Fabulous C-Level Lounge

By Roadbuilder |

The C-Level Lounge on Harbor Island Drive was an absolutely incredible experience. The food and drinks were excellent; the waitress was exceptionally great; and the view of the downtown city skyline with the bay in the foreground was gorgeous. I have never seen a more beautiful view of San Diego from anywhere else. And all of the staff were incredibly nice and accommodating. We arrived shortly before sunset. The low sun angle reflecting on the downtown skyline was beautiful, and then we saw the transformation to the dark of night with the beautifully lit buildings and a full moon shining above the buildings and across the bay. It doesn't get any better. Incredible!

Great location, sub par fish & chips

By Bruce W |

I've had several good meals here before but the fish & chips are not worth half the amount. Perhaps I've gotten spoiled with recent trips to the UK, but there are places in SD - such as Pacific Coast Grill - with very good fish & chips. I expected more than run of the mill, bland tasting, breaded fish. Additionally the paremesan fries were quite disappointing. It was hard to put my finger on exactly why, but when I leave more than half the fries on the plate, something is amiss!!! Typically I would say something when the server or manager comes by and asks how things are. But on this visit we were using a 2 for 1 coupon and I didn't want to be that guy getting a free meal AND complaining about it! :-)

Food not as good but service is great

By TravelSANlady |

I go here quite often. However, I have not been in a while and the food was just average. Not as good as in the past. I do not know if they have a new chef but you can tell the difference. Their Calamari has always been delicious. Now it is not very good. I was very disappointed. However the service is even better than before.

Best bay views and nice happy hour

By 48Buddy |

Now that day light savings time is over, happy hour is a perfect time to visit C Lounge to enjoy the sunset and changing light on downtown. They have a delicious menu with happy hour (3-6pm) portions a little smaller than dinner time portions. We’ve been a couple of times this fall and the service is always good and the food consistently good. They have valet parking after 4:30pm.

Loved it!

By ChrisFromTheCouve |

We're not local, but got two separate local recommendation for C-Level. Glad we tried it. Right on the bay with great views of the city, waterfront, Navy carriers, choppers, and boats. No sunset views, yet you can watch the sun going down on the cityscape. They limited your stay to two hours. If they didn't people would stay for three. Food was very good. Coco shrimp was like candy. Crab & shrimp louie was excellent. You'll do best to get reservation in advance. Ideal time is 30 mins before sunset. Not cheap, but not outrageous.

The view is incredible, and the good is good

By The Finicky Travelr |

The view over the water, especially at night, is jaw dropping. Dining al fresco with cool breezes off the water, likewise was a treat. The food was good (a wedge salad, a king crab leg, and faro with mushrooms) and the wait staff were friendly and efficient. Definitely worth a visit.

Happy hour with a view

By 48Buddy |

We were staying down the street at the airport Hilton and noticed the advertisement for $7 happy hour bites and cocktails. The patio seating offered great views of downtown and the bay. Our server, Tony, was very professional and friendly. We had the steamed local mussels in a spicy garlic broth. Interestingly we had two bowls and the consistency of the broth was very different between the two. One had had time to thicken into a rich flavorful sauce and was absolutely delicious. The other was a newer broth because it was very thin and hadn’t had time to thicken and develop the flavor. The menu selection and cocktail choices were very appealing. It was a great stop!

Wonderful place with a view

By David N |

C Level Lounge offers easy parking, great food and a beautiful view of the San Diego waterfront. Good fish and chips.

Great lunch, with fast service

By iriedon |

We were in a hurry because we had a flight to catch and we were in and out in 45 minutes. We had a bowl of lobster bisque and the lobster fountain BLT sandwich and fish tacos. The food was delicious and the waiter had it delivered to us in no time. It is always nice to have a restaurant close to the airport on the water with great service and good food. The views of the harbor is relaxing as there is seating inside and outside, we chose inside as we were seated immediately on Easter Sunday which was surprising. Thought we would sit at the bar, but a table was available. We have visited this restaurant several times before and always enjoyed their food, as the quality and service is a plus. Eating and looking over the water is a big plus in San Diego for me. Would highly recommend this restaurant as the run drink and food specials Monday through Friday early bird. Thumbs up 👍

A+ Level

By Antonio R |

Great place to eat, great view & great service(ask for Gerlado). Two restaurants in one. C level for lunch and the other for fine dining. Food was delicious and the pear/whiskey crumb pudding dessert was to die for. Had a great experience, thank you Geraldo.

They didn't tell us!

By 272gee |

We went for a birthday celebration, and wanted to eat outside. They sat us inside to wait for the table, and the view at the inside table was better than at the table we waited 30 minutes for. The food was wonderful!! Between all of us, steak, chicken and sea food was ordered and it was all amazing. Service was SLOW! We waited an extremely long time just for appetisers and when they came there was no explanation at all. They did bring a complimentary birthday ice cream slice that was HUGE and delicious!

Best skyline view in town

By Julian Boman |

The place is awesome! Honestly speaking one of the best views in town. Got a sirloin with potatoes and it was so juicy. Highly recommended

Beautiful Views and good food.

By A. Vinnie V |

Went to lunch with family. The service, food and drinks were great. Enjoy the beautiful day with family. Looking out at the beautiful view of Downtown and Coronado Island. Will be back.

Superlative experience!

By Federico |

My wife and I also passed through San Diego on our honeymoon and had dinner at C-Level. The venue is luxurious and welcoming, with large windows overlooking the sea and the skyline of the fantastic city, truly breathtaking at sunset. Excellent food, high level staff of which special mention goes to Avery who served us with professionalism and unique kindness, the chef also surprised us with a dessert to congratulate us given the nature of our visit. Prices in line with what is offered. If you pass through San Diego this place is definitely worth a visit, you would hardly be disappointed!

Had not been there in a while, still as good.

By xsteves |

One of us always has the Lobster & Fontina BLT and it was as good as ever. It comes with a small cup of lobster bisque which is delicious. We also had the C Level Burger which is huge and great with grilled onions, bacon and cheddar (or blue) cheese. We don't usually order dessert but we really like their Key Lime Pie so we had one, ate 1/2 there and took 1/2 home. It is round with thick Graham cracker crust and excellent. They have put in a large amount of plastic dividers so you can feel pretty safe here.

Perfect restaurant for our out-of-town group with amazing views

By Devin A |

Cannot BEAT the views, ambiance, and quality of the seafood at this restaurant. We also had an amazing waitress who was great with suggestions and attentive. Would recommend to anyone visiting San Diego, wanting to eat fabulous, fresh seafood while enjoying a view of the bay and the city skyline. The prices were also reasonable for the quality, entrees between $28 - 50 depending on what you were ordering obviously. Again, no complaints, A+ all around!!

Delicious food, Beautiful view

By DSB54 |

Recently visited family in San Diego and they took us to the C Level lounge for lunch. I had the San Diego fish tacos and the meal was delicious.Service was friendly. The menu was diverse. The harbor view was beautiful and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Great choice!

By brdiga |

Went for light business dinner and drinks - great food, friendly service, and great views of the downtown skyline. Steamed muscles, ceviche, and Caesar salad were all fresh and delicious.

Spectacular last dinner on vacation!

By StorkRN1 |

Stayed on Harbor Island for the last night of a month-long bike trip down PCH. A local friend suggested C Level for dinner so we went. It was fantastic! Awesome city views, beautiful outdoor, covered dining, friendly staff, one of the best steaks I have ever had, all the food and drinks were wonderful, and we even got to meet the chef! Couldn’t have asked for a better end to my trip!

Fish & Chips!

By Margaret B |

Really good experience. We sat outside and had a lovely view of the water. Everyone in my party ordered fish and chips. Wonderful fish. Service was good. Price was right.

Perfect

By Hawkeye68_13 |

We went here on Tuesday evening at about 7pm , we waited for about 15mins for an outside table ,it was the perfect view to watch the sun go down and the watch the skyline light up at downtown San Diego. The food was delicious, we all had different and they were all excellent. The service from our waitress was also very good. An excellent end to a perfect evening

Special Spot, Great View

By Strategy |

Great service, terrific view. I had the shrimp and lobster salad (which was enormous). Otherwise, I didn’t see as many compelling alternatives on the menu as I would have preferred.

