We visited on Thursday noon and the place was really crowded and noisy. We ordered just one pancakes, but needed to wait 45minutes. Not worth waiting.

So good, great breakfast. Portions are huge and everything comes out beautiful. I’ve also been there for dinner and the sandwiches are huge.

I was finally able to try it after years of failure, and yes this restaurant is very coveted so remember to make a reservation. Excellent pancakes (Blueberry pancakes are just amazing), the best I've tried in New York and this is my 6th trip, eggs Benedict too, omelette, well everything. Very friendly and efficient staff. Don't hesitate and go for it. I recommend 1000%.

As loud as it is overpriced. This is just another overpriced trendy spot in the LES that people go to to take pictures of their food and talk loudly. And sadly, the food is only good in pictures. $18 for three pancakes that are grainy and hard to swallow without something to drink right after. On top of that this is the only place I've ever been in my life that charges extra for syrup with your pancakes! $2 for a little sauce cup's worth and its typical bulk ingredient supplier syrup. If this place is paying for some fancy "artisan" syrup (which is very much the vibe they're going for), then they're getting ripped off as much as you would if you ate here. Also got their "hashbrowns," which literally looks like someone took a peeled potato and smashed it into a griddle top, with no seasoning like salt and pepper either (maybe that cost extra too?). Their service was decent, and the waiter friendly enough; with how much they're charging for food, I hope they're making at least $20/hr. Lastly, incredibly loud; they really cram as many people into this place as possible, and with overpriced drinks flowing into #livelaughlove types that the LES is known for, you can hardly hear yourself think (which is good because all you'll be thinking is, "I can't believe I just spent $40 on breakfast food"). With so many places that do their menu better in NYC why waste your money here?

Breakfast ? Pancakes, French toast and milk shakes... discreet dishes, super abundant, heavy but summarily sufficient!!!

So far, this was the best find this trip. We had dinner here tonight and everyone really enjoyed their food. We had a reservation so we were seated right away. Service was fast and efficient and the kitchen delivered quickly. My wife had the Banana Walnut Pancakes with a side of Chicken Apple Sausage (together $18, so a good value), She loved the food. My daughter had the Fried Chicken Sandwich with a side of Mac-N-Cheese (together $25 so a fair value). I had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Dinner which consisted of pieces of delicious Fried Chicken, Coleslaw ans a side of my choice. I chose fries and they were the only weak link we suffered all night since they were soggy. ($24 and a good value) We brought home Key Lime Pie but haven't eaten it yet but it looks yummy. ($9 a slice and value undetermined at this point)

My husband and I went here for brunch on a Monday. I had been wanting to try it given all the great reviews. We enjoyed it but I’m not sure if we’d go back because it took forever. We waited 30 minutes for a table which was fine. Ordering and getting our food took what felt like forever. It was busy but it seems extreme. We had the Huevos Rancheros with chorizo. This was good. I could live without the tortilla as it just turned to mush. Creama sauce is tasty. The omelette was alright, just your basic omelette. However, it was large. The pancakes are good. The maple butter is delicious. Probably the best part of the experience. Service was decent. Pleasant servers and someone coming around to refill water glasses. Venue is small and gets loud given the crowd.

We had been recommended this place by friends who suggested that if we ever got a pancake craving this was the place to visit in NYC! Although we had to wait a while to get a seat at a table for two people there was an extensive menu which was a welcome sight for two Brits on a slightly chilly December afternoon. The service is OK but it's the large portions and wide selection of options that you would come here for.

Best pancakes ever. Delicate omelette. Large portions. The French toast good but not unmissable. A place to visit.

Absolutely delicious!!!! Sometimes just have a craving for breakfast at dinner, this place hits the list. The crowds flock here in the morning and lunch hours so actually better to go at dinner hour and avoid the lines. The atmosphere is a elegant diner feel. The food is good old grub favorites. The buttermilk fried chicken is some of the best I’ve had. Perfectly battered and so tender on the inside!!! Feels you took a trip to south right in the East Village. You MUST order pancakes!!!! Any type is delicious, I went with classic blueberry pancakes and just fantastic. Sweet, buttery, fluffy, perfectly crisp pieces from heaven!!!!! GO HERE!!! You will be happy you did!!!

I went here a couple of times in 3 days and had my hotel been nearer I would have been back even more!! Absolutely delicious pancakes and the maple butter is out of this world. Great blueberry compote and the side of sugar bacon was wonderful. This is one of the tastiest meals I’ve ever had. The other day I had the chicken and waffles. This was just as good as the pancakes!! Waffles - you can really taste the buttermilk and the chicken batter was so thin and crispy! On top of all that - absolutely perfect service can’t want to go back!!

Recommended by a New Yorker we tried it for brunch. Very noisy/chaotic environment. Overall good dishes, although the egg ranchero was missing the chorizo ordered (and paid for) in addition. It's definitely our fault for not mentioning it....but it was very difficult to intercept the waiters.

The famous wild blueberry pancakes with warm maple butter syrup was everything I hoped for sweet and almost savory. Ordered a spicy Bloody Mary, spice level was on point, thick mix. Service was outstanding, smiles in the tight space…so busy. Make a reservation, we got right in with an hour wait!

Best pancakes ever! Omg! Fluffiest and the most delicious pancakes I ate!! Soo good that you want a second plate! Location: it is located in Clinton St afcourse, the interior is okay, just a typical american restaurant, looks like a diner inspired. Always a huge line because everything is good here. So come in early! Service: the server was nice! It was busy so she tries to give her best! Give us good recommendations! Food: Only one food I usually eat here and it's PANCAKES! Either the pecan or the blueberry is amazing! Omg the pancakes are so fluffy! And the warm maple butter just compliments the pancake! Huge servings too! Definitely a must!! Price rating: 7 out of 10. It is okay, it is good anyways! Definitely will come back for more pancakes! Best pancake I ever ate!! I want to come back soon! :)

Like many, I had to try those pancakes, they say they are the best, after all, the view, the local blueberries, the warm maple butter... Long story short, My wife and I waited over 45 minutes for one order of this must-try self-proclaimed wonder. 45 minutes for one pancake order! Can't be a good rating no matter how they taste like. I would not call this place a tourist trap since the view is indeed beautiful and the pancakes really delicious. But I won't have time twice in my life waiting for pancakes for almost an hour. The service delivery is simply too slow, the system did not meet the product quality. We spent 30 minutes standing in an unorganized queue and then waited 25 minutes for the single order to be ready. During all that time, there was not a single smile from any of the staff, they were just so mechanical and task-focused. The pancake recipe was created with love, by the owner, no doubt, but definitely not delivered that way. Until they develop a more efficient, dynamic, friendly service delivery, I would have to rate this place as overrated. Besides the pancakes, the other dishes didn't look very appealing but were more like just a simple diner's proposition. I recommend establishing a fast track cooking-service station for pancakes only. This would change everything.

