Best Chicken in the City

By Aaron S |

Great laid back place with the best fried chicken in the city. Never had a bad meal. All the apps are also solid. Small place, friendly staff, beers on tap, great food.

Perfect lunch

By landpilots |

This is a small place with maybe 10 tables. Very nice and clean. We were greeted so nicely as soon as we entered. The fried catfish plate and sandwich were fantastic. Perfectly cooked with a yummy cornmeal crust. Cole slaw was delicious (not heavy...light and just right). Our friend loved the collard greens and chicken tenders. Also enjoyed the banana pudding for dessert. Perfect local place for a delicious bite. Would love to come back to see what's on the menu for supper!

Comfort Food

By LPandHowie |

great chicken and sides. Good wine and beer too! for the price it is hard to beat. There are better in the East Village (Root and Bone) but not at this price

Worth the Trip

By SDK_CAN |

Great chicken sandwiches and friendly staff. Smallish place with a counter bar and half a dozen tables a little out of the way on the East side but worth the trek.

Best fried chicken on the planet !

By Francesco E |

This place has the best chicken on the planet. Went there by a suggestion, we waited few minutes for the table while having a look at the menu. The chicken is extraordinary and they have a lot more. Staff super friendly and smiling. I would love to go back again, as soon as I am back in NYC drop me off there !

Great Place for Chicken and Catfish

By GaryF |

Stayed in NY over Easter and this place was just up the street. First class service and great chicken and catfish, only a small place but food and beer was so good.

Great comfort food in a no frills spot

By Beth Moore |

Made the trek over to Alphabet City to try out this spot. Went with a classic chicken biscuit and it did not disappoint! Made-to-order. Flakey biscuit (and I'm from the south) and delicious fried chicken. I want to go back for their other chicken offerings like the buffalo chicken sandwich!

As an Atlanta native in NY, this is an oasis.

By Michael S |

On a street filled with great restaurants, I have to say this is the best fried chicken in the city. There are better friend chicken sandwiches at cheekies but this is definitely the best pure fried chicken. Have been going for years.

Best fried chicken downtown

By LeeMacL |

Since they closed the branch near me I have been making regular pilgrimages to the east side for fried chicken! I dream about biting into their crispy crust drizzled with some honey, followed by a bite of biscuit and a forkful of coleslaw. Not greasy and juicy tender. Heaven! No complaints, although the cole slaw could use a boost of more mayo/mustard and a bit of sugar! Place is very small but cozy. Staff is friendly and helpful. Worth a trip if you love good fried chicken!

FRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIED CHICKEN!!

By roger712603 |

Restores your faith in humanity, if food can be this good, maybe there is hope for the world. Worth going a bit out of your way, a real New York neighborhood kind of place, lots of locals, you might have to wait, but a fun place, fine food, good beer, and friendly folks helping you out. Go!

Excellent fried chicken

By GregMasters |

Delicious fried chicken in a no-frills but comfortable atmosphere. I was in for lunch and had their special: 3 pieces of chicken with a side and biscuit. Not only was the chicken tasty and moist, but the fries were excellent too. Friendly service added immeasurably to the experience. Inexpensive. Not the healthiest option, but for a treat I'll be back.

Divine fried chicken lunch

By 2014traveller-b |

After reading about Bob White's in the Sydney Morning Herald we had to experience it and we weren't disappointed. The chicken was gorgeous - 3 large pieces crunchy crispy with juicy sweet meat inside accompanied with fresh crispy slaw and biscuit. The side of hand cut fries were delicious too. Highly recommended. I want that chicken in Sydney :)

Still good but not as crispy chicken

By 4alexnyc |

I've been coming for years and yes the quality has dropped over time but it's still a solid choice to get good fried chicken. Probably my big complaint is the breading has become less crunchy over time. Its still delicious but I miss the old breading.

A good place for fried chicken

By Hannes R |

The fried chicken was pretty good, not fantastic, but good. We had take away and the main was 11 dollars. For take away I recomend the beer place next door, and perhaps the wine place next to that. All you need in one spot, perfect.

Good Comfort Food

By CuLaytAh |

Went here twice and had the Fried Chicken Platter and it was delicious. All chicken pieces were juicy and tender, no grease. Also tried their Fried Fish Platter, delicious as well.

How did they get my grandmother's recipe?

By Lynn B |

Best fried chicken I have had in a while! I thought I was eating my grandmother's fried chicken. The biscuts were awesome as well. I am so happy we went here. The mac n cheese has a little kick to it. I personal liked it, but if you don't like spice get a different side. Can't wait to go back here!

