Excellent Plant-based Option and Friendly Service

By Alex |

We wanted to try the Impossible Burger when we were in New York as they don’t have in Europe yet. We found this gem with a full vegetarian menu and many different meatless options. Brussel sprouts were also a hit. Must return next time we are in New York

Great burger joint

By PESE |

First time I had bison in my burger! The burger was great, the onion rings, the sauces were too, but the fries were flaccid. The beers were good and the staff was top of the notch.

Don’t waste your time

By Derrick K |

Best way to explain this is we were simply ignored for about 30 minutes and then decided we would find something else. Also watched several other customers come in wait and leave. Staff looked us in the face several times never made any attempt to serve us. But there was a party of 4 that came in 20 minutes after asked for a server by name and offered free beers all after being in the restaurant for 5 minutes.

All good!

By Palcod |

Excellent service, very kind and helpful girls and above all excellent American hamburger, outdoor area not quite up to the standard of the Italian ones but it's fine anyway

Fantastic chilled place so close tonTimes Square

By Caroline D |

Staying at the Paramount Hotel we wanted somewhere close for dinner and thanks to TA reviews chose this fantastic place. We could not have been better cared for by Rachel, the manager of the evening, and Danny Boy, our waiter. We sat at the bar and chatted to the delightful Rachel whilst waiting for our table. Paul had a good IPA and I had red wine. We opted to craft our own burgers and sides and the food was delicious. We also had a pudding, our first in NY, and that was great too. We would both thoroughly recommend this chilled and delicious restaurant for the quality of food, brilliant location and atmosphere and delightful staff.

Lots of choice

By dbassi |

Just outside the casino. Cozy place with outdoor station. Wide choice with the possibility of composing your own hamburger. Choice fell on well-equipped wagyu

Great place to eat

By Helen L |

Came across this place while out exploring the area. Very clean with friendly staff. We had the standard burger with french fries and it was delicious. One of the nicest burgers I’ve had ever! Very handy being able to pay your bill via a QR code rather than having to wait for the bill.

Pub newyorkese

By Dario V |

Typical American place, very crowded, friendly, helpful staff and quick service. Characteristic of the pub that staff take turns singing enlivening the evening.

Great first meal in New York - allergy/food-intolerance friendly

By Dairy free adventures |

We arrived and had to wait 10 minutes for a table - usually a good sign and in this case it definitely was! I can’t have dairy and our waiter was able to confidently list what I could and couldn’t have. There are a lot of dairy-free options. The service was so friendly and helpful but not overbearing. My boyfriend loves craft beer and the waiter recommended some new ones to him. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was brilliant and we would definitely return if we were back in New York!

Excellent service and ever changing menu to include Vegan/Vegetarian options..

By YogeshBhura |

Very cosy family oriented atmosphere. Excellent service (very rare in NY). Ever changing menu with organic/home made/vegetarian/vegan options.

Experience

By Kristy C |

This is a hip take on a burger. So many options to choose from. Sweet potato fries are pretty good. Will return.

mediocre

By Carmine Lucchese |

Finally tried Bareburger and was not impressed, I did a build your own burger with cheese and a basket of fries. The burger was ok, the fries were extremely over seasoned, the service reminded me of some part time college place, it seemed like the server did not want to be there. Only been to this location obviously as this was my first bare burger but this location needs a good cleaning and some fresh air.

Great burger (including for vegans and vegetarians)

By 421Traveler_123 |

An awesome place to grab a burger, including for vegans and vegetarians (who have a wide variety of options). Fries are awesome too.

Would definitely visit again

By Elgin_MorayLuca |

Great burger !! Visited with two teenagers and found this wee gem just off of Hells Kitchen. Happy hour was a bonus on a bottle of wine. Burger was great and staff were really attentive without hassling you.

Great quality food

By Brett H |

My partner said he wanted a proper burger while we were in NYC and so we chose here. Great organic ingredients, big portions, delicious sauces, large measures of vodka - what more do you want! I’d recommend the chicken to start with their special sauce - it’s delicious! The onion rings are good too!! X

Excellent service and food

By filleflnc |

Our large party experienced excellent service. The menu was varied with choices for our different preferences. The Brussels plate was delicious, salads were generously sized, sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked. We will definitely return during our next visit.

Great burgers with vegetarian options

By Shahafya |

The place is considered a healthy place. As such - you may find many vegetarian burgers and healthy options. As a non-vegetarian, I had the classic burger (with onion rings and fries). The food was great, the service was fantastic, and the overall atmosphere was good. Along with cold beer - you can't ask for more...

Nice place and good burger

By Stef T |

We were looking for organic burger. We found It in this place. Very kind people to welcome you in this place with nice decoration. You can choose one of their good burger, change any items or make your own burger choosing the meat, sauce, végétable. And price is not expansive.

Not very impressed by the menu

By Arianna |

We had a vegan burger and some salads and chicken fingers, they don't have a wide choice of kids food but they have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options, just eat here if you want a burger cause the rest of the menu was pretty poor, it's a nice place and a good concept of food cause everything is bio, so well done for that, but the food and the menu didn't really impressed us, we had a hard time choosing something else a part from the burgers.

Excellent burgers

By Sara H |

We both had a beef burger, the quality of the ingredients was excellent. If we lived here this would be our go to burger joint. Service was attentive and the food was delivered quickly.

This food was an incredible vegan eat!

By SJames81 |

This food was incredible. I opted for the full vegan menu and its the best vegan food i have eaten. The choice was so vast. My husband went for the meat and it was cooked to perfection. Our waiter was so helpful and friendly. We were seated really quickly. Already considering eating here again before we head home.

Amazing burgers!

By lowj2015 |

We came here while visiting NYC and was not disappointed! In fact we came here for a second time during our 5 day stay! Burgers were amazing and the menu catered for everyone. Staff are super friendly too.

Lunch

By Habriel K |

Best burger that we eat in our small trip in New York The burger were really delicious anche the staff courteous

Was in search of gluten free options

By CE949 |

We ate here on Halloween, our last night in NYC. I am gluten free, my husband is not. Both our burgers were outstanding. I have never met a gluten free bun I liked but this one was delicious. I was impressed that they had multiple vegan and vegetarian options. The service was great and atmosphere fun. We will be back next time in NYC.

Amazing!!!!!