We visited New York and wanted a great american breakfast...we definitely found it here! We had a Country Breakfast with Rosemary sausages (these were extra nice) and the Fried Chicken & Waffles. Well worth the visit and we will be going back!

The pancakes are really good do not mistake me - but nothing more. They are not worth 20 dollars. Good service

My son wanted to go there for breakfast as he had read such good reviews. We took a subway, walked a good ways and got on the wait list. The wait was not as long as we were told. The breakfast was really good--I had an omelet with hash browns and toast. Those hash browns were the best I've ever eaten--everything was worth the trip and wait. The fruit plate my son got was so fresh (we shared it). I would definitely go back!

What a way this was to start our day. We ordered butter milk biscuits (very much like scones) with scrambled eggs, melted cheese, bacon and hash brown, chocolate chip pancakes, a Bloody Mary, orange juice and bottomless coffee. All of the food was terrific and the coffees and water refilled with great regularity. A superb breakfast and great value..,

Waited almost 2 hours, and honestly it wasn’t worth it. The food was fine, but nothing special—this felt like a regular bakery with a hype line. If you’re visiting NYC, your time is better spent elsewhere unless you’re ready to waste a big part of your day just waiting.

Got the blueberry pancakes. So RICH. Too rich and sugary for me. Felt my blood sugar surging throughout the meal. My friend enjoyed his. It’s obvious care goes into the cooking and service , the food was just too much for me.

Best blueberry pancakes ever! The pancakes are served with warm maple butter and blueberry compote. Truly next level even as takeout. Muffins and scones also delicious! We went many times over three weeks and always got takeout due to popularity! I will mention that they also have a very tasty crispy chicken sandwich for lunch or dinner!

Great location. Great food. Ready to come back. Pancakes were great. Parfait was delicious. Omelette was very good.

It was packed but because I was alone, I was seated promptly. I had narrowed down between two choices but wasn’t sure what to go with so I asked the server for her opinion. She was really nice and suggested I order the chocolate chip pancakes over the farmers plate. It was sooooooo moist and delicious. The maple butter syrup was also equally delicious I would definitely come again to try the farmers plate. I read the reviews on here and came prepared to pay cash so no problems.

Visited here as per the recommendations on Trip Advisor for breakfast. Whilst the food was great, I can’t justify the process of getting a table! Given a 1hour wait time & told you’ll receive a text. This is a well organised set up but when in NYC on a trip every minute counts so I felt this was wasted time hanging around. The food was good however & I enjoyed the French Toast.

A good place for having breakfast. Awsome pancakes, good coffee with refill and good service. Hash brown is regular, it could be better. Arrive early because it get busy and the waiting list could take 40 minutes

The blueberry pancakes are mind blowing... Definitely one of the best brunches in the area. Even though it was crowded, we didn't wait much for our order. Highly recommend!

The cashier girl puts herself 20% without asking. I really despise this behaviour. Why would you not let the customers do this and you have to decide for them?

I had a pea soup which was brothy and more like a vegetable soup. It tasted fine but not what I was expecting. I ordered the fish tacos which had a great batter and was tasty and fresh. The portions are relatively small for the high prices. For dessert I had the Mexican shake. For $13 I expected it to blow me away but it was fair.

A super great restaurant. They were fast with friendly staff, and the food was amazing. The portions are huge and their homemade honey butter syrup lived up to the hype.

I should've not believe anything that being raved about on instagram. The food is just okay (there are other places that taste better), it is not worth the queue and their chaotic system of waiting list. They should've find a better system where people got their table based on number of people that wait on site and not text. Never again I come to this chaotic place.

Great first breakfast in NYC for our trip. The wait system was perfect, and once we got our text we popped back in and were seated immediately. Chicken and waffles with maple butter (WOW). Southern breakfast, grits were super tasty. Highly recommend!

Started to choke on my dinner and not one member of staff came to help I was aided by an American couple who registered the correct first aid and finally disloged the blockage and all I got from the manager was a cup of water and she said ill be back in a minute to check on me which she didn't obviously I wasent feeling like eating my dinner then and I thought at least she would reimburse me but nothing.

There is a bit of a wait and a small waiting area, but it was worth it. We ordered the banana walnut pancakes and the French toast with sides of eggs and bacon. We also had coffee which was nice and strong, as well as the fresh squeezed orange juice. Everything was delicious! Service was also very good.

The best Ricotta Lemon Blueberry pancakes ever. The biscuit sandwich is amazing. Sat at the counter to avoid the wait.A must when in NYC.

Told my wife we needed to go early if we did not want to wait in line for Sunday brunch but she wanted to sleep late so we waited 48 minutes. Arrived at 9:06 with plenty of parking right across street but the place has its reputation so waiting was in the cards. I enjoyed breakfast a lot. My Spanish omelette hit the spot. The orange blood screw drivers were solid. The blueberry pancakes not my thing because of carbs but I enjoyed nonetheless and the hash browns too for that matter. Worth the wait ? I dunno. Grabbed a butterscotch pudding at the takeout section next door and rushed back to spend birthday with my girl.

Not sure why all the hype regarding this restaurant…. We had a reservation @9am and ordered the French toast , house sausage and scrambled eggs and also the southern breakfast and cappuccino and coffee …. My palate may be skewed as Ive traveled all of the world for food … im a foodie…. But this breakfast was average… good average breakfast. Nothing to stand in line for ….. Actually the hotel breakfast at the Park Hyatt was 100% better……. But on a positive note the service was good.

Check out my I G lawyer.traveler.dreamer for more footage of our experience. We turned a rainy New York morning into a cozy food adventure at Clinton St. Baking Co. Started with their famous blueberry pancakes—fluffy, buttery, and packed with warm syrupy berries. The strawberry shortcake waffles were crisp and topped with fresh cream and strawberries. To balance the sweetness, we added a fresh kale salad and a vibrant fruit salad that tasted like summer. Two flavorful lattes kept us warm and happy while the rain poured outside. Everything was delicious, the vibe was cozy, and the service was quick. A perfect breakfast spot to lift your mood on a gloomy day. Highly recommend!

Came for breakfast with my family during our NYC vacation. The hostess said the wait would be 45 minutes but actually gave us a call 15 minutes later. The food was great except for my chicken in the chicken and waffles, thus the reason for the 4 stars. Service was excellent!!

I visited my daughter who lives in East Village. During our time together, she kept telling me about the great blueberry pancakes at the Clinton Street Baking Company. So one evening, my daughter, her friend and I decided to have dinner here. We ordered the Clinton Sweet Cheeseburger, Veggie Burger and Kale Salad with chicken. All three dishes were well received. We then shared the huge Blueberry Pancakes for dessert and my daughter was absolutely spot on as the pancakes were very delicious. The service was great and the place had a nice quiet ambience. One could see how popular this place would be in the morning for breakfast and sure enough, the next morning, we noticed a very long line waiting to obtain a table.

