Great food and serving sizes, drinks are also fantastico, service was awesome. How about coupons? Yes please sign up for the list and they send $15/20/25 coupons all the time, we used one for 20 off of 40 or more, so worth it, we will be back

Family style, food was a little different not so much the usual fare, a nice twist on the normal selections. The staff is excellent, our waiter was so accommodating and got us out in time to get to the theater.

I have visited this restaurant in Albany several times on business. I was so excited to see it in NYC so I could share it with family. Food is served family style - lots and lots of food. Choices are great - food is very good. Feel of restaurant is casual but neat. Kids loved it - especially the desserts. Don't miss it.

The cheesecake was to die for and at the size of the portion it very nearly was death by food !! another hidden gem ..

The food here was definitely average. It's basically a step up from The Olive Garden. It's great if you're looking for an inexpensive meal and the restaurant is very family friendly. Some of their dishes were okay, but others were not. I thought their pepperoni pizza was the worst that I ever had. I will note that the service was good. However, there are much better options for Italian food in NYC.

We went to see a Broadway play and after decided to give this chain a try. if you know me you know I don't review chain restaurants unless they are super good. I got a free meal for signing up for their newsletter. Is a family style restaurant portions are big but not super big. I had the best white sangria I ever had. We ordered the canelone filled with chicken and cheese, spaghetti carbonata and baked city everything was amazing. I haven't had pasta so tasty out of my own kitchen. The bad is that is located in time square and it's a headache to get there with all the tourist but worthy of the hassle.

My wife and I ordered the small and the serving was still so huge. The service and quality of food did not disappoint. Recommend the visit and the meatball dish with garlic bread, For Sure!

The food was very good but the place was extremely busy with we felt rushed to eat our food and didn't enjoy as much as we should have the staff was great but wouldn't recommend on rush hour.

Whenever we have an opportunity to dine at a Bucca Di Beppo with a large group (14), we take advantage of it! The food is delicious and in huge portions, all family style. This was our first time at the NYC location and we were NOT disappointed. The staff was attentive and actually made room for us about an hour earlier than our reservation. We had our own room (Cardinal Room) with traditional red and white checkered table clothes. The restaurant was packed after the Broadway matinees let out and everything managed to come out fast, hot and fresh. All of the salads, meats and pastas were delicious!

We visited here as we had the New York Pass and granted you $10 off two dishes. We were unprepared for the HUGE portion of Bruscetta that arrived to us in a big Martini glass. The size of it was overwhelming, however we did finish it. This stopped us from finishing our main meal which was a shared pizza, so beware of what you order and ask the waitress how many people a certain dish would feed. Any leftovers, the waiter will ask if you wish to take it home. Food came really quickly, the food was authentically Italian, the service was lovely, and overall an enjoyable evening.

Love their family style plates but be sure that you go with people that like the same dinners as you. You cant really order for one.

Where do I start!? The food was unbelievable, the staff were incredible and the setting was cosy and family style. The menu didn't joke about sharing plates, 6 of us (who are all extremely big eaters) struggled to get through 4 large portions and a salad. The staff were helpful and more than happy to cater to every dietary whim placed in front of them. We spent Christmas Dinner here and I am glad we did!

Not the best restaurant to visit solo. The whole menu is for more than one person (hence the prices) but the food is amazing! The day I went some photographer was goin around offering free photos. Ofcourse they try and sell you more but you can definitely get a freebie

My daughter had already been to this restaurant twice and recommended it highly. The food was very tasty but our service left much to be desired. Our food and our salad came out together, so while we ate our salad our food sat there getting cold. When I asked if that was the normal way they served their food she said “YES”! My grandson said that was not the way he remembered it being the other two times. We had to ask another server for bread. My grandson ordered lemonade and we were charged for his refill. When I questioned the server she said that was how they did refills. As I was leaving I asked the hostess and she said “No, refills were free”. The manager was standing there and he told my daughter the same thing but made no attempt to offer a refund. As we left we heard the manager talking to the server. I hate the one server ruined our experience.

The food and service at Bucca are equally fantastic. The service is quick and friendly with waiters who genuinely seem to care about the families coming in to dine. The portions are huge. Be careful, a small is not so small and we see many people ordering far too much as they don't realize that a couple of small dishes can easily feed 3 people. The free hot bread is always welcome and singing waiters doing a wacky birthday song can be very entertaining.

Above planet Hollywood, this place is amazing!!! I had a margherita pizza from memory and it wash the best pizza I've had in my life, and I've had a few! I couldn't find good pizza in America apart from at this place! It's so quiet and such a nice retreat from the business of Times Square. When we went it wasn't busy at all. Though they say you can share things, my brother and I (we were 17 & 14 respectively) easily ate a whole pizza each. The dessert is so good, we ordered the Collosal sundae and shared it between the 5 of us. The staff were amazing, didn't even have to write down your order to remember it! They were amazing, best pizza ever!!!!!

Very tasty food, and it arrived quickly. The waiters were very kind . The restaurant has a great location at Times Square.

Great little spot, very Italian! Great service from start to finish, food was out quickly. Pasta was fantastic and the mozzarella garlic bread was a big hit. Good sized portions without being over the top, nice beers on tap and reasonably priced. Definitely a good escape from the madness of Times Square

Great value for money right at Times Square. Food was better than I've experienced at much more pricier Italian restaurants. Very very generous portions. It did seem odd though that 6pm it was still fairly empty.

Bucca di Beppo provided affordable great tasting food. Much more relaxed atmosphere than Planet Hollywood located below. The chicken parmigiana was great followed by the Italian Creme Cake. Highly recommended.

Wow, what a great place to stop while in NYC! The best Italian food I've had in awhile, and large quantities. Great value too. Entrees are around $15 for lunch which I think is pretty standard in NYC. We had the Sightseeing Pass and this was included. Glad it was on there, we were pleasantly surprised! Lovely decor too.

The restaurant looks cool and is very large. The food itself is very poor. The salad was the best part of the meal. The chicken and pasta were disgusting and the bread was literally a loaf of bread from the grocery store. Not what I expected from reading most of the reviews on here, disappointed.

Situated in Time Square, it is worth a visit if you want a taste of Italian food and tasty cocktails , New Style. Good value for money, great atmosphere and very friendly and courteouse staff. Well worth a visit.

I took a group of 40 to this venue for a 5:15pm booking, and it was a terrible experience. Firstly, once we were in the foyer waiting for the lift, we were asked to move outside to line up on the street, even though it was empty. Once inside, they gave us a room that was too small for our group, and were told to send 10 students into another room. When asking for Gluten free options we were told this was not an option for us (even though this had been pre-arranged). Once we complained, the matter was resolved at a National level, however I would advise staying clear of this venue if you are travelling with a group.

This was our second visit to this restaurant, the previous was on our last visit to NY three years ago. The portions are still huge!!! We ordered spaghetti marinara and eggplant parmigiana. Both were nice but we could not finish them. One entree between us would have been more than enough.

We made reservations at the wrong Tony Di Napoli's location for before the theater. Ended up frantically looking for a place on Opentable that we could get into. This had four stars, so expected ok food. The decor was cheesy, food was just ok, service was very poor. There were very few people there. Spent $90 and should have just gone to Shake Shack. A few days later we did get to Tony's, where food and service were excellent - even with a packed restaurant.

Bucco Di Beppo is a chain, but maintains a the best qualities of popular red sauce cuisine -- nothing fancy, but tasty. Dishes are served family style, serving up to 4 people per dish. The family style keeps the expenses down. There is no shortage of great Italian restaurants in NYC, but Bucca, located in the hearts of the Broadway district, is a decent choice for a pre- or post-theatre dinner for larger parties.

