pizza was so good- crisp on the bottom with warm gooey toppings. Messy and greasy but really hits the stop. Absolute chaos in the shop though and the guys behind the counter can be super rude but it’s overall worth it because the pizza is so good. wouldn’t recommend if you want somewhere to sit down and eat- this is just a quick grab and go meal.

One of the best pizzas I've had! Friendly and fast service! Crispy pizza base and stunning toppings! Greg it one of a kind! Amazing gentleman! Make sure to come to bleeckers street pizza and make to try the Nonna Maria! 🍕

Best pizza in NY. Te Nona Maria is the one to get. Greg, the owner, made me feel like home. I enjoyed listing to him tell his story of 9/11 events.

This is absolutely the best pizza I have ever had. Greg met us at the door and immediately recognized us as tourists. He helped us all pick out his favorite slices and was so friendly and kind. We loved it. Definitely coming back on all future trips to NYC.

The pizza was amazing. Great spot. Had a wonderful chat with Greg who told us about the history of the restaurant and how they preserve their family recipes. I have no photos because i ate it so quick i forgot to take some. Love from toronto

This is my sister's favorite spot for pizza when she is in NYC and now I know why. We were visiting from the Nashville area for a few days away. We enjoyed chatting with Mr. Greg and the pizza was absolutely delicious. I look forward to my next trip to the city to visit Bleeker Street Pizza. Make sure you get the Nonna Maria.

Iconic pizza with a ton of deliciousness packed inside! Highly recommend trying out this iconic pizza if you're in New York.

Lived up to hype. We all really enjoyed our food and I can definitely recommend the Nonna Maria. Great service. Would definitely go out of my to visit again!!

Stumbled across this when we were in area. Didn’t want a big meal so slice of pizza would be fine. Do glad we did - best we’ve ever had. Dough was incredible. In a very expensive city this place is a real find.

After reading about Bleecker Street Pizza would it live up to the hype? Absolutely in fact the best pizza I have ever tasted. I went for the Nonna Maria and it was absolutely delicious whilst Jnr Jock went for the cheese slice and loved that too. After tasting my Nonna Maria she decided to get one too. We sat outside on a gorgeous day in November with the perfect pizza, cold beer for me and a cold white wine for Jnr and just watched the world go by. Will definitely return this time with Mrs Jock next year

Award winning pizza apparently. Must say good size slices and tasted good. Premises leaves a lot to be desired but hey it’s the food that counts.

We stopped in for a slice at Bleeker Street Pizza on a rainy day. Not only was the pizza fantastic, Greg greeted us as we entered, gave great recommendations and was excited to chat about the history of Bleeker Street Pizza. He made our visit a 10/10….we will definitely be back.

Now onto the main attraction, the pizza. We ordered their signature pizza which had a thin crust with a perfect balance of crispy and chewy. The sauce was tangy and had just the right amount of spice. The toppings were fresh and plentiful, making each bite burst with flavor. I especially loved the addition of fresh basil, it added a refreshing touch to the pizza.

Bleecker Street Pizza offers both dine-in and takeaway options. The service is quick and efficient, whether you're grabbing a slice on the go or enjoying a leisurely meal in the restaurant. The staff is always happy to make recommendations and ensure that your order is exactly to your liking.

The best pizza I have ever eaten, and I tried the best ⭐️ Michelin pizza located in Naples, Italy. But this pizza went overboard! It has a delicious crunchy dough and the tomato sauce is uff exquisite! You have to go visit this place. Mega recommended the Nonna María pizza, which is the same as the margharita pizza

Fast, efficient service and a very tasty slice. Good amount of topping. For me, the crust was a bit ‘biscuity’ but I wouldn’t let that put you off. Well worth a visit.

Best pizza in NYC. We go every time we visit NYC. Met Greg this time and he made this visit memorable. Friendly and full of local knowledge, happy to give us tips on where else to visit in the city and even cleared our table for us. Thanks Greg

Another overhyped pizza place in my opinion. The dough has a strange texture - crispy on the outside but inside as well. Ingredients come shy too... there are better options out there.

This is the most delicious pizza we had in New York City! You could tell the ingredients were fresh, the place was extremely clean, and the owner, Greg, even stopped by our table and chatted with us. He was very friendly and was more than happy to tell us about his experiences in owning the shop and some of the tips from he received from his Nonna for her pizza recip

Really nice place to have a quick pizza slice. Friendly staff. Enjoyable talk with Greg as well. Greetings from the Basque Country!

So, pizza in general can be very specific to any given person's taste. For me, the crust on this pizza is a bit cakey and greasy / oily. Too many fantastic pizza places nearby and throughout NYC to not be picky. The garlic knots here looked pretty good but I didn't give them a try on this particular trip. Not sure I'd run back to this particular pizza joint.

Really tasty pizza here - not expensive either. We had a couple of slices of the mushroom pizza, really crispy on the bottom - delicious! Highly recommended for a quick bite to eat!

You think you know a good pizza and then you try a Bleeker Street Pizza, which is out of this world! The sauce is made to a secret family recipe and is unbelievably good - but the crust!! I have never tasted a pizza crust like it! Fabulous! We were lucky enough to meet Greg, the owner, and he wouldn’t reveal what they do, but whatever it is, it is like no other pizza I have ever tasted. This was the Nona Maria pie - a house specialty. We were here on a Devour food tour (also highly recommended) and I’m sure we’ll be back to enjoy more very soon!

Great pizza, tried the Nonna Maria, the White Sicilian (different crust) and the cheese. All were very delicous. I am really happy we came to check out the place. Special thanks to Greg, he was very friendly and helpful, made our visit a nice memory.

Best pizza slices in New York, the staff are lovely and it’s really good value for money. Greg was very welcoming and I’d definitely recommend the buffalo chicken and spicy pepperoni! We will be back!

