Oxtail delight

By burntmanbunjorge |

Just finished dinner at Blue Collar had great experiences eating a favorite dishes Oxtail. Started sharing conch fritters which were excellent served with a delicious spicy sauce. One of tonight's specials from the menu section the Dailies was the Oxtail,a dish I was a custom to eating growing VIP in a Cuban home. It's was served with mashed potatoes and a slice of bread. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The oxtail was a delight to eat,the meat fell off the bones and seasoned just right the home made mashed potatoes were heavenly and the thick bread slice tasted as good as it looked nicely toasted. Everything was delicious and I was so involved in eating my meal I didn't even realize anything wrong with the service or that the floor had food on it. This was brought to my attention by my dinner companion who also thought his food was excellent but thought the servers should have been more attentive. Again I was so involved enjoying my meal I think nether server didn't need to interrupt my total enjoyment by asking if everything was alright. I made that obvious while enjoying my meal so much and by leaving my bones completely clean. Highly recommend Blue Collar even if the decor is simple and functional serve me such a good plate of food and I get so involved in eating it and totally enjoying my meal. Everything else seems to disappear.

Really good experience

By Gonzalo S |

The servers were very nice and attentive, the food was very tasty, and above all the manager Adam went out of his way to make sure that my wife and I were pleased with what we ordered and received.

Great place for lunch

By Jdavis5548 |

Small restaurant, located in one of the old motels in Mimo but worth the visit. The rage sand which was enough for two days. My companion had fish and as she has dietary restrictions they did a great job in fixing it to her needs. I highly recommend this restaurant for an easy but good lunch.

Great!!!

If you’re looking for some satisfying seafood this is a must try awesome food be sure to try the Shrimp and Grits!!!! #Definitely will be going back!!!!

Trust your server!

By ApNp8 |

Had a big family dinner at this place a few weeks ago and really enjoyed the vibe, very much a hole in the wall feel with simply outstanding grub. I had a hard time deciding given that quite literally everything on the menu looked amazing, asked my server and glad i did, don't sleep on the snapper! Can't wait to come back and try more dishes

Is this a vegeterian restaurang or?

By J0rgen |

Went there for the ox tail but was surprised that it was 80% vegetarian on the meny. So my better half didn't have much to choose between. The ox tail was superb!! It's a small place and above average from a price level. Would probably select an other restaurang if it wasn't for the ox tail.

Friendly local eatery

By FlaGolfer55 |

Had the opportunity to celebrate a belated Father's Day with my daughter here. Visually, the site may not impress, but the food is awesome and the staff very friendly and efficient. The highlight - my daughter met me there and arrived first. The staff noticed she was carrying a gift bag and so prepared a slice of key lime pie with a candle assuming, correctly, she was meeting me there to celebrate something. Who else does that? Kudos to you Blue Collar.

Soooo good!

By Marilyn C |

I've been wanting to come here for quite some time and now with Miami Spice going on I decided to finally try it. Wow, was def worth the wait! Everything we had was amazing and we cant wait to go back! BTW, if you like scallops, order them! Best scallops I've ever had!

superb food in a bland space

By Coconuts T |

if you aren't looking carefully for this restaurant, you will drive right by it. Tiny, bland space connected to a defunct wreck of a motel. The food is excellent, especially the veggies. Our table had steak, fish and scallops, all done perfectly and nicely presented. Decent beer and wine list. good portions, reasonable prices except for coffee, swift knowledgeable servers. Try the key lime pie. One of the best you will ever have.

Delicious!

By Susanbunny_8 |

Crazy good food in a casual atmosphere. Don't let the currently-being-renovated hotel setting scare you off. Great choices - we ordered way too much. Sides are a standout!

Excellent Lunch

By 3902244 |

The Blue Collar consistently offers great food. This was our second trip, and we enjoyed it again. It isn't just the great quality of food, it is the fantastic variety of dishes as well. This time we shared 2 appetizers - Conch Fritters with a Spicy Tartar Sauce, and The Fried Smoked Gouda with Honey Mustard - they were both outstanding, the fritters were light and fluffy, plus you could actually taste the conch, and not just filler, as many restaurants prepare it. The Smoked Gouda was also a burst of flavor, and fried as well. I enjoyed the Cobb Salad with Grilled Chicken tossed with Ranch Dressing. It was delicious. The chicken arrived warm and charred atop the Ranch tossed salad. Hard boiled egg, bacon, blue cheese, tomato, and piquillo peppers were place around the salad. My partner had the Ribs of the Day - Spare Ribs with a great sauce. The Ribs were tender and cooked perfectly. They have an outstanding variety of Vegetables (Veg Chalkboard). We shared the Roasted Artichoke Hearts with a Lemon Aioli. Just plain wonderful! Everything was delicious! They serve Brunch, Lunch and Dinner.

Average

By Jose C |

Took my wife to this restaurant so she could try the oxtail she had seen great reviews about. Overall it was good but not good enough to go back a second time. We also had the fried gouda, which was good. Mainly because of the honey mustard dressing which was excellent. The vaca frita tostones were in the dry side for sure and the shrimp and grits were good but again, not memorable. Overall a nice place but I would pick other spots if in the area again.

Nice restaurant

By Seb |

Nice restaurant, nice waitress and nice food ! Nothing complicated but perfect. Thank you for the food !

Family lunch

By JIJR |

First time there with our son in law who goes often. Great service and quality and creative selections. Braised brisket, salmon, fries and homemade applesauce were all delicious.

Good food, especially given the location

By Brian V |

Had an excellent meal. Had a great waiter. Was pleasantly surprise, given the location, being next to a closed hotel. Would highly recommend it

Dangerous if you have allergies. Be awere! Allergies are not taken seriously! Putting your health in danger!

By Kika |

I've been a loyal customer for years, recommended by friends, but my last visit was shocking and dangerous. My usual server wasn't available, and another server attended to my husband and me. Despite me repeating multiple times my serious allergies, server failed to inform the kitchen. I trusted this restaurant with my health— especially after recent surgeries-and ended up in the ER after eating food that should have been safe. Manager at the moment apologized and covered the bill, and the owner promised compensation-but then ghosted me completely. If you have health issues or allergies, avoid this place at all costs. Employees negligence and the complete failure of management and ownership could have had fatal consequences.

Disappointed

By FlashBack351 |

Gotta go with a 3 Star because as much as I'd love to give Blue Collar a 5 I just can't do it when the Big Ragout Sandwich comes out to you with melted cheese on it but the sandwich is refrigerator cold. You gotta wonder why I'd go as high as a 3 then....the taste was still delicious that's why. The waitress didn't seem to care and one of the other guys heated it up a bit for us actually...After flying down from Iowa and then a four hour drive to get there i was a bit disappointed.

Great Dinner Out in MiMo

By MarciaMagenta |

This tasty joint is getting ready to celebrate its fifth anniversary soon. It's a small spot but don't let its size fool you. Open kitchen concept with an incredible selection of fresh veggies that's to die for! Every meal I've eaten (latest visit was their Grilled Rainbow Trout and Brussels sprouts and mushrooms) seems better than the last. Desserts made in house and are divine. Bread pudding isn't my favorite but we ordered it for the table last weekend and it was superb!

Favorite place in Miami

By Martin V |

Now that David's Cafe Cafecito has closed this is the only remaining food place in Miami that we really like. The food is amazing - corn bread !! - and the service, too. Just a nice chilled place away from the money grabbing hysteria in South Beach.

One of my favorites places in town

By BlueBsAs |

Always good, always a nice place to take friends from out of town, we opted for some veggie plates, the chicken Parmesan with angel hair, another chicken plate and bread pudding for dessert for me the best in town. The chocolate cake was not as good as we expected

Miami Spice Dinner

By WillIGoBack |

First time eating dinner at Blue Collar. ( it is one of our favorite brunch spots ). Enjoyed the less hectic ambiance at dinner and the Spice menu options are quite good. Food is exceptional as always, service is good not always as attentive. Mac n Cheese needs some work but other than that all good was very good and generous portions. Chocolate cake for dessert is impressive with a side of milk but it is a little dry. Check bill with menu prices some of the prices varied from the menu. Will I Go Back? Yes. This is more of a I don't want to cook tonight so let's grab some dinner than a Miami dining experience but it is local, homey and the food is quite good!

DDD’s - Guy Was Spot On!

By Mike M |

We found out about this place on an episode of Diners Drive In’s and Dives and the food rocked! The Gouda cheese appetizer was amazing and was only topped by the conch fritter sandwich. Great friendly staff, excellent service makes this place a home run!!

Dinner for 9

By Angela C |

Service was excellent, and the restaurant catered for my celiac needs. Plates were clean after each dish...absolutely delicious! The curried cauliflower was my fave, and the other guests loved the cuban spring rolls and the key lime pie.

This place is a meat lovers paradise

By Joel L |

Ate here a few days ago and absolutely loved the ribs. Fries are homemade and delicious. Do not come here is you are looking for a vegetarian meal. It is a meat lover’s paradise. Nice to be able to eat on the patio if you do not mind the noise of loud motorcycles and gear head hot car drivers. The serving staff is friendly and accommodating. This is a real “comfort food” restaurant. Go there and enjoy!

Amazing! Braised, Parm and Big Ragout are simply superb!

By SteelyDanMiami |

I went here after watching this on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and boy was I happy I did. I've been here only 3 times so far but each time, I had such an excellent meal, I'm coming back again to try more - everything was just amazing - the spicy oxtail for the braised, the chicken parm that was just so delicious, I couldn't believe it and the big rag out sandwich was maybe the best sandwich I've had. So looking forward to going back.

