Fast and clean. Very good omelette and pancakes. Reasonable prices and good service. Suggested place for breakfast

close to Travel Inn hotel on 42nd streeth took one breakfast, : bacon and eggs were ok but coffee was not ok, go to a Starbucks on the other side of the 42 nd streeth

3rd year going to this deli while staying at the travel inn. Great food and perfect prices for nyc. In the am we have got take out bagels and at lunch we have gone in to the restaurant to eat and all the workers are friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs ! We will return for a Reuben sandwich !

There's not many places you can eat economically in NYC, but this is one of them. We stopped for Breakfast on the way to the Intrepid museum. I'd go back no problem

We stopped in for an early supper and enjoyed our meals. Not fancy, but clean. Prices were good and there were a couple of nightly specials on offer, as well as a good selection of baked goods.

It was a rainy and windy day in NYC and I was hoping to find a place with indoor dining but wouldn't break the bank. Thankfully this place had both. EVERYTHING ON THE MENU IS UNDER $10. For a restaurant in hell's kitchen i couldn't believe it. They have a great menu of just your everyday average diner food. They have a deli separate but I didn't get anything from there. They also sell bottled waters and stuff and travel sized medicine for people on the go who maybe need an aspirin. It wasn't the tastiest meal I've ever had, a little bland but it was filling, inexpensive and the staff was really nice. Temperature checks and your name and number are mandatory to enter.

Great value for the food... after the correct food arrived. Disappointed in the service, though. Ordered a cinnamon bagel with strawberry cream cheese, received a cinnamon bagel with veggie cream cheese. Got eye-rolling and muttered comments when I asked (politely) for it to be corrected. Now having said that, the bagel was delicious when it came back, with fresh sliced strawberries on it.

Stopped here one morning on the way to ComicCon. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff was amazing. He brought us over to a table window even though they were blocked off. Prices were really affordable. We will definitely make this an annual trip when we are in town.

I was used to the old owners. Suffice it to say that the new owners have a sign up that limits table usage to 1/2 hour. Coffee and food are fairly good and reasonable.

This was a perfect stop each morning to grab excellent coffee and treats before we started the day at NY Comic Con. The prices were reasonable and the coffee was fresh each day. Great service.

We were walking around our hotel when we found this cafe, they serve really good breakfast at an affordable price. The service is good and the restaurant is clean.

I had breakfast here for a week, and it was always tasty and good value. Clean and handy for the hotel. Oasis in a depleted area.

I visited New York a While back now and stayed at the travel inn next door. We ate Breakfast here every morning and loved it. the service was good and the staff very friendly. If i ever end up in New York again then this is where breakfast will be Happening.

Breakfast and lunch, eggs sandwiches and more, quick efficient table service, not expensive, on street level, 42nd street between 9th and 10th

Very handy if your staying at the Travel Inn. Food and prices were good. We popped down for breakfast before heading out

The four of us had just got off the " Best of NYC Cruise " - This 2.5 hour tour takes a full trip around the island of Manhattan . We were walking back towards the Port Authority ( bus station ) and decided first to get some lunch, we'd already passed a couple of other places but the Broadway's menu looked more inviting , so in we went. We were given a table for four next to the window & four menus were quickly layed on the table and we were told we can chose our drinks from the cooler. We helped ourselves to a couple of large cans of Australian beer & four plastic beakers. The menu choice was quickly decided - 4 Cheese Burgers with bacon and two lots of fries. Short time later our order was brought to the table, he also brought extra mayo & ketchup. Everything was fresh and tasty ' finger licking good ' as you might say and certainly not expensive. We couldn't fault the place.

15 years since our last visit and the food and staff are still as lovely. We came for breakfast French toast and bacon and a nice cup of coffee, just before we were repatriated back to the UK because of Covid-19!!! We shall try again next year, and looking forward to our breakfasts.!!

My wife and I go to NYC numerous times a year until covid. We love this restaurant for breakfast and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable! The servers remembered what we would usually order and they accommodate us in every way. We really hope they can survive this covid crisis and we look forward to coming back as soon as possible!

Next to the hotel so that was nice since the hotel did not have a breakfast area. Price was good, staff was very good. The bacon had a funny taste to it so I got ham the second day. That was better. The french toast was a little bland. My wife's omlet was very good. No fountian so you have to get a bottle from the cooler and take to your table. The cooler could have been a little colder. The bathroom is in the back and not very clean. they share it with the hotel lobby.

Nice atmosphere and very good service. Had omelette for breakfast which was really nice and prices were good value too.

Visited this place twice while we stayed across the road. Real american Dinner/Deli, where service is fast, food is hot and prices are reasonable! There is something for everybody, waiters are friendly. Very recommended when you want to have a decent breakfast or lunch, a lot of locals also eat here.