Horrible experience

By Mindy S |

I am writing to express my profound disappointment following an appalling experience at C Level in San Diego on July 6. I’ve dined in countless establishments over the years, and I have never encountered such disrespect and unprofessionalism. During our visit, the bartender named Eric took our order. In the course of friendly conversation, my husband made a casual remark about the recent federal proposal regarding tax-exempt tips. Eric abruptly responded by saying he would no longer speak to us, then literally turned his back. We were stunned. What followed was even worse — Eric began walking around the bar and telling his coworkers that we were bad people, clearly sharing negative comments with the hostess, servers, and other staff. It was humiliating to sit there and watch ourselves be gossiped about by an employee who was supposed to be serving us. I approached the manager to express my concerns, only to be told that Eric had already spoken to her, and that we were now “tainted” and should move to the sister restaurant in the same building if we wanted to enjoy a good meal. That kind of language is absolutely unacceptable and escalated the situation instead of resolving it. At that point, we chose to leave entirely. I followed up by calling the corporate office two days later. The representative I spoke with was kind and understanding, and I appreciated the acknowledgment. However, receiving a $100 gift card for what was a humiliating and disrespectful experience felt dismissive and inadequate, especially given the emotional impact and the lost trust in your brand. I expected better from a restaurant with C Level’s reputation. I’m sharing this not to simply vent, but in the hope that it leads to better training, accountability, and a reminder that treating guests with dignity is non-negotiable — even in the face of casual political conversation.

Incredible view and experience

By halcomptonjr |

Picked this restaurant randomly during our visit. Jon the manager made the night for us. He personally sat us, then moved us for a better view. He constantly checked in on us. His attention to detail and how much he cares for his restaurant and customer experience was amazing.

Friendly and delicious!

By Jennifer |

If you're wanting a place to sit back and enjoy a view with a cocktail and an appetizer this is a must-go-to place.

Everything was great

By Hailee |

We had great service the entire night. I had the lobster Mac and cheese which was great along with potstickers for appetizer and mud pie for dessert which was HUGE, but it was delicious, will definitely be going back soon.

Excellent Food

By the3dman |

A beautiful view close to the airport and a convenient place to have a glass of wine and a snack before joining the rush hour traffic. The food and choice and excellent. The service is very friendly, with zero attitude.

Yummy

By _pkeckley |

Had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant while on vacation. Great service, wonderful view of the Bay and fantastic food. Sorbet for dessert was just the right ending for an amazing experience. Highly recommend

Faboulous food with gorgeous views

By Jayne L |

This restaurant was recommened to us by a co worker of my husband who lives in San Diego. We are from out of town and were looking for a cool lunch time spot. It did not disappoint. The food was simply delicous. We ordered lobster sandwich, burger, thai bowl and spinach salad with salmon. All the food came out quickly, freshly prepared and was thoroughly enjoyed by all of us. Our drinks were well made and a good pour. Our server was delightful, super friendly and a great help in picking items off the menu. The location of the restaurant cannot be beat. On the water with city and bridge views. Stunning.

Amazing Experience

By Bluna11 |

My boyfriend and I went for our third-year anniversary and had such a great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was amazing!

View is better than the food

By JimRiesterer |

The more casual side of a large restaurant complex with panoramic water views. We had reservations for 6:30 and got a nice booth with views to the water and city. Unfortunately the sunset views are blocked by the sister restaurant, a high end steak house. Had I known, I might have chosen that instead. This side caters to families, travelers and the general population. Our food was fine but nothing to write home about. The coconut shrimp appetizer was decent while the Cesar salad we shared was big enough for at least 4. Our filet steak was tender and the sides of broccoli and fries ok too. Not really the special meal I had in mind for our wedding anniversary. In any case it was nice watching the lites of downtown San Diego emerge as darkness fell. Bottom line for me-pretty setting and ok food just not a “wow” meal.

Best Happy Hour

We love C Level. Food, service, scenery, and parking are stellar every time we visit. Island Prime Thanksgiving set menu is splendid as well. One of our favorite places to get together with the ladies and unwind again and again.

A must visit in San diego

By Pat C |

I used to live in San Diego and whenever I go back to visit, I always include C level as a must place to have lunch. The view is incredible and the food is wonderful. Not only that but the servers are so incredibly good. My guest was delayed but the servers were so gracious and accommodating.

Great view + professional service + good food = top notch lunch

By William M |

A pretty quick drive from downtown San Diego the restaurant has a view of downtown and North Island. Sailboats and power boats coming by our outdoor patio spot. We lingered over lunch but no problem for our waiter Bradley who never stopped refilling our ice tea and cokes. The food was outstanding to make a perfect lunch on a sunny San Diego day.

Good happy hour with a good view

By Lindsicle |

Had happy hour here on a typical perfect san diego day. I loved their cocktails and my husband enjoyed the $5 beer. We had coconut shrimp-just 5 small ones, but very good, cesar salad-delicious, and the lobster bisque (not on hh but also very good). Service was great and the restaurant is beautiful.

Beautiful Restaurant

By txflygirl |

We enjoyed dinner outside on a Friday evening. We worried it would be too chilly but the restaurant does a great job of protecting you from the winds off the water. While our waitress was not the most ideal- would go back, just not with her- the food was amazing, drinks were perfect, live music was at the right volume. Was a lovely evening!

outstanding

By ann k |

we go there often and it never disappoints-nothing is too much trouble and they dont charge for changes or modifications and they are just wonderful -we will be back soon

Excellent view, excellent food, gracious host

By Dr. Ron |

The view of the San Diego skyline is its backdrop, the food was excellent, but most especially our server (who was originally from upstate New York-- and so is my friend dining with us) provided excellent service, very attentive and looks like she enjoyed what she was doing which makes a great total enjoyable dining with friends experience.

Right next to the ocean

By Eddie Travels |

QUICKIE REVIEW You are right at the water edge if you request a seat next to the ocean. FOOD This is what I tried: -endless summer (their version of a Moscow mule) -Deborah’s mai tai -lobster bisque -C level burger -French Dip -trio of brulees I want to start off by saying the drinks mixed here are some of the smoothest I ever had. It almost tastes like you are drinking juice (although when you stand up you will realize otherwise). Lobster bisque was rich and creamy. A little shy on actual lobster but it is still tasty. The burger was cooked exactly to order. I ordered it medium and it up with a perfect pink center. Roast beef in the French dip is also savory if a burger is not your taste. Dessert was downright delicious with the three flavors offered today (vanilla, blueberry, and orange). PARKING Yes. SERVICE It was ok. Our waiter was very attentive in the beginning but drifted off a bit towards the end. What I will say is the people bussing tables seems to help out the servers and were kind enough to bring to go boxes if you ask for it. PRICE Expect to pay around $50 for two. TIP/OTHER THOUGHTS I recommend coming for restaurant week as you essentially get a free item with your meal. Cannot beat the package deal.

Go here!! Perfect experience!!

By matts249 |

We came here on a whim and were simply looking for a decent dinner with a view. We got way more than just "decent." The wait for a seat outside was only about 15 minutes when we went (Monday night around 7:30pm). Once seated, the service was amazing; I forget our server's name, but he was great! This was followed by amazing drinks and then even more amazing meals. This was one of the best dining experiences of our trip to San Diego and this should be a must if you are looking for a great restaurant with an awesome view! If back in the area, we will certainly be back here.

Food was Amazing !

By Jan L |

Amazing service and super foods . Plus the view is wow! So what more to except? We had very good crab cake and crab and shrimp salad . Super nice for lunch or dinner .

Casual upscale dining

By Skip M |

We went to this location to celebrate a birthday. It was San Diego Restaurant Week and without a reservation it was packed. The hostess was gracious and took our name as a "walk-in". It was just 20 minutes - not even enough time to get and finish a cocktail - and we were seated. The view of the San Diego skyline was terrific, even with a cloudy evening. We ordered of the price fixed special menu. I had the new york steak. The dinner included a ceasar salad (delicious) my entree we charbroiled brocalli and a desert (key lime tart). My steak was perfectly done and topped with a pat of butter. The vegetable was a bit spicy, but yet tasty. The tart had just a hint of tanginess to it, which I expected and loved. Even though busy, our server came by a couple times to check on us. Looking at the regular menu on line, it should be noted that this location and its adjacent sister restaurant (Island Prime) are in fact, upscale and a bit pricey. But the location -- oh yeah! For that special occassion, it was worth it.