Still a Great Place to Eat

By Stan S |

It had been about a year since my last visit. This restaurant came through again with an outstanding brisket sandwich. They call it the Corben and they serve it on twin Portuguese muffins. Brisket was incredibly tender, served with au jus. Service continues to be efficient and friendly. Great food. Good value.

Great homemade food. Great price. Great atmosphere.

By Andre H |

By homemade Food, I meant that it felt that Blue Collar used fresh ingredients and made the Food in-house. I did not get the feeling of any processed Food being used. The service was good as well and the clientelle gave a good atmosphere. People were out to eat good, healthy Food and have a few drinks as well. We were a table of eight and they managed to get Our order correct and With a smile. Our Family shared a lot of Food. We had a plate of the fresh vegetables, where you could choose from a variety which was listed on a Board. The vegetables were prepared in different, exciting ways. We also had a brisket, which was absolutely amazing. Meat fell off the bone. Probably the best I have tasted. only negative I have and which led to 4 instead of 5 starts was the Furniture was not comfortable. We were 4 on one side on a booth and it felt like it was loose and falling apart and it bumped around all the time which was annoying. The restaurant is well Worth a visit and is a little of the beaten path. I reccommend it. PS. one of Our kids have Celiacs, and they were able to cater to this successfully.

Really Hidden Gem

By Smidgie01 |

With a reservation, arrived too early, and waited1 hr. Very crowded, tiny table space and restaurant.Appears very popular from locals, foodies, and word of mouth patrons. Food variety was really varied, and 6 of us had several different dishes, including one of the daily specials. Very varied veggie menue from which 2 items with some dinners are really a plus. Vegitarians can easily pick from 4-5 or more items and be really satisfied. Do notprovide bread, or salads with meals. Do have soups, and salads a la carte and additional cost for veggie sides, if not with dinner ordered. Food was excellent. Wine was really hi priced $50 average; $14/per glass but good. Although you might say this restaurant is med priced, the prices were med-high. Service: great, and staff overall, stellar. Very TINY!! Do not attempt dinner without reservations and then be prepared to wait - weekend for sure.

Hole in wall with a bad attitude should of kept driving

By wasrco |

Place was smoky , hot and the service was sub-par. Food was just ok . Burger came out very rare like carpaccio style. They had a great corn bread. Prices expensive for a lunch. There is a chubby bearded guy with a bad attitude like your scared to ask him anything. Place use to be good.

Wow! Unexpected great dining experience

By Robert R |

I had booked a reservation to this place to take my wife for dinner. As I approached in my car, I literally saw "a lady of the night" cross the street in front of me. Now, I had heard that this restaurant was in a seedy part of town and actually right next to a hotel that rents by the hour, but I thought it was all BS as I read the story of it's executive chef and fanfare dining that was out of this world. Believe it or not, I cancelled my reservation and ended up somewhere else that night to eat. This Father's day weekend my oldest daughter and her boyfriend came into town. We were going to hit the beach in the morning but we got rained out and stayed in the apartment watching a flick. Lunch time came around and I decided to give Blue Collar another shot. And what a shot it turned out to be. My interest in the place was because it made the New Times beat burgers list...I was not disappointed. But what struck me further was the variety of dishes. My daughter had the "Mac" and it did not disappoint. Her boyfriend and I did the burger and it was awesome...and simple. The fries are home cut. We sat at the counter and could see the care and effort placed into every dish as the kitchen is right there for everyone to see. Great IPA selections and just a generally nice vibe. I'll be going back with the excuse of taking my wife, but it's really because I want to go and try some of the other stuff. The prices are reasonable and you get much more than what you are paying for. Another Miami gem found for me...and I'm a native!

Great Dinner!

By claire s |

Just happened upon this tiny place before meeting up with friends. Parked across the street, arrived without reservation, but just happened to take last table! My husband chose the scallops, which were perfectly seared on outside and moist inside. My shrimp and grits with side of asparagus was great as well...odd spin on the"gravy" on the shrimp, but very nice, Would definitely recommend!!

Keep on driving to another place

By Cat30 |

We went for lunch on a Saturday and were very disappointed in the service and the food. We sat waiting for a long time after we were seated and by the time the waiter showed up we were ready to order our food. The food took a long time to come out and wasn’t worth the wait. I had shared a brunch plate with my son. I requested the bacon crisp and received bacon that wasn’t cooked in pieces. The potoates were overly seasoned with pepper. The French toast was coated in egg on the surface of the bread only. The inside of the bread was as dry as toast. I had a can of soda and I wasn’t asked if I wanted another soda. I requested the check three times before we were finally presented with the check. It was a really bad dining experience and I would never go back!

Disappointed

By Lissette G |

Food not that great! It is just ok. Service ? The only waitress can be rude! Overall i would not come back not recommended it! I would go across the street instead to Phuc Yeah

favorite spot

By Celeste M |

I usually get their steak! It's decently priced and very satisfying especially when I don't feel like going to a super fancy restaurant just for a fix. All their sides are tasty. I crave their Valrhona Chocolate cake! The fact that they do ubereats now makes my world complete.

Great find!

By Jeffrey F |

Apparently this is well-regarded in the Miami area, but we stumbled upon it without a reservation simply because it was near our hotel, and we were lucky enough to get the last table for two. Are we glad we did! After seeing the wide array of delicious-looking vegetable sides, we decided we had to try as many as possible, so my wife had the vegetable platter - every one was flavorful and delicious, and it was satisfying enough not to need any protein accompaniment. I had the jambalaya, and while I don't know enough to be able to speak to its "authenticity" it was the best I have ever had - not only were the flavors rich and varied, the jasmine rice gave it a terrific "mouth feel." A real find for us, and a delicious meal!

Lunch

By melodym1976 |

So I would love to give this place more stars. I thought the food was pretty good. I was not so impressed with the service. We ordered our food and didn’t get it until about an hour later. The waiter never came by to say anything. He finally came around to us and said he didn’t know what happened but the food would be out shortly. To make matters worse, we had a mishap with the bill. The waiter brought us the correct bill but somehow rang us up under someone else’s bill. The other bill was for a lot more money which is how we noticed it. I am not even sure how this happened.

Amazing service & food

By Eva R |

I seriously can say that the meals are good and the customer service is awesome. Pork belly benedict was delightful but baby back rib was common. Had a good time! I would certainly come back here.

Wow, just wow.

By Robert C |

Wow, just wow. Absolutely amazing food and super surprising amazing wines. The veggie board is an amazing feature here. The best key lime pie we have ever had. Just so amazing!!!!

Best Mac and Cheese ever

By sailorgirl09 |

Last night in Miami . After reading other reviews decided to give it a try . Made reservations which was important as they were full by 7 pm on a Monday , outside seating was all that was available. We ordered the homemade mac and cheese and added bacon and shrimp . The dish was flavorful and creamy , bacon was good size and shrimp were fresh and crisp. Our veggie option choice was the fresh artichokes with lemon aioli, simply sublime . We also had the duck confit quesadilla. Warm , soft and the duck was perfectly cooked . We were so full but the heathbar bread pudding with fresh whip cream was to die for not dry and warm so good .. coffee was served in a retro vacuum thermos . Cool experience, on point waitstaff and amazing food . If we lived here we would be regulars !

Exceptional service and food

By Angela F |

We highly recommend this restaurant. Shrimp and Grits were awesome. We had several dishes and all of them were great. Our favorites were the braised pork cheeks and the ragout. The service was beyond exceptional. The desserts are wonderful so don't miss out.

Updated review…food and service was amazing!

By SouthFloLifestyles |

Several months ago, I left what was a not so good review for this restaurant. After posting my review, I received an email from the owner who acknowledged my experience and heard from his staff what I had said in my review was true. I really appreciated him reaching out. That immediately told me the owner had integrity and cared about his establishment along with the customers that come through his door. He urged me to try his venue again and shared they had gotten unusually slammed for Easter Sunday brunch, and my experience was not typical for his venue. So I decided to go again for dinner this time and I have to say, I was very impressed with the food and the service (which was great the first time). We made a reservation and our table was available immediately. The waiter recommended some of the apps and entrees and sure enough, we ordered a few of our own choices as well as some of his recommendations. We started with the Shrimp & Grits appetizer and the Tostones Ropa Vieja Fritas (plaintains topped with shredded fried beef). Let's just say we cleaned the plates! It was absolutely delicious. My husband does not eat grits, but he sure ate the delicious creamy cheese grits on the plate! For entrees I ordered the Veal, Pork & Beef Ragout over Parpadelle Pasta, Steak and Fries for my son, and Crispy Skin Snapper with Fried Rice for the hubby. The food came out quickly and the portions were surprisingly large. My husband ate every morsel on his plate. My son, loved the steak and fries and as for my Veal, Pork and Beef Ragout over Parpadelle Pasta, I didn't want the flavor in my mouth to ever go away. It was that delicious. I was so happy the portion was so large because I already planned to have the remainder of it for dinner the next night. I actually ended up having it for breakfast. It was soooooooooooooooo good! For dessert we had the date pudding with ice cream and it was fantastic. Service was great. Taking in the ambiance of the venue, I saw families and couples enjoying their meals in a very comfortable environment. Plates came out quickly and all the staff was genuinely nice and attentive. I'll definitely be going back real soon!

Great Small Joint with Great Food

By David K |

This is a great authentic place. Almost diner looking in atmosphere but it's no breakfast stop. But the food is great. Lot's of option on the menu from fish, chicken, steak, BBQ etc. Large veggie board for sides. Apps are great too. Two cooks in the open kitchen and three folks running the restaurant who are low key great people with terrific service. A few beers, a small basic wine list, and no liquor. This was my second visit and I'd go back again when I'm traveling there.

