Try the snow crab legs!

By TheFarid |

We were just strolling around in the area and thought that the place looked interesting. However, they close between 3 and 5 PM on Saturdays so we had to come back an hour later. Which we did, and at that time there was a small crowd outside. The waiters seated the whole line quickly and we didn't have to wait long to be served. We had snow crab legs with cajun seasoning. Perfectly salted, seasoned and cooked! I truly recommend a visit here!

Good service, food average

By travellingGirl111 |

If you are looking for baltimore crab experience this is not it. having said that, it has a happy hour with decent selection. you can get shrimp, crab legs , crawfish and lobster by the pound. They have specials of combos. Different steamed flavors. I got Clawdaddy's special mix, which was spiced , with butter and lots and lots of garlic. NO BLUE CRABS!!! What a disappointment. Crawfish tasted frozen. Lobster was excellent, meaty and perfectly cooked. Would recommend but don't expect baltimore crabs!!!

Absolutely delicious Seafood, 14/10

By Gluten_Dairy_free_73 |

If I could give them 14 out of 5 I would...in a heartbeat. Claw Daddy's is a super laid back, New Orleans inspires eaterie but don't let that fool you. When it comes to food, they're super serious!! Being GF and DF, seafood is kind of nirvana for me, and seeing that they offer king crab here, meant I just HAD to visit. Ordered the king crab, which comes with what I think is a US variation of Desiré red potatoes, and sweetcorn. I added Andalouie sausage for a kick. The crab was huge, fresh, and absolutely out of this world tasty. Sausage had a predictable but welcome kick of spice in a fitting nod to their roots. Even as I'm typing this, I'm weighing up whether I could go for another portion of crab 🤣 If you're in NYC and you like Seafood. Get your hungry arse here and TREAT YO'SELF!!!

As sea-faring food with a Southern twist goes

By rnarisetti |

This east of 1st Avenue restaurant has great character, a fun and extensive menu of crabs, oysters and other dishes with a definite Southern twist, cocktails in adult Capri Sun style bags, plastic bibs and plenty to eat and talk. A find.

What is happening here?

By ldtblitz |

I asked that question because the place is sort of unique. Drinks are served in bags with straws! The food can be delivered in buckets, and while it is not really funky, it is like a place that I’ve never experienced before. Food was simply outstanding. Flavorful and fresh, it was cooked perfectly and makes you want even more. I went with a friend who had crab legs and shrimp in a bucket which he devoured like he hadn’t eaten in days. I had some appetizers (as my meal) which included grilled oysters and a seafood chili that was amazing. The mac & cheese I had looks like it was “industrial,” but it actually was so tasty I couldn’t stop eating it. The drinks are really amazing and if I understood the bartender right, they only serve one kind of liquor which is a Vietnamese “vodka” called soju...get it! Garvin was the bartender and was absolutely outstanding! Get here!

Live Jazz and Great Eats!

By Kay el Cee |

Although I don't eat seafood my boyfriend loves it so I took him here for his birthday. The atmosphere is awesome. The Adult Capri Suns were great. I had wings and mash, the wings were pretty good. My boyfriend had king crab legs and shrimp with the garlic noodles. I honestly ate most of his noodles! They were excellent. There happened to be a live jazz band and we LOVED it! Juliana was our waitress and she was super friendly and ensured we had a great first experience.

Paradise for seafood lovers

By Wee_g65 |

On weekends, this place is very crowded. Make a reservation if possible. Very friendly staffs. They also recommend on menu and spices.

Amazing seafood

By Jay |

Went for the lobster special. Very value for money. You get a good sized lobsters, crab legs and loads of clams and prawns. If you go before 7 enjoy the super value for money happy hour with 1$ oysters and 1.50 grilled oysters. Lobster takes a while to prepare but overall the food quality is so good that it’s definitely worth the wait.

Great place for a casual meal

By Fleur L |

Our visit to this restaurant started with some of their daily specials, which consisted of grilled oysters and clams with garlic butter and cheese. They were absolutely delicious, and for a dollar a piece, not bad money. Claw Daddy's serves a large variety of shellfish including Snow Crab, King Crab, Dungeness crab, shrimp and craw fish. You can customise your meal, choose the fish, potatoes and corn, the sauce and the spice level. The service was excellent, attentive and fairly fast, the food was very good, although I would definitely recommend the prawns over the craw fish. We were not fans of the flavour, and there is little meat in them. The prawns by contrast were juicy and delicious. We tried both the snow crab and the king crab, Snow crab all the way. The adult Capri sun cocktails are very tasty with a good variety, I would not leave without trying one. Overall, this is a good restaurant for a semi-casual night out where you are not afraid to get your hands very dirty, have a drink and eat some good shellfish. A word of caution, if you have not booked, you need to arrive and queue before the restaurant opens and try your luck. We arrived at opening time, but they seat the people who have booked first. They seemed to have a good selection of oysters at a very reasonable price, but by the time we were seated, which was less than 10 minutes later, they were sold out! I cannot comment on dessert as we did not have any. A pleasant night out, not too cheap but not expensive for what we got, good service and we left with full bellies and a smile.

Fun Seafood Place

By David P |

Stopped in for dinner at Claw Daddy's before seeing a band at the Rockwood Music Hall next door. The big attraction is the big seafood dinners for groups. Since I was by myself, I chose a Lobster Roll sandwich which was very tasty. It comes with fries or a salad. I opted for the salad which was good except it was oversaturated with too much salad dressing. My soda came in an Adult Caprsun container which was pretty cool. I would stop in again next time I head to a show at the Rockwood.

Always A Pleasure

I Always Have A Wonderful Time Here. Went With Friends Just For Girls Night Out And As Usual. We Have A Wonderful Time. Food Was Spicy And Just Perfect. I Love The Adult Caprison....

Terrible quality of seafood... not worth the money...

By YaLing |

I have to say the seafood served in this restaurant was disappointing. Not only I but also other girls had the same viewpoints. I am a big fan of seafood. I know the top quality of seafood very well. However, the seafood offered in Claw Daddy can't even reach the intermediate level.........Seafood of high quality doesn't need a lot of sauce because when it is fresh it has its sweetness and special flavor... And what's funny was clams and crawfish in Claw Daddy's didn't taste good until I dipped them with a lot of sauce. The clams were overcooked. The waitress was very nice so we still gave 20% tip but the food wasn't nice!!! And the other thing you need to pay attention to if you want to still come here to taste awful food is they charge no-shows. If you make a reservation for 20 people and if one person doesn't show up, they will charge $20 for the no-show... Anyway, we spent over $45 per person, including the tip and tax, and a lot of us ordered drinks which were not included in the $45. I really don't think the quality of the food was worth the money we spent...