The place is good for having breakfast and delicious waffles and one can come here with friends and family for breakfast

Great breakfast. Large portions. Fast and friendly service. Good coffee. No complaints. We got a table straight away but a large queue formed while we waited. Not sure it was so good that I’d have queued 45 minutes for it.

Amazing fried chicken waffles and hot maple sauce - chocolate shakes - great service fabulous neighbourhood to walk it off. Great service — really good food.

We stopped in for breakfast when we were visiting in New York. They don’t take reservations so go early. When we arrived at 10:00 a.m. the restaurant was packed and we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table but it was well worth the wait. We ordered the Chicken and Waffles, Brioche French toast with Bananas and Pecans and the Blueberry Pancakes. The food was very good and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Keep in mind that if you go for breakfast they only take cash, no credit cards are accepted.

I have tried to get into this place for breakfast a few times, but there's always a long line-up. On my last visit to the "city" I went really early and lucked out. Great biscuits, great breakfast bowls, and probably the most amazing breakfast potatoes I have ever had. And all this was capped off by outstanding service. It is indeed a must try. Just a note that it's CASH only but well worth a side trip to an ATM.

Perfect for brunch in NYC! They have everything classic for a good breakfast, medium high prices, very good quality and very nice atmosphere. Recommendation: sweet potato pancakes / fries. It is usually quite full so it is advisable to book. Super friendly staff.

A definite must on the lower east side. Food is superb! Everything is so flavorful! Make sure someone in your group gets the hash browns. There will probably be a wait, but they staff really hustles. We were seated in 10 minutes.

The choices are a bit trendy, with the expected upscale urban regulars, but if you want good food you can find it here, and in large quantities. Excellent food, fast and friendly service, and lots of coffee. One thing to be aware of: cash only. So make usr eyou've got the bucks yo need. Breakfast for two ran us $50.

We visited on a Monday morning around 9am and were lucky to be seated straight away, when we left around 1030 there was a queue. The food was delicious, especially the pancakes, which were light and fluffy and the crispy bacon. Service was quick and friendly. Nice atmosphere, would recommend a visit.

Amazing breakfast! Pancakes were light and fluffy, eggs cooked perfectly and bacon just the right amount of crispy. Be sure to go with an empty stomach. You won’t leave with one!

I saw a online blog that said this place was one of the best restaurants to go to for pancakes and they sure weren't wrong! The pancakes are extremely fluffy and delicious. My kids loved it too and they're pretty picky eaters.

If you can’t get a reservation don’t bother front door staff plays favorites likes a club in the 90s was given a 1 and half hour wait time for a table and maybe 20 mins for the bar after waiting 30 mins with noticing seating available at the bar for the entire time I was there I was told that I was mistaken about what the front door person said there was not available seating at the bar and I would have to wait to my surprise a woman who had been waiting on her friend for over 45 mins gets seated when her friend walks through the door. So you don’t seat people who are actually there BUT hold seats for a half an hour for someone who is late…. Thanks but no thanks!

Had a delicious and filling dinner here with friendly service. Nice atmosphere and setting too. Would definitely recommended.

4.5/5 The best pancake restaurant in New York! @clintonstbakingco came into our lives in 2011 and still holds the "Best Pancake" benchmark for us. By moving from their old small venue on the Lower East Side to the shop on the corner of the same street, they have a more spacious venue and created more seating area (Note: It is impossible to find a seat without a reservation). We started brunch with Mimosa and Bellini ($12). We continued with our favorite, the Walnut Banana Pancake ($18). And we completed with a magnificent plate, Latke Eggs Benedict with Caviar ($23). We can say that the only thing that has gone backwards over time is the decrease in the taste, consistency and quality of the butter sauce served with the pancake. This is definitely a must-see place in New York. . #kaimbros

... if you are looking for a pancakes' paradise you can't miss this. it is always full and now you can imagine why. enjoy it.

We chose this restaurant as we started our exploration of New York and it was a fabulous start to the trip. The pancakes were divine and the French Toast with bananas was defo ooh la la! Staff were very nice, portions humongous and price very reasonable.

Clinton St. Baking Company has the best blueberry pancakes, huge portion, and the maple butter is to die for! We also ordered an omelette with sausages and hash brown (also great!), coffee and apple cider. Everything was delicious!

After some real strike outs on the breakfast/brunch scene in NYC, we finally got one right. Try to make a reservation if you can so you can get in first and order…there is certainly a line and for good reason. The breakfast is reasonably priced, the pancakes are among the best I’ve ever had (the chocolate ones of course) and the coffee is good. There are lots of treats like muffins and milkshakes, and the service was absolutely outstanding when we were there. This is certainly a much better choice than many of the much more pricy and higher end options. Highly recommended!

We came here for a large (American) lunch on our way out of NY. Absolutely loved it - all the food we had was fresh and delicious. The refillable coffee was a good standard and they had some lovely beers on tap. Milkshakes looked great but we did not try those. All the staff were exceptionally friendly, approachable and warming and, in our view, made the meal. Homemade pie to end was superb and background music was on point. Is now part of my recommendations of things to do in New York.

A must have after your meal is the Pancake. We had the buttermilk chicken which was crispy and tasty. Then comes the pancake with banana and it goes so well with a cup of tea or coffee. A very satisfying lunch .

I had read reviews in NY foodie mags that you could wait up to 2 hours here on a Saturday for their breakfast. I'm probably not willing to wait that long. We got here about 10 minutes after their opening time on a Saturday morning in February and was told it would be a 30 - 40 minute wait. They did offer to call us on the cell phone if we wanted to walk around outside, but I figured it would be better to wait in the seats inside because it was very cold outside. We were actually seated within 20 minutes. I had the triple berry waffle special with warm maple butter. These were hands-down the best waffles I've ever eaten. They were so light and the warm maple butter is so delicious. My husband had the scramble which he said was excellent. Its cash only on a Saturday morning. Even though it was crazy busy, we were still served very quickly. Once seated, we were probably out within 45 minutes at the most. I would absolutely come back to Clinton St Baking Co. next time we are in NYC.

Food was extremely delicious, service was quite refreshing, but the wait was a grooling 1hr. Wish they offered an online reservation an or waiting list before you arrived. I had the fried chicken and waffles and although savory, the syrup brought together a prefect balance of sweet and salty. BTW as much as I loved the Chicken & Waffles. The blueberry pancakes my sister had were even better! Idk what it is but whatever they use, It practically melts in your mouth. Definitely plan to return but get the waiting list availability online to save time. There was a lot of confusion in the front on how to get in line for a waitlist.

The waitress was polite and attentive. The food was expensive, there were no combination options if you wanted bacon with pancakes you had to order each individually, no free refills.

Don’t quite know why this is rated so highly. We visited early for breakfast and were seated in a booth. It was snug to say the least. Egg Salmon Scramble tasted ok but was very light on the salmon for the price. French toast again was ok but not good enough or large enough for the price. Eggs benedict ...I’ve seen better at my local cafe for much much cheaper, The food is ok and that’s about it but really not worth the money even in NYC. The Remedy diner down the road looked better value and decent portions.

