison Avenue, is an Italian restaurant that combines authentic cuisine with an elegant and welcoming atmosphere, appreciated by a discerning clientele accustomed to eating in Italian restaurants. The place is known for its cleanliness and relaxed atmosphere, with attentive and professional service, often supervised by the Owner himself. The dishes on offer range from classics like Pappardelle with mushrooms, rigatoni Bolognese and chicken pizzaiola to more sophisticated options like taglioni (price $76) getting good reviews for the quality of the ingredients. However, some customers report above-average prices compared to perceived value, a critical point when compared to the overall experience. The restaurant also offers vegetarian options and dietary accommodations on request, demonstrating some versatility. Desserts are also good, among which Nutella crepes. Ideal for romantic dinners or relaxed lunches, Bar Italia stands out for its classy service and attention to detail, while being recommended especially for those willing to spend a little more to enjoy an elegant experience in New York’s vibrant food scene

Great food nice location with outdoor dining. The wine list is very reasonable and the service was excellent. We started with the beet salad and the asparagus antipasti. Then a spaghetti special and a Pappardelle with mushrooms. All was great. Passed on desert because we were full. In the summer when the front is open it can be a little loud due to street traffic but still very nice.

Used to be in but now seems out with a bizarre clientele of older socialites, single parents with teen age children, and out of towners. Very over-priced food, icy pre-prepared $25 salads, bland over cooked Bronzino? limited wine list. Can't compete with other nearby and more upbeat options such as old standbys Elio's and Lusardi's.

Nice restaurant. Simple but comfortable. Very good food. Italian type. And very nice people from the waiters to the manager. Very cozy place

Just happened to find this beautiful little restaurant on Madison. It is so beautiful and offers a wonderful array of dishes. Great service. The one weird thing was the manager chastising the bartenders about the amount of alcohol they were pouring in front of all the customers to see and hear. It was shocking and disrupted our beautiful lunch date. All in all, this restaurant is a great choice.

The ambiance is a plus. Classy but not overstated. The service is friendly and very personal. As for the food, we had the Sunday brunch, which was good value. Of course it was not excellent. But for a price tag of 35 dollars at that part of town, I have no complains. Nice deserts, especially the cassata. Good wine list and very good grappas

This is an outstanding restaurant. We have eaten here numerous times and enjoyed the many entrees offered both on the menu and the daily specials. The extensive wine list is enjoyable as well as the waitstaff and omnipresent chef/owner. I would recommend reservations as it tends to fill up quickly.

Had a lovely cocktail afternoon here Friendly staff Very authentic Seen other guests dining and the food looked delightful Definitely coming back!

Small, professional and delicious. A great place on Madison Avenue far enough away from the Central Part crowd.

Good place, good service, good food! Although its a bit pricey, but you know... Upper west side is included on the check... Its worth the visit!

My wife and I returned to Bar Italia and had a friend join us for a very enjoyable meal. Drinks food and service were all very good.

We went for dinner on a warm October night, just friends enjoying dinner outside on Madison....but our waitress simply forgot we were there. Drinks came after meals were finished. It was truly funny. We ended up calling the restaurant to have the coffee sent out as no one would come to the table. The fun part - they were not that busy. Food is usually great, fresh - I realize I got them on an off night....but if you would like your wine with your dinner - maybe you have to tell them when you sit down. Oh and order your coffee then too!

This is my favorite Italian place, it is so nice I love it. Food, service...everything is just as it should be!

The food, service, wine, the food, the atmosphere, the food... superb from beginning to end! The chef/owner Dennis treating us (and every table) as if we were long-lost friends. We'll definitely come back and definitely recommend to all!

I always eat here when in NYC. The food, atmosphere and location cannot be beat. Sitting at the bar, when dining alone, is superb. The service is very good, along with variety of the menu, even though I end up eating the same thing every time. The beet salad is not to missed. Excellent pizza, along with a great wine selection by the glass. I highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed.

I would try somewhere else before going back here. Stopped in here during lunch time. Looked at the menu and decided to only have drinks based on high prices. Staff were pretentious. Drinks were okay, nothing special. Very tiny place, but that’s expected in NYC. Bathrooms are by kitchen. We ate Italian the night before in the theater district and it was much more reasonably priced.

Love the Decor and ambiance here its casual yet sophisticated. Food is very good, pasta with White Trufflue is delicious!!

