View the city while you sip on a cocktail

By SushiCat2010 |

Cool setup while you sip on a cold beverage and chill out. Service is good and the staff are very friendly.

Great location but typical [pretentious] hotel bar atmosphere

By SeatOfMyPntsTravelr |

Good view of Times Square but pricey drinks. I was there Superbowl Sunday and no one cared about the game. What?

Lovely stop before a show

By Leslie J |

Stopped by before our musical. It was a little confusing getting to the entrance, but once seated by the windows, we had a lovely time. Good drinks, what looked like good food, and excellent views of Times Square.

Come to take photos only

By SPIDERMAN113 |

Not great on any level! Apart from the view, but in the end it's very expensive for the view so it's better to come and watch, take photos and leave!

Poor and slow customer service.

By Barbara C |

Stating at the hotel and had breakfast at this restaurant on the morning of departure 7/7/2019. Long line to get a table. Lots of open tables but took 20 minutes to get seated. Waiter finally came about 10 minutes later after being seated. Took another 10 minutes to get water. When we finally got breakfast waiter never checked back. When meal was over asked hostess for our bill. Waited another 10 minutes or so then finally found server and asked him for our bill & waited again for it to arrive. Servers seemed to be busy chatting with other staff members instead of being more attentive to customers. Very poor customer service especially when spending $25 for an omelette. Lots of uncleared tables so restaurant appeared messy. Seemed to be understaffed and no manager handling the restaurant on a busy July weekend morning. Left a very poor impression of customer service. Food was okay, not great but poor customer service will effect our decision to never return here again.

Poor Cocktails, Lukewarm Food and Poor Service

By EddieOnTour |

We decided to pop into the hotel as we had stayed there a few years ago (and loved it) and have a cocktail at the top restaurant. Unfortunately it didn’t open until 4pm so we decided to have a cocktail and a light lunch in the lobby bar/restaurant and had a super seat overlooking Times Square. I ordered a long island iced tea and my wife a different cocktail. We also ordered deep fried calamari and a separate order of French fries. When I got my cocktail it was absolutely terrible – I couldn’t taste any alcohol and it was so sweet. I only drink long island iced teas in New York and had them in many 5star NY hotels and steak restaurants and always the bar staff know their stuff. Sadly the bartender in this hotel doesn’t know how to make cocktails. I sent it back and was offered a replacement – but what is the point in having another badly made cocktail as it was obvious that the bar tender didn’t know how to make this one or was under strict instruction from hotel management to use as little alcohol as possible in the cocktail – so I went for the safe option and ordered a beer. About 15mins later a server brought our calamari and French fries. The calamari was between lukewarm and cold, the French fries were warm at best. We were so hungry that we accepted warm French fries but called our waitress and told her that the calamari was at best lukewarm and that most likely it had been sitting in the kitchen waiting to be collected for too long. The response I got back was no the calamari was hot. I asked how could she know this as it was a different server who brought it from the kitchen and she had not tasted the food. She asked me what I wanted to do and I told her we would eat the warm French fries but we wanted hot deep fried calamari. We received a replacement dish 5mins later and it was hot. When you go to a 5star hotel you expect 5star service, food and beverages on this occasion the Marriott failed badly on all 3 counts. We won’t be back and based on our food experience will take it of our NYC hotel list.

Great views of Times Square

By ilk2travel |

Great little lounge with a nice ambiance at day and night. We had a glass of wine and listened to live Jazz which was very relaxing after a busy day. The wine selection is not huge but it is okay. A little pricey but its Times Square pricing. Good Service.

Great view of time square

By Danielle |

We stopped here for a drink on our way back to our hotel. We arrived and it was very busy but we managed to get a seat at the edge of the restaurant overlooking time square which was amazing. The service was quite slow but once the waitress knew we were there she was attentive. We didn't eat but the food looked good on other tables. Definitely a tourist spot but with views like that who cares?!

Just ok

By vivo1970 |

We went here after a show and had wings and pretzels. It was ok. Not breathtaking or memorable. If you want good bar food, go someplace else. Service was ok--kinda slow.

Great View of Time Square

By SandyGillis0614 |

We enjoyed a bit to eat and a hot beverage while shopping in Time Square. It is beautiful, clean and the service is great.

Not interested in our business

By John F |

It seems we were not the popular couple for this bar. Richie the bartender decided to wait on several other groups that came in after we did. Guess it was our age or maytbe the way we dressed, but he certainly was not going to wait on us until everyone else had been waited on. We spoke with the Manager on duty and we are not certain he believed us as he defended his empoyee which is good in a way, but you can do 100 good things and 1 bad, and thats the one that people remember. We won't be going back. We are staying in the motel for 5 nights but there are many other bars we can go to. Terrible service and Richie needs a lesson in manners.

Wonderful view; great drinks and service

By We-R-Voyagers |

After a Broadway show we visited the Broadway Lounge and sat at a window table overlooking Broadway, eight floors below us. What a terrific view. Mrs. really gets a kick out of visiting NYC and seeing all the new and strange sights that can be seen here in the Times Square area. This 8th floor view offers another fantastic perspective. We both had wonderfully prepared cocktails. Even with a pretty-full house, we were very pleased with the attentive waitress. Even if you aren’t staying in the hotel, put this on your list for a wonder place to “see” what’s going on in Times Square.

beautiful

By borbone3 |

Boasting sophisticated and comfortable décor, Broadway Lounge is the perfect spot for savoring cocktails or pre-theater snacks and admiring spectacular views of Times Square. Additionally, you’re able to reserve our stunning spaces for private and semi-private events

Great views, mediocre food.

By Jennifer B |

View was lovely, food was less than mediocre and service was subpar. I recognize that NYC is just more expensive in general but the food wasn’t even good. Two sandwiches plates, baked chicken …no apps, desserts or alcohol and was still over $100.

A convenient, if not a bit pricey, spot to top off a night at the theatre

By Phelman-Kech |

You go to Broadway, you expect to be paying a lot for the night. The Marriott Marquis is no exception. $63 for parking. The show at the Marquis was great and we decided to grab a quick bite at the Lounge & Terrace. We ordered drinks, appetizers and burgers. Wine was a minimum of $15 a glass while and Old Fashion was $20. However our food was prepared well and was quite tasty. Service was erratic, sometimes good, sometimes inattentive. The big plus is one stop for parking, a show and an after-theatre snack.

Great views, expensive drinks

By Joe P |

Much like the rooms, you're paying for location. The views from the bar are stunning, but the prices are very high. Close to $50 for 2 glasses of wine and a beer.

Perfect After show dinner and drinks

By HouzeThat |

Thought our options were shot at 9.30 post Get on your feet show at a Marriott. But surprisingly the Broadway Lounge on the 8th Floor was open. Going up the escalators you may have thought it was closed but yeah! Window table! It just got busier and busier as time passed . Great view , flashing billboards as a back drop , fab drinks and super good options. I had the flat bread and then the cheese board. Perfect! Sooo happy we tried it! They don't advertise at all that it is open after the show.! So keep it a secret!

Nice view of Times Square along with delicious food.

