Jenny and James were phenomenal. The food was unbelievable and the wine was on point. If you don’t stop here for a rib cap shame on you!!

We went to Essex house for afternoon drinks at the bar and it was perfect! Get an appie or share a burger but make sure to get a cocktail! Best negroni and old fashioned we’ve had so far in NY. The vibe is upscale but not snooty and quiet just like we wanted!

Food is outstanding . Very rare that a hotel restaurant is this good . . Everything on their menu was delicious. I could eat there everyday and staying in hotel i almost did .

John and Cris are absolutely amazing, the best team, delivering top of the line service from the cocktails to the dessert. I would highly recommend the restaurant for the food alone, but their exceptional service truly elevated the entire experience.

Dinner with friends in NY… reservation is a must…located in a Marriott across from Central Park south… a nice bar to wait until the table is ready…comprehensive menu and wine list…very professional service, excellent… good Bandol rose… not yet ready for the red in October… shrimp cocktail, very nice, fillet mignon medium perfectly cooked accompanied by some asparagus, also perfect… and asparagus is a challenge for any chef… hard choice for desserts, the cheesecake a wow, super smooth… we had to walk a lot after the dinner but good vibes, nice music, excellent atmosphere…

Jenny and Daniel made our special dinner in NYC something to remember. From how they described the menu, to pointing out the popular favorites, we were able to have a fabulous dining experience. We were celebrating our daughter’s birthday, and though we were full from the meal and could not fit in dessert , our daughter was surprised with a mini dessert and a candle to blowout. Visited the restaurant on our first nights stay in the hotel after our engagement during the day. JENNY & CHRISTIAN made the most memorable day even more amazing, They were so kind, genuine & thoughtful, they pulled out all the stops, made us feel so special and like it was no effort at all. The food was absolutely incredible and their food suggestions were great. Some of the best food and by far the best dining experience we have had.

We had a very good meal! The porterhouse was well prepared and good quality. Creamed spinach and crispy onion rings were good. The cocktails although served in the smallest size coup style glass were also well made, with a good by the glass wine selection. Desert was underwhelming. The trio of French fry with 3 dipping sauces was tasty and a nice whimsical treat. The service was great and the redone space a good improvement.

We had the Prixe Fixe dinner because we were going to see Hamilton. We were celebrating my spouse’s birthday. I was hesitant about getting the wine pairing because I don’t know much about wine however, our servers (Jennie and Reese) did a great job explaining it to us and it paired very well. We also enjoyed the fries instead of bread. Let’s just say not your regular ole fries-delicious.

This place is nice inside. It’s right across from the park. The shrimp were good not great. I had the rib cap which was pretty great. The server was pretty nice.

We loved our experience. First off, the place was a delight to be in. John and Marcela were our servers, and they were both so informative, helpful, and prompt with everything. Our food was absolutely amazing. The steak was tender and delicious, the shrimp was cooked to perfection, and it was so perfectly capped by the desert beignet tower.

My wife, daughter and I had the pleasure of dining at your NYC location tonight. My daughter has Celiac disease and a very extreme case at that. Our waiters, Jorge and Mark, were extremely knowledgeable regarding the options available for her and very patient making her feel comfortable. We had been meaning to dine here for quite a while, and were really impressed with the food, service, and atmosphere. We were greeted by Beatrice, who was friendly and welcoming. I wasn’t very hungry, so I just ordered a side, but my husband loved his appetizers, steak, and sides. He remarked that the filet was perfectly cooked, cut, and plated. We will definitely be back and hope to see our terrific servers, John and Cris, again. Both John and Cris stayed on top of things without hovering or rushing us, and they were pleasant and attentive.

Beautiful place, friendly staff, impeccable Service and dishes above expectations, with an amuse-bouche with three different types of French fries with their respective sauces. The only strongly negative notes are the noise throughout the room bel sl above a tolerable level for a place of this lineage and a waitress with long loose hair that almost fell into the plates: in the dining room the hair should always be kept up (bun, ponytail or braid are fine).