Love at C-Level

By Susan V |

Visiting San Diego to celebrate our anniversary we came back to C-level for an early evening dinner. They don’t take reservations but we had no trouble getting a nice window table. Our server Nicholas was absolutely the best! We ordered drinks and we both had fish and chips which were delicious and neither one of us could finish. BUT we did make room for a celebratory dessert which we picked the amaretto cheesecake. This was sooooo yummy and then our server even said it was complimentary because of our anniversary. It would have been worth every dime anyway. The setting is wonderful as is the food and service. Only downside, you are a six hour drive away!

Gorgeous View, good food

By Coleman M |

The view is undeniably gorgeous, on the bay and watching the boats. We were there for happy hour and dinner. The happy hour red wine was decent for the price, but the regular menu Cabernet Franc was quite superior. There are three non-alcoholic cocktails, and recommend the new melon based one. They also have a single non-alcoholic beer. Why there are no non-alcoholic beverages on the happy hour list is not understandable. The non-happy hour oysters were tasty. It would have been nice if the wait staff told us which ones they were serving. The happy hour calamari was excellent. The fish and chips is good, not outstanding. The blackened Ahi sandwich is superb, but the french fries are overwhelming in volume. Serving the cole slaw and reducing the fires would improve the dish. This is certainly worth the trip but small thing would improve the experience.

If you drive a nice car, don't go here

By RoyceThedog |

Self-parking is impossible, even during slow hours. They have hundreds of "valet" spaces and about 25 self-parking spaces that are narrow even for a compact car. The millennial valets are not helpful and drive your car with no care or consideration, Things go missing, dents and scratches appear. Sure, it has a nice view with overpriced, average quality food and service, but the hassle is not worth it.

Great food & Views

By Krista Y |

Great views of downtown San Diego. They don’t take reservations, but our wait was only about 20 mins on a Sat night. Had a nice drink at bar while waiting. All the food was good!

Delicious

By Mel M |

During our harbor cruise, the narrator mentioned some restaurants. We were hungry and chose eat here. The food was delicious and the wait staff was excellent. We ate in the covered patio which had heaters above the table. i enjoyed my lobster mac and cheese. I also enjoyed it the next day.

Beautiful View

By mylang2001 |

Love the view that this restaurant got to offer. Food was good and service was decent. I think the food not worth that much but if added the view... YES. Definitely will come back.

Lunch with wife

By turne23 |

This place is about a mile walk down from the Hilton. It has a beautiful view of city skyline and the navy base. We sat on the patio and started off with Bloody Mary and Margarita. I ordered the lobster fontina BLT sandwich with lobster bisque and my wife got fish and chips. Food was good and the scenery is great.

Killer view

By NotALostWanderer |

The view is a show-stopper. At sunset, you get to watch the downtown area light up when the sky gets dark - magical. The food was less of a show. My shrimp & crab salad was - meh. The calamari and fried artichokes were good, but nothing special.

Gone Downhill

By JenniferJames |

We've been going here for the past few years and enjoyed taking overseas guests for the food and view. We visited on Sunday after about 6 months and the place is not the same. The quality and taste of the food was mundane, the service indifferent. When we left, my husband remarked "that's the last time we go there". I ordered the healthy skirt steak salad. I got about a tablespoon of chopped up bits of steak and the rest of the plate was piled high with greens that I could buy at the grocery store for $1.99. There was a very light sprinkling of blue cheese and a small cherry tomato cut in 2. Our guest ordered clam chowder. It was the consistency of a dip rather than a chowder and tasted average. She order the lettuce wedge which didn't have much dressing on it. As a result she was left with mounds of dry lettuce which she never ate. My husband had fish and chips. The batter was dense, more of it than the fish. Coconut shrimp was left in the fryer a little too long, came out dark and slightly bitter from the coconut being a bit burned. My husband didn't have any silverware. When I told the waitress, she looked down at the table and kept going. Didn't bring any. When his meal was served we had to ask the waiter for silverware and napkin. The sun was blinding me out on the patio (no shade cloth to protect from summer sun coming in through the trees), so we moved inside. Those tables and booth seats look like they've seen better days. I was quite embarrassed because it looked like we'd taken our guest to some local coffee shop. I guess Cohn has decided that since the restaurant has a gorgeous location, people aren't going to focus on the decline in quality of their food. Very disappointing. You've lost good customers who always recommended Level C & Prime when asked where to eat downtown. Now we'll be telling them to go alongside to Coasterra instead.

C level lunch

Drinks are good food selection is good and very eclectic. The ambiance is outstanding. I have been here many times . The service is always good and staff is very accommodating

Great spot, incredible food and marvelous service! Love it!

By Jacqueline I |

Celebrating yet another birthday at my favorite restaurant C-Level. They are Covid safe, the food is outstanding and the service fantastic. Ashley, John, Jesse and their whole team truly go out of their way, not only so that the food is perfect, but also that the service is great and that customer satisfaction are their priorities. Highly recommend it. Enjoy! Great for families and romantic spot too.

C rated as named

By Nizar A |

Other than the nice view of downtown San Diego, the C level is a C establishment. They had more staff chatting among themselves than ones willing to wait on customers. Once you get served, food is ok

Wonderful view

By Csora2547 |

Had the Thai steak salad and it was good. My friend had the spinach shrimp salad and hers was tasty also. Our server was attentive and kept the ice tea flowing. I met a friend that I hadn’t see in 30 years and we sat and talked forever. We never felt rushed.

Seafood Pasta

By Eddie Travels |

QUICKIE UPDATE: Went back and had “Chicken Under a Brick, Seafood Pasta, and Key Lime Pie.” Chicken under a brick was ok, but the seafood pasta and key lime pie, goodness. Those two were delectable. Would recommend those two for anyone that has a love for pasta + seafood and a solid pie.

An amazing dining experience!

By Teresa S |

We had a lovely late afternoon meal with fantastic views and every bite of food was just exceptional! I ordered the breaded salmon which came on a bed of the most delicious slightly mashed potatoes, spinach and perfectly cooked cherry and pear tomatoes and topped with fennel. My husband had perfectly cooked fish and chips and tasty little hush puppies. The service was excellent, the food was just wonderful and the view is majestic! You won't be sorry!

Outstanding food, view, and a great server!

By Werner R |

This place is two restaurants in one place. C-Level is the fantastic, slightly less priced option, but it has a great view! The other restaurant, Island Prime, is a bit more pricey and had the white table cloths but they do take reservations. Level C is first come.....Our female server, Shawn, was quite outstanding, pleasant, and professional. It was our first time to eat dinner there but we will definitely be back! Highly recommend it!

Great view/great lobster bisque

By IworktotravelCa |

My husband and I were there on a Saturday night recently. We lucked into a corner table with great views ( we had reservations). Our server was Jamie and she was fabulous- funny, yet professional at the same time. Food was good- I loved my lobster bisque! Restaurant has a nice walking path along the water so we went for a long walk before dinner- had to earn and burn those calories!

Perfect Relaxed Date Night

By Amy B |

We were definitely not dressed enough for Island Prime, but wanted to enjoy the skyline - C Level was the perfect spot for that. Our waitress was incredible! She was super attentive and even brought us a sample of the crumble for dessert. The real star is the view, though. Don't worry about the weather - the patio is covered and they have plenty of heaters, so we enjoyed a spot close to the water even though it was quite cold. The view at night is spectacular. I had the lobster mac and cheese, which was just divine - it's all of those good, grownup cheeses with big chunks of lobster. My husband had the burger and really enjoyed as well!

Brunch-like midday eats

By Dick T |

Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Had an excellent view of the bay and the numerous boats sailing around enjoying the superb weather. Our server, Julian, was courteous, pleasant and knowledgeable of the goings-on in the restaurant. Our food was excellent and served promptly. My son and his wife thoroughly enjoyed the Thai Chicken; grandson enjoyed the calamari, and my wife enjoyed the French onion soup. The fish and chips was OK...drinks were good. Would definitely go again. The upgrade to 4 stars is because of our excellent service.

