The best place

By Tahreer D |

The best cannolis I came from chicago for this! I will be back. Baby john is the best You won't be disappointed

Too much sugar

By slh2012 |

Heated to test if they have authentic cannolis… verdict: nope! Too much sugar. Also the place is packed… very touristic.

Dessert

By GOChristine |

We stopped in after having dinner in Chinatown. We had Cappuccinos, pistachio ricotta cheesecake, crème brûlée and mini cannoli, all delicious. It’s a busy cafe with friendly staff.

Sweet delicious fresh amazing

By matthew P |

Amazing cannoli. Better than the ones that I had in Italy. Sweet delicious filling with a good ol crunch. I saw a lot of negative reviews for this place you do have to realize this is a Restaurant if you want to sit at the table it’s like any other restaurant you have a waiter you have gratuity and you have tax so please don’t complain when this is a restaurant and a café. I will definitely be returning when I come back to New York City.

Best cannolis in the galaxy

By Amy B |

To call these the best cannolis in NY or the US or even the planet does not do justice to how delicious these cannolis are. You’ll savor each second you eat these.

I will NEVER come back

By Madasha |

Of course the spritz is good, but the tout (or the boss of a certain age) who runs after people so that we can drink in the café is detestable! He looks at looks to choose who has the honor of sitting down... he sends away all the young people with a trendy look... yet each of us deserves to have a drink wherever we want!!!!! Finally, to say this is my first bad experience in New York and there are lots of other charming places that are worth the detour and our visit!!!

Sweet and tasty

By rob62521 |

We had a sweet treat of a Bombe and chocolate Cannoli and it was amazing. We bought a few sweet treats to take with us and they were absolutely wonderful. The service was terrific even though they were slammed.

Best cannoli ever!!!

By aglez23 |

Tried the cannoli 3 different days.. awesome flavor.. crunchy. Tiramisu over the top as well. Little Italy’s best

BEST in NYC

By Rhory G |

I've had my fair share of cannolis around the world, including in Italy, and I can tell you the ones at Caffe Palermo are authentic. Do yourself a favour and stop in. If you aren't in the mood for a cannoli, the other desserts won't disappoint either.

Good, not great

By ETNfamily3 |

We stopped here after walking around little Italy for a while. My daughter got a cannoli and loved it. I had black berry tart and it was good. My wife had the Carmel cheesecake and liked it. Service was slow as we had to wait for a menu as they just walked by us several times. Over all it was good.

Lobster Tail King

By Jane P |

Idk about cannoli king (I didn't like the cannoli, but I think I'm just not a cannoli fan.) but we also ordered the Lobster Tail and it was phenomenal! The owner walked by as I was inhaling this pastry and asked us to leave a review... Embarrassing for me as I'm sure I was covered in powdered sugar and in a pastry induced dream world. 🤣 Literally, hands down, the Lobster Tail is best thing I've ever eaten!

Gluten free

By daniella p |

I can’t say enough good things about this gluten-free cannoli! As someone who usually has to miss out on classic Italian pastries, I was blown away. The shell was perfectly crisp with that light crunch you want in a cannoli, no one would ever guess it’s gluten-free. The filling was rich, creamy, and just the right balance of sweet, with a hint of vanilla and a smooth texture that paired beautifully with the shell. What really impressed me is that it didn’t feel like a compromise at all, it tasted authentic, indulgent, and absolutely satisfying. This is the kind of dessert that makes you forget you’re eating gluten-free. I’ll definitely be coming back for more

Best cannoli in the WORLD

By Alyssa_all_around |

Being Italian I’ve tried many different cannolis and this one is hands down THE BEST I’ve ever had. They are so fresh & the shell is perfectly crispy. I’ve always heard amazing things about this place so I finally came down to Little Italy to try one this weekend and was blown away. Definitely a must try!!!

Fab Coffee & Cake Cafe

By Stacey F |

Stopped here for a break from walking, two lattes and a Madeline dipped with chocolate and it was fabulous! We were recommended this place by a local, and even the local police officers stopped by for coffee and cake which says it’s a hit with the locals. Would happily return and also recommend!

Go for the cannoli, stay for the cannoli costume

By KC G |

I had THE best and most unique first visit here. I purchased some cannoli and noticed the giant cannoli costume on the wall, I asked Baby John if I could wear it (expecting him to say no) and he enthusiastically said yes! He was so nice, and wearing that ridiculous & awesome cannoli costume truly made my year. Not to mention, the cannoli were Delicious!!! I will def be back. Highly recommend if you’re in NYC and enjoy friendly people, quality cannoli (and giant cannoli costumes).

Amazing Amazing Pastries.

By QUINTIN F |

If you will only be in little Italy for a little while, this shop will make your experience memorable. Prices are very decent, especially for the excellent pastries.

We met the Cannoli King!

By appleshoe |

We had friends visiting from Alabama and we just happened to park our van in front of Caffe Palermo. There's a big picture of the Cannoli King, Baby John, in the front window of his store. John was leaving the bakery, we recognized him from the picture and our friend jumped out of our van and ran after him. He came back to the bakery to take a picture with us! He was generous, funny and made us feel like family. And the Cannolis were absolutely delicious.

Delicious cheesecake & chocolate mousse

By Brandy |

We had just finished dinner next door and decided we couldn’t just head through Little Italy without stopping at this “World Famous” place. I think the canolli title must have been for a reason but for the cakes? Delicious! We’ve been looking for a good cheesecake and light dessert place. This totally hit the spot. Great craftsmanship.

This place is absolutely amazing!

By Kyle K |

This place is absolutely amazing! I came here for the DECA trip and I was absolutely astonished. The shell was so fresh and the hint of cinnamon topped it off. The ricotta filling was so rich and it had the perfect amount of chocolate chips in it. Thanks Baby John!