I selected this restaurant because it was part of the NYC Restaurant Week and located next to our hotel. I am so glad that I did. We will certainly be back! The restaurant was beautifully decorated and clean. The staff was amazing. There was a huge choice of wine selections and you were able to choose a glass, bottle or 3 ounce sip. The food was out of this world. My friend order the caprese salad and salmon off the restaurant week menu. She loved it. I had the Carpaccio di Manzo, which was one of the best I have ever tasted, and I order this dish a lot. I also had the GNOCCHI ALLA SORRENTINA which was also delicious. What impressed us the most was that Fettucine Alfredo. We were with 2 children who wanted items that were not on the menu. The waiter graciously assured us that they could make the alfredo and a pasta with butter for them. The Alfredo was TO DIE FOR. The adults tasted it and loved it. My daughter said it was her favorite ever!

I've been to Bucca in other cities and always have a great time. The portions are HUGE - made for sharing. Before you order, ask the server what size to order because they are so big. Our party of three had a salad, a main dish and a side and it was plenty. The server was attentive, friendly and helpful. And the food was excellent. For a predictably good experience, try Bucca.

In Vegas we tried this restaurant. And unfortunately I was disappointed. Service was friendly. Food was not very good. The family style concept is ridiculous. You have to order 30 dollars worth of chicken and..... that's all you get. That's it. A dish "family " style is one dish. So..... if you want a salad...it has to be a big bowl family style..... meaning..... its for 2 and you both better like the same salad dressing. The chicken was not tasty. It looked like it was microwaved. It tasted like it. Conveniently located in the casino. And not crowded...which should have been a clue....

We went to this restaurant/bar by chance as we had looked at the restaurant on the floor below and found the blaring music too much for us , so we went up a floor for a late, late lunch. We sat at the bar and had delicious light bites served with cheerful chat. One dish came by mistake but was left with us anyway at no charge. Try the small pizza a grade or two above the solid or soggy offerings often served in NY.

Our group of 10 had a lovely meal. Calamari was tasty and not oily. Stuffed mushrooms were delicious . Shared Caesar salad (ok, dressing a little heavy) and a warm cheese and apple salad (very tasty). Chicken Marsala was tender but a little sweet for my taste, ziti were plentiful and cooked perfect, shrimp Fran Diablo was spicy but well received by takers and fettuccine Alfredo was creamy and light. Red sangria is much better than white which tasted almost like OJ. When they say family style believe them, we had a ton of leftovers😝 Ambiance was eclectic and fun and private seating areas were nice. Would return for sure. Nice access to Times Square and theater district.

This place was nothing special, but it wasn’t bad. It’s all family style which we weren’t expecting, but weren’t mad at. The service was a bit slow but the food was good. We wish there was at least an option to get a singular portion of something, because everyone in our family likes and dislikes different things. Apparently “Bucca di Beppo” translates to “Joe’s Basement” and it really does give off a chill basement vibe. We probably won’t be returning, just because here’s so many better places in New York

if you are into Italian food, this is the place for your -- their spaghetti with meatballs is piled high and their garlic bread is quite tasty. this is a chain, so Bucca Di Beppo can be found in other cities as well

We went the first time for cannolli and it was fantastic!!! One of the best I'd had in NYC. The second time we went, we couldn't get in without a reservation. Make a reservation!!!

Whenever I'm in an unfamiliar place, I try to stick to eating at locations that I am familiar with (typically chain restaurants). Our group leader booked this place and it did not disappoint. The service was spot on. The food was delicious and served hot. I would not have expected that serving a 40 member party. The cheesecake was to die for! If I ever return to New York, I will return to this restaurant.

We’ve been a few time over the years as a couple. It was always somewhere we loved to go sit at happy hour get a few drinks and snacks and escape the hustle and bustle for a while. We had told friends and family about it and they loved it also whenever they visited. We told our son all about it and he was looking forward to going and so we’re we. We had travelled over from Scotland. We went in during the day around 1 (not a customer in the place) and we asked if happy hour was still on later etc and the girl said you of course you 3 can come back between 3 and 7. So we did. When we walked in (again not a customer in the place), a lady with a bun in her hair, quite short looked me up and down for several seconds without saying anything she started walking to the back of the restaurant. We assumed we were to follow. When she went to seat us we asked could we not be around in an empty corner could we sit near the bar. She huffed and walked us to the bar area, placed the menus down and walked away. Again not saying much. A man took over who was pleasant. We said we were only in for a few happy hour drinks and some flat breads etc. He said he couldn’t give us it as we had to sit on the bar stools and our teenager wasn’t allowed. He said if it was up to him he would but he said he would get in trouble by the manager. At this point the lady in the bun was still staring me up and down from the bar area. We felt so unwelcome, really uncomfortable and got up to leave. No one spoke to us. Only about us to each other as we walked to the lifts. Shame on you guys. I expected so much better! The fact that you were so quiet shows that this place has lost its charm.

We were in NY one week And three time we came for dinner at Buca di Bepo. Very delicious Food and good service. I recommend this restoran If you Like “touch” of Italy

this place had good reviews so my husband and I, being huge Italian food fans, decided to try it since it was near our hotel in Times Square. it is a very cool atmosphere, we had no wait & our server was great. however, the food was expensive & the pizza was NOT good! I was told NY had the best pizza, but not here! the calamari was pretty good though. just skip it & head somewhere else......

Awful company. Food is bland and overpriced and they treat their employees like garbage saying this from experience

Knowing that the quality of chain restaurants in Times Square is exceptionally poor when compared to their contemporaries across the country, Bucca Di Beppo was average for the area. I had the spicy chicken pasta and a beer. I had to get in and out for a meeting. The service was good.

Wow what a great time my husband and I had! The food was off the charts. Service was great! The atmosphere was awesome. Prices are so good! You need to try it! The dessert is heavenly!

We've visited Bucca Di Beppo in other places. This one is our least favorite so far. I understand the need for turnover, but there was no time to relax and enjoy our meal. The bartender was very friendly and helpful, but the servers dropped the food off and ran away and never checked on us once. The food is served family style and I had to get up ask the bartender to have someone bring us plates. We felt that while the food was good, it was not anything special and the service was lackluster. It was also more expensive than it should be, but it is in Times Square, so it's to be expected.

Great italian food. Big portions to be shared between 2 to 3 people. Superb quality. Service was ok but the food surpasses it. The penne a la vodka was out of this world

Went on a Tussday at 730pm. Had made a reservation during the afternoon just in case but there were in face a number of tables available when we arrived. Portions are advertised for 2-3 adults and our pizza and salad (1 of each) were certainty substantial. We had a lot of salad left over at the end of the meal. Good quality food. Service friendly & helpful.

if you'd like a lot of cheap food rather than fine quality ingredients and excellent cooking, at a low price, this is the place for you

We visited twice last week during thanksgiving. Our first visit early lunchtime.... Very quiet. Seated quickly. Asked for cappuccinos....They don't do them apparently but they were on thanksgiving day menu? We ordered regular coffee which was warm. No refills offered. We ordered soup and hot sandwich. Saw later we were charged $6.99 instead of $2.99 for soup. Soup and sandwiches arrived together...race to eat soup before sandwich went cold! Good flavours though! Next visit...thanksgiving day...late lunch. It was busy. We had booked a table and were seated quickly but even though we were ready to order we were not approached. We waited around 30 mins.We were about to leave when finally approached. We told server howling we had waited and got our soft drinks for free. Thanksgiving dinner was very nice but not hot. Verdict...good food questionable service

Every time I go to this restaurant, I fell like having done a good choice. This is an easy to access place, 1 minute walking from times square, full of beautiful decoration, very special. But the most special there is food! All the pastas and preparations are tasty. Really tasty. I live in Brazil, and go to NY every year, and then I make sure that I go for dinner at least once in this place when I am there.

