Drinks and food

By JA J |

The drinks never disappoint I had the Texas Frozen margarita with the extra shot the bartender was amazing and the food was delicious.

Hmmm so so!

By BrianJ0 |

Read so many great reviews regarding the Dallas BBQ and being a meat eater I thought it would be worth a try Unfortunately my wife is not so keen on meat as I am I decided upon the rack of ribs which were very nice but she unfortunately chose the chilli which she described as too sweet the accompanying tortilla chips turned out to be a bag of Dorritos which were flung on the table The premises are huge very impersonal and just rows and rows of tables Fine if all you care about is eating meat Won't rush back in a hurry

Perfect find on Thanksgiving

By swawerski_82_3 |

After the parade we had no idea where to go and found Dallas BBQ by chance. This place was great! It was clean, there wasn’t a long wait, our waitress was extremely nice. The staff all worked together to make things go smooth and it is appreciated. I had the Thanksgiving special which was a turkey dinner and it was delicious!! It came with a cupcake and the sweet waitress brought extras for my 2 small children to enjoy as well. Would recommend to friends for sure!

Avoid

By chromemiller |

Completely inedible chicken and fries. Cold food. Chicken that had been cooked hours before and kept warm. Made my daughter feel sick. How they can feel this is acceptable, maybe it was because they were a group of girls, tourists from the UK. I would avoid this place.

Tips from NYC -Restaurant

By Ernesto M |

Full and excellent food, highly recommended. I went with my wife. Friendly and pleasant environment!!! It was a restaurant that was nominated by New York Tips!!!

What a different- terrible experience

By Ray A |

We cannot believe the difference. Went in earlier on our holiday and had one of the best steaks ever. Not so this time. Ordered 5 main courses, my son's chilli arrived in a reasonable time but only after complaining the other four meals arrived 45 minutes later! I ordered a medium steak , it was way overcooked and I was so fed up simply sent it back as I was past it. The other 3 meals ok ish but certainly not as good as our first visit. The waiter was very apologetic but clearly something had gone badly wrong in the kitchen. It was like eating in a totally different restaurant. What a pitty.

Excellent food and service

By Sandra K |

We visited this restaurant as was closer than the one in Times Square. Glad we did, only had to wait 5 mins on a table and served quickly. Food was amazing. There were 4 of us inc my 2 teenage daughters and we all enjoyed it. My daughter said it was her best steak so far and she had a few in New York 😃.

The best Veggie Tempura

By Antoine B |

Before visiting Dallas BBQ’s I had only had Veggie tempura once in my life. After trying theirs I have been hooked. Every time I fly to NYC one of my first stops is this place for tempura. I’ve tried different restaurants across the country but none taste quite as good as Dallas BBQ. And they fill your plate up for $8 dollars. You can’t beat it. The first time walking in I thought what could I possibly eat here. Boy was I surprised. I love this place. It stays busy but I don’t mind.

Typical BBQ, huge portions, reasonable prices

By Carsten S |

I have been going to Dallas BBQ for twenty years now, every once in a while when I am visiting NYC. As the resaurant at the upper westside has closed a few years back, we now went downtown to the Chelsea Location. Easy to reach, directly at the subway stop. The restaurat is rather spacious, so normally you do not have problems to get a table. They serve the typical BBQ dishes, ribs (very tasty), roasted chicken (I love the honey basted Version), fries etc. The portions are huge and the Food is good (you get what you expect) for a reasonable price level. Of course Dallas BBQ is no Gourmet temple, rather expect typical BBQ Food. But for that it is a great place to go.

Great Drinks

By andremjohnson |

Went for after work cocktails which were good. You can always get a Texas style Pineapple Crush with an extra shot. Always alot of people in there and very nosey but that's what you expect when you go. We had the steak and shrimp and the bbq beef ribs which I can say is on point. If you looking to get a decent meal and a good quality drink BBQs on 23rd and 8th is a good place to start.

Busy venue

By GlennerBristol |

A very busy and popular venue when went. Had to wait for table. Service very good and chicken and BBQ ribs very nice.

Look elsewhere.

By JCDMIBZ |

Seating was very fast but then it all went downhill from there. We ordered and they forgot to bring out one of the orders. Th e waitress said she would check twice and then finally after 15mins the food came out. As we waited for the other persons food, now ours was cold. They even messed up the drink order. Rhe music is too loud and you cannot have a conversation. The food is mediocre and nothing that special. Will not be going back to this establishment due to lack of service and quality good food.

good for family

By bough |

if anyone is looking for a nice place to have good meal with family Dallas BBQ is a place for you, also food portion is big price is much reasonable. looking forward to go back with my wife and kids since the last time we visited my wife was quite blown away by the service food and the atmosphere of this place

Ribs and Chicken adn Waffles

By Annette E |

We stopped here for an early supper one night. Decent prices and they have an early bird special for 2 people until 4:00 pm. I ordered the ribs which were delicious and my husband had the chicken and waffles which he said was delicious. I found the cornbread to be very dry. The portions are large and the drinks come in the biggest glass I have ever seen. We sat on the lower level which was not over crowed. We would go back again.

Amazing as always - great helpful staff

By Martin G |

We went for lunch after visiting the high line and as usual amazing food and great staff. My partner had the steak while i had the steak and ribs both excellent. Nothing else to put apart from if you havent been make sure you go - its brilliant (thumbs up)

Worth a visit

By Christianna74 |

Food was yummy, very American. Service was great and very large so no trouble with seating although we didn't go at a busy time.

Be careful of your credit card information

By Linda M |

Wait was too long. They passed us by for larger parties. Food was good and quick once we were seated. However, used my American Express card to pay and less than a week later my card was used fraudulently more than 15 times to make online purchases. Dallas BBQ was the only place that I used my card recently so it had to be done by one of the employees. What a disappointment. I hope the management catches and fires this criminal. I am sure I am not the only victim.

Good value

By la_gatuna |

A very popular restaurant, it’s crowded most nights of the week. Prices are good and portions are fairly big. There’s also a great early bird special seven days a week, but not only for tables of four or fewer guests. A lot of the food options are not of the healthy variety, but there are good choices if you want to avoid fried or greasy food. I ordered the quarter chicken with white meat and a salad and my husband ordered the Caesar salad with chicken. We were both happy with our choices. In addition to chicken and ribs, there are several burgers on the menu, and a selection of steaks and seafood. Their libations include enormous colorful concoctions that appear to be very popular. They also serve beer by the glass and by the pitcher. Service was decent on our first visit, less so on the second visit. Always check your bill to see if the tip was added. The two of us visited twice and each night there was a sticker stating whether or not a tip had been automatically included. I thought that was a little strange that one night a tip wasn’t added and the second night it was included. That may expalain the lackluster service we received the second night.

Very touristy

By Missmerican |

Very touristy place just off times sq but big portions and delivious bbq meats, my husband couldn't eat everything and he is a pig!