It was not what i was expecting!

By maria e |

I was so excited to see what the hype was about and was a bit disappointed. I went on a Tuesday and the service was horrible. It was not busy at all so i'm not sure what went wrong. Waiter was not attentive.I also felt very ruhed as they were trying to close. The food was ok but i was expecting way more flavor. One great thing i can say is that the drinks were amazing. I love that whole capris style concept. I'm not sure i would return.

Shame On You

By Journey498853 |

My son absolutely loves crayfish and I found that claw daddy's had crawfish. We traveled from wall st to orchard when we got there we walked in and the lady told us that the stopped serving brunch at 2:45 when it was 2:55 and would be closing until 5:00 my first thought was who closes for 2 hours in the middle of the day! Then I saw the sign outside said 11:00 to 3:00 and the lady said " oh that must have been a mistake". We lived in Mississippi for 5 years and we ate a lot of crawfish and my son hadn't had crawfish in 3 years and he was living for 4 weeks of sleep away camp. In 2 days.

Best Cajun seafood!

By Mimi |

It was my husbands birthday and he enjoys eating seafood, we are both chefs and we love well cooked food. This was the best! The spice was on point, the shrimps and lobster too... a lot of food and nice beer and drinks. You get to choose a bowl of your favs, we choose: lobster and shrimp with mild Cajun Parmesan and butter and the other with spicy Cajun claw daddy's sauce both came with potato and corn on the cob. 2 beers made by claw daddy's and 1 cocktail It was like 60 each for only the bowls but it was soooooo worth it, it was one of the best if not the best we've tried in town and we've tasted a lot of lobster in NYC. It's a bit crowded, if you don't like to wait make a reservation before hand. We definitely recomend.

Great Seafood and Drinks

By nette_smiles |

I visited this place with my sisters and we had a blast. The food was great as well as the drinks. It can be crowded, though we had a reservation we still had to wait but i would say it was worth the wait.

Expensive Lunch

By mcmalvarez |

My daughter wanted to have lunch here and was quite excited to make reservations. We grabbed a 2:30 time on a Sunday afternoon. The day was warm and many people were out and about. The drive was quick and there was plenty of street parking. There was a deejay and the music was old school which my husband and I appreciated. The menu was limited for those who may not want seafood. The waitress was kind enough to tell me not to order the ceviche because it was not top notch.. having ate this in Latin American countries and home made, it's tough to compete. The rest of the party decided on the seafood boil fest. It was a party of five and the bill was well over $300 which was pricey. Glad we experienced it. Probably would not go again.

BOOOO!

By Harlan R |

Opened late without a reason, although we made a reservation online. The food was okay, but there are so many better options in the area (live and learn). There were 3 people in the restaurant (including us). I guess this should have been a clue.

Claw Fest

By Paul J |

I have to admit, I never thought one of the best Crawfish boils I ever ate would be on the lower East side. My family of five were deliciously stuffed with a boil that had crawfish, shrimp, snow crab, clams, corn and potatoes in a killer sauce. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. The adult Capri Suns are a fun addition. Prices are great for what they're giving you. Friendly service and vibe. Cash or cards accepted.

Very disappointed in the service I received here

By Wmnrfromvnus |

I consider myself a pretty fair person when giving out the ratings for places I have been. I was super excited when my love said we were going to Claw Daddy's after I introduced him to the video on Facebook. He made our reservations for 5:30 and we arrived a few minutes early and waited for the other guest to pay their tab so that we could be seated. So far so good😊, they left and we were shown to our table where we waited for several minutes before water was brought to the table, and yet several more minutes before someone realized that we were not waited on. This guy stated that our waiter was super busy and apologized and said he'd take our order. We ordered the crab and avocado salad, 2-lbs of snow crab legs, 1-lb of shrimps which came with potatoes and corn and 2 adult Capri suns the "Mardi Gras" and the "Blush" they were okay. The salad came and it was alright, tasted more like an avocado and cranberries salad because they were skimping on the crab meat. After the salad and drinks nothing, by this time two more couples sat down after us, ordered and were already eating, it is 6:49pm. Over an hour and no seafood, not only was I pissed my feelings were hurt having flown in from Dallas, Texas to try this food 😢. Finally stopped our waiter and he asked if there was a problem and once I told him we were still waiting on our food he looked in the system and told us there wasn't a food order in the system and wanted us to give him our order again. No sir, you find the guy that took our order and you guys figure that mess out, obviously he put something in the system since we had a salad and drinks. As a way of apologizing he brought us shots of their "Soju" which we found out is a Korean vodka. That was pretty good, needless to say our food finally arrived and l, don't know why, after such a long wait I was expecting piping hot crab legs and shrimp but of course that is not what I received, it was not even warm but room temperature as though it sat out for the whole hour we were waiting for it. Ended up trying a different drink named "just a dream" and that was pretty good. For my first experience the service sucked and to top it all off we were given the wrong bill at the end of the meal, the food as much as I love seafood did not make me want to come back for more. I could've done this at home for much less, made my own sauce and sides and gotten a better experience, this was not a good one for me especially traveling from a different state to try them out. I am quite sure this is not the norm for them, the staff was not rude in any way and the place was crowded so that is the only reason I gave them an average rating, I will be back and I will try to fit them in my schedule and reassess them and change my rating if need be. I do think it will be better next time I try them and hopefully I will get the experience I was originally hoping for.

Top 5

By Jeff D |

I recommend this restaurant to anybody in NYC or just visiting. Great seafood/cajun/creole spot with flavorful dishes and fun environment. Can be chill, or get noisy especially during Happy Hour (5-7:30) - $5 craft beers - $6 wines $7 cocktails/adult caprisuns (caprisun-type bags with strong cocktails. So fun) and $1 oysters and cajun wings (oysters are so good, but my favorite are the GRILLED oysters, only 50c extra - and the wings are fried so well, chicken isn't slimy and undercooked. They aren't frozen. I recommend happy hour for a good bang for the buck) You can eat at the bar, watch the games or wait for a table. That's enough to visit. But full dining is even better. My go-to is the Louisiana Boil. I specifically get the 2lb combination snow crab and shrimp (2lb comes with potato and corn in the bag) with their claw daddy special sauce and a side of garlic noodles. I'm set. But everything is really good. I can go on for days but it's best to experience for yourself. I've tried almost everything here and if you're into seafood/ cajun styles cuisine, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended. See you there.