What can I say bad about this restaurant? Nothing. Again, my wife needs gluten free and the server made sure that whatever she was getting, Manny (our server) made the trips back and forth asking the chef if this or that was safe for her. Everything was perfect. We were feeling the Christmas spirit around us so we asked Manny if he had a special Christmas cheer drink for the season. He said he did a mean Blueberry Lemonade. We said why not. Well that was delicious! Oh what I'd give to have one right now...Manny, after your shift, call me. I'll pick you up if I have too!!! Service, waiters, everything was just perfect. Nothing bad about this place. Sure would go again in a heartbeat!!

we were with family and looking for a quick bite in the times square area. we just happened to stop in here because it was convenient. Surprise.......the food was actually good and we had a great time.

We stumbled upon Bucca's while heading back to TImes Square. Great decor with all the pictures and artifacts. The food was great, very friendly service and the price made me feel like I was home, not in NYC if you know what I mean. We'll be back again! Try it...you'll love it!

Even though it's a "chain" restaurant, the food is very good. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're in Italy.

We came here after doing a little bit of shopping in Times Square and we had all been craving Italian. Although only doing family sized portions this was fine as there was 4 of us so we could share Two different meals each. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was amazing and the service was superb.

Great place to relax with family for a great dinner great potions Food is great as well as the service the server was wonderful The only thing we didn'tcare for wad the eggplant but everything else was great Too chewy and too much skin

We had been once before, with a large party (20) and had a great experience. Went back today, and was completely disappointed in the service. Our server couldn’t have been any less attentive, for an empty restaurant-there’s no excuse. Otherwise, the food was decent, the sangria was strong, and we left full and the kids were pleased to end their day with ice cream.

To be fair the food they serve is good. The decor is excellent, nice atmosphere with great music. What let things down was the customer service. Nobody watching the elevator so when it's busy people push in line and names don't end up being taken. We waited 30 mins to be seated, when we were seated our order was taken and appetiser served. We hadn't finished our appetiser and my wife's meal just placed down in front of her, my main meal however just never turned up after waiting and waiting. We asked our server and she had forgotten to place my order, why do servers try and remember people's orders these days? Good old paper and pen never fails and you can read it back to the customer. Needles to say we left shortly after this as my wife's meal had gone cold waiting for my non existent meal to arrive. There was a distinct lack of management in the place, seemed like the bar staff were in charge. Just a supervisor or 2 could really change things around here had a similar experience in 2013, unfortunately nothing much gas changed

Very good price for 2 people to have pizza by Times Square. Everyone was friendly and the decor had its own charm about it.

It was our last night in New York and we wanted to go somewhere close to the hotel as it was cold and raining outside. We got up in the lift to the 2nd floor and once there realised there were no windows, we had to then wait 15 minutes to get seated. Its obviously very popular with tourists as its huge and big menu and very busy. The food we had a ceaser salad to share was huge but not impressive lettuce was not even very fresh. The other salad we had was average. The waiters were creepy trying to be too friendly and touching our back. The whole place had a weird smell and feel to it, its over priced and just not worth going to this was certainly my least favourite place we dined at in our 4 days in New York.

We came here on Valentine's Day. We only booked the night before on open table. Very easy to book and was able to get a table at a perfect time. Food was very nice, even thou the messed up our type of garlic bread we ordered, but we wasn't bothered as it was still nice and didn't want cause a Problem. They say the meals are for sharing, it states on the menu how many the meals share between. I will say what we orders wasn't enough for me and my partner, we should of orders more. But I can't complain on how nice the food was. The staff was lovely and very helpful.

No wine, No beer, No bread, wrong order..... it was endless..... service was awful, a defiante tourist trap off Times Square... there are so many options in New York, skip this place

Went to this restaurant after hearing great reviews from my friends. I had the shrimp linguini and spinach plate. It was flavorless and not to my liking. I’ve has better pasta at Olive Garden and for a reasonable price. We spent over $100 and I wasn’t pleased. He in turn did like it.

Our group of 6 decided to go to Bucca in the theater district Monday evening. We got the at about 6:45 and were met by a guard who informed us that we would have to wait until 7:30 unless we had a reservation. I asked if there were tables available and he said he could not tell me. He had a clipboard with the names of those who had reservations. I asked if I could make a reservation right then and he said I'd have to call to make the reservation. I asked for the phone number and he said Google it. I asked again and he said " it's public information, you'll have to Google it." We left never to return. We have always enjoyed going to various Buccas but will likely never have that pleasure again. If the actions of the guard were sanctioned by the restaurant they need to rethink their approach to customer service. If his actions were not reflective of Bucca's approach to customer service, the guard should be looking for a new job where interacting with the public is not required.

This place is a one where food needs to be shared, dont expect to have it on your own as portions are huge, you are already advised tho at the beginning. we shared an starter and also the main and i couldnt really finish what should have been for me. the bill wasnt expensive neither. apparently the table next to us had had loads of problems and after complaining about it i saw how they were told not to pay at all so that was really kind of the restaurant.

We chose to go here after wanting to try the Las Vegas Bucca but never got around to it. As it was Thanks Giving we wanted to try and do traditional; it had a good menu so we decided to try it. I am glad we did as it was absolutely delish! Never had italian style stuffing before, but this was unreal. We ordered too much and was able to take it away, which we gave to the homeless. Definately value for money and would go back for traditional Italian food when next in New York!

We were a table of 11, we sat in the Cardinal Room with family from Baltimore and Jersey. Our server was great...the draft beer lines were acting up, so we waited for 15 -20 minutes for 4 pitchers of beer throughout our dinner. The food was a hit and a miss!!!! The pizza was undercooked and not much sauce on it. The linguine with Frutti di Mare had sparce seafood, more mussels then anything else. The Antipasti salad was the only good thing we ordered. I sat directly across from the Cardinal hat that was hanging off the wall. Management needs to check it for cleanliness. There must have been 3 years of dust on it (see picture). Basically a tourist trap, if you’re a New York City native, don’t bother.

We had a 30 minute wait even with a reservation. Our server was very friendly and helped us so we did not over order. Food was ok, nothing special. The tomato sauce was bland and had a sweetness to it that we did not like. I would not recommend this place with so many other options in Times Square.

We had excellent food, but our service was terrible. They were out of the wine we wanted, so we ordered a different bottle...it came after we finished our dinner. We didn't get water until we were finished with salad, bread and half of our dinner. We had to ask for a clean oil plate, silverware for one in our party and dinner plates. We were never offered dessert. Maybe we had a new waiter, as the food was good as always at" Bucca.

We visited the Times Square restaurant after having enjoyed the Vegas restaurants. When we arrived we barely got a hello just looked at and taken to a table. We were the only table in at 2pm in the afternoon. We were eventually asked if we were ready to order but no name or intro given. Not even a smile. Weren’t asked about drinks we had to add them on at end of order. Food arrived. Not as good as Vegas restaurant but edible. Once finished we asked for the bill twice and were given a bill. We then were sorting out payment when he ran over and said he’d forgot to put the drinks. In all honesty we hadn’t even noticed but were happy to receive new bill. We left a small tip to reflect the level of service we had received. We then went to leave the restaurant and they have a lift as they are on the third floor. The waiter then came running over in anger to remind us that a tip wasn’t included in the bill. So basically he wasn’t happy that we hadn’t left “enough”. We explained that the service didn’t warrant a bigger tip. He wasn’t pleased as we left. Found this to be quite intimating and embarrassing and we definitely won’t be returning to any of their restaurants!!