My First Visit!

By AJP57 |

My best friend sent me an article that listed the best places in NYC for Fried Chicken so I went to try Bobwhite out. I stayed in midtown and took the subway. It's about a 15 min. walk from the Union Square subway station. I walked right by the restaurant and then thought that it must be a hole in the wall. I found it and it's small and no seating was allowed during the pandemic so I sat outside. The food is very good but I still prefer Pies-N-Thighs in Brooklyn because you get more cluck for your buck. I had a 3-piece dark meat box with mac & cheese, kale salad and a biscuit. It was delicious so I would go back! I'm going to try other places listed in this article upon my return to NYC.

Most delicious fried chicken!

By Marla M |

Perfectly cooked, delicious fried chicken, served with crunchy coleslaw and a tasty biscuit for $10. Bobwhite is a tiny little place with friendly, excellent service and super, well priced food. A gem that won't be hidden long.

I'm from Virginia, and this is the real thing

By cogster |

Friend who lives in this neighb brought me here for dinner, because we both come from the South. BEST fried chicken I've had in about 25 years. I think they put chow-chow in the Black Eyed Peas, which was amazing. Collards cooked to perfection. Biscuit authentic. Only thing I didn't get was sweet tea, which later my friend said was on the menu. If you like Soul Food, authentic southern food, this is really the place. Only minor glitch was our waiter seemed irritable. It wasn't us, I'm sure. But he was cute, and if he had smiled a bit, been a bit warmer and inviting instead of cool and aloof, he would have gotten a really big tip from this erstwhile Southern Gentlemen. I asked my friend how this place could succeed at these very reasonable prices. I hope this little gem of the Loisaida thrives. I'm very appreciative of the authentic flavors, and again, the chicken is the best I've had in so very long. ENJOY!

Excellent!!!

By Diane L |

This is the best fried chicken I ever had! Literally. And the mac n cheese is amazing too. The service is very friendly. The restaurant smells delicious. Not a lot of seating. Be patient. It's worth the wait. I wish I live closer. I would go all the time.

Yum snack

By LAFAMILLEG11231 |

Great lil spot for small simple sandwiches Prices won’t break the bank Service friendly and quick and lots of extra choices

Happy hour fried chicken

By Vhalerie Lee |

Fried chicken and mac and cheese are its go to dishes on the menu. Best to come here early to get seats because the place gets very packed!

Awesome Fried Chicken!

By WhipBKLN |

Bobwhite has been on my list for a while and we finally went for lunch. The fried chicken is great and the mac & cheese is about as good as it gets. It's a cozy spot with a really friendly staff

Great Fried Chicken

By Rodney P |

A friend had heard of this place and as a lover of Fried Chicken I decided to give it a try. Bobwhite's did not disappoint, the chicken and biscuits were great. Very cozy, warm, atmosphere. Menu was small but with good options. Friendly and helpful staff.

Awesome - exactly what it should be

By MUhrblock |

Stopped by here for an early bite on a whim and it was simply fantastic. Great selection of happy hour beer - helpful and friendly servers, oh, and delicious fried chicken. I am not sure how they are staying in business with such great prices but I sure hope they make a go if it - I will be back soon.

Simple but completely delicious!!

By GenaLea |

My son lives nearby and suggested this, his favorite place in the area to eat. I am so glad we followed his advice. It was hands down the best buffalo chicken sandwich I have ever tasted. So flavorful, and the condiments and bun complemented the chicken perfectly. I tried my daughter's mac and cheese and it was amazing. Also, best biscuit I ever tasted. Our server was welcoming, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. He hit just the right notes of helpful but not intrusive. The dining area is small, casual, and simple, but with atmosphere. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Fried chicken moist and tasty

By Danny W |

Small place located in Lower Eastside of Manhattan. It has about 10 stools at the counter and about 3 or 4 tables. The fried chicken is their signature dish and the reason I come here also available are wings and catfish. The chicken is served by weight not by the pieces which to me is the only knock on this place. This time I only had 3 pieces with my fried chicken supper because the breast was huge. Delicious and moist. I had an order of collar greens as well and unsweetened ice tea only because I had to drive back to Westchester. The service is friendly and the place clean. I can also recommend the mac n' cheese and fried onion rings. I keep coming back here and I live in Westchester.

Back again!

