Wow! What a great experience! Wonderful service! Food was amazing. Our dog Pluto is so happy! We had a fun time visiting this restaurant, will definitely come back. Thank you !:)

Lovely place, but the menu doesn’t cater to dogs 😅. Bring your own dog bowl and water! Sitting outside at the Barking Dog was very pleasant - you're in this sort of outdoor mini park that's enclosed from the streets

What a lovely place, great food, great drinks service was on point. The G-Dog is an excellent brunch drink, Crispy Chicken Sando was delicious. Great place overall

Customer service really makes or breaks a restaurant. Unfortunately, for Barking Dog, the customer service today was horrdendous. First, my partner and I (with our dog) got seated pretty quickly and it was a busy Sunday afternoon because the weather was nice. We ordered our apps and drinks which werer okay. We asked for water three times (all the other tables got water and we didn't get our water until the end when we were ready to leave). The issue started with the food. I ordered steak frites to be medium but it was way over well done. The waitress (who barely checked on us) said the kitchen doesn't make a mistake but can get me another plate. I ordered a cheeseburger and it took 20 minutes, which at that point we were ready to go since my partner already ate half his plate. Our waitress was nowhere to be found and we had to ask another waiter to get our check. Then what I assumed was the manager came out with a nasty attitude and said "what more do you want, your burger is out now." Now, my partner is a resturant manager so we are both well aware that when a customer at a table has the wrong order, etc., that customer's food is priority. When the burger came, it was well done and has a sauce that I clearly told the waitress not to have on the burger. The waitress even said "oh man the kithen is messing up today." Overall, I am pretty disappointed especially with that manager who was rude.

Nice people, lovely margaritas and we had really great burgers but also great european style food, finally!!!, like shepherds pie. Highly recommended!!

Excellent food. Great service. A lovely environment. Great choice before a Broadway show. Make sure you hit Happy Hour!

Really great atmosphere and friendly staff. Got the spinach and feta frittata and split the waffle - both were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection; food also came quick but we were there right when they opened. If you’re coming in the warmer months, plenty of outdoor seating where your fur baby is allowed. Will definitely be back if we’re ever in NY.

It’s a really cute place where you could attend with your pet, specially dog.. they prepare special parties and menu for them Particularly I ate Benedict ‘s egg Florentine it was delicious

Sitting outside at the Barking Dog was very pleasant - you're in this sort of outdoor mini park that's enclosed from the streets, so it's pretty quiet and tranquil. I ordered a champagne cocktail to start which was very tasty, though unfortunately the food took forever. I just ordered an omelet, though we must have waited close to an hour. We actually saw other tables get up and leave before their food came because they were sick of waiting. The omelet turned out to be pretty good, though I don't think I would come back here unless I had a ton of time to kill or if I was not starving.

Lovely restaurant near the theatres. We came for dinner tonight and thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere in the courtyard. Apparently this is THE place to go with your dog for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Great servers, especially Facundo & Christi. We can recommend the Illyrian Sheepdog Burger - mine was adapted for gluten free by removing the bun. Absolutely delicious and I ate loads of the yummy fries.

Fabulous experience from start to finish. Was greeted by Sonila and she was kind enough to let us switch our table to one under an umbrella out of the sun. Jonathan our waiter was fantastic! So attentive and very accommodating. My friend and I each ordered the cobb salad (delish!) and the decadent chocolate truffle cake for dessert. Samuel unobtrusively was there to clear our empty plates. The ambiance is so perfect - outdoors and for a moment, I forgot I was in NYC. I highly recommend! I'll definitely be back!

The food was delicious and the manager Stathis made our day. Exceptional service and great environment.

Barking Dog in Hell’s Kitchen is a great spot to go, especially if you want to bring your dog along. I brought my dog with me when I met up with a friend, because I saw online dogs are allowed in the outdoor seating. But this restaurant goes above and beyond allowing your dog to sit on the patio. On arrival, they gave my dog Maxine a treat at the front desk, then once seated they give her a water bowl and I get to look through a ‘dog menu’ for me to choose a main course for her, and there’s even a choice of dog desert! The restaurant staff are wonderful with the dogs. I am so excited to return.

We stopped in here a couple of times while in NYC recently. With high Covid transmission, we are trying to eat in places with outdoor seating and they have a wonderful outdoor space. Service was friendly, food was good. Just a pleasant experience and a great alternative to cramped sidewalk seating which is common in this part of NYC. A great find!

Best restaurant EVER. Don’t miss out. Gave our doggie a treat and water upon arrival. Good yummy to the tummy

My husband and I had brunch here before a Saturday Broadway matinee. I had read some good reviews before I booked it but also saw comments about slow service. So when I made the reservation on Open Table, I added a note that we had a show to get to after the meal. When we checked in that morning, the hostess immediately acknowledged my note. Service was excellent including really friendly, attentive staff. Food was good and we enjoyed the nice outdoor setting. It seems like it would be a great place for happy hour. Was it the best breakfast I’ve ever had? No. But we got what we were looking for: a nice meal within walking distance to the theater district and excellent service that got us out on time.

Staff was very attentive and helped make it a special night for me. They were in on a surprise visitor for my Mother's Day weekend outing. Loved the dog menu and specially priced cocktails for dog families.