It's so wonderful that I found you all by chance. I will be staying in New York City until after New Year's Day, which means I’ll have the opportunity to come back and visit a few more times before I leave!

We go out of our way to get this pizza every time we're in New York. Nona Maria is the absolute yummiest slice I've ever had, and they never disappoint! We'll be back again and again

Grabbed a slice of the Nonna Maria and it did not disappoint! So glad we had Bleeker Street Pizza on our to do list! This was so delicious!

Visited on the Viador Greenwich Village food tour and sampled Nona Maria pizza -j ust awesome! Puts any other pizza we've ever had to shame. Was great to meet Greg, the charming owner. Will definitely be returning!

Searching the internet for pizza recommendations before our flight home and fortunately, our hotel was 5 minutes from here and the reviews suggested we had to try it. It is easy to find and, unsurprisingly, popular given the reviews that proliferate about this place. As you enter, it is a fairly rough and ready joint but I love that. One goes to the serving counter where there are many pizzas lined up behind glass as well as menus and information. We went to the cashier and were, frankly rudely, told to go to the other end and order where we were again served in a very brusque manner. Maybe this is just my British sensitivities although I have lived in the US for nearly 20 years. The service reminded me more or Paris than the US, even NYC. But still, such things are minor. The pizza was, as reported, very good and the slices are generous and filling. We were not treated to any of the conversation that features in many reviews here and we sat and ate at one of the tables of which there are several, even though the restaurant is by no means large. I'd eat here again for the quality of the pizza, but not for the service although I am prepared to put that down to a bad day and maybe I gave off the tourist vibe or something else that upset people.

During our stay in NY we had two lunches at Bleecker street Pizza. The second visit we had the pleasure to meet the wonderful Greg, the owner of this fantastic restaurant! Thanks Greg for a wonderful chat and your hospitality❤️ We had several slices of Pepperoni Pizza, and let me tell you, THE MOST HEAVENLY PIZZA EVER!!! The crust, the lovely amount of cheese, and the very many slices of Pepperoni! I was in Pizza heaven! I miss the city but most of all, I miss the Pepperoni Pizza on Bleecker Street Pizza!! Joy and friends from Sweden

Had read great reviews about Bleeker Street Pizza and had to try it. After discovering more about how it got started and the dreams of Doug Greenwood who used his grandmother’s recipes to create such an amazing pizza, this had to be a stop for lunch. Went there after touring the 9/11 Memorial, which was a perfect way to pay tribute to Doug who was a former NYPD member who worked the disaster. Pizza was great! Tried the pepperoni and the Nona Maria. Pepperoni was our favorite! Also, had some really good garlic knots. Everything is fresh and very flavorful. Sauce is excellent! Crust had that wonderful “crunch” and folded perfectly. Will definitely visit Bleeker Street Pizza again when in NYC!

Delicious food, fabulous hospitality and friendly service. Greg was a fantastic host and made wonderful recommendations to make our lunch a great experience. 100/10 best pizza in NYC!

This is New York classic, famous for its perfectly thin, crispy slices. Heard from a friend and we had to try it and it was mind-blowing. The no-frills atmosphere lets the pizza shine, making it a must try stop.

Well….. we heard all about this place on YouTube through Jon Barr. It did not disappoint. We went for lunch on our second day and shared a whole pizza between us which was genuinely the best we’ve ever had. So much so we had to go back on our last day in New York one last time. On this occasion we chatted with the amazingly hospitable Greg who used to own the business before retiring and now only works one day a week. Greg made our last trip to Bleeker an amazing one and we’ll always remember how lovely he was to us. Big thank you to Greg for leaving a lovely lasting memory of our trip to New York. This was our 10th wedding anniversary as we got married in New York. What a way to finish the trip off. Amazing food, amazing service and a no brainer for anyone travelling to New York.

Me and my gf came from Santiago Chile for an early lunch to get some slices of pizza. We were lucky enough to bump with Greg, the owner, who recommended us the Nonna Maria, he was not wrong at all! Great pizza with a lot of fresh flavor, the sauce was incredible! We also had a pepperoni slice, which is my benchmark, and it was awesome! Please dont forget to stop and eat here if you are in New York city.

Great Pizza and Greg ist an amazing Guy. Gully enjoyed. We came from Germany Düsseldorf and i think we dont have a better Pizza in germany. Next time again for Sure! Regards Sebastian

We stopped here for lunch during our trip. My son was hungry and saw the Bleecker Street Pizza sign across the street. He didn't want to go any further. So we went in and there were a lot of people ordering or waiting for pizza. We ordered a variety of pizzas and found a free table. When we tasted it, it was fantastic. I have never had pizza this good. I was going to order again. Highly recommend.

We where holiday in Manhattan and Greenwich Village was on our Itinerary, we had done our homework and Bleeker Street was a must, we visited early around 10:39am so wasn’t expecting them to be open, but they was. We ordered two slices, Pepperoni and their signature Nonna Maria, Oh my Goodness, the best ever. A gentleman approached and was so pleasant and friendly, his name was Greg and was the previous owner, he was so passionate about his pizza that he explained he’d had the contract drawn up that the recipes must stay the same and that he would work Fridays, and that his brothers photograph who owned the shop previously but passed from his gallant work on the 9/11 tragedy must remain on the wall. He was so chatty and friendly, we talked about presidents, prime ministers and all things England and America. So to sum up, The Pizza is the best we’ve tasted, and Greg, you Sir are a Legend, a warm, welcoming, and friendly chap whom we are glad to have met.