The KING of CANNOLI - melts in your mouth

By TeacherMom07 |

There's a reason John has been in business for over 46 years, and that is because this is the BEST place to get cannoli, baked goods, lunch, anything you want. This place is FOR REAL! Delicious, excellent quality, clean and FUN!!!

Cannoli dreams

By Kasandra M |

If you never dreamt about food before, you will after you visit this place. The three desserts we tried were absolutely exquisite. If you are lucky enough to be there when the owner, Baby John, is in, you will feel as if you are part of his Italian family. The food will leave you wanting more, and the interaction with Baby John and his staff will create a memorable NYC experience. Go for a cannoli, but don't stop at that. It's euphoria for your taste buds.

Holy Cannoli- AMAZING 🤩

By Jennifer W |

Holy Cannnoli this was amazing!!!! The pizza and service was outstanding! It was our first time to ever have cannoli for dessert OMG!!! The Cookies and Cream, Original and Chocolate dipped All PHENOMENAL!! When you visit NYC go to Little Italy and see Baby John the Cannoli King himself, you won’t be disappointed ❤️

Cafe Palermo. Little Italy, Manhattan

By Rachel Tantaro |

The Cannoli King has the best cannolis! Here's a perfect order! The restaurant is very clean and perfect for dessert before a movie!

Gluten free

We sat outside and enjoyed a nice glass of wine. My wife who is gluten free enjoyed the tiramisu immensely! Thank you for having some GF options!

We LOVED the cannolis, the hospitality, and the great life message from the owner. Can't wait to come back and try the gelato!!! This is a must stop in Little Italy!

The cannolis are the best I’ve ever had! It was great service and the restaurant was very homey. I loved the experience to come to this store in Little Italy.

Cannoli's to go

By ryanwk628 |

Stopped in on our way out of town and got cannolis to take home for family members. They were very good (my wife and I have been to Italy several times and hand the real thing there) vs whatever it is some places sell. The girl behind the counter was friendly. We will be back!

Best cannolis

By Lori |

Stopped it to get a few cannolis for my daughter and she loved them. She said they were the best she ever had. I usually do not like cannolis but tasted one of my daughter’s and ended up eating the whole thing. So good!!

SO INCREDIBLY NICE

By Ashley B |

My friend got sick on the corner of the street and they gave uswater and even let me use the bathroom after hours Such sweet people!!!

Best Cannoli’s Ever

By Ayden Francis |

The best cannolis I’ve ever ate. Doe is perfect with the filling. He truly is the Cannoli King!!!!!!

Major rip off and disappointment

By Patricia M |

This is the only positive. The meatballs and cannoli's are pretty good. The atmosphere is okay. I was there with friends. The meatballs came served as sliders on Hawaiian rolls! Seriously!! ?? We ordered a $38.00 bottle of wine to enjoy with our meatballs. When the waitress brought the bottle of wine, it had already been opened with a cork put back in the bottle. Now I have ordered bottles of wine before, you uncork the wine at the patrons table. The wine bottle label was also falling off the bottle. CONCLUSION- Caffe Palermo is filling their bottles of wine with cheap crap wine and trying to pass it off as the wine we thought we ordered. We didn't even drink the wine. VERY TACKY. VERY WRONG. We will NEVER go back again.

The best in the city

By Michael L |

Better than mikes pastries in Boston! No contest this is the best in the city hands down! Must have must stop!

Delicious!

By 123Familyof5 |

We stopped in for dessert after having a disappointing dinner down the street. The people were welcoming, the desserts looked appetizing and delicious and the service was quick and friendly. We had a cannoli and lobster tail and they did not disappoint!! A great find that ended our evening in little Italy on a high note!!

BEST CANOLLIS

By Aceadia H |

These are the best CANOLIS EVER. Their drinks go so well with dessert and the service is so quick and nice.

Cannoli Heaven

By JC 23 |

After a busy day visiting little Italy, we headed to Caffe Palermo for dessert and coffee. The caffe promotes that John is the King of Cannoli's and he does not disappoint. The cannoli's were divine and the tiramisu was also a highlight.

The older guy behind the counter.

By Alsen R |

The guy behind the counter literally yelled at me. Thats crazy how rude and disrespectful is. Older guy. This kind of people should not work in service industry. Will never go back. The guy behind the counter literally yelled at me. Food was good. Dessert also, server was excellent. But the guy behind the counter beed to pay a visit to therapist.

Real Canolli King

By Jardhead1988 |

Best cannoli around. Stopped in for an afternoon visit and the freshness and taste of the cannoli was second to none! Best around, highly recommend

Don’t eat dinner first, just go here for dessert

By dma1969 |

We ate dinner in Chinatown and headed to Little Italy for dessert. Wow! The menu! I wish I hadn’t eaten dinner! It was so hard to choose but we ordered the mini cannolis and some gelato. So yummy. I wish I could go again tomorrow night!

Omg!! The most amazing cannolis

By Janyca |

Omg!! The most amazing cannolis ever!! Definitely must visit, when you are in New York!!! Loved it !!

Delish Cannolis

By twinkles311 |

Quick service and delish! Will be back again. Counterlady friendly and packed cannolis to make trip to Bronx.

Exceeded all Expectations

By Ayelet H |

The cannoli king definitely deserves his title, his cannoli's are incredible. But we didn't stop there. The pistachio cheesecake was to die for, the Millionaire hot cocktail, AKA Baby John's favorite, was the perfect beverage to go with our dessert feast. This should be a "must go" on everyone's "To-Do" list when visiting NY.

Caffé Palermo

By Khaoula B |

I went here with a friend to grab some coffee, but seeing everyone enjoying desserts and cakes, I decided to try something myself. Lina, the friendly assistant with a beautiful smile, convinced me to order the lava brownie with ice cream and a cinnamon cappuccino, which I had been considering. When the order arrived and I tasted the brownie, I was absolutely delighted.