I made reservations for this restaurant, however when we got there the restaurant was empty. The dinner portions are large, geared for at least three people. The food is average, and we ordered the Chicken Parmesan and Veal Parmesan which were very heavily breaded. Service seemed to take forever. I would not go there again.

The food was exactly how they advertised it - enough to tale away. We were two of us and had pasta and garlic bread and had enough to take away. The atmosphere was fun with some great country and western music playing. Service was very friendly and efficient -we didn't have to wait for long. Although we waited at the bar for a table for about 10 minutes. Not sure I could eat like that every day though! Very rich food and too much! Good for big groups of people.

Had dinner there, Everything is served family style, Ordered salad which was just lettuce some onions and a few olives nothing else, Ordered the Chicken Marsala the worst I've ever had, Nasty sauce they put maple syrup in the Marsala sauce terrible taste, Never go there again, Not worth the money

Good food and location - nice atmosphere - waitress was very accomodating. I forgot this was family style so was a bit hard to order since my son is very picky with his pasta. Made it work however.

I went with a friend to New York the weekend before Christmas and one night we wanted to eat Italian. So we chose this restaurant .... Bucca Di Beppo. We didn't have reservations but they still accommodated us. Which was really nice and greatly appreciated ... since we were starving. The waiter was really nice and helped us with our choices. The portions are big so we shared the appetizer and meal. We had fresh mozzarella, basil and tomatoes as appetizer and we had pasta and chicken with a spicy rosee sauce. Best pasta I've had in a while. The meal was delicious. We couldn't stop eating. The service was amazing. Very friendly and fast. I would definitely go there again and would highly recommend it.

The food is very good, but it is all served family style. so even the small portion is more than enough for two or three people. I found it to be a little pricey, but you are in the heart of Manhattan

I would like to start off by saying, the food was amazing. That is where the amazing stops.... The lighting was very dim, it was difficult to see the menu. The service was terrible our server, did not know the menu, made us wait 20 mins after our salad was delivered and someone else THREW our entree on the table. We had to go to the hostess and ask for our check...we had asked for a meatball after we placed our order, and found it was 12.99 for 1 meatball! Mind you the family style menu was great and plenty of food, but the meatball was grossly overpriced. So, in all value (except the meatball) was great, service was terrible, and ambiance good except for the lighting.

I was with a group totaling about 70 middle schoolers and their families. We had preordered. The service was ok and the food was ok. It looked liked it was premade, not hot, like it had been sitting out. Nothing special.

All I can say is overtime I go to NYC i go here! I love it!!! IT has a great feel and you can even sit in the ditch if you want to!!!

Four of us had dinner here after attending a Broadway play. We were very please with the quality and quantity of the food. The serving are family style so don't over order. Small portion will serve three - four individuals. The service was very good. The four of us had a great dinner including drinks for $125. I very good price for New York. The restaurant is located right on Time Square. So enjoy the food and scenery. Definitely recommend this place if you are the mood for Italian food.

Great food, the staff was nice and outgoing but there was no one there. Literally, we were there from 7 to 9pm and we were the only people in the restaurant. For us it was great, we could be ourselves and have fun. I don't know if it is usually like that.

We went on a Friday night, however, the restaurant was not crowded at all so we were able to be seated right away. Upon arrival, we were not greeted and were ignored by multiple employees before we were finally seated. As previously mentioned, the restuarant wasnt crowded, however, the hostess proceeded to seat us directly next to a large and rowdy group that had their stuff in the booth where we were to be seated and didnt think to move their belongings. We requested an empty table some ways away from the group, however, after waiting for 15 minutes for someone to come to our table to greet us and take our orders, we decided to leave. I love Bucca Di Beppo, however, the customer service at this location sucks!!!!

Located just off Times Square in the big, bad City …. where one has to watch out for the tourists, buses, cars, pedestrians, tourists, hawkers, shysters, tourists, cheats, pickpockets, tourists, costumed superheroes awaiting clueless tourists.. and all else ~ there also lurks the special breed of merchant known as the “tourist trap.” Having said that… This establishment is on West 45th Street, one floor up and right above the famous Planet Hollywood, NYC. However, that’s where the story ends: We stopped in for an early, pre-concert snack so we would be able to hold off hunger pangs and stomach growls as Ringo Starr performed onstage at Radio City, nearby. Boy, were we wrong !! The menu here is just a shortcut to separating the hungry tourist from his money. We ended up spending $66.39 plus tips (a small one..) on two glasses of wine ($23) a small plate of spicy “shrimp” ($20) and a World Famous Meatball ($18). The spicy shrimp were tiny, battered and greasy curls on a small plate, and the meatball was just a lump about the size of a tennis ball, overcooked on the outside and under in the rest-side. Terrible, heartburning acid-burp generators…. Good thing Ringo was able to drown out the aftermath. Stay away.. just a complete waste of money. Go eat hot dogs at Grays Papaya or one of the street food carts.

I accompanied my daughters class here on a trip to the Big Apple. We had reservations but were a little early, but they still seated us - a rather large group - quickly. We had bread and drinks at our table quickly and it was oh so good. They brought each table ( we had about five ) entrees of chicken parm, ziti and other italian dishes and each was better than the first! The service was excellent, the food was amazing, and I am looking forward to my next visit to eat there again!! You will spend your whole time looking at the neat and eclectic art on the walls!

Came here for a birthday dinner, and loved all the apps, main meal and desserts. The place was very festive, and bursting with energy. Large portions....

This is an American restaurant trying to cook Italian specialities... Service was slow, the pepperoni pizza was very oily, rigatoni and spaghetti were overcooked with no flavor. If Iam in a Italian restaurant the waitress is supposed to know what's a macchiato coffee isn't? At Bucca di Beppo you get a huge cup of regular coffe with cream milk... Wooow And of corset the charge you on the check a 18% gratuity.... For what?!?!? Because here the waitress don't get a salary, they get the gratuity from clients even if they haven't enjoyed dinner this is what the manager explained us. If you like Italian food DO NOT COME HERE!!!

We came for dinner after a show. The restaurant was not very full but we were welcomed graciously. Our server was very helpful and appropriately attentive. She kept our water glasses full and cleared dishes quickly. Our party of 3 shared 2 appetizers and 1 entree. We had plenty of food. We liked our appetizers: mini meatballs and caprese salad. Our entree (Shrimp Florentine pasta) was okay, just not our favorite. Neighboring tables had mussels and pizza that both looked yummy. Although we were the last to leave the restaurant we didn't feel rushed at all. Gracious from beginning to end. A nice quality in NYC.

Prior to recieving a coupon for this restaturant I had never heard of the place before. I honestly only stopped at this restaurant because I recieved a coupon for a free pasta dish. I chose to redeem my offer by using their take out services but dining in was also a option. This restaurant is located right in the same building as planet hollywood. Once you enter the building you take an elevator up to the restaurant. Since I chose take out I was directed to the bar area. This is where I met the most friendliest bartender ever. He was extremely polite and advised me that I didnt need to order anything else because the portion I was recieving was more than enough for one meal. He was just as helpful with everyone who entered his area. He was very honest and upfront about food options and portion sizes as well. Unfortunately, not everyone was a pleasant as James the bartender. The person that brought my take out to me was courteous when serving me initially. However, when he went to retrieve the items to complete my order he seemed to forget about me. Of course James apologized for the person and helped meto resolve my issue. Once I got home I saw that James was exact in his statemant about the portion sizing. My dish was more than enough for 2-3 meals. I have only tried the baked ziti but it was delicious with the right amount of cheesy deliciousness. I'd definitely return to try other dishes in the future and hopefully Im serviced by James or someone just as great.