By Tiffbooch |

Visiting New York City is always a pleasure, but feeding my heavily allergic child is sometimes a task. She is extremely allergic to nuts, dairy and eggs making Bareburger a wonderful option for her as one side up their menu is completely vegan!!!! It’s extremely seldom she gets to eat a real hamburger bun with vegan cheese and vegan toppings such as mayo and dips for her fries. Which- while on the subject of fries, I might add are fried in a dedicated fryer with no cross-contamination possible. She had a vegan cookies and cream milkshake made with hemp milk, coconut ice cream and Newman’s own cookies, and this felt so special for her! It was her birthday Celebration and on her special day she felt super lucky! thank you to Bareburger for being one of the only spots on restaurant Row with options for all dietary needs!!!! Special shout out to James our wonderful server who spent time going over the menu and creating wonderful options for a kid who always has to eat out of a home brought lunchbox! It’s places like these that make her feel not so different from everyone else! Thank you so much again to James and the whole Bareburger staff!

Great!!

By Julia B |

Loved the food and the place! Really really great burgers and lemonade!!! We hat the Americana and onion fries.

Amazing!

By yxles p |

Our waiter was really nice! Food was great I love a store that has a lot of vegan options like the customized burger also came very fast, food was amazing great place highly recommended!

Brilliant burgers!

By Jen |

Ate here for our first meal in New York and it did not disappoint. I had the sweet potato, kale & wild rice burger, my partner had the Mexican burger and we shared some delicious fries. The food was lovely, my burger was particularly tasty. Also the service was brilliant. Competent and friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere.

First visit

By Floflegs |

Varied selection of delicious burgers including design your own. Friendly staff and great food. Recommend a visit.

Great burgers & relaxed atmosphere

By Barb F |

After walking around and hanging out in Washington Square Park, we were ready for a good lunch! Bareburger totally hit the spot - we all loved our burgers. The options for sides were all delicious and fun. Good beer list. And if you're vegan this place seems like heaven with an extensive menu.

Not your average burger place

By Theyorkshirecurlew |

Traditional beef, buffalo, Vegan, gluten free, you name it it is all here. The most interesting burger restaurant I’ve been to in a while with more possible burger combinations than you could eat in a lifetime. Mighty fine burgers too. And a good selection of drinks including craft beers and ciders. And great service as well. Excellent !

Great place for coeliacs despite disclaimer on menu

By Lavinia |

Yummy burger, interesting filling and delicious sweet potato fries. They clearly take allergens seriously with everything clearly marked on the menu. My server was not the most experienced or clued up on coeliac disease / the gluten-free nature of the menu but was more than happy to ask superiors answers to my questions. They have a disclaimer around not being able to guarantee it being safe for coeliacs due to gluten products being used in the kitchen. This naturally made me a little nervous at first but I truly think it’s just a sign of how aware the company is about allergens. The only gluten products on the menu were the buns and one type of burger which couldn’t be made gf. So the risk of cross contamination is much lower here than other restaurants and much much lower than establishments which don’t take allergens seriously!

Awesome Burgers After Broadway Show!

By LoveToTravel1995 |

So. Damm. Delicious. What a great night we had seeing a Broadway Show and then walking 10 minutes up West 46th to Bareburger. Delicious Burgers & Sides made for a very memorable evening. Thanks Bareburger!

Fab burgers

By Mumsbhoys |

We came acrosss this little gem while heading back from visiting the USS Intrepid. It’s located just off 9th Avenue and the burgers are amazing. Menu covers a wide range of meat and vegetarian burgers. The wide choice is superb - burgers were the tastiest in NYC for us 😀 Definitely recommend this place as the staff are great also.

Great Burgers and Happy Hour Margaritas!

By Alice H |

We arrived at our hotel around 2pm and our room wasn’t ready so we went here for burgers and margaritas and it was fabulous! Our host was so friendly and the happy hour margaritas were great- along with the burgers! Thank you for a great start to our NYC trip!

Good burgers and beer!

By FrenchSnail |

Really nice burger joint serving good food and a wide range of beers. Service was excellent on both occasions we visited (thanks to Juan!) and we had a really good time. Nice vegan/vegetarian menu as well as home made beef and chicken burgers. Not bad on price and when we had a small hiccup with our order it was rectified quickly and a discount applied for the inconvenience. Would definitely recommend although can get very busy.

Looking for an healty burger

By P. |

We arrived there looking for an healty burger, a tipycal one but not a fast food one. It was really delicious, and the beer too!!

Amazing find!!! Great food!!!

By Joseph G |

Finally, I found a restaurant that my entire family enjoyed so much that we had to return the next night for another meal.

Excellent attention to gluten-free

By Effeloisla |

Good burgers and attention for those with celiac disease: gluten-free options are well managed. The tap water was not of good quality and the sparkling water was served in a glass; it would have been preferable to receive it in the bottle. Account in line with New York prices.

Must go for vegetarians looking for a veggie burger and fries

By EICAGE |

One side of the menu contains meet and the other contains vegan/vegetarian food. There are approx. vegan/vegetarian 8 burgers to chose from with lots of side orders including fries, sweet potato fries and brussel sprouts. The food was so good and there was so much choice that we visited twice.

Great spot

By John |

Great burgers and extremely allergy friendly. We loved it. the staff were gret and they even have gluten free fried chicken!!!

Very fine burgers

By Mike |

Very good burgers. Perfectly cooked and delicious truffle fries, what more could you want in New York City! And close to Times Square.

A vegetarian and a gluten-free omnivore found fantastic burgers here!

By Lauren G |

My friend and I were in NYC for a short 1-day, 2-night visit in January and were directed here by a local who told us that we'd both find something to suit our vegetarian and gluten-free needs. We did, indeed! The service was great. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was perfect. Our lunch here was one of our favorite parts of the trip.

Best vegan Burger I ever had

By Anna R |

Super yummy vegan Food, lovely employees and service! Wish they would expand to Germany! Really nice Location!

Great burgers, maybe the best Wagyu burger ever

By GarryLee316 |

Simply put, my son described this as the best food he has ever eaten! Now, I appreciate he's a 12 year old and he loves a burger, but its still very high praise. Everyone loved the food. My vegan wife was impressed with her options and I'm always delighted if I can add an egg and blue cheese to my burger! Also, milkshakes were ace!

Tasty burger

By Stephstraveldiary |

At Bareburger you can get tasty burgers, but they are not standard at all. I went for the mexican burger, which was very tasty. The sweet potato fries were good too. I also had a strawberry lemonace, which was very refreshing.

What a Neighborhood Downhill Spiral

By globaltravelkid |

Pre-theater haunt has gone incredibly down hill lately; is the whole chain like this or only this location? Hope remains. This used to be a great Hell's Kitchen haunt for the business and tourists alike, but, alas, what a huge disappointment. Ambience: empty Saturday at 1700, dark, no music, and more staff than diners * Service: not particularly happy or friendly as before with all the incredible options from the menu, clearly embarrassed they've lost their liquor license for almost a year * Food: no alcohol is a huge let down pre-theater and a downer in attracting people to eat and drink here now With the right social media and luring the old faithfuls back with positive changes outlined above there's still hope, but this place needs a huge overhaul.

