We were looking for a quick (but good) meal before our Broadway show. The restaurant was in our hotel so we decided to give it a try... we were not disappointed! It was surprisingly busy fairly early on that Friday evening; we were given the option of sitting at a communal table which worked out beautifully. Food was delicious, service was fantastic and the atmosphere was lively.

The food is outstanding. The service is quite good. The hummus is the most amazing hummus we have ever had - no exaggeration.

If you're not a fan of fries and burgers etc - then this is a really delicious restaurant. So good in fact that my daughter and I went 2 out of our 4 nights in New York. Our first night we sat at a kitchen table which was fantastic - theatre of a different style and just as good as a Broadway show! Flaming gambas on the hotplate, lamb pinchos on the grill, pulpo legs ..... all mouth watering viewing and smells to match. We were a little over whelmed so our extremely nice server suggested the prawns and garlic to go with our pan con tomato and lamb pinchos and a lovely salad of fennel and grapefruit - which was really refreshing. No room and too tired for pudding - but we made up for it on our second visit by making a point of not eating lunch.... so this time we had the meatballs, skate wings, pan con tomato, sprouts with chorizo (not a success with my daughter but yummy for me) and lovely salt cod deep fried bites and then to finish the most delicious pudding of turron cake and ice cream. We left very happy if a little heavier (no worries in New York though... you can walk it all off in a morning!!). Fantastic, lively, really lovely staff and well thought out delicious food.

We were able to squeeze in right away on Friday evening. The drinks were good and the food quite tasty. Not cheap, but not TOO pricey. Very attentive wait staff. Five of us and we enjoyed our experience there.

There's always a line but the tapas menu is addicting. I'm not white fan if sangria but that's good too. Atmosphere is great too. It feels like an escape.

Popped in after walking past a couple of times. Shame it was lunchtime and didn't fancy a drink as the wine looked great. We had tonnes of food! Son and OH starting so had Eggs Benedict to start followed by loads of small plates - pardon peppers always a must, great chilli garlic prawns, good bread and fantastic croquettes - throughly recommend it!

All the food was delicious! The garlic shrimp, grilled octopus, white anchovies, Serrano ham, the sauces, the breads, the wines, wow! Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff. It was a perfect lunch.

Can't say enough about the incredible service. Pulling out our chairs, filling our drinks and water glasses at the perfect times, giving us space as we chatted but watched our body language knowing when we ready to order or ready to leave. Quail egg appetizer and lamb meatballs were nice size for sharing so you can try different dishes. THANK YOU!

Great spot for brunch. A little expensive but you get a lot for the price. The food is really authentic and reminded me of when I was in Spain. Great service and the decor was really cute. The doors were open so it felt like we were outside but it was still really cool inside

Excellent food, great service, variety is Spanish from Spain foods and tapas, do not forget the churros with chocolate for desert

Had a fantastic evening meal with friends, thoroughly enjoyed the food and drink. Have to apologise to the lovely waitress for winding her up all night :) Boqueria have an excellent menu which is reasonably priced. The food was expertly presented and prepared, would definately visit again.

Just excellent food, everything is exquisite. Very fresh and delicious. Wine and sangria were excellent . Offers a big choice to choose from the menu. The service we got was exceptional, friendly and welcoming. Congratulations to all. Will definitely come again! Highly recommended.

I can’t say enough good things about my husband’s and my experience here. The worst part was walking out the door when it was over, back into the hellish NYC. It was like being ripped out of a pleasant dream and finding yourself sleeping in a dirty puddle. I digress. The meat and cheese plate was by far the best one we’ve ever had. Keep in mind - we are quite bumpkinish by NYC standards. We drove our Texas edition Suburban to NYC. We apparently know nothing at all. 😂 The shishitos were almost as good as the ones my husband makes at home, and that’s saying something. The tempura green beans were outstanding. The aioli alone was worth writing a review about. The fried potatoes, again, very good. My non-alcoholic carrot juice beverage was worth every penny. I doubt I’ll ever punish myself with a trip to this city again, but if fate were to make it so, I’d seek out this little gem of a restaurant in a heart beat. Great atmosphere. Great waiter. It’s loud and crowded, but so is everything we experienced in NYC.