By Piyush P |

Lounge Broadway located on 8th floor of New York Marriott Marquis has a splendid view of Times Square and its famous brightly lit billboards and advertisement screens. Food is delicious with a great atmosphere and seating. Try Thai Samosa and Pizza Margherita, Hummus for a change. TIP : Reserve one of the tables adjoining the window for a great view.

Violeta at Broadway Lounge

By the6ix73 |

We went to Broadway Lounge to celebrate my son’s Sweet 16 and had an amazing experience. Violeta was the hostess and she arranged for us to have the best table by the window with a stunning view of Times Square. She was very friendly and made sure my son felt special and that we were well taken care of. They had my favourite wine from Cake Bread Winery and we enjoyed a tasty meal.

Great place to grab a drink before heading out for the night!

By afly77 |

Great view of Times Square and great drinks! We started our night here and had a blast! Service is great and drinks were yummy. We did not eat here though.

Too pricey even for Marriott even for Times Square

By Bucketlist28 |

We would have stayed had it been for drinks in the evening. But we just wanted a mid day respite from the hustle and bustle - took one look at price list and was crazy - wine, soda, you name it. We were staying at the hotel too and travel to NYC a lot. We know what things cost but this was ridiculous. Went down the street to a coffee shop.

Loved it!

By bigmaffy |

The views and experience are worth the price of a meal. Our steaks were great and much better than I expected. Often places with such a cool view won’t try very hard with the food, but the Broadway Lounge was a great choice and we will definitely go back. A great way to end your NYC trip.

Hotel Guests

By 266Lisa266 |

As we were staying at the hotel we only passed time in there when it was raining. The drinks are very expensive. Plenty of tables to choose from.

Awesome view

By Kheiy L |

This restaurant has a beautiful view of Time Square. It has gorgeous lighting and a really nice vibe. The server we got was super friendly, I didn't catch their name. The prices are a little high for cocktails but what place isn't when in New York with a view. We all got the Risotto and bugged our server who bugged the chef to make changes as it originally comes with scallop but we all wanted different. I got Salmon, someone else wanted Tofu and two others wanted Halibut. They made the changes no problem and food was great! They also encouraged us to get up and take pictures and look out the window as we were a group of 5 and couldn't sit at a window spot.

Good buffet for dinner

By Terry B |

There are a couple of restaurants that share the same location. If you choose a seat close to the windows, you have a choice of eating off a menu selection, or from the buffet for $25.00 per person. We chose the buffet and were delighted! Great selection of foods to chose from, several fresh salads, and the deserts are to die for.

nice

By sinemprens |

had fun there with my mom. We talked on tango internale with my husband and dad. Very technological hotel. This place is inside the hotel.

Go elsewhere

By bren m |

We went for the view which was OK at best. My fish was soaked in oil, and I could barely eat it. It was a let down for our last night in New York. This is not fine dining.

Just OK

By ScooterM52 |

OK- we did not have a reservation,so no table by the window, but lots of space. OK- we initially got a trainee who reported they did not have some ingredient for a Rusty Nail (one outta 2 ain’t bad?) So a Johnny Walker Black rocks is $20? A Grey Goose and tonic $18? A mergherita pizza add mushrooms $20? (I apologize for my spelling). Not delicious but OK. Sorry, not much value… But it was Times Square and we had a show to see, and you often don’t get value on Saturday night…

Great bar for after theater drinks.

By Bill C |

Good drinks, good music, friendly staff make for a fun late night experience. The bacon, cheddar ravioli in brown butter sauce with sautéed onions was a bar food winner.

Poor service food ok!

By Nick |

The waitress just didn't seem to want to take our order, and then took 20 minutes to deliver drinks. The food eventually arrived and it was cold! The flat iron steak is good value for money. We were staying in the hotel for 5 nights and after our experience we did not use the restaurant again. The view is good of both Times Square and the funky hotel lifts..

Anniversary Surprise

By Graham |

We found this fantastic Restaurant on a Google search after venturing out to Times Square. The team were able to seat us with a perfect view of Times Square. They presented us with a complimentary glass of Champagne to celebrate 37 Years of Marriage. The food was fantastic. Thank you so much for an evening we will never forget.

Great place for food after a Broadway show

By Monica S |

In the Marriott Marquis Hotel on the 8th floor. Fast service, great food (we got the Bacon Cheeseburger and Margherita Pizza), both were yummy. The pizza is just a flatbread, not ny syle pizza but still crispy and good.

Great view, great service

By slpsomm |

The food was great. We shared a pizza, broccolini, and a sundae. The view was perfect Our server, Ruth, was spectacular.

Excellent Drinks and Appetizers

By Justin W |

I took a friend for her birthday present to the Broadway Lounge at the Marriott for drinks and appetizers and the whole experience was wonderful. We really had a nice time. First, the view is amazing! You get the view of Times Square from all angles and when night falls it is especially beautiful. The music they have is really nice and they are now playing all the 80's hits. The food was wonderful. We shared the chicken wings, the fried calamari and the chicken dumplings, all of which were cooked perfectly and the portion size was very generous especially for a hotel bar. The chicken wings do have some bite to them and can be hot but are very meaty and cooked perfectly. The chicken dumplings were as light as air and the soy sauce accompanying them matched perfectly. The service was quick and very prompt with the order but then it was really quiet that afternoon so we got a lot of attention. Still they are always nice at the Marriott. It can be a bit pricey but still for a once in a while experience, it is well worth the money.

Service is dreadful

By GlenFC |

This lounge should be an ideal setting for both guests of the hotel, as well as visitors to Broadway. Unfortunately the very poor service (same as the rest of this hotel), lets it down. The layout is quite good, with wonderful views. This is a table service lounge, with both drinks, as well as an express menu. We came her on 3 occasions and left each time after not being served/acknowledged by staff after around 20-25 mins. We tried to order food at the bar and were told this was not possible. Given the number of alternative options in the area, don't waste your time here.

Good Place to Grab A Drink

By forteiii |

My wife & I grabbed a drink & an appetizer (a couple of times), while staying here at the Marriott over Easter Weekend. We found the service at the bar to be both friendly and professional. The drinks & appetizers were good (but pricy)... however, that's expected for the location.

Great!

By rktj |

This was a high point during an otherwise disappointing stay at the Marriott Marquis. Great view of Times Square. Service was great as were the appetizers and drinks. Lively atmosphere.

Horrible

By Andy03 |

So bad that makes the Marriott looks bad!..waited 25 min no service..lots of “waiters” passing next to us but ignore us because we were with kids. Definitely not a place to go with family. Dirty tables and floors.

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!

By Lauren |

Words can’t describe how fantastic our experience was! We requested a table by the window & we’re fortunate enough to get one, food was beautiful (I had the scallops & cheesecake) and the cocktails were to die for! They’re pretty hot on ID-ing so if you’re in and around 21 I’d save yourself the hassle and bring yours with you (it’ll save you the trek back to your hotel room XD). Made our trip so so special and will be top of my list of places I recommend to those visiting NY!!

Good hotel eats

Nice hotel bar—great service and good drinks. Lots of menu variety, which is nice. My friends and I enjoyed everything served.