Awesome cannoli

By Ashley C |

Stopped in just to get a cannoli while in little Italy and was not disappointed! Met the cannoli king himself and he was very friendly! I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Tasty cannolis

By Seasiider |

We were made to feel very welcome in this cafe as soon as we walked in. Quick service and great staff. The cannolis were delicious as were the hot caffe lattes. Can't wait to go back!

Magical experience at Caffe Palermo NYC

By Erica |

Fantastic food and amazing hospitality from the amazing Baby John! We shared cannoli and gelato with family, then had surprise fireworks!! Truly magical experience. Thank you!

Overrated

By Joseph P |

Got a mushroom pizza, cannoli and cappuccino. Mushroom pizza average, nothing special. Cannoli ok. Cappuccino not drinkable. Service ok but when the waitress didn’t get enough tips she came back complaining and telling us «what goes around comes around » Disappointed. Not recommended.

DECA

By ALEXAN'DREYAHNA W |

I LOVE CAFFÉ PALERMO ! the atmosphere is just great & the cannolis are amazing! i had a great experience. I will definitely be returning here to take some of these homes! Thanks Cannoli King!

They have the best cannoli I ever had in my whole life! The atmosphere was darling and the employees were even better. Amazing amazing amazing! Must go in Little Italy.

Love it!

By Wrights.On.The.Road |

This was our 3rd visit to Cafe Palmero and it did not disappoint! The kids got cake and my husband and I split the cannoli flight. We also had the meatballs. Needless to say, there was nothing left on anyone’s plate - so yummy!

The best Canollis

By Ayat A |

This is bi far the best place for canollis! The best atmosphere and great employees. Very friendly employees.

AKA Cannoli King - Little Italy - TRY THE CANNOLI

By Rich G |

Came for dessert to see for myself if their cannoli was as good as the sign suggest. And they were! Amazing, fresh, and delicious. We ordered a few to go of the small ones ($3 each), and were magically delicious. Small dining room, but if there's no seats just get the stuff to go!

Excellent lunch!!

By Thomas G |

Excellent paninis!! Met the owner as well, he’s a great guy. I highly recommend them. We will be going back for the pizza and canola next time.

Approach Cautiously

By robincatsmeow |

The large case of dessert selections that you can see from the sidewalk was the draw for us. Once inside though, it took a turn. We wanted dessert and was gazing at all the selections when a waitress, not much on personality, came up and asked if we were planning to eat there or carry out. We were planning to eat our dessert there, so the waitress said we had to take a seat and be waited on. Well we waited, and waited, and waited, for at least 15 minutes for the waitress. This is a small café, with two waitresses. The young men behind the dessert case seemed more eager to help than the lackluster waitresses. We finally gave up and went around the corner to Ferrara Bakery & Café where all of the employees were eager for our business and very courteous. Their desserts were delicious.

Ms.Missouri

By Maci K |

Me family and I had a great experience and got to talk to the King himself! Amazing cannolis and very friendly!

The best New York experience

By Laird H |

We stopped by Caffee Palermo twice on our trip to New York . Both times were excellent last night there was a singer out front chanting Sinatra songs which just added to the atmosphere of being in New York. The cannolis are excellent and aperol spritz too. The owner was very welcoming and spoke to us when we arrived and left.

Insanely great pastries

By Artie1970 |

If you are in the Little Italy, or Chinatown area, you must go to Caffe Palermo for pastries and coffe(best exotic coffees also) Baby John aka- the Cannoli King, and his staff are super welcoming to all guests. You will feel as if they've known you for years. By far the best pastries in town. No one else is even in their league.

Tour with Cannoli King

By Chrissy H |

We had an amazing informative discussion about this awesome business!! We sampled THE best cannolis in the City! The owner gave his personal experience and story while interjecting humor and reaching the high school audience on their level. We had a great time and are sure to return!!

BEST Cannoli outside Sicily!

By Gary B |

MUST GO! I lived in Italy 11 years and travelled from Sicily to Northern Italy. These cannoli's & biscotti are AMAZING!!!! We went back 3 days in a row! Service was AWESOME! We sat on street & enjoyed "people watching".

Delicious Cannoli

By gussch1987 |

We went to this place after lunch for coffee and dessert. The cannoli was amazing! They really know what they are doing when it comes to espresso and dessert. Highly recommended.

Amazing Desserts!

By Jennifer & Fredrik |

They say they have the best cannolis in the world, and you know what, we believe them! We also tried the pistachio cheesecake and it was knock your socks off amazing. The service was great! The staff was friendly and we would definitely return.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!

By Jack Miller |

Great deserts! The service was HORRIBLE! The Japanese server had a MAJOR attitude and VERY slow! My family felt very uncomfortable with this Japanese server! She to nervous for the job! But the desserts was GREAT!

Delicious!!

By jam12419 |

We stopped here in search of the best cannolis in Little Italy and weren’t disappointed!! There’s such a variety to choose from, it was difficult to decide.

Italian bakery!

By Phil da Greek |

We went here for the cannoli, what a place! Busy, busy, busy what a fantastic range of cakes & coffee to either eat in or take away. Great place and highly recommended.

Super rude host and waitress. I’m giving two stars giving them the benefit of the doubt on their Cannolis.

By BlueShoesAdventures |

We entered this place attracted for their sign outside that read: “King of Cannoli”. As soon as we stepped inside we were “created” by a “host” (older man) that almost screamed at us saying: “You have to make a line. You can’t be standing here.” What? What is that all about? Maybe you have had bad experiences in the past but that’s not a way to treat your customers... We let it slip and some proceeds to buy some cannoli while others went to get a table and all of the sudden a waitress says you can’t sit if you don’t buy. We just left! We will not give our hard earned money to this people. We’ll try Cannoli somewhere else!

The best!!!

By Jenna D |

Visited Cafe Palermo and had the best time!! Received the best service and the best cannolis!! Truly the best of Little Italy. Thank you Baby John and your amazing staff for creating a memorable experience for my family and I!!

