Great coffee! Excellent breakfast sandwiches! One sandwich feeds two! Nice fresh fruit bowl. YUMMY!

We visited here a few times over a week for breakfast and dinner just off Time Square between 7th & 8th on 43rd. Staff were very nice and friendly it was very clean. The food was good for a chain. The price of the food is the same as all the others in the area. The reason for a 4 & not a 5 is because it’s a chain and you can’t adapt anything.

There are several sandwiches to choose from, both hot and cold. I got a hot sandwich and I think it could have been a little warmer but it was not terrible.

USA Brooklyn Delicatessen, 211 W. 43rd You never know when you “pop-in” into a new place to grab a quick bite to eat what exactly you’ll get. After touring The Palace Theatre on Broadway, a beautifully restored 1913 theater, we had a little time before our next meeting with our premier client, The Nederlander Organization. In town three weeks ago for the quarterly meeting of the League of Historic American Theatres, our walk to their offices took us in front of the Brooklyn Delicatessen – cannot miss it, their illuminated, white channeled lettered sign had to be 50-feet long! Peering inside, the deli looked well-appointed in a retro-1940s style or maybe it’s been that way all along. Plus, there were customers inside. What the heck, we decided to give it a try. I have a “thing” for Hot Pastrami Reuben Sandwiches – the eclectic taste is truly exotic. It was on their menu board and its image looked inviting. The friendly young waiter delivered our meals -- my colleague ordered a Rueben as well – on a plain white, standard, 10-inch diameter plate. There was the tiny Rueben and a ¼ long-sliced pickle. The first taste of this little sandwich: INSANELY delicious. How is it possible for something so small to be monumentally scrumptious? My colleague had the same reaction, unbelievably delicious! The ingredients for their Hot Pastrami Reuben were basic: Toasted Potato bun, Swiss Cheese, Russian dressing, and pickled juniper berry sauerkraut. Undoubtedly, this chef penned the magical-script for this blockbuster performance, a Tony Award winner for sure, and a venue worthy of all audiences. Bravo!

From start to finish the lady on the check out was rude & unprofessional, she refused to accept card unless I was paying cash and kept instructing to you auto machines, I did explain I wanted a custom sandwich due to my allergies but she refused, she then got my drink wrong after being forced to order on machine, for a hot late and a plane sandwich was a crazy $36.84 = £27:70 By far not worth the cost so so disappointing

Great food, friendly staff, quick service. Fresh made food. We had breakfast. Delicious. Clean restaurant and restrooms Would recommend.

This place served us well to crave a pastrami sandwich before leaving NY. It was good, rich and at a good price.

Today before an evening broadway show, my son, husband, and I went to find a nearby deli that had the classic NYC pastrami on rye. I had heard great reviews about pastrami and rye, so I wanted us all to try it. Brooklyn Deli made delicious pastrami and the service was great!!

I was staying at the nearby Salisbury Hotel, so this place is a short 5 minute walk away. Very convenient to my accommodation. I entered and the guys were watching a soccer match on the big screen. I ordered a large Pepperoni pizza, chicken wings and chips. Everything was yummy. I would recommend this place. I left them a big tip :)

Stopped for a takeout lunch and weren’t disappointed. Tasty and generous portions, nicely prepared by friendly staff.

Absolutely terrible Food and coffee. Expectations were not high given that we’re at JFK airport, but this place sinks the food experience below zero. Overpriced (expected), but also inedible and the coffees were thrown straight in the bin. Feel sorry for the staff members working here, who take the brunt of this terrible experience. Seriously airport admin, shut this place down

Outstanding great fun pleasantville place and the waitress are cool and fab but the food is out of this planet come eat at Brooklyn

I am a New Yorker grew up on Katz, Queens Deli,Carnegie Deli, Roxy even Wolfes back in the day. This was the worse pastrami ever!!!. I asked for rye and he gave me marble and then i said may i have rye he said this is rye. i saw the pastrami ends on the board and saw he had to heat it so i knew it had been lying there. I said may i have fresh not the ends, he said no these are not the ends to my face and packaged them and gave to me. It is raining and did not feel like making a scene. However, after paying 20 dollars for a sandwich amd after i took a bite, since it was to go in the car, it was terrible. I decided to let every one know especially for those out of towners wanting a solid NY Deli Pastrami experience go Katz or Queens but stay away from here.

Friendly and fast service, right price and rich food. Quiet and pleasant place, drinks with free refill.