HORRIBLE

By Sully |

I placed a pickup order over the phone. A hot dog with french fries. Picked up the order, got home only to discover half a hot dog on the bun. Both ends of the hot dog had been ripped off and placed on a bun twice as long. I called the restaurant to ask for a replacement. The first person I spoke to seemed completely disinterested and transferred me to someone else who then transferred me to a third person who didn't seem able to grasp what the problem was. At that point, I asked for the manager. Big mistake. I was transferred to voicemail and disconnected. I called back and asked for the manager. Was told he was busy. Insisted on speaking to him. Was disconnected. Called back and at this point, was irate. The manager, Jefferson, finally came to the phone. Explained the situation and was told I had been rude to his staff but would nevertheless transfer me to someone who would take my new order. Was finally transferred to someone who was confused as to why I was ordering "half of a hot dog". Hung up and called back and asked for Jefferson. Transferred to voicemail. Hung up and called back. Insisted on speaking with the manager. Jefferson came to the phone. Explained what had happened when I tried to place my order. Was told by Jefferson that he was standing next to the confused employee when I tried to place my order again and didn't understand the problem. Ended up having to walk back to the damn restaurant to return the half hot dog and get my money back. NEVER AGAIN.

Good but......

By Charlie W |

Went to Dallas BBQ for the first time in a long time. First, the place is very noisy. The food was good but the ribs had the least amount of meat on them than any place I have eaten ribs. What was there was tasty. I had the half rack with fries and left hungry.

not as bad as it used to be...

By Stephan G |

For the first time in a long time, the food was acceptable. I had ten shrimp and ten wings. The size of the wings is strange, but what the hack...

Change the hostess

By Antonin |

Food and drinks are always good. Unfortunately this evening a hostess sitting at the front door being annoyed by my question, was really rude. It was six of us and we were willing to wait over 45 minutes but not after the unpleasant hostess being on her cell phone answered one simple question with the attitude and pulling her face mask down. We were no longer interested.

Poor Quality

By BBQ Luvr |

The Dallas BBQ chain sells poor quality very standard boiled meat and nearly tasteless sauce. Definitely not worth the money. Look anywhere else.

Waiter brought out my entree before my appitizer and did not bring out my guest's food until AFTER I finished my food.

By sobeneweyork |

Dallas BBQ has the worst food delivery coordination that I have ever experienced. And, I dine out every night 365 days per year. When two of us ordered our food, the waiter brought out my appetizer before my entree. I had finished eating my appetizer BEFORE any food was brought out to my dining guest. He too received his entree before his appetizer. Both of us were trying to flag the waiter down, without much success. Finally, he came over, and we complained about the poor service. Nothing was done. We both decided never to dine at this Dallas BBQ again.

bad food. bad service

By rnjak |

The pineapple slushy drink was good. The bbq sauce was good. The service was terrible. She vanished. And it wasn't busy. The food came out so fast, that we wondered if it was all pre plated somewhere. The sauce was just slopped on, not bbq'd on. The chicken was dry, left in the warmer dry. Cooked a long time ago dry. Maybe the other locations are better. Avoid 8th Ave

Great service !

By Steven B |

The place stays packed, but surprisingly there is rarely a long wait. The food is good. The service is good. The price is right, especially for New York . My favorite are the Henny wings ! I had 10 whole wings and ate every one of them. The frozen drinks are to die for. Whenever I go to New York, Dallas BBQ's is a must stop.

The food was delicious

By vickies433 |

I ordered carry out from Dallas BBQ. I wasn't disappointed. I had had it before while in NY. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. I will visit again when in NY.

Good food

By Philip B |

Bustling Restaurant with a wide selection of meals. Had the Sticky wings one evening & went for the 10 piece, wow that was a mistake as they were huge but very tasty. Staff very friendly

Cheep! Good! Dependable!

By Joseph D |

Please refer to my title above: Cheep! Good! Dependable! That about sums it up, especially for those on a budget. The food is not elegant but fast and tasty and not expensive at all. Oversized drinks and beers help. Stick with staples like ribs, 1/2 chicken and baked potatoes. Salads are not their specialty. Avoid the corn on the cob. The location is "ground zero" for Chelsea and super accessible. The place is very lively and very New York. If you want a classy and stylish experience go somewhere else, but the experience is acceptable for lots of situations like birthday parties, etc. Prices - you won't find a better deal anywhere in NYC!

Nice food and great cocktails

By Katy G |

After a long day exploring the city we came across Dallas BBQ. It was super busy so we went in, within 10 minutes we were sat and ordering! We had two cocktails to start which were frozen type and were really nice! I had ribs and shrimp and my husband had a combo of shrimp, steak and ribs! All good standard and the service was excellent! We walked past the Times Square one the next night and they were all queuing outside, would definitely recommend a short subway ride to this as it wasn’t as busy!!

Go if hungry

By asrodrigues84 |

Good place, nice hospitality but not wonderful food. Nice place to go to eat simple food...not to have a gastronomic experience.

Great food and service

By Dr Alessandro Ferrazza |

Dallas BBQ made our trip a true American experience, although a very busy night we were looked after very well and the waiter was very patient with us as we were not too familiar with the offer. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and we felt the price was comparatively fair with the size of the huge portions. Needs to be said that being NYC all prices are significantly inflated. I had to use the WC and as you do I had a quick look at the kitchen, if inspected in the UK It would issued with an emergency order as it was not the cleanest.

Good eats, good drinks, good price

By palerm0e |

This is a pretty good chain in NYC. Good food, quick, fresh, cheap. Good drinks - LARGE LOL Good service. Semi decent parking in the area. My second favorite site in the chain, but only bc the coop city location is closer.

My Fave restaraunt in Chelsea

By Andrew G |

I have stayed twice in Chelsea and always look forward to this restaraunt. The prices, service and atmosphere are good and will come back again

Good value in a Time Square Setting

By gilladj |

We were hungry and had time to kill so wandered in about 4:00 pm on a Wednesday. We both chose the early bird special which was a half chicken with soup and choice of side dish (fries, baked, rice or salad). This meal was priced at $7.99 and if you buy two, which we did they were $14.99 for both. Chicken was good. Soup was hot and decent chicken veg, the salad is small the baked is big. The corn bread that comes with the meal was dry and inedible. Still a good meal for a bargain price given the setting. I would eat here again.

Nice place

By Julia |

I grabbed a burger and liked it. The service was ok. Its more a diner than a restaurant and it was crowded still at 10pm.

Visit after graduation near .

By Charmjohn |

Everyone got a chance have an extended time out.The food was good. 🎓 Graduation 👧 girl enjoyed herself.