Love the cannolis

By MPtripletta |

Stopped in while walking back to Subway. I ordered the two large Cannolis, $10, excellent filling and perfect shell. Dessert counter filled with Italian goodies, wish I had room in my suitcase.

Cannoli time

By Janette S |

Wanted to have a bite to eat in Little Italy and the cannolis in the window looked so good we stopped here. Very tasty!

A Taste of Little Italy

By Brian B |

Outstanding. Authentic Italian. The canoli was great. I had the chicken Parm and loved it also enjoyed a Brooklyn Lager.

❤❤❤

By bookwormabc |

Absolutely the best place in NYC (truly the world) for cannolis and other desserts 🍨. My husband and I were in NYC for 5 days and we visited the Cannoli King EVERY DAY. Mr. John was super friendly and treated us like family. This Georgia girl will be back very soon!!!!

HUGE selection of fantastic desserts!

By gussman2 |

We came here because of TA reviews. We were so glad we did! The dessert menu is huge. If you don't like cannoli (WHAT?) you will still find something equally as delicious! My husband ordered the raspberry gelati with raspberry sauce and it was heavenly. We also had a small sampler-type plate of three mini cannoli and they were as good as we expected. I also had a chocolate cannoli and it was fantastic. The only bummer here is it is tiny so very crowded and noisy. But, it is worth it. I so wished we had had time to return for more desserts and to try the pizza.

Cute.

By umbobl |

Small bakery with Italian products to make many of our products known abroad Good sfogliatella, minus the cannoli

The Cannoli King

By R-n-P_in_NC |

Went in for coffee and, you guessed it, a Cannoli and were thrilled with everything. A lot of hustle and bustle, so not the most relaxing place, but the staff was friendly and efficient so, combined with the great food, this is a must stop when in Little Italy.

The worst service I've ever had. Bad pizza, fake Aperol cocktail

By Koberg |

The worst service I've ever had. The cocktail we ordered was watery and when we said it and asked to strengthen it, we were added to the account for $ 2 without any prior notice. The manager / owner turned off the lights in the restaurant and told us to go home. Shocking service, poor quality cocktails and bad attitude

Late night dessert stop

By Sweetfannyadams |

We were wandering through the area after having dinner in Chinatown. We fancied something sweet to finish off the evening, and shared a slice of red velvet cake and a portion of profiteroles. The cake was good, the profiteroles were amazing. Wish we had tried the cannoli as well.

Excellent dessert

By roneeh |

The place around the corner was super crowded so we came in here and so glad we did. I didn’t know what an exotic bomba was but I certainly want one again!

A must go place

By Vigan H |

Pretty busy place! exept that they have the best Cannoli in New York the service here is awesome! will be back again to visit the waitress Val!

I absolutely loved it here

By Brittany Durham |

This is the best restaurant I've been too in New York City. I've loved it so much, best cannolis ever!!!

Excellent place for pastry and espresso in Manhattan's Little Italy

By Michael A |

After eating dinner in Chinatown, my friend and I went to Caffe Palermo for desert. I had a chocolate covered cannoli and a rainbow cookie. My friend had some kind of chocolate tort. To drink, I had a caffè doppio and my friend had a tea. My pastries and coffee were excellent. I recommend Caffe Palermo for dessert.

Perfect Dessert Spot

By mdee0210 |

Stopped in after dinner after hearing rave reviews about their almond tiramisu. Upon arrival, thankfully we were able to grab a table in the already full establishment. Cutely decorated, warm, and just overall welcoming. The display cases are already enticing enough. We opted for the almond tiramisu, their famous cannoli, and an assorted bomboloni, all accompanied by an iced mocha and espresso. We greatly enjoyed all of the deliciousness we had in front of us, what made it even greater, was the cute man playing the accordion. Not at any point were they not busy, there was always a line forming to the door, tables packed full of satisfied customers, all the while, employees that were actually attentive and so kind. If you are anywhere near Little Italy, or in the city, you NEED to stop in at Caffe Palermo!

Great service and dessert

By Itinerant_Foodies |

Our service was excellent. We knew they served more than just dessert so we had the pomodoro and mozzarella salad which was huge with at least a half pound of mozzarella but flavor was just ok. The eggplant parmagianna hero was good but too sweet. And of course the Chocolate Cannoli was very good!

Perfecto

By Kirsten H |

Lovely atmosphere Great selection of delectable Italian goodies Lots of smiling happy faces Cannoli, cheesecake, lobster tails (!) which are a dessert.

Palermo cannoli is a bit different

By Felixca |

Not bad for being in NY but we are far from being the best cannoli in planet earth. Suggested a visit in Palermo with a masterclass in city centre

Tourist trap

By Skippy |

Be aware for these scammers! Select on 'lowest reviews'. I never write negative reviews but they made me angry! Watch out, it's a tourist trap. They don't show their prices, only on a card if you sit. You have to ask the prices. They will stimulate you to sit on a table than they will charge you extra money for that. My friend paid €29 for 1 coffee (also gave the wrong coffee) and 6 small canoli's. Also they are not friendly, the way the employee communicated that we were not allowed to sit on the table we want to but we had to sit on a 2 persons table right next to another woman because that table was for us 2 persons. Than comes this BS: I wasn't allowed to sit on the table because I didn't want anything but my friend already ordered a coffee & canoli's. Seriously, I got so frustrated the way they try to force you to also order so i left this place!! Also read other reviews and you can see I'm not the only one who feels scammed. Also the way they react to other negative reviews is really unprofessional.

Try the mini cannollis!

By Elke M |

Love this little shop! We stopped by after dinner and enjoyed a cappuccino and variety of desserts. Our server was "divine"!!! Loved the fun personality! Would definitely go back! .

perfect dessert

By Joe |

my family and i had dessert there one night after dinner. we sat outside and had a great time. the desserts were delicious and the service was great

Desserts are Yummy!