On a very long pizza tour of NYC we made sure to stop at Bleecker St and boy did we get lucky. We got the chance to talk to Greg who only works one day a week. He shared some great memories and conversation with us. The Nonna Maria pizza was amazing but the moment even more special so share with Greg. A real highlight of my trip.

Wow! I’m a pizza lover and this place is the best I’ve ever had! I read and saw all the reviews and my expectations were very high! This pizza joint really proofed they’re the best.

Greg was so friendly and the pizza was bloody lovely. We travelled all the way from NZ and would come back in a heartbeat . Cheers.

Not only the pizza was truly delicious we had a super nice chat with a guy named Greg. 10/10 experience, 100% would recommend

Nice pizza, good price and fast service! A bit dirty here and there, but you don't pay for it I guess. Overall very happy with this place!

Bleecker St., Pizza is a absolute must and every visit to New York City! The Nonna Maria and garlic knots are not to be missed.

Had to stop off at the world famous bleaker street pizza whilst in New York. Had two slice of pizza and a drink and it cost 14 dollars which I feel is reasonable for new York pizza. We were in the door served and sat outside enjoying our pizza within 15 minutes and these pizzas were everything you hear about New York pizza. Crispy in the base and not overcooked. Without a doubt the best pizza I have had in my life

A wonderful stop on our tour of Greenwich Village. Greg Greenwood (brother of the former owner) sat with us and provided a history of the restaurant and his family’s passion for great pizza. We had the Nonna Maria, his grandmothers own recipe, which was out of this world! We can see why this was named the best pizza in NYC three years in a row by Food Network. Many thanks to Greg for sharing his family story and that of his brother Doug.

Warm greeting by the owner who made us feel sooo welcome! The smell coming from the cute corner shop was too good to pass by and we are so glad we popped in. The pizzas were amazing, best I have had. Loved the atmosphere in the place, busy, authentic and so helpful.

This is my second time visiting Bleecker Street Pizza. The first time was many years ago and each time has been exceptional. We had a wonderful conversation with Greg today, and let me tell you, he is a treasure! This is pizza at its finest and a must visit locale in the West Village.

Took a day off from work and traveled from Baltimore to NYC for some sightseeing. First stop was my go to place in NYC for authentic pizza. Consistently excellent including the famous Nona Maria. Added bonus this time around, the owner, Gregg, was there and we had a good conversation. He not only recommended I try the real Parmesan cheese (it was great!), but also gave me a cup of ice on my way out as it was extremely hot that day in the city. Thanks, Gregg!

I have tried a couple of pizzas in nyc and I’m confident enough to say that this pizza is really good. The variety of slices is amazing. I read a lot of reviews before trying this place and you must try Nona Maria. It’s a classic slice but it is perfect. The slice is big. The amount of cheese and tomato sauce is perfect. Every slice is hot. And also, there is not oil on the slice. There are a lot of slices in ny that are more oil and butter than pizza. This pizza doesn’t have that quality. The dough is soft and oiliness! Perfect pizza YOU MUST TRY NONA MARIA. And if you want to try something different, try the WHITE PIE. It’s a pizza either three kinds of cheese. It is way better than a four cheese pizza. White pie is a wonderful slice. It was a recommendation from the guy who prepared the pizzas! Slice: 5/5 Price: between 4 and 5 dollars Environment: 5/5 Preparation: 5/5 The only but is that the line was long. That also is something good because demonstrates that the place is famous!

Love coming here, they do some of the best pizza in the city. Big shout out to Greg, he is such a welcoming gentleman and makes time to chat to the guests.

Our second visit in as many vacations to NYC! Found this place while in a food tour and had to go back this trip! We will ALWAYS put it on the top of our list when we go to NYC. Hit delicious amazing pizza in a local, authentic NYC pizzeria!! So so so so good!!!

We met the owner, Greg, who was incredibly friendly, told us about the family business & took time to share the secrets with us ❤️🍕. Amazing pizza, like no other we’ve had in NYC! We will tell all our friends & family!!! -Fans from Iowa

There's a reason why its a TOP BEST place for pizza in NYC--the crust is pure perfection! Just the right amount of crip while being chewable and soft. I brought my friend visiting from California and she went back twice more as it was soo good! each slice is good enough for a lunch as they are generous and filling. We had the BBQ chicken and pepperoni slices. They were delicious! The place gets packed and there are lines outside. Small place and sitting its a premium. If you hover, please usually eat and leave so you can grab a seat. The drinks are very large so they can be shared. We also had the wings which were spicy and quite meaty. Overall, an excellent experience and I will be sure to return when am starving and looking a quick bite at a reasonable price. This is a MUST visit place while in the village.

You walk up the counter, order and when your pizza or slices are ready, find a table to sit and eat. The thin slice pizza was really good. The sicilian was good, but, in my opinion, not as good as the thin slice pieces. The people at the counter are friendly and there is indoor seating.

This place has a great local vibe. It’s small but welcoming, and you can tell it’s a neighborhood favorite. Whether you grab a quick slice or sit down for a meal, you’ll enjoy the experience!

We visited Bleecker pizza on Friday Dec 6. The entire staff was very welcoming, and super friendly Then there is Greg the owner. In addition to having his Grandmother’s pizza recipe, (which is fabulous) along with many other great tasting food, like the garlic knots, he took the time to chat with us, share a few stories about himself. If you haven’t tried this place, you should. See you in June, Greg on a Friday. Dallas the Grinch!

Very good pizza with tagliata ,several tastes fresh quick Small terrace very nice In a soho neighborhood to do

This pizza is amazing if you are looking for authentic NY Style pizza. Please do your self a favour and head to this place. Greg the owner is a lovely guy that personally had a conversation with us, telling us the story of this pizzeria. Loved the stories of this family business including the story of their signature slice the Nonna Maria. This was the best pizza I have eaten!