Italian menú with American ingredientes, what do you have? Something that is taste but it has nothing to to do with italian food, great to share mínimum 4 people,

This is a restaurant that you share with one each other. The food is ready good and range from a small to lard portion size ..if you have kids like I do the amount of food they get can be split for two. The bill came out to about $100.00 with dessert two adults and 3kids

BDB is a chain Italian restaurant that doesn't quite live up to the hype. All dishes are family style, so, if there are two of you, you better agree on what you'll be dining on. Food's average. Tons of better Italian restaurants in town.

We decided to eat here because we needed to eat early in order to catch a play.I have eaten at a few Bucca Di Beppo and always had a good meal and experience.I should have skipped this one.We had the eggplant and could not eat it,it was had to cut even with a knife.I can't complain about the service, waiter did his job,but either the source of the product or skills of the chef were lacking.Skip this and go someplace else.

For a chain restaurant the food was actually pretty good! We were there with a very large group and the service was great too!

Pasta dishes were fine, but in comparison to some other Italian restaurants in New York, they were not outstanding. The red sauce with the spaghetti and meatballs was bland. The white clam sauce was all right, but nothing special. The restaurant regularly offers specials on Groupon or restaurant.com, but diners are limited to ala cart entrees, the deals are not great.

We had made reservations at Bucca Do Beppo for dinner before our 8pm Broadway show for 5:30pm We had not eaten at this restaurant before but heard that they served family style Italian dinners so we wanted to try it as we love good Italian food and have eaten at many great Italian restaurants in our home state The waiter was pleasant and started explaining the their Small family style dinners serves two to three people We ordered a Caesar salad; rigatoni with meat sauce and veal marsala all small family style I asked how many slices of veal came with the small family style dinner and first he said 9 slices but then thought about it and said 3 so we figured that should be enough for the two of us The waiter then brought out cold bread with Olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the side -we had to ask for butter for the bread Then a Hugh bowl of not so crisp Caesar salad was bought out which was enough for 5 people We were not even done with our salad on our plates when the Rigatoni with meat sauce came out too soon along with the veal marsala The rigatoni with meat sauce was a little dry with chucks of ground beef instead of being a smooth tomato meat sauce The veal was not scaloppini but rather three very small thick slices that were mostly chewy and tuff to eat with a sweet marsala sauce Due to the $39.price for just the veal I forced myself to eat the veal but it was not very good when compared to veal dishes we have eaten elsewhere in other Italian restaurants and the three very small slices were not really enough for two people The bill came to $102.which for the little we ate and the lack luster quality of the food we thought was very high We opted not to order desert here but instead went to junior's around the corner for coffee and cheesecake which was marvelous We were definitely disappointed with the food at Bucca and unfortunately will pick another place to eat next time we visit New York to see a show but for a family with kids the size portions of salad and pasta would probably be great

We just had a family dinner at this restaurant located one block away from Times Square. Its decor is like traveling to the 80's since many of the decoration dates from that time! Not really worth a visit.

Food was good. Service was terrible. We were told there was a 5 minute wait for a table and ended up waiting more than 45 minutes with 3 hungry kids.

Seven of us were attending a broadway show and to be honest, tried for reservations at Tony's Dinapoli and then Carmines. They had no availability at any of their locations. Started searching for another family style place and Bucca Di Beppo came up. It was right around the corner from our show, so we figured we would give it a try. I had signed up for "offers" on their website and the day before heading in, we received a discount of 20% off our whole order. Would have liked some fresh bread to start but their garlic bread option was good. Their small dishes are made to share with 2 to 3 people and large dishes for 4 to 5 people. We ordered a large chicken dish and then 3 small pastas (one had chicken in it). We went home with leftover pasta. They also have side dishes so if someone is picky or just wants something that no one else wants, there's that option, too! They also had desserts to share. We went with the brownie sundae which was DELICIOUS and the chocolate cake, which was great, too. We will definitely be visiting again. Our waitress was very sweet, too.

I am not a fan of chain restaurants, but this place changed my mind. The Gorgonzola Apple sale was wonderful, sweet and crisp. The trio sampler gave you a bit of something for everyone, fried cheese, shrimp and calamari. There were 7 of us so we ordered 2 large entrees. The chicken stuffed with prosciutto came with 6 nice pieces of stuffed chicken, the baked rigatoni could have feed a small army and the risotto was creamy and delicious. We all ate our fill and had left overs. We had time before the show so we sat for a bit then ordered coffee and cheesecake. Thank god we only ordered one piece because it was the size of 3 pieces anywhere else. The cheesecake was creamy, fluffy and brought back memories of the Italian cheesecake my great aunt used to make. Looking forward to checking out the restaurant in Charlotte to see if it has the same quality.

My wife and I were in the city for the night. We decided to go to Bucca Di Beppo due to a previous dining experience in Honolulu, Hawaii. When in Hawaii, the food was absolutely great! The New York location was conveniently located a block from Times Square. Its directly above the Planet Hollywood Restaurant. When we arrived, the service was great and quick. Unfortunately, my pleasant evening was immediately ruined when I received my appetizer. I ordered their famous fried calamari, and it apparently comes with a side order of metal wiring, courtesy of the chef and the old frying basket. The worst part was that the metal camoflouged with the darker pieces of calamari. I immediately alerted my waiter; who summoned what I assumed was the shift manager. They apologized excessively. At the end of the night, they decided to pick up my entire tab. The gossiping hosts' in the front explained that this wasn't the first time this had happened. My immediate question was: What is this restaurant doing to prevent this traumatizing experience from happening again? Obviously not enough. I'm tremendously grateful that they picked up my tab. But truthfully speaking, it was the least they could do. Hopefully they can correct this issue and prevent someone else from going through this experience. As for me, there are entirely too many delicious and better quality Italian Restaurants within a two block radius of there that I've decided to never visit this establishment again.

Right off Broadway upstairs. Good "italian food" served family style, which somewhat limits choices if there are only two of you. Italian creme sodas were really nice. Cool decorations, dark room

We visited this location while vacationing in New York with my family of 5. We have been to the Bucca in Chicago a few times & always had a great meal so this was a must on our list of foods in New York. It did not disappoint! Our server, Aaron was outstanding! He did an excellent job, going out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was excellent, as always. We ordered the small shrimp florentine & the small spaghetti & meatballs to share. No complaints whatsoever, everything was great!

Nice place with huge portions and reasonable prices. Nice service and friendly staf. Food were tasty. Chicken Lemon was ok.

Lively buzzing atmosphere. Great pizza. Obviously an old iconic eatery. Only thing that let it down was lengthy wait to be seated as numerous tables remained un-cleared despite plenty of staff milling about

Was pleasantly surprised by how delicious our meal was at this "chain" restaurant. Our group of nearly 100 high school choir students and chaperones ate here this past weekend. We were served two salad options (Caesar and Greek). Both were tasty. Our entree choices were fettucine alfredo, spaghetti with tomato sauce and chicken parmesan. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Didn't actually taste the spaghetti. The fettucini was good, if a little less creamy than I prefer. Plain Italian bread was also served and enjoyed by my dining partners (didn't try it). Desert was a brownie with whipped cream, chocolate sauce & sprinkles. The space was a bit tight, with tables quite close together. Our servers were pleasant and efficient. The bathroom was clean. Be forewarned that we had to climb multiple flights of stairs, which was a challenge after hours of walking the city.