Great food - good service

By Michael_Pedersen |

My wife and I had the best meal of our anniversary trip tonight at Blue Collar. The only problem was to decide what to order. Great beer selection as well

Worth it!

By Niko L |

We were looking for a "healthier" dinner and there you will definitely get it! The vegetables for example as sides tasted great and fresh; there is an open kitchen. Small space, but great cooks! Prices OK.

Loved it

By DavidBLasVegas |

This small restaurant doesn't look like much (it's attached to a closed rundown motel), but it's worth stopping for dinner!

Impromptu dining delight

By Amy L |

Called in Wednesday night it was packed 7 pm managed to get a table inside ...ribs were remarkable and mahi was amazing ...fast efficient friendly service ....

Unique

By blondissa |

Don't judge the place from the outside because it doesn't look like much. It is a small section of a motel on a busy highway and seats maybe 12 people but once your food arrives, you will be anxious to get back for another meal. If you love comfort food, then this is your place. We had Osso Bucco with mashed potatoes, which was delicious!! Also, their brunch burger. Can't wait to go back. Great service. Casual and relaxed.

Dinner

By Sderin51 |

It is very disappointing to see how bad the restaurant has gotten. The service was bad and the food was worse. They even added gratuity to the check without informing us. I would never go back there!

Perozzo’s night out

By ltwiggs2017 |

Great little place great comfort food with too die for vegetables Hamburger was generous and cooked to your taste. Lime Line pie was great. Chocolate cake needed ice cream

Good flavor.

By Almpt3 |

The food was ok. The ox tails were a little chewy, but the flavor was good. They give you a lot of food. Almost 2 or 3 people can share the food. My mother had the French toast and pancake. She loved the French toast but not the pancake. The server was nice.

Great little Diner

By Lance1950 |

We are from Kendallville, Indiana and are in Miami for a cruise. I looked up restaurants that where on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives , we chose Blue Collar. We had the Saturday Brunch. My wife had the Mac & Cheese & I had the Veggie Scramble with asparagus. WOW, both dishes were GREAT. Service was great. If you’re in Miami you must stop by this great little diner.

Outstanding

By BiminiSea |

Comfort food at it's finest. Have been visiting this place since it opened. Even though it's a drive for me; well worth the trip as the food and service are top notch. Highly recommend and will be back for more.

Can't Miss!

By aldura |

This place is phenomenal! Anyone who visits or lives near Miami MUST stop here. There were 4 of us and we shared 4 appetizers and entrees....each dish was unique and fantastic. I've tried hundreds of mac and cheese dishes over the years and this one is right up at the top 2 or 3 of the list. They don't cheat on the bacon in the dish either. I don't love fish usually but the Mahi Mahi was excellent and the burger was a mouthful of flavors. The apps were all great, the beer list was nice and varied and the service was impeccable. My first visit and I'll definitely be returning soon!

My Kind of Place

By pssunrisefl |

Blue Collar is a great example of chef-driven, modern American cuisine in an ultra-casual setting. The converted lodging office of an old deco-style motel, the place has about 20 seats inside. The open kitchen is where the magic happens. Great food selection, including daily rib/parmigiana/braise specials, an abundance of vegetable options and great small plate, sandwich, salad and entree selections. We had the cuban sandwich spring rolls, mac and cheese and shrimp and grits. Each item amazing, hard to pick a favorite. Homemade chocolate cake for dessert - simply perfect.

Unpretentious + inexpensive + unexpected = great experience

By Janedl88 |

Had a meet up with friends for a Saturday brunch - patio was full but inside had space, barely. Popular place. Pleasantly surprises you despite unassuming name. Loved the menu. Even had nice wines - great simple Spanish cava ! Good background music (today was 80´s flashback) while a little loud for conversation but we spoke up and managed. Very quick food delivery - large portions but not too large to turn you off. Good service: attentive but not pushy or trying to upsell you obnoxiously like so many others - you can eat healthy or not ! You come in very casual or laid back ! A nice surprise for Miami’s usual overdone fluff. Will go back !

amazing

By Paiton P |

food there was so great I asked for thirds and they should add shakes make sure to save room for desert

Flavors abound

By MJames88 |

So many great choices on the menu. The food is fresh and innovative with daily braised meat specials. I like the creativity of the chef at this small restaurant. It does not look like much upon first look, but it packs a surprise with its charm and food. Both indoor and outdoor seating with an open kitchen to see the action. Well worth a visit.

Yummy

By vague_1 |

Visited after seeing on Diners, Drive ins and Dives and I'm so glad I did. I made a reservation for 230 in the afternoon on a weekday. They were not busy so the reservation was not needed. The place is small so I imagine on weekends/ Dinner you would need a reservation. There were 2 of us and we both decided to order "the big ragout" our waiter advised against this due the portion size being very large. So we followed his advise and decided to share. There was definately more than enough for 2. The sandwich was delicious. A little bit more salty than needed to be but still great and the french fries were on point. Loved this restaurant and will visit again.

DINER BEWARE. VEHICLE BROKEN INTO DURING DINING

By Kamsamms |

This review is strictly for the parking at the establishment. The food and service were great. However, the parking was adjacent to the motel next door. There are no signs to remind patrons to hide valuables, secure the car whatsoever, and upon return to our vehicle someone burglarized and stole several bags of luggage, credit cards, and sentimental items. There needs to be a sign to warn patrons that the area is susceptible to theft and patrons need to be notified. The police told us there were several other break ins reported and that the area is a hotbed for car burglary.

Worth the Wait

By CaptainBud |

There was a 30 minute line to get a table at Blue Collar when we arrived Friday evening about 7:30 pm. Fortunately we waited. Ragout was delicious but bring a doggie bag because the portion is huge. Mahi was delicious and the sides are even better. We're going again soon.

had product delivered

By J8192UWdennisk |

food was more than tasty and portions were huge. old style product and a place we'll be using again!!

Best. Food. Ever!

By SJackson50 |

This restaurant has the most amazing food in Miami. Everyone can find something good here. The vegetable board has many options--even grits, lol. The food choices are delicious and the portion sizes are filling. Make sure you make a reservation, because this place fills up quickly! Not a bad alcohol selection. The only con is that the place is so small, that there really isn't time to sit and chat after eating, trust me...they need the room, and they want you out.

Great little restaurant

By Robert S |

We had a terrific brunch today at Blue Collar Imaginative upscale American Comfort food served in a 70s retro small dining room and outside patio formally a part of an old Miami motel.

Absolutely delicious!

By billychristofa |

As a veggie coming to America I have been mostly disappointed with the food here.... but not at Blue Collar! I had the Cauliflower curry dish with sauteed mushrooms and fried. All were DELICIOUS!!!!! Service was good, maybe slightly overpriced but we did get alcohol so maybe that's why.

Good brunch

By Yulia J |

This is small place but good food, you can enjoy great brunch. Go any Saturday and after that just walk across and seat at the beautiful park and enjoy.

Cute little place

By jbbrezzy |

Went close to their afternoon closing time but they were happy to serve us without rushing. Had read many great reviews but came out feeling our experience was only average. The themed decor and service items (coffee as served in a thermos) were adorable. The shrimp and grits were the best thing we ordered and deserve a 5 star rating. The cordon bleu sandwich was just ok. The ham was too salty for me. My husband got the beans and eggs which again was good but not great. Would we go again? Given the vast dining choices in Miami, we would pass.

Great new year eve dinner!

By Andre N |

We were looking for some comfort food after spending the previous evening on a disastrous $250 meal at a Miami Beach location. We sat outside and the atmosphere was just perfect with greenery and low lighting. I ordered the ox tail and my fiancé got a cheeseburger. Ox tail is one of my favorite dishes and this one did not disappoint. My fiancé said the hamburger was delicious as well. The staff were very friendly and we left with our bellies full and happy! We will be back.

Brunch!!

By AJCC1 |

The menu has so many options that I didn't know where to begin. This is a small place with great food. Brandon's breakfast is a must! It is large enough to share with someone or you will be asking to take part of it home. The service is good as well. The host was very sweet. Will definitely be back!

Excellent, creative food in casual, clean diner atmosphere.

By akumax1973 |

First and foremost the food here is amazing. Got the duck confit quesadillas, the channukah latkes, the fried gouda cheese and the daily special which was spare ribs. The spare ribs came with a side of choice and we got the sweet potatoes with jalapeno butter. The duck confit quesadillas were crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. The raspberry jelly that comes with it is the perfect compliment to the richness of the duck. The latkes were super crisp and perfectly salted. The fried gouda cheese had smoked qouda which added an extra layer of depth to the flavor and the sauce they came with was perfect for the dish. The ribs basically fell off the bone they were so tender. The sweet potato was the best I've ever had. Not sure how they cooked it but it had a nice char to the edge which added a great dichotomy of textures along with the tenderness of the inside. The jalapeno butter on top was amazing. Never had jalapeno butter before but if I ever see it again I'll be sure to get it. The service was top notch here as well. Some of the best I've had. The place is super clean but the dining room doesn't fit many so make sure to get reservations to play it safe. Place itself is in an old hotel that is being renovated (not open). The neighborhood is a bit sketchy but don't let that deter you. Like the signs say out in the parking lot, bring your valuables with you into the restaurant and they can store them for you. If you are in Miami, or plan on visiting, put this place on your list.

Always a great meal

By adrrmb |

Blue Collar serves consistently well prepared and delicious food with a simple diner quasi farm to table vibe and offers nightly specials. They have a decent wine/beer list and friendly atmosphere. Small and loud, but it doesn't really distract from the experience. Lots of veggie options, too. We love their Crispy Skin Snapper and The Big Ragout and their Jambalaya. A locals favorite. Good lunch and brunch, too.