Compared to joe’s pizza or Little italy pizza, we preferred bleecker street pizza. A little less choice, less helpful staff, but taste for authentic street pizza.

Visiting New York from Liverpool & was recommended from a friend. We was greated by the friendly 'Greg' in Bleeckers! He made us welcome. The pizza was amazing! I tried the deep dish pie slice, very tasty. Worth a visit 100%

They weren’t kidding - had an absolutely delicious slice of Sausage & pepperoni pizza, with its perfect base & family secret recipe sauce. So good! However, the real value was in meeting Greg - former owner, passionate about pizza & people. He kindly shared with us his experience & realities of living in NYC. Thank you for your kindness Greg, you made our day - your friends from New Zealand 🇳🇿

Awesome pizza well worth the trip and a lovely owner Greg who came over and shared the history and offered other advise about NYC. Definitely recommend a visit

I coudnt leave New York without trying new york style pizza, this place came recommended so I thought i give it s try,the pizza slice was good and fresh and they been there for years

Bleecker Street, is my favorite NY Style pizza dough with good aroma, very good tomato sauce and quality products in all their combinations. There's not a time I don't stop by NYC, I don't eat a nice pizza there. Some will have more renown; but the best is this

While completing a foodie tour through Greenwich we stopped at Bleecker Street Pizza for a slice of pizza. We were given a slice of Nonna Maria which is absolutely the best pizza I have tried while visiting New York. The base was crispy with a melt in the mouth topping. Greg the owner also introduced himself and shared the history of the business. Congratulations on a successful business and thank you for taking time out of your day to talk to us.

One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The staff were really nice and friendly. The only downsides were the long line, due to its popularity, and that it was very warm inside.

Nonna Maria is one of the best pizza slices ive ever tried. Would easily go back here again! Greg was very welcoming, and helped us out! :)

I couldn’t visit New York City without sampling some New York style pizza – from a few different locations! – and this place claims to be one of the best! I had a slice of the Nona Marie, and whilst it was very very good, I wouldn’t say it’s the best pizza I have ever had. There’s places in London – 50 Kalo, Rossopomodoro and Fatto a Mano for example – that are much better and much tastier in my humble opinion (perhaps I just prefer the Neapolitan way). However, that wouldn’t stop me from returning to Bleecker Street Pizza the next time I am in the West Village. Really nice place to have a quick pizza slice, friendly staff, and some outdoor pavement seating which is nice to sit at in the sun. I recommend a visit if in the area

I’ve been visiting Bleecker Street Pizza as able , since I lived in NYC for college, 20 years ago. When I travel back, I always make a point to visit, now with my daughter. We all agree it’s absolutely the best! The service has always been prompt and friendly. It was such a pleasure to meet former owner, Greg today and hear his story. Like his pizza, it’s one I won’t forget.

Believe the hype. This is the most delicious pizza we had in New York City! You could tell the ingredients were fresh, the place was extremely clean, and the owner, Greg, even stopped by our table and chatted with us. He was very friendly and was more than happy to tell us about his experiences in owning the shop and some of the tips from he received from his Nonna for her pizza recipe. We would go back just to see him, but with plenty of options to choose from, we will also definitely be back for another amazing slice.

Wow, this is the BEST pizza I have had in my life. The crust is thin crispy and great flavor on its own. The sauce is delicious, a wonderful blend of tastes. The cheese is just right, with such wonderful notes of flavor. The pepperoni- yum with a crunch. I have a had good pizza before. This pizza is in a class of its own. I am still thinking about this pizza 8 months later.

Bleecker Street Pizza rocks! Awesome slices, friendly vibe, and totally affordable. It's a must-visit spot for pizza lovers in NYC!

Please don’t take away my honorary New Yorker card but this pizza is overrated. I can’t point exactly why since I prefer New York style pizzas. But it just didn’t do it for me

The best pizza I've ever had. Very fresh and cooked to perfection! Must try the Nonna Maria slice or whole pie! Always my first stop in NYC!

Believe the hype about this place. Fab range of pizza slices which are also reasonably priced for NYC. Pizza was absolutely delicious, I could’ve eaten a whole pie. Plus the garlic knots were to die for !!! 10/10. I need to come back asap

I was researching a place for pizza in the village and decided to give this place a try based on all the hype. The “owner” was not there, and the staff was not very welcoming. We tried the house speciality grandmothers pizza both styles and the white pizza as well as some garlic knots. The speciality pizza was very good, but I thought the large tomato chunks were a bit much. The white pizza was great as were the garlic knots (fresh but tons of garlic). There was a pizza tour coming thru, and I heard the guide explain that the owner sold the business, and the place has fallen down in the pizza rankings. The pizza was good and probably worth a visit, but I will try another place next time.

I went to a Pizza hut for breakfast one afternoon and I have a lot to say about why pizza is for breakfast. It is a warm meal that American's like to have. It can have vegetables and mozerelle cheese on it, but let's not forget that vegetables are healthy and so they can be a breakfast meal. I cannot stop grinning because our secret is out now Americans! We can eat fastfood for breakfast!

Stopped by last night for a quick slice and was not disappointed. I had a cheese slice, and my wife had the Nona Maria. The crush was crispy and there was no grease as is the case with many pizzerias. Very tasty. Quick service and plenty of seating. Highly Recommend.

Saw all the reviews and travelled from Australia to experience the famous Bleeker St Pizza and honestly the best pizza I've ever had! The Nonna Maria pizza is a MUST try the sauce is unbelievable with the fresh mozzarella and basil. The personal touch was a standout, Greg came and spoke to us, told us about the pizzas and history and made it a truly special experience. Must visit when in New York!!

Fantastic pizza and service! We chatted with the owner and the former owner Gregg who was very polite and friendly. Big thanks from The Cruel Intentions from Oslo, Norway.