Excellent Dinner!

By mollymh99 |

We ate here last weekend for dinner and really liked the variety on the menu. The food was outstanding and we enjoyed the food, service ,and ambiance. Great restaurant!!

Excellent view & catch of the day

By fabfemale50 |

With many hours to spare before heading to airport, I spontaneously came here for a last minute sunshine & lunch destination. $10 ride here from airport. The hostess stand politely offered to check in my luggage while I dined. the hostess seated me at the best seat on the patio for views of the harbor, bridge and boats. I took one of the server’s recommendation and ordered the Fresh catch sandwich. It was layered with aioli, onion, tomato and amazing goodness on a delicious brioche bun. The fries were seasoned and plentiful, but could not eat them all with such a large portion. Excellent experience. Elizabeth my server was attentive and knowledgeable.

Seafood Delight

By johnneyeagle_12 |

They have an elegant and tasteful atmosphere that includes very attentive servers. I had the lobster sandwich made with a wonderful lobster salad mix with bacon. It was served on a bread filled with cheese. It also has a lobster bisque soup on the side which was superb. Best seafood I've eaten in a long time.

" The Sesame Coated Brie is Awesome ! "

By David Miller |

My wife and I went with two of our friends to C Level restaurant on Harbor Island in San Diego for a lunch, and again and came away happy. We started our meal by sharing a Chef Deborah's Pepita & Sesame Crusted Brie cheese plate, with delicious honey-roasted garlic, jalapeno jelly. This Brie is the best tasting we have ever had. We enjoyed the Brie with both Pita and Crostini bread. For our lunches we had some Fish & Chips with panko-breaded alaskan cod with coleslaw, hush puppies, & parmesan fries. The Cod Fish was breaded a little too much, and lacked a little flavor. I had the Healthy Skirts On Fire Salad with spicy skirt steak, arugula, edamame, blue cheese, avocado, cucumber, celery, red bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, pepitas, garlic croutons, and fresh herb vinaigrette. The salad was huge and was very tasty. We also enjoy the views of the San Diego Skyline and the ocean waters as we sat outside in the Patio area. C Level is a nice place to enjoy some good food, with great views of San Diego.

Amazing view but that’s about it.

By Brookie76 |

The view is amazing but the service wasn’t good. It took 10 minutes to get water and our waiter never checked in on us until we were finished with our meal. I used to waitress so I know how tough the job can be, but I also know how to treat customers well. I had the shrimp scampi and it was an average dish. Parking is ridiculous- there are about 15 self parking spaces for two restaurants and then the rest is valet. Very disappointing.

Great restaurant on the water.

By katie02868 |

Great place to have lunch and relax. We enjoyed the lobster Mac and cheese, crab Louis Salad and French dip. Everything tasted delicious. Service was just ok.

San Diego Dinner

C Level is a must do stop on every visit to San Diego. Food is excellent and the view of the harbor is stunning!

Happy Happy Hour

By skooter88 |

We strolled in for happy hour and had a wonderful table on the deck with views of the city. We ordered some share dishes and happy hour drinks and it was wonderful. Not sure i would recommend the calamari but everything else was fantastic.

Must do!!!

By DGiro |

We just finished a catamaran tour and were starving!!! The captain from fun cat recommended this place and to say it was Devine is not doing it justice... happy hour... great options... brie is a must and sangria. Lobster mac and cheese split is still huge... just do yourself a favor an go ❤😊❤😊❤

Excellent view, great food

By PennDale |

We visited C-level after spending the day at the San Diego Zoo. Our group was one of five adults. We were happy to be seated fairly quickly on a busy Wednesday night, especially since they don't take reservations and we came at 6:30 - a good time for a view of the waterfront. Our waitress was friendly but seemed to have a few too many tables and there was often a lag between when we wanted something and she arrived. My daughter and I both ordered a king crab leg. It was one of the few items on the menu that came a la carte. When we asked about adding a side dish, we were told that we could pick any of the sides mentioned in the other dishes. So my daughter got mashed potatoes and I got farro risotto. Both portions were huge and could easily have been shared. The crab was delicious. Two other family members got the sea bass, which I tasted and liked even better than my crab. Theirs came with the farro risotto but was topped with a sauce- big difference with my farro risotto, which truly was not risotto. The mashed potatoes were great. We were glad we waited a few more minutes for the table next to the window. The restaurant is loud and it would have felt claustrophobic had we been further in. All in all a good meal.

The Food is as GOOD as the VIEW! Make reservations!

By Mer57maid |

Make reservations! This restaurant is one of a kind and is popular and busy! It is on the water and has a wonderful view of downtown San Diego. We were very impressed with the cocktail choices (bloody marys are a must) and sitting by the open windows was an added treat! The shrimp cocktail and the Ahi Crab & Avocado stack were delicious! I am still dreaming about the Healthy Skirts on Fire Salad, one of the most unique and delicious flavor combinations for those seeking a no-carb feast! The Lobster Fontina BLT was to die-for (I got a taste...yummo) and my son-in-law LOVED the Everything Crusted Ahi with black rice. My husband had the NY Strip and said it was very good. John was a great waiter; very knowledgable and attentive. Will be taking more travel companions here in the future as it is an extraordinary experience in dining excellence!

Luxury Dining at Moderate Prices

C-Level Lounge is the more casual half of the Island Prime Restaurant. You still get Island Prime quality food but at a lower price point and in a more casual environment. The seafood salad is to die for.

Great staff and a nice view

We stopped here for drinks and food and had a fantastic time - with a great view. This visit was made special by Kelsey and Staff who gave us wonderful service. I will definitely return. Thanks Kelsey

C Level Gets C Grade

By DivineFoodandWine |

It was our first visit here and we came just about when they opened for lunch since the restaurant does not accept reservations. We asked to be seated outside so we could enjoy the beautiful ocean view. There was one last table right next to the ocean, but the host said it was already taken. Funny, since throughout our entire meal, no one was ever seated there. Supposedly there are no reservations at this restaurant, so who is this being saved for?. Not cool! It took longer than I would have expected for the server to come and take our drink order. Meanwhile I liked the menu offerings, especially the soup and sandwich or soup and salad offerings, like clam chowder in a bread bowl with a salad or the lobster truffle mac’n’ cheese with a salad, which I ordered, along with the artichoke fritters. I enjoyed the artichoke fritters, that was a winner, but the mac’n’cheese was only warm and too al dente for my taste. The cheese on top was nicely melted but it needed a at least another 5 minutes to get the entire meal hot. That was disappointing, it could have been good. The salad was a spring mix with fennel but there was barely any dressing. The fish tacos portion was very good with beans on the side but the tacos themselves were very dry. There needed to be come salsa on the side. Good concepts but poor execution. We wanted to come here because of the view as well, but the shades were down so most of the view was blocked. There wasn’t much sun, so not sure why the shades were pulled. Was expecting a better experience being right on the water, overall average experience at higher price point. Not sure if sure If I want to give it another try.

Elegant and Classy

Great location and ambiance, upscale with some amazing cuisine! Beautiful views of the bay and downtown skyline...

Delicious!

By Tiffany |

Best service I’ve had in a long time. And there is a reason there is no salt or pepper on the table; it is not needed. Everything Was fresh, delicious, Unique, and the service was excellent!

The best place in San Diego in price vs value!!!!

By David R |

The view in one of the best of San Diego, water front, food is excellent , price is reasonable (I will say inexpensive for the location) GREAT VALUE!

Happy Hour with a View

By Susie1028 |

I enjoy the happy hour at C-Level, which is offered Monday through Friday from 3:30-5:30pm. They have a small food menu, plus discounted cocktails, beer, and wine. I prefer to sit outside for great views of downtown and the harbor, plus the sunset in the fall/winter. Parking is valet after 4:30pm, though there is a small portion of the large lot that is open to free public parking. C-Level is located near the airport, and is a good option for out of town guests.

Atmosphere: busy pier restaurant with a fantastic view. Service: excellent. Food: excellent.