Go, enjoy, roll out, and remember the best BBQ in NYC

By Kay165 |

After an utter disaster at TGI Fridays, the hotel where we stayed recommended Dallas BBQ. How glad am I that they did. By far the best place we have eaten in NYC. For the starters to the main course, perfectly cooked, huge plates, very accommodating where children are concerned, they even have their own mocktails which come in a goldfish bowl :-) Nothing was too much trouble for the waiting staff. The locals were very friendly and outgoing, we had such a good chat with the couple sat at the next table. If I were you go to Dallas BBQ and eat the night away, enjoy.

My Favorite Place

By Toya W |

Dallas BBQ's my favorite restaurant I literally visit one of them once a month so that alone tells you its yummy my favorite drink is the super tsunami 🍹a must try and the food ribs fall off the bone finger licking good but the wings are to die for so good and the shrimp 🍤 seasoned well if you looking for a great restaurant give them a try you want be disappointed

don,t wast your time and money

By gvhabitue |

i don,t know why they call it Dallas BBQ there is no i repeat no real BBQ in that place the food is full of greasy and my stomach was upset.

Amazing food and massive cocktails

By rhirhi274 |

We stopped at Dallas BBQ after a long day out in New York sightseeing. We were both hungry and thirsty and Dallas BBQ definitely resolved these!! Food portions and the cocktails are massive! My husband had the New York strip and I had the steak and ribs and they were both lovely. We just wished we could have eaten it all! The frozen cocktails are a definite must and are extremely moreish! Service was fast and very efficient. Everything we needed we were given with no issues. We will definitely return if we come back to New York!

Delicious beef ribs

By w1967 |

Tried this restaurant by chance as it was near the theatre for a play we had tickets to. I was pleasantly surprised. The portions were huge and the beef ribs are amazing. Everyone was happy with their meal choice. Great restaurant.

Dinner Break

By fhwa1998 |

After working for a few hours I decided to take a break and have a late dinner. I arrived at 10:15pm and the restaurant is packed. I was seated immediately and my order arrived within minutes of my ordering. The honey basted rotisserie chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, and tasty. My soda was not flat and quite bubbly. My server was attentive and not overbearing. She ended my dinner with a cute cupcake with my check. I love this franchise and have been in many other locations. They differ in service from one to the other but food has not changed one bit. I would definitely recommend the sticky wing appetizer since its humongous. The half order of that chicken wings alone can fill you up. Their Onion Loaf is also to die for. Greasy but satisfying. Definitely not for the dieters.

Not like it used to be

By HipNJMom |

We recently tried Dallas BBQ again in the restaurant. We used to order from here all the time. The food came out immediately like it had been prepared way in advance and just reheated to serve us. The chicken and potato were all dried out. We won't be back.

EXCELLENT customer service & great food

By Drina C |

DALLAS BBQ is a top spot for a great feed!. The service was excellent! Our Server Jenny M was outstanding, being friendly, polite & quick to take our order. She was also very well versed on what food/drinks were available (the menu is quite large). The food was tasty, well presented & fresh. The general atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming & clean/tidy. On the service alone, my family will definitely visit again.

Delicious Cocktails

By Lisa5092 |

Very, very busy and loud restaurant filled with kids and large groups. Food quick and simple but very tasty. However, worth a visit just for the cocktails alone. Staff lovely and helpful, would visit again for the drinks and a snack - perhaps not for dinner.

A must try, something american

By Tour763730 |

While on vacation in an american land ..... after getting tired from the event and all the sightseeing, I suggested to a friend that I was strolling with a Swedish lady. since we’re in America so we should eat something american, an american dish in particular...while walking away from Eva theatre where we had attended an event earlier.... I saw this Dallas bbq and so we went in.... omg when I saw the menu wow 😮 I fell in love with it right away... I love pina. Colada so much and when I saw waffle with chicken?!? I got curious because it’s unusual, something I don’t think that match? Waffle and chicken???? Seriously 😳 and I ordered it out of curiosity ... it was sooo good I was surprise that somehow it taste good... it’s like opposite attracts 😂😍... first time visitors like me should try it, I highly recommend it😍😍😍

Cocktails are unreal!

By rmm92 |

We had an amazing night here! Went for food, although the main aim was to acquire some of their wildly hyped cocktails - and they definitely didn’t disappoint. 10/10 for presentation, with massive, colourful cocktails (and strong measures too). The service was good too, and overall the food was pretty decent. Give it a go for sure!

Terrible

By Rusty8170 |

Been here years ago and it was good. Not this time. Fries were old and cold, when I told the server he took the plate and just dumped more fries on top of the cold fries. The corn was mushy not crisp at all. The waitress was pouring more water and spilt water in my plate and just walked away. Will not go back.

pretty good

By Tasha N |

the drinks are very strong! You will not need the extra shot lol...the sticky wings were awesome, a good place to stop at while in nyc.

"Poor poor poor Quality of food"

By gizelle0806 |

The food at this restaurant was a grain of salt away from horrible.. From raw under cooked chicken on my daughters plate to getting oven roasted chicken with a bowl of bbq sauce on the side. My order was a honey bbq chicken n pork ribs platter only to find fried chicken with the honey sauce drizzled on it. When asked about it they said that is how the honey bbq is done. Smh? For crying out loud it is a BBQ restaurant, not roasted or fried chicken joint. Probably it is my training as a chef that had me so upset with the entire experience but to the regular (none chef) part of me BBQ means smoked infused meat drenched with a BBQ sauce. Defiantly not work the $$$.

Great Place for lunch or dinner.

By Kathleen H |

If you are by a Dalls BBQ in NYC and hungry I would recommend eating here. My grand-daughter and I ate here for dinner recently. I was nervous we would have to wait based on on the people I could see entering the restaurant while we walked up to it, but it is a huge restaurant. We were seated immediately. The menu has good choices Lots of starter choices, salads, wings, sides of beans corn on the cob, veggies, and fries. Burgers, brisket and ribs. The only fault I have is the children's menu is the same price and size as the adult portions. I dont drink but they have massively sized alcohol drinks that seemed like a decent price if you can finish it! Service was very good.

Fast service

By Curiosity32187099248 |

Came in hungry on a weeknight and left satisfied - solid value for the city. Server was upbeat and checked in without rushing, timing between courses was good. Food leans comforting: smoky ribs and crisp wings hit the spot, plenty on the plate. Dining room is casual and lively, good for groups or family nights. Drinks are strong and affordable, and overall the bill won’t break the bank. Would come back for a relaxed, tasty meal.

Very good

By honest@ |

Good attendance. Good food and very well served for the price They add the tip in the bill which makes things easier. The drinks are simply perfect. Easy quick and good. What else?