We found Boqueria by accident while walking around the neighborhood looking for a place to eat. The decor drew us in as did the moderately priced menu. We were a group of four so we decided to share the dishes. We tried the skewered lamb, pan fried potatoes, squid, octopus and spinach with chick peas. The blending of flavor and the subtle taste surprises were a real treat. They even have our favorite beer Captain Lawrence on tap. For dessert we had the rice pudding, filbert cake and the creamy ricotta dish. Each one was delicious my favorite was the cake. My husband thought the rice pudding exceptional. It was all delicious. The wait staff was knowledgable, helpful and attentive. We can't wait to go back.

Very good tapas. Small, busy - but absolutely worth a visit. Enjoyed a lunch there. Recomend the daidles with bacon

Asked for my pastry not to be powdered with confectioner's sugar. Guess how it came? Coffees came with no sugar box or creamer. Server disappeared. I had to stand to get the sugar and creamer from another table. To be fair, the manager apologized about it. Seems like our server was a noob. In which case, train him first.

The crispy brussel sprouts are worth going for. The grilled flatbread with porcini puree and caramelized onions is also quite memorable.

This is a small chain and we went to the one in Chelsea. The tapas were really delicious - although the manchega was barely visible! The bar had a really good buzzy atmosphere. Only complaint - the wine is ridiculously expensive.

We popped in for a drink and ended up staying. I love it when that happens. We were lured in by the good Spanish wine list, some real regional favorites of ours that go beyond the Rioja's. Tapas are served with a twist; authentic yet contemporary. Great and passionate bartender too.

I went to this place with low expectations! I could not have been more wrong! THIS PLACE ROCKS! Put this one in the must experience category!!!

Food was very good. I loved their paella. Drinks are good to. Pricing was also decent. Over all a very satisfactory experience.

Came here with a large group of 11, and were seated in the middle of the restaurant. Because it was valentines day the place was full of couples and we had to have the set menu. For the price, there was HARDLY any food, and in my experience in NYC the tasting menus are usually very generous. I would go here again with one or two people and order off the menu, but would not recommend for groups!

One of the best things about tapas is you get to taste a little bit of everything, which I just adore:) And Boqueria definitely does not disappoint, every single dish was of great flavour and interesting combinations. Great place to go, recommend it;)

You must eat here if in you're Manhattan! The food was exceptional, the staff were fantastic and very friendly and the atmosphere was laid back. Perfect for friends and couples alike. The cocktails were delicious too!

One word describes this place .Amazing the food is exceptional and every tapa I tried was better then the next .Heard about this hidden gem from a friend and it was so worth the visit so if your looking for great quality and amazing food stop by

Stopped in for some tapas today and was pleased with the quality of the dishes served. The pulpo is particularly delicious. Things were busy and the wait staff seems to work as a (disjointed) team rather than focus on good service. The food is worth it.

Stepping in from a humble exterior, the restaurant staff were courteous explaining how tapas works. Our waitress attended promptly to our concerns regarding another diner in a very professional manner. We chose four tapas between two which was enough for lunch. Each dish was full of taste and texture supplemented by the accompanying red wine. The churros and coffee cortado at the end made this a truly authentic Spanish moment in Manhattan.

Enjoyed multiple flavors. Great service and enjoyed everything we tried. I recommend starting off with 3 selections and move on from there. Go early.

Booked ahead, as recommended in a previous review. Staff were very welcoming and very attentive. Food was served quickly and was beautifully prepared and presented. Great selection of dishes to choose from, and the staff were more than happy to recommend if required. Would definitely recommend for food. The only downside for me was the wine selection, I am a red wine drinker and the cheapest bottle of red wine was over $40.00 - the wine they recommended for me was $75.00, I did go with their recommendation as it was a special meal for my husband and myself, and have to say it was amazing! but would have liked cheaper options. Great restaurant, great food, great atmosphere - would definitely recommend for food. Not the cheapest - but very nice for a special meal.