Great drinks on the Terrace

By JVWNYC89 |

I have been the Broadway Lounge many many times over the years, but for the first time I went out to the Terrace area on a beautiful warm night in late April and it was spectacular. I'm not a tourist, having once lived in NYC but this is truly a nice place to go and it just goes to show that no matter how many times you've been to Times Square and may even get annoyed at the crowds its definitely fun to sit among and enjoy a cocktail with all the lights and all that. Not just cocktails but the Broadway Lounge has incredible cocktails, so after not having been there in about 3 years it was great to see that the quality of their cocktails has not changed. I highly recommend the "Uptown Manhattan," its like a regular Manhattan but on crack, haha. Our waitress was very nice/friendly, attentive, professional and was able to field any questions we had about the menu, etc, and that's the experience I've had in my previous visits to the Broadway Lounge in the past. Cheers!

Great views and great food.

By Dafox76 |

The food and the service was fantastic. Amazing views as well. Our party had the half roast chicken, short rib and a pizza as well as a cheesecake dessert. Everyone enjoyed their respective meals. The waiting staff were very nice and even accommodated a request for plain fries when the menu said sweet potato. I would highly recommend eating here.

Fantastic dinner before a Broadway show!

By SacoMaineFamily |

Our last dinner in NYC before a Broadway show at the Lunt-Fontanne theatre located across the street. The view of Times Square was fantastic. Great service. Delicious food. Paid $25 to be seated at a window table (made a reservation). We were celebrating a college graduation and they brought us free prosecco and a chocolate dessert to recognize the occasion. We had a fabulous experience. Highly recommend. The location can’t be beat with the view of Time Square. p,s. This same hotel has a rotating restaurant named the View which we hope to try the next time we are in NYC!

Pretty view if Time Square

By Christina G |

Great restaurant overlooking Times Square. Reasonably priced, good drinks and good food. Fun experience, enjoyed our time there.

Great Bar

By Linda S |

We stayed at this hotel and really enjoyed spending time in this lounge. it was relaxed, friendly, a great lay out and very comfortable. good service and yummy food

Great happy hour place

By Christine C |

We had a light snack here upon our arrival and happy hour one other day. Love sitting next to the windows for a fabulous view of Times Square. Sometimes they have special events here and close it to others, so ask about that if you are planning to go there on a particular day.

Convenient and good service

By Marty911 |

I tried to find someone to help me for dinner at the adjacent Crossroads American Kitchen & Bar but there was no one around. I walked over to the Broadway lounge which was lively and had a light dinner and drinks. The service was friendly. The food was fresh and properly prepared. I had a wedge salad and chicken and it was very good. There is a decent wine list so I found a favorite to enjoy. The Lounge is in the Marriott Arquis, 8th floor, so was very convenient.

Great Ambience

By annews9 |

The view here was amazing, the drinks were very good. We only had a light snack due to dinner reservations. Try the homemade chips--fabulous!!!!!

good food, drinks and in the Marriot,

By marie s |

We ate here quite a bit during a stay and all was good. Staff friendly and attentive. Drinks are good and their 'sliders' were our favorite.

Love the view

By sueandtom776 |

It's fun n to sit and watch the people down on Times Square. There's no more iconic view of New York City.

Great views

By ThomasEMM |

The Broadway Lounge is located inside the Marriott Marquis Times Square all the way facing Times Square. As such, you can have great views of Times Square, especially during summer time when the outside terrace is also open.

Good food

By Danielle A |

I tried this place for a glass of wine and a small plate late night. I sat at the bar and didn’t find the service very friendly but can look past that. I ordered the flat bread and it was really good. The atmosphere is nice and spacious. Prices are fair for the middle of Times Square

Sophisticated venue to enjoy Times Square

By Richard A |

Had a couple of drinks here overlooking Times Square. Attentive waitress, good cocktail and whiskey list and comfortable seats make it ideal for enjoying all the lights, without getting jostled.

Late night snack

By Erika K |

Flat bread pizza and drink before bed! Staff was very nice - took a while for our order to be taken but it was close to closing time and there were a lot of patrons. Pizza came out super quick!

Horrible service

By Steves_Rickshaw |

Can’t comment on the food, we just had beers. We were barely acknowledged by the zero personality hostess Carol. I know staffing must be hard, but this person obviously doesn’t want to be there. It didn’t get much better. Staff was pretty non existent. Unless you get a window seat, which apparently you need a reservation for despite a practically empty restaurant, or if you need to use your $30 resort fee credit, I would go elsewhere. Many many options here in Times Square.

In the Heart of Time Square

By Lexo Go |

This lounge is located in the heart of Times Square in the Marriott Marquis. Super convenient location. Very good food and drinks here with a stellar view. Drinks are pricey but every drink in NYC is pricey.

Huge portions and good seasoning

By Darlene A |

Our experience was very good at the Broadway Lounge. We had good service and our portions were huge. The food was seasoned nicely and cooked to order (one of our party had food allergies). We overheard our neighbors raving about their food as well.

A truly Happy Thanksgiving

By Camille S |

Thanksgiving dinner, an elegant buffet, was just what this Native New Yorker needed. The quality of the food was excellent, the presentation was well thought out, with shrimp and lox on one table, charcuterie and bread on another, and plenty of choices for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. The staff was amazing, attentive and cheerful. I loved the space and the view. Ahhhh. There was live music, too, and Santa!

Diminished Return

By DBuksh |

Time dulls memories. This used to be a fantastic meeting place with the wonderful backdrop of insane Time's Square. Now it's a depressing lounge with mediocre drinks, indifferent service and sub-quality food. It this is really part of the Marriott they need to re-consider branding. I had spent many post-meetings here entranced by the view and the service, but lately it has just gone down hill. It's almost a pure reflection of the commercial junk below and is not longer a refuge.

Spectacular

By Ryan M |

This restaurant blew our minds. We requested a window table making reservations and we’re surprised to receive a window table. The views were incredible but even better was the food/drinks/desert. Highly recommend

This really could be made something special

By Drewsomeness |

This is one place that definitely feels like a standard, blah hotel lounge. It could really be made to be so, so much more. The bartenders were nice enough - but it just really wasn't a place you wanted to spend any time.

Great view and food!

By MCNAbf |

Great indoor or outdoor views of Broadway from the Marriot Marquis. Drinks are cold and food was very yummy. Recommend the beef sliders and chicken nachos. Kids are allowed.

Awful service

By Tiffany K |

I hate to leave a bad review because we were here for a pre broadway show bite and enjoyed our mushroom flatbread and kale salad so much that we went back for an after show drink. Most of the smaller tables were taken so my hubby and I sat at a larger table. It's open seating... A waitress came by with drink napkins and said she would return to take our order. After nearly 25 minutes passed, she returned and asked if people were joining us. When we told her no, she made a face like we shouldn't have taken the table. There were two other large tables available, but we said we would just move to the bar where two seats had just opened up. After sitting at the bar for 15 minutes with no acknowledgement from any of the bartenders, we left. We are staying at this hotel for a conference and for pleasure for the next 5 days. We won't be returning to this restaurant. The staff was either extremely rude or lazy. Don't bother. There is a lot of competition in the theater district for drinks and food.

Don’t tell Dad

By Bari G |

“Don’t tell dad but the burgers are better than his!” My nephews loved and devoured their burgers while I sipped my delicious West Side Cosmo. My youngest nephew told me not to tell his dad :)

Point of view

By psnowfr |

Establishment very well located on TimeSquare, beautiful view and the prices remain correct in relation to the location Very friendly staff

Food was good but expensive

By Butterfly063 |

The food was very good but like in most hotels very expensive. They had a buffet for breakfast and dinner but I just ordered from the menu because I do not each like that.