Very popular, well known BBQ in the Chelsea area - 8th Ave & 23rd

By TravelTellers |

I ordered the $8.99 quarter-chicken - a leg, of course, although you can order white meat, breast, for $1 more - with side salad. That leg came from a little chickie-baby. Delicious, just not very much. However, instead of my salad, it came with a pile of French fries! No time to complain as we were in a hurry & the place was very full. Friends ordered the salmon & fried shrimp dinner (IIRC, $15.99), said the salmon was perfect, the fried shrimp good but ordinary. Their salad was a tiny pre-pack plastic - very fresh, very good, very small. Salad dressing offerings are only the current fads - ranch, vinagrette, caesar. Very popular, prices are not bad by Manhattan standards, but portions are rather small, and service personnel are overloaded, not all that great as a result of their rush. Food is good, not great (except that really properly done salmon!).

wow great service and food

By David E |

what a great place to eat...super service and the place was packed two complete floors.. huge drinks and more food than anyone can consume.. great Bar B Que in New York...don;t miss out and very easy on the wallett

Excellent Food and Service!

By Sami W |

The food was affordable and yummy! The time I visited I had the new Power Bowl salad! It was huge and super delicious, I couldn't eat it all! My husband had the wings and WOW they are huge! Also delicious! Service is excellent. Only downfall is that it was SO loud (difficult to hold a conversation) and busy, but that indicates great food right?? Oh and the cocktails! You have to get a cocktail! Super yummy!

changed my opinion on BBQ restaurants

By Gert78 |

Having only arrived today in NYC and after a day of almost 24h, I didn't really have high expectations. I love a BBQ with friends (at home, in Belgium), but I've never had an American BBQ restaurant bringing me those flavours. Basically I chose this place because it was close to my hotel. I still didn't get the "BBQ at home flavours", but I did get, by far, the best meal I've ever had in a BBQ restaurant. If it wasn't for the enormous variety on offer in NYC, I'd go again later this week.

Very reasonably priced BBQ meal in Manhattan!!!

By Jim H |

My buddy from high school picked this place for our meeting for dinner. He told me that the food was excellent and the prices were also excellent. He was right!! When I arrived, I found him already there and we were immediately seated. The place was very busy with most tables taken. Our server was attentive and took good care of us. Over all, it was a very pleasant place to be and I was happy with the experience. Nothing was "worn out" or broken and the place was well decorated and well kept. My meal was the "Early Bird Special:" I has the Chicken Vegetable Soup with the Half Rotisserie Chicken with BBQ sauce. I also had the yellow rice. My meal was more than adequate and quite good -- considering that it only cost $8.99. An absolute bargain. My friend recommended that selection and he was right on target. He also told me that he frequents the place more than occasionally. I would definitely go back there next time I am in Manhattan.

I go for the drinks

By KerryChadA |

If you want a GREAT drink for a decent price then go here. The wings are pretty great as well. The rest of the food is a little above average. It's not bad by any means but it's not excellent either. You'll be fine if you go here. The staff is great.

Food poisoning

By Shaniah J |

Got severe food poisoning from this place. Go at your own risk. Got the early bird special and some coffee ate nothing else for the rest of the day and at 4am had the worst food poising of my life, even 2 days late I’m still suffering.

Great American Experience

By GlenFC |

This restaurant was a great treat for us being from Australia. It was exactly what we had hoped for in regard to service, menu options and portion size. Both the drinks and food menu was excellent, service great, generous portions and the cocktails were huge and strong in flavour. I have no complaints.

One Mistake Ruined a Meal

By Nick Connoisseur |

I’ve been to many BBQ Dallas’ in this city and this one was by far the worst all due to one little mistake. Now when you ask your self the question what does a complete meal consist of? The answer: To put it simply a Combination of 2 of the following items carbohydrates, protein, and vegetables; and of course a drink. Now my party consisted of three members there that is three meals with three drinks. We ordered three frozen drinks now those drinks each include at least one cherry. How many did we get: 1… This made me OUTRAGED I threatened to sue them for false advertising but, instead they made up for it by giving a bowl of cherries. And to add insult to injury THE CHERRIES WERE MEDIOCRE some even tasted funny! Also the service was insufferable towards the beginning of me and my party’s dining experience! And it was very hot! And the food was ok.

New York 2017

enjoyed place with good portions and verity. some of the drinks looked very nice Staff friendly Opposite 23rd Subway

We had read loads of reviews

By Angela M |

We had read loads of reviews on this place so decided it was a great place to go. Atmosphere was great , cocktails amazing. However the food was was very disappointing, food was cold over cooked and dry. No one came to check on us to see how our food was. So when we finally got someone to acknowledge us they were rude. We may have just been unlucky today. But wouldn’t go back.

Good restaurant

By JJ6029 |

Impersonal welcome neither good nor bad. Ribs, salads were good. The doses are American, we leave the tables and we are not hungry!

Good restaurant

By TheWandererUk |

Had dinner here tonight. Great value, good food and a nice buzz about the place. Would definitely go again next time in New York.

OK, but wouldn't go back

By Carlee G |

Had several options. I got the steak and baby back ribs. The ribs were not fall-off-the-bone. Very dry and the steak was just eh. I've had much better several times at several other places. Texas Roadhouse can outdo this any day. I feel bad for the poor review, but was hoping for better. Always saw tons of people there, so there must be something else worth the money.

traditional bbq food, great cocktails

By Hagar08540 |

We went here for Thanksgiving as we were in town for work. Had a pretty decent thanksgiving dinner with colleagues, but the cocktails where the good (and dangerous :) ) ones. Ok service as it was busy.

Good deals on early bird

By BruinsFanNJ |

Good selections of wings and BBQ. New power bowls with spinach salad topped with quinoa, beans, avocado, and choices of grilled chicken, beef, shrimp, or salmon. Generous portion in general. Truffled mac and cheese was very good. We usually have no room for desserts. This location in Chelsea is much less crowded than the Times Square location.

One of the best locations

By 325chantelleb |

First off you can't beat the prices and portions of food. This is one of the best locations I think out of all of the Dallas BBQ in NYC. The staff is amazing as well as management.

Lunch before visiting Hudson Yards

By Shantamr36 |

Great Location! Pleasant workers. Awesome drinks. Nice seating! Spacious restaurant! This was my first time visiting. The food was ok. I didn’t care for my chicken. The corn bread was not great. I would return to try something new off menu.

OK - Nothing Special

By Joseph M |

Big, loud, and the food was typical of a suburban strip mall chain restaurant. Nothing great - nothing bad. Average service. Nothing to make me want to go back.

Can't beat the Price at Dallas BBQ

By larry11007 |

The Food is Inconsistent when its good its great but that doesn't happen all the time at Dallas BBQ. The onion Loaf I had this time was just warm and the outside was crispy but the inside was raw. The chicken was dry but you can't beat the price at Dallas BBQ. If you go before 6:30 you can get the early bird special where you get a cup of Chicken Soup, 1/2 chicken, corn bread, and either french fries, baked potato or rice and if you hit them right it can be delicious but that isn't always the case but the price is right for sure unless you drink alcohol then the price goes up quite abit! considerable for their fancy drinks.

