EXCELLENT.

We loved it. Impeccable service and fabulous food. The sommelier very friendly as well as the waiters. Some spoke Spanish and did not hesitate to speak in that language to make communication more fluid. All excellent. Thank you.

A very special experience

Centurion New York as a special address for exclusive access to the 55th Floor of the Vanderbilt Building in central Manhattan with direct views of the Empire State and Chrysler Building. Unique cuisine, perfect service and unbeatable ambience

On Top of the World... Fantastic Spot

Amazing WOW factor. This place is located on the top floor of the newest luxury office tower in NYC, One Vanderbilt... right next to Grand Central Terminal. The views are stunning. Particularly amazing view of the Chrysler Building. There's a nice barl... the "casual" restaurant is there... and a more formal restaurant operated by the great chef, Daniel Boulud. Service is excellent wherever you go. Access is only for Amex Centurion Cardholders, hence the name. However, Platinum members can make reservations if there is room. I'm not sure of the timing. There is a great Ap, CENTURION NEW YORK, that is dedicated just for this property that has all the info on both restaurants, menus, and the ability to make reservations. I just had drinks at the bar as I had reservations elsewhere for dinner. Such a fabulous place. The staff there caters to your every need and is very professional. I enjoyed checking out the menus, looking at the picture-perfect views. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Flying and dreaming about NY

First time in New York. First time surrounded by this wonderful city and its impressive skyscrapers. And toast here, with all the lights of the most majestic buildings beneath your feet, doing “cin cin” with a great bloody mary in front of the view of the Empire State Building...A unique wonder! It's a special thanks to the barman (whose name unfortunately I can't remember), who delighted us with his cocktails. Also the dinner very good and quality!

Amazing views

A friend and I went to the Bistro for dinner after event. We'd had reservations in the Gallery but changed it in case we weren't that hungry. On a Thursday night, not crowded. Got in through the Amex concierge. The food was good and service attentive. Although I had gotten a call and text confirming, it was not mentioned that they only take American Express. Fortunately I had my card but my friend didn't. It would have been nice to have known that. Spacious. Many rooms from a bar, a la carte and formal dining. Views great. With everything New York has food wise, I dont know that I would go out of my way to go back.

Next Level Fine Dining Experience

Based on my previous research, the highlight of this place is the panoramic view of Manhattan, which excited me the most. Unfortunately, the night we visited for the first time, it was terribly foggy and sadly we did not have any views. Other than that disappointment, it was a lovely experience. You check in first at the lobby then you ride the elevator up to the 55th floor. The overall aesthetic is dark luxury, you will then be greeted by name and they also have a coat check. You arrive at the common lounge area first while the casual restaurant "The Studio" and the bar is to the left of the lounge, and the fine dining restaurant "The Gallery" will be past the bar. We were offered to either spend time at the lounge, the bar, or we could be seated at our table as it was already ready, but we decided to sit down for a drink at the lounge before dinner and enjoy the surroundings. I appreciated the high ceiling and the dark aesthetics, however, the artwork throughout wasn't to our taste, but that's subjective. The drinks list featured a good amount of variety and you also get to try some speciality cocktails. We were seated at a very nice table facing the window that would've granted us a phenomenal view of Manhattan but as mentioned, the weather was bad so we couldn't enjoy the view but we appreciated the table arrangement. It's a small menu but you can tell every dish was carefully curated, it's a 3-course prix fixe menu at $165 pp or you can also opt for a chef's tasting menu at $250 pp or $375 pp with wine pairing. For the quality, taste, and presentation of each course, as well as the view you get while having a meal, I think the price does offer good value. The overall service was great, every staff was dressed nicely and presented themselves professionally. The only thing I would have appreciated more would be to have noise level management in place, as it can affect the atmosphere, ambience, and overall experience of other guests. We will return to Centurion New York next time I'm in town, and hopefully next time we get to enjoy the wow factor that we missed out on.

Wonderful Views & Good Food

Centurion New York is a lounge/restaurant located on the 55th floor of the One Vanderbilt building in New York City. Although Centurion card-holders have certain perks at Centurion New York, the space is actually open to the general public with reservations. The views are absolutely spectacular as you have a direct view of the Chrysler building on the bar side of the space and views of Bryant Park, the Empire State Building and the lights from Times Square if eating at the restaurants. We had dinner at the Studio, which is the more informal restaurant that arguably has better views. The alternative restaurant is the Gallery that is a more formal dining experience. The food was generally pretty good although not necessarily spectacular or a good value. We would consider returning for at least drinks in the future.