Fabulous food- gluten free is catered for also. Very nice - friendly staff too! 🍔👍

By Karen C |

Fabulous food- gluten free is catered for also. Very nice ,excellent service and very friendly staff too! 🍔👍

Excellent burgers and milkshakes

By Sue F |

Excellent burgers, the El Dorado was superb. Hayley really looked after us too and the milkshakes are A-maz-ing! Definitely recommend a visit

Great place for a casual gathering.

By lnglgs |

Organized a hi I'm in town lets meetup & picked BareBurger just off of the reviews here & its central location. Arrived not knowing how many would be coming & they made it work. Found a big table, people arrived one by one & it was great. The server Alex was attentive & on top of it, which added to the enjoyment. With a variety of choices, everyone was able to eat something. Very little left over. The cauliflower & onion rings appetizers were really good, the side salads were huge, & everyone who got a burger enjoyed them. Atmosphere was great for a casual thing, it wasn't expensive by NY standards, & I'd be back!

Just Ok

By Chygrl |

Not really a burger to brag about. High end but low taste. A lot to choose from on the menu and food if you’re vegan.

Arguably the Worst Food Experience I Had in New York

By Anthony V |

The staff is atrociously rude, and care more about speaking to each other than engaging in customer service. If I had an opportunity to turn back time, and choose any other restaurant, I’d rather each cardboard $1 pizza than give my money or waste my time at this establishment. I suggest you avoid it as well.

Great healthy food

By Sue M |

We fell upon Bareburger whilst making our way to our walking tour. The menu and window marketing lured us in. The menu is unusually in that one side includes meat and the other side is vegan. We chose to eat from the Vegan menu and enjoyed a huge salad and "Milk" shake each. All the staff were very helpful and happy - a great find in New York - Highly recommended.

One of the best burgers I ever had!

By Nicolas H |

It was my first day in NYC and search for some burger restaurants on Trip Advisor! It was just perfect 👌🏻 Burgers are great as well as the waiter!

Impossible burger was so good try it!!!

By yazBoston |

Impossible burger was so good - service was great Zac who served us could not have been nicer, he was so professional, informative and efficient and got us out in time for our show - Zac your a star!

Our Go-To

By CTBeachFamily |

This place never disappoints! This is our go-to place before seeing a Broadway show. During this visit there was a bit of a wait. It was not a long wait but enough for us to people watch. One woman came in and told the hostess she needed a table for six. When she was told there was a bit of a short wait, the woman was indignant, stating "I called an hour ago and was told there was no wait." When the hostess explained more people had arrived during that time, but would certainly get her seated as quickly as possible, the woman was less than nice. Other patrons (including our party) were appalled at this woman's behavior (acting spoiled and entitled). However, Bianca handled it like a pro. She was friendly, cool and genuinely exemplified great customer service to all.

“W” burger - I guess that means Win according to my kids

By Beth |

Awesome black bean and Veggie burger (the sunshine) for vegetarians! The best black bean burger I have ever had. But the meat eaters were impressed with beef and bison sliders. It was rounded out w pinion rings and fries.

Okay

By Jeff M |

Performed patty taste and shape.Jucy ,good toppings, nice choice of meats and non meats.I just couldent shake the preformed patty taste and texture. It takes away from the experience. Food cooked to order.i downloaded the app while waiting on my food got $ off my first order.nice change.

Perfect Burger

By Craig N |

Bare Burger has been recommended to me for a good quality, quick meal. I went more so that I could tick the box and report back to my friend. But I was surprised. These are simple, good tasting burgers that do leave you feeling very satisfied without that greasy, oily, overindulged feeling you do often get after a burger. Bare Burger really lives up to the claim of being a healthy food option. Definitely recommended.

Best Burger in NYC!

By Mike R |

My wife and I took in the Tina Turner show. We were famished for a good dinner after the Sunday matinee. A local suggested that we visit Bareburger was an outstanding burger joint in NYC despite a bit of a walk away. Well, he understated the quality of Bareburger food. My wife and I each bad a cheesburger (hers well done, mine medium rare) they were FABULOUS! We shared sweet potato fries and I han a chocolate-vanilla shake which was amazing. I strongly suggest this place!

Delicious food, worth the wait

By Kjrb2 |

I liked that we could sit inside or out. The food was delicious and the staff mostly friendly. Loved the national burger and the spicy green goddess dressing on the salad.

Great surprise!

By SaraKamm |

Great surprise!! We would have been hungry for the museum and accidentally discovered this place! The staff was very nice and the burgers were great and very delicious I highly recommend it!

Amazing burgers.... best in NYC

By Gates73 |

Brilliant burger restaurant near Hells Kitchen in NYC. Delicious burgers, we tried beef, bison, buttermilk chicken and beyond burger.. all yummy! My daughter is vegetarian and the menu was a dream for her, so much choice. Really good sharing sides too, onions rings our fave. The menu states sharer sides serve 2-4 but personally we had 4 between 5 of us and ate the lot! 😋 Oh ... and for New York this restaurant is a bargain!!!

Great atmosphere, food and service

By emrachy |

Hunted out this burger restaurant through looking up reviews and glad we made the visit. The bare burger is sitting on a little street of restaurants called restaurant row, which looks lovely and pretty at night with welcoming lights and shop fronts. The bare burger itself looks great on the outside and in. I am a vegetarian so it was great to have so much choice in a restaurant that also accommodates meat lovers. Both my mum and I really enjoyed our burgers (my Mum has meat, I had the impossible burger). We also ordered a side of fries, onion rings and sweet potato fries (although they were a little overdone), and 2 refreshing peach iced teas. The service was quick and friendly, and overall had a good quality burger for a fair price. I would visit again if in the area.

Vegans like burgers (and beer) too!

By Tony F |

Searching for an affordable meal with my teenage son while in the Times Square area, we hit on the Bareburger at 46th Street, largely because my teen loves the Impossible Burger and was thrilled that he could "build his own." This was just one of 5 or 5 vegan burgers and though my Farmstead Burger wasn't as exotic as it sounded, I appreciated that, after a 15-minute wait for a table (hey, it was Friday night, they took our phone number and we got text updates even as we sat at the bar), the burgers came quickly and that the waiter, though hopelessly overworked, was on top of everything. Nothing fancy about presentation, and the "build your own option" does increase the price (you can order a prix fixe burger too), but the food is plenty filling and hits the spot. My son went for a gluten-free bun that he hated, btw, but I'll give props to the wide range of vegan cheese and a nice spicy Thai ketchup. We splurged on a Mint Oreos/hemp milk/coconut ice cream shake that was way bigger than we needed and no less calorific for being vegan. Finally, a 20oz pint of Bronx Pale Ale for $8 is right on the money for the Times Square area and just one of several craft beers on tap, which vary from Bareburger to Bareburger. It's cheap-ish, it's cheerful, and for a fast food franchise, it does a damn good job of keeping things healthy and green.