By LeeMacL |

I dream about the fried chicken: crispy outside juicy inside. Great biscuit too, so honey and cole slaw and greens and I’m a very happy camper. Only wish ever is that the slaw had a bit more flavor, some bite. But, that said, the chicken RULES! Service is friendly, place is casual and cozy. Not a big place. Don’t expect fancy! Just great chicken!

Great Chicken and Sides in a Friendly Place

By Zebulah |

I'm not sure what unholy thing they are doing to their chicken but it is excellent. We were here with a finicky eater and we had to fight to get our fair share. And the sides are just as good as the chicken. It can be crowded but it is worth it.

Fried chicken heaven

By LeeMacL |

Have been eating at the new branch in the West Village. Near perfect fried juicy ungreasy chicken. Greens are tasty but the biscuits are flat and dense like they didn't rise. Slaw could be fresher. But, the chicken brings me back. Have been back several times already!

Southern fried goodness

By Natalie R |

This place opened up around the corner from me and at first I was a little disappointed that the pizza place that once stood was no longer there. Then I tried the fried chicken and Mac n cheese! Then I was like, "What pizza place?" Fried chicken crispy to perfection and cheesy gooey happiness from their Mac and cheese! Comfort food at it's best! It's a little pricey but you can't put a price on quality these days now can you? If you were looking for cheap hit up the KFC on Union Square.. Can't guarantee it's real chicken!

Must eat samdwich

By NYCleveland |

As a vegetarian there weren't many options on the menu. But the one I had was fantastic: the pimento and collard greens sandwich. It was sweet and salty and creamy and toasty and all around delicious. The fries were a bit soggy but I like that. But who cares when the sandwich is this good!

Kool-aid

By Mitchell Johnson |

This place is not as good as kfc buttttttt in other terms it did have kool-aid on the menu I believe so therefore it cant be that bad of a place. I would recommend coming here especially if you want to get an ice cold kool-aid

When you miss Southern food...

By mikitruax |

I was craving Southern style fried chicken and biscuits like crazy and refused to go to KFC, and during my research, I found this place. The food was actually quite good! I wish they would serve family style like they do in the South so I can have 20 biscuits instead of just 1, but considering it was Manhattan, it was actually quite filling with the 3 pieces of fried chicken, the biscuit and the side, plus an iced tea.

Great comfort food

By Regina W |

Finished NYC marathon and was looking for comfort food. Fried chicken , biscuit and macaroni and cheese fit the bill . Ended meal with banana pudding . Yum!

Fried chicken heaven

By LeeMacL |

My favorite fried chicken downtown. Since they closed the one on 7th Ave. I have to schlep over to the east side for my fried chicken fix. Tender and juicy, this is the crispy chicken goodness I crave! Biscuit and honey, some slaw and I’m a happy camper! Nice folks too but you can’t eat them. Not that I know of anyway!

Just plain delicious

By pegramj |

Seven previous reviews and no one has mentioned the desserts! That had to be the creamiest banana pudding EVER and, of course, it had bits of 'Nilla wafers in it too. My wife had the pecan bread pudding which she raved about. Also no one has commented on the wonderful catfish with remoulade or the excellently seasoned cole slaw -- and the sweet tea is just right --not overwhelmingly sugary. On top of all that, the price is right!! Only 8 barstools and 6 tables for two so you better hurry on down.

Food so good it got me singing to the music!

By cgarmer |

After a day full of shopping it we wanted to go for lunch. Lunch for us was 5pm. Dinner is at 11 in Manhattan (for us at least). I have to say this is the best value in the city. We got the chicken supper and the chicken sandwich with the mac and cheese with one sweet tea and with tip it was $35. This place is fantastic. I cannot think of a better option for today. Please do yourself a favor and put honey on your biscuit. God made biscuits then he made honey. Honey is designed for your biscut! Since we were there early there was no wait. I can foresee that not being the case for much longer. The only thing that made my meal anything but amazing was that fact that I was not aware of their breakfast special that is only available Saturday and Sunday. We went in Sunday evening and are leaving Tuesday. I want to try it soooooooooo bad. This is southern fried chicken. This is not your healthy crap or fast food. It is made to order and is quality. Be patient with the limited seating and want if you happen to experience one. I want to thank the owner of this restaurant. I had a pleasure eating and then paying :). They could charge $2-$4 more per dish and it would still be a bargain.

So good went teice

By Danielprince |

Very tasty chicken little meals at reasonable prices. On both occasions we went the servers were incredibly polite and helpful

I was skeptical at first but I've been converted!