Quite a busy restaurant with 30 mins waiting times however as a solo diner i was seated immediately at the bar. I had chicken and waffles ($18) with unlimited coffee ($5). Both meals were good and honestly I was full the whole day until dinner time including walking around New York city. Portions are generous and the pancakes looked good too, from what I spied from other people's plates. Wifi would have been nice.

This place is super-busy - book ahead unless you want to stand in the doorway for an hour. But, the best pancakes in the history of everything? Quite possibly. Fluffy, stuffed with blueberries and all-round just fantastic. Now I feel sick. Totally worth it.

After reading reviews we decided to come on Friday to try and avoid the rush. We sat at the bar in order to be sat away. It’s intimate seating. Food was delicious. We easily cleaned our plates. During the morning and afternoon it’s a cash only establishment.

11/10 for this fantastic place! Staff are incredibly efficient and friendly and the pancakes and omelettes are the best we’ve tasted and we’re lucky to have tasted breakfast around the world. Get there 10-15mins before it opens at 8:30am or make a reservation. Lots of people were disappointed when they arrived as it was full. Never seen a restaurant will up this quick which is always a good sign.

Attentive service and an unbelievable brunch. Best pancakes I’ve ever had: Banana Walnut Pancakes with their signature maple butter. I arrived around 10:30 AM on a Sunday and the wait for a table was two hours so plan to arrive early or make a reservation. I was lucky to be able to find a solo seat at the counter. Great brunch, specials, and cocktails. Great coffee and atmosphere. Although a little loud because of how busy they were.

The brunch was small for that I was expected but they were tasty (except my meal). I loved pancakes with marple syrup and chocolate!

There was so much positive hype about Clinton Street Baking Company, but we were disappointed with the mediocre food and the lackluster service . Not worth an hour wait.

We had read about this place, and whilst on a NYC Brooklyn food tour, we had sampled their blueberry pancakes, so knew we had to visit. At 9am the queue to get in for its opening was already long, but we managed to get a table and were immediately offered coffee and water and our order take. Despite a full house, we didn’t wait long for our order, and the breakfast dishes that were coming out of the kitchen was a sight to behold. Enormous portions, piping hot dishes, huge milkshakes and much more. It was tough to make a choice, but we settled on the Farmers Plate $17 and the Latke eggs Benedict $19 and coffees (which were continuously topped up!). Both were delicious and flavoursome. The staff were very friendly and efficient and have only great comments to make about this restaurant.

Today was our fifth or sixth visit there now. I cannot recommend the pancakes highly enough. Having said that I haven’t had a less than delicious meal there ever! One final word on the pancakes - when I make them at home (in Australia) I use Neil’s recipe.

I had been seeing this place often on my IG feed and decided to give it a try. We arrived early for our reservation and were seated. Took a while for the waiter to take our order but they were friendly, accurate and efficient. Food was excellent! The only downside to this place is that it is very cramped and loud but overall I’d recommend this place to others so as long as long you’re not looking for a quiet and comfortable NYC brunch.

This remains one of my favorite places in all of NYC. The food is amazing, people are great. You have to try these pancakes with maple butter. Tonight I had the kale salad (figuring I would eat everyone's pancake leftovers too--which I did!) and the salad was amazing too! They take credit cards in the evenings (we used one tonight) but otherwise it's cash only. Also can do reservations for dinner on the weekends--other times/days it's a line. Still worth it.

We came here on recommendation by many New York best pancakes lists and we weren’t disappointed . The reviews all said it could get crazy at breakfast time and recommended goi g for dinner instead . This worked perfectly for us as we went on pancake day (shrove Tuesday) we got there just before it opened at 5.40 and we were second in the queue, by the time we finished the restaurant was full and there was a queue waiting to be seated . Pancakes are so fluffy . I had the chocolate chip ones and my sister had the banana and walnut ones, they were so big I couldn’t finish mine . An absolute must do next time we are there.

Had a really enjoyable lunch with lovely crew working here making the meal so pleasant. The Lobster Omelette was a special and was so moist and sweet. Really fresh squeeze juices.

I gave up waiting on line for breakfast, so jumped at the chance to have breakfast for dinner. Here’s the deal: We made a reservation for 8 pm. A few hours earlier tried to make the reservation for 7, but at 4:30 no one answered the phone. We went back to Resy and they said no availability. We got to restaurant at 7:45 and it was basically empty. So, restaurant, figure out a way to better manage your tables. Now the food: I had the pancakes with bananas. they put the bananas on the top, none inside. Isn’t that how it’s done? They also put cinnamon sugar on the top - not mentioned on the menu as an ingredient. I can’t stand cinnamon, but decided not to “complain.” So ate without saying anything. The warm maple butter is sooo sweet had to ask for regular syrup. We also had the salmon and latke hollandaise. Both were good. We also had the chicken and waffles. My daughter who ordered this also thought that the maple butter was too sweet, so she asked for regular syrup for her waffle. She was told that if she got that they would charge us an additional $2. Unless we gave the syrup back. Really? I told the waiter to take mine back, knowing I was not going to eat it. However, I should warn you, I did put my fork in it to taste it. Not good quality control, restaurant. Finally, I would add that when we arrived at the restaurant, there was a full, overflowing, garbage pail right next to the host/hostess stand. It was pretty much a turn off when we arrived. I also noticed many of the tables were empty but had not yet been cleaned. And then when we left an hour and a half later, the garbage pail was still overflowing, never dumped. Needless to say we were quite disappointed. Not sure a return visit is in the cards. Sorry, Clinton Street.

We made dinner reservations as it was February and we didn't want to waste valuable time on a short trip waiting in line for brunch. My husband was excited to go for their chicken and waffles, and their milkshakes. While the food was fine, (I had the buttermilk fried chicken dinner) and plentiful, it wasn't anything special. We wouldn't have waited in the cold for it, and we were disappointed that we wasted one of only three dinners on a four-day trip on this restaurant. I would have chosen a breakfast item (which they're known for) but the options I wanted was only available in the AM.

A little heavy but fabulous pancakes, perfect for a brunch. High prices, but fair if you think about the quality and taste of what you order. Advised!!

We went there in the morning and there were already people waiting. The staff was really quick. They found a table for us in a minute, brought us tap water and we ordered pancakes with blueberries. Really good. The portion good for two persons. Cost 15$ plus tax.

Accidentally ran into this place, after being told at Katz’s Deli that there was a 30 minute wait to be served. Just a few blocks East, there it was... Clinton Street Baking Co.! The place was full despite being 2pm, so we decided to give it a try. What a find! Everything we ordered was delicious and well presented. The service was A+, with friendly and accommodating staff. If anyone is in the SoHo area of town, you must give it a try.