Disappointment

By Naama M |

We came to Blue Collar excited to experience this highly acclaimed small neighbourhood joint by Chefs Daniel Serfer and Junior Pericles. Unfortunately, we were deeply disappointed with all aspects of this experience. We sat outside on the noisy street, because the small inside space was too crowded and noisy and we didn’t feel like sitting in the corner table one-foot shy of a loud party of twelve. The Duck Confit Quesadilla was the highlight of our entire meal; fresh and crispy with a generous portion of duck filling. The Conch Fritters were fresh but a bit bland and the green salad was too simple and plain. The Crispy Skin Snapper was tasteless, the Caramelized Brussels Sprouts were under cooked and tasteless and the famous House-Made French Fries were soggy. The Braised Brisket that came on a Portuguese Muffins was tasty. However more than half of it was pure fat. The mission of Blue Collar is to make us feel like we are one of their close friends. Well, as an avid cook of Brisket and host myself, I would NEVER serve my Brisket with so much fat to anyone, especially my close friends. And, the Latkes were soggy. To end the Key Lime pie was OK. The service in Blue Collar was generally pleasant. However, the timing of serving courses was completely off - our mains were served half way through our Nosh Appetizers, so we had to send it back in order to finish our first courses. A very basic and unacceptable service error. Overall, we found Blue Collar disappointing and nothing like the hype we read about. The food and service were far from exceptional, which is what Chefs Serfer and Pericles claim to strive for, in their website. We do not recommend this restaurant.

Old time diner with good food

By Josie053 |

This place is very well known in Miami for extensive menu of diner type eats. Includes all day breakfast , a great burger and brisket but also less popular but tasty items like oxtail . They also have a very large selection of vegetables for those choosing to skip the meat or chicken. My favorite on the menu is the Mac and cheese which is superb as well their Caesar salad with chicken is fab. Service is always pleasant and the daily Specials are worth a review The only down sides are the place is tiny and tables very close to each other and the smoke coming off the grill can be a bit much at times . Still a great place fir an authentic old time dive diner experience

Solid gluten free options

By Caitlyn E |

Solid gluten free options, the fries were bomb, the burger was tender and the big ragout sandwich was great!

Early Dinner on a Wednesday Evening

By Adrianna F |

Comfort food is an understatement. Share or take food for lunch the next day. Don't miss the Heath bar bread pudding. It is to die for.

Great place

This is a definitely recommended restaurant. Very good food great service reasonable price. Highly recommended

Southern comfort food for the family

By Naddia's Favorites |

This is not a fancy place but a more relaxed environment to enjoy some southern comfort food, it is small, only a few tables but the food is good, I would say great for a family dinner. We tried the Miami Spice menu, one good thing about the menu in this restaurant is that they let you choose the dishes from their main menu, so often we see restaurants offer Miami Spice menu with very boring dishes that don’t really reflect their everyday menu, so, good for you for allowing your customer to choose an appetizer, a main course, a dessert and, different from other places they even include a beer or a glass of wine all for $ 39 @bluecollarmiami For more of my favorite restaurants, places and more, like my Facebook page Naddia’s Favorites or follow me on Instagram @naddias_favorites

Lovely restaurant

By jas0719 |

My friends and I had a lovely meal here two days ago. Every staff member including the chef made us feel welcomed. Since we'd earlier eaten, we kept it light with a conch fritter appetizer. My family on my father's side is from the Bahamas and I say thumbs up. They got it right. I also loved the carmelized brussel sprouts! The water is filtered very well from a company called Vero. Seriously, it's the best water I have ever tasted. The chef sent over a slice chocolate cake and glass of milk "just because."All that was needed was a bed and sweet dreams. PS I especially love the old school red plaid thermos you get if you order coffee. How retro and cute. Goes with the lunch boxes on the wall. When I visit Miami again, I will definitely return to this restaurant!

Top 5 Casual in Miami

By nsequitur |

I use TA extensively in travels to Europe, where Yelp is not predominant, so when I checked my home town to see who made the cut, I was a little astounded/crestfallen: A Whole Foods Market at #11?! Olive Garden is #46?! Red Lobster at #51?! Aiiieee! So I have to set the record straight on what you should eat when you are in Miami, and I'll give citations, so follow along. Blue Collar is, as the name implies, casual food in large portions at great prices. The chef has also had success with "Mignonette" (a seafood-centric place near the performing arts center which is also great). If you are staying on the beach further south, this may be a bit of a hike for you, but if you are in the neighborhood this is definitely worth stopping for. For CASUAL eats, these are the champs: Blue Collar (reviewed here), Joe's Stone Crab (here for 100 years and serving the truest local dishes around); Pubbelly (destination-worthy gastro pub); La Camaronera (like Joe's, this is what Miami is all about); Yardbird (more expensive, but if you are a tourist looking for American cuisine, this is it) Some other sources I'd carefully consider: Yelp. "The Whet Palette": (local blogger's super-detailed and photo-rich roundup); "Eater Miami: Top 38" There are lots of other great places like Zuma, Makoto and Naoe that are delicious and ridiculously expensive, but you don't fly to France to eat a hamburger, so why would you come to Miami to eat sushi? Stick with the above and you'll do fine. See my reviews of Eating House, Byblos, Alter, Three, Stubborn Seed and the Bazaar for fine dining options.

Come hungry...

By DragonFlyer2014 |

We had heard about this place and had been meaning to try it for a while, we happened to be running an errand in Miami beach and decided to look it up, it was 10:45 am when we arrived and they don't open until 11:00; granted it was on a Saturday, we were surprised by the line of people waiting for the rests to open. Also surprised by the fact that September is supposed to be florida's slowest month for business. When they opened, the people waiting outside filled the place up inside. It's a small place packed with flavor. The service was excellent, the food delicious and full of soul. My husband ordered the pulled pork Benedict and I ordered the lemon buttermilk pancakes, both were delicious, the bacon had perfection, and the coffee was too. We can only say you will not be disappointed

Homely feeling restaurant. Great taste. Excellent

By Vitiavenus |

Excellent restaurant giving you a different flavour to what you are used to. - Cornbread is a must, with a hint of jalapeño butter but not spicy - The burger is amazing, really tasty Small and cozy, great service, great food.

Cozy.

By Sofia P |

Great vegetarian food and friendly service. We had dinner and it wasalmost full, reservation is recommended.

Great service, great food

By Areke B |

We actually got there by chance because we were staying across the street in a hotel. The welcome was most cordial, extensive menu also for vegetarians, good beer and fine food, what more could a person want. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Food took a while but was good

By 52mini |

We were looking for some place to eat our last night in Miami. Decided to try this place based on various reviews. This place is small first good sign busy mainly locals who seem like regulars. But also some tourists. Strongly suggest you make reservations. This place is set up like a simple diner so not fancy at all. I ate the Crispy Skin Snapper and my wife ate the ribs. The food was very tasty I had my snapper with fried rice and there were no bones. The ribs were very good as well. Be prepared to wait for your food a little, about 20-25 minutes since it's made as ordered. Otherwise very good food and reasonable price. I would eat there again.

Delicious Food combined with Fantastic Service!!

By Niim_D |

This place is a vegetarian's hidden gem in Miami! There are a ton of options to choose from that would satisfy everyone in your group. The mac and cheese is to die for (creamy and cheesey, but not too heavy). We also had the Mahi Mahi platter with Curried Cauliflower and Potato Salad...SO GOOD. The fish was cooked to perfection and the side options were fantastic as well. There were so many things we wanted to try but we had to limit ourselves unfortunately. If you're in Miami you have to visit this place! The staff are great; very friendly and provided us with exceptional service. Can't wait to go back.

A place with personality.

By esponan |

My wife and I wanted to eat a burger, but a good one, so I asked google. In the list of the best burger in Miami, we choose Blue Collar, the place is not particularly elegant, but has a family atmosphere, we were with our 2 years sun, they do not have a specific menu for kids, but they were kind to fix a pasta with tomato sauce. Even if the menu offered many dishes that called our attention, we ordered the Burger, the truth is that google was right, we ate a Burger of those that make the difference ....... delicious !! we will return to try other dishes, the manager and all the staff have been very friendly and attentive. GOOD JOB!!

Great Brunch!

By ann_galv |

I always recommend this place to people, so I figured why not write a review and share it with the world. I went to Blue Collar with some friends for brunch. I ordered the Pulled Pork Benedict and it was delicious! It is by far one of the best meals I have had in my life. Yes, it is that good! If you are a huge pulled pork fan, you must try this dish. The mimosas were really good too. The service was top notch. It is on the pricey side, but it is worth it.

WOW - Better than Expected!

By blueshopcart |

Due to the good reviews and it's location, I have been wanting to try this place for a while and today we went for brunch. We placed our order of Breakfast Sandwich and Breakfast Burrito, and a side order of latkes, which were all delicious. Coffee is served for the table in a thermos so be ready to enjoy a hot cup of American coffee. Food was also served hot. All the dishes were nicely presented. Looked around to see what other people had ordered, every dish looked good! The service was excellent even as busy as they were. You have a choice to dine inside or outside, the place is very small so reservations are a must! Place was packed by Noon! We'll be back to try lunch and dinner. I hear the bread pudding is excellent! They are also participating in Miami Spice.

Greasy!

By Vale_Picci30 |

The food was all very greasy! The service was anonimous and even after explained why we did not like the super greasy fattening angel hair they did not really care to understand. Never again!