Great happy hour

A must visit in lower Manhattan in East village. Great place to hang out. Grilled oysters and wings can't go wrong.

Sea food

By Andejani |

The restaurant is not fancy with its decoration. However, the food was generally good and delicious. The spicy one was too hot but nice. The shrimp size is OK. The price was not too expensive but acceptable. Service is good

Halloween Dinner

I made reservations for this restaurant weeks in advance for a Tuesday night . They called and texted and reminded like 10 times. I went there with my kids food was good but very pricey . Don’t order the lobster , real tip off .i asked the waitress if I can order the tail only , she said only whole lobsters . Service was good .

Claw into Cajun Sea Food

Wonderful experience at one of the most authentic- no frills - Cajun and Creole Sea Food restaurants. Just shed all inhibitions and claw into the sea food platter and unmissable Gumbo - one of the best I have had. Pocket friendly too.

steamed seafood in a bag

By lilliannegron |

i enjoyed the crab legs they come with corn, potatoes and an amazing garlic sauce. the drink in a pouch are amazing as well. the only setback is that the tables are soooo close to each other not alot of space to move around.

Messy but delicious

By COLJ traveler |

Talking about the talk of the town. Went there Saturday night and it was well packed. I will advise that you make reservations like we did and it was worth it. I had the shrimp, clams and crab legs with potatoes and corn on the side on the house. The food was very delicious, we selected the house blend sauce. It’s kind of messy, the do give you a large bib and gloves to throw down. Even though none of the food got on my clothes, don’t wear your fancy gear. The food is plentiful, I was full and took leftovers home. There is a lounge upstairs to wait or to just nurse your drink. I will definitely take my friends, out of town visitors there. It’s easy to get there by subway F train and I saw metered parking space as well. Will highly recommend.

Fun experience

By Reina B |

Went for dinner with friends. Pros: great ambiance, tasty food, and specialty drinks. Plus helpful and friendly bartender. Loved that they provide gloves to eat the crab legs Good happy hour price on the raw oysters Seafood were fresh and the different sauce options for the entree were amazing. Cons: Long waiting. We didn’t have reservation and was told our wait will be 35 to 40 minutes. There were many empty tables but they were reserved. We waited at the bar and ended eating at the bar. A little on the pricey scale.

Appy place

No disappointment!

By Adrienne V |

I was on my way to Katz's when I stepped into Claw Daddy's. I was not disappointed. The new twist on the garlic sauce was so good and so special. They could drown me in that sauce and I'd die with a smile on my face!Bring it to Harlem!

Claw Feast!!!! :)

By Nkane |

When my sister sent me a link to the website saying we need to try this spot, I was immediately excited when I saw the claw feast and seeing that it was only available Wednesdays and Sundays made it even better because I was available only on Sunday. When I first tried to make reservations, Yelp was all booked for Sunday. I called my sister telling her we couldn't get reservations for the brunch claw feast. She was determined to get us in for sunday. She went on yelp and someone must have cancelled because she was able to get us in by 12pm. The feast is $35 per person with a 4 person min. Sunday was Pride parade day. The traffic was a headache but we made it. We tried to park in a garage because trying to find parking in that area isn't easy. The garage would've cost us over $50 for the time needed to spend in the restaurant. We decided to find parking on the street and were lucky to have found someone pulling out just as we were pulling onto Ludlow street. The restaurant can be easily missed if you're going in the day and not paying attention. You can literally walk right past the place. We arrived a little after 12pm. It wasn't too crowded as of yet as we were immediately seated and given water. Upon entering I felt comfortable with the way things were set up. There's a small bar in the front with a few stools to sit. There is also a very limited wait area. I took notice to the newspaper wallpaper which is really cool. The tables were also covered with the same paper as the walls. There is an upstairs area for afternoon and evening dining. I really liked the bathroom and I think it was due to the lighting. We waited for some time before we were served. There seemed to have been only two people serving for some reason, but we weren't in any rush so that wasn't a problem. I think if you are there for the claw feast, they may serve everyone else who is not there for the feast first. We ordered our drinks. I love the signature claw daddy's capri sun bag drinks idea. Really cool! You are given a chance, at that point, to order anything else on the menu. We chose to have our feast cooked in garlic butter sauce. We were immediately given gloves, bibs, paper towels and everything else needed for the feast. Shortly after our food arrived...Yayyyyy!!!! :) Our server arrived with two bowls full of mixed seafood medley boil. Huge shrimps, crab legs, craw fish, clams, sausage, potatoes and corn with side of bread. Everything was really good. We chose the medium level of spice and it was enough borderline hot! If you like hot and spicy seasoning the medium will suffice. After we were served the place was filled to capacity and there were people waiting to be seated. We never felt pressured into finishing our food. We were never at any point rushed or told to hurry up. We had ample amount of time to eat. We were offered dessert after which we declined. We even sat afterwards for about ten minutes before paying the bill and leaving. Overall, my family and I really enjoyed this restaurant and would recommend it especially for seafood lovers. I just would like to extend a warm thanks to the staff of Claw Daddy's for a great seafood Louisiana boil experience! xoxo

Fun, messy dinner for two

By tjberman |

I was very pleasantly surprised by dinner at Claw Daddy’s. I found the atmosphere to be fun and vibrant. With a DJ playing upstairs, we enjoyed fun music as we devoured our meal. Before our food arrived the waiter asked us to move to a nearby table to accommodate a larger party. An easy move for us, we were surprised by the friendly offer by the staff to buy us a round of shots. Overall, the food was good and affordable. It was a fun change of pace in New York City.

Won't disappoint!

By Seb-Fo |

We really fancied seafood. This place was great! Amazing atmosphere. Busy but the staff were attentive. The music was so good everyone was dancing in their seats. I kinda wished it was a club too! Food was delicious.

Surprise

By JulieLapPlo |

We picked this restaurant bases on the reviews that I saw on internet. We had such a good time! Little suggestion, make a réservation. The food is really good and you need to like spicy food. The décor is fun and the staff is attentive. The clams and the shrimps are excellent !