The best Graduation dinner but some confusion on the window seats

By Justin W |

We were staying at the Marriott Marquis on the night of my graduation from NYU and my best friend and I planned on going to the Broadway Lounge, where I have eaten many times before, for dinner. When we got there, the tables over looking Times Square were full but at various stages of people ready to leave. The host said to us that it was first come first serve and there was no reservations. So we waited for a table to open up. The host tried to seat us at another table but it was like a race of the hosts and the other host put someone at the table we were going to sit at so we just waited. Then another table opened up and I informed the host that they were leaving and were asked to wait while they cleaned it. My friend said she did not want to lose the table and we just sat down. The manager walked over and let us know that they put a $25.00 charge on the window seats for priority seating. This is a strange policy for seating that was ‘first come first serve’. I pulled the manager aside and let him know we were not trying to go against any policy but it was the night of my graduation and my friend just wanted to make sure it was special for me. He looked like he understood and said that it was no problem that we stayed which I appreciated. Even our waiter let us know of this strange policy. That being said the rest of the evening was flawless. Our waiter knew it my graduation night and made sure we had a great evening. The food was excellent. We shared the fiery Chicken Finger appetizer, which was delicious. I had the Smashburger, which I highly recommend and my friend had the Short ribs, which I tasted and they were delicious as well. For dessert, I treated us to the Strawberry Tower which was a bit pricey for $32.00 but a special treat for graduation night. It was layers of cake, ice cream and strawberries with cream cheese bites and a giant lollipop on top that tasted like bubblegum. You have to try this once. I really credit our waiter for defusing the situation. He could not have been nicer and really made the evening special for us. I think the restaurant though should make their policy more well know or a least have the hosts have a better way of explaining this policy to guests. I have eaten here about a dozen times over the last twenty years and had never heard of this policy. Still I want to thank the understanding manager and our excellent waiter and the kitchen staff for the wonderful food in making my graduation night so special to me. Thank you!

What a mockery.

By Angela |

Food was really substandard and way too expensive for what you get. You're done within half an hour, which isn't fun. You can't see the view if you don't sit by the window. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Great views! Good for breakfast when staying at the Marriott.

By psudino |

The main attraction of the lounge are the views from the massive floor to ceiling windows. This is really one of the best views you can get of Times Square because the Marriott is smack in the middle. In terms of food it was tasty and delivered quickly enough. It was typically priced for NYC but still felt pricey for what we got. If you want total convenience and good food for breakfast when staying at the Marriott, then this is a very good option.

Great Place to Relax after a Show

By Razormama |

Perfect place to take in Times Square after a show. Located in the 8th floor of the Marriott Marquis, it has a relaxed comfortable atmosphere with good service. We were able to get a window seat and I would recommend that. Food was above average.

Still Good

By KatKealy |

Still a great view, but the service has gone downhill a LOT over the years. I would have given it a 5 years ago, Now it's just average.

Ate here a couple of times.

By Marie S |

The gluten free pasta dish with sausage was exceptional. I also had the half sandwich, soup and ceasar salad which was delicious as well.

Reasonable prices for a fabulous view

By McKenna N |

I always try to squeeze in a trip to the lounge while in New York. The views are beautiful, and it’s fairly quiet before a show. I never have a problem getting a table, even at 6 on a Saturday night. The new outdoor terrace is comfortable and the staff is always helpful. For $35 I got a great burger and a great glass of wine, very reasonable for a good time square meal with great views.

Excellent meal after a night of touring the city

By Justin W |

My brother, new sister in law and I came to the Broadway Lounge because my sister in law had not been to New York in twenty years and wanted to eat at a "New York City" restaurant. I have been to the Broadway Lounge many times over the years for special occasions. The food and the service were excellent as I expected they would be and the views of Times Square were spectacular. They were both very impressed. I had the Three Cheese Grilled Cheese with fries as my main dish which was the perfect sandwich on a cool day. This crispy, cheesy sandwich was the perfect comfort food and tasted sharp and rich and the outside was crisp and buttery. It was delicious. For dessert, we shared the Vanilla Cake which was sweet and crisp on the outside and moist with every bite. I really enjoyed my dinner as did my brother and sister in law. What she was most impressed by was the views from the table (we had a window table she arranged) and the service. The wait staff at the Broadway Lounge could not have been nicer or more prompt with the food and drinks. Everything that evening was top notch and all the waiters who helped out at the table could not have been nicer. It was a perfect combination of delicious food, excellent service and wonderful views and was the perfect Manhattan experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to out of towners who want that experience of being part of Manhattan and its vide.

5 stars for view of times square 3 stars for food 1 start for value

By Stolen Buick |

Worth at least a visit to see the 8th floor views of Times Square if you are into that. During the day, you can just walk over and have a look. We had breakfast there two days because the concierge lounge (for gold members) was closed on the weekends and they newer gimmick that the hotel does is charge you a "$25 Destination Fee" that they credit back to you per day at the restaurant. We had a oatmeal and pancakes with one coffee and a water and the bill was $27 AFTER our $25 credit. So, without a credit, you'd be out $53 for a light breakfast. The food was fine - hard to ruin oatmeal - and the pancakes were decent on Saturday for my wife but were half the size on Sunday so she left hungry. Seating was an necessarily long process and long line with tons of empty tables both days. Could not figure out way it took so long. Wait amazing remembered every single detail about our order the next day. Overall average, very nice people and wait staff despite the unneeded wait (Marriott people are always very, very nice and mostly all well trained). Bottom line, at least go for the view and grab yourself a $6 coffee - or drink at the bar in the evening just to see the view.

Perfect place for a drink, plus.

By Elaine L |

Nice lounge for a drink and some light food. It overlooks Times Square and the you can watch all the excitement below. Wonderful atmosphere for relaxing before or after a show too.

¡Perfect Delightful Venue!

By Jim H |

Spent St. Patrick's night here before heading out to dinner. Few drinks. Wonderful music 🎶 and attentive service. Live in NY so not that interested in view, but happy to see tourists enjoying it.

Unparalleled view

By Marce H |

Friendly staff, we were served by a waiter who spoke Spanish and made an effort to serve us well, the view is incomparable as it is right on Time Square. It is somewhat confusing to get to the restaurant because there are many elevators in that hotel. The food is good however they have very few options

Away from the Noise, but Still Has View

By smoorman |

This place is still close to the action but a more relaxing place to have a drink and enjoy New York. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good place to recharge before hitting the street again! Would definitely recommend.

We went to listen to some jazz

By EastVillageDenizen |

A jazz Meet Up was scheduled for the Broadway Lounge at the Marriott Marquis. Although we do our best to avoid Times Square at all costs, it was an intriguing line up so we gave it a shot. The Broadway Lounge is an expansive, open, circular room with some raised seating where the musicians perform. The decor is Marriott all the way. The acoustics in this high ceilinged room were surprisingly music friendly. The prices are in the typical hotel/tourist range ($45 for two glasses of red wine and a bottle of sparking water).

