Really great Georgian cuisine We love cheese with beef in boat So delicious and taste really that we needed Also we tried the Georgian beer and mineral drink

My wife and stepson are Georgian. I worked in the Republic of Georgia, aka Sakartvelo for 3 years. We had a wonderfully delicious dinner at Cheeseboat. The Adjaruli khachpuri was as good as the best one can find in Georgia. Our vegan daughter-in-law loved the badrejani. Everything was so scrumptious. They have Georgian wines. And the barkeep has designed some traditional cocktails with a Georgian flair. My only disappointment was no Georgian beers. I was really looking forward to an Argo or Kasbegi. Alas that was not meant to be. But the authentic food, friendly servers and cooks and funky atmosphere more than made up for that small disappointment.

This was one of my favorite meals ever. And I didn’t even order a cheeseboat! We went in for lunch with no experience of Georgian food and left wanting to get Georgian cookbooks. The eggplant roulette was one of the best bites I’ve ever tasted, the soup dumplings were gorgeous and the lobio beans and pickles were absolutely delicious. We also tried quince and black currant kompots and now I need to learn how to make a kompot because I want to drink one every day. The service was above and beyond and the prices were reasonable for New York. I’ll be back next time I visit.

Without some input from others I may not have ventured in. Next time I will not hesitate. What a place. Friendly staff, great menu, very clean with a kitchen right in front, and the dumplings and bread could be the best on the planet. It was an honor to be in this place! Wow!

This restaurant has been open in my neighborhood for almost a year, but this was the first time I went to it. And oh my gosh, it was so, so good! Unusual menu, unexpected spices, friendly service, the delicious smell of fresh baked bread -- everything you want in any restaurant and is especially nice in a local one. I also enjoyed (although didn't try) the cocktails named Putin's Tears and Mr. Zelensky. This restaurant is billed as serving Georgian (as in the eastern European country!) fusion food and the kitchen staff are all from Georgia. We enjoyed the Lobio, (pinto beans, pickled vegetables and unique spices), Kartvelian salad (with a walnut/cilantro pesto), Georgian beef kebab and the Honeycomb Brie cheese boat which was almost a dessert dish.

What an amazing dinner! We came in knowing two things we wanted from an earlier tasting tour years ago, and asked for recommendations of what to add to it. The recommendation was spot on. Every bite was delicious! And they are so welcoming too. We will make an effort to have a meal here every time we visit NYC. It’s a fantastic find.

We had such a good time eating here. The proprietor went through the menu with us, described everything and helped our party of five pick out some terrific choices. We started out with the Kartvelian Salad (tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, seasoned to perfection), then moved on to the Lobio (a delicious stew of kidney beans, herbs and spices) then Khinkali dumplings, the vegetarian option with cheese and spinach, a sight to behold, then finally 2 cheeseboats, the gouda and the traditional. Yes, it really is a bread boat full of melted cheese, and it's delicious. All accompanied by Georgian wine and beer. All highly recommended. Such great friendly service and atmosphere. Hope to be back soon.

Do not walk past this charming restaurant! Get the cheeseboat, it’s basically fondue in bread. Such gooey, tasty goodness! ($21). Pair it with the tomato salad and a couple glasses of Georgian wine and you will be a happy camper! We wanted to try the dumplings but were too full. The staff were so friendly and professional. A must go!

Two couples with reservations before a show and we stopped for lunch. We were in and out in plenty of time and didn’t feel at all rushed. In fact, we were made to feel right at home. Service was superb. Suggestions were offered and choices affirmed. We had small plates and cheese boats at our table. Everything exceeded expectation, was so delicious, and we ate every last bite. Definitely stop here. You will be so glad you did!

Great food. Service is slipping. I am a regular here. Guys - hire some friendly, customer-focused folks. Keep up the great food.

Delicious Georgian food and wine. Cheeseboat offers a great opportunity to try many classic dishes from Georgia, sometimes with a bit of a modern twist. They also offer a great selection of wine from the region such as of Saperavi, Mukuzani, Rkatsitelli, Kisi and more including qvevri versions and of course you must have a shot of chacha! My wife and I spent several months in this beautiful country and eating here was like going right back. Our group had the Cheeseboat (Adjarian Khachapuri) – get the original (don’t be adding all those toppings like an American), Khinkali dumplings, Ajapsandali and the Pkhali Sampler and it was all delicious. The service was excellent and the food came quickly. Highly recommended!