By CFR |

Stopped by to picked up a box of Italian cookies and a side of some pastry to bring to some family in New Jersey after lunch over the Holiday Weekend. A lot of the cookies were out by the time we got there, which was like 4pm, but just enough left to make a good box. Guess that speaks for how fast the cookies sell out. Also grabbed a slice of dark chocolate cake that had just come out into the display. So, finished out the cookies at about a 2lb box, couple of loose large ones -2 b/w, and the slice of cake was about $45. total. I thought a little pricey on the cookies, but couldn't tell cause nothing was broken out. The cake tasted that night, was really delicious. The cookies shared next day, top notch, very good traditional (sprinkled, jam filled...) Italian cookies. Did find everyone was friendly people, helping out at the cafe.

The best cannoli ever

By leandro n |

The best cannoli ever! The place is very familiar and the service is very fast! Really recommend for desserts in Little Italy.

Small but pretty good.

By Cherry_Wonderdog |

Very respectable cannoli tasted during our food tour. It was on the small side and didn’t look especially pretty compared to the one we had eaten the previous night at Carmine’s. Still, Cherry Wonderdog’s better half preferred this one to the one in Times Square. I disagreed based on the presentation alone, but for the price, the ones from Caffe Palermo seemed quite good!

LEAVE THE MONEY. TAKE THE CANNOLI.

By U6738OOjohnc |

After a great lunch, my wife and I stopped here for some cannoli. Not a lot of seating, but we just wanted to order some to go so we ordered at the case. Lots of options, but we got two small regular and two small chocolate-covered. We also got a coffee to go, which wasn't the best coffee I had on the trip. But the cannoli was fresh and tasty, although a bit pricier than we expected. Sign says it's the "Cannoli King", but I would have to try some other places to be sure.

Delicious

By STiner3 |

Really really really great bakery! The staff was friendly and attentive. And the canolis are out of this world!

You won’t be disappointed

By Tammy L |

We stopped in to check out the cannoli (they are called the Cannoli King) and ate lunch as well. The service was fast and friendly and the food was great. We had paninis and the original cannoli. The gelato looked great as well. Right in Little Italy!

Best Canoli and deserts!

By Travelingpatternmaker |

My wife and I had desert in Little Italy after eating in Chinatown and ended up at the Caffe Palermo 'the canoli king' restaurant. We each had canoli's and my wife had a Bomba. Wow, hers was so very good. If you see it on the menu please try it, you won't be disappointed. Nice and good people in the restaurant, So fun to find!

The Best Cannoli in Little Italy

By Tommy |

My favorite place for dessert in Little Italy! The best!!! The home of the Cannoli King! I highly suggest this as your first or last stop!

Wasted time and money here!

By Christos G |

Maybe this place was king at one time but no more. Customer service is non existent. It’s become a tourist trap in an ever shrinking little Italy being swallowed up by Chinatown. Seems like they are trying to make the quickest buck they can before shutting down shop and moving out like the rest of the Italians have.

Don't forget New York cheese cake

By Alice O |

Canoli was indeed good, but equally noteworthy was their New York cheese cake. We also tried creme brule. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended

By colbuck |

The cannolo tasted great and the tiramisu also looked like it was homemade by an Italian family . The premises reminded me of a typical Italian bar of the '70s: it is great to see that some authentic places still exist in Little Italy. Prices are reasonable for the NYC standards (a large cannolo to take away is 7 dollars).

Fresh desserts and nice drinks

By Rebecca P |

Indoor dining opened today. I visited Cafe Palermo with my sister this evening. We shared a tiramisu and it was absolutely delicious and so fresh. We had a shot of Bailey’s Irish cream to compliment our dessert. I highly recommend Cafe Palermo. We have eaten here before and all the desserts are amazing. Our server, Rea was attentive and friendly like usual. The manager, Baby John is always very welcoming. Do support our businesses!!

Delicious desserts

By caitybear |

We stopped by some for pastries to go-I don’t know the real names, but we called cream filled ones lobster tails, we also had a chocolate mousse dish and a Neapolitan. All were delicious and little in the movie is such a fun place to visit.

Time with DECA students.

By M.Donald |

The absolute best cannoli in NYC. Great cannoli and great atmosphere. It is a must stop in Little Italy.

Get the cream puffs!

By Jack |

Caffe Palermo is amazing! I’ve been here twice and it is a must if you are in Little Italy. The Cream Puffs are filled with Nutella and they are out of this world!! I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area!

Great Italian Cafe

By C3650SCjimd |

Great Cafe with amazing Italian pastries. The cannoli’s are excellent. I highly recommend this place.

Super nice people ✌🏻✌🏾✌🏽

By Stan Tecza |

Customer service here was top notch. The owner and the staff are a class act. Just very warm service all around. Cannoli was excellent. Lobster tail I won’t eat until tomorrow and peanut butter cake was phenomenal from the few bites I tasted. I knew I was going to like this place once I saw Roger Stone being a regular on the Gram. Will definitely come back again.

By WanderRoo |

Stopped here on a tour with DECA. Owner gave a great talk and we had fantastic cannoli’s. Vivianne stopped by for a moment as well and we got a quick info session on Saint Gennarro (she runs the famous festival). Forgive any spelling errors please, I wrote this on the fly.

NECESSARY FOR NEW YORK! One of the greatest experiences I've had with a restaurant and a hallmark to the New York community. The deserts we're delicious, the atmosphere was friendly, baby John (the owner) was just hilarious, it was just amazing! Definitely a MUST

First Cannoli..AMAZING!!

By Rachel R |

We visited on a mission to try our first cannoli and we weren't prepared for such a delicious treat. It was quite crowded when we came in and wasn't really acknowledged but we were determined to get us a cannoli. We planned to sit down but was told each cannoli would cost an extra $2 if we sat. So we took it to go and went and tried more cannolis down the street and Caffe Palermo's were the best. They should consider working on their customer service skills tho..seriously, if their food wasn't so great we would not return.

the best !