The food here is great (esp the sandine on toast when they have it). The squid is also good. Other than that I just pick what I am in the mood for. The Sangria is usually good. My only issue with this place is the crowding so go early.

Two of my party loved the food while the other two were not as sold. If you want to try out-of-the-box type foods, Boqueria is for you. I loved their bacon-wrapped dates, grilled octopus and croquettes. They also have a nice cheese and olive tray with crusty bread. It's a good place to have a European eating experience.

We did a Google search for tapas restaurants within walking distance of our hotel and found this one in the Flatiron District. We got a table around 6 pm on a Friday and by 7 pm the place was packed with young people. We each ordered the blackberry sangria special, and then albondigas (lamb meatballs), Murcia , Patatas Bravas (potatoes), ensalade remolacha (salad), mixed croquetas (creamy cheese and creamy Serrano ham). We could have ordered just four tapas instead of five and then ordered the churros con chocolate (fried dough) but we were full. I did not like the taste of my blackberry sangria so the server replaced it with no charge with a regular red sangria. I recall the sangria in Barcelona, Spain with a different taste and understand that everyone makes sangria differently. I don't think I like the ones made with club soda. The bill without tip was $86.00.

The best spanish restaurant in town. Boquerones, olives, squid, tortillas everything was perfect. Spanish beer was very also. Reservation. Don’t forget to make.

This was the first dinner we had in NYC - the food was delicious and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is cozy - they have a lot of large booths and low lighting and the restaurant itself is kind of narrow and small - it felt like a favorite of local New Yorkers.

Still pretty decent, however the portions are very small and nothing compared to Spanish portions. Prices are pretty high too, at least relative to the small portions. The menu is relatively interesting, so I'd go back in any case. The 8-9 shrimp we got were very good, the pimientos de padron were great too (portion was so small that it felt like they were pre/eaten by someone). The dessert was impressive and so was the duck from the specials. The tiny small croquetas were also very good.

Stopped by Boqueria for a going away meet up. We tried a number of tapas: shrimp in oil with garlic, paella, serrano ham, romaine hearts. Flavors were good, dishes were served hot, and the staff was attentive. There's a bar where you can drop in and sit. As expected, you won't be seated for a reservation unless your entire party is present. Nice drinks as well. Would go back again!

You're my friend suggested that we have tapas in Midtown I'm skeptical but this place was a welcome surprise. The for the staff are incredible The menu is small but every offering is a real treat the pallet

We love the Tapas. The food is authentic and well-made. Boqueria is great for lunch, brunch and dinner. The bar menu and varieties of Sangria is excellent.

Chicken. Seriously the best chicken. SO SO Good. And I eat lots of chicken. LOTS of chicken. I love chicken and THIS place's chicken is amazing. Yes, they have other food...but the chicken. So good.

The peppers are to die for! Came across this place while wandering round Soho. It's large inside, deceptive from the outside. Great tapas menu and it was buzzy. We enjoyed lamb on skewers, peppers, aubergine salad with toasted flat breads and mojitos (grapefruit with Campari was different!) Waiter couldn't have been nicer but it was expensive for a quick bite...$90!!!! The pound is just terrible against the dollar unfortunately...

My wife and I stopped here before going out to a show based on a recommendation. The place was very relaxing and causal. he tapas where awesome. We loved the variety of tapas offered. the Pimientos de Padrón and the Patatas Bravas where delicious and that was just 2 of the 8 different dishes we tried. Definitely stop in if you are in the area.

On Memorial Day Sunday we went to the newest Boqueria in Midtown West The decor is sleek, modern and warm And the food was just great There was a prix fixe brunch with plenty of options We had 4tapas I love their pan con tomato and ham,the patatas bravas, and their vegetables We took as main course the shrimps and it was delicious No dessert for us but we finished with 2 expressos We The mimosas with their free refills we’re excellent

No reservations , we showed up right before the crowds. Our kids are picky eater so we fed them before going here just in case. We only ask that they try tasting new things which they did. We are a bit adventurous when it comes to food so we had a tasting of almost the entire menu. Every plate was excellent. The kids stayed busy drawing and we were able to enjoy a nice dinner and wine. Our server turns out was from Florida and she was very attentive and provided great service. The place was crowded so thankfully the kids behaved and we had an amazing dinner while visiting NYC. If you love Spanish food this is as authentic as it gets!