Bakery opens at 9am on the Sunday and at 8:49 people were queuing. We were ready at 9:30 but then had to queue for a table but they managed to squeeze us in and it was worth it. Great pancakes

We had brunch here on a Saturday late morning. We showed up at 11:30 AM and weren’t seated until nearly 1 PM. But I have to say it was worth the wait. I had the latke eggs Benedict and it was delicious. Everyone really enjoyed their breakfast and we didn’t feel rushed despite the long line of people waiting. It’s a cozy place. Take note that it is CASH ONLY and they don’t take reservations. I recommend you stop off at the ATM and have one of your party show up about 45 minutes before you plan to eat so they can put your name on the list. They won’t seat you unless all of the members of your party are there.

This place is totally overrated! I cannot understand how the waitlist is about 1 hour more! Literally the worst hasbrown I’ve ever had, they don’t even respect your place in line. The only good thing is the woman on the bar. If you’re a tourist dont waste your time here, better go to katsz or even dunkin

I had the best blueberries pancakes ever, the staff amazing and I'd definitely return there. On another occasion I had the waffle with fried chicken and it was good too

Great breakfast In this place. It’s always very busy, but understandable as the food is great. Service could be better but overall a good experience

We come to visit on a recommendation from family members that had been here previously and were not disappointed. It has to be the best breakfast we had. Easy 5/10 minute walk from the nearest subway station. We arrived for opening and got seated not a problem, we were not the only ones making an early arrival. Got seated and seen to not a problem, staff were friendly and looked after you really well. We had the pancakes with blueberries and the chicken waffles, both tasted incredible!! Would 1000% recommend this place for anyone visiting NY, good value for money as the portions are huge!!

Clinton Was everywhere on TikTok and insta so we decided yo try it. Super tasty pancakes, cool vibe and the customer service was a highlight. Definitely recommend going for a good breakfast you won’t be disappointed.

We visited this bakery because of its popularity and recommendation. We had to wait in a queue to be seated as this place does not offer reservations. We ordered different items to share out so that we can have a taste of variety. The service was good and quick.

This tastes as American as it looks! Saturday Brunch Clinton Street Baking Co in the Lower East Side, AMAZING! I had the Chicken & Waffles w/Maple Butter Sauce.... Crispy, Sweet & Spicy w/Soft Belgian Waffles. My partner went for the Country Breakfast, Maple smoked bacon, eggs, cheese grits and fried green tomatoes!..... oh and a side of Blueberry Pancakes!.....we didn’t eat again all day! Be aware that you’ll need to build in an hours wait for a table on a busy morning, the reservation system is dead simple... turn up, leave your number and they text you when your table is free.... until then you’re in the LES.... find a coffee shop!

We did have our first breakfast in New York here. We came here a little bit before opening and that was a good idea, because we got the last table and the queue was still very long. The food here were good, but not anything extraordinary. The service here were good and fast. We ordered Pancakes and Mexican Eggs Benedict. The Pancakes were just as fluffy as we expected after the reviews we have read. I would say you should be here a half hour before opening to make sure you get a table especially if you are 4 persons or more. - Simon

We visited for breakfast on 7th April. By far the slowest service we have received on holiday. Around 40 mins for pancakes and bacon £ Egg sandwich. I would not recommend this place

Who says you can't have breakfast for dinner!?!? If you are in the mood for breakfast specialty entrees, this spot is the place to be. However I absolutely agree with the other reviews that if you can, I would avoid this location like the plague on weekends for the wait can be anywhere from one to two hours. Luckily this place does serve breakfast all day so if you can wait I would recommend coming in either for lunch or dinner. The pancakes are quite appetizing, however I learned quickly that I will never be able to finish an entire order so if you have friends to share with do so or ask your server to put in a half order instead of a full order.

The omelettes and pancakes are delicious.the omelette is really too big and served with fried potatoes (?).huge portions. But too expensive anyway - we had 2 omelettes, coffe and shared 1 pancake for 80 bucks. And there is the "automatic gratuity" included, but other tips expected. Not sure what this means. Anyway, 80 bucks for 2 for a breakfast. It was ok, but I wont go again. Ps. : 45min waiting for a table. Arrived there on a Saturday at 9.30am.

I try to come here for breakfast whenever I visit NYC. It’s a bit out of the way from other things I’m visiting, but it’s worth the trip! There tends to be a wait so go during the week or off times if possible. They only take cash so come prepared. Their prices are high for breakfast but the servings are large so I make this my breakfast and lunch. The big draw is the pancakes, I’ve made the recipe multiple times and they are outstanding. The egg whites are whipped so the pancakes are light but rich (lots of butter and whole milk). Portions are ample and the quality of the food is high which makes the higher price worth it. Service is good too.

I can understand why they don’t take reservations. The place is always packed with a long waiting list, but it’s worth every minute of wait. Unfortunately, they discontinued one of my favorite dishes, which was the smoke salmon Benedict over English muffin. Nonetheless, they continue to offer other varieties that still remains top-notch. Walked away very happy and content. Our friends were very happy as well.

Apart from their pancakes (+1) their food here isn’t that amazing and prices are high but generally on par. Wait staff are efficient and constantly top up your table water (+1). If you have limited time or a tourist already having to wait in numerous lines...don’t allocate precious time here, unless you have something else in the area you want to see/do. There is one toilet for the entire restaurant. The line up for it can take longer than eating your food. We sat near the door and witnessed it slowly moving. So don’t wait until you desperately need it. Your food will get cold on the table (if served) while you stand in line. Recommend: The coffee from their takeaway next door ...it is nice and hot (+1). Purchase a muffin too to go. There is a smaller seating area with a toilet for customer use.

We walked in without a reservation and got a reservation 45 minutes later by a friendly employee. When returning, we got a great seating at one of the booths. Decided to try the famous pancakes and a chicken sandwich with fries combined with milkshakes. Both milkshakes were served swiftly and tasted really good. The food was a more strange experience. The pancakes were just as good as expected served with maple butter and berries. The chicked sandwich on the other hand was overcooked and tasted burnt and dry. The frites was also not the best, and looked a bit sad. Service was friendly and efficient overall, given the extreme pace of the restaurant through lunch.

We came here early in the morning but already saw a long line. Clinton Street has the best pancake ever. We ordered the blueberries pancakes - warm, thick and fluffy. The highlight was definitely their homemade maple butter. It was super delicious and portion was super generous. We also ordered omelette and Benedict egg, which were just average. Highly highly recommend their pancake!

I had heard this place gets crowded, so we went for a 6pm dinner on a Tuesday and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant! The blueberry pancakes were amazing, and I don't know what was in their syrup, but it was delicious!

Famous fluffy pancakes right in the heart of Time Out Market. The pancakes are perfectly light, with just the right amount of sweetness, making them an absolute must-try. Tucked away in this bustling food hall under the Brooklyn Bridge, you’ll find so many amazing food stalls worth exploring worth trying if you are around Brooklyn.