Friendly service and delicious burgers, close to time Square and priced fine, have been there several times, gladly again

Excellent variety of food best sandwiches, fast and location best reflection of NY......good.variety of pizza

Very nice a friendly place. I had the best pastrami sandwich I've ever had - juicy as could be you could tell it was made to order with fresh meat. I went with the Half Sandwich/Cup of soup option and also loved the cole slaw and pickle wedge that was included. Soup was OK. Everything else was AMAZING!

We were hoping for more of a sit-down experience but here you ordered at the counter and held on to the 10-15 seats available. So, don't come here for the "deli" atmosphere but do come here for the food. The pastrami was to die for, and we efficiently shared a sandwich.

Great spot for hot meals at affordable prices near Carnegie Hall. Pastrami sandwiches are excellent, the corned beef is juicy and perfectly spiced. The menu also presents a decent selection of other Kosher deli sandwiches and hearty soups. High tables with bar stools are not exactly accessible for wheelchairs, but otherwise pretty comfy seating. The space is very clean.

A friend and I came here for lunch. The prices aren’t crazy and the portions are good, plus any place with fountain sodas (free refills!) is a plus since so many places serve bottles or cans. I ordered the chicken parm sandwich and it was pretty good - it could have used a little salt in either the sauce or the bread topping, but it was still good. I also got a big bag of potato chips to share with my friend and they were good too. Breakfast menu looks good - I’ll have to come back some time!

Delicious bagels - the smoked salmon a d cream cheeses was incredible. Fabulous coffee sourced locally Definitely recommended

With a couple day in Manhattan, a classic deli meal was on the agenda and, based on the review for the Brooklyn Delicatessen, we stopped here for lunch and left impressed. Read on for details. A short walk from the Port Authority building, the BD offers a large indoor space that I'm told is packed from breakfast until late morning and then from 3pm to closing. For us at noon, it was empty. You order from the counter, take a seat and your food is delivered; so sorta like table service. You do serve your own drinks. We split the class Hot Pastrami (and not the Skyscraper Pastrami) sandwich. A little of the provided spicy mustard was added and....wow. Thick slabs of rare, beefy, smokey, a bit salt and very moist slabs of pastrami were piled on the marble rye bread and all I kept thinking was "why am I sharing this sandwich I want the whole thing. " I would place this in the "best hot pastrami ever" category. There are certain meal items, non-fancy items that can be just perfect and as satisfying as the most expensive/elaborate dish and this sandwich was one of those things, even if the sandwich is, actually pretty expensive ($20). A slab the ginormous chocolate cake strategically by the counter was very good, though not $14/slice good. The mug of cappucino from the automatic machine at $6 was fine just fine. Lunch for two, including one shared sandwich, came to $60 with gratuity. While that felt like a lot for a sandwich, it's not going to stop me from getting the SkyScraper version of the hot pastrami...and not sharing it.

Hot pastrami on rye was a disappointment. Very fatty and bland. Will not be going there again, suggest you find an alternative

Do you go For the pastrami or corned beef well we tried both and they were outstanding. Fresh bread. Great slaw on the side and great service

Be aware of this place. Stay away!! The sandwiches they serve are NOTHING like the ones shown on their signs. The pictures they show are five times of what they serve. Also, don't bother asking for lean meat, like a 'lean pastrami' sandwich; the meat was greasy and fool of fat. Stay alert in this place: don't let them charge you for the tip which they automatically add when you are about to pay with credit card; tell them to remove the tip (no one in NY charges tip for counter service). Best way to eat here is by STAYING AWAY!! (gave it only one star because there is no lesser choice, and don't deserve).

Super friendly and super good. When entering for lunch we were offered thick cut slices of pastrami right off the roast in front of us to taste test. They got us. We had hot pastrami reubens and classic hot pastrami sandwiches. Will be our new go to pastrami spot.

I went here at JFK and a tuna sandwich was only 20 dollars. I thought that for that price it would be an outstanding sandwich. it was pretty good but not 30 dollars good. The service was slow but ok.

We were walking around early morning as you do when visiting NYC still on UK time and trying to find somewhere for breakfast and stumbled across this little gem. The Delicatessan was clean and inviting and the staff really friendly and helpful. We ordered an assortment of breakfasts and all very pleased with our choices. Definitely worth a visit while in NYC.
Popular spot
Busy Sunday noon but we had a booth. Good service. Matzoh ball soup just ok. Actually pretty bland. Convenient to Carnegie Hall.
