incredible!! Don't miss this address , very very good! Quite expensive but the staff is helpful and pleasant. Portions are generous and worth their price

When we entered it looked like a small venue but they took us to a large back room with a round table that seated our party of 8. The table had a lazy Susan center that rotated which made access to all the dishes served fun and easy. We ordered a variety of dishes and shared and everything was very good. There is no doubt that we will return for another visit.

Ok. We’ve all eaten Chinese food….but not like this. Everything was super fresh and there was an explosions of flavor with every bite. I almost don’t want to tell anyone about this place. The spicey fish and pork dumplings were terrific! More food than one person could eat ..bring a friend. Please don’t cause me to me wait next time!

Hits the mark. Great cocktails too. Shumai dumplings were homemade, all the dishes were spectacular. Dark and cozy decor made it a great place to gather on a winter’s night.

We had a mix of dishes shared and it was very very good experience and quality food: real value for money. Definitely on my shortlist in NYC

We had lunch upstairs in a semi private room with a nice round table. It was a Sunday, and our reservation for 12 people was at 1 PM. 30 minutes into our lunch, someone told us we would have to leave at three. No one mentioned that when we were making the reservation and one of our families was stuck in traffic and hadn't arrived yet. Precisely at 3 PM, the waitress appeared to settle the check and they turned the lights out everywhere else on our floor. We got the hint and wrapped things up. They didn't even turn the light back on for us to walk down the stairs. Even though the food was good, we will never go back here.

Looking at the reviews and menu I thought this would be a cozy solo restaurant with great food and I was not disappointed. I ordered a more authentic dish of Ox tongue called Husband and Wife! Excellent Also the Snow Red greener complemented the dish. Great music, comfortable, solo traveler but made conversations with others enjoying an excellent meal.

I went there with a friend for lunch; we ate very, very well, refined Chinese food; the quantities are abundant compared to what we are used to in Italy. The selection of cocktails is equally rich and very particular. I chose a cocktail with tea and I must say very good.

Hunan Sichuan food made to meet American taste (really spicy email). Good quality but we were not strongly impressed.

First night in NYC and found this place on trip advisor. No reservations so we sat at the bar. Absolutely a lovely experience. Bar staff rocked it and took excellent care of us. We had a total of four dishes and four beers and loved it all. Check out the pics of the fantastic and yummy food!!

What a wonderful Chinese restaurant in midtown! It's beautiful inside -- a true joy to experience. We had great service and delicious food. The chicken and mushroom soup dumplings were delicious. I would go back just to eat those. Be sure to make a reservation. It's also close to the theater district, and it was a good place to go before a show.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Blue Willow! We ordered nine dishes for our group of four and requested them to be less spicy, less oily, and made with less salt and MSG. Our servers, Leo and Rebecca, were very attentive and ensured all our requests were perfectly accommodated, allowing us to enjoy our meal comfortably. We ordered the Bamboo Pork but asked for it without the pork, as well as the Chive Flower with Minced Pork—also without pork—and they adjusted both dishes exactly as we wanted. The ambiance was another highlight. Our table was on the second floor by the window, where we enjoyed beautiful weather and a lovely view. The lighting was excellent, making it easy for us to read the menu and place our orders. Rebecca even took ten group pictures for us so we could choose our favorite one. Overall, the experience was fantastic, thanks to the excellent service from Leo and Rebecca. We truly appreciate their attentiveness and professionalism, which made our meal even more enjoyable!

Superb Szechuan food, fast and friendly service. All NYC prices are high but this one was worth it. Highly recommended; make a reservation!

Great spot in mid town the decor and atmosphere was nice. Very interesting drink list. Pork soup dumplings were excellent. Food is a bit on the spicy side. The only thing not so good was the fried rice, it was a bit bland. Wine list was a bit pricey for what was offered.

Service was great , food was awesome. Staff very friendly, Duck was very tasty as well , fried dumplings, spring rolls, pork fried rice. They even make good martinis!!

Amazing spot, really good Chinese food, would one hundred percent recommend. Excellent stuff. The Chengdu spicy wontons are amazing. Go cry about it. It’s excellent. Really good.

What a great place. We have visited this wonderful Chinese restaurant for Christmas Day lunch. Delicious Chinese Classic dishes and more. Great and fast service, Beautiful ambiance.

Service was quick. We dined in about 4pm. Seafood Fry Rice was great and flavorful, best I’ve had in years. General Tso’s Chicken was also great. Crispy outer layer and moist on the inside. Beef spicy noodles was over all good but beef was way over cooked and dry so I couldn’t eat it. Wanton soup also lacked flavor so wasn’t a fan. We were in town for just 3 days but we’re happy we found this place and definitely recommend them.

The Mala Hot Pot is a delicious experience. The Beef, Shrimp, and Tofu Puffs were outstanding Hot Pot ingredients. The other items were also delicious. The cocktails were unusual and outstanding. The service was attentive. The room ambiance is comfortable and a bit "old school".

Very good food and very friendly staff. The price and the portions are good. I can recommend this restaurant to everyone who likes chinese food.

Ok. We’re looking to try new restaurants in midtown. Based on a NY Times article, we tried Blue Willow. We were seated promptly but waited about 10 before our waitress greeted us. We ordered braised pork belly, garlic prawns, sweet and sour spare ribs, golden buns, and tea. The appetizers and main dish all showed up at the same time. The buns never showed up. The shrimp were tasty, but still had most of the shells on which made it awkward to eat. The spare ribs were quite dry and not very good. The pork belly were good, but it was served on a sterno heater which was out of fuel. The tea was good. Overall ok, but not worth a revisit.

A very bland meal. Ordered the Blue Willow Fish, but found the sauce the generic brown glop while the underlying fish was dry and tasteless. Very disappointing given the reviews.
Such a great restaurant
We visited Blue Willow for dinner. The environment is very cool. Everything we ordered tasted amazing. The only average menu item was the shrimp dumplings (sadly). Service was very friendly. I would highly recommend it.