Catch a snack before your show, and enjoy the modern architecture

By Aslan's Traveler |

We have been here a few times to catch food/drink before a show. It's a little pricey, but what isn't in NYC/Times Square. But the food is good, and it's a fun place. The architecture is super modern and you should go just to see the atrium of this hotel, with the high-speed elevators constantly in motion from floor to floor. Our service was fast, though we did need to flag someone down for the check when it was time to head to our show. Overall, perfect spot to catch a snack before your show.

Good views

By anthony r |

This place is a good one for a drink and snacks with a great view over Times Sq. It now has the outside lounge with very comfortable furniture.

Great view of Times Square

By TPHOB |

This is a lounge on the eight floor of the Marriott Marquis hotel. It has curved street-facing floor to ceiling windows, and the floor "hangs" over Times Square a bit. Great views of Times Square from a Window seat. Nice comfortable place for a snack and a drink. Great location, average food and drinks, somewhat slow service. This is different from "The View" - the revolving restaurant on the 48th floor. Both venues are worth a visit. It is all about the view.

Window on Times Sq

By Jackie H |

We were lucky enough to have a window seat at Broadway Lounge for our first meal in NYC Did not disappoint! Our waiter John was lovely and really apologetic that the pizza took a while We didn’t mind as we were enjoying the view! Hotel is great also!

Dinner before the show

By my2kidsmom9702 |

It was a quick dinner before a show. We stopped in the restaurant in the lobby of our hotel before our show. It took them almost 10 minutes before our waitress took our drink orders...so we placed our dinner orders at the same time. No appetizers...just dinner. 30 minutes later, our dinners arrive, along with my husband's salad. The food was OK...nothing to write home about. When the bill arrived, we signed off to the room, and agreed to never eat here again. The service was meh, and the food was meh...for a bill of over $100 for 4 people....it was too much.

Nice location.

By Ashele_B |

Great view of the Times Square. Service and good is generally good. It is a bit expensive but that is expected. It can get very packed sometimes on Friday and Saturday.

Great view!

By Bethany C |

We picked this restaurant on a whim because we were going to see Beetlejuice after dinner, and we are so pleased we did! The view was FUN and the hostess was very kind and helped us find the seat with the best view. The chocolate sundae dessert was delicious! I definitely plan to go back!

Take a load off

By HandsomeHoward |

We had been walking for a few hours, knew we would end up here for lunch. My friend raved about the buffet breakfasts he'd had there a few times. This was a pleasant weekday and we dodged the cartoon characters hoping for a dollar for a picture & settled into a window booth above Times Square. Perfect, really. It was uncrowded, good service, adequate buffet lunch. It's the view, though. We weren't rushed, read the complementary paper, had a few drinks, all in the middle of one of the most exciting neighborhoods in the world. I'll be back.

Great views of Times Square and surprisingly good food

By LeighWalker1 |

I was with my daughter and two of my granddaughters (ages 12 and 17) for a girls' weekend. We booked a table for after our matinee of Wicked. The girls absolutely loved the view (took many selfies!). The menu is pretty broad and satisfied their teen appetites. The food was surprisingly good. This is, pure and simple, a tourist venue--not your cozy, private "local secret." But absolutely worth it for the fun the girls had. Probably a little expensive (really can't remember because it didn't matter). We made a reservation and paid an extra premium (maybe $20 or around that?) to guarantee a window table. All those Times Square lights, up close and personal!

Eh

By Karon B |

Overpriced and unimpressive menu. The service was also extremely slow, despite the restaurant not being crowded

Not Good

By mcleod59 |

For the Price, I would go and get good food and good service. this was below average and expensive for the food they served. $11 Coors Light and $18 wings. The wings were cold and the beer was warm

Broadway Lounge - Marriott Marquis

By BillSanJose_CA |

A fun, busy lounge, with great views of Time's Square, especially if you sit by the windows. Appetizer menu is available for a lite bite.

Reasonable Prices and Relaxing

By retiredandtraveling5 |

For NYC, the price for two cups of coffee (with refills) and a bowl of hearty chicken soup and fried chicken dumplings was reasonable, and you can sit and relax while you wait for your Broadway show to begin. It’s also a pleasure to have clean rest rooms to use!!

Perfect after-theatre lounge

By Ecmancini |

Just what we wanted after seeing a show. The tall chairs are comfy and give the impression of privacy even thought the space is out in the open. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. The Big Apple Mini was so much fun I had two of them.

A Miss

By Aundie73 |

Ambiance, drinks and service deserve the 4 stars. The food - huge miss. The mac and cheese with lobster is very bland. Mahi Mahi and the Salmon were dry. The shrimp tacos were full of cabbage. The shrimp were small- liked chopped. My favorite items were the focaccia and burrata and the Ryan spicy chicken. Totally will come back for drinks.

Ok when no live entertainment

By KNathan1999 |

Food is fine. Atmosphere is not for a sophisticated traveler. Decor is common. i saw the same pendant lights in condo lobbies and a cheap Korean lunch chain. The large space could really be extraordinary. This place is fine for tourists but twice I brought clients here and there was an awful "singer". I felt embarrassed for the musicians accompanying her. The staff didn't seem too happy either. Perhaps it was the overly dramatic, tone deaf entertainer. Jazz classics were sung poorly. Depressing. There are better places in Times Square to enjoy the view. The Marriot should look into who's managing this place and hiring "talent".

Stunning View - Scrumptous service!

By Chris S |

The food was good - service from Kyle was brilliant! He looked after us so well. The view was stunning from our window table. A more expensive meal but well worth it if you’re looking for a superb dining experience. Well worth every penny.

Great view, food was average

By Russell3939 |

I originally went to this restaurant because it was listed as a hidden gem with a great view. It does have a great view, the food was average at best. Here are some tips. When you come up to the restaurant, look for the stairs to the left. We found these after we ate, and there are great views from the top of the stairs. The way the restaurant works is the seating is first come first serve. The tables by the window are hard to get and the chairs for the tables are so packed in you can’t take the picture your looking for without either sitting at the table or interrupting a table and asking if they don’t mind moving to take a picture. If you are just looking for the picture, look for the stairs on the left. When we went up, there was no one else there. It was perfect. The food was high priced and the portions small for the price.

After theater cocktails

By Robert E |

After leaving theater and before retiring to our room for the evening, we enjoyed an after theater cocktail at the Broadway Lounge. Service was swift and efficient which was suprising as they were quite busy. The highlight of the evening was, watching the American soccer team score the two goals, in which they defeated the Netherlands for the FIFA 2019 Womens World Cup.

Nice view but very pricey drinks

By TravelFan48105 |

The Broadway Lounge is located on the 8th floor of the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel. This area is where the action is on Broadway and the location is perfect for a pre-theater or post-theater drink. The space is nice and the view of Times Square is great. However, be prepared for very high prices. My glass of Chateau St. Jean Chardonnay (which costs between $9.99 and $14.99 per bottle) cost me $15.00 for ONE glass plus tax and tip = $18.33! I guess you are paying for the view and location.

very convienient

By badbaruch57 |

its in the hotel building - efficient - I liked this Starbucks they were very helpful and efficient - grab there a quick coffee and bagel

Amazing Views - In need of a facelift!