The spot is really beautiful and the waiters are really nice as the wait time for the food which is really short wait time. So in conclusion me and my family had a great time

Excellent dinner with wonderful service. This is our second time to this location and we really enjoyed the whole vibe. The food was excellent. We enjoyed the Michael Amina Ahi Tuna tartar and the Lobster Pot Pie. The steaks are also excellent. The whole ambiance at the restaurant is really great with beautiful greenery mixed in. Service was incredible. They were on top of everything and could not have been friendlier. We will be back again soon!

We had a lovely family birthday dinner at Bourbon Steak. The cocktails and wine list were excellent and the steak was perfectly cooked. We felt very taken care of by the service team - Jenny & Christian in particular - who insisted I tried red wines until I found the one that was my taste and who brought us some lovely extras. The restaurant has a luxury atmosphere but still made our 7 year old feel very welcome. We all walked away wanting to make Bourbon Steak our family's go to special occasion restaurant.

Every year, my friend and I participate in restaurant week. I saw Bourbon Steak on the list and made a reservation and boy was I not wrong with my choice. The ambience was nice and cozy our two waiters Christian and John were spectacular. The food was divine and the drinks were delicious and let’s not forget the warm beignets with chocolate mousse yum-o. I highly recommend and I will definitely be returning. Next time I’ll bring my mom for her upcoming birthday. FYI, if you go do yourself a favor and order their mashed potatoes, it is to die for.

The physical space, the ambiance, the staff, the food, and even the drinks all added up to an amazing night! I had the filet mignon with the horseradish crust with a side of roasted mushrooms and a Fire Walk With Me cocktail. I was so surprised at how much space there was inside and how easy it was to navigate with my wheelchair. The staff, James and Jenny, were friendly, attentive, and were able to answer all of our questions. I can't wait to visit again!!

I reserved with a note that my friend would be in a wheelchair. When we arrived, our table was ready in an easily accessible area. Our servers, Jenny and James were outstanding! Saw to our needs, yet didn’t hover, so pleasant and fun! On to the food….. oh my! Best French onion soup I have ever had! Hands down! We each ordered the Wagyu filet and it was so tender and perfectly seasoned. Onion rings - perfect! And don’t miss the desert. What a treat! We will definitely be back.

First and definitely not the last time going to Bourbon Steak! I got the 20oz ribeye and the creamed spinach pop tart, they were absolutely delicious! The cream spinach pop tart was super fresh and tasty and flaky. I love spinach and I definitely feel like it had the perfect amount inside. My steak was perfectly cooked at medium rare as I requested. The steak was juicy and tender and exactly what my taste buds were wanting. I recommend the “Royal Scam” cocktail, it wasn’t too sweet and was really well made; kudos to the bartender. To top it all off our server John was really wonderful and I definitely would come back because of his attentive service. Overall I would definitely recommend Bourbon Steak for a wonderful evening with great food and great service,

Group of 12 or so. When in a steak place of course order steak. 20 ounce rib on the bone was terrific. Full of flavour. Sides such as creamed spinach , complimentary fries,mushrooms etc were good. Massive wine list - not many bargains on there mind you. Beautiful space humming on a Thursday night.

The ambience at Bourbon Steakhouse is beautiful. Various smaller corners, in between plants and elegant “partitions” that significantly reduce the noise level. Our table request was fulfilled. Thanks for that. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the service all evening. Our waiter was rather cool and not attentive. Also, the basic service for this price range was poor. In addition to always paying little attention, the wine was also only refilled on demand. Overall unacceptable to us. The onion soup for the starter didn't quite meet our tastes and the fries the restaurant complimentary served at the beginning were rather lax/weak for a steakhouse - though a nice idea. Our beef fillets for the main course, on the other hand, were incredibly tasty and perfectly prepared. The side dishes were very good and the mashed potatoes in particular were great. For a dessert it was unfortunately not enough anymore, we were so satisfied. In summary: Great ambience with mostly delicious food, but on our day with very weak service. It's a shame.