My Girl Scout troop and I ate breakfast here while staying in a nearby hotel (there were 9 of us). The breakfast was great and the prices were so reasonable. We were all able to get a meal and drink for under $10 each. Everyone in our party seemed to enjoy their breakfast. Very friendly staff and clean environment. Highly recommend this deli/cafe.

A great little cafe.. we stayed in the hotel next door on 2 separate trips and having this cafe next door influenced our decision to stay on our 2nd trip. The food is great, very fresh, great service and good prices. Staff are very pleasant and welcoming. Would highly recommend it for breakfast you wont leave hungry.

Fantastic no frill deli, with great, good value food and good, honest and friendly service. You no you have found a great Deli/Cafe, when the Local police and Construction workers frequently attend

Hard to get breakfast wrong. This was great value. Service was very attentive. It's great value for NYC. The Greek omelette was very good.

We ate there twice. Good service, the place was clean, fast and friendly service and we were full. We ate there for breakfast both times and were very satisfied.

We loved this place for it's coffee! The second morning we ordered an omelet to go, and it was simply delicious, filling, and generous in portion for the price!

The food here is fantastic and so well priced for NYC.Staff are extremely friendly. When we stayed in the travel inn next door we ate here every morning no other Deli comes close.

We eat at the Broadway Deli and Cafe every time we stay at the Travel Inn. The food is very reasonably priced and we have never had a complaint about the quality of the food. It is also a wonderful place for people watching which we both enjoy doing.

The food wasn't mind blowing, however it was good and large portions. The signing was OMG - you are making me cringe, you all are not hitting the notes right. Now, perhaps it was us, as others were clapping. I am not sure, however the concept is great and fun. So if you can deal with singing that is sub-par and want a place that has good portions, is clean and good food, then go.

Everything excellent, from Miguel's attention that always welcomed us with great vibes and we had our table reserved. Very rich latte, scrambled egg with toasted bread and bagel with cheese and bacon is wonderful. An ice cream maker with all drinks in sight to choose from. Very good value for money. Bathroom always clean and spacious. On my next trips to NYC I will try to stay nearby so I can go to breakfast there. Thanks for everything Miguel!

We visited for breakfast and were treated to some tasty food. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Thank you :)

Lots of choice and will make to suit tastes etc, reasonably priced but be aware of refill charges!..

Visit made here for a initial drink, however, the hot and cold food buffet on offer was too tempting so had to be done! Hot and cold food selection on offer was freshly cooked and prepped. Price is on weight basis of what you buy at $5 per 1/2lb. Lots of office and building workers dining here also. Definitely would recommend.

This is a hidden gem away from all the hustle and bustle of the Times Square area. A great place for a quick and reliable breakfast and lunch. It's also a good value. We had the Greek omelette and a Reuben melt with turkey. Both were excellent. The Greek omelette was a substantial portion filled with fresh veggies and feta cheese. The home fries were delicious. The sandwich was a good-sized serving of pastrami, melted cheese and turkey with a side of fries. The sandwich was tasty and the fries were perfectly crispy and not a bit greasy. The coffee was fresh and strong. Service was cordial and fast. This is a great casual off-the-beaten path eatery for a quick breakfast or lunch

Each time we visit New York we go here at least once for breakfast as a family tradition. Each time we are surprised the owners still recognize it. Good sandwiches, good coffee, relaxed.

Fresh and tasty food, this was a great place to grab a quick bite for lunch. Clean and modestly furnished it was exactly what we needed. Prices were comparable and we were in and out quick.

The deli is right next to the Travel Inn. Very reasonable prices..food was excellent with a variety of " deli" choices. Breakfast for two ran under $20 with omelettes, coffee and toast Wait staff was very friendly, efficient and fast. We ate here three mornings and recommend this if you are looking to save a few $.

Great American breakfast served here. Prices reasonable, food very tastey, staff great and all looked clean and tidy. Would deffo return here

So this is in location that used to be bens deli (38th st). Not as good as bens. Passable deli but hardly the best in ny. Very nice service

The food was okay but wouldn't return as we found much better diners. You had to help yourself to drinks out of the cabinet, didn't get any cutlery and then whilst we were eating, the waiters started to move the tables by the window closer to ours and proceeded to wash the inside windows. Good job we had just about finished, otherwise we would have got wet! The toilets were very unclean and it said only for use of customers, but there were quite a few people coming in the back way from a car park!

We have ate breakfast everyday there since we arrived...The coffee is very good better then Starbucks or McDonald's....you want regret your stay...

Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The chicken salad was a nice size and had a lot of chicken. The hot chicken wrap was tasty and included a generous portion of chicken. Service was quick and the entire place was clean. A great value for a good meal.

We stopped in on our way to the pier for a Cruiseline boat tour of Manhattan. Service was quick. You can sit down or take out. We had a grilled turkey club. Pricing was good and it hit the spot for a quick bite. They offer breakfast and lunch foods as well as grab & go beverages.

Found by chance on way back from Circle Line ferry. Welcoming, warm, fast and good service. Good value for money. Would happily go back

Stopped for lunch on our way to Kinky Boots. Prices were shocking but food was plentiful and very good. The service here is excellent. Burgers were $20+!

Great place for a good breakfast. Friendly staff. Would recommend....especially for brits looking for an english breakfast !!

Had breakfast every morning here the staff are so lovely and helpful, I'm very boring as had omelette and potatoes but amazing . The pancakes looked super

Worst coffee in my life. Was not sure if they were trying to punk us. Club sandwich was a panini...stay away. You've been warned

The place is really good. The food is fresh and delicious. We were seated and served within 10 minutes even though the place was packed. I am definitely going back whenever I am in NYC.

I was starving when we arrived in NYC, and this place was perfect. I got a pastrami sandwich, and my husband got a grilled chicken salad. Service was prompt and friendly. Good prices too.

Not a bad place but by no means the best deli in Manhattan. Decent sized portions. I wouldn’t go out of my way to return

This restaurant was right in front of our hotel, we went there 3 times for breakfast. Very good value for money and super welcome. The boss gave us bananas from our second visit. When we know the delirious prices and limit quality on Manathan, very good address 👍

Tried the triple decker pastrami sandwiches were great and at $7.95 the price was right. Definitely worth trying!

First time, and the food was delicious. Very clean atmosphere.Prices are very reasonable. The staff was very friendly.

While staying at the Travel Inn next door we ate here everyday for breakfast. For $10 and less we had a good breakfast including several cups of coffee. Service was fast and accurate and friendly. Their sandwiches looked good also, but I could never get past the breakfast. Was our first stop when we arrived in Manhattan. Travel Inn does not service breakfast or food, but their price is lower than most that do.

Next door to my hotel with great food, great prices and great staff. Freshly-squeezed orange juice was delicious. Had omelettes, pancakes and burger during my stay - hot and tasty. Definitely recommend.

This hotel is in a great location, a few minutes walk from Time Square. Rooms are clean and are of a good size. Staff were friendly. Bed was super comfy! It was noisy (room at the front of the hotel) but it's NYC so it didn't bother us. Didn't use the spa, it was freezing and didn't fancy running back to our room - brrrr! Only hang ups - no tea/coffee facilities in the room. We found a cafe opposite (Deli & Cafe) which opened early but would have been nice not to have to get dressed to get a coffee! Confused about the bar/restaurant? Bar never seemed open neither did the restaurant? Check out was 11am and the hotel kept our luggage until we needed to go the airport, which meant we could make the best of our last day in the Big Apple!

Ate breakfast here on several occasions on my last trip to New York so thought I would try it again. I wasn't dissapointed. Still a good breakfast with fast service and certainly value for money. Food is good but coffee is very ordinary.

I eat breakfast here regularly when I visit New York on business. Fast friendly and consistent service and food. The corned beef hash is a favorite. Great value in proportion to serving size. Worth the visit.

I went here with friends and their kids after the Circle Line on August 15th. I would not recommend eating here....unless your really hungry....If you do eat here...pick the items that they don't have to be cooked or least likely to get messed up when cooking. I had a burger which was overcooked...burnt on both sides....it looked like all the other burgers were burnt too....and the fries...were not good either. My friends onion rings....were all breading practically...Our waiter was very attentive...and was able to get us a table for 9 in this casual deli type place. The burger and fries (only gave small amount of them with burger) was about $7.00.

We ate here twice as we were staying just down the road, quick service, and good quality food and a really reasonably priced. Great Value!

Very nice staff, fast service, the bagels are fantastic. We had them with egg, bacon, and cheese. They will fix them how you want them. Coffee was really good. And not to expensive, especially nice for NYC. Would eat here again.

This was a lovely, clean deli and cafe en route to the circle line pier 83. Good menu, good price quick service from pleasant staff. We found this by chance as I had looked on the internet for something on the way to our ferry. Great find.

I found this place back in 2010. We were back in the city and I wanted to find this place again. Well, we did!! We walked in and the host directed us where to sit. The service was very good. He took our order and the food comes out hot and fresh and fast. The coffee is very good. Perfect!! I ordered a breakfast sandwich with home fried and hubby ordered an omelet. Everything was good and big portions. You will not leave hungry. It was so good we went back the next day. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is friendly. We will be back when back in the city.