Stopped by Bleeker Pizza for the first time today. We went during the lunch hour. It’s a small pizza restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Pizza was good. No restrooms…fyi for travelers. We had the pleasure to meet Greg. He is the past owner of Bleeker Pizza and it was obvious he enjoyed meeting people. He is kind, friendly, and demonstrated excellent costumer service skills. If you have a chance, stop in on a Friday and say “hi” to Greg. He’s in on Fridays. :) I would also like to pay tribute to his brother, also a past owner of Bleeker Pizza, who heroically helped during 911 as a Captain in NY Police Dept.

One of the best pizzas in New York. Typical "street" atmosphere. Really nice people serving, though they're busy and work fast so there's a lot of yelling. Welcome to New York. :-)

Best pizza place in new york. Best slice of pizza in the world. Amazing and friendly staff, Greg is very welcoming and very nice person. Bless you Greg.

What an amazing place with friendly and efficient staff. The pizza was great and a great New York experience. A must for locals and tourists.

Firstly Gregg was fantastic, helped us with where to go and what to order. The Nonna Maria slice is a must and is the best slice of pizza I have ever eaten.

A good pizzeria with affordable prices en wel located. It's something I really would recommend. Nice neighborhood also.

We tried a lot of the hot spots for pizza while visiting and we ranked this #1. The Nonna Maria slice was fantastic. We also enjoyed visiting with Greg!

Delicious sliced pizza. Pepperoni I still dream of, and coming from a Roman doc is a lot of stuff! Local a little 'age but very quaint in a charming neighborhood

Best pizza we’ve ever had. We tried the Nonna Maria and it was delicious!! We also had the pleasure of meeting Greg. Lovely place, definitely worth a visit

We had several different slices. The Nano Maria is the best pizza I have ever had. The pepperoni square also amazing. Well worth the trip. You will k no it be disappointed!

The pizza was great. Our family had the Nona Maria and pepperoni. The staff was super especially Greg. He spent time talking with our family and even took a pic for us!!!

I was super excited to try out this place. Our family got cheese and the Nona Maria. The bottom crust was too crispy. It didn’t look burned, but it kind of that taste. Not sure if that is normal or not, but it was just okay.

Had seen some reviews from multiple sources and wanted to visit. So glad that we did. The location is small quaint shop. We were greeted by Greg the owner. We conversed a little before ordering. While waiting for our order, Greg chatted us up a little more. Soon our order was ready and Greg hand delivered our pizza's to us. We had the "world famous" Nona Maria and pepperoni. Both were excellent. Greg, even gave us some helpful hints of the neighborhood that we used to sightsee. Will visit again when/if we visit NYC in the future.

The Pie Pizza was very good and crusty. The slice of pizza was cold and not as fresh. The place was very dirty. Not enough sitting. The bathroom was very dirty and no one was around to clean the tables after people used them.

My wife and I went to Bleecker Street Pizza for a quick bite while visiting the city. The pizza was incredible! They were extremely pizza but very personal and polite. There's an older gentleman who works there and his name is Greg! I went to order my second round of pizza and got to talking to him. He's around 60 years young and was in the military. We shared a few laughs and told him it was our wedding anniversary and came to the city. A few moments later after we finished our second round of pizza he came to our outside table and gave us more pizza and shared a few stories. The pizza is fantastic but Greg really makes that place shine. Thank you Greg.

This place had the BEST pizza my wife and I have ever had. Greg was very kind to us and even gave us recommendations for other things to do in the city!

Greg was very welcoming and interesting to talk to! Great spot for a great pizza, nice location for people watching and relaxing whilst getting to know the neighbourhood.

Bleecker St Pizza is hands down one of the best pizza spots in Manhattan! The pizza itself was exceptional – every bite had that perfect balance of crispy crust, rich sauce, and quality toppings that truly set it apart. What made our experience even more memorable was meeting Greg, the owner, who welcomed us with warmth and genuine pride in his family’s craft. He shared the story of his recipe, passed down through generations, which adds such a special touch to every slice. Greg’s kindness and passion for his pizza make Bleecker St Pizza a must-visit. Can’t wait to return!

Verry goood service och good Pizza! Verry nice to talk with Greg! See yousoon again!! // Christian &Lena From Sweden ………………………………………………….

A short break in the walk gave us the opportunity to taste the rich pizza that has tradition, but that we did not know it. Family corner place with tables outside and many combinations. The surroundings quiet with good atmosphere.

One of the best pizza we tried in NYC. We tried Nonna Maria pizza and it was delicious. We were chatting with Greg who made us feel very welcome. I would definitely would recommed to try it out!

A return visit to the Village meant a return to Bleecker Street Pizza and their delicious Nonna Maria slice. This time it also meant a friendly and meaningful talk with its longtime owner, Greg. Go on a Friday and you can experience both!

Nona Maria was the best New York Pizza we've ever had! Met Greg the proud owner and what an interesting guy to talk to. Highly recommend as a place to go for pizza.

Amazing pizza, the best in NYC. We met Greg, such a kind and gentle man! Thanks Greg for your welcome and for the hard work!

Greg was amazing helped us decided what pizza to get and was very friendly. He came to us after to see if we enjoyed the pizza it made the experience very enjoyable. Pizza is amazing and we will come again! The pizza is fresh and delicious service is quick.

Traveling to NYC from SF so I’m on a trip to try out different spots. This place is such a win. Good pizza, no BS, affordable price point. Beats a lot of the more expensive places we went. Greg is a cool dude.

Great pizza! This was our first meal in New York. Would definitely recommend it. Greg was awesome. Enjoyed the food and hospitality!