We were in SoHo and looking for a quick bite and not out of the way. We came across this tapas bar, from the outside it looked dingy but when we went in it was very modern. Service was good and just what we wanted! If you go I suggest for you to get a bottle of beer rather than a "caña" it's only one dollar more but it is worth it, the bottle was colder than the draft and you got 2 ounces more of beer.

Octopus and torta del dia were excellent. Noise level on weekday dinner was intollerable unless you are a 20 something and do not mind it. High bar stools very uncomfortable.

We came here twice during our stay in the US, mostly for the delicious food but also for the atmosphere and service. We chose the tapas experience from the menu which gives you a taster of the restaurants best dishes. WWE found the quality and selection of food great and the jug of sangria tasty too! I’d highly recommend this place for good casual dining in a great neighbourhood

This a great restaurant in Soho on Spring st near Sullivan. I love tapas and these met my expectations. They are very traditional and in the Spanish tradition. The wines and pairings are great with the staff being very knowledgeable. Even sitting at the bar works just fine

What's not to like! We didn't get to try everything but what we did was excellent. Well priced, had to wait even though it was a Monday night, and the desserts are fab (esp arroz con ledge). Only downside was it was too noisy. Would defo recommend this chain and this bar.

Service is great! Food is excellent! Drinks are yummy! Churros are perfection! Haven't tried one thing on the menu that I didn't enjoy.

Came for lunch but would love to try the tapas menu. Had a quick lunch with colleagues in the break of full day work shop. Had a sandwich and was pleasantly surprised - it was really really good. Served with potato bravas that were good but maybe too blackened for my taste. Still overall very good lunch.

Good tapas on the whole. Some nice dishes including the classics which were done well. Wasn't so convinced about the boquerones on toast with some sort of creamed cheese and tomato. The guy said not many people order them as they think they're too strongly flavoured- maybe why they toned it down. Just on their own would be better. The dates wrapped in bacon were very special.

Space - 0 stars -They try to fit as many tables as possible so seating is extremely tight and uncomfortable. Food - 2 stars - we are party of 5 and did the $45 prefix. It consist of tapas and paella at the end. The tapas was meh. Lots of potatoes. Paella is greasy and dried. Dessert was a joke. Consist of 1 small churros per person. Service - not spectacular. They didnt come to ask how our food was. Our meals was distracted by the host coming to ask our friend to shift her chair sideways because the space was tight. Excuse me? then the light went out above our table. AGAIN, they ask 2 of our friends to get up so they can change light bulb WHAT? Definitely won't be coming back.

Excellent Tapas in a lively and warm New York venue. Great team service and sangria. The bacon wrapped dates are amazing as is the lamb.

Great vibe, good food, good wine but OMG those camorones al ajillo are to die for... gotta have them!!!

Perhaps I just had a bad experience, but this is how statistical reviews work. The seating was very tight. I have a 32in waist and I had to move the table to get to my seat. It was painful watching a heavier person across the restaurant attempt to get seated. It was 35 degrees outside and I had to flag the waiter to ask for water. He brought us warm tap water with no ice, I had to request ice for the water. There are a fair number of options available on the menu so my partner and I were looking through. The second time he came arround to ask if we were ready, he felt the need to explain the whole menu to us (which is normally fine, but we felt he was pushy about it) then asked us to pick something. And we just asked for another minute. We picked a couple things to start and see was the food was like (at ~$15 a dish I didn't want to get too invested) After ordering he said "is that it? These are tapas, you're supposed to order more than that." So feeling caught of guard and uncomfortable, we ordered another dish. The food was mediocre at best. I was disappointed in the lamb skewers as I've done a better job on in my own kitchen. I also wasn't happy with the shrimp. It was literally just shrimp with some slightly garlic and pepper oil. At 16$ I didn't expect a $1 worth of shrimp with a little garlic red pepper oil on it. The mushroom dish was good so that's the second star, but at this point I didn't want to order anything else. We just paid for our meal and left.