By MCK |

It has been awhile since we've been here. Picking up friends from the airport, wanting to stop for lunch with a view, this is a perfect place. I made an Opentable Saturday reservations at 12:45 PM for a party of 4 and requested an outdoor table by the railing to see the view. When we arrived, we were greeted and YES... our table with a view was reserved. The restaurant was filled. Mindi our server introduced herself. She was excellent, letting us catch up with our friends, while being very patient with us. We ordered cocktails and beers followed by a Cedar Plank Salmon, Korean Tofu Bowl, Lobster Fontina BLT and a C Level Loui Salad. When the dishes were served, all that was suppose to be hot was hot and cold was cold and it all tasted fantastic... no complaints. We'll be back when in the area again. Atmosphere: busy pier restaurant with a fantastic view. Service: excellent. Food: excellent.

Over priced

By deedee2122015 |

We had dinner at C-Level on June 19 during a one week trip. It may be better for a lunch as we found the food overpriced for its quality. Service was ok although we had to take an inner table. My prawns entree consisted of 2 prawns, but as everything is strictly a la carte I also ordered a Caesar salad. They put the prawns on top of the salad which was somewhat tasteless (just a lot of lettuce with no proper dressing). My husband wasn't impressed with his dinner either. We'd had drinks at Coasterra and probably should have stayed there to eat. The food would be OK for a mid-price office lunch but not for a special dinner.

good

By Lynnbrownstone |

The food is good. However, the kitchen rushed us through our meal, way under our allotted time. The wait staff was otherwise friendly.

Great Food and Amazing Views!

By Vacationers62 |

Eclectic menu with some creative entrees! My husband had the lobster BLT and I had the Chicken Piccata, both of which were superb! Friendly staff, quick service.

Great views and great customer service!

By Werner R |

Fantastic view of city across the water and of Coronado and navy carriers across the water too! Been going there annually for years. This time we were dissatisfied with the new, modern (think kelp, kahle), limited due to pandemic menu. However, our fantastic, professional waitress (Suzi) summoned a manager (Stefano) and, between their unbelievable customer service attitude, they allowed us to order from their sister restaurant (Prime Island) menu and our anniversary dinner was fantastic. We were pleasantly surprised to find an establishment that still believed in Customer Service. The meal was outstanding! We cannot thank them enough and want to acknowledge these two fine professionals. They are truly an asset to their restaurant corporation.

Spectacular!

By Debbie J |

Excellent seafood with a spectacular view! I went last year and can't wait to go again this week on my upcoming visit to San Diego.

Food with a View

By Ron T |

Our 2nd trip to San Diego and again this was our first meal here. Tacos and service were great, the view is amazing.

Unforgettable dining and views

By RVtherenow |

We were referred here by the concierge of the nearby Sheraton. It was a short and pleasant walk. We were greeted by genuinely courteous staff and led to a window seat table with incredible views. Our waiter was pleasant and helpful in navigating us through the menu and special. I went with the days special Sea Scallops with drizzles of curry and sprinkled with pomegranate and hazelnuts served with tri colored cauliflower. It did not disappoint!! I want to remember that flavor for the rest of my life. It was divine. My husband went with the burger and also thoroughly enjoyed it. The French onion soup was amazing. I also had the lobster bisque, it was pretty basic. The hostesses went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of with a taxi back to the hotel to keep us dry from the torrential flooding rains that came upon us. A+ service from every encounter!

A Happy....Happy Hour

We met friends at 3:30 for the start of Happy Hour and had great table on the water and fabulous service and wonderful snacks. They have a wonderful assortment of Happy Hour eats.

Spectacular view - food mediocre

By ann k |

The food was consistently good - it’s gone down- view is spectacular Service is amazing We had fish which used to be perfect

Come for the view

By Suzanne B |

I came here while visiting with several friends. The view is absolutely amazing, but it is pricey, and I thought the food was just OK. I had the lobster bisque and it was VERY rich. I would come again for a drink and snack to enjoy the view, then move along for dinner unless it was a special occasion.

Great View and Food!

By BluePlate-Now |

Great view of SD and the bay! Perfect for sitting outside. The best appetizer we had was the beef skewers, perfectly cooked and nice sauce. A couple of folks at our table had the salmon and poke bowl and said it was fantastic. The Lobster Mac was large with lots of cheese bt you could taste the lobster. The lobster salad BLT was great! Go see the view and enjoy the food. Great wait staff!

The views, the service and food were wonderful!

By mary c |

This was me and my husband‘s first visit to San Diego. We just happen to pick this restaurant out of the ones that were actually open when we made our reservations over a month ago. We were lucky enough to be able to sit at one of the best tables for views in the restaurant. We even had a sea lion swim by. Thomas was our server and he offered to take a picture of us. He did a great job with the backdrop being the San Diego skyline and the bay. He also offered up history and information about things to do in the San Diego area. He made food suggestions that turned out to be wonderful. I highly suggest the sesame encrusted brie and the Lobster and Fontaine BLT. Both were delicious. Thanks Thomas for all the suggestions. It made our visit their special.

Great view ,food and service!

By Lori985 |

Great atmosphere, view, food and service. Fine dining but casual. I was taking the red eye and we decided to go to diner here. It was a great choice. Valet parking for $8 to start off(but worth it!) We were seated near a window where you could see the water and the city, beautiful when all the lights came on. Our waitress Cassidy was so sweet and took the time to talk to us. I started off with the lobster bisque , very good(I think the croutons took a little away from it though.) I also got the lobster mac and cheese, this was so cheesy I loved it! It came with a salad and this dressing was very good. My husband got Lobster & Fontina BLT Sandwich and loved it! We would definitely come here again. Thanks Cassidy! It was also very close to the airport..

Wonderful, lower price point alternative to Island Prime in the same location, same chef.

By Richard V |

I only have one problem: I love Debralee Scott's lobster mac 'n cheese so much I haven't tried to many other things. Shame on me. We come here mostly for lunch, but it's equally great at dinner time. AND, a really good value.

Amazing!

By Adela G |

Absolutely perfect! The food, the service, the views! The food was some of the best I’ve had in my life. Absolutely worth the price. My new favorite restaurant<3

Slipped

By LARRY W |

We used to love this restaurant. We often stopped by when we arrived early to avoid traffic or were faced with a travel delay. I am happy to see other people still giving it higher reviews, however, I was very disappointed the last time we ate there. I really craved one of their thick, juicy hamburger. In the past they were great! This time around I would say average, at best. Price: $19. My wife used to love the Healthy Skirts on Fire Salad. Steak and flavoring was still great, however the salad was almost entirely arugula with little to nothing else. Price: $24. So it still has one of the best views on the waterfront and a good Happy Hour, but our favorite entrees are no where as good as they once were.

Trifecta Food- Service-View

By LivingLovingItaly |

One of three Cohn restaurants in a row but no reservations at this spot so we arrived a little early for dinner, but not early enough for HH. The specialty cocktail was actually special with lemon jello rim and perfectly balanced tart martini. The chicken pot stickers were perfect starter to share before entrees. The special was a grilled halibut served over pasta. The fish was cooked perfectly and the dish was filling. The hub’s steak included chimichurri butter on top, but he asked for extra chimichurri on the side too, perfect too! The views of downtown from the outside deck and the great service make this a win. If you plan in advance to go to Coasterra or Island Prime those spots offer reservations. C-Level is worth waiting if they are busy.

The best view in California

By Richard S |

We met out friends from San Diego here as a welcome to the city and boy oh boy! The atmosphere was amazing, the veiws across the bay to the city skyline mindblowing and the food was to die for. This is a mist visit location for anyone. They dont take reservations and it gets busu so be prepared to wait.. but it is worth it!

Amazing View and Great Atmosphere

By Dawn T |

C-Level Lounge is connected to Island Prime. The Lounge has cheaper prices than Island Prime, the view is amazing and there is a great selection for dinner. Our food was delicious!! We loved sitting on the covered outside deck. Very romantic. When we got there it was still light and by the time we left it was dark. Two different vibes, both great!