A Louisiana Boil

By Andrew B |

We were all excited to go after seeing the review on "Insider New York" and knowing the city can be jammed with traffic we were extra early to ensure prompt seating. Especially since the establishment sends a courtesy text in reference to holding the table for a 15 minute window after your scheduled time. Upon arriving the host was very nice and ensured our party was present and proceeded to hand us our notification device. We kindly proceeded to the bar for a few drinks.... "Adult Capri Suns" one word AMAZING!! A must have... We noticed our time passing by at the bar and have already been waiting 45 minutes past our reserved time. We spoke to the host and explained our concern and she directed the manager to us. I can't remember his name but I do remember his character. The manager took it upon himself to serve us that evening and he was very apologetic and understanding of the issue. He explained to us every aspect of the menu and the ins and outs of it as well. He recommended many ways for us to order and also pointed out his favorite items as well. Overall experience and customer service was amazing. The manager and the host handled the situation with class, more class compared to some higher end establishments in the city. The food was great as we ventured off to new waters and tried craw fish for the first time. The manager even gave us a hands on lesson as to how to eat them( he put on gloves grabbed a crawfish and demonstrated to the table the process of opening and eating). We couldn't have been happier and I forgot to mention he even gave us some complimentary drinks!!

Fabulous food

By Suejhall18 |

Food was excellent - definitely worth the trip to Lower Manhattan. Recommend the Clam Chowder, Fried Green Tomato’s and Jambalaya.

Don't be fooled by the kiddie packaging

By KatWomanNYC |

We stopped in for lunch at the Brooklyn location for our anniversary and had wings, grilled oysters, deviled eggs, cajun fries, snow crab legs, shrimp, Brussels sprouts, grilled corn and cocktails. We thought the drinks were like juice but after having a second one, we definitely realized they were adult cocktails. They ran out of crawfish and I was really disappointed so we ended up going to The Boil for dinner to get crawfish. We would visit again for the cocktails, grilled oysters and cajun fries. The Claw Daddy sauce is a bit thicker and messier than The Boil although both are tasty.

Good food, good service

By Anthony P |

Stumbled upon this place walking to another restaurant and decided to stop in for some char grilled oysters, raw oysters, and chicken biscuits. All were really good. The adult capri suns also brought a unique flavor and excitement to the restaurant. I also liked the atmosphere a lot.

A for Effort

By whmurray |

In honor of my birthday and in fulfillment of a promise, my nephew took me to Claw Daddy's on the lower East Side for shrimp and oyster po-boys, Claw Daddy's stock in trade. While they do some neighborhood business, it appeals to New Orleans ex-pats desperate for a little taste of home. This is not a big market so Claw Daddy's is not much bigger than a hole in the wall. To understand po-boys and my affinity for them, you might want to read my review of Domilise's in New Orleans. However, to make a long story short, a po-boy is much about the bread. While New Orleanians take it for granted, their bread is unique in the world and quite special. It is similar to a baguette. The similarity of any sandwich to a po-boy is in part a function of how similar the bread is to New Orleans bread. Claw Daddy's does the best one might expect with the bread available to it in New York City. Other than the bread, the po-boys are authentic. In any case, they are good sandwiches. We each had a shrimp po-boy and split an oyster po-boy. My nephew took an oyster to go for his girl friend. I ordered a shrimp and oyster gumbo to go but was disappointed. It seems that they make the gumbo on Monday, and, it being already Wednesday, it was sold out. They feature ice-tea and Cafe du Monde coffee. Now Claw Daddy's is not in a high rent location. Space is limited and business was brisk but we got the table and did not have to share. We had a great time and plan to return.

Good Eats, & Good Server

By CoolxBreeze |

The claw daddy special sauce was AMAZING. we usually choose the spicy option-it was much spicier than we expected. our mouths were literally on fire and it was worth it. we've frequented restaurants like this before- THE BOIL- we feel we got a larger portion at the boil but the menu at Claw daddy has more options-which we loved. we had the grilled oysters, wings and drinks at the happy hour price(between 5pm-7:30) then the crawfish and crab legs combo and a side of cajun fries. EVERYTHING was tasty. you have to try the adult capri suns! Tiago was an excellent server, i recommend asking for him

Lobster roll and spicy fries

By Khrystyna |

We have visited both the Manhattan and the Brooklyn locations and both served an excellent lobster roll. It was flavoursome, with a hint of truffle in the lobster roll and served in a brioche. The fries were well spiced. I recommend a peach salad and a Purple Haze beer to go with it.

Messy and delicious!

By m00kii |

If you care about being tidy and neat while you eat--this ain't the place. The seafood is delicious and succulent! Just be ready to get down, dirty and dig in! The drinks are the bomb too!

Great Food

By TShields645 |

Went with a group of 4 and although our service was not so great, the food surely made up for it. We went on a sunday and did the claw feast with extra sausage and snow crab. It was out of this world. We got it with the garlic butter medium sauce. Beware the spice levels. If you like spicy, get medium, if you like just a tad, get mild. The adult drink pouches are a wonderful idea and tasted great. I highly recommend this place if you have time, and don't forget to make your reservations in advance.

Best bang for your buck

OMG the louisiana style food is wonderful. The taste and quality is superb. Adult Capri Suns are lots of fun and there is a good selection of beer. The owners and the staff go out of thier way to make you comfortble

Clawsome!!!

Read about this place in UK so we per-booked before our week in New York. Great staff and very helpful. Lucky to be there during midweek happy hour so had a couple extra draft beers. Very nice. The food is great. Messy and fun. Loved the prawns and the yummy snos crab legs. Spicy sauces add to the experience. The children loved the laid back vibe too. Nice job guys!!! Highly recommended.

LOVE!!!

By mikitruax |

This place was awesome! Made us feel like we were somewhere in the Deep South on a hot summer day by the Mississippi River or something like that. We went for the feast which we had thought was AYCE but turned out to be not. Still it was enough food for 4 people. They have interesting teas as well. A must go!

Not the best crab I have ever had

By IrishRover36 |

Overall the whole dining experience here was just meh. The wife and I had the snow crab with the clawdaddy sauce and I could not get over how much garlic was in the sauce....like big 1/4 and 1/2 clove chunks and kind of killed our palettes. The crab was decent but was nowhere near enough to fill us ( we went around the corner after for some $1 slices of pizza). We also had the adult capri suns which is a quirky idea but mine wasn't great. All in all it was a lot of money for an average meal.

This is a MUST when visiting NYC!!

By leilasteinberg80 |

I went here for my 25th birthday and the wait was a little extensive, but worth it. If you ever wanted to go to Joe's Crab Shack and thought it was too far, Welcome to NYC own version of JCS. The atmosphere takes you back to eating on the Pier in the summer enjoy some delicious seafood but only indoors. They have adult version of Capri Sun with a Japanese liquor that sneaks up on you. Great time with your SO or a group of friends.