Great pre-theatre lunch

By Beth M |

This was a fabulous find on Saturday before a 2:00 matinee. We wanted lunch more than brunch, and this menu offered sandwiches, burgers of course and in fact a breakfast menu as well. Their claim to fame is organic, locally sourced food prepared properly. For our vegan diner, they offer the impossible burger - the new plant based protein that really does look exactly like a hamburger, if that is what you want. The vibe is casual, and it is not huge. When we arrived a little before 12 there were only a couple of tables seated. When we left a little after 1, it was filling up. Everyone was happy with our choices - vegan and meat eaters alike. The offering of a vegan milkshake for dessert was a special bonus. Highly recommended, and yes, they offer a full bar as well.

Ask for Jacob!! Woooooooohooooooooooooo

By Paulina O |

Drinks were amazing!!! Ask for Jacob when you’re there. Great service and gave great recommendations! Get the coconut cucumber mojito if you go, you won’t regret it!

INCREDIBLE!

By Jordy M |

I couldn’t believe my entire burger was 100% vegan!! I am a recent vegetarian, and have always thought I couldn’t make that final transition because of my love for cheese... but eating her has me seriously toeing the line! I had the behind patty with Gouda, tempeh bacon, spinach & aioli and it was so full of flavour. My partner had the bison burger and loved every bite. I was so impressed with this spot, it was super busy and the service was still great! Only thing I would comment on is the presentation, but thats only because it’s New York - it definitely could have been presented a little bit more exciting but the flavour and service made up for it.

A vegan burger paradise

By Hernan L |

100% vegan cheeseburgers. Homemade, Impossible and Beyond. For all tastes. Great food, kind waiters and very nice environment. A great vegan-way american food dinner. Will return asap.

Truly impressed!

By Ben S |

We popped in for a quick meal on the way home, and were so glad we did! Generous portions of quality organic food. Bubbly but not noisy atmosphere, with lovely staff. Not expensive either, we will be back! Lovely!

Nice place to have lunch.

By Tom T |

Nice place to have lunch. After walking around Central Park for a good part of the day, my wife, her cousin, and I were hungry for lunch and we spotted this place. For a beautiful Sunday afternoon we got seated right away and had a nice bite to eat. What a plethora of options (different type of beef, and vegan selections). The food was delicious, the service was good, and you could hear yourself talk. A bit pricey, but my wife and I weren’t hungry for the rest of the day. If you don’t choose to get a shake with your meal, make sure you save room for dessert. It’s good ice cream and I know ice cream.

A go-to place on NYC!

By Agathe Hn |

Just go!! Amazing burgers in NYC for a very reasonable price. I had a veggie burger and my boyfriend a more classic one with onion rings and sweet potatoes fries: everything was super tasty and the portions are quite big! The place is really cool and well decorated and the staff is super nice!

Perfect burger in pleasant surroundings

By El_Tiroles |

Fine burger shop: cozy atmosphere, very good quality ingredients and perfect cooking of the burger; very pleasant and very friendly service

Great Burgers

By mfoss736 |

Lots of burgers to choose from or make your own. Burgers were nice when they came, fries and onion rings can be added as a side. Lots of options.

Excellent burger - great atmosphere

By Jeremy R |

This is an exceptional burger joint - really tasty (burger, trimmings and fries are all excellent), simple choices (veggie or straight - nothing fancy or poncey), good service, friendly atmosphere and great beer. In cool Hell’s Kitchen with great vibe - thoroughly recommended....an absolute must

Great Place!

By SaskYankeeFan |

Burgers were exceptional. Had turkey and beef burgers both were really good. Excellent gluten free options. Great service.

Best Burgers in USA

By Devan K |

Saturday night dinner over St Patrick’s weekend. We called ahead and were not required to make a reservation. We arrived around 8pm and were received by friendly staff who know the menu very well. We had a spicy margarita and an IPA, both highly recommended. On the food end we enjoyed the Elkasaurus (elk blended with Wagyu) and a Waguy Top Shelf. Both burgers were grilled medium, like we ordered. I have traveled all over the world, and I can truly say these were the best burgers I have ever had. Bare Burger is highly recommended and good value for money in NYC.

Delicious

By Kirsten S |

We knew we needed to eat something while in New York city. We did an extensive search near our hotel and settled on Bareburger in Hells Kitchen (two blocks from our hotel). We had a very busy day and wanted a place we could order from and pick up to take to our hotel. We ordered our food 24 hours in advance and crossed our fingers. The restaurant was a bit hidden and we walked right by it. We walked in and told them our name, they had our food ready to go. Success! We all ordered burgers with fries (two with impossible burgers). The food was delicious. We will order from then again when we visit New York city next time.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!!!

By shara m |

My boyfriend and I had two plant based burgers. We patiently waited about twenty minutes For the food (which we were very excited to try ). We were going to eat the food outside because it was a beautiful day but we decided to take our food home instead. We when arrived home and began to eat our food we discovered the bread was ROCK hard .Not only was bread was rock hard it was enough onions to feed an entire family. We had high expectations for this place and were highly disappointed. Money was wasted (50 bucks to be exact) and it was also about a twenty minute drive from home . We will not be going back again !!!

Get the elk burger

By ilovescones |

Great elk burger. Crisp fries. I was pressed for time and my server was honest about the time it would take to cook my burger, actually faster, and was pleasant throughout. Great job.

Loved It

By Kawana C |

Wanted to try this place based on reviews and proximity to Theatre District. I was greeted by a friendly hostess, who explained the menu. The vegan black bean burger did not disappoint! It was flavorful and the avocado, vinaigrette condiment, and toasty bun were perfect compliments. The fries were typical. I wish the waitress had checked on me during the meal, especially given that restaurant was so empty but the food made up for it.

Great food

By Eleanor Milosevic |

As a vegetarian I struggle to find nice vegi food but the vegi burger’s where great. The service was wonderful and welcoming and it was a lovely atmosphere. This is a great restaurant and I would recommend coming here.

Bareburger

By valdezv2017 |

Went to Bareburger in Woodcliff Lake NJ. Unenthusiastic staff. Kale burger, Chicken Sandwich tasteless. Will not return. Will influence our choice in NYC. Will not choose this brand.