There were empty tables but we were seated next to the serving station. When we objected, we were moved to the next table. Many nice servers but our service wasn’t good. Drinks took forever. Alert…no need to order appetizers. Instead of bread you’re served a trio of yummy French fries with a trio of sauces. Our steaks were good but nothing special.

They weren’t just attentive, they were genuine—checking in at the right times, making sure everything was perfect without ever feeling rushed or overbearing. Their recommendations were spot on, and they brought such a friendly, personable energy that it elevated the entire dinner. And of course, the food… wow. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection—juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Every bite reminded me why a great steakhouse is hard to beat. The sides were equally impressive, rich but balanced, and everything was beautifully presented. Between the phenomenal food and the outstanding service from Desirare and Jenny, this is easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I’ll definitely be coming back—and next time, I’ll be asking for their section again.

The scallops wrapped in bacon were phenomenal, and the pasta with white and black truffle was absolutely heavenly. Our servers, Jenny and Jorge, were professional, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable. A special thank you to the manager, Emily, who checked on us with such kindness and a beautiful smile. She also recommended an excellent Pinot Noir that paired perfectly with the meal and even suggested a wonderful piano bar to end the evening. Flawless food, exceptional service, and a truly memorable night. Highly recommend!

This restaurant was really a once in a lifetime experience, and one you must consider visiting. My favorite thing about this restaurant though was the waiters, because I have never seen such dedicated, friendly, attentive, and professional waiters in my life. My waiters names were John and Cris, and if you get them; trust them, because they convinced me to get food I would never try, food that happened to be absolutely amazing. Their service was amazing, giving great advice, and helping with every last thing. They would help serve food, push your chair in, fully clean your table off several times, and do everything to make you feel like you’re dining as a king or queen. And to top everything off, the food was absolutely amazing, it was the best steak in all of NYC, and the MICHAEL MINA'S BANANA TARTE TATIN was the best dessert I’ve ever had. One way or another this restaurant is amazing, and truly deserves a 5 star rating. The only thing I could ever say that would make you think twice about this restaurant is the price. It’s amazing food, at a steep price, something that can’t be argued with; and in my opinion, it’s worth the price. So, f you’re ready to experience luxury dining at its finest, then please, look no further than Bourbon Steak by Micheal Mina.

The bourbon steak house has wonderful food it might make you drool. The servers at bourbon stake house are jaw dropping from how great they are especially Jorge. Jorge has a special talent to welcoming people, because with my experience at this restaurant he made me and my family feel so welcomed in this restaurant. Came here on a date to celebrate my birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Jenny and Aldo served us with timelines an respect, offering suggestions and good company. The food was fabulous showcasing the professionalism that attention to detail that you would expect from a high-end steakhouse. The restaurant itself is located in a very happening part of town, with Central Park being right across the street and most broadway shows being a quick walk, bus, or subway ride away.

Me and my boyfriend had made dinner reservation's the day of us getting to the Essex House for 5:45. We had a show at 8pm and the hostess’s were the sweetest girls, they had helped us plan out our dinner time and how long the walk would be. Jenny and Mark were are servers and they were absolutely AMAZING. They took great care of us and accommodated to me because of my celiac and made sure we left at 7:30pm to get to our show on time. The resturant itself is so beautiful. The drinks were incredible we had ordered the Bloody Mary, the old fashion, the best M.I.M and the sour flower. The food was evenly brought out throughout our experience, which was so nice. The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD, we ordered the bacon wrapped scallops ( they were the biggest scallops ever and were like butter), the 40 oz. Porter house steak (which was so tender), with the brussel sprouts and mash potatoes. Overall, it was the best meal with so much flavor and thought put into every dish. 10/10 would recommend.

Don’t sleep on this new (ish) steakhouse near the park. Located in the JW Marriott, the space is completely revamped from the previous restaurant that occupied it. Everything we tried was outstanding. It’s classic steakhouse, but elevated. They also have a beautiful bar area with TV if you are looking for something a bit more casual. If you want an alternative to the typical midtown steakhouse I would highly recommend! Shoutout to Jorge our server who made us feel very welcome and spoiled on our first visit!