By Rebecca B. |

The views say it all - the bar hovers over Times Square offering unparalled views. Cocktails/wine list is typical and acceptable for lunch, dinner, or just to relax and take in the views. Great location to meet friends before or after an event. Highly recommend the bar menu food as it is better than the lunch menu. Flatbreads are awesome as are the truffle fries and mini sliders. Service is always great. Really needs updated furniture/tables/chairs decor as it is showing its wear.

Cockails with a view!

By Susan P |

We arrived at the hotel late-ish Friday and decided to pop down for a drink. We sat on the outside terrace and luckily secured the corner front section for 4. Not sure if it was the excitement of just having arrived in NYC, but we ended up staying there the rest of the night and had the most fantastic evening. Our cocktails were sublime. Being able to see Times Square (you're pretty much in the middle of it all up there) but not be in the thick of it on the street was amazing. Decided to eat there too - shared flat breads, chicken wings, gyoza and a burger with fries - all great. Make no mistake, this isn't a cheap place by any means ($18+ tax min per drink) but it was an experience we won't easily forget. Incidentally we went back for a cocktail 2 nights later and ordered our favourite cocktail - it came mixed differently and we could instantly taste a difference. We had the same waitress as we'd had the first night and she found out we had a different barman on the first night. Sadly his shift had just ended so we didn't order a second cocktail as they simply were half as good.

Reasonable food

By Darrylswife0701 |

The lounge looks to be recently updated. It was beautiful view and busy nightlife on the weekend. We didn’t have any complaints.

Great View

By irishgirl8253 |

The view of Time Square is worth a visit but that was about it. The food is over priced bar food. Service was terrible. The waitress ignored us until I actually went to find someone who would help us.

Great Drinks!

By shash48 |

Drinks and passed snacks during a conference were excellent. Great view of Broadway from the front window.

Best view & elevator ride...

By Dr_Taniman |

Located at the heart of Manhattan this place worth the visit just for the ride with the most amazing elevators & the excellent view of times square. The food is just ok & the staff professional. It needs a major renovation, since the tables feel like eating at a fast food restaurant... Has great potential though & with few improvements could become great!

good service

By james k |

I've stayed at this hotel years ago and this lounge was awesome and huge. The partitioned it so that the best part looking over Times Square is not available. Only for conventions and events.

Amazing

By Melty Critic |

We booked a table here two nights before leaving NY and I have to admit that it was by far the best food I'd had all stay and definitely the best view. To get to this restaurant you need to head to the Marriott Marquis and take an elevator up. When at the floor you need to head past the little indoor farm display and wait at the host desk to be seated. I highly recommend booking a table. I chose the short rib, which was presented beautifully on mashed potatoes and broccoli with garlic and a stunning jus. The only issue was that there wasn't enough jus and the meat was ever so slightly dry without it. The atmosphere was very nice, airy, slightly fancy without being pretentious and the view from the window was stunning. The staff were friendly, very helpful and had a great sense of humour. They definitely went above and beyond, even though we aren't the most demanding of diners. Overall I highly recommend a visit.

Great spot in Times Square!

By Jeff J |

Had an excellent experience at the Broadway lounge. The hostess Brisa was so welcoming and was able to get us a beautiful table looking out on Times Square. The Food was great and the service by Shahed was wonderful!

Great Lounge

By Highlander-GG |

The Broadway Lounge is a great place to stop after a show when staying at the Marriott Marquis. The food and drinks are great.

Go-to kind of place...

By Montana Wms |

What a pleasant surprise to find that our "go to" place in theater district has upgraded everything! When Times Square is packed (like on Saturday nights, pre-shows), one can duck into Marriott Marquis. Take the elevator to floor six and head toward Broadway. Bartender was tops. Drinks well poured. New-to-us menu was a great diversity of small and big bites. Service was tops and open kitchen fun to watch. It is not obtrusive even though it serves two eating establishments in the hotel. For those wanting to watch sports while in the bar, the numerous screens allow comfortable viewing from many seats. Shouldn't tell about this place...or it will draw the crowds from outside but the staff and management deserve a shout out!

Location, Location

By bmkeswick |

This place overlooks Times Square, years ago it was a revolving restaurant but not anymore. Yet if you can get a place by the window you have great views. I would go again for that reason alone.

Meet Peter at Broadway lounge, Mariotte Marquis

By lotycoumba |

A must in NYC, great drinks, cocktails and drinks. But most of all you do want to meet Peter, the best host in NYC, professional, friendly, personable and charming.

Great views and great food

By mweavs21 |

Visited on a trip to New York during the Christmas period. We requested to sit by the window for the amazing views we'd read about, and the staff obliged kindly. The food was delicious, albeit a little pricey for the portion sizes. Drinks were really expensive, but was expected based on the city we were in! Staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend if visiting NYC!

Great views

By sjthomas1982 |

I pre booked a window seat as this was a treat for my daughters 15th birthday. The views are fantastic but you do pay an extra $25 for this privilege. The food was delicious I had the steak my daughter had the chicken. One thing I would say I did feel slightly rushed ordered drink then food was out 5 mins later for me personally I like to take my time when eating somewhere nice. I had finished but my daughter hadn’t yet they are coming and cleaning my plate away. I didn’t really want a pudding but ordered a cocktail to get a bit more enjoyment from the view otherwise would of been in and out within 45 mins I just think if your paying $250 for dinner for two this should be enjoyable not rushed. Overall food and drink was very nice. Location great!

Nice lively place to meet for drinks before and after dinner.

By Bob S |

The bar is very comfortable and the service is great. I didn't have dinner there, but the burgers looked fantastic! The waitstaff was very accommodating and cheerful

Try the Philly steak sandwich!

By Pamela S |

We spent an hour or two in this bar while waiting for the pouring rain to pass! The bar man was extremely friendly and helpful. It was quiet in the bar and the aircon was on even though it was a little cold already. We had a couple of drinks and decided to order something to eat. You must try the Philly cheese steak sandwich! It was one of the best steak sandwiches I have ever tasted. We even had a cheek to order the cheesecake to share after and to be honest I think we were both secretly disappointed we didn't order one each! The lounge has seating at the window with the best views of times square and shows different sports on large flat screen tvs. We both agreed, for a hotel bar, it wasn't as expensive as we expected. I would reccommend the Broadway Lounge for pre-drinks or a bite to eat if the weather is bad or if in a hurry, but I think anyone staying in New York should be out trying what the 1000s of restaurants in the city have to offer.

Astonishing

By thurg23 |

If you would like to have a closer view over the Times Square and to feel its vibe, this is the right place to be. We like to go either late in the morning ( and if the restaurant is still closed, we just grab a coffee from one of the shops inside the hotel for having something to drink while admiring the square ) or in the evening when it gets busier and the sun goes down and the lights of TS get powerful.

The view, the view!

By Sue N |

Booked this for views of bustling Times Square and were thrilled to be seated in the window where we viewed a constant stream of ads on huge screens for upcoming films and TV series. The traffic was bumper-to-bumper and the cars below looked like Dinky toys. Up close the majority are huge black SUVs with a driver only, totally incongruous in a congested city. Reasonably priced menu for typical US food in special location. Naturally I had a burger and friend had the three cheese toastie with tomato soup which she said was gorgeous. Marriott Hotel where this is located on 8th floor, is enormous and not well signed inside. Very busy but good service. Definitely worthwhile for people and traffic watching.