By ManhattanWilliam |

When my food arrived, I thought at first "hmm, seems expensive for what I got" but after eating the food and understanding that quality has a cost, I have to say I am glad I ordered from here and will surely order again. I'm barely 2 blocks away so of course I had to try and everything was just delicious. I'm VERY picky when it comes to fried chicken, it must NOT be overly greasy or TOO heavy but yet crispy and flavorful and their single breast was all these things. I'd say it's the best fried chicken I've had in years. The regular sandwich was excellent, there was a taste of butter in the great roll, the thin pickle was perfect, the chicken itself was perfect, moist, thick white meat, loved it. "Pecan pie" bread pudding was delicious as well. Not a cheap snack but a very delicious one.

Hidden Gem - from the tourist

By wrmomxg |

We were heading to another restaurant and it was closed. So we asked a couple walking on the street and after a moment of deliberation they directed us to the "Bob White". The couple really did think on it before they advised us so we thought it would be good and we were correct. The place is small and we were a group of nine. The sat us and quickly alerted the cook to the "crowd". The food was very good and with nine people selecting a varied lunch not one person said a negative thing about their selection. The service was excellent. Really, if you are down in that area you really should try this place. It is not a tourist location as around 3-4 it got a little crowded and you could tell locals know about it.

Quality fried chicken, but little else to rave about

By mmeola |

The chicken is really flavoursome and delicious, some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. The catfish, biscuits, and sides were OK but nothing particularly special. Small drinks menu. Worth a visit for the chicken alone though.

Friendly staff, good selection

By Jon J Carruthers |

Friendly staff, good selection of beer and drinks. So the food: Fried chicken was good but to me, didn’t knock it out of the park. My wife had the buttermilk buffalo chicken which was tasty but drenched in too much source. Mac n cheese is amazing, chips are a great side and the chicken biscuits are very good. Reminds me of a scone though! Overall worth a visit if you are down that area.

No-Frills Food in the East Village

By craig1086 |

Stopped in to get something quick, after leaving a bar. I got a Buffalo chicken wrap. It was good, but not great. The Nashville chicken sandwich my wife had looked better, and it definitely had more flavor. Prices are great here though. Service is quick and you order at the counter then sit and wait on your order. Be prepared to take your food to go as the sitting area is very small.

Wowza!

By Trotpeg |

If you are a fan of fried chicken and well prepared Southern sides, this is the place for you. My husband and I each had the fried chicken supper and ordered collards and herb grits as sides. My only comment on the sides and the cole slaw is that I felt that they were slightly under seasoned, and could benefit from a touch more salt. No slat on the tables if you want to add more. That aside, the chicken is fried expertly. Ou entire meal plus four excellent beers, came to $50.00 total. Definitely worth seeking out this charming place. We will be back with friends!

No complaints

By Jayden F |

After searching up where to get the best fried chicken in New York, this place kept being mentioned, so I thought I would give it a try on my visit. A bit out of the way from local transport, however, worth the walk. Very welcoming: it was busy, but managed to squeeze me in on a table at the front. Menu: was simple but effective, and aimed to showcase the reason people were there, the fried chicken! Although other options looked good too! Food: order the three piece with biscuit and mac and cheese. The fried chicken was incredible, some of the best I've ever had, and paired well with the honey supplied on the table. Being from the UK I'm glad the biscuit wasn't a custard cream and more a delicious soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside scone like biscuit, and the mac and cheese weren't half bad either! Overall, a very enjoyable dinner (my first on my trip), the price wasn't all too bad either for New York, and was probably worth more than you pay. Would definitely reccomend!

Simply Amazing Fried Chicken & Southern Charm in NYC

By jbliv |

As a Southerner who used to live in NYC and back for a visit, I was so happy to find this gem of a restaurant in the East Village. At first look, I thought I might have stumbled on a pretentious "boutique" restaurant, but when I took a seat at the counter, I soon realized that this was a warm, welcoming little place with a huge helping of Southern charm and class. The only thing I went to Bobwhite for was their highly recommended fried chicken. A simple offering of a breast and two wings, homemade cole slaw and a biscuit was presented on a vintage dinner platter. Perfection on a plate! The only downside for me was the small portion of slaw, but hey, how can one complain about a nearly PERFECT homemade slaw, I just wanted more! I had an iced tea which was brewed to perfection, complementing my southern fare. Thanks, Bobwhite, for bringing NYC a slice of TRUE Southern hospitality!