Had an early dinner before an event. My husband and I were taken back with the service and quality of the food. Every item we ordered was over the top delicious, including the complimentary “bread service “ that was actually 3 different types of French fries with complimentary sauces. A friend and I needed to catch up and he recommended this place. Excellent suggestion! The heart of palm salad was big enough for both of us. That and the garic-butter brioche alone make this place worthwhile. Neither of us wanted a steak, so he had the salmon, I had the sea bream and we both were very happy with our choices. Plus the noise level allowed for a conversation (very rare and very important) and the staff are great, very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Although the meal we had was unimpressive and mediocre, the hostesses’ from the moment we walked in were pleasant. But kudos to our wait staff Jenny & Christian. They were hospitable, informative, & kind. They were also very attentive. Our order: BACON-WRAPPED SCALLOPS- unimpressive 14 OZ WASHUGYU BONELESS RIBEYE- mediocre 8 OZ CENTER-CUT FILET MIGNON- warm to cold WHIPPED POTATOES, ÉCHIRÉ BUTTER- good BASQUE BRULÉED CHEESECAKE- good The steaks did not come out hot as expected. The knives were dull.

Beautiful restaurant with an awesome and friendly staff and amazing food! We came in for a date night and had a wonderful experience. We started with the bacon wrapped scallops which were one of my favorites. We shared a steak and some sides. The mashed potatoes were just heavenly. So light and fluffy! The truffle Mac and cheese was amazing as well and the presentation was awesome! Also get the pork chop! I came back on a separate visit and the pork chop was my favorite! Savory and sweet and extremely tender!

Everything was just incredible: the food, the service and the overall experience. Kudos to the entire team, in particular to our waiter Marcela who made our stay memorable.

Marcella and Jorge were our amazing servers! They were both so warm, engaging and made our dinner magical! The food was incredible! Servers educated us on the menu incredibly well and shared that with us that Chef Mina was at the restaurant which made our experience even more special!

We had such a great time at this steakhouse with our friends! From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. Our server, John, really made the evening special—attentive, friendly, and always a step ahead of what we needed. The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy, flavorful, and easily one of the best we’ve had in a long time. To top it off, the beignets were the perfect sweet ending. Light, warm, and absolutely delicious. Between the amazing food, the excellent service, and the fun atmosphere with friends, this was truly a memorable night out. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Mizan was great, super friendly and informative waiter. Food was unique and delicious. One comment is the creamed spinach pop tart should be called a creamed spinach toaster strudel. I say that as a fan of toaster strudels over pop tarts

We were served by John & Cristian to celebrate our 6th year anniversary and the service was phenomenal. The attention to detail was amazing. Food wise, we ordered the daurenki lobster roll caviar, Michael Mina tuna tartare, porterhouse steak, grilled prawns and spinach pop tart. Food was fantastic and would highly recommend.

Love the patio st Germain deal! 2 for 1 st germain drinks on the patio only and came with a fry basket. John served us and he was really nice!

This spot is absolutely amazing! Perfect score across the board. My husband and I came here for our 10th anniversary and had a great time. From complimentary items on the menu, to small details like hearts in our cappuccino, the service is perfection. Our servers, John and Cris, were personable and detailed oriented. Cris even came to fold my napkin after I left the table to use the restroom. We will be back for sure!!

Magnificent restaurant on 59th across from Central Park, entering from the Marriott. Elegant but not cloying environment, attentive and precise Service in listing dishes. Excellent wine list and high Quality of food cooked very well especially meat. Ideal for a classy evening in New York.

As an out of towner, I have done all of the "big name" steakhouses in the city, but this meal was possibly one of the best I have ever had. Jenny, a true professional and one of the sweetest people you will encounter, was my guide through this journey. I started with the Wagyu tartare and that gives you an idea of the delicious journey you are about to go on as you continue. Their drink menu is incredibly meticulous and worthy of an establishment of this stature, though I only tried one and moved to wine. For the entree I got the 14 oz Wagyu ribeye and the Jalapeno corn as a side. I got the truffle butter for the steak, but it is not necessary. A phenomenal piece of flavorful meat that is worth every penny if you so choose. Along the way, I was brought out little treats from the kitchen and the personal touch you receive is unbelievable. The entire staff emanates the vibe that they love what they do, and it shows. And be sure to enjoy their take on "bread and butter"! Most importantly though, ask for Jenny and I assure you that you will enjoy this experience to the fullest. 10/10. Will return again and again.

