Pull Pork Sandwich

By Dr. Iberkis Faltas |

The pull pork sandwich and the corn bread were really, really good! I like my sandwich plain, and this one was awesome: It didn't need mayo, or tomato, or pickles, or nothing. It was that good: fresh, well seasoned, moist, tender, and vinagerish!! The corn bread was also excellent!! Fresh and yummy! Both are recommended!

Great customer service

My family ordered take out online that we picked up at the restaurant. When the food was not ready at the promised time, the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The food and customer service were outstanding.

Great Spot

I stopped in here after visiting the 9/11 Memorial. Our bartender, Julien, made a Sazerac that was delicious. For a snack I had the smoked wings and they were amazing.

Great Bbq

Really enjoyed our visit from Blue Smoke. I stared with a Kettle One martini and was pleasantly surprised when they told me I could have blue cheese olives. We had two appetizers- deviled eggs and warm potato chips. Shared a full slab of ribs with mashed sweet potatoes and Mac and cheese. Delicious It was a birthday so they put a candle in the flourless chocolate cake. Very enjoyable!

Very good ribs - A bargain during Restaurant Week

By Allan K |

While I admit, I prefer baby back ribs that are "wet" rather then with a "dry rub" I was not disappointed with my meal at Blue Smoke on East 27th Street. I took one of my daughters there for dinner during Restaurant week. She had the chicken entrée and I, as previously mentioned, had the baby back ribs. That along with a salad and dessert were a bargain for $38 per person. It had been a while since I had been to the restaurant, but I do remember the quality of food was very good in my prior visit and it was the same tonight. The service was very good as well.

Small portions & rancid beer

Review of the Citi Field location. Went here for lunch at a Mets game since I love BBQ and wanted to avoid the long lines at Shack Shake. I now know why there was no line. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. When I got to an open table to eat, the "sandwich" there was not even enough meat to cover the bun in a thin layer, and what was there was lukewarm. My brother got a beer, and it was off, We had to dump it and get one someplace else. That will be my one and only time eating there.

Lovely food and excellent service

We had 2 meals at Blue Smoke during a recent trip to NYC. Food was really outstanding - ribs to be recommended, but everything on the menu cooked perfectly and with obvious pride (and care). Service was excellent both times and price was surprisingly reasonable for such a popular restaurant. Would definitely recommend. Plenty of kids eating there both times we went, which suited our 9 year old son.

Chicken Wing Powers -- Activate

By Redbullx2 |

If you have the pleasure of being in the NY area or JFK airport terminal 4 . gates B....save some room for the Chipotle chicken wings...freakin' amazing.....If you could request blue cheese crumbles you will be in store for Nirvana. The fresh fried on the other hand are very tasty...but the spicy cheese Sauce isn't spicy...hell the nacho cheese at the movie theatres tastes better and is Spicer...just a note to the chef...dropping 2 jalapeno slices doesn't equal spicy...maybe some green chillies or roast the jalapenos to extract the oils and enhance the flavor profile. .btw the heat is in the seeds.

Nice atmosphere in this restaurant. Chicken wings were tasty . The pork and beef ribs were good too. Key lime pie was delicious. Good service.

FAMOUS RESTAURANT DISAPPOINTS!

By Edward L |

Heard about the many choices of top restaurants at Citi Field where the NY Mets play and my mouth watered as I previewed the Blue Smoke menu on the internet. Couldn't decide if my culinary anticipation trumped my sport's or the other way around, but anyway I was GREATLY disappointed when I saw there were no ribs of any type to be had here, the food was cold, and there were no hand wipes either. Who ever heard of hand wipes at a bar bq joint?? If only Danny Meyer knew!!

Good BBQ

Good food & service. Excellent range of home brewed beers. Attentive staff. Very busy on a week day - says it all.

We had a personable server and a tasty chicken sandwich with crispy fries. They were out of chocolate chip cookies. I would come back.

Stopped by as close to the 9/11 memorial. Amazing food, attentive and friendly service and nice interior. Happy hour between 3-6pm (Sunday we went) was an added bonus!

All about them wings

Chicken wings where the one. We visited after being awake 24 hours travelling from London and this was the perfect ending. I think it's right next to a Jazz Club too, if that is your thing. Restaurant is quite large, staff very good food definitely tastes amazing.

Okay BBQ for a stadium

The food at Blue Smoke is uninspired and generally soggy. I've been to the Manhattan location and the Citi Field version is a pale substitute. I know they are pumping out the food fast, but its just not the same. I'll pass next time.

Good Option at JFK, Wonderful Service

By volsgirl5 |

This is for the location at JFK--sorry, I didn't see that location as having its own page. Terrific service from the two ladies tending bar on January 31. Drinks were great (strong!) and the burger hit the spot. I had a long wait so it wasn't an issue but if you are pressed for time, you may want to order something that is a little quicker. The food only took about twenty minutes but that could be a burden for something that wants fast food. The fella next to me had pulled pork that took less time and smelled delicious.