A place to go

By qstnmk |

Nice traditional American steak house. Good service and big portions. Very good prices to be in Manhattan. We particularly appreciated ribs.

very good service and food

By Dr. A. |

I visited this place two times and each time I and my family were happy with their choice. The staff is friendly and serves you fast. The quality of food is good, the sitting area is cozy and provides lots of space. After meals the restaurant gifts you small and tasty muffin. the seafood combo, chicken tenders and chicken Caesar salad are recommended.

Great food in a very busy restaurant

By Dave E |

We ate here on our recent trip to new York as this was round the corner from our hotel in 23rd street. It was a Saturday night and the place was packed and noisy due to the volume of customers. The food was great and the portions were big, plus it was tasty too. Some of the cocktails looked amazing too. The prices are also reasonable as well. The staff here work very hard. Every time a table left it was emptied, cleaned, re set up and someone else sat there within 60 seconds. Well worth a visit if your in town.

Yummy BBQ ... big portions

By Louise V |

I had the bbq chicken sandwich with cole slaw and tons of fries and my husband had the lunch sized half ribs with corn bread. Very good and plenty to eat. Shared small crab cakes which were tasty. Very loud place but spacious.

great value and excellent food

By ricw23 |

this is a chain of reasonably priced restaurants in the 5 boros. their early bird dinner is the absolute best deal and their drinks are excellent. you cannot go wrong at this place.

Topnotch service

By Joe V. |

The food is very good and better than what we expected from a BBQ restaurant. The service, however was excellent and we couldn't wait to tell all our friends about it.

You wiill go there more than once

By Russell B |

Great food at a reasonable price. Best coleslaw that I had in month of traveling the U.S. Service was quick and staff very friendly. Was a bit noisy and crowded the two times I went there, but I recommend the place. If I ever get to New York again, I will go there again.

Great food at Dallas BBQ, Chelsea

By mapglobal2 |

I stopped in at Dallas BBQ in Chelsea the other night for a quick meal. I like this location because it’s convenient, close to my gym, and open pretty late. On this occasion I ordered honey dipped chicken over cheddar-scallion waffles. This dish was so good. The chicken retained its super crispness even under great tasting sauce. I was unexpectedly surprised over how good it was. Definitely recommended! My companion had a half rack of ribs, coleslaw, and cornbread. The ribs had such a nice smoky flavor to them. Got to also recommend that, as well. I’ve been here numerous times over the years, and I’ve never been disappointed. The menu is pretty basic and straightforward, and you should be able to find something that you like. If you’re in the area then I would definitely recommend giving it a shot, as I’m sure you’ll love it.

Wings to Die For... and a Pina Colada to Match

By NorwichBeachbum |

it was busy, crowded, and packed with atmosphere.... I ordered the hot wings with cool ranch, with a pina colada on the side and it was the best goddamn thing I've ever eaten in my life.... As my mate said: "endless pleasure". Flipping from the perfectly hot crispy wings to the strong cold pina colada and back again. Just. Joy.

Dinner

By Centralbow |

Went for dinner, I had veggie burger which was ok, partner had chicken, ribs and fries, portion was very large which he couldn't finish. Best thing was the extra large daiquiri. If you are looking for a reasonably priced meal this is the place.

Wonderful expereince

By Chantelle F |

Our waitress... I fail to remember her name, but she was such a delight. Her service, advice and table manner were all exceptional! She advised us on a great value for money dish and we left full and satisfied. I don't think we ate for the rest of the day. The restroom was clean and the restaurant had a nice vibe to it.

It hit the spot!

By Danield528 |

Three of us stopped in for a late night dinner. We ordered way too much food - 10 wings (which were enormous, delicious, and super meaty), a taco salad (also huge) and three entrees. My ribs and chicken were fantastic. The ribs were tender and fell off the bone. The honey covered fried chicken was awesome. None of us even touched the sides that came with the meals. Was about $100 with two appetizers, there entrees, soft drinks and tip. Surprisingly good BBQ.

Good BBQ

By LaMar |

Good food, great service. We had a large party everything came out at the same time and nothing was cold.

YUMMY

By Francois C |

If you like barbecue ribs it’s the place to be. In addition, many good restaurants have become very expensive, DALLAS BBQ remains affordable. Their Frozen Margueritas xxl…. Yummy with an extra shot of tequila. The menu is extensive and there is even a large salad for vegetarians or vegans. On every trip to New York, this is a must stop.

Great for families. Lovely food.

By Teresa L |

We selected this restaurant as it was a good location to our hotel and it had good reviews. We weren't disappointed. It was a Thursday evening and busy, but there were tables free so we didn't need to book. It was a great place for families and a little noisy, but it didn't out us off at all. Anyone who is hard of hearing may find it a challenge however. We didn't have a starter as we wanted something lighter, but we chose spicy ribs, BBQ ribs, cheese burger and Mac 'n' cheese. Everything was very tasty and very good value for money. The staff were very friendly and attentive too. It was nice to eat somewhere that wasn't is tourist area for a change.

NOT impressed

By coachliston |

When my wife and I were visiting NYC we met up with a former 🏀 player of mine. He suggested Dallas BBQ. I got the lunch baby back ribs. Not very good, I’ve had my fair share of BBQ and this was at the bottom. I would NOT recommend or go back 👎

Heaven on Earth..

By Gabriel M |

No place like this, all the food is so good and tasty can't find it anywhere else.... I whish I could find it in more places around the usa but they're only in new york... But I will visit every time I can for sure....

Time and time again!!!

Hennessey wings, awesome!!!, sticky wings, awesome!!!, ribs & shrimp!!! awesome!!!, chicken and shrimp!! awesome!!! My friends had salmon and fish!! Everyone was totally satisfied. Sticky baby back ribs….drool!!

Recommended by our hotel and we were not disappointed. Drinks were yum, the sticky baby back ribs are to die for, so, so good. Also had a burger and sticky wings, again, very tasty.

Date Night

By Toya W |

My favorite restaurant. The food is great and the drinks even better.Alot of flavorful drinks. You must dine here...

Lousy experience

By Donald T |

We ate in this restaurant a year ago and it was not too bad, convenient to our hotel. Our latest visit, however, was terrible. I ordered a barbeque and brisket sandwich which had absolutely no flavor. The French fries which came with it were like cardboard. Having in mind the size glass in which iced tea is usually served, we ordered a "regular" size tea rather than a "Texas" size tea. Mistake. It was a tiny little glass and we were told "we don't give refills." We ended up ordering a "Texas" size as well, about the size we were originally expecting, and of course were charged for both. Won't go back here, no matter how convenient.

A good place to eat

By johnC_9 |

Huge portions, great ribs and wings. Cheap enough for the food you get. Drinks are massive and strong.