We had read many reviews about Clinton Street so decided to check it out for breakfast the last time we were in NYC. Delicious food and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Great all day breakfast place Must try- eggs benedict, fried green tomato and they even have draft beer with breakfast Plan in advance or reserve a table Otherwise you might get stuck waiting in a queue

For my first time in NY I had set myself a few checks not to be missed and the Clinton and its Pancakes were one of them!!! …enjoyable experience if I close my eyes I can still feel the flavor!!! Beautiful place, generous portions, very kind staff!!! You can't not go!!

Best meal we had in NY. Great coffee, best pancakes I’ve ever had with blueberries and butterscotch. Had chicken sausage which was awesome, eggs with cheese were decent but to be fair I was done after eating the pancakes and chicken sausage. Great service and totally worth waiting if you have to.

We came here a long time ago when it was tiny and really enjoyed our meal at the time so we were excited about coming back. We got there right as the doors were opening and there was already a long line. They will not seat you unless the entire party is present but it was just the two of us so no problem. They also tell you right away that it’s cash only. I got the impression since there were so many people waiting that they wanted to keep us moving along and not linger over breakfast. The only butter was foil wrapped and very cold so it could not really be spread over the pancakes - which we wanted to have without fruit or chocolate on top. Also, there was no regular syrup - just the caramelized praline-like sauce. I thought it was yummy but hubby did not like how thick and sweet it was. Granola was a little bland and not very crunchy. Definitely not the lovely experience we had years ago.

The wait was worth it! We arrived a little after the restaurant opened on a Sunday morning and the wait was already at 45 minutes. We happily waited in anticipation of one of our favorite travel destination meals! We were not disappointed! The pancakes are my wife’s favorite! Our friends ordered the chicken and waffles and loved them! I can’t wait to visit New York again so that we can eat at the Clinton St. Baking Company!

excellent restaurant. atmosphere and warm welcome. recommend. well located in manathan district south

Went to the empire stores one in Brooklyn and the breakfast food was good. My Spanish scramble was exactly what I needed. Tap water should have been more accessible though

We had Breakfast in this Place after hearing that there were the best pancakes the wait to sit was 45minutes So we opted for the takeway solution that is next to the place the pancakes are good soft and fluffy with a great jam you Blueberries also the good local cute muffins ..

We went there for breakfast, there’s always a bit of line, our wait was about 15 min. The water is free but everything that is on the menu is quite expensive. The portions are very big and the food is tasty. The blueberry pancakes are heavenly good.

Busy place that has queues most days for breakfast. The food and service was excellent, though a little more expensive than other places locally. This would be my first choice though. I recommend this place for breakfast

Best pancakes blueberry pancakes ever and Eggss Benedict, it quite says it all. Friendly and efficient service, huge portions and price similar to other restaurants here, worth a visit and eventually the wait.

I have been here once before - and it was just add good on this occasion. The queue round the block says it all really. I highly recommend you wait it out to get a table. Cash only. Good service. I Will return.

We were really looking forward to visiting this place and we were not disappointed! We ordered the chocolate chip and the blueberry pancakes and absolutely loved them. The syrup is sooo nice too. We would have come back again if we had the chance during our visit to New York. Would recommend to anyone.

Of all the places in the NY, and there are many, I choose Clinton St. I saw many posts on IG of the blueberry pancakes. I believe it’s their staple dish. I was torn between the chicken and waffles I saw others ordering and the blueberry pancakes which was the reason for my visit. Of course I went for the pancakes. I also ordered the chicken sausage. My friend said the chicken sausage was the best she has ever had. So, that may help to answer your questions about the chicken sausage. The pancakes were good. I would have appreciated a sweeter taste from the blueberries. However, the maple syrup they give makes up for it. A great syrup will make any pancake/waffle taste better! The interior is small. The chairs and seats isn’t what I would call comfortable. However it’s bearable. I would come back again.

Clinton street bakery was just around the corner from where we stayed in lower east side so knew best shout was to book as they always seemed busy. Such a good place for brunch / breakfast. My wife enjoyed the pancakes with blueberries and for me the French toast with sautéed banana and walnuts and maple syrup. Delicious and a real treat before a day walking and exploring. Staff were efficient and service prompt. Only downside was the coffee - a bit lacklustre in flavour but all the same a really great spot. Thank you

I love pancakes although I usually cant just eat that for a meal. I think of it more as a dessert. I felt bad just eating that, but it was really good.

The place itself is lovely and clean and the staff are extremely attentive and friendly. Never even had to ask for my water to be refilled! Obviously, we had the pancakes and they were absolutely amazing. Light and fluffy without a brick of butter you usually find in other breakfast joints and even more amazing was the Maple butter. WOW. Everything was simply amazing. Go now!

We had one capucchino and one espresso. Both were undrinkable. Sour - so I guess the brewing temperature was wrong - and also very “smoky”. We are Austrians and know how a good espresso should taste like. This is unacceptable at this price.

This place has been on my bucket list for quite some time, but the non-existing possibility of reservations put me off. This luckily changed. And I am so glad, we made a reservation on this very busy Sunday morning. I heard the hostess tell people, that it was a 1 hour 45 min waiting time. The atmosphere and the service is great, and food is even better. Can't wait to go back.

Very nice, but popular. we were only with 2, so we had a place at the bar. if you're with more, you can better make a reservation.

My spouse and I fly to NYC to have dinner at Clinton St. Every year. It's usually wonderful. Sadly, this trip and dinner was pretty scrappy. I made an 8:30 reservation and we were out before 9. We ordered coffee and hot buttered rum with two orders of chicken & waffles. The chicken & waffles literally came out in about 60 seconds. We didn't even receive our beverages yet. I looked at the waitress like she was crazy bringing it out that fast but she assured me it was fresh. Well it didn't taste great, wasn't very hot, and as you can see the breading wasn't even on the breast. When the hot buttered rum finally can't out it was so hot it was undrinkable. We left with the mug filled to the top still hot on the table. The wait staff never checked on us. When I requested the bill she didn't ask if we enjoyed it or if everything was ok or not. On the reservation I requested a. BirtH hat candle on the chicken and waffles if they had one but after being seated and waiting 15 min for someone to take our drink order I didn't even bother mentioning it. Seriously, I am a trained chef and I know chicken and waffles cannot come out fresh in approx 60 sec. I really don't think I'll be back. What a big let down.

Looks like traditional diner in Manhattan, I tried banana walnuts pancake, and they were delicious. The service is good too

What a wonderful cafe. Food is superb and staff are friendly. I had the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon on latkes, really unique and so tasty. Sue had a great stack of blueberry pancakes with maple butter, also delicious. Good coffee, fresh orange juice, what more can you ask for. Only warning is that this is fantastically popular so be prepared to queue. We managed the last two seats at the bar at 9:30 on a Friday, but when we went back on Sunday at about 10 the queue was so huge we moved on.