DECA

By Kenyatta B |

Best part of the little Italy tour was learning the history of how Cafe Palermo was found and tasting the BEST Cannoli on the planet! True New York Authenticity!

Friendly King!

By Victoria |

My boyfriend and I went in by chance for some treats... and to get away from the crowded street (we went during the Feast of San Gennaro festival). The drinks were good but the food was even better! While we were sipping on our sangrias, the Cannoli King himself came to the table and started making cannolis! He was so funny and easy to talk to. Such a charming personality, he even gave us a taste of the cannolis as he was making them 🤤 Truly the best cannolis we've ever had, the cream was perfectly sweet while the cannoli itself was mouth-watering and perfectly crunchy. BEST CANNOLIS IN THE GAME (the boyfriend) - your kids from the gym

“Simply The Best”

By Imelda |

First off, the large variety pf desserts was impressive. My family and I love desserts. I had Red velvet cheesecake and it was to die for. My kids liled the black and white cookies which were the perfect size for them. My sister -inlaw loved the cannolis and had two. The restaurant was casual, relaxing, and homey with a very pleasant and accompdating staff. My brother and his family which were visiting from California enjoyed a very relaxing evening in Cannoli King. However, in the morning after a pleasant evening, I discovered that I had lost my wallet with my bunch of creditcards, bank card and drivers license. After starting to cancel one of my creditcard I received a call from a Chase Representativewho was with “Baby John”, the owner of Caffe Palermo aka cannoli king. Baby John tried to find my phone number in Nk but after no luck finding the number, he took the time to go to a Chase branch since one of my “lost”creditcard was with Chase.I was relieved to hear that he had found my wallet in his restaurant. He is one in a million and he definetly goes above and beyond in taking care of his guests. Without a doubt his restaurant has become a favorite for my family. Thank you for your caring amd caring of your staff. Bravo Baby John!👌👌You are the best.

Nostalgic visit to Little Italy

By ChuckeyGal |

Just as we remembered! The cheesecake was heavenly and the cannoli was perfection! What a nice place to stop midday for a break, hot drinks and sweet snacks. We have been stopping here on our trips to the city for many years and we were not disappointed! Delicious! Thanks for keeping Little Italy real!

A Little Italy Experience

By debsywalker |

Just loved the vibe in this place, caught our eye with the queue as we went for dinner and simply had to come back for desserts. We did take out and the guys behind the counter really made us feel we were having a true New York Italian experience. Best cannoli possibly but as a tourist experience in Little Italy a must from me.

Yummy dessert

By Natalie H |

We got a cannoli, a lobstertail and the hazelnut passion. If the place calls itself the cannoli king, you should really just get the cannoli. That was by far the best pastry. The cream in the lobstertail was delicious but the pastry wasn't as fresh at 7pm after dinner. Hazelnut was nice but paled in comparison to the other desserts. We got it to go and munched while strolling down Mulberry Street.

Canoli in Little Italy

By Eliane Mateus |

The counter attendant was very inattentive. Several people passed in front of me. I only stayed because I wanted to try the canoli. I didn't think it was a big deal and it's ridiculously expensive. I won't go back there.

Sure try the cannoli - but if you want your toes to curl in a good way - try the cheese cone

By nekko95 |

I tried the almond spun carmalized cheese cone - first, the cone is taste of wonder and then it's filled with a creamy sweet cheesecake - did I mention creamy and sweet? Oh wow - I just about melted onto the sidewalk - it was that good. Never had anything like this before. If you have a sweet tooth - this will hit the spot - both the cone and the filling are sweeter than a cannoli.

Best Cannoli I’ve ever had. Best atmosphere and one of the best family friendly restaurant experiences I’ve had.

Definitely stop by here for dessert or pasta

By kimberly s |

Amazing food and service! The fettuccine Alfredo was excellent. Drinks are pricey if you’re buying liquor but that’s expect. I loved it here!

DECA NEW YORK

By Jeffery A. |

This place was amazing. Before this trip I had never had a cannoli before but the first one i had from here was "the best in the world". I totally recommend this Italian cafe for a great experience and an amazing cannoli. It truly captures the essence of little Italy and makes you feel as if you are in Italy. Can not recommend enough.

Had dessert and coffee

By Joe |

Sat outside in little Italy eating cookies and drinking coffee and people watching. The desserts were great the coffee excellent. A must visit place when in nyc

Grab the cannoli to go

By JenRed2014 |

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5 star cannolis! ⭐️⭐️2 star waitress attitude ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4 star food ⭐️⭐️2 star prices We decided to sit down, I think that’s where we went wrong. We should have grabbed sweets to go. Instead the waitress audibly groaned when I said I didn’t want a drink…my husband quickly stepped up and ordered an Irish coffee. Turns out it was $18.95?! My cannoli was great, the carrot cake a bit dry. My advice is to get the cannoli to go, you’ll be glad you did.

Absolutely worth a visit!

By Jennifer K |

Amazing cannoli’s! We walked from 37th street and this was a delightful stop on our 18 mile walk. We ordered the pistachio and cookies/cream cannoli. Both were absolutely delicious. The staff was lovely as well. I will be dreaming of these until my next visit to NYC.

Wonderful

By Aubrey M |

I have never had such an amazing cannoli and I have had many! You definitely need to stop and try it because you with be in love with them!

Best desserts in Little Italy!

By Lisa M |

We've been to New York a few times visiting our grand daughter who attend Pace University. We always finish our Little Italy evening at Caffe Palermo. Service is great, staff is professional and owner is genuinely friendly. Highly recommend!

Very Disappointed

By ncfirefly |

We went to Little Italy specifically for this place. The doors were open and it was after 10:30am. They started yelling at us that they weren’t open yet. Alrighty then you just lost business and got yourself a bad review. I would never visit this place again.