Good burger

By Rebecca S |

We were just walking by and decided since they had stuff my kids eat, we would stop for lunch. The food was ok, but based on how empty the place was it could have been a lot better. If you get soggy room temperature fries when there is only 20 people in the place, what happens when they are slammed? My burger was good, the portions were large, that service was good. I would go back, but maybe not on purpose.

Great for meat lovers

By Peterandhelenplus6 |

Typical burger and chicken fast food restaurant, good quality food, minimal queues, reasonable value for money

Quality food and cocktails,

Quality food and cocktails, great value for money. A must every time we visit the big apple.... highly recommended

Great food, great cocktails

By Loretta |

I have been to NY 4 times and very often I went for dinner in this nice place. Meat is really good, quantities are great for the price. Cocktails are various and definitely great. I really suggest it

Mmmm ... good KC-style barbecue in Chelsea

By Brad R |

Friendly staff, quick service, lively atmosphere and good food! Loved the classic coleslaw and the best cornbread I've had in a long time! One suggestion for improvement - REFILLS on iced tea please!

Good enough to be outside Texas

By JavierLC15 |

Nothing special that you would not get in another restaurant where Ribs are serve (Chilli's, Hard Rock, Apple Bee's, etc). When I saw the name Dallas BBQ I was expecting something similar to what you get in Texas. The Baby Ribs have a good flavor and tender. The restaurant do not have one of the key dishes in Texas, the Brisket. There are some restaurant that you can not missed when you are visiting a place, this is not one of those.

Great value. OK food.

By pucciNewYork_NyUsa |

A friend of mine who I get together for dinner about once a month suggested we check this place out. This is not your regular Chelsea dining destination. The place is run efficiently - you get in, sit down, order drinks. Orders come back quick - one wonders if these entrees are pre-cooked waiting to be rushed to your table. It's a good spot for cheap eats. Nothing fancy. Nothing to write home about. For an even better deal, opt for the dinner early bird special - $7.99 for half bbq chicken with one side choice and corn bread. Ask to have the sauce (honey or bbq) to be served on the side since they dump it on generously on your half-chicken. Cheap eats for those budget dates.

Not good

By Paul C |

The worst meal I have ever eaten, sticky ribs were like eating pure sugar, onion loaf was greasy, broccoli tempora not good. The only redeeming feature was the service, the waitress was lovely.

Another Fabulous Date Night

By Angela Robinson |

So hubby and I spontaneously decided to hop on the train (Amtrak) and take a ride to NYC. We weren’t sure where we were going to go or what we were going to do. We got off of the train and started walking. On our way to Times Square the scent caught our attention. We were like.. let’s go there. Now I’m gonna tell you, there’s gonna be a line but don’t let that factor intimidate you. If 11 people come out of the building, they are counting the next 11 people in line to enter in. Once you get in there, there is a person directing you on which way to go. Then they find out how many in your party, radio to the waitress, and they will direct you to the area to go to. It is very organized. We were on the third floor right at the top of the steps. The place is busy, busy but the wait time between seating and being attended to was about 2 minutes. Daniel was our waiter and he took excellent care of us. He advised on the frozen drinks and they were absolutely delicious. Hubby and I both ordered ribs and let me tell you, the prices for NYC were $$. Better than I expected. You may as well get the 2 slabs for $20. Yep, you read that correctly, 2 slabs of baby back ribs for $20. Again, atmosphere is busy but it was great. The only drawback was the ladies room. Maybe it’s the busy atmosphere that keeps it hard to keep up. Lots of toilets weren’t flushed and kind of dirty around them. But again, it’s a busy place so it might make it hard to keep up. Hubby said the men’s room was clean. But go there...it is soooooooo worth it.

Largest Chicken Wings Ever

By Ryan J |

With all good intentions of having dinner here, once we had drinks and the chicken wings arrived, three of the four of us were full. The chicken wings were the largest I have ever seen. I asked our waitress if they were pterodactyl wings. She said no, it was chicken, but the chicken was four foot nine inches tall. Since I passed on the wings, I ordered the chicken with cheese herb waffles. This was very good, but I would have preferred the chicken to be boneless.

Delicious

By Irish-mad-venturer |

A lovely feed! Although this is a busy spot, we were seated promptly and our orders taken with food arriving shortly after and we were not disappointed. At the end of our meal the waiter arrived with a plate of mini cupcakes which was a tasty surprise. My only regret is that we didnt get back there for another belly full before leaving town.

Stick with ordering the chicken!

By 457karleef |

This place was PACKED! and really loud! Make a reservation online before arriving. Wait staff was working their tails off! The people cleaning off the tables were working like a Nascar Pit Crew. It was fascinating to watch them!!! I enjoyed my food, my husband- not so much. Stick the the chicken. Sticky wings were heavenly and large. Almost a honey mustard flavor, but labeled as sticky for a reason! I didn't mind the ribs, though we've gone to a rib place in West Virginia that is better. My husband said his steak was terrible. His chicken on the combo was the winner, according to him. The fried shrimp was good. Fries needed more salt- maybe even some vinegar. Every dinner comes with a free strawberry cake pop at the end, which was a nice surprise we hadn't expected. I also had a non-alcoholic pina colada with tangerine syrup. It was AMAZING! I would go back. However, if you're looking for ambiance, this is not the place to go.

Pretty good

By Ashley21502 |

Our group of 6 stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. We were pleased. Mostly everyone ordered something with BBQ, while I ordered a steak. The steak was not a great cut so I probably wouldn't order that again. Mixed drinks were good but a little pricey and soda refills are not free. At $4 a pop, I wish I had know in advance but overall it was a decent experience and an upbeat atmosphere.

Good BBQ and Burgers

By Alison S |

Ate here with family before an event at NYU. Service was speedy and friendly. (The place was hopping.) Your basic BBQ selection plus lots of other options including baked potatoes.

Big Ribs

By JonHenry76 |

The food is reasonably priced and is decent enough, the ribs however where massive and well worth having, Be warned you will get sticky fingers. The downside is whilst we weren’t rushed to finish the place does have the rushed feeling about it, the food is withyou within two minutes of ordering.

Great food - friendly staff

By Thomas M |

Really great experience with the family. Had the double rack baby back ribs. Wonderful, falls off the bone. Have been sitting at the window and could watch street-life. Will come again!

Yum Yum Yum!!! NOM NOM NOM!!!!

By pghcutie72 |

I think that I am addicted to their wings. Especially, the sticky wings. They are sooooo delicious and huge!!!! Very flavorful and crispy. They stay nice & juicy too. Their frozen drinks are nice & strong too. You definitely get your money's worth. I enjoyed them so much, that I ordered more to take back home with me to Pittsburgh. They will be my goto for takeout and/or dine in when I travel back to New York City. Try them. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Brilliant food

By Iuliana G |

Even better then “The old steakhouse” We vent there because we would see busy day and night, my partner and I just decided to go for it. Was the best decision ever 🤤 the bbq ribs are phenomenal , chicken the same the drinks outstanding, Mac and cheese just perfect. The waiter tall guy with beard was one of the best we experienced cin New York so far . I we would.