No top shelf liquor at all. No veal dishes. Chicken was like shake n bake rolled up. No one served me while standing at the bar for 10 minutes. No one else was in the bar either. I can see why! The restaurant was less than half full. Very disappointed. This use to be a nice restaurant, now it is like a low end Howard Johnsons. Or if HoJos is beyond your age bracket then a Very low end Applebee's.

Reminded me a lot of Maggiano's (which I love, so this is a good thing). Upscale chain Italian restaurant. We went for lunch, and they have "lunch sized" individual portions on that menu, separate from the buca "small" and buca "large" from the dinner menu that are meant for sharing. I had the rigatoni with sausage and meat sauce and it was delicious!! The sausage was just spicy enough, there was definitely enough meat in the sauce (some places cheap out with a watery sauce and barely any meat-- not here), but it was also not drowning in sauce, which I appreciated. I prefer light amounts of sauce, so this was perfect. The rigatoni around the top and edges was even a little overcooked, which I love. This dish came out better than I expected, was extremely filling and had tons leftover for a second meal. Plus, they has Christmas carols playing-- what's better than that??

Consistency is the hallmark of Quality. Apparently the management / cooks at Bucca Di Beppo believe that for large groups that they can water-down the sauces and not season the food enough. We've been here many years ago in a much smaller group and the good was actually good. But if they have different standards for different size groups, that is just not a quality establishment in my opinion. Large High-School Group traveled to NYC for a school trip and the Alfredo sauce was a complete disgrace - ZERO stars. The only reason for the two stars was because the servers and ambience was good. The Alfredo sauce tasted like someone in the kitchen heavily watered down some milk/cream and cheese and then completely forgot to season it. No salt, No pepper, No Garlic...a complete sham.

A group of us (ages 5-43)went to Bucca on December 29th, 2016. Since we had a larger group, and it is a restaurant near times square, we felt a reservation was mandatory. After a fairly short wait, we were seated. At first our waiter seemed to be great and very attentive. But after about 20 minutes, he was never seen again. We thought he was extremely busy, but after looking around, we threw that thought out the window. I asked another waiter where our waiter was and he said that he was on break, and never returned. Another waiter came over and continued our order. The food was good but not fantastic. The portions are not what you think. We ordered the large Chicken saltimbocca ($42). Since it says it feeds 5, we were certain it was going to be enough for 5 adults. They brought out the chicken and to my surprise, they brought us 5 chicken tender sized pieces of chicken. Our drinks were never refilled (@$3.95), and we were there for over 2.5 hours with at least 30 minutes waiting for our check. Never once did a manager or anyone for that matter apologize to us even though I made my discontent known to the waiter. This is a place that will not be visited again.

Establishment closed! On other Trips to NY we always ate in this restaurant and it was great! A shame! I hope you reopen

The prix fixe menu and kitchy decor of reproduced Roman statues entwined with Christmas bulbs from the 60’s, photos of Frank Sinatra and Sophia Loren and Dean Martin, red and white checked table clothes, served us well, as we were again on a school trip and needed to feed 65 hungry teenagers. We were spread throughout the small space but there were lots of interesting things to see while we ate. I believe we opted for the “Classico” menu for $27.95. I enjoyed my tasty and tangy Caesar Salad with fresh bread. Second choice was a mixed green salad that looked fine. Our two pastas choices out of seven were Spaghetti Marinara with Meat Sauce and Fetuccine Alfredo, both cooked al dente and fine. They could have provided a bit more Chicken Limone as our entree but no one requested more and it was moist and seasoned well. Cookies topped off the meal and soft drinks flowed. Service was quick, easy, polite and efficient and we were left with plenty of time to make it to our evening show. I’d easily recommend we return here.

Visiting NYC for the weekend to see a show and decided on Buca di Beppo for its location, being close to the theatre, we were not disappointed. Had a late night reservation after the show so no lines or wait. Service was friendly and attentive, food was fresh and quite good. The food is served family style, so we ordered an Apple Gorgonzola salad and Baked Ziti for the table. Both dishes were amazing and fresh, the pasta sauce is quite good. Will return when visiting NYC again.

This restaurant is above the Planet Hollywood restaurant next to Time Square. Great location. Decor is typical from an Italian restaurant. The waiter was absolutely fun, polite and helpful. This is a family restaurant that is serving family-size meals. Great quality for the price, great service and we tried the meat-balls/spaghettis, spicy chicken pastas and pepperoni pizza. Even if it sounds classic and boring, we loved it and the quality of food was above our expectation. To be visited during your stay in family.

This is your standard chain of Bucca Di Beppo. We had a good time. We went before the lunch crowd and during the week - so it wasn't crowded at all. The food selection was similar to any other Bucca's. Our service was the only thing above average - not a bad place but so many other real Italian places can be found on NYC.

If you have been to a Bucca di Beppo before and enjoyed it this is what you will get here - no surprises. Reviewing a chain restaurant is largely useless. However, if you are either visiting the USA and unfamiliar, Bucca di Beppo is good value, services huge portions and manages to maintain the feel of a mom and pop business with its somewhat garish Italian - American restaurant - style decor. The pasta, particularly the zitti is delectable.

on Saturday my Adult Saturday Group is Going to be Heading to the Bucca di Beppo Restaurant for Lunch After we See the Radio City Christmas Show i am Hoping that the Food Will Be Good Enough to come back some day with my Family. but if you Like Really Great Italian Food then this is the Place to come & Visit if you Ever Come to New York!

The waiter read us the specials. The risotto sounded good but I asked the waiter 3x was there any meat or fish in the plate. Three times he said no. When the dish came out it looked like there was meat in the dish. I held it up and again asked the waiter what it was because I don't eat seafood. Again he said it was a mushroom. I ate it. It was not a mushroom, it was lobster. If I had a serious seafood allergy I would be in the hospital right now. So much for knowing your menu. Up till then, the food was good, but I 'll never eat there again. How could a restaurant be so irresponsible with all the food allergies people have these days.

Baked ziti, broccoli, bread, red wine. Cannoli = perfect! !! Go to Bucca and c enjoy awesome music, friendly staff, and food, glorious food!

Anyone who has ever visited Times Square knows you lose all concept of time well that's exactly what happened when we stumbled a cross Bucca at 4pm for a late lunch! Greeted by friendly faces we were talked through a extensive menu with fantastic happy hour options! We chose a seafood pasta dish to share with fried calamari and we're delighted! We washed it down with happy hour drinks to seal our experience! Great for families, couples or any kind of laid back dinner we would greatly recommend this restaurant!

We were a party of 6. House and Caesar Salads were tasty. Combination of Shrimp Florentine, Chicken Marsala and Shrimp Fra Diavolo all were very good, but not excellent in my opinion. The garlic sauce on the Florentine could've had a little more flavor. The Fra Diavolo seemed more like a Vodka sauce but the Chicken there was no complaints. As for the service, 1st I thought it was odd that the concierge had no enthusiam especially since there were virtually no customers in there at the time. We found it odd that there was no bread brought to us until we had to ask for it....um...this is an Italian restaurant. We twice had to ask for plates and it seemed as though they were reactive and not proactive service. We still tipped but considering that I'm normally a 20% or more tipper but gave the minimum 15% speaks volumes. They don't know that but I do.

Very good italian food in a friendly italian decor near Times Square. The staff were very helpful. Très bon restaurant italien dans un décor très sympathique et à Times Square. Le personnel était très sympa.

We grabbed dinner here during the break of Cursed Child. The chicken Parmesan was good, as was the antipasto salad. Not the best I’ve had- both needed more flavor. Waiter was very attentive and friendly. Meals here are to be shared so be sure your party can agree on something otherwise you’re going to have a lot of leftovers.