Very Relaxing

By KNic0le |

I ate here twice that last time I stayed in NY, mostly because I stayed in the hotel and it was easy. They had some pretty good Chicken Potstickers, they may have called them something else, but that's what they are. The portions are decent, but what everything is so freaking expensive. I know this is the norm for hotel restaurants, but geez Louise...absolutely ridiculous. I like the atmosphere because they have a bar, lounge chairs, high tables and regular tables. The seating is ample to say the least...however, many of the fabric seats were stained. Pretty unappealing for a restaurant. We walked around until we found seats that we could both sit in with the least amount of stains on them. Another thing that I was a little uncomfortable with was the fact that there were little kids in the Broadway lounge after midnight. I can appreciate that it's a part of the hotel so parents may not see the issue, but 99% adult, drinking...hmph! The waitress were not always attentive, one stating that they were short-handed. After we finished our meal, we still sat and had after dinner drinks, and one waitress came by and threw a menu on our table, not saying a word. She later came by asking what we wanted to order. The entire hotel runs smoothly with the exception of this spot. I think they need to hire more waitresses. The one waitress that seemed to handle herself and her customers well was an older African American lady. I might have rated it higher had the service been better, and the chairs were cleaner.

Time square views and amazing dinner !

By Amy |

It is a lovely restaurant to have dinner here and you must make sure to sit at the window's so you can see all time square view's. The food is incredible especially the fresh pepperoni pizza you must try it. It is worth the money as it is a luxury and is very nice. Would definitely go back here when i am next in NYC.

Nice place for time square view

By lazytravel |

Sit by the window with your favorite drink and people watch over Times Square. Drinks are ok, service is average.

Much improved food quality very clean very attentive staff and chairs were comfortable excellent ambience

By Faguna P |

They significantly improved the quality of food. Everything was delicious. Made reservations but fortuitously landed a window table! Food arrived in time bc we told them that we had Broadway show reservations. They may not have big menu but it’s diverse and great quality.

Great breathing space

By sarah w |

A lovely informal venue to have a coffee or a drink - and a great pause area if on business an opportunity for informal meetings or time out after a busy day. The open air balcony overlooks Times Square and is a perfect place to take in the atmosphere of the city

this is what I would call a tourist trap...

By Stephan G |

toooooo expensive for what it is.... its fast food on plates, and the masses are rolling in because the location on broadway and Times Squaire. In a first class hotel such as the Mariott Marquis I do expect sth more interesting, or exciting. We had Chicken wings, Cheeseboad and Chips 51 Dollar, no drinks included....

Nice for drinks

By Alfredo8074 |

We wanted to find a nice place to relax and have a drink after a day of shopping and walking around Manhattan, so we stopped at the Marriott Marquis in Midtown. Very elegant bar as expected. Prices are high but reasonable for a facilita of this type. The service was good and the drinks were very good.

Wonderful dinner with my family at the Broadway Lounge

By Justin W |

I have been to the Broadway Lounge many times and I really enjoy the food and service. When my family was in for the holidays, we had dinner here and really had a nice time. Ruth was our server and could not have been nicer and more attentive to us. She was a delight. I had the Roast Chicken sandwich with fries and it was delicious. The sandwich was over stuffed with a grilled chicken breast with sun dried tomatoes, lettuce and mayo. The fries were perfectly cooked and they give you plenty of them. I also got to try my brother’s Prosciutto and Arugula pizza and it was also delicious. They really put a lot of toppings on their pizzas. Everything was top quality here. The food and the service.

Just went for a drink with a view

By Andrea G |

Just went for a drink with a view and I got it. Open seating. We sat right by the window overlooking Times Square. A ton of seats. Inside the Marriott. I think it was on the 8th floor. Drinks are made kindly with a good amount of alcohol. Loved that they had phone chargers available. Like in all bars in the Times Square area the drinks were on the price year-end, but again it's worth the view. I will say I have been on bars with a nicer view though.

Drinks and a View

Post-Show Drinks & Food

By Kelli |

I didn’t have time to eat before making it to a nearby Broadway show, so I made a reservation here for afterwards. I had a lovely cocktail and the Broadway smash burger, both were great. My server was very nice and made sure I had everything I needed. The views of the lights of Times Square are a fun backdrop as well.

Great views and friendly for a large hotel bar.

By edds04 |

Make sure you get a seat near the window - or wait for one. Then sip your drink watching the lights in Times Square - like being in a movie

Liked it enough for a return visit

By ILoveTexas |

We came here when we visited NYC a year ago and enjoyed it enough to return this time. We had the same server. I wish I knew her name because she is unfailingly conscientious and polite. We had some really good martinis, a delicious cheese plate, and sea salt fries, along with a priceless view. It's not cheap but I think it's worth it for the nice experience.

Excellent food, great service, but expensive

By Glendyne R |

The food was delicious, fresh, and great quality. (Hubby had the steak and frites and I had the classic beef sliders). The steak was cooked perfectly. We found the prices to be a little on the expensive side ($6.50 just for a coke that was mostly ice!) but the meal hit the spot and was exactly what we were looking for after getting in late from a show. Our server was friendly and attentive. The place was not crowded and the view of Times Square was fun to see while we ate. Other than the price, we were really happy with our dining experience here.

Terrible ambiance and outdated!

By ECTraveler |

The Broadway Lounge was a huge disappointment during out stay. First, if you go on their website, it currently shows a hip and trendy colorful lounge that looks like a great place to hang out. In reality, it's NOTHING like that! It's a bland white space with ugly lighting and poor ambiance. After the shows, all we wanted to do was get a drink, but the bar was full and the hostess said the only way they would give us a table in the Broadway Lounge was if we bought food. We ended up getting the charcuterie tray, which was way overpriced for what you got. Perhaps the biggest disappointment of our stay was the wine at the hotel. My husband and I are avid wine drinkers and I checked the wine list for the Broadway Lounge online before coming. 17 red wines by the glass were offered. When we arrive, the menus they gave us only had 6 or 7 red wines by the glass. Then, to make matters worse, they informed us that all they had were 3 of those actually in stock. We ended up getting wine elsewhere, which was a big inconvenience. All in all, this was definitely not a 4 star hotel lounge.

Great restaurant vibe and amazing NYC Views

By Kelly E |

This was a special place. The food was good and the views were supreme. Went with my 16 year old daughter while in NYC for a mom-daughter trip. Loved going out on to the balcony with our pre-dinner drinks for fun photo ops and amazing views, while waiting for our food. Wait staff was great. Only negative is that it can be a little tricky to find within the hotel elevator system but it was worth the effort.

Great bar for after our excurions.

By Chevy57 |

Great bar for a drink after seeing the sites. Lots of TV's showing sports or you can get a table close to the windows. Nice staff and drinks.

It is like being at time square without the crowds and enjoying a cocktail. the service was very good and friendly, the bar menu your typical Marriott. The best is to get a table on the glass.