The staff is not trained to provide good customer service.

By Arthur B |

We went to Dallas BBQ for dinner. We have been Dallas BBQ regulars for an at least 15 years but today's service was enough to put us off for life! The staff is not trained to provide good customer service. The manager comes over and was acting like he was mad at us and his attitude was horrible. Total disrespect for people with disabilities. I won't ever go back when in the mood for Dallas BBQ will definitely go to other location, On top I still had the tip accounted for in my bill. Ridiculous!! A very disappointing meal and we will be spreading the word to friends and family to avoid this place.

Lunch visit

By Bull J |

We had the opportunity to have lunch here. We all thought the food was below par and didn't accommodate Celiac patient very well although they said they could. I felt rushed out. If you like food with flavor skip this place.

Excellent loved it!!

By David K |

Came here twice because it was so excellent the first time. Excellent staff, excellent food, excellent drinks! Kids absolutely loved it and wanted us to come back the second time - great place and atmosphere and plenty of choice! Great frozen cocktails, had the 32oz “famous frozen cocktails” and they were awesome! Would not hesitate to come back!!

Lovely family tea

By weekd09 |

Great for family dining. Brilliant selection available on the menu. Food tasted good and the portions were too large to finish.

Dallas BBQ, Chelsea, NYC

By Steve D |

We wanted something a little different and away from the Times Square area for dinner one evening, so we thought we'd take a stroll down towards Chelsea. We saw this place and popped in. It's a lively place, with decent music and a wild west saloon vibe. Fine dining it isn't, but it's a really decent place for couples and groups. We were seated immediately, and our waitress came up and took our drinks order. We both had soft drinks, and my wife had a regular, I had a large. More on that later... The menu has a decent choice of burgers, steaks, chicken, and sides. I chose a double bacon cheeseburger with rice, and my wife had the BBQ Special (steak, ribs, and chicken) with rice and corn bread. I also had a 'small' side of chicken wings, too. So.... the drinks arrive and my wife has a regular sized glass of Coke. I have no idea what they did with the goldfish that occupied my glass before they put my drink in it, but it was huge. The food was great, the burger was excellent, and the entire pack of bacon that was in it was nice and crispy. My wife's food was excellent and cooked to perfection (her words) and or was all very tasty indeed. The 'small' portion of wings caused some surprise as I'm pretty sure they weren't attached to a chicken, more like an albertross (I joke... they we just SO big and were the best wings I've had. Excellent food at a very reasonably price and great service. Well recommended.

Go for the drinks

By Terrea M |

Texas-sized frozen drinks are fantastic. Food's ok. Located in Chelsea. Wings are huge, the 11 piece order is enough for three people.

Good Texas BBQ

By speedymurf |

Very attentive and fast service. We had beef ribs and ceasares salad with chicken. The ribs were very delicious, harmoniously seasoned and tender. The salad was so la la. Although tons of chicken were draped on the salad, this was unfortunately unimaginatively seasoned and rather dry.

Good BBQ for New York

By lvosx |

Its not Texas BBQ, but its good. Service is all over the place, so don't think your getting the best. We had a party of twelve and it was choas, but everyone enjoyed the food and ambiance. BBQ is more of a tangy/vinegar sauce. Chicken wings are must and the ribs are ok. We avoided the times square location and chose this one, which is just a busy with locals.

Terrible Steak

By Joe D |

Terrible steak dry, tough and small. Ripoff pricewise. Would not go there again. I would advise others to not go there. There are other steak places.

Good food

By Bluesman94 |

Called here for dinner before going to nearby Astor Place Theatre. Great value food. The portions are huge. I had the chicken and rib combo. Really good. Service friendly and attentive. Worth a visit if you are in the area

Nothing but stunning tasty foods & coctails

By LindaMV5184CT |

The service and the food was great. Delicious salmon plus fresh vegetables. Super friendly staff very attentive. Nothing to comment on except thumbs up for all round experience

The best steak we have had on along time

By Cudds |

We ordered duo combo , crispy shrimp , BBQ ribs , sirloin steak , fries & crispy onions , just what the doctor ordered and our waitress was very professional in all her duties. Our meal was excellent and the bill was very wallet friendly. The star of the show was the steak, cooked as we like it , juicy , full of flavour I could have cut it with a spoon. We fly back to London tonight , we only wish we would have eaten here when we first arrived a week ago and not the day we are leaving .

Cheap eat with a taste of Barbecue

By Kirk B |

This place is like a first date spot. The food is good a cheap for what you get. The atmosphere is very lively and there is lots of people watching going on.

Good BBQ

By Paula F |

My husband and I went for lunch and was seated right away. Our food was served fast and hot. No complaints about the food, but the waitress never came back to see if we needed anything. We finished our meal and someone else picked up our plates, still no waitress. She couldn't be bothered, her and two other staff members were to busy talking. We had to ask for our check, not once but twice.

Highly Recommended

By kmbz22 |

Gorgeous food, quick service and friendly waiting staff. I would recommend this to anyone who is hungry! But don't worry if you don't finish it they will give you a takeaway box for you left overs. When they ask if you want something Texas Size they mean HUGE. Worth the visit if you are a fan of bbq/home comfort food or just want to go for the experience.

Really good food

By Langerhuus |

The best in town Only one thing makes me want to leave- there's always a lot of noise in the restaurant

Good BBQ, Crazy Sized Bar Drinks, relaxed atmosphere

By Denise D |

This place is located on the NW corner of 23rd and 8th Avenue. I've eaten here twice; lunch with Friends and Dinner with my Family. A good place to come if you are hungry, want to keep your dining budget intact and like a variety of BBQ selections. They also have this amazing bank of iced drink makers behind the bar served in large portions. This is a favorite among locals and a good place to get a reasonably priced meal in Chelsea that will fill you up.

ehh

By Farah B |

When you are all geared up for the hot wings and they come out tasting blah there is much disappointment. The sauce was off, service slow even though it was a slow night(not much patrons). Maybe they had so much orders that into ok longer than the average time to get the food. Our server was good, location is ideal but for the Livingston branch... this night was not it. I did not drink but for BBQ on the whole it's a great spot! My Uncle did enjoy the ribs.

There are many better eating options close by

By KeenPhotographer-11 |

3 stars just. A large venue that was way too noisy when busy, with the tables just too close together. Locals hitting the huge cocktails were very evident. I ordered Fish and Chips but the actual meal does not come with ‘chips’ or fries. Only in America ! 3 pieces of battered, deep fried cod on bread rolls with a salad. An ok only then meal. My wife though had a pleasing prawn salad. Typical NYC $$ prices and do not forget the 18% tip for the very mediocre “service”. Will not be returning in our 8 night NYC stay.