This street level restaurant has a large outdoor seating area and welcomes dogs. The indoor seating area is smaller. The cocktails are good. The food is acceptable, nothing was outstanding. This is a solid dining option if you are with your dog or seeing a show at a nearby theater. The service was attentive. There is a 3% service charge if you pay with a credit card.

If I could give zero stars I would. This was a terrible breakfast. All the food is premade, it was served cold (wasn’t warmed up to begin with). Seriously just don’t go here. Worst waste of money ever.

We stopped in on Sunday for brunch and were seated w/o reservations although they take them. Small quaint place. Good service. Couple next to us had her dog inside w/ her. Unfortunately food was average. I had eggs Benedict. Nothing special. Breakfast potatoes were awful. Probably won’t return.

Went for a pre-order theater dinner and ordered off their two course theater menu. Excellent value and delicious meal.I had the pumpkin soup as my starter and the breaded chicken breast with grilled veggies and mashed potatoes as my entree. Added a slice of blueberry mascarpone cake - yum! Service was excellent and it had a relaxed, fun atmosphere. I also liked that it was dog friendly.

We stumbled upon this cafe for a Saturday brunch, pre-matinee. We were seated quickly. The coffee is very good. We had delicious food: turkey sausage, avocado toast, and a spinach & feta frittata.

Excellent place to visit before the theatre New World Stages. Sophia the bartender is friendly happy and efficient. Overall relaxing vibe from the moment you are greeted at the door. Great Happyhour!!!

Barking Dog, or better to say DOG FOOD! I got my Entry, not even finished up with my starter, which by the way came later than the starter of my friends. My entry (Salmon) was really dry and the steak of my husband was cold. Finally I’ve paid almost 200 USD for NOTHING, nobody apologied, Never again !!

Lovely atmosphere. The owner recognised us from a previous visit when we had a drink. We wanted to come back to have a meal and we were not disappointed. Great food and very friendly staff.

Visited here several times when in NYC both for food and just drinks. Its a nice wee place. More locals than tourists which is usually a good sign!

I ate at the restaurant one weeknight, very good atmosphere in the restaurant, the dishes are quite hearty and well prepared, we also had glasses of wine, the wine list is thin but the wine very good. We had a great time tonight

We came across this pub on our way to the theatre and had a great dinner. My daughter had the steak which was done to perfection, my husband had the Greek salad and I had a pear an blue cheese salad both tasty and refreshing. The service was very friendly and efficient and it was a nice atmosphere - could not fault it!

A quiet little restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen, opposite Worlwide Plaza Fountain. A few tables on the terrace, very nice on this hot evening at the end of July. We take Eggplant Rollatoni (very good, light) and Five Cheese Macaroni (very good, a little heavy but the title of the dish is very clear!). Impeccable service, not given 80 € to 2 about for a dish and drinks.

Visited here as a solo traveller !! I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant ever !! The food was cold, bland and expensive !!! Avoid at all costs ! there are many other eateries who will value your custom !!! Never mind Barking dog !!! You’d have to be barking mad to eat here.

Came across this bar/restaurant on our first night in NYC. Great staff, friendly and helpful and AMAZING burgers! Don’t go if you’re not dog friendly. We loved it. Thank you!

Great place and service. Food was amazing! We took the special of the day (shepherd pie) and Best Friend burger. Both was amazing. Cocktails was very delicious. (Ginger spicy margarita & Gdog) definitely we will come back.

The food is quite ordinary, without any originality. the salmon is overcooked, the fries not as good as at the local McDonald's. and yet the prices are dizzying!

Had a great meal. We both enjoyed our meals. Well cooked hot and very tasty. Nice atmosphere friendly staff. Met repeat customers or go regularly. A couple of cute dogs also enjoying their meals!

Beautiful plaza restaurant near time square. My wife a me kids loved the food and the service. They have a heated enclosed patio for the winter months that could accommodate us and our dog.

We had such a lovely time. dog friendly, great service and we felt like we were at a friend and family gathering! Everybody was friendly, even the guests talked to each other.. what fun! And the food was outrageously delicious!

Great pre theater spot in the heart of theater district. We had the wings, calamari and cob salad for starters. Al made to perfection. The highlight though was the short rib burger and the lamb burger. Outdoor patio is a must visit.

We had an amazing time at this little cafe on Worldwide plaza. Great food and excellent service. The outdoor area looks wonderful even though it was very cold. It should be unique when the weather gets warm.

Had the Christmas dinner $65. Included appetizers, I had lobster bisque, entree, pork chop with veggies & potatoes & dessert wass of course NY cheese cake. Excellent meal. Our waiter brought happy vibes & terrific service. Manager, Lucie is personable & attentive. A must go to. Plus can bring dinner dogs & has dog menu. Wonderful place

Skip the breakfast here, just go to a deli! My husband and I ate here on a Saturday morning in early April. While the staff was pleasant, they couldn’t seem to “get it together.” I had questions regarding the menu they couldn’t seem to answer. The couple in the table next to ours tried paying with cash. Not one server seemed to know how to accept cash (yes. Some guests still like to pay the old-fashioned way.) The salmon and Bagel I ordered didn’t seem fresh, and they charged me an additional $3.00 for the cream cheese. I could see this location being great in the summer because of the expansive outdoor area, but definitely not worth it for a standard breakfast visit.
Worth visiting!
A great new addition in Hell’s Kitchen with tasty food, a good selection of wines and a great outdoor space. Big portions and reasonably priced. Of course they're dog friendly too