Would not eat here again

By Shelia S |

Restaurant was out of fried pickles, cheese sticks, bread, no chicken of any kind, out of steaks, and did not even have bread for a child’s grilled cheese or chicken nuggets. Not being a seafood fan, it was hard to find something on the menu besides a hamburger, which by the way was not fully cooked. Seating was VERY cramped and we about froze to death in the back room in the restaurant. Waitress was not very pleasant and failed to refill our drinks.

Great view and friendly staff

By AmyJune H |

The view at this restaurant is fantastic. The bar menu is generous plenty of beer and other drinks. Food was not the best, was a little oily and greasy. My friend had a hamburger and at the bottom of the bun was just soaked with Greece. I had chicken ziti and the pasta was buttery and oily, it also had pork chunks in it which weren't indicated onThe menu. Our waitress was fantastic for a party of eight she did a fantastic job serving drinks appetizers and entrées.

Very nice early dinner and GREAT view

By dshafs |

Waterside table with great view of San Diego harbor. Service was friendly and attentive. Drinks were great and food was delicious. Not an overly ambitious menu but something for everyone. Expensive as is every restaurant around San Diego Harbor.

a disappointment

By sjd721 |

We tried to get into Coasterra but it was booked days in advance. We got into C - Level. I see why. The good news: the hostess was friendly and acted excited to us-a great feeling. Also good was the waterfront dining views. Now for the rest. The menu is quite limited. They will not allow modifications to menu options. I don't eat cheddar cheese so there was no way I could get my first choice, lobster mac 'n cheese. I settled for the seafood pasta-lots of pesto and poor quality calamari, very, very few shrimp or scallops. The waiter was polite. Not friendly. Not personable. Not social. Not engaging. He reminded me of a cop issuing a speeding ticket. Never smiled. Was totally devoid of cordiality. Yup-one and done!

Went for view; great food

By IranianCanuck |

We wanted a water view eatery; pleasantly surprised by the excellent food and the professional service that accompanied it. Other than the coffee, which was a dud, the rest of the food and beverage offerings were rather good. Would highly recommend.

Creative and Delicious!

By brenda g |

We showed up w/ 7 people in town for a conference and got in without a wait - and were treated like royalty. Several people ordered lite meals - it's been a few months so don't recall exactly - I believe I had a seabass (or other seafood) special. It was incredible! And a nice view of the sunset! It should be on your San Diego list!

Lunch with a view

By Christian S. |

Very friendly people. We whre outside for lunch with excellent seafood. Situated on Harbor Island you have an amazing view of San Diego.

Great views, food so so

By SB Rodriguez |

Would have thought a place on the water would've had a little more tasty fish. Great atmosphere and service, but the food was a bit soggy. Had fish and chips but none of it tasted fresh. Chips were limp and soggy, fish was ok but nothing great--kept putting more vinegar and tartar sauce to give it flavor.

Absolutely perfect!!!

By xBella0285 |

My husband and I were in San Diego for a work trip and went to C-Level for our anniversary dinner at the recommendation of a friend who is local. It definitely did not disappoint! The views are amazing, the service was outstanding and the food was absolutely delicious! We both had the lobster bisque. It was hands down the best lobster bisque I have ever tasted. The entrees I got the rainbow trout with braised tomatoes and my husband got the tuna and salmon poke bowl. We were both in love with our dinners! The fish was super fresh and mine was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Even though they provide generous positions, we decided we had to try a dessert since everything else was so good. We got the potted brownie banana split and again we’re not disappointed. It was phenomenal. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I was also happy to see all the staff wearing masks and doing so properly even with outdoor seating. It made me feel much more like they take cleanliness seriously. I would definitely come back if we are out this way again some time!

Amazing View

By Heather M |

We were visiting San Diego for a conference for my husband's work and walked to this restaurant from our hotel. The view alone was worth it. Most of the restaurant is situation out over the bay. We had about a half hour wait on the Thursday night, but that was due to choosing to be seated outside. The hostess did a nice job at offering us an available window seat inside to be seated sooner, which we took and was as nice as sitting outside. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. Our food was delicious. For us it was about the location on the bay and it lived up to that. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good food with a view.

Excellent Views and Food

By Jeff L |

I almost hate to review this place. It’s already busy and its already difficult to get a table. But, it’s just so exceptional- the view, the food, the value. We went early and were lucky to get a table with a view. The view of downtown San Diego across the bay was incredible. I ordered the filet mignon. It came with mashed potatoes, asparagus and thin onion crisps. At $34 it was a great deal. Typically you’d pay $50 for just the filet. The steak was done to perfection and was one of the best I’ve had. I wasn’t surprised since C Level is basically the casual side of Island Prime. My wife had the burger. It was huge and she loved it. We both ordered drinks which were very good but a bit on the expensive side. C Level is great food with a great view at a fraction of the price you’d pay elsewhere.

Meet a friend at this place. What an amazing outdoor patio with the most spectacular views of San Diego. Must have a table on the deck to get full effect. Happy Hour is one the best...mussels are to die for!! A must visit while in San Diego, will not be disappointed...

Casual with good food!

By Tai K |

My family recently took me to C level for my birthday dinner. It was so very good and thee is no need to dress up! It is right over the water on Harbor Island and so has a great view of San Diego Bay and the city!

Beautiful Harbour Front View and great food

By Christy Lim from Singapore |

The view of the restaurant was just beautiful. Unfortunately, our camera can’t capture it properly. In San Deigo, you must at least visit a restuarant that has harbour view if not it will be a waste. You can catch a Uber to get there. Very easy to get one in San Diego, usually come in less than 3mins. This restuarant is very near to Mission Bay and near to airport. The food is great too! Like many Americans restuarant, we find to portion is a bit big for Asian so you may want to share your food. Service is great and comes with live music. We had a relaxing evening so I feel it is a great place for couples and friends gathering as well.

Go for atmosphere, stay for food

By jmurphybrown |

Great waterfront restaurant/lounge on San Diego bay on Harbor Island. Enjoy relaxed outdoor seating on deck sitting on pillons jutting into bay. Artfully prepared pub favorites, best blue cheese bacon burger on brioche, and crafted cocktails. Try the key lime pie, big enough for 3 to share or one extremely hungry key lime lover! Friendly, informed wait staff rounds out the outstanding experience.

Great food and location

By Terry L |

My wife and I enjoyed some appraisers and drinks as we watched the boats out on the water. The location is very beautiful, the service and food was excellent.

Top Notch Experience!

By Casie M |

Top notch Dinner! Everything was wonderful. The lobster bisque, French onion soup, coconut shrimp, ahi, all of it was fantastic! Don’t skip the dessert, we had the peanut butter brownie and mud pie both of which were excellent!! Nate was our server and couldn’t have been better, super helpful and really nice. The view was amazing and we would definitely suggest eating here!! Don’t miss this amazing restaurant!

Delicious lobster sandwich!

By bigthicket |

Loved our meal here. It's a beautiful setting but since a table with a view would have been a 45 minute wait we chose to sit at a table for two by the bar. Wrong move since as people came in to wait for their tables they congregated by the bar and crowded the area and stood very close to our table. This made it very hard for my husband and I to even have a conversation. Our service was excellent however and we both enjoyed our meals but I suggest to not sit by the bar.

We had dinner for my birthday with friends and Anthony the manager treated us exceptionally well!! He was able to get us a reservation at 5 o’clock with a great view in addition to a few appetizers. The food is always yummy as was the lemon drop martini! Always a memorable experience at C Level 🥰

Beautiful view of San Diego!

We were able to enjoy a beautiful view of San Diego and a delicious meal. The view alone was worth the money but the food was outstanding as well. We recommend the LOBSTER MAC & CHEESE! The staff was courteous and attentive.

Loved everything about it.

We celebrated our 40th Wedding anniversary here with family. The view, food and staff were wonderful. Literally right on the water with a perfect view of San Diego skyline and the Pacific Ocean. Service was prompt, but not rushed. The food and drinks great. Couldn't have asked for a better night.

This place is amazing!!

By brookew31 |

Everything here is amazing. I asked the waitress what to order. She told me a cheeseburger. Being from Nebraska you won't get any better. I wasn't happy with the cheeseburger but the sol y mar drink made up for it.