Do not go here - it is a scam and they are rude. I was charged $137 for four drinks. The bartender decided to tip himself $60 without my knowledge. They would have gotten away with this if I did not check my credit card statement. I called the corporate office. They made it clear that they would refund the entire charge. I checked my statement the next week, they only refunded part of the tip. When I called them back, they claimed that they never said they would refund the full charge and hung up on me! Who treats customers like that? Also, this bartender still works there. It did not seem like they cared to do anything about this situation outside of refund part of the tip. I will never step foot in this restaurant again, and I recommend the same to my family, friends, and anyone else reading this review. Horrible experience and a waste of my time.

Had dinner a few days ago with 2 colleagues. Went there because a good friend recommended the restaurant and I was keen to try something new. The setting is quite interesting with a decor where white is the predominant colour. Very nice in my view. Not particularly cozy, but nevertheless very interesting. Food is rather simple, but very good quality. We were 3, and we all had different starters and mains and everything was great. I personally had asparagus and then grilled salmon. All excellent. Service was very good and attentive All in all, I would say that is slightly overpriced. Around 15% in my view, but it didn't bother me because was between food and service we had a great evening.

If you are going to this place, avoid the crowded times. Better to make a reservation around 2 pm or so. The tables are to close to each other. The food is ok, the service is poor and the wine list is quite limited. A nice place to have lunch if you are shopping or walking around Madison and the 70's .

Found this restaurant on Trip Advisor when visiting family in New York City. Walked from the Frick Museum of Art. The penne bolognese was the best I can remember. Had a very interesting conversation with the manager who stopped by our table to check on us. Extremely pleasant experience.

I was completely jetlagged, barely able to form a proper sentence with my voice, yet the staff didn’t miss a beat. All I managed was, “I’ll have what she’s having,” pointing to a lady's dish at the next table and it arrived flawlessly. The space itself is a dream: chic and polished, but never stuffy, with an easy charm. The food was absolutely delicious! An all-around delightful experience. I drew a heart on the table <3

Not just overpriced mediocre food ($107 before a small tip for two "Restaurant Week" lunches, one glass of wine, an unordered fizzy water: $11! and a "half" portion of plain spaghetti with butter for a 6-year-old: $17.50!), but multiple waiters asking the same questions, dishes coming out late and wrong, waiters arguing about their mistakes. Service people walking all over, with no direction. First time, ever, in a restaurant: waiter asking you to lift your water and wine glasses so that he could replace the paper tablecloth, which only had a few breadcrumbs! If this was a training school for restaurant managers and staff, their grade would be "F."

Best place in NY to smoke a cigar Nice place Price $$$$ The service is very good Better with reservation

The food was delicious -- fresh, original, hot, really great. The service was so bad that it was almost comical. Drinks never came. The wait staff was not fluent in English and knew nothing about the menu -- it was ridiculous. We sat in a two seat table in the front window just inside the door and every time a patron entered, we got a blast of frozen air -- note-- do not sit near the window! We spent $300 for dinner -- a bit pricey for what we had. Summary: All in, wonderful, fresh, delicious food but the service was awful.

Beautiful restaurant, has a Los Angeles vibe. The food was very good too. Cocktails reasonably priced. Service was good and the prices reasonable.

Ok you think you know great Italian food. You don't unless you have been to Bar Italia. Excellent food, beautiful presentation and proffesional service makes a great evening. You can top it all off by requesting a table at Shrine of Sophia. You need to go to appreciate what I am talking about.

My husband and I were in the area last weekend to shop and go to the Frick Museum and looking for a place for lunch when we came upon this little gem! Delicious and inventive Italian cuisine with great martinis and wine too! Fun and cozy atmosphere and friendly attentive wait staff. We were in the city for the weekend from MA but we will be back next time we are in NYC!

A Saturday afternoon lunch for 3. Stated with a very good glass of prosecco. An array of very good Italian dishes, salads with the best shaved Parmesan. And a tasty glutton free pizza. Good service, coffee served with a biscotti. Highly recommend!

Went today for Restaurant week. Advised the person who seated us we were here for restaurant week. Be right back. Net thing we know another gentlemen appeared and read o f the menu, so we ordered. We thought is nice to keep changing the menu and advising us the menu. The food came and was good but not outstanding. The bill came and it was $255. We called the waiter oven and indicated Lunch was $26 per. Alfter a lot of discussion, the bill was reduced to $192 which we paid. We paid the waiter based on the original bill as it was not his fault. If you go there, bring a big wallet.