Great choices for gluten free options

By Pinksasparilla |

What a find ! One of our party suffers from gluten intolerance - but at this restaurant she was able to enjoy the most delicious burger with bun - fries and homemade coleslaw - service was also excellent

Bland burgers not worth the hype

By TravellerAmy123 |

We went here one rainy evening without a reservation and after reading incredible reviews. We were seated within about 10 minutes. Our visit can be broken down like this - The front of house staff both the one who saw us as we entered and our server, were rude and unwelcoming. The soft drinks, being made of raw cane sugar and other organic stuff were crap (don't eat here unless you drink beer) The onion rings are naff, very thick in an almost breaded like batter that are super unappealing and have a very odd taste. And above all the burgers were awful. They turned up lukewarm. We ordered them medium and they came rare. All you could taste was the meat. There was very little to no sauce. They had absolutely no flavour at all. When you're paying upwards of $15 for a single burger I expect more. I expect a decent burger. And 1 star is quite frankly too generous for them. You're better going elsewhere for a better, cheaper burger.

Earns high rating

By riverhouse103 |

Was in the neighborhood for a cup of coffee around the corner and decided to grab some lunch. I used TripAdvisor to find something great and Bareburger caught my attention. Dropped in and sat at the bar. Had the original burger and some fries. It was great as well as the atmosphere. Jesue behind the bar is an awesome addition to the place. Excellent spot.

great food and atmosphere

By Zoe F |

excellent menu choices, so many different options available and the drinks menu is pretty good too. great and fast service and a great atmosphere especially in the bar area - would recommend

GF DF FOOD is incredible!

By Kelley S |

Atten to all the GF/DF people out there- this burger place is fantastic! Most of the appetizers come in GF. We ordered amazing GF fried pickles and popcorn chicken. My burger bun was one of the best GF buns I've ever enjoyed. The food was fantastic!! Our server was not invested in our experience. She was frequently on her cell phone, not paying attention to us. She left us sitting at the table for a long time when we first arrived. Then, our apps and food came out at once. She didn't check on us until we were almost done with our meal when I had to flag her down. Then, we waited a long time for our check because she was texting on her phone. in the end, another server got our check and closed us out. FOOD AMAZING- Service could use improvement.

Great

By Kirsten P |

This place has so many options and it’s all sooo good. The only downside is how small it is (understandable for NYC) and the prices. But other than that, the food is delicious and the staff is very friendly!

Great vegan friendly burgers and cheap drinks!

A short walk from Times Square / Broadway, this place is tucked away and had plenty of space on a Monday night. The staff are very friendly and attentive. There was a cocktail of the day, the Moscow Mule, which was only $3 and was nice, quite strong but nice! The burgers were delicious and portion sizes were good. Overall, a great place to eat before a theatre performance or just to catch up with friends, highly recommend it.

Excellent

Stuck in the middle of other restaurants it is not easy to notice the high-rise sign. Typical decor. Absolutely adorable waitress who speaks slowly so that everyone understands. Try the bison burger that really tastes different!

Great hamburgers

By Giovanni |

I stand by the judgments of most people. Cute place extremely kind and attentive staff. I got a regular national burger and it was delicious, my wife the chicken buffalo and it was ok. Prices also lower for the average NY. only drawback the bar was closed and they did not serve beer, only soft drinks.

Hamburgers plus

So glad we tried this restaurant! I loved the menu...regular choices and plant based selections. Waiter helped us out ordering. Off the beaten path a bit, but well worth it!

A-MAZING!

By TheNesbittDream11616 |

I LOVE doing reviews - ESPECIALLY when I come across a pretty amazing place! I've been visiting NYC for the past few weeks & wanted to find a healthier option in the Time Square area since every time we visit, I usually try to find the best pizza shop! That wasn't going so well with the diet........so today I hopped on TripAdvisor (obviously the most trusted site) and looked up a few places with vegan/vegetarian options....and BareBurger had SO many positive reviews and food recommendations from other travelers PLUS they had free delivery! Which was VERY necessary on this rainy day! Based on another recommendation and a preference for something lighter (not bready) I went for the farmstead (Sweet Potato, Kale & Wild Rice Patty) it came with tomatoes, hummus, kale & avocado wrapped in a collard green wrap.... Absolutely DELISH!!!!! I also ordered sweet potato fries, sweet pickles (AMAZING) + strawberry lemonade - which also was amazing. So amazing that I'll be ordering take out on this rainy evening for my husband when he gets back to the hotel. Definitely recommend! Bareburger will be our new spot in NYC :-)

Amazing

By Journey553173 |

This place was great! We had Jacob as our waiter and he was so so friendly and so attentive. I would come back just to see him. Food and drinks were good as well!

Great burger place for families

By NBlake13 |

Absolutely great burger place - had a awesome service from James who was very helpful. Plenty of choice for the kids from nuggets to burgers (beef and turkey) and a vegetarian option. They have high chairs nice toilets and tasty food could not fault the staff!! Food was delicious I would avoid the natural coke it’s flat and not v nice but everything else was v tasty Thank you

Decent but not great

By RicciF1020 |

I sat at the bar and ordered a turkey burger and onion rings. The onion rings were unimpressive. The turkey was very wet and juicy, which I do not like with poultry so the texture really turned me off. I had to check multiple times to make sure it was cooked through. If I returned, I would try the beef.

Great choices for vegans

By Jessica |

Menus are half meat half vegans! As a vegetarian, I’m so happy to see it. Ordered the one with bacon (made by tempeh), it was soooooo good! Also don’t forget to get the waffles fries. Yummmmmmz

Food and drinks are great, but the rest…

By lina |

The food was exceptionally good. The service was confused. They don‘t serve the drinks in the smaller sizes, which they offer on the menu. And the prices are a bit false advertisement as everything is charged extra, so it ends up to be at least double of what one expects.

Perfect in every way

By Mark |

Absolutely perfect meal with my wife during our honeymoon before we went to watch a show - the food, the drink, the service, the vibes, the value for money, the range available to me as a coeliac, it was all just perfect - thank you from these 2 Brits!

Gluten free burger..winner!

By Suzanne |

Amazing burger, gluten free bun! Cooked perfectly. Would recommend. Burger cooked how you want it.. friendly staff who were really helpful.

GREAT food, lots of choices!

By Donna D |

Surrounded by other restaurants in the Hell's Kitchen area, this all-organic, locally-sourced restaurant may be easy to miss but it's definitely worth seeking out. There are SO many choices of burgers! I decided to go simple and got the create-your-own option with bison meat (!!) on a brioche bun, lettuce and pickles, an order of *regular* french fries and an organic cola. I've heard their shakes are fantastic but while I was strongly tempted, I still had other things to do that night and didn't want to tempt fate with that much dairy. :) The burger was *slightly* under-cooked but was still excellent, my first time having bison! The size of the patty was nice and thick, and the bun/toppings were delish. The fries, however, were OUTSTANDING. These were the simple fries, not the sweet potato fries or waffle fries or whatever, just regular, no-nonsense fries, and they were wonderful. The prices might seem a wee bit high for burgers, but they ARE all organic and locally sourced, which always costs a little more anyway. I felt it was worth the slightly higher amount just to try bison (in NY?!? wow!) and I would definitely go back - they offer take-out, too! Yum.

fantastic food

By Jason F |

Fantastic food, fantastic service and good value for money, on our recent trip to new York we dined here several times as we enjoyed the dining experience so much.