Incredible location overlooking the city right on the water's edge. Relaxed and friendly staff make a visit memorable. Lobster mac with truffle oil the best thing in the world!

location, location ,location.

By burgermaster007 |

Must be one of the best location restaurants in San Diego, and the service and food was even better, we visited this resturant while visiting my brother who lives in San Diego, it was a recommendation from a friend of his that we chose this resturant upon arriving at the resturant some 30 minutes prior to our booking the car park was heaving , and its a big car park, people were lining up waiting for tables, we were told our table would be ready soon and we chose to sit at the bar for a drink, within 15 minutes we were taken to our table, is there a bad table to sit at, NOT in this place , every table has a view, service was first class, informative of the menu and the drinks choice, we (all 4 of us) ate different things and we all loved every mouthful we had, cost was what I would call very reasonable , again the food exceptional, the service first class and the location and view, priceless, well dont to the WHOLE TEAM.

CELEBRATED BIRTHDAY WITH A GROUP OF NINE

Popular restaurant, but the wait is worth it! Great drinks and delicious food. It might appear pricey, but it is the same in every San Diego restaurant. Great service! Awesome views!

Enjoy your drinks here!

Had a few drinks and appetizers (potstickers were very tasty!) here while we waited for our table at Island Prime. Nice way to start the night with great service and ambiance

Great Location, Not Strong on Fish.

By Patricia B |

This is a fantastic location. The staff are very helpful, friendly, and know their positions well. They do offer seafood but the selection was limited. I would not choose this establishment if you are looking for fish. They do have a wonderful and very pricy meat menu. Overall I was rather disappointed, especially considering the prices and that within a 1/2 mile there is an excellent seafood choice. I gave it a try but won't be back.

Annual “Must”

By Lee F |

Stopped here twice during our recent San Diego trip. Proximity to airport makes convenient stop after or before long flights. Lobster BLT is excellent and if not overly hungry an easy item to split. Mussels are a must and a great bargain on happy hour. We always sit at bar and staff here is really great. They know the menu and are helpful with wine and beer descriptions and recommendations. View is stunning.

Top Service and Food

By CaymanSunshine |

I visited C Level while in San Diego and I have to say I was very pleased with the food. We had some fried squid as appetizer then a very healthy salad. Service was top notch, our server (John?) was friendly, polite and very professional. Nice view of the bay too!!!

Disappointing

By Steve O |

Great place to view the San Diego bay but prices are high for even the simplest menu items. Fish & Chips was $26 and instead of fillets it looked like fish sticks with limit flavor. The chips were good.

Daughter birthday dinner

By Dalane B |

My daughter birthday dinner was here at c level the waiter was delightful and the scenery was amazing I brought in a bottle of Prosecco and they chilled it on ice until they served it to us. The food was great I had the Seafood Platter 1/2 dozen oyster, 1/2 lb old bay peel & eat shrimp, mini ahi stack, salmon tartare (gf*) Serves 1-2 which was such a great price for what you got the Steamed Mussel Pot PEI mussels, pinot grigio, chorizo, arugula, caramelized onion cream sauce was to die for will keep coming back

Great cocktails on patio with view!

By 2017JB |

I’ve been here several times with friends usually after picking them up at airport. Get to this restaurant as soon as they open for lunch if you want to sit on their fabulous patio with a great view of water and downtown skyscrapers in the background. Best Bloody Mary cocktails ever! Good food too, as well as friendly service.

amazing view

By @AlwaysLornaMarie |

This meal was amazing! Our servers name was Becky. We had her the last time we were here and she is such a good server. She timed everything perfectly and was so hospitable the entire meal. Our food was outstanding. We ordered the crusted bre. It has a garlic purée on the side and a sweet and spicy sauce that you dip it into served with pita. You have to get this if you come here. We also had the The tuna stack which was good. We had the lobster sandwich OMG so delicious and our server suggested that we dipped it into the lobster bisque. I like the way she thinks because it made it over the top. The cheeseburger was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. It was super juicy and flavorful. But our favorite of the night was the scallops. They were on top of risotto cakes and had the right amount of flavor without overwhelming the scallops. We will def order this again. So if your in the area. C level is a place I wouldn't miss out on. The service the view and the food are worth trying for yourself. Easter lunch

By TiffHenry716 |

So happy we came here instead of the buffet being offered next door. Amazing view of the city and water, a bit pricey though. The food was all fantastic, however be forewarned the skirt steak salad is intensely hot. Our server was cheerful and fun.

Fantastic view, Delicious food, but pricey!

By Chefjudy |

I love going here for special occasions! Everything on the menu is delicious, service excellent! But $80 for lunch for 2 salads, 2 glasses of wine is a bit much!!

I wish we had a C Level restaurant near me!!

By fortunecookie1 |

We went to dinner with family and loved the atmosphere, views and especially the food! It was seriously one of the best meals I had in a very long time. We ordered the crispy calamari (which came with a vietnamese dipping sauce which was wonderful and a great change from the usual tomato based dipping sauce). My daughter usually stays far away from any seafood and loved the calamari. And ordered the Steamed Mussel Pot. The mussels and the carmelized onion cream sauce it came with it was seriously one of the best mussel dishes I've ever had. As an appetizer dish, there were alot of mussels (you can order this for dinner and be full) and I could have drank the sauce (I kept sopping up the sauce with the bread it came with). A couple of us ordered the "Healthy Skirts (steak) on Fire Salad" which was decent. But....the parmesan chicken piccata was very good and garlicky and the "Everything Crusted Ahi" was fantastic! The black rice that the ahi came with was soooo good. Although the prices were moderate to expensive (depending on what you get), the portions were big. I wish there was a C Level restaurant by us.

Great experience

By KimmerMA |

I grew up in San Diego and this location was special for family. This new restaurant C Level...in a old familiar place...was wonderful. Waiter Gérardo made the day SO special. Food and view were great..the attention by Gerardo made it so very very special. Thank you.

Beautiful view!

By mdiver08 |

Got there around 7 on a Saturday, thinking it would be a big wait. What a surprise- we were seated immediately one row from the window. The hostess came back and asked if we wanted the window- she had not realized it was open. Good for her and excellent for us Our server Liz was knowledgeable and efficient. Did not feel rushed but did not feel ignored You are paying for the view. The food was good as well as the drinks. Just know - it is not cheap.

Good happy hour offerings

By Jpamr5 |

Four of us enjoyed the view and food at C-Level Lounge around 4:15PM on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. Stacy was a friendly and efficient server. She checked on us periodically to make sure the food was to our liking and if we needed anything else. We ordered from the happy hour menu since we arrived before the 5:30 PM end time. The servings were filling. For $7 each we ordered a couple of coconut shrimp plates, couple of fried calamari plates plus a wedge salad from the dinner menu. Food was good as well as the happy hour cocktails. The view of the harbor from our outdoor table location was excellent. The heater above our table was turned on so the coolness of the temperature and breeze kept us comfortable. We are visiting from Texas and received the recommendation from several friends to try C-Level.

AWESOME LOCATION, GREAT HARBOR VIEWS AND GREAT FOOD

Every time we come to Cali we make sure when we are in San Diego we stop in for lunch or dinner. The location is awesome. You can see a skyline view of San Diego when you are dining either inside or outside. Sits right on the water. The location is awesome!!! Great selection of food awesome. Would highly recommend it.

AMAZING FOOD/ SPECTACULAR VIEW

You can't go wrong with a meal at C-Level. Try the Ahi Poke Stack or the clams & mussels in the appetizer category. Both are plenty for a meal! We were there on a very warm and sunny day but the covered patio provided enough shade and the breeze off the water made it super comfortable. The view of downtown San Diego, the Coronado Bridge and the aircraft carriers at North Island is spectacular!

Could not have asked for a better experience

We were fortunate enough to be at the table in the corner with the most spectacular of all the views, which was a bonus. All the dishes at our table were innovative and wonderful, the cocktails all special, and service great. This is how places in such positions should all be. Bouquets C-Level Lounge. Can't wait to get back there.

Took our niece for her birthday. Fabulous view, food and service. Our favorite place for lunch, celebrations, and out of town guests.

Ocean View Delight!