Lunch with my son

By T H |

School is out summer is here! So my 🚶🏻11-year-old son and I decided to venture out to eat something new then off to museum... They also put a cheddar latke on top! Woo hoo he loved man my boy knows how to eat good food! • I ordered a salad delicious watermelon cucumber feta cheese and a light marinade of some sort I didn't ask😋 I just ate it was so flipping good👏🏽 Then I ordered the pork-N- beans they were from heaven it had a fried egg on it lightly fried just right silky and yoke perfect and a couple slices of like a thicker toast it was delicious with a little kick a little spice I like really spicy so the chef brought me some extra hot red jalapeño slices ! to my table I almost everyone they were so good !! Well I would definitely go again it's very casual but truly good food setting is very unique and be patient your food will come in you will thoroughly enjoy

For quaint avant guarde cuisine this place is a gem

By Naomitravel |

Everything about this gem on Biscayne Blvd is superb! Have been returning to this restaurant since I discovered it in 2014 on every visit to Miami. The most delicious plate is their scallops; succulent and meaty and cooked perfectly! We visited during Miami Spice so they offered a new blackberry cobbler on the menu which was fresh and bursting with flavour without being too sweet, I love love this place!

Excellent!!

By barbara1932 |

We went there for a late lunch there at 3 pm and the place was still packed! We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. We order critts with shrimp and bacon,it was so good! They were fast to prepare and serve our food and drinks, very friendly and professional service. I will go back again any time!!

Excellent!

By HKRedneck |

Low key, small and friendly Shared the shrimp grits app and the jambalaya...both were a divergiance from their New Orleans roots, but very good...the grits were creamier than expected, but with a nice BBQ sauce. The jambalaya was flavourful with a spicy bite. Large portions...and an excellent bottled beer selection

Unexpected treat

By Graham C |

Lovely choice of food- really well cooked. The vegetable sides were a revelation - if only more restaurants would do this. The Mahi(fish) and the chicken were both moist and full of flavour. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only drawback was having to sit outside as all the tables inside were booked but it was a Saturday evening, we had just strolled down on the off chance from our Motel so were lucky to get a table at all really

Pathetically Slow Service and Revolting Fries

By rkaemp |

I eat at their other restaurant Mignonette all the time and it is great. Our food took about an hour to come and the restaurant was not busy. Maybe they had a lot of take out orders but I did not notice. I had the oxtail which was very good and i would go back to have it again. I am an oxtail fan. My wife had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. The sandwich looked pretty good although my wife said she would not go back for it. Her fries were awful. Way overcooked. I guess the slow service and poor fries put a damper on the visit. Server was friendly. We sat outside. The noise from the road is quite loud.

Great find

By MagellanVoyages |

Diner style with flair. They have a chalkboard filled with vegetable sides. We tried the roasted beets with goat cheese, plantains and sweet potatoes, kale with red pepper and more. It was all fresh and delicious. Meat and seafood looked delicious, we tried the trout. Hole in the wall but you won't be disappointed!

Great neighbor hood gem

By MIchael H |

Went the BC on a Sunday for lunch and it was very busy. It is recommended to make a reservation. I had and got my table right away. Unfortunately, we had to wait about 20 minutes to have our order taken and the meal didn't come for an hour after we arrived. However, the food was worth the wait. The shrimp and grits, brisket benny and the steak and eggs were all cooked well and nicely presented. The server acknowledged and apologized for our long wait and gave a couple of desert to compensate which was appreciated. We will definitely be back.

Freakin Amazing

By stuart1993 |

This place was the BOMB. We loved everything. Three of us split a wedge salad and then got the veggie plate with some BANGIN cauliflower purée and a really good white bean dish. Also got tasty ribs that came with amazing tater salad. Lastly the ragout was SO DANK. Everything had such amazing flavor and the portions were incredible. We were full but had to have dessert obviously. Holy sh** both the Nutella chocolate cake and the BUTTERSCOTCH HEATH BAR BREAD PUDDING were straight fire. So yeah you should check this place out bc all the food was amazeballs and the service was just as excellent.

Vibrant atmosphere

By John H |

Great selection of food, well prepared and nicely served. There is also a good selection of beers / wine. All in all great experience and it won't break the bank

If you're looking for good food--go here.

By MileHighFlyer |

After having a very terrible experience eating at The Bazzar on South Beach we decided to look at reviews for really good food. We decided to make Blue Collar our NYE restaurant. I was a little hesitant after reading the reviews that the ambiance wasn't anything special but the food was good. I would like to say the ambiance was great. We sat outside with large greenery and white lights hung from the ceiling. It may not have been marble floors but it felt very comfortable and was a good outdoor seating. The food was amazing. My fiancé ordered the ox tail and a beer, I had the burger and a glass of wine, and we both had a great cup of coffee to end the evening. Definitely some of the best food in Miami.

Get your Shrimp & Grits On!

By Papa G |

I have had better versions but this one is very good. Add a side of grilled asparagus with crumbled blue cheese and you just had The Papa G lunch. I'd definitely try something else next time tho. The "Braise" dujour sounded good as did The "Parm". Serious sides are offered on the chalk board at this comfort food emporium.

Riding on Publicity?

By StephanieOB |

The neighbourhood around Blue Collar is becoming more and more gentrified and thanks to that they have gotten some good publicity as of late. I think they are riding on the good press and service and quality is sliding. The front door greeter had a lot of attitude when we showed up without a reservation. He wasn't accommodating or particularly nice to us. The vegetable plate, which used to be excellent, was very buttery. Like they were hiding behind butter and salt. The curried cauliflower was overly sweet (almost like a pumpkin pie filling). There are better restaurants in Miami.

Check this one out!

By Stephanie5867 |

Found this little gem on Trip Advisor, and I am a bit of a Triple D follower, so decided to give it a go. It did not disappoint. Small place, super friendly. I had the shrimp and grits along with the jalapeño corn bread. So incredibly good. I’d do this one again!

Date night

By Sarcasim02 |

Great space, really cozy, inside and out. This place gets pack so it's worth the wait or reservation. Priced right and if you can't take the heat then you really can't leave the kitchen because you have an excellent view of the chef and cooks working their magic. Theses guys are on top when it comes to plate and service. I can't recommend anything because it all looks good. Our date night consisted of the beef tostones, mahi, mahi and fried chicken breast w/ grilled asparagus, watermelon and mashed potatoes. Pan fried chicken and seared mahi was point! Dog fish beer and Native Lager to wash it all down. Kid friendly and the staff is all business when it comes to taking care of the patrons. Yes it was quite warm inside but hey it's summer and its Miami so the food was worth it. We will return!!!!

Over hyped but good food

By uberspeed |

Small place, odd location, parking is inconvenient. That said the food was quite tasty and the jambalaya is great.

Awful!!!!

By lori_and_maxwell |

We’ve been vacationing in Miami every August for many years. This was by far the worst dining experience we’ve had. To begin, we were a party of four (two couples). We had a reservation at 8:30. Not only was the reservation not honored, but we waited nearly one hour for a table to pay and leave. The reservation was not honored. We were comped a round of drinks, but this did not make up for the nearly nonexistent service and uneven quality of the food. Sadly disappointed; had done a lot of research and we will not return!

Braised and Confused

By Papa G |

20$ for the Braise of the day was a little steep for lunch and for a dish that can be routinely found for +/- $10 in many of Miami’s local ethnic restaurants e.g. Cuban Dominican, Jamaican, etc but Blue Collar’s side dishes excel on a level unequaled and their location does too. An amazing list of chalkboard side dishes and entrees await you at this comfort food emporium.

Hip to be blue

By Noslomot |

It was a hot afternoon, but the outside was cooler than the inside. Even with a line to get in it moved quickly. Food very Good. Service very friendly and knowledgeable. Mood blue color cool. Go, enjoy. Note only beer and wine.

Local favorite spot

By Selah B |

One of our favorite spots in Miami. Enjoyed the outdoor seating. Food was super good and reasonably priced. Our waiter was good but came across like he didn't want to be working. He keep our beverages full and was thorough but not pleasant at all. Took nothing from the experience as we cleaned our plates and left a good tip.

Great easy comfort Food

By Kathleen M |

Simple meals with lost of flavour, good an quick service, excellent sweet potato chips and spare ribs. Just a simple meal as it should be. Sitting outside is a bit loud because of the road.

Out with friends from Toronto

By edwin b |

I was visiting Miami on business and friends from Toronto who have no one for ever were also in Miami visiting and we decided to get together and go and grab dinner. They asked if there was any place special that I wanted to try or leave it up to them and as they come down here quite often to their condo I said you choose the spot that you guys have frequented and like, they said to check out blue-collar‘s menu and see if it was something I would like to try. They pick me up and it was about a 30 minute drive from our location and we headed out to this hole in the wall diner in a close down motel in South Miami nothing to look at from inside or outside but don’t let that fool you. We started off with some shrimp and grits and some delicious pancetta crispy and well done and we shared that it was absolutely delicious the grits were creamy rich and very flavorful we then chose three different entrées that we were going to share the first was the chicken Parmesan ,the jambalaya and I had the braised oxtail ( which came mild medium or spicy ) I choose the medium it was absolutely delicious but crazy spicy (I broke out in a huge sweat but I was worth ever punishing bite We all tried each other’s dish ,which were all delicious and very large portions We ended the meal with a delicious key lime pie and rich chocolate cake ,both very good but key lime did the job of cooling down my mouth Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Miami

Not worth any hype.