50 years and it seems that they have lost their origins.

By Raül E |

We went to this cafe in New York's Little Italy with the expectation of making a good espresso and we found a long coffee served in a breakfast cup. And with the waiter's response "in NY everything is big." Disappointing.

Too much cinnamon in cannoli

By SONIA |

While service and atmosphere were pleasant, cannoli were not as expected for a place nominated “King of cannoli”. They were not up to the Italian, or better, to the Sicilian standard. All you could taste was cinnamon; I don’t think that’s the original recipe. The cannoli’s crust, on the other hand, was nice and crispy as it should be.

Best cannolis around

By Adrian B |

The cannolis were excellent. The cannoli king most definitely hooked me up. Will be back for sure. Would highly recommend for everyone.

One of my Highlights of NYC

By Vaca555 |

I love this place. Located in the heart of Little Italy it truly is quintessential NYC. The cannolis are amazing, the coffee is to die for and the service is very friendly. I stopped here twice during my last visit because I love it so much and it's a must to visit every time in NYC. This time we tried food, my kids loved the pizza and the eggplant sliders were a great snack. I highly recommend the Italian coffee.

Delicious desserts

By Elli |

A little pricey but very delicious! You might have to wait a little while to get a table but it's well worth it! We had a few different sweet things and they were all amazing!

Home of the Cannoli King!

By MeeShellMidwifeRN |

Home of the Cannoli King! We stopped in for hot cocktails and cannoli’s, delicious! The service was great and all staff was very friendly. Loved all the Christmas decor!

Empty cannolo

By Cristiana C |

I ordered a mini cannolo and instead of having a very good cannolo in the middle of little italy, I had an half empty cannolo. I am Italian but my expectation were not high but having an empty shell and call it cannolo it s just unacceptable. The flavor was not bad though.

Best Cannoli in the World

By Saben7 |

If you go to Little Italy you must eat cannoli here. Absolutely delish!! I am hoping they ship...LOL

Disappointed

By E_White176 |

My husband was in little Italy for dinner & promised to bring me home a lobster tail. He stopped at Caffe Palermo. I couldn’t wait for him to get home, but it was so disappointing. It must have been filled a long time before, because the shell was soggy. It was missing the nice crispy texture as a counterpoint to the creamy filling (which was heavy, not light and fluffy). Maybe their cannolis are king, but their lobster tails are not!

Best dessert in all of manhattan

By Madisonfoster |

Not only is it the best tasting but the people and interior of the bakery made it an overall experience. My boyfriend and I were welcomed in by the owner and he was authentic and made our experience personal. Anytime I am in town i will come back to enjoy a dessert, cup of coffee or even a glass of wine.

Good, but the King?

By Lainie L |

Caffe Palermo, aka the Cannoli King, was the fourth stop on my food tour. Our tour group didn't go into the restaurant which didn't look too busy. There was seating available after 2 pm. I like cannoli but I don't love it. But I'm always curious to see what cannoli tastes like from different restaurants/bakeries. The filling is creamy, not too rich or too sweet. I also appreciate the mini chocolate chips! I'd never turn down chocolate! The shells are decently crunchy, a satisfying contrast to the smooth filling. They don’t crumble into a mess, which is very important, nor are the shells too hard. The cannoli was good, but I don't know if I'd call them the best. Price wise, they're $$ for a small dessert you can eat in two bites. I'd need to try cannoli from other places in order to make an informed comparison. And I'm not just saying that as an excuse to eat more cannoli. Maybe.

Caffe Palermo

By Diomedes Raul B |

Best cannoli, amazing owner!! He’s a legendary New York character. Saw him on entertainment tonight!

Great cannoli

By Luisa |

We visited this cafe when we hopped off of the tour bus at the little Italy stop. We had heard that this was the best place to have a cannoli so we decided to stop for a coffee and cannoli as it was a very cold day. It was a small cafe with some tables. They did mini size cannoli which are great sizes as they’re too much to have. Would recommend if you want to stop in little Italy for a traditional sweet snack and coffee.

Cannoli’s

By GlamMa |

The cannolis here are the bomb! The canole king, he was actually here at the restaurant while we were eating. We walked all over a little Italy, to find this place.

You want cannolis? They got cannolis! Cannoli King

By psudino |

Caffe Palermo (look for the Cannoli King signs) is on the corner of Mulberry & Grand. They are known for their cannolis which come in many different flavors. What I like is that they have small sized if case you cannot decide and want to try a variety. I suggest going with a group and splitting a bunch of different flavors.

Samantha Taylor

By Samantha T |

He has the best Cannolis ever! No doubt he’s the best in the world. He also gives good advice and is such a great person to talk to! Highly recommend to visit Caffe Palermo when in New York. :)

Great desserts

By Agamemnon_87 |

We got an assortment of items, cannoli’s, cakes and a ‘lobster tail’ all were good quality! Not the cheapest, but we really enjoyed it! We sat outside the front of the shop and ate it whilst people watching in little Italy

There's a reason he's the Cannoli King!

By Xylon |

We went to the shop on a tour in Little Italy and I have to tell you it did not disappoint. He gave the whole group cannolis (side note, before today I had never had a cannoli but that's exactly how it should taste) and they were absolutely amazing. The whole time we are talking to the owner about the process, his start, and just advice about business. What made the whole experience though is the King himself, his personality gave an energy and life to the shop that I don't think you can get anywhere else in the city. If you want quality, you need to visit the Cannoli King.