Disappointing

By Cath P |

Ketogenic eater, this place was in my to do list in NY. First I thought it was a fast food place so we walked in on a busy night just an hour before a booking for a visit of the Enpire State Building. When we saw the menu and realised it was more a restaurant place we decided to leave and come back the next day with more time than the half hour on that busy evening. The waitress was very understanding and I promised to be back the next evening, which was tonight, and after seeing the place and the menu I was very looking forward to it! The waitress from the night before wasn’t there but we were warmly welcomed and our evening started very well. We arrived at 9PM and ordered drinks and appetisers to share (Brussels Sprouts to die for!) We enjoyed it soooo much that my boyfriend ordered a second plate of these fabulous Brussels sprouts for diner with some onion rings. He didn’t even want a burger anymore as these sprouts were just amazing ! For my preference as keto, I choose a lettuce bed with organic beef and plenty of cheese, avocado and mayo, with more drinks of wine (keto but no crazy, still enjoying carbs from good wine ;-)) Everything was going perfectly, we were served our dishes are 9.45 PM but half way we were given the check with a quick word like “we are closing”…. Ok… but can we finish to eat ? No reply… the waitress seemed in a hurry to leave… 2 minutes after, all the chairs around us and in the whole place were on the tables and someone was cleaning the floor, just beside us… everyone left the restaurant, including us, months half full and drinks unfinished. What a shame to ruin an evening like this ! Although the food was awesome, I am not sure I would recommend this place to my keto community like it was my first idea to do so…

Great place, delicious burgers

By Vgr2008 |

A great spot in NY. The burgers are excellent and the service so attentive and friendly. We loved it!!

There Are A Million and One of these ...

By Pmsquillace |

This is a really really good burger.... just the right size that you’ll not be full and actually finish the whole thing.. A little cramped but what isn’t in nyc. Great staff oh and the only bad thing about this place is that they don’t have “real” soda if your a soda fan. Their soft drinks are artificially sweetened. Still tastes good, just not what you’d expect..

Great Food/Not so great Service

By Juju |

All the food was amazing. We ordered an American Burger, the Impossible burger, fries and a vegan milkshake. Loved the food. The atmosphere was awesome. Only complaint was our server. He paid absolutely no attention to us. Asked for ketchup and he never brought it. Never checked on us and we had to leave our table to ask him for our bill. I would still come back for the food!!

Love that lemonade

By DrJ6 |

The fries were fries. Nothing special. The bison burger on a brioche bun was very good albeit on the small side. The strawberry lemonade, however. Oh my. I could drink that delicious concoction every dinner.

Best food & top service

By stefaniejayne |

I had the farmstand collard wrap and it was amazing. So fresh and tasty and perfect if you want to eat a bit lighter at a burger place. Super quick and friendly service and good value for money. I’ll go back again and again!

Excellent Food! Full of sustainable flavor :)

By Benjamin D |

The “standard” burger recommended by the new server was excellent, perfectly cooked and an even neutral flavor with the caramelized onions. The chicky club sandwich was full of complimenting flavors. The boneless Buffalo wings were “bite” sized, about a dozen, and very tasty. Unfortunately we were told they don’t carry blue cheese sauce, which is crazy when serving Buffalo wings, but the ranch sauce was still good.

A wonderful burger joint with a relaxed atmosphere

By jem8472 |

My wife found this on TA before we visited NYC. It was close to our hotel. It is worth visiting. They have a decent sized menu for burgers and they also have a an vegan version of the menu. I had the buckaroo burger with fries and a milkshake. The food was served quickly and arrived freshly cooked and hot. The burger was excellent. It was not greasy which they often can be which causes the burger bun to fall apart. The burger was juicy and a decent size. The waffle fries were good but I needed some salt on mine. The milkshake was really thick and enjoyable. If you love burgers this is a place to put on the list. Great food great service and they have old Tom and Jerry cartoons on the tv!

Healthy, lots of variations to choose your dish.

By Ayelet P |

Excellent way to choose and control what will be served on your plate.Children love it. Excellent for Vegan.

GREAT lunch

By Florida |

Absolutely awesome spot!! Waiter was friendly, efficient, and knowledgable. Very high quality food - everything was delicious. Nice cozy atmosphere. Very clean. Would return!

So very good. You won't be disappointed!

By Kate B |

For both the meat eater and the vegan - these burgers were amazing. BUT so were the salads!!!! Also the waffle fries to die for. Short walk from times square. Just like be a his place. Oh and waiter Daniel P was great and oh so very funny!!!! Try to get in his section. 😁👍👍

To Burgers and Beyond

By Stacy A |

We love a good plant based burger and Bareburger did not disappoint. The restaurant's facade is a little set back so we missed it on the first pass but when we did find it we were very excited. We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday night. Bareburger was practically empty when we walked in. (Great for us) We were greeted by a friendly staff member, out waitress was wonderful.

Wish my salad was bigger!

By Stacy M |

Because it was delicious! The whole menu looked incredible and I can’t wait to go back and try a burger. Great options here for vegans / vegetarians / gluten-free / etc. So many different options - there is definitely something for everyone.

Amazing burgers

By Wesley S |

Great spot for food, definitely would reccomend the triple Lindy, servers are incredible and nice, and great vibes from the resteraunt

Good burgers

By Lobke V |

Nice atmosphere in this restaurant, you find something on the menu for meat lovers and vegetarians. We took a burger with frites and it was very good. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that we hardly had our last bite and the bill was already presented. I understand you want to serve a maximum of people, but this was not customer friendly.

bareburgers NY

By Claudio |

We ate an excellent super stuffed hamburger with excellent ingredients, a nice place and very friendly staff. Average prices for NY

Worth a visit !

By katebenidoleig |

After much deliberation we decided to give the Bareburger a try . Not disappointed at all . Fabulous burger changing toppings was not a problem ! Staff very friendly helpful and happy in their work . Would definitely go back.

Stumbled Across This Place...

By Samsparro999 |

Walking back from visiting the USS Intrepid, we stumbled across this place on Restaurant Row. We were a party of 6 plus a high chair, so had to wait 15 mins or so. Once seated, James took care of us. He was kind and informative, and at the end asked if any of us had any food allergies he needed to know about (2 of the party were lactose intolerant) so that was good to hear. Food didn’t take long to arrive, and was really nice. We all had burgers, and all loved them. The kids had theirs from the kids menu and it was the perfect size for them. The drinks were different, especially the cola, as it’s organic and made of cane sugar. However I suppose we have really got used to ‘normal’ coke and how that tastes. Overall a great meal and well worth the money.