By AdamLV |

Some items are decent, other items not. They only have very limited amounts of items as well. A lot of their food is on the spicy side; some of the items work as spicy some don't. The pork shank was spicy and extremely fatty. The restaurant is in a "sketchy" area and at the bottom of an apartment complex. I drove right by it. There seems to be no parking designated for the restaurant so I was worried about towing (and given the neighborhood the possibility of a break in as well). Place needs a HUGE face lift. Met my family for dinner their, don't know how they found the place but would decline going again if invited. The only redeeming factors were some food items (cuban sandwich appetizer was good and their French fries were fresh cut and good) and the servers were nice and friendly.

Great food, even better service

By ladytraveler1973 |

We went here while on vacation as a family. Very casual setting. The staff was terrific. They even pointed out that we had parked in a spot that might have gotten us towed. The selection of main dishes and sides is terrific. I got the brisket on some terrific Portuguese buns. My boys got the burgers. Portions are generous.

A Real Treat

By somedaysue |

Most restaurants' side dishes are an afterthought. At Blue Collar, there are 20 different side dishes to choose from. We ate there twice while I was in Miami. On both occasions, I had the grilled mahi mahi, which was very good. The stars of the show, however, were the sides. We tried the caramelized Brussels sprouts (loved them!), grilled asparagus with blue cheese, sauteed mushrooms, roasted artichokes with lemon aioli (Don't miss them!), and roasted beets with goat cheese. Blue Collar has a regular menu plus three specials each day - some kind of ribs, a "Parmesan" entree, and a braised dish. We really enjoyed our meals there, especially the veggies. I was tempted to order the four-vegetable plate! The portions are decent-sized, so you don't leave hungry. The servers are friendly and informative. The ambiance is diner-style. I liked the old-fashioned lunch boxes mounted on the wall. We have to return, because there are so many things we still want to try!

Small but mighty!

By P L |

We had reservations for 6:30 on Sunday with friends. We were the second table there but by 7 all 6 tables inside were filled. The outside filled up quickly also. We had 2 appetizers that were very good. One wanted lemonade but they were out. Said they ran out at brunch. We had Parmesan chicken, brisket sandwich and 2 orders of veggie plate. The veggies were each very special. Also ordered some greens that were not as good as the other veggies. We had bread pudding for dessert and it was delicious. Hard to believe the spa was so small but was handled nicely by staff.

Great experience!

By Margo S |

A group of us dined here after a day of drinking at one of the pool bars in Miami and we were absolutely pleased with our visit. Our server was Matthew ("gift from God") and he was very knowledgable, attentive and entertaining. The food was absolutely delicious. We would definitely come back here when we're in Miami again.

Don’t waste your time.

By Marceea |

Nothing to brag about. Way over priced for the quality and variety. Neighborhood sketchy. Service ok

Holy Moly! This place is beyond delicious!

By realgilmoregirl |

I love this place so much, I made sure to go twice on my trip--once solo and once with my daughter. I found this restaurant a few years ago during my last visit to Miami and definitely felt like it was a hidden gem. Fast forward until now, and it was the first place I wanted to go after a long day of travel as I knew I would have a fantastic meal. I had the chicken parmesan along with a side of brussel sprouts. Did I need all that food? No. But did I do my best to try to eat it all? You betcha! It's just that good. Paired with the wine and the AMAZING customer service, and you've got yourself one amazing meal whether you are alone or sharing with someone. The second time I went with my daughter, she and I had an equally great experience--ordering the chicken parmesan and a shrimp dish, as well as delicious wine, and we ordered a slice of chocolate cake to go. The frosting on that cake was out of this world good. Overall, my favorite restaurant in Miami and one I will continue to support each time I travel there.

Delicious Local Find

By Jennifer L |

Fantastic find while visiting Miami. The inside dining area may be small (outside seating also available), but the food and service are well worth the visit. There is a good wine/craft beer list. Our menu favorites included potato latkes, b/s chicken and lamb gnocchi. Don’t forget to save room for dessert. A fantastic gem in Miami!!

What a great lunch! Delicious !

By OlgaM714 |

Is not easy to eat with my husband but our goal is to order variety . Today order start with the conch fritter and absolutely tasty and perfect flavor. Follow by Marsha's salad that was not my favorite because of the bitterness that some ma like but not me. After that's order the Pork Braise brisket that's was unbelievable amazing. So hard not to finish it and compliment side dishes are a plus , sautéed kale and Caramelized Brussels sprouts. Yes we end up so full but really satisfied. A normal couple will eat half of our Order but we are not normal we are foodies and love to give a shout out to great places like this one.. Service was attentive and on time.. Hey the lines for brunch are so worst it..

Solo Lunch

By Jesse W |

I'd heard about this place now for a couple of years since it opened and finally made it in for a weekday lunch. It combines all of my favorites: American classics, diner food, comfort food, and sides galore! As much as I like diner food, I don't understand why diners can't up the ante on freshness and stay relevant. This place has done that, although it is a trendy "diner". Maybe twenty fabulous side dishes, so many good ones to choose from I got the Veggie Plate which has 4 for $19. Very friendly waiter (although he could pull up his jeans) and a little steep for everyday lunch (one course, iced tea, tax and tip $28).

Good food and Service but too noisy!

By AnnArborMHT |

Visited here a few years ago, decided to return, knowing its a very small restaurant with an open kitchen. That said, I was still struck with how very noisy it was and how difficult and annoying this would be to enjoy dinner. They do offer an outside area, but traffic on Biscayne Bld. is thunderous and while they have attempted to make the small area more appealing with plants, its still too noisy for me. The noise level is my only complaint - add ceiling tiles, curtains or some material to absorb the sound and kitchen staff should be aware the banging skillets and dishes isn't pleasant for guests. There was just one waitress on Friday night; whew she was good! She attended each table with a smile, prompt service and was delightful; don't know how she does it, but we were impressed. Food was very good; nice portions, reasonable prices and lots of sides to choose from. Good craft beer selection and wine. Overall, enjoyed the service and food, just wish it was less noisy and a more soothing dinner out.

No blues at Blue Collar

By Jaysent |

Saturday night a bit noisy but easy to forgive in light of the quality and taste of the food. My wife thoroughly enjoyed braised veal with unbelievably good mashed potatoes. Talk about comfort food!! My grilled rainbow trout was prepared perfectly. Crisp skin on the outside and tender flake that was scrumptious. Grilled asparagus with blue cheese and roasted potatoes where my side vegetables and I might add they were fabulous. For vegetarians it's a veritable cornucopia of garden delights. Top it off with Florida lager and you've got the makings of a perfect meal.

Don’t judge a book by its cover

By Mesbin |

We saw this restaurant on diners, drive in & dives so we wanted to try it during our recent visit to Miami. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is very small & they have tables outside as well. Its not much in the way of looks but don’t let that fool you. Our waiter came right over to our table to ask what we wanted to drink. He was very attentive & friendly through out our dinner. We didn’t order any appetizers so we can’t comment on them. We ordered the big ragout & the corben. Boy oh boy were they good. The portions were large & definitely sharable. We ordered the bread pudding for dessert. It was ok, nothing special. Overall we would recommend eating at this restaurant.

Funky-Good Little Restaurant

By Debora P |

Blue Collar is located in a beginning-to-gentrify part of Miami, next to a boarded-up, seedy motel. Don't let that stop you from trying this little eatery. It's totally safe and there's ample, free on-street parking--bonus. We opted to eat outside on a warm Miami evening; yes, tables are kind-of on the street but that just adds to the ambiance! Our server, Sylvie, was great. She brought our "starving" granddaughter a big plate of buttered pasta so the rest of us could enjoy our wine and dinner. Speaking of dinner---we totally over-ordered, but everything sounded (and was) delicious. We started with a big serving of crispy conch fritters with a spicy (not fiery) dipping sauce, yummy artichoke hearts, vacca fritta on fried plantains, and duck quesadillas with fig jam: (quesadillas are normally served with smoked gouda but since none of us are fans of this cheese, we opted out). We then dined on BBQ ribs (not the usual since they are spiced with curry) and a very hearty veal/pork/brisket ragu over pappradelle. Although the desserts are said to be excellent, we took a pass and took home our leftovers, which we enjoyed the next day! The ONLY problem with Blue Collar; only one (1) bathroom for the entire place, including employees. Yes, it's a small restaurant but not THAT small.

Small & Compact with excellent food!

By BunnyboyFLOH |

After seeing the Beyond Van Gogh we went to Blue Collar on recommendation, Apparently Guy Fieri (sp) reviewed this place in 2013, the most recent recommendation due to the Triple D show. Well even after 8years, it deserves another visit by Guy! The area is less than sensational, and the motel which is attached to the hole in the wall called the Blue Collar is closed to the outside, but looks like it is still being used. The entrance to Blue Collar is hidden behind some potted palms, and on the inside you find they have 4 tables set up to accommodate 16 people, outside they have 4 picnic tables to accommodate maybe another 24 people. The bathroom is spotless! The back kitchen area where they clean dishes is also spotless. There is a blackboard for side offerings, and they have a paper menu with all the food on one side and the back side has all the adult beverages. The crew on hand on a Friday afternoon about 3, were 3 people. You will see in the pictures the "host" who takes the orders and serves the food. There is a cook, who is really a good cook, and then there is a lady who does the back kitchen work--cleanup of dishes, etc. For our meal we started with the Conch Fritters, and Portuguese Muffins; then shrimp & grits (excellent-cheesy grits); touted best cheeseburger in Miami--reported to excellent; lastly Ragout on Sesame Bun (Guy's recommendation & theirs's too). A delicious Pinot -Pavette, CA and a APA Reef Donkey along with a coke topped it all off. All agreed--we will be back, and that means from Naples, FL.... According to the staff--reservations are a must in the evening, the wait time can be long.....