When you are down walking around Bleecker street we were told we had to stop in and try some Nona's Pie. Man it was a delight to have some authentic NYC style pizza. It such a cool vibe, the restaurant has an iconic sign outside you can't miss it. I had a classic slice of Pepperoni and it was superb. The crust was neopolitan, light and flaky, and the pie was done just right. I would say this is as authentic as any NYC pizza spot - we ended up making the drive over the bridge to compare to some Brooklyn style pizza - this was definitely a winner.

We stopped by Bleecker Street Pizza on a Friday walk through West Village and Greenwich Village. We had seen some very good ratings for this spot and chose to have a plain cheese slice to test the waters. It was awesome! The best part of our visit was meeting Greg Bleecker as we sat at the outdoor dining. What a fantastic ambassador for this establishment and such a knowledgeable pizza mogul! A gem of a guy too. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and the opportunity to meet Greg. The pizza was outstanding!!

Good pizza, not very clean or nice environment but served well us hungry people. Somehow I expected little more, but food was good and that is the main thing

We found Bleecker Street Pizza by accident. Pizza was so good that we had to come back even though our trip to NY was really short. We met Greg, he was so nice and he made some time to chat about history of the place and about our country as well. Overall great experience!

From the moment we stepped into Bleecker Street Pizza, we were met not just with the aroma of fresh, bubbling pizza but with the kind of warmth you only find in a true neighborhood gem. Greg, one of the friendliest and most genuine people you’ll ever meet, welcomed us like family — the kind of hospitality that turns a great meal into a memorable experience. Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the Nonna Maria slice. This isn't just a slice of pizza — it's a masterpiece. The crust is absolutely outstanding: crisp on the outside with a perfect chew that holds its structure from first bite to last. No soggy middle, no overly thick edges — just balance and brilliance. You can tell it's crafted with care and tradition. The sauce is rich and vibrant, with a depth of flavor that hints at slow-simmered tomatoes and just the right amount of herbs. It’s the kind of sauce that tastes like it’s been passed down through generations — fresh, tangy, and slightly sweet. Then there’s the mozzarella: creamy, perfectly melted, and generously layered. Topped with fresh basil and a light dusting of Parmesan, every element complements the next in true harmony. Eating the Nonna Maria slice is like getting a hug from the heart of New York pizza culture. It’s no wonder this place has a cult following. Between the phenomenal food and Greg’s incredible hospitality, Bleecker Street Pizza delivers not just some of the best pizza in the city — it delivers a feeling of home. If you're lucky enough to be greeted by Greg, you’ll know you’ve found a spot that’s about more than just great food. It’s about people, passion, and pizza made the way it should be. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) A must-visit. Don’t leave NYC without trying the Nonna Maria slice — and make sure to say hi to Greg!

You have to visit this place and have the famous Nonna Maria pizza !!!! We had quite a lot of pizza during our stay - including one at another rather famous pizza place - but this was easily by far the tastiest and best ! I can see exactly why it is so popular.

The pizza is absolutely amazing and Greg is the best! He sat and talked with us about his family, the business, and asked what we had planned for our trip. This was my 2nd visit. We came last year in Nov. Now Bleecker St is absolutely a must for me when I’m in NYC! I wish there was a way to have it in Oklahoma ☺️

Fantastic pizza lovely staff. Chatted with the owner Greg who told us about the history and the Nonna Maria. Well worth the trip over to the village.

Excellent spot to enjoy a delicious pizza! The quality of the ingredients and service were top-notch. The variety of options on the menu is impressive, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a perfect place to go out with friends or family. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food delivery was quick. Highly recommend for any pizza lover ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Upon arriving at Bleecker St Pizza, we were greeted by Greg, a native New Yorker who recommended the Nonna Maria pizza, which had been voted by TripAdvisor as the second best pizza in the country. Greg didn’t steer us wrong; it was absolutely wonderful. My wife is from Illinois and had thought the only pizza she would ever like was Chicago-style deep dish. She has now converted to become an honorary New Yorker.

Was recommended this place from a YouTube video as one of the best pizza spots in NYC. We made the 40 minute walk from Hudson Yards via the High Line so by the time we got there, we were ready for some pizza! We decided to share a Nonna Maria full pie between the 4 of us and it really didnt disappoint. It was delicious & is definitely one of the best pizzas i've ever had. The staff were really friendly and there was loads of seating both indoors and outdoors to sit and enjoy it. Will definitely be back when we're in NYC again.

Best NYC pizza spot! And Greg is the best. Told us about the history of the restaurant and created a wonderful experience for us. We need this spot in California!

Best pizza in New York, by far! We were lucky enough to also enjoy a lovely conversation with Greg! Enjoy your time with your grandkids!!! Vamos Bleecker Street Pizza! Cheers from Buenos Aires, Argentina!

This was rated the best pizza in NYC, so we tried it. We have been to NYC several times and we prefer Ray’s Pizza and Little Italy’s pizza over this one. Good pizza but we wouldn’t return there.

Have to relate this story as I’m from Chicago and come here whenever I visit . My favorite pizza is the spinach and ricotta cheese. Alas ! This pizza was not made when I was there on Monday , Memorial Day. Would you believe when I told the owner my story , he was going to make me a slice of this pizza not on the menu for the day. I wasn’t hungry at the time and refused , but the offer was genuine and beyond nice ! Hurray for Bleeker Street Pizza in NYC.

Incredible New York pizza. Right when we arrived we were approached by Gregg who helped us decide which pizza slices to choose and he made us feel welcome right away. The Nona Marie slice was our absolute favourite. We will definitely come back.

Great selection of pizza either by the slice or whole pie. The Nonna Maria was recommended and did not disappoint. Love that crispy thin crust! Absolutely delicious!