Great seafood, fun atmosphere

By Maurice Tangredi |

Our party of four had dinner at Claw Daddy's recently. Fortunately we booked as being a Saturday night the restaurant was packed. Claw Daddy's is a fun place to enjoy great seafood. The concept is really simple, you pick the seafood you want (by the pound), the sauce, spiciness, sides and extras. The meal is delivered in a large plastic bag containing the seafood and the sauce. Once emptied into the plate away you go ! You are given plastic gloves and bib which you do need. The waiters were very friendly and helpful, the seafood excellent, the atmosphere great. Really enjoyed our Claw Daddy's experience.

Fantastic seafood!

By nat54678 |

Wow! We had a fantastic evening at Claw Daddy! We had adult Capri suns and shared a crawfish and crab leg broil which was incredible - one of the best meals I have ever had and I would recommend to anyone visiting the city!

Excellent

By MonicaDee |

Visited with a few friends. I've been to the Boiling Crab in LA so was hoping for a similar experience. Wow this place doesn't disappoint. We had a combo shrimp and crab with the claw daddy sauce, medium heat. Oh my days it was good. Full of flavour just be mindful of the pepper. We chose the 3 heat rating and it was still a little hot but I would still order like that again because the flavour was just too good. Lovely atmosphere. Wicked cocktails served in a pouch which I think is a brilliant concept.

Good seafood in the bag

By Candy R |

I got the snow crab legs in the bag. I ordered it with the claw daddy sauce- which is good but I still love the taste of The Boil sauce! I'm not a fan of any of their mix alcoholic drinks ! Great place for big groups. They have plenty of space. They take reservation and credit cards unlike The Boil.

Claw Feast!

Came here for the Claw Feast ($35 per person). It is not all you can eat, but you will wish it was. If you have seen the Claw Feast poster, it is even more picturesque in person. It was great to eat and experience, while the Feast is the best bang for buck, at $35 plus drinks, taxes, and tips, it can add up. Good: -Claw Feast portion is big enough to feed four people -4 person minimum needed for Claw Feast RSVP -The portions and contents were plentiful, no tiny seafood here -The shrimp were large and juicy -The snow crab legs were -The clams were a great size too -The corn cobs were juicy -The sausage were plentiful too, and had a nice kick of spice -Spiked Lemonade -I liked the whole vibe/concept that invites for camaraderie as you literally eat a pile food together -Try the Claw Daddy Special sauce (it is a mix of all the sauces together) -Medium spice level is great if you want a little kick but not an alarm fire in your mouth Bad: -Claw Feast comes with one order of bread, another order is $2 more -I felt the Claw Feast pot had just a few too many crawfish, maybe it's me but I rather have less of that and more of everything else -2 hour limit to sit at your table, is strange but the demand must be high for seating -Reservations are hard to come by, be prepared to wait awhile (weeks) for availability

Seafood is best

By Andy Loug |

A perfect combination of price and quality! Take crab legs with special Clawdaddy sauce and don't forget abot daily happy hours for alcohol! You will remember this gastro tour forever, cause it will be an event! The place is always crowded at evenings, so you gotta book the table beforehand or wait in line. A good option to have your meal at the bar stand

Fun atmosphere; tame food

By JDOMJW |

Go here for a fun environment and cheerful service. Don't go here expecting to be transported to Clancy's. The portions are more than ample. The seasoning trends towards hot rather than flavorful.

Seafood minded!

By Pelagia M |

We went there on a Sunday around 2pm. Surprisingly it wasn't that busy even though there were reservations. They were able to sit us as soon as we got there but the wait for the food was quite a bit considering we gotta leave at a certain time cause our table was reserved for someone else. The menu was great, can even choose your own sauce and can totally customize it. Was more on the pricey side but totally worth the money and the experience!

Way too Expensive

By Nancy |

A party of 3 and got a bill for $263 not including tip. Seafood bland with no seasoning and the crab legs were old and seemed frozen a few times and didn’t even crack open. Friend had lobster and tasted like freezer burn. Way to bland and expensive for the price. Won’t ever return. So disappointed!

Amazing service

By sweetb4ubg |

We got seated and had oysters as appetizers shortly after that main course crab legs was Delicious ,and the service was very very fast and good , will be back there. I highly recommend this place if you like Cajun.

Fun menu - amazing flavours

By Yvonnesuffolk |

We booked a table before seeing Claw Daddy's and was slightly worried at its generic exterior when we arrived, particularly in comparison with the surrounding appealing looking restaurants. We were delighted when we sat down and ordered however. The menu was easy and fun. The food was fantastic! About a third of the options were unavailable but we were blown away by the shrimps we ordered. We returned for dinner the next day! The lighting is very low which made it hard for me to read the menu, but all part of ambiance I'm sure! Highly recommended!!

Great Happy Hour Specials

By Jeffrey S |

Stopped in for a quick drink and some oysters. This was my first trip and we went during happy hour. Truly amazing prices. $5 for (good) draft beer and $1 for an oyster. Bartender and service were friendly. Good atmosphere. I'll be back for sure

Good experience

By Cheries K |

My husband and I went for a spontaneous date night. It was the first time we had crawfish. The servers were all very friendly and gave us their tips on how to eat the crawfish. The atmosphere was upbeat and there was a happy and fun vibe to the place. We ordered the crawfish and shrimp boil with mild lemon pepper sauce which was pretty good. We were happy with the crawfish but the shrimp was just ok. We enjoyed the raw oysters. Blue points, Kumamotos and shigokus were all tasty. Not a first date place bc it gets so messy but def a nice place for a fun dinner with a loved one, close friends, and/or family.

Seafood with a Zing!

By stevedolphin |

Craved seafood with a zing. Nice spot with a good Happy Hour. Blue Point Oysters on the half $1 a piece amongst inexpensive drafts. The service was excellent all involved at our table made sure we were comfortable . The seafood boil is the ticket . By the pound shrimp and shellfish you pick in the best heat . Medium spice and the claw daddy’s boil work well. Enjoyed the atmosphere and o those top necks on the half shell were outstanding tender

YUMMMMM!

By Angely P |

Went here on a Wednesday night at around 5pm. Service was super fast and we were able to enjoy the happy hour prices. We had wings, raw oysters, and grilled oysters as our appetizers. They were amazing!!!! For our entrees we did 1 lb of shrimps and 1lb of crab legs along with potatoes, corn, and a side of Mac and cheese. We had so many leftovers it was insane but everything was super fresh and delicious! I will absolutely come back again : )

Fabulous

Sooo good!?

You will not be disappointed. From the crab legs to the chicken wings. Finger licking good. Don’t forget to get a drink. Worth every penny!!!