What a neighborhood restaurant should be

By BramStoker |

What a great restaurant! Excellent food (including the best veggie choices in Miami and wonderful desserts). Nice people. Great vibe. We go back again and again. And they take reservations now. Reminds me a bit of the old Joe Allen's on the Beach, a place we loved and miss. Highly recommended!

Hidden jewel

Excellent Everything

This review will be short and sweet. First time going to this establishment. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and it was outstanding. My girlfriend had a shrimp dish and ate it all. The service was excellent. The food was excellent. Excellent experience.

Great food and a diverse menu

By Hockers9 |

Stopped here for lunch on our first day in Miami. We had a breakfast burrito and the Caesar salad with chicken. Both meals were great and could not be faulted. The service was attentive and friendly. The portion size is very big, but I believe that to be normal for the US.

Never disappoints

By SouthFLfoodie |

Had the duck confit Benedict the three times I’ve been here. Not because there is nothing else that’s good but because it’s THAT good. I can’t get get myself to order anything else because this is the only place I can get it. It sounds that it should be fatty but that is not what stands out in this dish. You have tanginess from the cheese and gravy and the bread is soft in the center with crusty buttery edge. AMAZING!!!

Small place, superb service

By terry m |

My wife and I were heading to Balans, we had to cross Biscayne to get to that restaurant when right behind us my wife spotted this quaint place. Open seating, packed with just 1 table unoccupied. My wife always wanted to try a mom and pop establishment and we were not disappointed. She had a burger which she said was the best she ever had, no filling and perfectly cooked. I had the red crispy snapper and it also was perfectly cooked and flavoured. The waiters were very attentive and, albeit young boys, but they prided themselves on their manners and on serving their customers. The cost was below comparative and the restaurant was clean and the ambience of laughing families enjoying a meal could only aid in digestion/ Our first meal on our visit and a welcome we will never forget.

Awesome!

OMG the food was amazing. Huge portions and all fresh and home made. The meat is so nicely smoked and grilled. All the flavors were delish. The staff went over and above treating their customers with a smile & customer service. Said Ty several times & met everyone at the door & Hugs on the way out. You will not be disappointed!!! Makes the customer feel happy. Unbelievable.

Outstanding

Words cannot describe how pleased we are with our dining experience. We stumbled upon this eatery a few years ago and were very pleased. Again we leave full and pleasantly pleased with our meal, the service and price. Started with the delicious shrimp and grits, followed by the lamb and brisket entrees. Oh my goodness... Party in my mouth. This was better than we remembered. The outside seating was comfortable and very quaint. Parking is available beside the restaurant but use caution, its a very busy thorough fare. Enjoy.

Amazing brunch!

By Kathryn M |

This small restaurant was recommended by our hotel. At first glance, it doesn’t look that inviting as it is attached to a small divy looking motel and has a very tiny dining area. However, once you read the menu you realize that the menu is enticing and unusual. I ordered the spicy shrimp eggs Benedict on Portuguese bread (like an English muffin with no cracks) and my husband ordered the brisket sandwich with potato pancakes and homemade applesauce. The creole type sauce on the shrimp Benedict was beyond delicious as it was slightly spicy and creamy but not at all hot. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The side of potatoes with grilled onions and peppers were practically addictive as I usually avoid that course to save in carbs. And, my husband barely said a word while he inhaled the melt in your mouth brisket sandwich with a side of beef aujus. He was beside himself with the homemade apple sauce. This place is a little gem! Go for lunch, brunch or dinner. Don’t miss it!

How do you run out of food?

By SouthFloLifestyles |

I heard great things about this place, but today I pretty disturbed because it's Easter Sunday, came here for brunch and I haven't eaten yet and I'm so upset. The only reason I'm still sitting at the table is because my 5 year old has to eat. So we make a 2:30pm reservation. We get there on time only to hear, well we are still experimenting with reservations. So we wait 40 min to sit down. They take another ten min to take an order. Then when we place the order, they have none of the items we ordered. Their out of pancakes and french toast which are the highlights of their brunch. So we order a pulled pork breakfast entree and after 10 minutes we are told they are out of that too. So basically all they had was bacon and eggs and toast. Bacon and eggs come out. I asked for eggs to be over medium, but what we got was hard fried eggs. Toast comes out and it's a side of burger bun, not toasted. I drove a long way to come here and one thing after the next really got me peeved. I couldn't even enjoy the bacon and eggs, because they messed up my eggs and I was hangry at this point. I get the bill and the server asked how was the meal. I shared my disappointment. He goes back inside and comes out with proprietor and says he took the 2 lemonades and the beer off the bill now reduced to $62.00 Then he asked what did we want to eat? We told him brunch items on the menu such as pancakes, and french toast. He said we came at the tail end of brunch which ends at 4pm. Mind you I had a 2:30pm reservation and waited 40 min. So they ran out of these items. I think I'm pretty understanding, but this is a restaurant. It's brunch. Pancakes and french toast....who runs out of that! I'd like to suggest they not experiment with reservations until they can handle reservations and plan to not run out of food. I could have made my own bacon and eggs for my family and that. would have cost less than $15.00.

The Best

My dry aged burger and fries was the best I’ve ever had. I’m 73 years old so that’s an accomplishment. Also the outdoor seating was superb

Jojo’s tea , is served in a thermos just like your blue collar family members did 40 yrs ago. Comfort food and ambiance go hand and hand . This 38 seat hidden gem is growing in popularity, make a reservation is a must and you’ll still wait , large tables are few a far between. 2 or 4 people is the norm here Excellent food preparation is visible from almost every seat. 🍎 SAUCE APPLE , get some ! Period

Great place

By TommyBoy828 |

I found this place on Tripe D on food network. I got the big ragout sandwich and my husband got the shrimp and greats. Both were excellent. My side was the sweet potato plantain mash which was great. I would highly recommend. It is a smaller place so you might have to wait but well worth it.

Didn’t Disappoint!

By Robin T |

I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner and would definitely go again! Next time I may try a delivery service. The diner has extremely limited seating and is pretty small. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the chef’s menu choices. Left satisfied!

Wonderful Miami Spice dinner

By 154judi946 |

Wow! And to think some people say that Miami Spice's menus are not what they used to be! The Blue Collar takes the mundane and makes it glorious! My husband and I chose the Miami Spice dinners last night and were blown away by the quantity and quality of the food! The choices were outstanding, service excellent and atmosphere lovely! Not going to tell what we ate but highly recommend you try yourselves! You have until Sept 30 to have a go! Don't pass the chance up!

A bit of a disappointment

By Marty F |

8 of us went out for dinner. We sat outside on an evening that wasn't particularly warm, and in fact there was a breeze, but other than turning the fans the other way, they said they could not turn the off. Most of us had the veggie platter, with various combinations of the vegetable dishes. The artichokes were excellent, but the curried cauliflower was felt by those who had it to be far too sweet, and reviews were mixed on the chickpeas stewed with kale. Then we were given the bill with 20% tip automatically added, and a line for additional tip, with no verbal explanation or mention of any kind that a (generous) tip was already included. Some of us had eaten there before, and said the previous meals (particularly lunch) had been better.

Hearty American fayre

By kleopapas |

...with a twist, for example pulled pork eggs Benedict or a great burger ensconced in a Portuguese muffin. The service was brisk, efficient and helpful - glad we took a taxi from Miami Beach to this joint, check it out.

Inconsistent! Mixed feelings about lunch !

By OlgaM714 |

I was excited to come back after having a great lunch couples months ago. This time was lack of flavors and presentation . Perhaps what we order wasn't the right items. Mac and cheese and broccoli had same sauce and overpowering . Not great . The spaghetti squash was good but at the same time something on the presentation wasn't right and a bit cold . The best was homemade fries . I think dinner menu is more exciting ..

Blue Collar - Blue Ribbon Is In Sight!

By guruph |

Really enjoyed my dining experience at this tiny little place. My wife and I had breakfast. Bring an appetite as these folks will feed you well. I had the large breakfast which included pancakes, French toast, fruit, yogurt, sausage, and bacon. Oddly enough that did not come with eggs, which I had to order as a side item. The first eggs looked like boxed eggs, but I requested cracked fried/scrambled eggs and they did wonderfully. The French toast was more bread than French toast, but the lemon flavored buttermilk pancakes were outstanding and very different. This place was very busy and we were seated at a small table for two right away. This is not a large building, but they have outside dining space as well. Limited parking is available on the small lot next to the restaurant and in adjacent lots and street side parking spaces nearby, but they serve the meals so fast, hot, and fresh it allows a great flow getting you in and out within about an hour. I would definitely visit this place again. Here are my ratings on each element of my dining experience: External cleanliness – 3.5 (Does not look like much on the outside, but is clean) Internal cleanliness - 4 (better than expected considering the small building) Cleanliness of tables, chairs, china - 4 Wait staff - 4 Food quality - 4 (served hot and fresh - plentiful - very good quality) Value - 3 (A little overpriced - but worth the cost, if the fix the French toast and include eggs with the main entrée breakfast meals) I recommend this place. It's slightly pricier than I should be, but all-in all it's worth it.

Just OK

By Passport632919 |

After all the good reviews we gave this place a try. There was very little on the menu that my teenage daughter or I would normally eat. She ended up with fish and I with the ribs. All was OK. Pricey for a just Ok meal.

Better than expected

By SPfromLI |

We saw Blue Collar on Triple D while we were in Miami and we decided to go there for lunch. We had a group of 7. The service was exceptional and the food spectacular. All 7 of us loved our meals. Such a great place !

Finally!

By Jorge B |

I am not from Miami and have been trying to visit this restaurant for a couple of years. Comments from other visitors were very good so we were interested in confirming all this evaluations. Finally we went in 1/28 and I can confirm that from now on, I will do my best to go there everytime I am in town. Excellent food, wonderful service and the location is perfect for a neighborhood restaurant. Please try the jambalaya and the Key lime pie.