Fantastic surprise

By Go07499578800 |

What a nice surprise. I love fried chicken and am always skeptical of places that serve it outside the deep south, but was in the city and had read about this tiny little place. I took my chances and ordered at the counter where 4 or 5 New York Public Works gentlemen were waiting on their take away orders. The server was polite and the very gracious chef/owner was in the kitchen. Johnny Cash was singing as I enjoyed the crispy, juicy, perfectly prepared delicacy along with some great black eyed peas.

I Wish the Place Was Bigger

By jochrisvac |

Bobwhite has the very best fried chicken that I have ever had, and I'm a huge fan of fried chicken! My nephew said that the catfish was even better than the chicken. I never had cheddar grits before, but they were great. The Mac N Cheese was okay. It is a small place, so don't be surprised if you have to wait for a table, but it is worth it. We all wanted to try some of the desserts, but we were all too full.

Southern cooking

By LR1 |

I came here with a food blogger for dinner. This place is known for southern cooking, fried chicken, grits, buttermilk biscuits, etc. You order and pay at the cash register then someone brings the food to your table. I got the BBQ chicken sliders, like 3 mini "white castle" type sandwiches on a plate, served face up with a pickle slice on top. Absolutely delicious and flavorful. They serve Boylan sodas in glass bottles and had a pecan pie next to the cash register. The restaurant is new, very clean and bright white. They're coming out with a revised menu soon. I would definitely eat here again, reasonable prices.

So good we ordered extra!

By FlyMeToTheMoon |

What a great little LES spot. I ordered the three piece chicken with Mac n cheese, hubby ordered the chicken tenders with Mac n cheese & we split some collard greens. The chicken and Mac n cheese were so good that when we'd finished we ordered an extra portion of the tenders & mac. Greens were just ok - a bit too much garlic perhaps. Biscuit was melt-in-the-mouth delicious. Very friendly staff, good service, great music. Perfect little spot.

Urban space location

By motherJo |

Came here for a reserved event. And the first thing at the table was bobwhite chicken biscuit. Oh my. The best I ever had. I had to ask which place in this food court had it

Cozy atmosphere, amazing food, friendly staff and never an empty glass!

By PTravelerslife |

I went here on recommendation from a friend. As I was walking there I really hoped it was going to be worth it as it is a little off the beaten path. Turns out it is definitely worth the jaunt and I, in turn, pass on my recommendation to the Trip Advisor world! It's a small place with limited seating, so maybe not the place f you have a large party, but in that case you can get it catered. I especially loved that they had one of my hometown brews on tap. Check this place out!

Would have paid a lot more for this!

By nikkibroadstairs |

The most delicious fried chicken ever! We had chicken, biscuits (delicious), mac n cheese and slaw sides for lunch. The chicken was so tender moist and tasty/ Wish we could get this in the UK. Slaw was beautiful and homemade. Fast friendly service.

nothing special

By abg112070 |

my teenaged nieces & nephew wanted chicken so we tried this place out … chicken was good but nothing that really stood out from other chicken places i’ve tried

Off the hook

By Luisa Q |

Good chicken good food good music good banana pudding.......good NYC does it again. Have to come out and show some love to this place.

Great fried chicken and so much more

By Jayashri K |

This restaurant is known for its great fried chicken BUT it also has excellent other dishes such as macaroni and cheese plus special greens and what is known as a ‘biscuit’. This is actually a delicious scone and it goes really well with the many sauces and side dishes Great value for money too in a family friendly restaurant with a very happy vibe

best fried chicken

By gerritully |

The fried chicken is the best in the city! The people there are so nice - it's a very relaxed, casual atmosphere. I wish they had a few more sides - although the mac n cheese is good, and the collard greens are a truly southern soft delicious mess, I always wish there was something healthy and crunchy.

Pretty good fried chicken

By Kenneth T |

They claim to have the best fried chicken in New York. It's good but not the best. Your chicken supper comes with a biscuit and small cole slaw, their root beer definitely hits the spot with dinner. For sides, we get French fries and Mac n cheese which are always good. The service is good but they can be understaffed and seem rude but I'd definitely come back if I were in the neighborhood.

Highly Recommended By Locals and Exceeded Expectations

By Philip O |

My friends live a block away from this place. They call, asking for a reservation at least once a month. When we made a reservation, we left our phone number and told them we were going next door for a drink while waiting. 20 minutes later, the host came into the bar we were in and let us know he was trying to call us - our table was ready. It was really great to see this type of service, especially in a city where it could've been easier and less hassle just to move onto the next name in on the reservation list. The food was amazing. Mix the hot sauce with the honey and dig in.