Tasty and Messy!

By Paul T |

Went on a busy Friday night without a booking. Got a table in 45 min but they have a nice (if noisy) area for a drink and snacks whilst you wait. Seafood was great but it's all hands so be prepared for mess! Very different to anything in the UK!

Banging food great vibe.

By CatR03 |

Banging food great vibe. This meal was the highlight of my trip to NYC. Seafood was beautifully cooked, we opted to the blend of all sauces and medium spice. Was just the right level of spice. Lobster, clams, prawns and crab were so sweet. The music created a real party atmosphere. The lady Briana who looked after our table couldn’t have been more helpful. Worth a visit!

Friendliest restaurant in NYC

By Michele C |

OMG I can't wait to go back. The food, the drinks, but most of all the staff were outstanding. I went from having a sad and stressful weekend caring for an aging relative, to having a fabulous night at Claw Daddies. Holly is an outstanding bartender with her skills and compassion. You will not be dissapointed.

Great Food

By lanesha_johnson |

I LOVE CLAW DADDY! From the fresh raw clams to the spicy seasoning the food has always been great! My favorite combination is the crab legs shrimp and the crawfish with the potatoes. Its a little pricey but well worth it!!

Even better than last time.

By MonicaDee |

Went with family after a long day in New York. Unfortunately we missed our original reservation due to traffic and a dodgy uber driver and called to let the restaurant know we would be late. However we were still later than planned but the host was so lovely and accomodating and after a short wait, our party of seven were seated. I'm not a great lover of oysters but my niece insisted I try the grilled ones. OMD they were good. We came just at the end of happy hour so we were able to order wings as well. Shoot if I had known the wings and oysters were going to taste that good I would have ordered more than 2 wings and 1 oyster. My daughter and I then ordered 1lb of shrimp each her mild me spicey as well as a crab legs to share. At first I couldn't taste much heat so I asked for the inferno sauce. What I realised later was I needed to shake the bag a little to get the sauce from the bottom. However the inferno sauce came. Warning this sauce is not easy. Coming from a west indian background I was a little cocky thinking "I can handle this bad boy". Woooow😨!! It was super hot but addictively delicious. Staff are very nice and our waitress was very attentive. Can't wait to go back. Love this place Also best cocktails ever!

Great food

By Barry T |

We had a very enjoyable evening at Claw Daddy’s. Food was delicious and service was great. Was fun to eat dinner in a bib! The shrimps were awesome, as were the grilled oysters, lobster roll and jambalaya. Medium spice level was just right for us. Recommend it!!

Dollar Oysters

By MI6Reviewer |

This place is my favourite place to eat in NYC. The food is amazing, the happy hour special is the best and the drinks are excellent. If you like seafood, this is the place to be. The service is not the greatest but the food is so good you just dont care

Mediocre

By Tricia L |

I heard so much about this place from different people that I couldn’t wait to try it myself. I was so disappointed. First we had reservations and got there on time but one of our friends last minute wanted to join us later and they wouldn’t seat us till they arrived. I realized why after cuz the restaurant is small and cramped. Each table is so close to the other I almost knocked down someone’s drink trying to get to my seat. The waiter took forever to take out orders. We ordered appetizers and were so upset they came they same time as our entrees. They say the sauce is spicy so I ordered mild as I don’t like spice and it was still spicy and salty. The garlic noodles was very salty. The clams were good and the seafood nachos was great. The drinks taste like medicine. They close at 11 on a Friday night which was a bit early for us. I was not impressed. Doubt I’ll b back.

Grilled oysters are soooooo good!

By Keisha W |

So we ended up at this spot but thought we wouldn't get a table because it was packed and had a two hr wait. But they served half of their menu in an upstairs lounge area and their was room for our party of 5. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, and a really good time with family and friends. There was a DJ playing some good music. The grilled oysters were absolutely magnificent. The chicken wings were decent, but the crab roll sooo good. The adult Capri sun pouches were definitely a favorite of mine. I wish I could drink out of them everyday. Next time I'll have to try the lobster roll and the crabs.

Good food and great ambiance!

By Dd-Adriana |

Ambiance was awesome, music was very good. We made a reservation but the table was not ready when we got there so they offered us a first round of drinks which was really nice. Food was good, we got 2 pounds of shrimp, 2 pounds of clams and 1 pound of crab for 5 people which was ok but we were not super full. When you think of it, a pound of clam is not a lot when you remove the shells! So we should have ordered a bit more or some sides. The sauces we got were: original Cajun, garlic butter and Claw Daddy's special. The best one was Claw Daddy's special! Oh and spice level was "medium" and it was still pretty spicy!! Overall really good experience.

Never disappoints

By MauiPlease |

Love this joint. Been here at least 10 times now. I would highly recommend, especially to anyone that enjoys seafood boils. They have a great special on Wed/Sundays, $30 for a wide variety of seafood. They have great cocktail drinks which they offer in an "adult caprisun" bag. The second or third time I came here, the manager offered my friends some of their grilled oysters complimentary (this was my first time trying it here) and now, I order them every time. Really great quality meal and it doesn't break the bank.

Great food and atmosphere

By Jeffrey W |

Simple easy menu with great choices of seafood. A little messy but well worth it. Thankfully gloves and bibs are provided. Food came quickly. Took a little longer for the drinks which is unusual since they were all ordered at the same time. Food was great

Brilliant place!!

By wayne_e |

Heard about it from a friend so decided to go there directly after visiting McSorleys pub (about 10 minutes walk away) didn't book but got a table straight away. Interesting atmosphere, a bit dark and edgy but the service was excellent throughout and the cocktails in a bag were fantastic!! My GF enjoyed fresh oysters while I had the chowder - both were excellent. Then we had lobster and snow crab in the 'house sauce' which were again really excellent. Good value too. would definitely recommend

Genuine flavors

In the last 7 days we've had crawfish in Chicago and new Orleans. The flavors here are genuine which is fantastic. Very happy with the servings and the happy hour specials.

Sensational! Best date night restaurant in the LES!