Great Breakfast/Brunch Spot away from all the craziness in South Beach

By Shawn M |

I was skeptical about this place initially as I didn't do any research and took the recommendation of a friend of a friend. I always like being in control and finding my own places. However, the meal was outstanding. I simply had the egg and cheese sandwich but it was delicious and came with the best roasted potatoes I have ever had. If you want to get away from the crazy South Beach folks, this place was a gem.

Deliciously reliable!

By GBfromNY |

Each time I visit Miami I try to stop at Blue Collar for my first meal to put myself in the proper South Florida state of mind. Usually it is brunch, and what a brunch - delicious food, in a cool setting with really nice staff. We generally go with the breakfast food options - but have had the opportunity to have lunch as well and those are awesome menu choices as well. I generally go for "Brandon's Breakfast" which is far too much food including Pancakes, French Toast, Bacon, Sausage, Toast, Hash, Fruit Salad, REAL Maple Syrup, while my wife goes much simpler with eggs and potatoes (although she does "help" me with mine.) Regardless of what you order be sure to save room for the Key Lime Pie, which is among the best - if not the best - in Miami.

Superb lunch in MIMO

By Brion C |

Blue Collar is located in the MIMO area of Miami in the lobby of a hotel dating from the 1950s. It had a creative, imaginative menu. It’s relatively small but the service is great, all of the staff are really friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. We had the huge wedge salad with blue cheese, the grilled salmon with caramelized Brussels sprouts and braised cabbage with apple and bacon and the gigantic Philly cheesesteak. Plus a wonderful piece of moist chocolate cake with a nice crème Anglais sauce and creamy chocolate frosting. There is still time to go the Miami Spice menu until the end of September.

WOW!

By Kennon4 |

A very hidden gem. Truly unique. The menu is hearty and interesting. The atmosphere is like sitting in the kitchen with the cooks. As unpretentious as a restaurant with creativity and soul could possibly be. It is a little bit pricey, but worth it. At lunch I was able to linger for hours with an old friend. Loved it.

Tasty Soul Food

By TravelpeopleMiami |

I have been to Blue Collar several times and the food is still delicious. I find the Mimo area in Miami very interesting, there's a lot of rotation on the restaurants in this area, but I am happy to say I believe Blue Collar is here to stay!! Hurray! Blue Collar is a small, casual restaurant that serves creole soul food. My favorite dishes are the Shrimp and Grits and the Jambalaya. Delicious!

Cool Local Vibe

By outNabout23 |

Heard about this place, so decided to try it, since I was in the area. Friendly service provided by staff and open kitchen style view from every seat. The food was good and the portion size was abundant. Seating inside is minimal, so could be difficult when crowded. Blackboard menu in addition to a regular menu. Prices were fair and dessert was delicious. Dining inside can be quite noisy so weather permitting outside would be preferable. Blue Collar is a good neighborhood find and very chill.....I would recommend in the off season since waiting on line is not my thing !!!!!!!

Phenomenal Food!

By aww3583 |

Blue Collar is in an unassuming lobby of a rundown motel. Don't judge a book by its cover! My group of 6 shared a handful of appetizers. The shrimp and grits were good. The Cuban spring rolls were the star of the show. The menu had at least 20 daily vegetables on it. It's definitely a vegan's paradise! I had the scallops with cauliflower. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the bacon/cauliflower base was incredibly flavorful. Everyone in my group was more than impressed with our meal. Drinks were cold, dinner portions were perfect, and dessert was cold and creamy. The reason for only 4 stars? No air conditioning. This is Miami in July. It was unbearably hot in the restaurant. If the food wasn't so good, we likely would have left. Fix the AC and you may have one of my favorite restaurants in several years.

OMG!

By RandiE212 |

Food here is amazing. We ordered off of the Miami Spice menu, and a few appetizers off of the regular menu - everything was delicious! Small setting, and everything appears to be cooked to order, so don't go here if you are on a time crunch.

Elegant Comfort Food

By Jeffrey H |

Just the perfect spot for dinner with you spouse. This intimate diner-cum-restaurant is worth the wait on weekends and the food can be memorably good!

Delicious comfort food ! Casual.

By Astrida M |

UPDATE: 01/13/24 We stopped by here on Saturday after a very heartbreaking visit to a veterinarian about one of our beloved pets. After going thru that, we wanted comfort food! We immediately thought of Blue Collar, who specializes in comfort food, IMHO. This restaurant has been around for several years now. Its popularity never wavers. You see people standing outside in line waiting to get in. Once you are inside, it is packed. It is very small inside, maybe 12 tables plus they have about 10 tables for outdoor seating. All tables are comfortably good sized. They are spread apart, so no one is on top of their neighbor table. It does get loud inside because it is filled with a happy type of people who all love to talk at once. Even though we had just been ugly crying at the vet's, we got used to the volume, and it actually made us calm down quickly, and we were very comfortable and could hear each other easily. Amazing how that happened. The food was delicious, of course. I had the Braised Lamb Shank with the brown gravy and the Yellow Yukon mashed potatoes. To die for! The meat fell off the bone and kind of melted in my mouth. The brown gravy was like my mother's gravy as I was growing up. They also give you a generous size of crusty bread, which was so good. My daughter had the Spare Ribs with gravy/sauce poured over it and corn on the cob. She loved it! Tasty and melts in your mouth deliciousness. We saved half of our meals for later at dinnertime because we wanted to try the Stuffed Brioche French Toast with fresh fruit. It was awesome! Thick slices, soft middle with a slight crustiness to the crust. Powdered sugar and maple syrup added to the yumminess. Our server, FOH, was on it at all times. He was friendly, calm, attentive, and professional. No complaints. Dress casual and comfortable. You will come out of the Blue Collar feeling better. Parking is wherever you can find it. They are connected to the little blue hotel and share the parking lot, I believe. Street parking is also available...it's Miami.

Excellent food!

By GetAway4us23 |

This place serves up some excellent food. The sandwiches are at the top in Miami. Portions are enough for two. Got my credit card skimmed here. Aside from that it is a great place for lunch and dinner. I have to try their brunch. I hear its amazing. Going with cash next time!

Best Food in Miami

By Nikesh P |

Me and my girlfriend spent a week in Miami and we found that this was hands down THE BEST in Miami area. Food is great, staff is friendly. We ordered several dishes on the menu and loved them all. Got the grilled mahi mahi with curried cauliflower and potato salad. Also got an order of their Mac n cheese which was amazing. Again, I highly recommend this place if you're in Miami. You definitely won't regret it.

Terrific food - especially the daily braise and vegetables

By Lynda V |

We actually tried Blue Collar during our vacation to Miami Beach last year and overall loved it. My husband ordered the Daily Braise, which this day was lamb neck with tzadziki. It was incredible - I wish I had ordered it as well. I ordered the Corben, which was a disappointment as I was expecting a plate of yummy moist brisket slices but instead got a sandwich with two portuguese muffins (similar to english muffin) with a few slices of somewhat dry brisket. That was the only sour note, however. We also ordered several items from the daily vegetable board (they have roughly 20 items offered each day) - I don't recall what we ordered, but everything was really good. For dessert, we had Key Lime Pie - not normally my preference, but I figured, when in Florida...Well, this Key Lime Pie was incredible - so much better than any of the others I have tried over the years. I wish we had a Blue Collar near us in Southern California - we would eat there at least once a week!

Delicious Lunch

By Stan S |

I only give five stars to a restaurant if they made every effort to excel with food, ambiance and service. Brisket sandwich was exceptional. Brisket was perhaps the most tender and flavorful I have ever eaten. Portuguese muffin was used for sandwich, which is denser and more tasty than an English muffin. Sliced carrots in sweet sauce were perfectly cooked. Potato hash was good. Bacony potato salad, as with most restaurants, had too much mayo. But, it was tangy. This is a small place, with 24 seats indoors and 14 seats outdoors. Inside is very bright and upbeat. Music selection was varied and perfect. Servers were attentive. The entire mood was positive. Good job, guys. My friends and I will be back.

So good and delicious

By Stuart S |

I was told to go check out this restaurant which just expanded to a larger space. I went with my wife and we loved everything we ordered. We will keep coming back

SURPRISE!!!!!!

By Ken F |

This is our second visit to Blue Collar. Our first experience was so enjoyable that we invited some friends to join us. The menu is very interesting, the food very well prepared and the portions more than enough. The ambiance is "comfort" and is the good news/bad news about the place. Very comfortable and unique is the good news. A bit noisy and crowded is the bad news. Overall a great dining experience and a fun place to take people who haven't been there before. They may be incredulous at the beginning but walk away pleasantly surprised afterward.

Treated like royalty, A banquet for kings!

By ukinmiami |

I cant thank blue collar enough for our meal on Friday. Not only did they bring it on the food (which they always do) there generosity was overwhelming! We have been enough times now where we are recognized by the staff. I had this wonderful conversation with the chef on the last occasion. I said to him you create magic. He said it comes with love and comes from the heart. Honestly is there anything else you need to know! If you dont go you are missing out. Enough said?

A real brunch

By Bgcglaze |

We were wanting a place to meet our friends for brunch and every place served a large mid-day meal which I do not consider a brunch. Finally we found this place and what a find. It is very tiny inside so it's good to make a reservation. There is also outside seating. They had several good brunch items on the menu with one including everything you could want, pancakes, french toast, bacon, etc. It was worth the rather distant ride for me to have a good, old fashioned, NYC brunch. Need to find more places like this down in sunny Florida.