Let one of the former Cipriani top Chefs give you a gourmet treat with some of the most delicious authentic Italian dishes. I'm originally from Venice and some of the traditional recipes Chef Denis cooks in his kitchen have the same flavor as the meals my mother used to prepare for me when I was a kid.

The staff are friendly, the menu is interesting. Went on a Sunday night for a casual dinner, last minute reservation. My pasta dish (a special) was served warm, perfectly al dente and quite tasty, but on the cool side of warm. My entre was another 'special', tuna. Again, tasty preparation, but way way too well done. To their credit the staff did ask how the meal was, but alas it was after we were finished and they noticed (I presume) that half my entre was still on the plate. Sadly, they then accused me of not complaining earlier (they didn't ask then and didn't return t?o the table then). And did I mention that it was a $48 entre?? nuff said. Maybe it was just a bad night.. of course, when you're charging over $100 pp plus drinks, should there be a pass for a 'bad night'?

This is an outstanding restaurant. Very classy and clean. It reminded me of my favorite restaurants in France and Italy. Beautiful location and excellent cuisine. one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to . Choices of ENtree and Main course, we loved the Prosciutto, Grilled Octopus, Pasta and Salmon,, The extensive wine list is enjoyable as well as the waitstaff and presence of chef & owner. I would recommend reservations as it tends to fill up quickly.

Great little restaurant on Madison Ave. The food was great. Service was great. True Italian fare at a reasonable price.

I eat frequently at Bar Italia. I love the food, the atmosphere, the clientele, the servers , the hostesses and the maitre d'. They are very friendly while providing attentive service. I will continue to go back and back.

We had come from a benefit nearby and wanted to have some light fare. How disappointing. There is no "Mediterranean vibe", how pretentious when not understanding what that really means. It is clear that they do not understand the culture of "laissez-faire" and let customers feel good in their own skin no matter what they order from the menu. We did not visit this establishment to get the quotas going of the staff by ordering the most expensive food items, nor being pushed into buying a very expensive bottle of wine. As I said, we had just come from a benefit with enough alcohol available to drown an army. The staff is rude, no manners, no insight, they don't "read" the customer. I picked a wine by the glass and asked politely if I could taste it first. The waiter actually sniffed at that. He brought a glass with a minuscule amount, hardly visible and without showing the bottle...now really. This place is not suitable and not recommended.

The place calls itself a bar but is a full restaurant with full service, full food choices which are excellent in the classical Italian tradition with only a touch of unobtrusive nouvelle manipulation -- eg bits of grapefruit on side of the crab salad. Given its location, this is a pleasant touch of upscale casualness with a strong complement of beautiful people but no sense of snobbery.

We found this restaurant as we walked around the upper East side. We ordered from the Sunday brunch menus. I ate the gazpacho soup which was full of flavor followed by the pasta carbonara. The pasta dish was exquisite- no additional seasoning required, I refused the grated Parmesan cheese as I did not want to change the excellent flavor of the dish. The service was excellent and very professional. This restaurant is a great find and we will return to eat there again.

Friendly atmosphere, beautiful location and very very very good cuisine. Expecially fish first course are unforgettable! Right price for a divine dinner. To try! Corrado F.

Bar Talia is a cozy restaurant managed and run great. Friendly and accommodating service. Loved the food , loved the attentiveness. Nice upscale clientele and great food briefly.

This all-white, trendy East side Italian restaurant has some of the freshest and simple Italian food in town with a great bonus of a gluten free menu (pasta, pizza you name it). It is often full, including a tiny bar, with some seriously fashionable people. The staff is very friendly and unpretentious. Loved it.

We had the tuna tartare, Caprese salad, Spaghetti, Brandino, Risotto, and Amatriciana. All was outstanding. The service was amazing

The restaurant is very simple. The furniture and decorations simple too. The service is good. All the waiters were nice and friendly. The food was just ok. It is absolutely not a first class restaurant. The prices though were ridiculous high. I had to pass close the kitchen to reach the bathroom. Come on. A pity…

Bar Italia is one of those great small charming places is Upper East Side to eat. Pasta tastes always incredible (ask always for the pasta of the day), and the atmosphere is great Madison's style. Place is usually packed for lunch, so make sure you are not late!

I enjoyed my Bar Italia panini tremendously and the panacota was delicious. This was a better visit than a previous visit when I had a pasta dish.

The food was not great. Pasta was NOT al Dante and was pre-cooked. Pizza was not available. All in all just average. Price was too expensive for the quality of food. Restaurant was too noisy to have any conversation

Bar Italia is one of our favorite New York City Italian restaurants. Cocktails and wine are reasonably priced (for New York City). The appetizers are good as well as a great selection of pastas and entrees. Service was quite friendly and professional. Seating is tight.