Really good burger in the heart of Manhattan

By Martin P |

They offer quite good burgers - we definitely recommend them! The staff were very friendly and the burgers came pretty quickly. They have many burger options + you can customize your burger - just pick the ingredients you want. Also they have good options for people, who want to have a healthy meal. The price is reasonable for such a place in Manhattan.

Awful Customer Service. Inept Management.

By two-one-two-reviews |

Ordered delivery from this location. They left out an entire meal, and got the other meal wrong. When we called them, they offered no solution and said we weren’t understanding the situation. Had to dispute the charge and get a refund. Avoid this place and spend your money somewhere that actually cares even the slightest amount about their customers.

Tasty

By Val K |

A tasty, juicy, well cooked hamburger. Have good customer service associates. This place is in a good location.

Well worth a visit

By Marian M |

There were three of us, two meat eaters and one vegan. One side of the menu is completely vegan and the other side is for meat eaters. The food wea lovely and we all left very happy.

Tasty and unique burgers - must try!

By followtherayofsun |

Visiting New York Dec 2019 and it's snowing now it feels like Christmas! We were starving after a 5 hr flight with some delay. We were told by a friend to Bareburger and why not since there is a location on our street we are staying. We checked in about 8pm and were quickly seated by the hostess. It was about 3/4 full on Monday evening. The menu looks great with do many different burgers and also nice to see a vegan menu on the 2nd page! We ordered: - coconut milkshake cookies & cream: my husband had to help me describe this as I am still sick and can't taste but he said it had a strong coconut taste and really delicious! -So Cal burger: my burger is organic turkey with avocado, mayo, onions, alfalfa, cheese and sprout bun. It was really good considering I couldn't really taste. My husband took a few bites and he it tasted healthy. The Duke: bison, cheddar cheese, onions, mushroom, kale, tomatoes, aioli with an egg. That is a juicy and messy burger. Watching my husband eat infront of me, man not a good sight but as long as he likes it, I'm happy. He did say the bison could have more salt and add acid to the burger. He added ketchup from the table which elevated the flavour. - Moscow mule: hubby liked it. Especially at $3 special baby for Monday's. All in all, great food, fantastic table service. Would definitely come back when I can taste again.

Great for a quick bite

By Abigail |

I was out spending time with my cousins and we were looking for somewhere to eat, and Google told us this place was the closest. I have no regrets. Fantastic ambience and service, the food was very quick and hot. The server was very entertaining and kept us happy during our time there, he made sure that we were okay and never hesitated to help us with anything. I would definitely go there again when I need something quick and more on the comfort food side.

Barey, Barey, Good! 👍

By mm__j__ww |

Comfortable, casual, and the service is friendly and efficient. Burger menu is second to none! Great burger, nice non-alcoholic brew, and very tasty salad. The only oddity was that the 'pickled Pepper's in the salad were QUITE A BIT HOTTER than one would typically expect in that sort of salad. So you're forewarned! Still good for FIVE STARS, though! If you're wary of hot peppers, best to ask...

Bareburger in my heart ❤️

By Raffaumbe |

It's our favorite place in New York for great burgers. Cozy place in the heart of hell's kitchen. Very nice guys! Quality products!! We recommend the accompanying sauces, all delicious!!

Good food and nice atmosphere

By S_Hvass |

We went here twice during our week in NYC. The burgers here are tasty, juicy and really good. We were seated at a table at the back of the restaurant where we could sit by ourselves and with space around us. That was really nice. Our waiter was the same both nights, and he was really nice and attentive. Apart from the burgers also the sides here are good, and we especially loved the pickled chips, which we had never tasted before. The beers here are good to, and so are the drinks and every night has a special offer. We stayed here longer than we normally do when eating out, because we just liked the chilled atmosphere and vibe of the place. This is not a fast food place, but a real restaurant.

A tasty Bison Burger but there are better burger restaurants in NYC.

By Roberts69 |

I had a nice 'Smokey Blue' Bison and Blue Cheese burger in a wholemeal bun with caramelised onions which was very tasty. The fries were nice also. I thought the portion size of the fries was a little average, especially in a US burger joint. Ambience of restaurant was okay and the service was okay too. Whilst I did enjoy my burger at Bareburger, personally I found the nearby "5 Napkin Burger" to be much better and if visiting again would return there instead.

Good food!

By kimmykiwwi |

Super friendly, great food (good options for vegetarians!), overal would definitely recommend. Very happy we stumbled upon this place.

Rich burgers

By Gastronomo123 |

In my opinion it's good, nice and to be in New York, cheap. Burgers are still very very rich. Located just steps from Times Square.

Burger Heaven

By Georgina T |

We wanted a good burger and this restaurant was only a few minutes from the hotel we were staying at. I had the American, my husband had the supreme and my daughter built her own. Amazing burgers and the milkshakes are pretty special too. Really cool restaurant with some pretty special burgers. Staff are super helpful and the service was quick.

Delicious, Accommodating to Allergies

By asoulch |

We had a wonderful experience here. My younger sister has severe food allergies, and we came because we read that they were accommodating to dietary restrictions. They basically told her she could order anything on the menu, and they'd make it possible for her. She got a burger and fries and said it was amazing. We went on a Sunday so there was also a brunch menu, which was very good. I got chicken and waffle and also a good $4 breakfast cocktail. Excited there is also a location in our home town! (My sister's allergies are dairy, egg, treenut, and peanut for point of reference)

Great burgers

By MalcolmW648 |

The burgers were delicious and the fries too, has a good selection of craft beers and quick service, only gave a 4 rating as felt a little hurried to move on after eating as had a large queue waiting to get in, but food was spot on

Nothing special

By Jessica S |

We ordered Bareburger delivery to our hotel. We tried a lot. The black truffle and sweet fries are both great! We weren’t crazy about the cauliflower. Burgers were ugh … nothing special and lacking flavor. Bacon is pretty much raw. Fried pickles weren’t good and it’s a favorite menu item for us to get everywhere we go. I wouldn’t return.

Who knew that simple could be so good

By Ceez787 |

We went by this place at least twice a day every day as we were staying in a Studio in the same building, the place was packed day and night, we figured we had to try it at some point in time. We are very glad we did, everything is fresh and cooked to perfection, the fries the burger the bread. Very good service very quaint and cute ambiance and very reasonable prices, if you want a burger go here, everyone else does.

Outstanding Service and Food

By la112651 |

Brilliant place to eat if in the area for 46th Street. Zak provided us some recommendations on the burgers, so we went with his suggestion. We loved it! Great food, great atmosphere and great service.

Good Burger Restaurant!