Best dessert

By Hayat |

Their cannolis and cheesecake are the best I’ve ever had, service was quick and easy! Amazing place! Must try

Incredible

By Rebecca F |

We had a selection of mini cannoli and they are to die for! The ladies here are so friendly and attentive. Such a great experience for our first time in NYC little Italy

The worst and overpriced hot chocolate

By George T |

Cannoli are ok, for Americans I mean. I went there with an Italia family, it was extremely cold and we needed something how. So, we went in and ordered a hot chocolate. It was dirty water, it looked like the used half a bag of Swiss Miss hot chocolate, pathetic. I was embarrassed because in Italy they serve a chocolato fondente where the spoon stands in the middle of the cup, that thick. And the price? About $8 for each cup of that dirty water. If you go there, get a cannoli, yes, and maybe a cappucino, and BE READY TO PAY!!!

Wonderful Experience

By Coastal363101 |

We were visiting NY when someone in our party recognized the Cannoli King (aka Little John), our friend from New York approached him and asked if his Alabama family could get a picture with him. He not only allowed us to get a picture but also gifted us each a Cannoli to try. It was a wonderful experience that has made a special memory for us folks in Alabama. We had a great cannoli & a friendly welcoming experience!!!

Cannoli King

By Hillsey |

Couldn't go to Little Italy without having a traditional cannoli. They were perfect and went down a treat. The waitress helped us with the variations and we opted for the mixed mini cannoli's. We had a classic cannoli, chocolate with classic fill and the cheese fill. We wasn't sure about the cheese fill but the waitress recommended it and I'm glad she did. The cheese fill is a cheese cake mix and it was incredible. My wife and son chose their cakes so I had the cannolis. Highly recommend Caffe Palermo. A friendly place with a great atmosphere. Be back soon.

Wow wow wow

By Edward_Lawton |

Best cannolis in NYC

By Kendra Fielding |

The cannolis were amazing,, 10/10 would eat again :) I wish I lived here so I could eat it every day.

JUST GROSS!

By kathy |

Do not have the lobster tails. OMG they were gross. Co-worker purchased them for us, and we all said the same the thing "disgusting". Not sure who is the baker, but they best go back to baking school or taste before they put them out! The cream was AWFUL and the pastry part too!! Feel bad as she was so excited to share with us and also what a waste of her money!

Oh My Goodness!

By Ken G |

Absolutely delicious! If you are in little Italy NY you can’t not go to this place! Cannolis are of the charts!! Awesome

Dirty place, rude

By Zam T |

Absolutely disgusting and rude waitress. I was sworn at and given verbal abuse because there was nothing I had found interest on the menu. I hope you review that old lady’s work ethics. It’s foul and I would reccomend to write out a new job role. Sort it out!!! Seriously embarrassing and disrespectful behavior from this place. This happened today at 07/12/22.

A Cannoli Carol

By wed5am |

Stepping into Cannoli King in Little Italy is like teleporting straight to dessert heaven, where the cannolis reign supreme and every bite feels like a royal decree of deliciousness. It's the only place where being called a "cannoli hoarder" is a compliment, thanks to Chef/Owner John’s perfectly crispy shells and ricotta that's smoother than Sinatra’s serenades. If taste buds could sing, they'd belt out an opera every time a Cannoli King creation is near! Pro Tip: Pistachio Profiteroles. You’re Welcome.

Yummy Gluten Free Cannoli Creme in a Cup

By Navigator40068941407 |

Best gluten-free cannoli in a cup. The gelato and pasta are also excellent. Some nights they have live music outside in cafe seating area.

Kind people, and amazing treats.

By lauralee1888 |

We were here for four days and went twice. Couldn’t stay enough good things. When we went on Sunday, it was raining and the guy who helped us literally came out of the shop when he saw us looking at our phones to get subway directions, just to give us a plastic bag to protect the things we bought (they were in a paper bag) and the other bag we came in with. That spoke volumes to me. I’ll remember that, because it was so kind. He then helped me tie it and said “there you go! Now they won’t get wet!”. The cafe was very busy and it was just really thoughtful of him to do that. Truly, if you want great pastries in the city with nice people and a great experience, it’s the place to go. I’m an Italian, originally from Connecticut (though I live in Georgia now) and hold my Italian pastries to a very high standard and this one checked all my boxes. Pay them a visit.

Cannoli King rules!

By rbinsunnyfla |

We originally set out to try Ferrara Bakery and Café but was treated very rudely when we asked to sit at a bigger table (even though there were plenty available), so we decided to leave and take our money elsewhere and we are so glad we did! Once inside the Caffé Palermo, we were greeted by a friendly server who seated us at the table of our choice. I ordered a cannoli and cappuccino and my husband ordered the chocolate cake. I love cannoli and have eaten them in many places (including Italy) and I have to say, this was definitely one of the best (even rivaling my favorite one I ate in Italy!). The shell was fresh and crispy and the filling was to die for - so delicious! I could've easily had another one right there! I'm not much of a chocolate cake fan but my husband loved his choice and devoured it. My mouth is watering writing this review - wish I could have another cannoli from the Cannoli King right now! We will definitely be back our next trip to NYC!

Best Cannolis in Town! Must stop and get some! You won’t regret it!!! Very nice business, me and my DECA family really enjoyed the place and the cannolis there!!!

Utter crap! Slow service

By The_Travel_Family |

Took about 30 mins for these people to make an ice cream. Then they served us the wrong item. Saved my money and walked. Utter rubbish! Poor service all round. Do not recommend.

Peanut Butter pie

By SCTrojanDentist |

I saw one of their slices of peanut butter pie/cheese cake and knew I had to try it. Rich, creamy and decadent would be the best words to describe it. If I had to nitpick I’d say priced at $6.50 I though it was a little small for the price, if it had been the same size and $5.00 I would give it a 5 star(I do not give out 5 stars easily). I want to try their cannoli’s but I think if I come back I’ll go for the peanut butter pie again.

Cannolis are amazing

By Jeremiah D |

We came for a school trip and the cannolis were so amazing. I had never had a cannoli before but it made me want to never stop eating them. The filling tasted like eggnog, which made me reminisce about lovely Christmas’s with my family.