We sat at the bar for brunch. The bar tender was simply brilliant: sheer efficiency that kept up with her bar clients as well as general restaurant demands, and a terrific disposition to boot. My Teatox "cocktail" was just wonderful: mulled mixed berries in an orange-infused ice tea. The food was simple, honest and uncomplicated - everything that is good about Italian cuisine, I will gladly return.

O just loved my great experiente with amazing food and excellent service , people are friendly polite with gracious dish

I was extremely disappointed with the Seafood Platter at this restaurant. One of the oysters was clearly not fresh — it had a very unpleasant smell and an even worse taste. Serving spoiled seafood is not only unacceptable but also dangerous. This experience completely ruined the meal. I categorically do not recommend this place and urge others to be cautious.

Very nice place. Very good service and friendly staff. My wife and I shared Spagetti Carbonara as starter, was very good, not heavy with sauce, exact al dente. Then we shared veal milanese, very good coated, missing salt but not important, very good executed. I definetly recommend this place if you are shopping at Madison Avenue.

Drinks good. Food very good. Service quite acceptable. Seating tight. Room small and noisy. Prices high.

This is one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to outside Italy. It's simple and so tasty. The head chef Dennis makes great food. It's a buzzy and nice atmosphere in the small restaurant. If you're in New York and want to have a grate lunch with good wine this is the place to go. Tanks for the grate food!

The food was great, not big portions but perfect for lunch. The service was friendly, efficient and attentive. My pizza was delicious! Slightly pricey.

A very Italian restaurant in Madison Avenue. Considered one of the best Italian restaurants in town and surely it is. We’ve tried the pizzas with mushrooms (perfect crust, toppings and perfect size: ), the pastas were so good that we ended up trying almost each pasta item in the menu (TAGLIOLINI, SPAGHETTI, FUSILLI, MEZZI RIGATONI, PENNE). The staff is very welcoming, fast, friendly and cheerful. We were lucky to meet the owner (Mr. Hassan) who’s a very warm, welcoming, cheerful and friendly gentleman. Great place and a great host. Don’t miss dinning or having lunch there. Keep room for their cappuccino :) the CARPACCIO DI TONNO, HAMACHI CARPACCIO, CARPACCIO DI BRANZINO, fried calamari,

Very good pastas and a friendly service. I had a very tasty Carbonara and my daughter the red beet salad

The pasta was just ok. The service was spotty. We sat down were asked what type of water we wanted. That was fine. We were brought bread. Our waiter came and took our drink order and when he brought them back we were ready to order food. The food came out fairly quick and wasn't bad, but not great. While eating my pasta I asked for another piece of bread and was given two. My friend wasn't asked if she wanted any. Before I was done eating they wanted to clear my plate and actually reached for it before I answered. They came back and I still wasn't done, but all the pasta was gone so they just cleared the table. Our waiter came back and asked if we wanted another drink. We said no, but he said ok, one more. We had to stop him after he had put in an order. Our table was cleared and we were done, but still had to ask for a check. The service could be better for a restaurant on Madison Ave.

With Hassan at the helm, what could be bad? Hos hands are the Golden Touch! Fare and service always above par.

Totally welcoming, elegant personal service, extensive menu options. The dishes we chose, based on our server's helpful recommendations, were exquisite. We also greatly appreciate the ambiance and low noise level which allowed for quiet conversation.

Bar Italia has a fresh Italian take on recipes and looks. The mostly white decore is a refreshing switch from the already expected red and white checkered tablecloths. Their wine menu is fantastic and the food is delicately prepared . We had a crab salad off the menu made special for our host and friend which is well liked by the staff and partner- chef Denis Franceschini. Their Margherita pizza is delicious and their pasta is prepared from scratch with products with upmost quality. Their merengue dessert is fluffy and perfect! Pricing is according to their superb quality and service.

My wife and I ate here for lunch. Glad we had a reservation because it was very crowded. Food was quite good and was the service. We both had the pasta special. Seating is very tight. Will defintely comeback for dinner sometime. Interior decor is almost all white.

This time we went to Bar Italia for lunch. We were glad we did! We had a nice greeting to welcome us. The tartare was delicious and the pasta hit the spot. Service was pleasant.