Great views of Times Square and good menu selection

My husband and I made reservations here as a recommendation from a friend d who new we were seeing a Broadway musical that night. Pretty restaurant with awesome views of Times Square. Based on some reviews, I wasn’t expecting a great meal bit I was surprised. I had the short ribs and my husband had a burger and they were both delicious. Service was a little slow but courteous.

Great Pre--Theater Spot!

By Karen K |

My wife and I visited the Broadway Lounge before we saw "Come from Away" (great show BTW!) This was our first visit to the lounge and we were pleasantly surprised. The bartender Ramsey is a real gem! So polite and attentive. The food was very good and the atmosphere was wonderful. A nice spot in a very busy hotel. We'll be back!

A Great Spot...

By Kwldtrvlr |

... if you are looking to relax with a view of Times Square. We stopped in on a Saturday evening the weekend before Christmas for a few drinks. The city was bustling with people so it was a great spot to just relax and have a few drinks. We had a table with a view of times Square which was pretty cool. I was with a group of 5 and we just stooped on for drinks. The service was great but the drinks were very expensive. You pay for the view!

Pleasant surrounding, wonderful service

By Mike R |

We were meeting friends from out of town, so we chose The Marriott Broadway Lounge because of its central location and reputation. Our friends arrived a bit late, but we were able to be seated at a table by the window with an incredible view of Times Square. Our servers were prompt and courteous and the food was quite good and reasonable for New York prices. We spent a good 2 hours there and never felt rushed or prompted to leave. We had entrees and coffee with drinks and the bill was about $150.00 including a 25% tip. We would definitely come here again for the food and ambiance of NYC.

Beautiful view of the city around Times Square and theater district

By LMK101 |

We stopped in before our show for a quick bite. Good selection of wines available. The burrata and prosciutto salad was delicious. The salad is big enough for two to share if you don't want a whole serving. The chicken noodle tasted homemade that day and was perfectly seasoned. Good service and close to the Theater for Hamilton!

Exceptional views.

By Graham W |

Fantastic views from the 8th floor overlooking Times Square but be prepared to pay heavily for a drink. Best tip nip in and nip out before the waiter comes. We are staying in the hotel so we know first hand how expensive it is.

Drinks with a view

By Stephen K |

This is s hotel lobby bar. Good views over Times Sq. I’ve been here on business & on personal. If it’s busy during a conference service is spotty & they don’t staff as they should at tables or the bar. If there’s no conference there’s no issues. I would recommend only for having drinks here. You’re in NYC, there’s lots of good dining options all around. This is not one of them. Great place for a drink with a view though.

Excellent view over Times Square

By Sophonthemove |

We came in here for a drink. We sat out on the terrace but the service was really slow so we ended up going back inside where the service was really fast. Great views, obviously the price of drinks is reflected in the location.

A Very Arrogant Manager

By Jeremy F |

I have just had breakfast at the Marriott Hotel in Times Square. Had an issue with a voided debit card and wanted a written confirmation it was cancelled. The restaurant manager was very arrogant and unhelpful. Not the level of customer service I would expect from Marriott.

Quick dinner before a show surprised by view.

By greeneyz4999 |

Came in on a Friday night around 630 (Valentine's Day weekend). No call aheads and plenty of space at or near windows. Unique upper time square view, love jazz like Music, polite server with good humor. Great for a few pics. Husband enjoyed his burger and I loved the red pepper hummus. Drinks are pricey but good luck finding low prices in the city. :) good place.

Surprisingly Nice Times Square Perch

By CarolynNYC |

We were meeting a friend who was staying in the hotel--he likes this place, says it's always comfy, easy, decent food and drinks, so we just stayed and had drinks and some appetizers before a show. There were lounges galore on this floor but this one had an 8th view overlooking Times Square and it was hallucinogenically wonderful. You couldn't see the street unless you sat at the windows, but from any angle, the huge flashing signs were kaleidescopic fun. Husband's G&T was "weak," but my 9 ounces of white wine was delicious (maybe because there were 9 ounces of it--hic!). One appetizer was a little gloppy--squash on bruschetta? The other was tasty--prosciutto & a slightly spicy dip for Italian bread, nice for sharing. Best: sweetly attentive service, unpretentious place to spread out (the lounge-y furniture is cartoonishly oversized, next time we'd sit at a banquette instead of the too low tables with slipper chairs that come nowhere near them. One of our party had to push us up to the table like elderly toddlers). BIG banquettes--bring the family (we saw families, single travelers, groups of friends). Bottom line: it's only cheap eats if you don't eat, basically, but it was a charming place to meet a friend for a glass of wine and an incredible backdrop of throbbing Times Square out the window.

First dinner in New York, and having it in this place, is to remember. I post a lot Cute and welcoming. Exceptional view... yes Time Square. Professional service. Food not what we expected (given the environment) but very good.

Great view

As any hotel bar it lacks charm or any vibe but it has GREAT views of Times Square if you get a seat by the window. The drink prices are not excessive by NYC standards and the wings were actually good. Service was surprisingly efficient but not overly friendly.

A warm welcome, thanks to Violette. Table well placed although I would have preferred a table on the fully occupied bay window side to admire their beautiful view of Times Square. Meal good; Top service; Reasonable value for money. I recommend

Late night drinks

Came here for drinks after a show. Great convenient location to many of the theaters. Broadway lounge has nice comfortable seating, nice view if so inclined and isn't too loud-was easy to hold a conversation with my significant other. The cocktail were quite pricey ($18) and hence avoided them. Waiting staff were a good mix of keeping their distance and giving us space but checking in once in a while to see if we were doing ok.

Comfortable and convenient for hotel guests, great service.

We enjoyed a good meal here. The service was very good and it was nice to just sit and relax for dinner without having to go out into the Times Square madness.

Fabulous restaurant

This is a first class restaurant with great staff and relaxed atmosphere. Went on Christmas Eve and it was a great meal with great views and service. There was no rush to get us served and they were quite happy to have us sit with a drink after our meal. Pizza’s were really tasty as was the other food. It was so good we went back a second time.

Sophisticated and elegant yet cozy atmosphere

Nice place to hang out befor the curtain call at the marquis theater, has an international flair, great bar and cocktails, great assortment of lite fares at the bar

Disappointed, but delighted

My Lady and I ate here for dinner one time. We were disappointed that the $22 Revel and Rye Turkey Club (Triple Decker with Roasted Turkey Breast, Bacon, Tomato, Lettuce, Mayonnaise and Pickle) that the website currently has listed as being on the dinner menu was not offered in the restaurant, itself. However, we each throughly enjoyed the Marriott Burger served with perfectly crispy fries and also the New York cheesecake. Service was very good.

Great Night Cap!

Great service provided tonight by Violetta and Kervin! Both were supper attentive to our needs and took the time to engage with us, and made us feel like more than just a customer. Food and drinks at the bar were excellent. Hats off to you both for creating a great atmosphere, and going above and beyond with customer service!

Terrible Service

I was at a conference all week at this hotel and not once got good service or a positive interaction. Ordered a drink Sunday night and the waitress gave my drink to a different table. Monday couldn't get served. Tuesday we had to physically run after a server to get something to eat. It's a central place and convenient for meetings but that's it. At one point I was told a glass of water (when ordered with a drink) was $6 for a bottle of still water - no glass of water with the drink. Ridiculous. A soft drink and glass of water was $13.