WOW! I can see why it’s called C Level, the views are spectacular, doesn’t get any better in San Diego! Our service was awesome and the food was incredibly good. So many choices in food and beverages, did I mention the view? Unbelievable! Our food was delicious.

Perfection at its finest.

I went this evening with my wife for our weekly dinner date. Typically we try a new restaurant here in PCB every week. However, after tonight, I’m not sure that we need to try any more different places. We looked online at their prices and found them to be very reasonable for what we were getting. We were greeted promptly, even though we weren’t sat right away, someone let us know they would be right with us! Bonus points! We sat in our section and a gentleman promptly took our drink order and explained to us the menu and mentioned several recommendations. We started with the cup of soup - Gumbo. That was the bomb dot com! My wife ordered the 8oz sirloin mid rare and I ordered the black n blue burger mid rare. BOTH MEATS WERE MADE TO PERFECTION! Beautiful grill marks on the steak to a warm pink juicy center! My wife LOVES steak, but she ended up taking half of my burger! The juices flowing from the patty to a melt in your mouth watering flavor!! I saw that a menu price online differed from their in house menu and even one of the owners came out and thanked us for bringing it up. He said that was nice of us to let him know and so it presents further customers the confusion! The service and the food have been far better than any place we’ve went to and we’ve been here since August of 19. Way to go C-Level! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in town and wanting to have a PERFECT experience all the way around

Nice Bay Views

We like to dine here a couple times a year because the views are great especially on a summer day sitting outside. We always enjoy the variety of food options. Drinks are a little expensive though. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is because every time we go there the waitresses never seem that friendly. Also this visit I felt like they really put the tables too close together and we felt rushed. We waited twenty minutes to get seated which was not too bad for a Sunday afternoon. We ordered an appetizer and two meals but they just brought our meals and forgot the appetizer. When I said something they asked if we still wanted it, which we did and they brought it out fast but I felt like maybe that was done on purpose so we wouldn’t be dining as long since they were so busy. We never overstay too long anywhere especially if we know they’re busy but would just like to enjoy an unrushed meal.

Great views, great food, will be back!

This place has a great location right across from the airport (checked our bags during our meal, thank you!) and on the ocean. They have great seating with great views of the ocean and the city! Some seats are great, some are not. We came for lunch on the end of a three day weekend. We were first sat at a seat with no view stuck too close between two other tables, but we were quickly accommodated with a better seat with only a short wait. The food was amazing! The mussel appetizer was good, but the star were the entrees. We ordered the seafood pasta and chicken and both were some of the best meals we have had. Cooked to perfection with seasoning that was amazing. The meal was topped off with a surprise dessert that had "Happy Anniversary" written on it. A beautiful touch to a great weekend and meal. Overall, this place is a must for me. I will be in the area again later this year and I already have plans to make this place our first stop when we land.

A good spot for a date night or celebrations.

This is the third time we've been here and we came here for an impromptu mini-celebration, most of the places we were looking at were either too busy on a weeknight or only accept reservations. C-level has always been our go-to place for such occasions. They have a lovely view of the San Diego Harbor and city lights from downtown, the place is always cozy and inviting. When we arrived they had a 30 to 45-minute wait time and that is understandable, but we opted to sit at the bar since they have seats for us available and we can order food either way. I had the Harbor Spritz (zero-proof drink), C Level Louie Salad, and Chef Deb's Ahi Tuna, and Salmon Poke Bowl. I enjoyed every bite and every sip and in spite of them being busy at the time.

Pretty View, Poor Service, OK Food

By Luxtraveler12 |

We had heard about C-Level from a friend based on the great views. I should have listened to other reviews as they had mentioned how bad the service was. Our server never came over to check if we liked our cocktails and never checked if we liked our food. We didn’t see her again until she was dropping the bill. We got the artichoke fitters which were chewy and rough. The wedge was ok, how do you mess up a wedge? The Mac and cheese was good. Coconut shrimp was just so so. We went here for our last night of vacation and I was really disappointed we did. So many better places in SD.

Gets worse with each visit.

Have been here several times over a handful of years. All this place has going for it is a view of San Diego Bay. The food is ok. Asked for their house bread as an appetizer, since we had to wait over an hour in the bar area. It arrived after our main courses had been eaten. Lobster bisque - no spoon and by the time spoon came, bisque was almost cold. Out table "candle" was dysfunctional, so we could not read our menus without cell phone lights. Coffee arrived late but hot, and only warmed-up after asking busboy about it. The waitress asked if I wanted cream and sugar- I said "no"- it came with both. Had a wedge salad- asked for NO tomatoes- it came with tomatoes--sent back and it came back in 15 minutes with tomatoes still in it. Waitress cared a LOT more about some free-range cats roaming around our table. Why do I suffer here? Had canceled a reservation at another place without a view. Big mistake. Did I say there were four of us, but we could only find three seats for our one-hour wait. All these Cohn places have a cultish following; I've been to several and I am ALWAYS underwhelmed. San Diegans and visitors deserve better for their money. Oh...then we had to pay for a valet to retrieve our car.

My friends and I eat at C-level as often as possible! Their calamari is absolutely delicious! Their seafood and service are excellent. Can’t wait to move back to San Diego to eat there with my friends. Miss it so much!!

We love C-Level. The food as well as the view is incomparable. The service is great as well. Our server was very helpful, then let us alone to enjoy our time.

Great food with a amazing view

By regis k |

Great food with a amazing view. Normally, restaurants with a good view don’t have good foods. This restaurant is an exception. With an amazing view of the harbor and downtown San Diego, this restaurant offers amazing food. That’s why this restaurant is packed on the weekend. We came with friends for lunch after church. We were all impressed with the food. I ordered their warm spinach with grill salmon. The taste is great and the salmon was tender. My wife’s cod dish was equally fantastic. The fish was cooked to perfection with the right amount of spices and seasoning. My friend also raved about the taste of his burger. When dessert time came, we couldn’t resist ordering the ice cream mud pie and key lime pie. The mud pie was humongous and the key lime pie was just delicious. We will be back to try out the other dishes next time when we are in San Diego.

Long Wait. Delicious Food.

90 minutes to be seated and another hour to receive our food. Service was not anything to write home about but the food was delicious. Female manager walked me to the restroom instead of just pointing, which is unheard of in a restaurant. View is the best in San Diego!!

Great food, service and view

When we're looking for a quick bite and beverage before a sailing trip this place came with a recommendation. It lived up to the hype. We arrived during there Happy Hour which is what we were looking for. We shared 3 apps, the brie, coconut shrimp and potstickers . Great choices for all. Great flavors and presentation.. Shout out to Mindy our server. There was a connection to my wife since they grew up in the same town...

Wonderful lunch value

By Staidthere |

C level is the first restaurant we think of when we want to sit outside and enjoy a lovely harbor view over a meal that we know will be delicious. We arrived at C Level a few minutes before the opening for lunch at 11:30. The view from our table on the outside deck was beautiful. We shared lobster bisque and sirloin barbecued in an ancient Incan fashion. We recommend them both. Our server, Nicole, was efficient, helpful, and generally delightful. We feel C Level is one of the best restaurant values in San Diego.

C- Level was a very impressive restaurant

It took a little time to find the C Level Restaurant. But it was absolutely wonderful once we arrived. The appetizers were impressive. The food was perfect and the service was quick and courteous. Each course was delicious. Please try the C-Level restaurant for your self.

A restaurant in San Diego where you can enjoy a meal while watching the sunset!

If you want to enjoy a meal while watching the sunset in San Diego, this is the place to go. This year the weather has been bad and it was a bit chilly, but it was delicious and we had a great time!

If you like lobster then jump over here for a quick bite! The menu is full of seafood options. We started with an ahi tuna tower and some chicken pot stickers. The outside deck is nice and the service is good!

Come for the view, stay for the food

At the end of Harbor Island, this restaurant enjoys a beautiful view of the San Diego skyline and the Coronado bridge. Sip on your favorite beverage accompanied by delicious tapas like coconut shrimp and warm brie cheese. We also enjoyed the seared ahi and the lobster macaroni and cheese. A lovely afternoon. Service is a bit slow, more time to enjoy the view, if you are in a relaxed mood. 😎