We were hungry and seated by the window of a nondescript cafe serving a few lunching mothers the usual current ubiquity of Panera-style dishes (not that there's anything wrong with that!) @ almost $20 each when I saw this little place across Madison Ave. We were promptly shown to one of Bar Italia's cozy banquettes not long afterward. Really small, its decor consists of unframed blow-ups of Marcello Mastroianni film stills. Sounds obtrusive but it isn't. After being graciously served both whole wheat and sourdough breads, we dined on one of the finest spaghetti carbonaras I've enjoyed anywhere, here or in Italy. The pasta's consistency reminds us why we are instructed to cook it al dente in the first place! Except for a bit of oil at the bottom of the perfectly portioned bowl, it was delectable and beautiful to look at. Pancetta, eggs, everything in the right proportion. My brother, who knows his amatriciana, ordered off the menu and was equally delighted. What a lovely place to spend an old-fashioned 2-3 hour luncheon but, alas, we had people to see. I'm looking forward to returning soon and trying many other offerings, because 4* in NYC is no joke and I'd like to base it on more meals. Except for the aforementioned oil and absence of freshly ground black pepper, I remain hopeful.

Bar Italia has some really amazing food and a true elegant atmosphere... cannot recommend this place enough!

The food is fresh, the service is attentive and the setting is casual but well looked after. Love this neighborhood gem and would return for their pasta next time I am in New York.

I have been here several time. This place has some real character. The atmosphere is really nice and the food and drinks are good too. If I recall correctly they make a nice cucumber martini. The restaurant opens its floor to ceiling windows in the spring/summer which really adds the the experience. It's right on Madison Avenue and a nice spot to stop at while shopping or even otherwise. Sure to be one of your regular go to spots once you try it.

Awesome atmosphere, the martinis were just the way we like them, the pasta was amazing and the wine was perfect. We will be returning to Bar Italia on our next visit to NYC.

Fairly upscale, small Italian restaurant on the east side. My wife and I each had a pasta dish and wine for lunch. Both dishes were very good, though not quite great, and medium sized. Atmosphere and decor were classic, simple and elegant. Service was friendly enough in the restrained European fashion. Clients included desiccated old east side ladies and suave younger couples. In shorts and a polo, I felt a tad under-dressed. I would return if in the area, if in dressy casual attire.

This restaurant was our last stop before we came home to the Woodstock NY area. The food has always been consistent and so haas the service. The server and managers were all top-notch I would recommend this place to anyone because the menu has something for all tastes.

Expansive menu with knowledgable staff replete with suggestions. Open air with outside tables is perfect European touch when weather cooperates. Actually has a gluten-free menu which is very helpful rather than questioning staff. Decor very cool--white with interesting, dramatic art. Great experience, I go often for both business and fun.

There are many italian restuarants in NYC that really have untrained mexican sous chefs cooking. So it is wonderful when you get the opportunity to dine at a real italian restuarant, with formally trained italian chefs from the mother country. I have dined at Bar Italia about five or six times now and the food is always delicious and served in a very professional yet frinedly manner. The pasta is great - but if you like sword fish it is just about the best in town. There is a price fixed brunch served on Sundays that is scrumptous

We were welcomed by several people who then served us attentively. The food was excellent. I loved the soup (celery and Potato --blended extremely well--was delicious. My friend has the Veal Piccata The coffee was good as well. Excellent service and food. Lovely atmosphere. Look forward to return

Had the MEZZI RIGATONI With Veal Ragu and partner had PENNE All Beef Bolognese Sauce which i liked more than mine. Sat outside... shared a table with another couple.. so nice.. perfect day to eat outside. We got our dessert menus but the waiter did not come back to take our order so no dessert.. just a glass of Carnivor 2016 cab. very nice.

Loved this upper east side gym. Great bar, delicious drinks and pleasant staff! Will definitely put it on my NYC circuit!

Pretty much stumbled into this place due to an attentive and knowledgeable concierge, she recognised exactly what I was looking for. Loved it. Saturday lunch. Stylish but still cozy, open to the street with a few tables outside. Menu very italian with daily specials, chef very accommodating and made the tagliata that I wanted. Maitre d' Dritan exceptional, professional and jovial at the same time, cracking jokes and answering detailed questions around the wine list, treats everyone like rockstars. wine list focused but has a choice of good bottles. On the Saturday we were there its was full and bustling, definitely going back. A plus that it is a stone throw away from the roof terrace at the Met!