Decent breakfast foods at acceptable prices. I had the Country Breakfast and it comes with three eggs, ham, a biscuit and hash browns. It is a decent meal at an acceptable price of $18. The eggs were ordered over medium and came over well done. The ham was a decent size and very good. The Biscuit was hard and came only with raspberry jam, disappointing overall. The hash browns were okay. The Banana Walnut Pancakes at $18 must have been okay since they were completely eaten.

Number one you definitely need to make reservations (it opens up I believe one month in advance) otherwise you'll end up waiting as others were, but when you come in you have to tell them you have a reservation otherwise they think you're just coming in off the street. The place is lively and we were seated at the corner booth by the window so that added to the nice vibe of the place. I ordered things separately (i.e. eggs, bacon, hash browns and fried green tomatoes), The three of us shared blueberry pancakes, definitely something to order but frankly I wish they would use maple syrup and not the toffee flavoring they have. I didn't need to order hash browns since sharing a serving of hash browns with my daughter would have been more than enough for the two of us. Coffee was decent. All in all a good experience and would definitely go there again. https://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowUserReviews-g60763-d479256-r877335542-Clinton_St_Baking_Company_Restaurant-New_York_City_New_York.html#

For a great pancakes experience you definitely have to visit this restaurant. We order the Mexican Chocolate Pancakes: crunchy “churros” bananas, cinnamon-chili-chocolate sauce dulche de leche whipped cream and the pancakes with warm maple butter with wild maine blueberry, banana butter an chocolate chunks, delicious.

Excellent food, especially pancakes, and also excellent service. Easy to reach from several subway lines, and reservations are a must.

I visited on a non holiday, Monday morning and there was a wait. I can't imagine what it's like on the weekends.. The food was good and fresh, the staff was attentive and friendly. I never felt rushed, it was a nice ambiance and it was worth the wait. I ordered the Clinton St. Omelette and my friend had the Brioche French Toast, both meals were very good and held me over for a late dinner. Expect a wait but they take your name, number and will text you when a table is ready. It's CASH ONLY so bring enough green paper. ;)

Great breakfast/brunch place. Every item we had was delicious and I left feeling full and satisfied. As mentioned by other Yelpers the blueberry pancakes were amazing! The maple ham was also phenomenal! It's in a nice location away from the hustle and bustle of midtown Manhattan. Definitely worth the visit

Tried to order on Ubereats. After waiting at least an hour for a small order, they cancelled the order without giving a reason

The restaurant wasn't particularly packed, but we still had to wait around a lot to have orders taken, be served, and even for the bill. As for the food itself, we had some pancakes and they were nothing to write home about.

Best huevos in an long time! House made corn tortillas, and amazing goodness. Great coffee. I would recommend for sure. Apparently also known for deliciousness of their pancakery with heaps of Berry’s and other options atop!

I had never tried chicken and waffles before visiting Clinton St. and it genuinely blew my mind. Combined with the maple butter, it is the perfect blend of sweet and savoury. Prepare to wait at least 30 minutes for a table - this is a popular spot. You get notified by text when you're next in line so feel free to go for a little stroll. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They couldn't do enough for us, despite having a full restaurant. A fantastic spot in every way!

Nice breakfast tasty dishes large portions. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend if in the area or visiting

I made a last-minute decision to come here for Sunday brunch. I got there about noon, and I knew there would be a wait, but lucked out. There were people sort of lined up outside, so I asked if that was the line, and was told you had to go in and check in. Doing that was easier said than done as there were people lined up in the tiny vestibule to get to the desk to get on the list. It took forEVER to even get the attention of the person doing the list-minding/seating. Finally got to me, and I'd heard the party ahead of me be told that the wait was 2 hours. Yikes! But I spotted a single seat open at the counter, and lo and behold, I was allowed to take it right then. Advantages of being a solo diner. The food was very good, the service was fine once seated. I nearly choked when the couple seated next to me went to check out and was told that the restaurant only took cash. The counterman said that there was a sign, but I didn't see it coming in and looked for it but didn't find it when I left. I NEVER have more than a few dollars on me. NEVER. But given that I was traveling, I just happened to have taken out a couple of 20s before I left home just in case. Given that it was the next to the last day of my trip, we're all lucky I still had it on me and hadn't spent it. I wonder what they do if a customer doesn't have the cash? Anywho, yes on the food, but don't know that I'd endure a long wait or make a special trip. And take cash!

So let me start by saying I am a huge foodie and this was THE best breakfast I’ve ever had. The blueberry pancakes, the maple butter, the potatoes, the eggs..all absolutely amazing. Our whole group loved their food and we felt it absolutely was worth the hype we’ve seen on social media. By FAR the best breakfast of the trip & quite literally, the best I’ve ever had. The negatives: service. Our server was hardly existent. No one ever checked on us after we got our food until they brought us our check (which somehow had extra items on it?) ALSO, the way they deal with reservations was so incredibly odd and allowed for incredibly rude situations to occur. We were the first people there, starting the line over 30 minutes before they opened. The line quickly formed and was wrapped around the building. Yet, groups of people with reservations (which I had seen they DID NOT do on Saturdays, guess that was wrong) shoved their way past us inside first? Maybe this is a thing here, but it felt insane to me. For us to stand in the cold for 30 minutes and then allow rude customers to just skip all of those people? No. Not as important, but the lady in the front who literally screams at everyone to shut the door was also so annoying, we heard it said probably 30 times during the duration of our meal. Pricing was also unreal lol. For the $18 pancakes to come with no sides is wild. It was $33 for me to get pancakes, a side of potatoes, and a side of 2 scrambled eggs. I guess when the food is that good you can charge that, but it was pretty insane pricing. Like I said, food was amazing though. Service was just crappy.

Great food in the heart of the lower east side! Only draw back is the que was huge just to get a table, but it was a Sunday morning so unsure if this is just the case on weekends? Would visit again but wouldn’t que for an hour.

Clinton St. Baking Company was -Awesome- all around!! I came here with a friend the first weekend that Time Out Market was opened. We saw the food being prepared and just had to stop. We got an order of the pancakes, an order of the waffles, and a glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice. They were all yummy!! That fresh-squeezed OJ was some of the best OJ I've ever had in my life, and definitely the best I've had in NYC in the past 5 years. The pancakes and waffles were both decadent. One tip: if you're coming here, come HUNGRY! This food is best as a breakfast or dessert, so say goodbye to any further appetite for several hours after stuffing several bites of deliciousness into your body. (In a good, satisfying kind of way!)

I’ve never seen a more rude servor in my entire life. Snobby as hell. Big shame when you know the quality of the food there.

Delicious, with their maple sauce emulsified with butter! Everything I saw passing by looked sublime. All the guys, but all really kind. And then compared to other slightly more famous places it is frequented by New Yorkers, it really feels like having breakfast if you live in the area.