Excellent 👌🏼 vibe, taste, service, people watching, price, you can’t go wrong!! Well worth a visit to West Village and this is a great place to sit outside & take it all in ❤️

Come to Italy to try the real Neapolitan or Roman square trust other than pizza with pineapple you will not regret it Italy is a nice place and you eat well trust me, Italians make yourself heard in the comments alive Italy🇮🇹🍕🍝

The nona slice!! I'm from here and there are so many places for good pizza but despite the abundance of tourists here....DAMN ITS GOOD!

First time in NYC and we had to get a slice of pizza! We found Bleeker St. Pizza and are so glad we made the special trip for it! We had the Nonna Maria and it was delicious, but you cannot go wrong with any slice you choose. The sauce is their own family recipe and the quality is evident. Greg greeted us and was a delight to talk to! He told us about the restaurant, the area, and gave us some great recommendations when deciding on what to get! He also took the time to give us some great recommendations for our time in NYC and we can’t wait to try those as well! Give Bleeker St Pizza a try, you won’t regret it! And hopefully you run into Greg!

We ended up here when looking for “John’s of Bleeker street” and mistakingly thinking this was the correct place… While waiting in line, we thought the prices were very reasonable and all the celebrity pictures on the wall just made us think we were in the correct establishment.. The man serving behind the counter wasn’t the most friendliest but between us, we chose an array of slices - vodka pizza, cheese and some square slices. We found somewhere to sit down and at this point I was starving and couldn’t wait to tuck in…the flavours of the toppings, the crust - everything about these pizzas were devine. I would say I preferred the thin slices over the thicker ones but that was just down to preference. It was only when I sent photos to my brother in the UK that we realised we were in the wrong place but I am so glad we were because neither of us were impressed with John’s of Bleeker Street - where we walked to immediately after eating and realising our mistake…. I would highly recommend eating here - just don’t expect friendly service.

Went to this place with family and we had the Nonna Maria Pizza. It was so natural tasting. We are Italian, have been to Italy recently and know good pizza. As we raved about the pizza, we looked up and saw Greg who introduced himself. He was delighted to see how much we were enjoying this pizza, He said it was his Grandmother's recipe, home made marinara sauce and fresh basil and mozzarella. We actually chose this over traditional pizza due to the home made looking appearance. We were very content and delighted to meet Greg too.

Amazing Pizza, American-Italian Style with fresh Ingredients and Crunchy Dough.Better than Neapolitan Pizza.Very nice

We came back to Bleeker Street Pizza as we loved it last time we came to NYC. We weren’t disappointed! We had the Nonna and a Cheese Slice, both were gorgeous. We also had the pleasure of meeting Greg. Thank you for making our visit extra special, it was a real pleasure talking to you.

Don't know where to even start. For sure the best slice of pizza we've had in our lives. We had the Chicken Bacon Ranch and of course their famous Nonna Maria. Both were excellent. Also we spoke to a really nice guy called Greg! He was so nice and welcoming!

We had this recommended to us and it was just yummy and well worth the walk. Greg who we chatted to is an absolute Gem. Thank you guys from the NZ ladies

Very delicious pizza that was obvious from the first bite. Given its status and the area it is in, the price is understandably high for a slice (or in my case 4, as I was with my wife). There was a moment where grease trickled down my fingers and fortunately onto the table, rather than my shorts. However, this didn't take away from the taste of each slice and only seemed to be an issue with one of my pepperoni slices. Very nice, expensive, 50% greasy, envious of those who had full pizzas.

We recently visited New York and really wanted to go and have a traditional pizza. We had just been to see the friends building and what did we find, this amazing little restaurant just around the corner. From the moment we stepped into the place we were greeted by a friendly guy called 'Greg' who couldn't have been more helpful. I have a gluten intolerance and he straight away put my mind at ease to what my options were, which there were many and he really took his time to make us feel welcome and tell us everything we needed to know. The pizza itself was excellent and my son said, its the best he has ever tasted. Would highly recommend.

Of course, if you are looking to make a quiet meal, forget, the noise level is too high. Pizzas are very tasty and you can take part or get started in a whole 32cm in diameter. We order at the counter and we can sit in the room. Drinks are at decent Awards. As for pizzas, the Value for Award is excellent.

Had this on my must do list and was not disappointed it was best Pizza slice we had all Holiday and have ever had. We both had Peperoni sat in before carrying on our day.

Truly the best pizza in NYC! Legendary sauce by Nonna Maria, crispy on the bottom with soft, airy dough in the center 🥹 We were lucky enough to meet the owner himself, who added the perfect personal touch to the whole experience. Thank you for an amazing experience! Greetings from Bratislava, Slovakia 🇸🇰

Great pizza Nonna Maria margarita recomended vi a very nice guy called Greg. Gave us exellent service. Best pizza we have had in New York.

You cannot beat Bleecker Street for an incredible slice of pizza. Skip the overhyped spots like Joe’s and come get more for your money here. The classic slice is incredible, but the vodka is equally worth a try. Greg is a sweetheart, as are all the other staff. Thanks for the brilliant pizza and warm service!

We stumbled on Bleecker Street Pizza by accident when another restaurant nearby had a large line. I'm glad we did as it was excellent, friendly staff and amazing pizzas! Excellent value for money. There aren't a huge amount of seats but we were fortunate to get one. While eating our pizza it became clear that the place is very popular as the stream of people coming in was constant, but the great service meant that everyone was getting served quickly. Highly recommend

First trip to NYC and my husband knew he wanted Bleecker Street Pizza. It did not disappoint. We tried 3 different slices. The cheese was my absolute favorite but all were delicious. Greg, the owner pegged us as tourists right away but could not have been more welcoming. We enjoyed a nice chat while we waited for our slices. When we make it back to NYC, we will definitely make it a point to visit Bleecker St!

