SO GOOD!!

By Leslie |

I ate here every morning that I could while I was in NYC. The scrambled eggs over toast were the best scrambled eggs in my entire life! So good! Their pastries are French-worthy! Coffee is on point! My hubs had the quiche and devoured it! SO GLAD I found this place!

I had a great time with everything... with the staff especially with Samira and for what I ate both breakfast and snack. I'll be back.

High quality pastries and coffee

Excellent coffee, pastries, and breakfast sandwich. Such a treat each morning of our stay at the Moxy next door but would come make a special trip for the cafe next time we're in NYC . Also, the staff were super nice.

MEDIOCRE ! A trap for naive tourists:(

By ErMatador |

As per the title. Classic bar on the ground floor attached to the hotel. Frequented mainly by hotel guests who have to spend a coupon as a B&B treatment. Prices beyond all expectations or expensive compared to the already expensive prices of NYC. Clearly nobody says anything because they only pay the difference + state taxes. I attach a few photos with prices. Quality however not bad ditto the service. I do not recommend, in the area there is better.

Great cafe!

Frequented the Cafe d’Avignon first thing every morning of our trip to NYC as we were staying in The Moxy hotel and weirdly the destination tax of $30 per day per room came back to us in credits if we used the Cafe d’Avignon/Legasea/The Moxy Bar or Magic Hour. Really good coffee, pastries, baguette sandwiches and some hot food like bacon and egg rolls etc. Good quality food to have on the run or to sit down and enjoy.

Excellent service and food.

Surprisingly bakery

I didn’t think much of the cafe besides the hotel but it is absolutely wonderful! I’m sorry I didn’t try it earlier in my stay. Excellent coffee and a good assortment of French bakery items. I didn’t look at the larger menu. Worth a stop!

Great

We were staying at the Moxy Hotel, so we had $30 per day for the bakery or the bar in the hotel. I got something from the bakery once. 1 sandwich with ham, 1 sandwich and 1 croissant were enough for the $30. It was really very good. Everything was very fresh and there was enough of it.

Best Almond Croissant

By Miriam S |

I don't know how they double-bake croissants, but they are amazing--crispy on the outside with lots of almond filling and buttery layers. All the pastry we tried was excellent, as was the coffee. The perfect continental breakfast.

Wonderful Cafe

We loved this cafe! We had breakfast here everyday for 7 days while in New York, and we were always greeted with a smile and genuinely happy staff. Alina and Carolina were simply amazing and our morning sunshine. Thank you so much!

Best spiced pumpkin latte in NY - made with real pumpkin, not too sweet, great coffee, lovely!! The GruyĆØre and ham croissant was to die for.

Bread aroma and warmth

By D M |

Delicious French menu items. Fast service, warm interior with fresh bread aromas wafting about. Try the croque monsieur and peppermint tea.

Expensive but good

By Urban Traveler |

Wanting to avoid Starbucks for breakfast, I came here. The coffee is much richer and the patisserie is very good. It's 20% more expensive, yes.

French breakfast at Time Square

By Sylvette P |

Perfect appointment for a French breakfast. Sumptuous chocolate, the same goes for the pastries, all for a US price of €28 for 2 (2 large chocolates, 2 pastries, 2 orange juice).