...in New York for a short city break, en famille. But where to have lunch prior to our flight home from JFK? #2 son lead us to the Clinton St. Baking Company & Restaurant, on the strength of the good reviews and we were not disappointed! I had the fish tacos, while the others chose pancakes, washed down with draught, craft beers. For desert we shared a wedge of apple pie, washed down with endless coffee. It was all delicious and what a wonderful finale to our trip. As we were leaving the kind waitress handed us two bags of scones for our journey. And they were delicious and much appreciated as our flight was delayed. Thank you to all concerned at Clinton St. Baking Company & Restaurant.

Came all the way from Sydney Australia to try these pancakes, the blueberry pancakes with bacon were awesome. Service on the other hand was lacking. Staff were too busy chatting amongst themselves, nearly spilled food on us as they cleared the tables. Very disappointed as was expecting an overall great experience, have followed their socials for some time now and expected more. Lucky for them the pancakes were good.

Clinton St. Baking Co. is a popular spot in NYC, especially known for its brunch offerings. The Wild Maine Blueberry Pancakes with warm maple butter are a standout, often praised for their fluffiness and flavor. Another favorite is the Latke Eggs Benedict, combining crispy potato pancakes with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce. However, the restaurant’s popularity comes with drawbacks. Long wait times are common, and some patrons have noted that the seating process can feel disorganized. Additionally, the bustling atmosphere can be quite loud, making conversation challenging at times. In summary, if you’re willing to navigate the crowds and potential wait, Clinton St. Baking Co. offers some delightful dishes that many find worth the effort.

Nice and friendly environment, decent food and pleasant service. However, it’s on a cash only basis, so make sure you arrive loaded. There is normally a waiting time of around 20-30 minutes during the week and much longer on weekends. We went for brunch and waited about 20 minutes.

My boyfriend and I visited for breakfast. We turned up at around 9:00am and waited about half an hour for a table which we were fine with. The atmosphere is good - this place is very busy. The waitress took our order, i ordered the eggs Benedict and my boyfriend ordered the banana pancakes. We also ordered two refillable coffees. We waited over 45 mins and our order had not arrived. The tables next to us (who sat down after we did) had already received their order and left! When we asked the waitress when we could expect our food she said she did not realize we were in a rush and that she would chase it up (how 45 mins is a rush i do not know). Another 15 mins later our food arrived. My eggs were very very overcooked to the point where they were like rubber balls and i sent them back. The pancakes were good however in our opinion nothing to write home about. When i sent my order back the manager came over and was very apologetic indeed and offered to get me a replacement meal. I politely declined as at this point we had been in the restaurant close to two hours and we wanted to get going with our day. Our bill was taken care off and we were not charged for the meals and coffees. As we were leaving another order arrived at our table! I can only assume therefore that the waitress did not put our order through correctly and it only went through when we chased. Really bad service so i would not return. I have however given it two stars based on how much everyone else seemed to be enjoying it and the way the manager handled our complaint. Maybe we just had bad luck?

We enjoyed a fabulous brunch at Clinton Street Bakery! Everyone was thrilled with their choices. DH said the eggs Benedict was in the top 5. DS loved his chicken and waffles. I opted for the special waffle: blueberry crunch with blueberry sauce and blueberry fool (we learned what a foodie fool is!) It was so beautiful even the waitress took a photo before serving it! Tip: make reservations if you don’t want to wait 1.5-2 hours.

Visited Clinton's whilst in new york. The pancakes were decent and so were the bellini's but due to it being so busy ( which i guess is a good thing) it was so loud I could barely hear the conversation with the people on my table. Unsure how to rectify this, I would of stopped for longer but it was very manic. Overall good food bur very loud.

Love love love! Luckily I was able to make a reservation for my Husband and I very last minute due to a cancellation. Upon arrival, lots of people line up to enter without reservations and luckily majority of them got in. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful and the staff is extremely nice. We ordered the Spanish scramble and the Brioche French Toast. Both so delicious. The orange juice tastes very fresh and the utensils are clean. Sadly there is only 1 bathroom stall so the wait can get long but other than that , great contribution to our first trip to nyc.

Apart from having to wait for a table the visit was excellent, friendly, attentive staff who got our order spot on, the food was sublime and now I understand why people were queuing outside to get a table, all round an excellent restaurant.

Travelled to NYC for my wife's birthday. Visited the restaurant on recommendation by my brother. Followed advice and went 30 minutes before they opened and brought cash. Place was easy to find, beautifully set up. We already knew what we wanted to order. The server was pleasant and attentive. Ordered the pancakes, farmers plate and fried chicken and waffles. Amazing!!! Will go back for sure. Hard to find anything wrong with the place.

Yum yum yum! This place is worth the wait. It could quite possibly be the most delicious breakfast I’ve ever had. The brioche French toast has the right amount of crispness. The eggs Benedict comes on a homemade biscuit. Everything is spectacular!

The waiting time is worth it. Great service and wonderful food, I ate the house's signature pancake and capucchino

Best American breakfast ever! Organic chicken and free range eggs, fluffy pancakes and biscuit like brioche. The place is nice and clean and packed with new yorkers.

I’ve always heard Clinton St had the best pancakes in NYC…now I KNOW they do. Truly great service and fantastic pancakes. We will be back!

The blueberry and choc chip pancake stacks were unreal. We wanted to eat our way through the whole menu though - it all sounded and looked amazing! We went to the Time Out market outlet and were there first thing - so had no issues getting seats on the counter and watching the chefs in action. Brilliant American brekkie - highly recommend!!

You will wait, but it will be worth it!!! The best breakfast and brunch we found in NYC!!! As I’m From the South, that’s saying ALOT! We actually went twice! And go next door to get coffee while you wait at their counter serivce entrance. I also got bakery items to go! Delish!!!

It was a wise choice to celebrate my Birthday Brunch at my favorite Pancake place in NYC. Exceptionally staffed - shout out to Jennifer the friendly and hospitable hostess! The wait staff are knowledgeable and inviting. Try as many pancakes as you can ! The other menu items are equally delicious from chicken & waffles to the sandwich offerings. Next door you can bring home a sampling of their baked items - not too shabby either. This is a must go and so worth the wait !!!!

The food was really good and the staff served us well but whilst I was in there someone stole my scarf which is so weird! Anyway, good food but look after your belongings!

It was fast and busy but the pancakes were delicious. We had booked which is advisable as it’s a real popular place. Husband had chicken and waffles and did not need to eat anything else all day. Huge portions. Very good

Know the place for a while and usually very good pancakes / this time good as usual but seeing the cooker preparing them and eating slices of bananas ( which are for the pancakes..) while he cooks ( and touch the food )seem a bit inappropriate in these complicated times of sanitary obligations…Obviously no mask either Not right to say the least
Best brunch
Amazing pancakes, eggs , bacon . Delicious, best brunch on lower Manhattan Warm welcome. Be careful, it's Quick full..