Heart of times sq family style meals good for groups and families. Fun place busy on the 2fl. Close to all theaters.

We enjoyed a delicious family style Italian Dinner tonight! Welcomed by a friendly staff we were seated and attended to promptly. The atmosphere is uniquely Italian with lively Motown music playing to make for a festive and welcoming evening. We were served 2 kinds of fresh crisp and flavorful salads as a starter. Then 3 absolutely delicious entrees! Spaghetti with meat sauce, a baked chicken with a creamy sauce topped with capers, and chicken and rotini pasta tossed in a creamy Alfredo sauce....each one as tasty as the next. We ended our dinner with a delightful cheesecake topped with a strawberry syrup. We all enjoyed our dinner and time together. The staff was very accommodating and were able to handle multiple large crowds at one time. A great way to end our busy day!

We had never heard of this small chain before. It is a sister company to Planet Hollywood. It was on the third floor (with an elevator) and Planet Hollywood was on the second floor. While it was a bit out of the way, it was convenient to where we were staying at the Marriott Marquis (on the other side of Times Square). They seated us promptly. The menu looked a little expensive until we realized a small dish (everything comes family style) would serve three people. So we ended up ordering a single small dish. IT arrive pretty promptly. It was REALLY big. We couldn't finish the meal (which was very good). We can't tell you waht the desserts were like becasue we were too full.

Was here on our first night. Food was great and server is friendly. Everything is family portion so be prepared to share.

What do 2 girls eat while in New York City, enjoying the lights of Times Square? Light fare at this wonderful place. When you walk in, it's like stepping into Rome. How fun! We were treated like royalty, waited on with much fuss and served exactly what we needed. Starting out martinis for 2 followed by one order of Veal Parmigiano with the best Italian Bread this side of Europe. We split the parm and had plenty of room for the amazing tiramisu. Oh what a night! Thank you, Bucca!

Definitely a come again factor! If you're feeling hungry and don't want to spend alot of money! This is the place to go! Anything the heart desires on Italian food is here.

My friends and I ate here our first night in NYC and the food was pretty good. We weren't overly hungry so ordered a small pizza for the three of us. The waiter tried to upsell us after explaining that they do family-style dining and each item on the menu would be enough for three people. After ordering the small pizza, he said the pizza would not be enough for three people. We stuck to our original order (in spite of the pressure) and were very glad we did. It was a yummy pizza and was just enough for the three of us.

Ate here whilst staying in NYC as you get $10 off each with the New York pass but definitely worth a visit even if you don't have that! All the dishes are sharing and are for either 2 or 4 people. We had the garlic bread to start and then shared 2 pasta dishes and 1 pizza between 6 of us and it was more than enough! Authentic Italian dishes and a vibrant atmosphere, staff were great too.

This was across from our hotel, serves food for families, I went with my daughter in law and had pasta for 3 people but we managed to eat it, it was so delicious.

Our first time here. It's the floor above Planet Hollywood! We will be back next time we are in NYC. Great food and great service. Skip Planet Hollywood and go to 3rd floor and eat here!

Came here with a large group, close to 30. The service was great, waiters and busboys were very attentive, for such a big group. Unfortunately, we were squeezed into a tiny space and it was quite dark inside the restaurant. The food was also pretty bland, we had fettuccine Alfredo, spaghetti meatballs, and salads. Maybe this was because we were a large group and it was prepared family style, nevertheless everything needed more spices and flavoring. I was not too impressed with this place but it was not horrible.

We eat at Bucca all the time when at home in Davie, I have to say the food was tastey ravioli pompadora was delicious, although my veal was thick and tough. However the worst service. Wrong food was deliver to the table, then once the order was corrected. Our served dropped it off and was never to be seen again until the check was presented. As we ate conversation between serves was open and unprofessional. Overhearing details that were not necessary while patrons were dining.

Stopped in for dinner before Hamilton. Ordered spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. Two huge meatballs the size of your fist came with the dish and they were yummy. Pasta could have had a little more sauce and garlic bread was average and expensive. $14 for a small order. Staff was great! Friendly, informative and helpful. Overall nice dinner and experience.

Difficult to find! Even though there were empty tables, we had to wait for one so we ordered a drink at the bar. Had hoped to settle bar bill & restaurant bill as one but for some reason not possible & made to feel awkward with this simple request! Made worse by staff hurrying me to table whilst mum settling said bar bill. Felt rushed. Lots of memorabilia on walls which was interesting. Pasta lovely - shared a portion with garlic bread. Tasty & extremely good value for money. Dessert (tiramisu) disappointing - huge bowl (on closer inspection of menu, to serve 6 - we were 2!) of solid mascarpone cheese & hardly anything else. Poor. Wouldn't visit again.

Great Family style dining. Very cost effective. Budget friendly. Our party of 7 ate for a total of $80. Great service. Excellent food.

This is our go to Italian restaurant everytime we have friends or family visiting. The portions are huge and more than enough to feed everyone! The ambience, menu and price and ofcourse their staff is awesome. We love their ziti, chicken parm and their tiramisu and colossal ice cream for dessert!

Love the food at this place but the price is crazy- we went with a group and it is family style but 3 people in my party totaled out to over $120 for pasta That’s $40 a person for pasta Crazy

We chose Bucca in Times Square as one of our 10 flex attractions in the Sightseeing Pass. It was a good choice. We had the first 15 USD per person for free (we were 4). We actually did not need to pay anything if we just ordered 2 dishes and shared since a small portion serves 3-4 people and it is also shown in the menu but we wanted to try their popular dishes. We made reservations as some days before when we passed by, we got that tip from the guard. We were seated immediately. The waiter was attentive and friendly. The food was excellent especially their "Apple Gorgonzola Salad" -crisp greens, green apples, walnuts, and gorgonzola with a mustard vinaigrette. The mix goes together well , tasted very good, and healthy. The meatballs pasta had very good sauce and consistency especially for us Swedish meatball lovers. We also ordered an appetiser "Buca Trio Platter " with fried calamari, fried mozzarella and stuffed mushrooms, served with homemade marinara sauce. The calamari just melts in your mouth and calamari is always tricky as it usually ends up gummy. The dishes were served creatively. All in all, we think that Bucca is very affordable since you pay less per person as the portions are big servings and you are allowed to share. They actually encourage it and give you several plates. We will come back to Bucca wherever it is.

Great service, food was ok for a chain. The place wasn't busy and I would recommend if you need a decent and fast meal. It is definitely your typical tourist chain so if you want authentic Italian keep looking.

after visiting several named restaurants which didn't impress me, I was thrilled to find a large Italian restaurant near time square that wasn't so commercial. Bucca Di Beppo was amazing from the service to the desert. I don't think I've ever had a slice of Chocolate cake that large in my life. and it was excellent!

This restaurant was nicely hidden on a side street near Times Square, in the same building as Planet Hollywood. Visited there with my family of 4 and have no regrets. The food was similar to the restaurants in Little Italy! Pasta was nice but most of all the portions were huge! We share some fried calamari as appetizers! You'll probably want to get the large serving of this :) Ordered the shared bowl of alfredo; they said it was for 2-4 ppl but we think it could easily serve 5! It was just enough for our family (two kids 11 & 9). Service was great and we'll definitely recommend eating here!