Just like home in the South

By Brent A |

Had a wonderful meal of Fried Chicken and grits. A friend missing home took me here. The food here is very good especially for the price. It was a very hot summer night when we came in and there were only 2 seats at the bar. When we finished eating there was already someone else waiting for our seats. The service here is also very good. Will go back if I am in need of some "country" when back in the city.

Excellent Fried Chicken

By Vahid R |

Bob White Lunch and Supper Counter !!! Poultry purveyor Bobwhite Lunch and Supper counter is worth your fried chicken journey in New York. Don't be confused by the name though, Bobwhite is a type of bird from Virginia. Which is also where the owner Keedick Coulter was raised. We arrived at lunch and got the 3 pieces of chicken with a biscuit and slaw. The chicken had almost no grease, was moist and the shell had a nice crunch. I tasted a sweetness and got curious about it so after a call back to the restaurant I was told that they brine their chicken overnight in sweet tea. Southern fried chicken tastes great here and I urge you to stop by and try it for yourself. These guys on youtube did a video review of this place. Just search it by searching Devour NYC Top 5 Fried Chicken.

Yummy fried chicken, very rich mac & cheese and friendly service

By Aly S |

On the lookout for some Southern comfort food, we landed here. We were lucky to secure a bar seat at the window with no wait time. At 4pm it was already bustling with clearly a lot of locals. The service was very friendly - lots of smiles and the fried chicken was very crunchy. Tasted like mum's home fried chicken. My husband was in love! And the Mac and Cheese - now that's a dish that will give you a heart attack! It was seriously the richest M&C I have had in my entire life - delicious in very small portions. It would have been 5 star if the coffee wasn't lukewarm and if the coleslaw wasn't so average but definitely worth visiting and it's a good value feed.

Awesome food & Top Service!

By Ben D |

Had the buffalo chicken sandwich and fries. Was so so good. The server Andrew was really nice and so helpful (even gave a wine that isn't on the menu).

Best Fried Chicken and Biscuits

By KarolNewYorkCity |

An East Village treasure -- and survivor of Hurricane Sandy. Eat-in is small but totally charming; take-out/delivery equally good. Best so far is the fried chicken, biscuits, mac and cheese, and pinto beans. If you're visiting NYC and want a great experience of the East Village's finest, try the fried chicken meal at Bobwhite.

Dang good southern food

By wbh9 |

This little diner on C street isn't super easy to get to, but definitely worth the trip. They're known for the fried chicken supper, and it lives up to the billing. We also had the pork chop sandwich and chicken sandwich, both were sublime. Wash it down with one of their beers on tap, or a cocktail or two. They have good desserts too, you may not have room but try them anyway. I had the banana pudding, yum. Friendly, attentive service, too.

Say it Ain't So...

By Trotpeg |

Bobwhite was our favorite southern fried chicken restaurant in Manhattan, but things seen to have changed. Not only have they removed the grits from the menu, but the collards were dry and the mac and cheese underseasoned. Biscuit and fried chicken are still very good. The grits were among the best I've ever had, so it mystifies me why they would remove this high profit item from the menu. We'll be searching out an alternative fried chicken spot...

Best fried chicken ever!

By Bailey S |

Stopped by for Fried Chicken on a hot July day. It was amazing. Best ever! The portion was large, the staff was super friendly. What a fun place!

Perfectly Southern

By Sabcfamily |

A very small but stylish East Village find serving the best friend chicken I have ever tasted. We ate at the counter on a busy Sunday night and had the excellent value Fried Chicken Supper (11.50!). Friendly service - good vibe - beer on tap.... we'd go again.

Yummy, delicious and moist fried chicken!

By NYCtraveler3410 |

I came here because a friend lives in the neighborhood. She had been raving about the fried chicken for the past 6 months. I finally was able to go last week and I had the fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich was extremely juicy and very tasty! However, the fries were a bit too crispy/crunchy for me. My friend had the fried chicken supper dish. Came with 3 boned-chicken pieces and a biscuit. He gave me half his biscuit and it was delicious! I highly recommend Bobwhites!

Soooooo goooood

By Kims1979 |

Best fried chicken I've ever had in my life! Since I'm Asian I always go for dark meat vs white and their chicken is perfectly cooked not dry at all and oh so juicy and the skin! Omigahd