WOW! This pizza is outstanding. We ate an early dinner before a Broadway show. Followed by singing at Marie's Crisis Cafe'. By 1:00 am we were famished. Bleeker Street Pizza was a welcome retreat. Every bite tasted like paradise. The staff recommended the Nonna Maria slice. It was blew our mind! We ordered a second piece of the Nonna Maria instead of opting for an different flavor. Pizza by the slice until the wee hours of the morning with friendly staff.

We met at Bleecker Street Pizza for lunch last Saturday and it was scrumptious 🍕🍕 Everyone got exactly what they wanted for toppings and drinks. There is nothing better than sitting with your family enjoying New York pizza!!

Stopped in here after a tour to grab a slice. Was ok in comparison on par with other pizza I had in NYC. Nothing special. Staff were a bit grumpy.

Bleeker Street Pizza, best pizza in New York! Grab a piece of the famous Nonna Maria Pizza. And stop by to see Greg, he is awesome!

Love Bleecker Street Pizza Fresh and unique pizza, crisp pie bottoms and garlic knots. There are plenty of seats too. But this time we saw a cockroach in the store and we had to take the pizza out for dinner. Hopefully the hygiene will improve so we can keep coming.

Bleecker Street Pizza is definitely a 10/10! The pizza was fresh and delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Greg made sure our experience was top notch, making us feel like family before we left. We will certainly eat here everytime we are in NYC! The Crews Family Geneva, AL

This is my favourite spot every time I visit, this is where I bring all my friends . I echo the other reviewers I think it is a must try for anyone visiting

What amazing pizza! The best we have ever had (and we've been to Italy!) The base is light and crunchy, we tried the Nonna....delicious! Had a lovely chat with Greg and the story of his bravery and kindness of his brother added to the experience. Thanks for the directions too Greg!

Being a famous pizzeria, I had to stop there. The place is quite simple, not necessarily welcoming, but the pizza is good. Perfect for eating on the go.

I had the Nonna Maria. The sauce is incredibly flavorful. And the crust is this magical combo of crunchy, but still tender. And Greg took the time to answer my questions. He is incredibly friendly. I will keep going back. Delicious pizza, under $10 bucks.

The pizza was extra delicious, with cheese oozing out of your hands in the best way possible. It was a truly memorable visit. Located on Bleecker Street, the atmosphere felt like a real American pizza place—lively, authentic, and full of character.

BEST PIZZA IN NYC!! We read about this place before we came to NYC and just had to visit. We had 2 slices of the Cheese pizza and it was incredible. Highly highly recommend! If your visiting NYC you totally need to check out this place! We met the owner, Greg, what a legend! Thanks for the postcard Greg!

We found Bleecker Street Pizza after reviewing one of Jon Barr's YouTube videos with food recommendations so we had to visit! We had the Nonna Maria Pizza and Garlic Knots and they did not disappoint. Whilst we were there we met Greg who was chatting away to us and made us feel so welcome! Highly recommend a visit - you won't be disappointed!

Great pizza, quick service, and Greg was great to chat with. I always appreciate when owners/managers take an active interest in their customers. We went at lunch time on a Friday, but didn’t find it too busy. Lovely weather and sat outside. Perfect way to start our weekend away. Only tried one other pizza spot, which was also good, but this one was definitely a step above. Got a slice of Mama Maria and mushroom. Toppings are loaded when you look in the case. Crust was crisp and thin with great flavor. Sauce wasn’t sweet, like I find oftentimes where I live (and don’t car for). Would definitely go again. We are our way around the city, with little bites from a bunch of places. Still the standout.

If you’re in New York City, you have to stop by Bleecker Street Pizza! Greg, the previous owner, instantly made us feel like part of the family with his welcoming demeanor. He not only provided excellent menu recommendations but also shared some great tips on things to do around the city. The staff was so helpful and kind, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. We tried a half Nonna Maria and half pepperoni, and it was nothing short of perfection. The crust was crispy and tender, with a rich, sweet-savory sauce, topped with soft mozzarella and fresh basil. This pizza was so outstanding that it raised the bar for all the others we sampled during our trip. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to NYC, just to have this pizza again!

Bleeker Street Pizza was on our list to visit whilst in NY after seeing it recommended on You Tube! It did not disappoint! We ordered a slice and sat in to eat. Great pizza with a light crunchy base, and delicious toppings. While we sat there Greg came over and introduced himself, he’s the owner. What a wonderful man! We chatted for a good 2O-30 mins about all sorts and learned about Greg and how he became the owner. He made us very welcome and congratulated us on our milestone birthdays! They have a great team of staff, very friendly an impressive wall of fame to admire … he even had a Taylor Swift story to impart, which impressed our daughter! All in all a big thumbs up from us, and a MUST if you’re in the area.

We had seen consistent reviews saying this was one of the best pizza places. I had a slice of the chicken with pepperoni which was then placed in the oven to be reheated. The slice was fine, it wasn’t anything special, but it was overdone. The chicken was hard, dry, and the dough was crunchy. For us, it was not the best pizza but possibly just an off day. I think perhaps they forgot about ours. It had been in the oven a good 7 or 8 minutes. We’d try again on the assumption we just got a bad slice. Thanks

Greg, the owner, was so nice and talked to us about the Nona Maria pizza. Nona was his grandma and this pizza is amazing! The tomato sauce is so fresh and is like eating from your garden! Perfect balance of sauce and fresh basil. Definitely a must stop and try!

Best pizza we have had in New York. Greg was very welcoming to us both and lovely to talk to. I'm glad we took the time to visit. Highly recommend it.
Tasty pizzas
Been here many times , friendly staff and locals Reasonably priced very tasty pizzas , love the village. Lots of great bars near too