By Nazir J |

By far this is the best restaurant in the LES for late night fun whether with a large group to watch sports and grab drinks or for a date night to experience New Orleans flavored cuisine and ambiance. The house is always packed when you enter no matter what time because the food is so delicious. The Hostess/wait staff are by far the nicest and most personable and funny servers I've ever encountered in my life. I came here on a spontaneous date night and because the house was packed the hostess took down our number to call or text us when a table was made available she said this would take 10 mins. We went to a spa down the block during our wait and 30 to 45 mins passed and we returned wondering why we did not receive any calls or updates about our reservation. The hostess was very genuine and apologized and told us all our drinks for that night would be on the house, I found that to be really nice of her. We ordered mild King Crab legs with corn and potatoes and sausages. This was $30 each order and $3 for everything we threw in that was extra. I usually don't expect to get much food in the city when paying this amount. But believe me when I say the food was more than filling. I wish they had some kind of unlimited raw oyster deals, that would be awesome! Because we kept racking up a hefty bill purchasing so many raw oysters which are $2.50 each. Even dessert was delicious as well the lava cake and vanilla ice cream was spectacular. I love that our server was able to give us in great detail what expectations we should have of each item we asked for on the menu. Overall I had a wonderful night because of the great customer service and great food. On a side note: Wings, Oysters, and Drinks are highly affordable and delicious too The drinks we had came in large bags that looked like caprisun bags, very quirky.

Good Food

Ordered lb of snow crabs with the Claw Daddy sauce with rice and corn.It was good. I like this place because they take reservation and credit card. Service was ok.

Claw Daddys is outstanding!

By Dwun4fun |

Was in New York on vacation with several friends. We decided to check out Claw Daddy's after touring the World Trade Center and the 9/11 memorial. Very short wait to be seated. Ordered the Korean Sake, which was OK. Then ordered the Lobster cooked with potatoes, corn, and sausage and smothered in the Hot Combination House Special Sauce. The sauce is a delicious combination of Creole/Cajun and Asian spices. The dish was served with a claw cracker, a bible, and rubber gloves. Didn't really need them as none of the great dish missed my mouth. Price was also fairly reasonable. Restaurant staff were prompt, friendly and professional. I will definitely be back the next time I am in New York. Too bad they don't have a location in Atlanta.

Great fresh sea food, excellent service. Book in advance

By bbkayee |

We visited there on our first day in the city. Heard lots of great comment n thought give it a try. Didn't make a reservation on a Saturday night so was told it might take 1 hr 45 mins for the table. We stayed and wait anyways, they have a upstairs bar area where u can order snacks n cocktail. We took advantage of the happy hour and ordered some oysters n clams which was delicious. 1 hour later we were given a table. Food was really good. Menu was simple. U choose ur sea food, how u want it cook and spicy level. We didn't have any cocktail m, just ice tea. Including the snacks we had before table, we spent $135 in total for 2 of us! (Inc 20%tips) A bit pricey. But Still good!!

Hoppin Place

By marield1990 |

We came here on a Saturday around 5 and the place was super busy. We waited about 20 minutes for a table. The great thing was we got to wait upstairs and order drinks and appetizers. We got the oysters and they were delicious. For dinner we shared the snow crab leg bowl with their claw daddy special sauce. It was delicious. It had a kick of heat, but just enough to keep you coming back. The table, however, was not big enough so we had to put the garbage bucket on the floor. The place also has high ceilings and a DJ so it was very hard to hear. Overall a great place if you love seafood. Expect a wait and a loud atmosphere.

Tasty Creole

By rob n |

Noisy trendy place in Manhattan offering shrimp, clams, crawfish, fish, crab legs, et all. Most served in plastic bags with seasoning ranging from mild to Louisiana spicey.

Ladies nite out

By Carmen |

Coworkers and I went last Friday after work (Happy Hour) till 7pm Drinks are $8.00 Had the dream drink. Unbelievable delicious coconut pineapple lime and mint. Had the lobster and 2lbs of shrimps. Coworkers had the crab legs. I must say it was amazing. I asked for the mild seasoning since I dont like anything hot and just like it states you will taste a small kick..but delicious. The size of shrimps are huge and my lobster was medium and had a lot of meat. Overall a bit pricy but worth it. Lobster $48.00 Shrimps $17.00 per lb.

Crab boil

By Jusjoe7 |

Food was pretty good my favorite was the gumbo. Keep in mind that the food is served in a bag so it can be messy.

Adult Capri Sun

By tml8882 |

This place is great ! Happy Hour prices are everything & the Coconut Adult Capri Sun are delicious. Had the Oysters, Clams, Deviled Eggs & Sweet Potato Fries & was very satisfied with everything. Heard the wings were pretty good too ! Definitely will be back & the Dj was cool too :)

Great place for seafood and sides in LES!

By VoyagerJC |

Visited for Happy Hour oysters, a spicy bag of shrimp and crawfish, and sides of garlic noodle and sauteed spinach. The spinach came out slightly over salted, but staff were quick to replace. Definitely recommend the noodles, very moreish! Would have liked some clams but out of season unfortunately. So will have to go back another time. If you've been to Boil in a Bag they have a similar set-up, although I would rate Claw Daddy's higher for ambiance and quality. A small, but nice selection of craft beers.

Yummy!

By beautifulmount |

I've never been to new Orleans or a place where I could get a crab feast dumped on the table... Until I can get there I figured I'd try this out. It was very good and I was pleasantly surprised. We made a reservation, which I suggest everyone do. We went on a Sunday at 2pm and it wasn't very crowded but it got crowded fast. I'm sure it's packed on a Saturday. Parking is horrible, avoiding driving in!! We ordered the claw feast for 5, it was delicious! The crawfish was out of season but they put in extra shrimp. We had snowcrab legs, clams, shrimp, potatoes, corn, and sausage. We got the water boil and had the daddy's sauce on the side, because we had kids with us and didn't want it to be too spicy. While they did give us a lot of food, it wasn't enough crab legs. I would expect at least a cluster of crabs for each person, but they separate each crab leg to make it look like more. We tried the dream capri sun and boy was it good. Overall it was a good experience.

Birthday Dinner

By Tpetersengardine910 |

Although, I tried to open my mind to something new, I wasn't able to eat the shrimp with the head on it. Thankfully the staff exchanged out the food to accommodate me with crab legs. I have to say, the food was so exquisite. I look forward to going to enjoy the food again sometime soon.

Love it

We were a family of 8. Plenty of food. Good and full of flavor. Very good service. Can be loud in the restaurant so conversation can be hard to hear.

Christmas family vacation

Excellent food! Very tasty! We had a good time! We recommend awesome service, very friendly staff.!!

Messy, close quarters

By Lisa B |

Restaurant was loud and the tables are super close. They had a DJ on the second floor but you could barley hear it. We got the claw feast and it was exactly as pictured. And it tasted good. But boy oh boy was it messy. Do not wear your best outfit. We were all a mess. To get to the bathroom is a chore with the tables so close to each other. I wouldn't be running back any time soon. I would have been happier in an outdoor setting and more arm/table room. Sometimes food is not everything.