We decided to try a cuisine we never tried before, so after doing some research we settled on Georgian style cuisine. Cheeseboat offers a nice variety on their menu. We had the grilled eggplant appetizer (served cold), the mushroom cheeseboat (served with an herb style green sauce) and the lamb chakapuli (stew) and everything was so flavorful. The cheeseboat bread was delicious and very filling. We enjoyed the unique spices the food is cooked with, nothing like we ever tasted. The service was excellent from our server Giorgi. He was very friendly and accommodating. We have to go back again because there was so much more we wanted to try. The ambiance is very chill and relaxing with good music playing.

We got delivery, and it was very good. A cornish hen dish, some salads, other vegetarian dishes that had stuff like beans, walnut sauce, pomegranates, cilantro, and so on. We also got pickles, and Georgian bread, poth of which were very good. I would recommend this place. I've actually been to Georgia 4 times.

I tried to eat slowly, but I couldn't. It was so good! My husband and I shared the Kartvelian Salad (Fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, green onion, and red onions with fresh cilantro, herbs, ground walnuts, homemade sunflower seed oil & Georgian spices) and a steak and mushroom cheeseboat. You can see by the pictures that I didn't even let my husband take pictures before I started to eat. There was plenty of food -- we left feeling good and not too stuffed. I COULD have eaten the cheeseboat by myself, but I would not have been happy afterward. The server was friendly and attentive. We came on a Wednesday around 8. It was raining, so the place wasn't crowded, just a good mix of people enjoying good food. The atmosphere was nice, with a cool mural that our waiter said represented a famous Georgian poem. My only regret -- we're in NYC for only a week, and I found this gem on day 4. BOOOOOO. I want to go back and try everything.

Ran across Cheeseboat on 9th Ave in Hell's Kitchen with some friends and decided to give it a try. So glad we did! The menu was different, with many types of traditional Georgian cuisine available. We started with some Georgian steamed meat dumplings which were very tasty. My friend had a traditional kidney bean dish with herbs/spices and found it delicious. The most famous Georgian dish at this restaurant is the Cheeseboat itself. You can order it many different ways (with meat, vegetables, different types of cheese etc). I had the traditional cheeseboat which was huge - basically a bread bowl filled with cheeses, egg, and butter. So tasty but not for the cholesterol-averse! My friend had a cheeseboat with brie cheese, honey, and ground almonds. It was also delicious! Note that nobody at the table could finish their cheeseboat by themselves - you can definitely share one between two people. I would highly recommend this place as some unique cuisine that is very tasty and not expensive. Our server was also very attentive and extremely nice. Just be aware that Georgian food is fairly heavy, so if you only eat light cuisines this may not be for you. But if you have an adventurous spirit for new cuisines, you'll find this absolutely great!

We had a blast trying the red wine sampler (believe they were all Georgian wines and they were wonderful). We also tried two cheeseboats and both were delicious. Can’t wait to come back here and try all f the varieties. The food was reasonably priced as well

We went 4 people ordered three courses cheesboat cheese and another two soda a beer $110 at new York prices is in the range of what you pay Excellent Food Very Nice Mood in Hells Kitchen Area The food is abundant to share we were attended by a waiter of Colombian origin very well

So much fun, delicious and the staff were so friendly. If you love cheese, this is the place to try! The original cheeseboat was delicious, but the Brie and honey is also a treat, the mushroom was amazing, everything was lovely. Also the cocktails were unique and delicious!

Visited here for dinner with friends just looking for something different and more casual and relaxed. This was perfect. Relaxing atmosphere with very welcoming and attentive employees. We ate more “family style” in order to try several different dishes. The portions are more that adequate. Everything we ordered was delicious. Presentation is simple and we enjoyed everything. All the cheeseboats were good but the “Bubba” was excellent. The cocktails are great too! Would definitely return when we are in the area!

The place was like a dream. The food was so good it tasted so good and even one time when we tried the food my brother said we’re going back.