Attentive service and excellent pasta and Gnocchi. However, a pasta dish costs 47$, a glass of wine 18-30$. You need to be prepared to pay top dollars. But most likely necessary to have a restaurant right on Madison Avenue. It was certainly the most expensive pasta I ever had. But very good.

If you want authentic Italian food from chef Dennis, give your tastebuds a party. The food is incredible!

Simply the Best! Expensive no doubt, however this is truly our favorite Italian spot. The mushroom pappardelle and the truffle pasta and tuna carpaccio are staples for us. The wine pairing is also phenomenal. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. I have eaten around the world. From high end fine dinning to low end salt if the earth. This is my favorite restaurant in NYC.

There we were hungry just back from DC so we went to Bar Itala where we had delicicious pasta n tiramisu. Tony was our host n he did a great job. Cool to dine in at Madison AVenua n seeing all the yellow cabs passing us while we have been indulged with delicious Italian food. We like the tip system. We'll be back. Oh ya they played Claudio Baglioni music what I learned in my 1986 month in Italy when I was in the military service.

What an experience. Service is outstanding. The fish trio app was to die for. Highly recommend the gnocchi. Half plate seemed to be enough. My local friend says it’s one of her regulars. I’ll go back.

Good Italian food like Mama would do it, but with unreasonable pricing. Trendy place with guests from young to old. And some celebs here an there.

This restaurant is great for people watching. But we ordered pizza and were disappointed. We sent the first ones back, something we have never done before but undercooked soggy bases are just not good enough for the price. Next ones weren’t too great either. Menu was interesting and maybe we just made the wrong choice on a wet day.

We like to go to Bar Italia whenever we are in New York and have been going there for several years. The food is consistently excellent, the service is always spot on both at lunch and dinner, and the atmosphere is cozy and friendly. The price point is reasonable. We took our 3 year old grandson to an early dinner last week and the staff could not have been more helpful and accomodating.

A fabulous dining experience; Chef Denis Franceschini is a genius with inventive and also traditional Italian dishes; we thoroughly enjoyed a tasting menu accompanied by wonderful wine selections; the atmosphere is a perfect combination of relaxed and elegant.

Tiny place right on Madison ave and 66th Street, a good location but not great as it's not in the center of all the movement. Just a little walk away. The ambiance is relaxed, comfortable and nice for a date night or dinner with friends. Service was good and options varied between pasta and fish/seafood. We all had different dished and an overall good meal, not great. And the price was on the high end. Not a place I would make a trip to go back to. And the pasta was better than the fish options.

Gracious set up, "europeanly" tight, always crowded. Have a drink with some excellent appetizers then, if you booked it, enjoy a lovely dinner perfectly prepared by "venetian" chef Dennis, a friendly knowledgeable person. Service ok, ambiance ok. Overall pretty good. Go for it

We came across this bar/restaurant after a long shopping walk up and down Madison Ave. It's right on the street and has a few tables outside on the edge of the pavement (sorry, sidewalk). Being Italian cuisine there is the guy in the flashy suit and shoes overseeing things in a quiet but firm manner (owner, manager?) and the waiting team who rush around taking orders and delivering and clearing dishes. It's quite small so the tables are close together when it's busy but that was fine by us. We enjoyed our insalata de pollo and gnocchi alla Trentina - tasty and good proportions. For a quick lunch it suited us very well - and at just over $100 including a glass of sancerre and a caipiroska I didn't think it was too expensive.

This place is elegant, it gives the impression when you walk in that suddenly you are in Milano, close to the Via della Spiga. The crowd is dressed to the 9's or casual super chic, the service is excellent and the food delicious, just perfect combination.

Really enjoyed our dinner here. Would give it a 4 and a half if I could. Would definitely go back. They know what they are doing. They were gluten free friendly too!

Have come here a couple of times. Place is nice, service good. It's clean. Food is quite OK. To put it in perspective a lunch for three with one course each, a pre lunch drink and a modest chianti plus coffee came to US$400 including the expected 20% tip. Sure, it's not cheap but then again in the upper East Side, find me a place that is. And if you are looking for a cheap lunch, you are in the wrong part of the wrong city. I'd come again and I suggest you give it a try. Service attitude is very different to Paris and refreshing at that. There seemed to be a cheaper brunch menu on a Sunday and if cost is an issue why not try that?
Great meal in a lively restaurant
The food here was just delicious, and it catered for my gluten-free needs without fuss. Had a veal schnitzel in gluten free crumb which was really tasty. Everyone else had different things which they all declared delicious. A little pricey but would expect that in NYC in a decent restaurant.