We are an absolutely fantastic experience. We worked with two of probably the best (partner) servers there one’s name is Aldo the other was Jorge the recommendations were absolutely amazing. The steak was amazing. The appetizers were amazing and the spinach tart was phenomenal! I would highly recommend going and hopefully you’ll get the opportunity to get these two awesome waiters again!

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and it was such an amazing experience. The atmosphere is very elegant and pretty. I really liked artichoke soup. The service was also fantastic! We live here for several years but had the best service. Our table in charge John and cris cared us a lot!

What a great experience! We had Marcella and she was a fantastic server. The food was amazing, which we had steak and a bunch of sides. Get the cheesecake, it was a new spin on a cheesecake and you won’t be disappointed!

We had the best time at Bourbon Steakhouse. We first had some cocktails in the room with the bar which was so nice— there’s open seating. We then got the bacon wrapped scallops which were delicious and then steaks and all the sides of course. I had so much fun taking my girlfriend Trudy here before the Holidays. We definitely want to come back for the seafood tower.

We had just the most beautiful evening at Bourbon Steak. From start to finish, we were so well looked after and everyone we came into contact with was so friendly. The restaurant is gorgeous too. We had Jorge and Arben looking after us for our meal. Jorge talked us through the menu, giving great suggestions. The food was absolute perfection! We would really recommend an evening here - we’ll absolutely be back the next time we are visiting. Thanks to Jorge and Arben for making it such a wonderful evening

I had high expectations for Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing due to poor service and lackluster attention to detail. While we had reservations, we were seated within 20 minutes of our original reservation time, which was a positive start. However, the issues began soon after. We waited 30 minutes just to place our drink order, which was frustrating from the start. Once we had our drinks, our water was never refilled, despite multiple requests. Our party of six ordered iced tea, and we were shocked to find that the cost for the tea refills totaled over $80—despite receiving only one refill throughout the entire meal. This seemed unreasonable for such a basic drink, especially in a high-end restaurant. The noise level in the restaurant was unbearable. It was so loud that we could not have a conversation at our table. The noise made it nearly impossible for us to enjoy the meal or communicate with each other, which seriously detracted from the experience. The food also took over two hours to arrive, and while the steaks were decent, they didn’t meet my expectations for the Bourbon Michael Mina restaurant. Overall, it was a lackluster experience with slow service, overpriced drinks, excessive noise, and mediocre food. Based on this visit, I’m unlikely to return.

The food was very good and well prepared cooked, but the pricing for the lunch is well above what you’d pay for a steak to a salad in any other major US city or at good restaurants in some places for dinner. And the portions were small. It’s a bit confusing.

Reese and Jenny were incredible! The service was amazing. We had what they suggested: scallop wrapped in bacon with cherry and foie ( to die for) delicious. Then we had the seasonal soft shell crab ( very light and delicious). The cocktails were so good and they are very knowledgeable about the menu! Amazing experience.

We didn't know where to go for dinner and we're passed by the Marriott, we stopped attracted by the outdoor tables and the inviting dishes on them. We entered and were warmly welcomed and chose to sit inside. The atmosphere is elegant and sophisticated, very New York. There are soft armchairs to sit on and the place also has a beautiful piano bar. The staff is lovely and very helpful. The portions are plentiful (even the glass of wine) and the food delicious. The price is adequate for such a place. Super recommended, congratulations Marriot!

Vanda Mizan was such a lovely waitress! Shes very sweet and attentive in terms of any dietary restrictions you may have. She checks in to make sure the food is ok, and then to let you know about the ingredients in the food depending on the intolerance. And she is really amazing overall! Appreciate you :)