Great food

By Eric C |

We were recommend this by many people and we were not disappointed at all! The food was amazing, except the steak, but it is mandatory that you get their tangy wings. We ate there earlier in the morning and decided to return back later that night. The wings are huge their drinks are mixed just correctly.

GOOD BBQ

By shaviya76 |

Nice establishment. Waitress was very friendly and gave good recommendations. The food was average. Tasted very good. Had a nice smoked flavor on the pulled pork sandwich. Their burgers were juicy and well seasoned. The sesame buns on the burger and pulled pork was a let down but overall the meat made up for it. I will advise ordering the Texas size for soft drinks. The regular is the size of a small drink and no refills. The Hennessey wings were great. A little too wet and saucy but they were good.

Too bad!

By orsetta |

We ate the best fried onions ever : lots and lots of crispy! Everything else very disappointing, fat meat, fried mixed soggy, shrimp so so so

Top

Top atmosphere and great service Various dishes Super good Ribs the sauce is just magic Rates are frankly reasonable compared to NYC rates

I arrived late and this place was recommended to me by the hotel receptionist. A typical American eatery , with a typical american menu , so burgers and fries, not the best not the worst Useful if you need to feed your body and not satisfy your soul Service prompt and efficient

After theater

By Michael C |

This was not our first choice, but it was a Saturday night in the Times Square area. Place is huge and is very noisy. The food was just okay. I’ve had better at many places. Our server Angel did a nice job.

Huge noisy restaurant

By SFhotelpro |

This is not a restaurant I would choose for any other reason than proximity to my Aunt's apartment and she will only walk so far at 86. Food is mediocre but they give you lots. Drinks are overly sweet. Service is medicore and sometimes non existent. You can get better bbq in NYC.

Disappointing!

By Laney02 |

The only thing this restaurant has going for it is that the prices are reasonable. My chicken sandwich was underwhelming... just sliced rotisserie chicken with a modest amount of BBQ sauce. A piece of the chicken came with an unexpected bone fragment. Lots of fries but they were very average and not seasoned. Service was so slow that the food arrived before the drinks, and my drink tasted like dishwater. Waitress never returned to the table until she dropped off the check.

Awesome food and drinks

By John L |

The chicken wings were amazing. The steak beautifully done. The frozen drink were absolutely out of this world and the the price was the best we’ve experienced in New York.

They give you so much food!

By terri355 |

This restaurant has some really good food. Order one meal for every two people. They give you so much. I had a delicious Spinach Salad with mushroom and grilled salmon. The bowl that it ame in was the same size that I serve my family of 4. My husbands bbq ribs were so big that they could have easily feed my family as well! The grilled salmon was the best that I have EVER tasted. I have left The USA and i'm hime wishing I could get some more of that salmon, They do 't have a dessert menu but they give complimentary mini cupcakes. We took ours with us. They were delicious. i will go back ther, but this time i konw how to order because I hate to see food wasted. The service was fast and the wIters were friendly and attentive.

Big/Loud

By pat b |

Decent food and service on a post Thanksgiving w/e. No beer but lots of fancy margaritas and good corn bread too. Sauce was tangy and sweet and meat tender and plenty. Good for first timers here.

WAS my fave place in Chelsea

By 83Andrew |

Still great value and good food.....I do suggest you do not go in there for just a drink....The 2 barmen that work there are arrogant and do NO service to the vibe of the restaraunt.

Amazing dinner and cocktails

By alipscott |

We went here for dinner on our 2nd night in new York and what a night. The dinner was fantastic. I had steak and prawns and my husband had chicken and prawns. Along with a cocktail with an extra shot. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. We even went back another night.

Just what the doctor ordered

By ange1806 |

Excellent service. Friendly server. All staff were accommodating. 1/4 chicken was a bit dry. But otherwise enjoyed my combo meal. Our drink frozen cocktail moscatova was delicious.

Bad attitude

By Eduardo S |

Phone was very low battery Asked server for an outlet to charge I was send out side to the street outlet To do so Finally we had a table downstairs Too much noise can't hear what the waiters is offering My fault to choose such a cheap place Will prefer other restaurants in Chelsea Next time

Chain Food

By NewYorker10458 |

Ordered fish and chips. Fish disappointing chips okay. Beer selection unexpectedly weak, given the menu.

Just right for busloads of tourists

By Rosetwig |

In fact, there were some huge groups there when we had dinner! Large, noisy, run of the mill food, and as someone who lived in Dallas, the name is not a accurate. The best element in the brisket and pulled pork combo sandwich was the bread... really good. The pork was flavorful, but seemed to come out of a crock pot, not a smoker. The brisket was awful. The Cole slaw was good, as was the side salad. My spouse enjoyed the baked potato. People around us seemed to be enjoying big drinks with paper umbrellas and other garnishes. Not a place I’d visit a second time, unless I needed to accommodate a high school class trip. Kids love wings and fries.

Excellent!!!

By Paschalis Z |

Quality & tasty food, big portions, reasonable prices, cosy atmosphere and kind service!!! Highly recommended!!!

Awful food, very noisy

By Riches07 |

We ate here for dinner after a week in New York and the food was terrible. All food was over cooked and dry. It was so noisy in there you couldn't have a proper conversation. Much better places in Chelsea for the same price.

I will never go there, again

By Zoran-K |

Sorry, but just to be clear: For me personaly absolute, No Go. Personal rude, bearish, I felt never myself, aß a customer, more like disturber. Food also avarage, tend to down. Sorry not recommended. Terrible for me.

Reasonably priced with massive drinks and large serves

By vincem50 |

A mid priced to cheap place to eat with a reasonable menu, and pretty large serves. The most amazing thing was their range of frozen cocktails which come in 30 Ounce glasses, only alcoholics could drink more than one. Service was good, and the atmosphere was western themed.

Good

By 2214 |

You can come there, rich and varied menu with choices also suitable for vegetarians. Obviously, typical US dishes such as burgers, steaks, etc. reign supreme. Average prices and rich portions.

Very good

By Asdrubale |

Great food, grilled meat very good and plentiful. Large and nice room. Courteous staff. We ate very well and recommend

Good and fair price

By Clem |

Affordable compared to Down town NY restaurants. Yasmine was helpful with the choice of meal. Best place to eat since NY arrival.

Manager don’t know customer service

By Gerry T |

So me and my girlfriend decided that we’ll give this location a try and not our usual spot the Dallas BBQ over at Junction. The worst experience ever. We came on 03/06/2025 around 7 45pm. we asked for a booth and they made such a big deal that the manager was call. There were two empty booths, and it was empty for the whole duration that we were there. The manager refused to accommodate something that so small and cares less about customer service also was very rude and condescending. The food was a three out of a 10 the rice was very hard and not cook properly. Overall, I give this location a two out of 10 will not ever come back. Complete waste of money.