We tried this place because we had a Groupon. Once we finally found and it, that is! Our waiter was an older gentleman and when we tried to find out about the different vegetables that we can purchase to go with our pasta he pretty much explained that our pasta came with peas in its and that would be our vegetable.(?) Trying to order several dishes was difficult to accommodate with this menu because you have to order for a large party. There were only four of us and we all wanted something different. OK, after some discussion we gave up and just went with whatever we can get off the menu. The food that we did receive was very good. So, I like the place. It is nicely decorated. The food was good. However, it does not appear to be a place that I could go with just a couple of people. This is the place you would plan a large group dinner or party. We did stop back by one more time before we left town and had a drink at the bar. We ordered some take out to take back to our hotel and had the same problem as before. The only way to get dinner at this place is if you order an excessive amount of food. So it was a nice visit; and if I'm ever in town with 12 of my closest friends I will go back!

We stumbled into this place while we visited NY with out daughter and my parents. All 5 of us are from one main dish (spaghetti and “giant” meatballs). Food tasted good and we were all satisfied. Even then, we did not finish the entire plate! Price was reasonable for the 5 of us. Service was great. No waiting more than 5 min to be seated. Definitely will come to another Bucca branch when faced with the opportunity.

Total confusion--can't honor a reservation. Avoid at all costs. Staff fighting with each other, greeter clueless, manager frantic.

We came here during our honeymoon in New York. It was excellent. The welcome was great and the food matched it. We love the family style food idea and the cheese cake was both massive in size and quality. It may not be easy to find but it is worth the effort.

Went here for nostalgia as my husband and I used to frequent this chain in Hawaii. Near Times Square, reservation recommended. They were extremely busy. Service was slow (though our waiter was very nice, he just had too many tables), very long wait for drinks and food, and food was bland. Overall, not worth the visit. This said, I would also mention that we were visiting during the week of Christmas so overall experience may differ outside of the Christmas season..

We placed an order online off of the Catering menu (more reasonable if picking up) to be picked up the following day. The order was ready upon arrival and they even brought it out to the curb when we arrived! I would definitely recommend paying them a visit when you are in the city (be sure to get the meatballs) or even placing an order online to be picked up if passing through.

We have visited a few years ago on a previous trip to NYC but this time we had brought a large group with us who had high expectations based on our reviews! We booked online in advance knowing that the place gets busy and there were 8 of us to accommodate, so we were seated straight away. The food was as good as we remember - large family sized sharing plates of traditional Italian food. Most of our party went for the enormous meatballs - our server was really helpful in suggesting the best way to combine dishes/side dishes to make sure that we minimised any left-overs. A bit of confusion in the kitchen over another dish meant that we ended up with a bonus additional plate of chicken pasta so no complaints about that!! My only small criticism was that the restaurant clearly doesn't get many people asking for gin & tonic as a drink - the bottle of tonic used was frozen apparently and was therefore completely flat and tasteless when it arrived. Note for the restaurant - G&T is a big thing over here in the UK so you might want to be better equipped for the random Brit asking for such a drink in future ;) Good value, good food and not somewhere to go if you're trying to watch your weight!!

My husband and I were determined to eat non-chain while in NYC, but failed when we were starving one night while checking out Times Square. While we know Bucca is a chain, we had never eaten at one before and loved it. We got TONS of food and our waiter was one of the nicest people we met in the city and while we were talking, he gave us some hints about how to use the Subway and a good bakery to go to. We were very happy we decided to dine here.

We were in the mood for Italian food, but all of the reservations were taken for most of the evening. So we went to the bar and ordered take out. You have to order large amounts for take-out so we planned to have it for several days. Our hotel room had a fridge and micro so that was not a problem and we got our Italian fix! Plus the food was very good--as the large number of reservations proved.

Had a business lunch here. Always like the place because the portions are massive. The table got the carbonara, chicken parmigiana and lasagna. Oh, and some nice red wine.

We had eaten in a Buca in Elstree UK and decided to try this one whilst in the US an though they are different in terms of menus the general layout and decor are the same. They have a lot of classic old Italian pictures on the walls. The menu was very good in that it offers all its menu items as sharing which is really good. We had a meal in and ordered pizza to take away both were excellent. Great local as its just of Times Square though its attached to another well known restaurant this was a better choice rather than the normal Burger joint.

Located right in Times Square by the Planet Hollywood. Very fun ambiance with pictures on walls and red checkered tablecloths. Food was great and served in large portions. Service was very attentive. Would come here again!

Quickly searched for a place to eat on an early Saturday night. We had no clue this was family style... salads at 20 something dollars...a joke! Found a HUGE bug in the glass of wine. They took it off and were accommodating, but we will not return. Marsala was SWEET and had NO Marsala wine flavor. Worst marsala I have ever had. Husband pasta had a very weird taste to it. Pretty annoyed at the money we spent for bad quality of food. Server was great!

Now, maybe I deserved this for ordering mac and cheese balls at a pasta restaurant. However, I ordered online and was in the mood for that alone. Joke was on me. Had no taste whatsoever and the sauce was just a tub of marinara, which didn't do much for the flavor. I'm sure the pasta is great though. Get on their email list and you'll always see a deal pop up.

Waited 18 min, never waited on. Place was empty. Told the girl at the check-in. She just said "sorry

Restaurant is on the 3rd floor entrance via a lift Friendly staff very attentive. Strange menu format as each dish comes as a three or five portion ie if two dine then you get a serving for three people and the price!! Food was nice and well presented. Not the cheapest restaurant in NY

This is one of several in a chain. They serve food family style, meaning -- huge portions to share. During the time that I visited, it was a welcomed break from all the hustle and bustle and noise on the streets of Times Square. The service and employees were great, they made honest and perfect recommendations and the food and drinks were good. Great Atmosphere and you're not paying an arm and leg to eat in the area.

The service was not bad, but not outstanding. The food was tastier than I thought it would be. I give it an above average, but not by much. Also note to management, remove the picture of the teenager butt above the urinal, it is in poor taste for a family style restaurant.

Ate here with a tour while in NYC right before our Broadway show. The service was excellent and the food was exceptional. Our meal was served family style, and we had salad, spaghetti w/meat sauce, fettuccini Alfredo, and breaded chicken. Everything was yummy. We were served cheesecake for dessert. Yum! We don't order dessert, but it was included with our plan. I am so glad it was.

I'm a Volunteer at Osceola Regional Medical Center, and on the Volunteer appreciation week we ate at Bucca Di Beppo and this one is at The Florida Mall in Orlando. We ate Chicken Parmegian with Ceaser salad and tossed and salad for desert we have big chocolate chip cookies and everything was so fresh and we get Italian bread,,,WOW,,I will recommend this restaurant for the whole family!!!.

We stopped here for an after show dinner in July. The restaurant was fairly empty so we had no problem getting a table. Dinner is served family style. Our waiter, Jerry, was very good - friendly, polite and efficient. Since it was not busy, he had time to spend with us which was appreciated. We had the calamari appetizer - very good and there was plenty of it. For dinner we had the eggplant parmigiana which we both enjoyed. No room for dessert since the meal and appetizer were very generous. Good cup of coffee.

Amazing food and amazing staff. Visited the one right off Times Square. Would highly recommend. Reserve in advance to guarantee a table.

You go to Planet Hollywood and take the elevator up to Bucca. There was a ton of food offered- served family style. Two different kinds of salads, spaghetti, pasta with white sauce, bowls of meatballs, Cheddar potatoes. sliced tomatoes and mazzerella- two different kinds of dessert.
Mediocre
With all the good Italian restaurants in Midtown there is no reason to eat at Bucca. The waitress was extremely friendly and efficient. The food, however, was below par. The spaghetti was not even warm. Very skimpy on spaghetti sauce, when we asked for more sauce we received condiment size portion. An order of garlic bread for 2 was $13. The wine glass price was as high as an upscale restaurant.