An excellent selection of tapas for a variety of tastes. Attractive decor. I like the high tables with high seats. Energetic atmosphere, so not a spot for a quiet conversation.

We were right on time for happy hour and discovered they have a great menu and food was great. Loved the Albondigas (meat balls) and tortillas. Good wine too.

Stopped here for a quick solo lunch while shopping. Tried the blackberry sangria which was yummy. Then had the squid n chips (their take on fish and chips) with alioli and the lamb skewers from the tapas menu. It was yummy!

We were looking for a home cooked Spanish meal and came across this very up-beat beautiful restaurant in the Times Square area. The service was excellent and the food was delicious.( small portions ) Not only did we eat well but the atmosphere was so New York. Just what you would expect when dinning out in the Big Apple. Expensive but worth it. The bar looked very inviting, seating was comfortable and the music was just right.

I highly recommend Boqueria if you are in the mood for Spanish tapas. There are two locations in New York City: SOHO and 19th Street. The food is delicious: especially the various types of jamon, the shrimp, the croquettes, and the patatas bravas. The atmosphere is casual and fun. We are usually the oldest people in the restaurant. We have eaten here about 40 times since its opening and have always found it to be delightful. As long-time New Yorkers with too many food options, this is a keeper in our eating-out destinations. Try it; think you will enjoy it.

With the able assistance of our knowledgeable waiter we had the opportunity to devour the most wonderful tapas anywhere......including Barcelona! Best items were the Spanih tortilla, the mushroom croquettes, the Brussels sprouts((really) and lamb skewers. The flatbread with cheeses also lovely. The creme carmel for dessert finished everything off on a soft, sweet note.......yum. Great wine list.

Things are a bit of a challenge as I am in a wheelchair. The hostess did not bat an eye when I arrived. With the help of a busboy, the two of them wrestled a ramp out of the basement and set it up over the three steps which made it easy for me to enter the restaurant. I fit easily under a tall table and joined my wife and two friends for a wonderful tapas dinner. Dishes arrived in a well staggered fashion. Chorizo; peppers, nicely accented with sea salt, were a nice first round. dates wrapped in bacon were delicious. Shrimp in garlic sauce… Lamb meatballs in tomato sauce… Garlic potatoes all hit the spot. The octopus was perfectly grilled. pork belly was a perfect finishing touch.

The Spanish omelette was a hit The squids grilled to perfection. But the potatoes were rather spicy Service was prompt and courteous

We got there around 5 pm and enjoyed all the tapas , wine and beer. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly ... Great service. Make reservations..

My wife and I (baby boomers) and our son and daughter-in-law (millennials) had a wonderfully entertaining dinner. The food is generally Spanish.Te atmosphere is casual (but nice), warm, with stylish natural wood tables and wall accents. Mostly a younger crowd. We selected a variety of tapas to get things started (Romana, Escalivada, Salteado de Setas). We enjoyed some wine and mixed drinks while we waited on our first tapas. The selection of wine was good, but not great. It was a little awkward when one small dished arrived by itself quite a bit earlier than the others, but the pace started to pick up and we finally decide on some additional dishes ( Albondigas, Acetunas Alinades, Patatas Bravad, Fideua Negre, Carne a la Plancha, and Paella fir two). Soon we had a flow of dishes that were fresh, flavorful, nicely seasoned (but not too spicy) and well presented. We finished the evening with some refreshing Churros and Nutella. The experience is very festive, yet relaxing. We may have had a tad too much food, but we enjoyed tasting the variety.

Only open one month and this bar/tapas is looking and feeling really good. Great food and delightful service geeted us on a busy brunch Saturday. Can't wait to taste the normal menu. Drinks and food both reasonably priced. Great atmosphere, we will be back
Nice tapas
Try tapas with sangria!! Vegan friendly, good service and nice place for family, couples or friends.