We were very lucky as this great deli was right next to our hotel, the Travel Inn, so it was a no-brainer to try out for our first NY breakfast. The menu is pretty good, as in it's got all the basic stuff that all families members will eat, even our kids. The owner was very kind and always gave the kids treats to take away, bananas, cookies etc. The waiters were very pleasant and polite too. It was all in all a nice start to the long touristy days that kept us coming back. So if you are staying nearby me and my whole family recommend this place to you. I wish service in the UK was even 10% this good!

Had breakfast here one morning since we were staying at the hotel next-door. Breakfast food was fine, but after my first cup of coffee I pretty much had to walk across the room and help myself to coffee rather than get a fill-up. My wife had ordered a glass of water and it never came. When I finally asked again, we got a small cup of water in a soapy glass.

Serves the general mixture of American breakfast fare, service is swift, food is edible and coffee good, don’t expect fancy and this place won’t disappoint.

Very spacious, clean and friendly deli / diner. Very fast service. Delicious omelettes and pancakes. The owner gave a pack of biscuits and bananas for the kids after. Friendly and efficient waiting staff. Right next to the Travel Inn Hotel. The hotel wi if reached here too.

Visited here on the off chance this afternoon. Cracking wee place. Clean, quick service, food great and staff very welcoming, and great with my young daughter. Reasonably priced (compared to the other extortionate prices in some delis in NYC.) Would go back again!!

Not the best but not the worst brunch place in NY. Tried the corned beef sandwich which was good, French toast and pancakes were nice but not the best we'd had.

As it was two steps away from the hotel we were staying, we ended up having breakfast there everyday. Very affordable meals, tasty and wholesome. The staff are very accommodating. The only downside was the "on-the-clock" policy - you had thirty minutes to chew your food and release the table. But we were too much of a hurry to experience the city so we never exceed the limit :)

For us the perfect place to start the day (we stayed in Travel Inn, next door). Lots of choice, extensive breakfastmenu.

Nice & Quick service This is now our officiel place to start the day in New York City They come to your table, ask how you want things cooked and served. And bring it minutes after with a smile 😀👍🏻

We ate breakfast here for 3 mornings, There is plenty of choice and the servings are enough to start the day well. The fresh orange juice was superb. Although a sign says 1/2 hour only I think this is put up to stop people sitting with a cup of coffee for hours. The staff were well organised and friendly and we did not have to wait for our food.

We were staying four nights next door in the Travel Inn Hotel and after eating here on the first morning and enjoying the experience, we used it for breakfast every day, but one. Nelson looked after us on each time and he was friendly, helpful and very patient with our 8yo who wanted to know what was available evry morning, before choosing pancakes. I don't know if it's the best Deli in NYC, but it is reasonably priced and perfectly situated for the hotel next door.

Stopped by on the way to the Circle Line ferry terminal on a cold Sunday morning. Welcoming and warming. Breakfast fare fine. It's always good to have something hot inside you before a boat ride.

Good food, reasonable prices and fresh tasty coffee. Like a small coffee shop I believe open for breakfast/lunch.

We stopped here for lunch as it was near the Circle Line pier and the Intrepid. Although it had a canteen vibe about it (which I found out later was pretty much typical of a diner) the wraps we ordered were delicious. We really didn't need the fries we ordered as well. You help yourself to cold drinks, which I thought was fun. The service was friendly and prompt, and the price was very reasonable for Midtown. It did close at 3pm though, which was an hour earlier than their posted hours. Maybe it was too quiet for them. Just be aware if you're coming via the app.

We stopped in here for breakfast and it was 'fine'. We didn't order anything fancy. I had scrambled eggs which were really good and came out piping hot, toast which was cold and the wrong type of bread vs what I ordered and a potato patty that was hot but more like a McDonald's breakfast patty. My son had french toast which he liked and a bagel which was not a 'NY bagel'. Pricing was very reasonable and we would eat here again, but would try somewhere else first.

I was a guest at the hotel next door. Two families drove 5 kids (average age was 4) to NYC to do all the Christmas-y things. We were a large bunch... but the diner quickly found us a table... didnt mind the children.. and even sent over complimentary bananas and cookies. Food came out quickly. I'm leaving this review because the staff was wonderful. I felt bad all weekend with my gang of kids ... but they didnt seem to mind. maybe even enjoyed them!!! thanks!
Great start to the day
Went to this place on a cold wet dreary New York morning. Cheered up no end by our cooked breakfast served by smiling staff. Had the full breakfast, eggs, bacon etc washed down with some nice coffee. Good value.