Still dreaming about that shrimp boil...

By Clara F |

After watching the bartender make two really big grown up Capri Suns, we were seated at our table with fruity cocktail pouches in hand. Minutes after ordering, our gloves, bibs, and bucket arrived, followed soon after by our waiter carrying two huge bags bursting with shrimp swimming in a Cajun sauce. I had a pound of shrimp, which were juicy and delicious, so flavorful and satisfying. My friend had two pounds of spicy snow crab legs and shrimp, which he generously had me taste and the crab legs were huge, meaty and delicious too. One pound was plenty for me, and as I made my way through the bag I kept finding hidden shrimp in the corners, which just highlights exactly how generous they are with their portions. I'm partial to a low level of spicy so I can taste more of the fish flavor, but if you're a fan of spicy seafood, there's a few levels you can choose from and they give you fair warning that spicy means SPICY here! We both left here stuffed and satisfied. Great atmosphere and really fair prices for a fantastic seafood boil. Definitely will be returning!

We loved this place! Eat here !!!!

By Ali-Ludwell |

We ate here in October 2017 as a family of three; and all loved it! We arrived without a reservation, but the staff were great and seated us within 10-15 mins. We ordered the shrimp and the king crab legs; amazing! The sauce is absolutely divine and the novelty of eating from plastic bags; with bibs/gloves and nothing but a crab meat fork - hilarious!! Its messy and its delicious.. and its a restaurant the likes of which I have never been to before.. but rest assured the next time we are in NYC; we will eat here again; and I will recommend this place (and have done several times already) to anyone who enjoys good seafood. Bravo, Claw Daddy's, Bravo !!!

Everything but the hostess

By Lisa Marie D |

This is a fun, reasonably priced spot with fantastic specials and fabulous food. I'd like to think the hostess was having a bad day; she had a stank attitude from the beginning to the end of our meal. Fortunately, our waiter was kick ass and made delicious recommendations, the drinks we ordered were only $8 on the happy hour menu and each bite was literally better than the last. The manager was also understanding of the situation and was not at all dismissive when we asked to speak with him. Everyone has a trash day, maybe this was here's. If you happen to catch a hostess with the not so mostest stick it out because the rest of the staff and the menu are worth it!

Amazing

By Agita K |

I had an amazing time at Claw Daddy's. Food was amazing and with a lot of flavour. I had my first oyster experience and I was not disappointed. Would recommend to anyone who loves seafood.

Best meal ever

By HayleyM |

I loved this place! The food was incredible and the waitress gave us our drinks for free as we had to wait a while to be seated. She also was so helpful with menu recommendations and gave me a free t-shirt for my birthday. Next time I'm in NYC i'm heading straight back!

Friendly Service, Average Food

By NYSheDevil |

So I visited here with family for dinner. When we go there it was happy hour. Part of Happy Hour was that wings were a $1. I thought "great!" ... wings are $1, 2 orders will take care of the table. Well, they mean $1 per wing :-(. We ordered anyway. They came to the table and they weren't even full wings. They were wingettes! A $1 a piece! Really?!? They were good, but I couldn't help thinking that it was in no way a deal. The fritters were really small. I ordered shrimp gumbo (4 ozs., maybe??) and mac and cheese (Kraft! - straight out of the box). I loved the concept but I don't think I will be back. The entrée menu is limited and the appetizers were way too small and not filling.

Very poor customer service

By T A |

11/30/2019 Horrible experience! I ordered two drinks, one for me and one for my friend who was in the restroom. My twin sister didn't order a drink because she left her ID at home. I specifically told the waitress I was ordering for two people, me and my friend in the restroom. She went on to say "Under NY Law, you are not allowed to drink two drinks at once." Extremely insulting to insinuate I was trying to order two drinks for myself. My friend who I ordered a drink for comes back, gets carded and places her order. A manager then comes after asking if everything was ok, we expressed our displeasure with the waitress's assumption and as opposed to apologizing the manager asked to see our IDs again. Then proceeds to say under New York we can't order two drinks for one person. There was three of us, one friend forget her ID at home. We told the manager we already ordered two drinks from the waitress, why are we being carded again? At that point we decided to leave and not patronize the business. The manager when asked why we were being carded again proceeds to say "I am not doing this, you can leave." I will be taking this up to corporate, no one should be allowed to feel this way nor should assumptions be made about patrons. We aren't criminals however we felt treated as such.

A Crab Lover's Dream!

By Ebonii W. |

Okay, so I come from the DMV, where the Chesapeake Bay never disappoints in the crab leg department. I LOVE crab legs; I'd eat them every day if it wouldn't kill me. With all that said, I get a little iffy when I order crab in other locations. I moved to the NYC area 2 years ago, and I FINALLY decided to try out Claw Daddy's this month. I cannot express to you how satisfied I was with this place! The crab was steamed to perfection, seasoned from the heavens, and the drinks (adult caprisuns) were delicious! It was pretty packed and you're in close quarters to the tables next to you, but honestly we could have shared a table and I wouldn't care as long as those crab legs danced on my tongue the way they did! That place is worth every dollar you spend in it, don't hesitate to head there ASAP!

Excellent-Nothing better then a Cajun style crayfish and crab boil

Excellent-Nothing better then a Cajun style crayfish and crab boil ... Shrimp, lobster king crab all served in the seasoning of your choice..Good food and drink and a fun inviting place ..nice change over the usual places

Amazing Seafood Experience

By Munchkin8it |

We took advantage of happy hour and arrived at 5:30 for some $1 oysters and $1.50 grilled oysters. Both were good, the grilled ones particularly, all garlicky and juicy. We then proceeded to order 2lb head on shrimp and 2lb snow crab legs (each!), I went for a Claw Daddy's sauce (an amalgamation of all the sauces) and with mild spice level, as advised by our lovely waiter. My fiance had the water boil (butter and lemon). Our bags of goodies arrived with the requisite bib, gloves and bucket and a whole feast of seafood gorging began. It was one of the best and most interactive dining experiences i've had. Don't get me wrong, it's not complicated or fancy, it's just hands on ripping, digging and sucking on lovely succulent seafood. Our waiter was very friendly and even gave us a list of places he recommended we try in NYC. Overall, the whole experience was fantastic and I cannot wait to go back for more...

Try the oysters

The food was very good. Ordered the oysters to try. They were fresh and very tasty. Very pleased with them. Staff was friendly. Cozy atmosphere.