By Olly M |

We came here for an early dinner, and were not disappointed! The burgers themselves were really tasty, especially the bison burger. Good location and nice amount of space inside

original

By Ilka |

We went as a group of 23, and they were so organized and helpful to locate us in the restaurant according to what we wanted. The staff was friendly and the food as super delicious and unique in taste. Everyone in our group was satisfied and would recommend this place!

Consistently Good Burgers

By Robert T |

Just like the other Bear Burgers in the chain, this one serves great burgers. You can customize your burger with different buns, cheeses, toppings, vegetables and several different patties including 4 or 5 vegan options. There are great sides like fries, onion rings, brussel sprouts, cauliflower bites, as well as several salads, melts, BLT and a few other sandwich options. There are shakes, desserts and wine and beer. Service is fast, ambiance is very simple, but this is a good option for mid town or Broadway show dinners.

Lovely place

By aleks |

Great food, lovely staff (especially one of the girls that was serving us, unfortunately don’t know your name but absolutely lovely girl 🥰🥰 good value for price and nice drinks!

Fabulous!! Really good food & atmosphere

Javier was the best at the bar! Super friendly & great service on a Saturday night! He really ensured the kitchen was great with my celiac allergy.

Best burger place in NYC?..

By Björn Hast |

I can’t complain about anything! Food felt fresh and tasted amazing. The build your burger concept is perfect. As a vegetarian this is a really good burger place. Affordable prices and really good food.

Great find - will be coming back

By Paul M |

So looking for gluten free options for my other half can be difficult but Bareburger came up on an app search and we decided to walk the ten blocks to check it out. We passed a few other restaurants on the way to bareburger that didn’t look very appealing and were thinking the worst as we approached but we are so glad we choose this place. Burgers were were cooked to perfection, not mind numbingly expensive either as NY tends to be.l and as luck would have it when we visited for a late late lunch it was happy hour! Friendly atmosphere with table dining and a small bar offering everything you need. Clean, covid security/hygiene taken seriously too. I can recommend the Blazing Bacon burger. What is great is that you have a gluten free option on every burger they do. And out gluten free expert (the misses) says best burger experience since becoming gluten free 20 years ago (other than mine when I BBQ of course) Try this place - you will not be disappointed

Book yourself in now - best burgers ever

By Jason |

Food - absolutely bloody gorgeous. Service - very friendly and nice and relaxed. Environment - clean and inviting. I wasn’t that hungry when we arrived but as part of a family of 4 just ordered some food. OMG!! In 48 years on this planet, I have never eaten a better burger. Everyone thought the same, the food was absolutely lovely. If you want American food at the top end but value for money don’t hesitate, you will not be disappointed.

Good vibe

By Mellie T |

The service was nice. The food was good. The soda was made from cane sugar.the jalapeño mozzarella sticks were good, also.

Nice

By Brooke A |

This is a good place to go for healthier food. The taste is just ok, but I was happy to have healthy options and it photographs well!

Stop for a quick lunch

By Giada M |

Here I tried the Supreme and the Classic with a portion of sweet potatoes accompanied by barbecue and spicy sauce: all good, with fresh and crunchy ingredients. Fast service and no obligation to pay a tip, which in America is almost never optional!!!

I got e. coli

By Scarlett C |

Gave me E. Coli. I ordered a vegan burger and was stuck nonstop throwing up. Worst place ever. don’t go unless u want to be in urgent care the next day

Better than expected

By Bgrace12 |

As a vegan, this place exceeded my expectations. Half of the menu offered fully vegan options! It was great because my boyfriend is not vegan and he was happy to be able to order a bison burger while I had many options as well. There are a ton of sides and burger options to suit any desire. There are also vegan milkshakes! If in the area, I highly recommend!

Nice place, good burgers

By Azat B |

I liked the burgers, the atmosphere. I happened to be there during their happy hour, so the Mohito I was offered was really good. I was hungry and was happy that I came and ate there.

The Duke is Here

By kelven w |

First meal in NYC and first meal. I had The Duke (bison burger) that had caramelized onions, garlic aioli and mushrooms. And of course, with a fried egg. Great burger but think it just needed a bit of acid to put it over the top. Side of rings and fries and a Moscow mule Monday special drink ($3?!?) We also had a vegan shake which was awesome. Fantastic coconut flavor and reminded me of the coconut bar/squares that you get at dim sum.

Amazing GF burgers

By Tom |

Ate at Bareburger twice during our stay in NYC. The most amazing burgers! All organic and about 90% of the menu is gluten free!! Would highly recommend Bareburger. Staff are friendly and really helpful too!

Don't go

By Mi-moe |

Decided to visit restaurant as it was near our hotel. It was a Wednesday at 3pm - only 2 other tables - got menus, ordered burgers, a glass of wine and a draft beer. Draft beer was warm and I told waitress when she asked if everything was ok - she came back to say all the draft beers were warm and she'd tell manager - I told her it should be taken off the bill - she didn't respond and didn't take it off. Burger was to be medium and it was medium rare - didn't send back as I knew they'd throw out and I hate to waste food - again nothing special at all. Ordered a salad to go with it, nothing to write about. Went to use restroom before leaving and stench was gross - smelled like the sewer had backed up - told my friend to use the other bathroom - she reported same stench...would never go back...sad w/restaurants trying to lure in customers that the service, food and environment were lower than average and on a slow afternoon :(

Great burger

By Lexi R |

This is a cool little burger joint. Has great ambiance and the food and service was excellent. Would definitely return.

Good burgers, all organic

By IvanV_Mex |

Good place to have an all-organic meal. I liked the burger and fries, it’s a good place in your way to either the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum or the Circle Line tours. The service was good as well.

Just Okay but We'd Go Back...

By Chililizzy |

Finding a burger joint that caters to meat-eaters and vegans isn't all that easy - but Bareburger delivered on options for all. One side of the menu is for meat-eaters, the other, vegans - and they have little signs about the benefits of going plant-based. Swoon. Gushing aside, the foods was just okay and the prices were outrageous. They ran out of a lot of toppings and beer options which was disappointing. The service was poor at the location we went to but I try not to judge a restaurant on a couple of folks who may have just been tired after a long day. I recommend the vegan milkshake.

Excellent burger’s and draft beers

By Fajemalou |

I liked the fact that it’s not a huge restaurant, the choices are clear and you can have excellent Wagyu meat. There are some draft beers and prices are not too expensive giving the situation.

Amazing!!

By Yoav Shulvais |

This place offers best-quality organic burgers, with many options for toppings, from cheeses to vegetables and special sauces. They even have an entire menu for vegans! Also, delicious french fries and onion rings are a great addition to the meal. Would definitely come again in my next visit to New York.

Don’t go

By Veronica K |

Everyone was helped around us but us. We waited for 10 minutes and never even got a menu. Everyone looked at us but never asked if we had been helped.
